I wonder this afternoon are there any blessed people in the house are there any blessed people in the house well that's not I said are there any blessed people in the house today some of us can't acknowledge our blessing because we don't trust God I want to turn your attention for just a few moments to the Book of Psalms chapter one Psalms chapter 1. and I'm going to read verse 1. Psalms chapter 1 verse 1. blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of Sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful but his Delight verse 2 is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate can I go ahead and just throw it another step further and say in his law doth he trusts day and night and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth fruit in his season his leap shall not wither this is a blessed man that sitteth nod or walking on the counsel of the ungodly but Delights in the law of the Lord and whatsoever he do it the rest of verse 3 he shall prosper The Godly are not so but are like the chaff which the wind driveeth away therefore the ungodly shall not stand in judgment nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous for the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly Shall Perish you know we start this first scripture and this first passage in the Book of Psalms which is a Psalm you know the word Psalm in and of itself is a song of Celebration the word the word Psalms means it is songs that were written to magnify God it's not coincidence that the very first thing that the book of Psalms opens up with is blessed is the man because people of God should be blessed people they should live blessed they should walk blessed and Opus if you did not know I'm going to give you a quick music lesson brother Duran can always correct anything that's incorrect because I am not a musician but I want to talk to you for just a moment about an opus see an opus is a song A Joyful Melody it's a beautiful song usually the culmination of a significant period of time or a specified time of the writer this song culminates maybe a couple of songs or a couple of things that that kind of push together the final stages of the author or the musician the songwriter the composer's work the most well-known Opus you will find if you do a little search is Beethoven's magnum opus and Beethoven's magnum opus contains his Knight not sympathy no Symphony and it combines something else but those were the latter stages of his life and yet it is that song that Opus that demonstrates the greatness of who Beethoven was as a composer it was the culmination of his life's work in Psalms chapter one we read about a man that is or an individual that is blessed when he follows the things of God there is Time and Time Again song after song after song is written in the in the Book of Psalms about a man that is pursuing after a relationship a beautiful song in the presence of almighty God every Psalm was written as a celebration of what had just happened and what was yet to come it was a song of trust but it was also a song of celebration of the blessings of God in an individual's life in the writer's life I want to read if you would indulge me for just a moment The Book of Psalms chapter one I want to read it from the New Living Translation to compare with the King James it reads like this oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked or stand around with Sinners or join in with mockers but they Delight in the law of the Lord meditating on a day and night they are like trees planted along the riverbank bearing forth fruit in each season their leaves never wither and they prosper in all that they do that is the blessed man the blessed man that pursues after God and doesn't look at all the things going wrong but places his faith and trust in God that is the blessed man one need only jump over to the Book of Matthew chapter 3 to understand or chapter five excuse me to understand what it truly means to be a blessed man because we call them now the Beatitudes but Jesus in his Sermon on the Mount beginning in verse 3 begins by saying blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven hey guys if you're poor and you're broken if you're blessed even in the middle of that understand there is a blessing that you have because you have access to the kingdom of heaven blessed are they them more when heartache and pain is there the word says you are blessed in the middle of that pain you are blessed in the middle of all that because you shall be comforted I am blessed today amen anybody else blessed in this house verse 4 verse 5 blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth blessed are they which through hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain Mercy blessed are the pure in heart for they shall seek God blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake I'm telling you today we are a blessed people and if we trust God then we have access to the blessings of God we are blessed people we have been given an opus we have been given a song we have the Opus of the Blessed the Opus and the blessing of the song I want to turn your attention again to that next verse in Matthew Chapter 5 where it says this in verse 12 rejoice rejoice rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven for so they persecuted the prophets which were before I'm telling you today our song of the blast the Opus of a blessed life is one that says you know what things aren't going right things aren't going like I think they should I'm broken I'm hurting I don't know which way to turn if I trust God though the opens of the Blessed Lord says I can sing my song of rejoicing I can sing my song a celebration Psalms chapter 150. the Opus of the Blessed Life is a melody of a life which has been blessed the opus of a blessed life is an uncompromised unfettered celebration of what God has done what God is presently doing and what God will do it's not a celebration of where you are in the moment but it's a celebration of if he did this today I know what he can do tomorrow if he did this yesterday I know what he can do today because I have a blessed life and I have a song as James Wilson says I got a song and I'll sing it loud praise is pouring out and I will dance in my freedom now because praise is coming out Psalms 150 . can you stand with me today Psalms 150. if you don't know where this Falls this is the very last chapter in the Book of Psalms we started off by declaring blessed is the man and we end if you go back it's four or five different chapters of the book of Psalms in those last few chapters that all end with the song of Celebration they didn't look at all the ailments he didn't look at all the pains they didn't look at what was around them and the times he should have been defeated but when those things rear their ugly head in our life we have to understand this afternoon that if our trust is in God we are blessed beyond measure and even though I may let God down I may fail him from time to time there is a song inside my soul there is a song that is yearning to come out Psalms 150 starts off and says praise ye the Lord praise God in his Sanctuary Praise Him in the firmament of his power praise him for his mighty acts praise him because of his excellent greatness praise him with the sound of the trumpet praise him with the Sultry and harp praise him with the timbrel and the dance Praise Him with the stringed instruments and organs Praise Him upon the loud symbols Praise Him upon the high sounding symbols blessed is the man blessed is those that are hurting blessed are those that are broken blessed are those that are going through pain and heartache when the world is crumbling around me I'm here to tell you again this afternoon you are blessed Beyond master you are blessed beyond your comprehension even when you don't know it you are blessed I remember the old song We sang I am blessed every day that I leave I am blessed when I wake up in the morning oh I lay my head to rest I am blessed high and blessed one more time I've got one more verse I want to read but one more time can we sing that I'm blessed I am blessed best every day that I leave I am blessed when I wake up in the morning lay my head to rest I am blessed against High come on do you believe that today because the word tells us that the Opus of a blessed life praise him with everything you have within you praise him on all the tangible things that you can lay your hand upon but the most important way we're supposed to praise him because everyone that has breath in their lungs is blessed whether you realize it or not see as long as you have breath in your lungs you are not defeated every time you have a dick take a breath you can remind the devil that hey this meant to destroy me but I am not done yet because I am blessed every day that I live I am blessed and Psalms 150 verse 6 says let everything that have breath praise the Lord I wish there was somebody in the room today that would begin to let the Opus of your blessed life begin to ReSound in this room come on let thee hope us let the song of the blessings of God begin to ReSound from within you Rejoice Rejoice Rejoice you are blessed you gotta praise that inside of your soul why don't you begin to let it out come on understand you're blessed today you're blessed why don't you celebrate the fact that you are blessed come on let the sound of your praise let the sound of your hope is a blessing ReSound in this house hello come on even when it seems hopeless even when it seems dark even when you're mourning even when you're poor in spirit even when it seems you've let God down you have an opus you have a song see let everything that have breath trust the Lord enough today to praise him with everything you have in your being for just a few moments come on let's begin to let the Opus of our blessed life let that be the sound in this room you are blessed you are blessed you are blessed come on remove the scales from your eyes and look at the fact you're still breathing you're still here in the house of God today you are blessed let everything that has breath praise the Lord come on Hallelujah Jesus come on if God's ever done anything for you today if there were times as you reflect back over your life that you shouldn't be here that you shouldn't be breathing you've got an opus because you're living a blessed life if you look over your life and the doctor said you know what there's no hope there's no chance you're going to have to make arrangements can I tell you again today you're blessed let the sound of your office let it reach Heaven's ears today as a beautiful Melody Lord God you are great oh Lord somebody's battling in their mind right now I feel it in the Holy Ghost somebody's battling in such a mind that says I'm feeling I have failed I have fallen I have made too many mistakes but you have a blessed life is there anything too hard for the Lord is there anyone too far gone thankful that a god looked down so many years ago and said I know you have fallen and I know you've made other decisions but he looked down on where I was broken hurting had reminded me that I am blessed I am blessed I am blessed hear it today it doesn't matter what you've done and it doesn't matter if you've done everything right you are blessed come on is there anybody that shouldn't be standing in this room today feeling the heaviness of the presence of God come on would you raise your hand as a testimony right now Lord God I know every blessing I know every opportunity is from you I don't deserve it I don't deserve it Hallelujah God you are great come on that's it Now's the Time to respond to the deep deep presence the heavy presence of God in this room come on renew your trust today renew your trust in the blessings of God Hallelujah Jesus
