little bit louder for jesus i feel his presence in this house tonight come on lift your voice up for another moment god we bless the wonderful name of jesus somebody shout hallelujah come on if god be for us [Applause] if god be for us phrase before that says what do you have to say about this if god be for us then who can be against us i don't know about you but i've got something to say for a god that chose to die for me to be buried and to be rose again on the third day so that i could feel his presence in this place tonight if god is for me there's nothing else to worry about huh that's right it's just that that simple tonight i'm so thankful to be in the house of the lord so thankful to be in the presence of god and the presence of god's people tonight you can be seated in this place tonight thank you for all the uh the honor that i'm not sure that i deserve but i am here and i will do my best to live up to whatever expectations are set i'll tell you this i'm just going through life i need brother hamer i need a little bit of brother dom's energy how about that huh yeah what about the praise team tonight and the band and the choir leading us before the presence of god i don't you don't take that lightly you walk into this place you feel the power of god and there's people been here for hours and hours and hours before making sure that everything happens in this place and it's been just a great experience all the way up into this point i give honor to your pastoral team to bishop mccool what a privilege and an honor to even stand in a pulpit that he has stood behind and what a pillar of pentecost and i know that you know that but your whole entire team pastor mccool is one of the closest friends to my father and have just been i guess you could say intertwined in my family for years the mccool family has always been one that's been spoken very highly of and my father was always hey if you want to look to something here's some people to look to that are doing it right that are never wavering that are are solid foundational people that you want to make sure that you fellowship with and you you you find yourself in good standings with and pastor nate whitley before i was in marybel before he was in knoxville he would come stay at the house and and my dad pointed out very quickly before i knew brother whitley um i had seen him at a couple camps and different things he was at our house just a few days and we had evangelists come through all the times we would stay at our house i got a lot of trouble with with with some guy named michael maupin i don't know if you know him but he'd come stay you know and him and i we'd we'd get into some trouble he pinned a guy up against the wall playing basketball one time we'd get into all kind of stuff brother whitley it was different you know um and and he he was i would get up and he was already gone i'm like where'd he go you know and i remember second day in my dad stopped me down in the kitchen and said hey you need to pay attention to what he's doing he's disciplined and i began to watch and he was there praying and reading the bible and studying long before anybody was even there to open the doors of the church he got a key was frequently so what he's been doing now for some years that maybe you've experienced he did that even long before he was here and i consider him one of my greatest friends and him and sister ashley are just great great friends of ours and [name redacted] too i think she's here somewhere um i always try to embarrass her but we we love them and then i could not be who i am do what i do without pastor anthony mccool and i think they all deserve a big round of applause he is one of my greatest friends when my name came up for anything whether it be district related or doing anything and people like hey would you mind letting your name run or this happen i said you know whatever whatever you guys want we'll try to serve any way we can but if you get me you get him all right that's the only way this this works i'm not going to do it without him he makes me makes me look good so i really appreciate him and not just what he does for um for us and all that we do as far as organization but just being a friend that has been one for for some time that i've always looked up to i'm going to take you to a familiar passage of scripture here now i'm feeding the 5000 and i'm going to read a good bit of scripture so if you want to remain seated tonight mark chapter 6 and verse number 38 this is the only miracle that's reported recorded in all four of your gospels all four matthew mark luke and john record uh this story of jesus feeding the five thousands it's the only one that they all for some reason i guess it had a great impact on their life that they they all decided to write it down and to record it jesus seeks to separate himself from the crowd but they follow after him and he has compassion on them and he says they're like sheep without a shepherd he said we we we we've got to we've got to give them something we've got to uh we've got to not just minister to him but he decides to feed them and he starts in verse number 38 of mark chapter 6 he said he saith unto them how many loaves do you have go and see and when they knew they had five loaves and two fishes and he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass and they sat down in ranks by the hundreds and by 50s and when they had taken the five loaves and the two fishes he took up to heaven and blessed and break the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before them and the two fishes divided he among them all and they did all eat and were filled and they took up 12 baskets of the fragments and the fishes and they did eat of the loaves were about 5 000 men and straightway he constrained his disciples to get into a ship to go to the other side before unto bethsaida and while he sent away the people and he went had sent them away he departed to a mountain to pray and when even as he came the ship was in the midst of the sea and he alone on the land and he saw them toiling and rowing for the wind was contrary unto them and about the fourth watch of the night he comes unto them walking upon the sea and would have passed them by but when they saw him walking upon the sea they supposed him to be a spirit and they cried out for they all saw him and were very troubled and immediately he talked with them and said unto them be of good cheer it is i be not afraid and he went up into the ship and the wind ceased and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure and wondered for they considered not the miracle of the loaves for their heart was hardened i want to preach to you for just a few moments this evening on there's bread in your boat there's bread in your boat would you just lift your hands up right where you're seated tonight and just ask the lord to speak to you god i thank you for your word i thank you that it's revelatory god but i pray that it would be relevant to every heart tonight god i thank you for every good thing and every perfect thing comes from you it's not by my might or by my power it's not my words of wisdom but it's by your spirit tonight that any good could come from this god i pray that you would anoint my mind and my words god that it would fall on good ground tonight that someone's life would be shifted would be stirred in your power god would manifest itself and do something great that would be undeniable that your presence would be here tonight god let your glory fill this room before we leave here tonight in jesus mighty name we pray could you shout amen come on if you believe the lord's going to do something could you shout amen amen amen amen jesus feeds the 5 000 and and and he could have here uh he could have here just just send send them home he is teaching the disciples that you know they're here in this desert place and it's dry and he says we've been here a while and we need to send these people home if we if we if we don't we're going to have to feed them all right anybody ever been there before you know we're gonna have to send these people home or we're gonna have to feed them you know you can't have a youth event too long or you might have to feed them you know when you get food involved things get more a little more crazy for me it's not a big deal brother sloan i can i can feed about anybody in my way of eating i order a pizza some canned cokes you know we don't even have to have plates we just tear the box apart you know it's not a big deal now if my wife finds out that we're having food it's a whole other thing you got to figure out where the knives and the forks go and all the matching this and all the matching that we're going to blow some balloons up who knows god may come down himself you know it's going to be a big deal you get food involved all of a sudden things change it gets more expensive it's this and that so i could just imagine here jesus is teaching his disciples and you know there's times where preachers get to preach and you realize hey we're gonna have to feed these people if i'm gonna have to you know if we're gonna keep preaching or we're gonna keep having this event it's like that's why we didn't have church all day we let you leave and eat and then we brought you back you know because we kept you here any longer you wouldn't have heard anything that was going on so uh it's it's one of those things it appears to jesus perhaps to the disciples he's not done teaching hey let's feed them so i can finish my sermon you know and so he uh he turns to the disciples he said hey go find some food we're in the middle of the desert we run down to mcdonald's i mean what do we you do we order up so there's no doordash here we're uh we need to just send them home it'd be easier to send them home than to feed them and so he sits them down in groups and he takes a lad's lunch he blesses it he broke it and he multiplied it the bible says and this amazing miracle if we take note of this moment in scripture he did not have to perform it he could have sent him home that was what the disciples wanted to do and let's just send them home you've you've ministered to them they've followed us out here they've inconvenienced us just send them home you've given them what they want they're the sheep without a shepherd you let them we don't have to feed them but jesus said hey just just go see what you can find so he could have just just went on about his business he didn't have anything else to say the bible says he didn't continue his message he simply wanted to bless the people and let them see the goodness of god he simply wanted to bless them he simply wanted to let them see that there's more than just what i have to say i'm going to give you something they depart and they then board a boat and they go across over the other side of the sea and they encounter a storm anybody ever been in a storm huh maybe maybe not just a physical storm but something spiritual maybe some of you sitting in this room tonight are going through something in this very moment you've got something troubling your mind and your heart and there's something that's really even keeping you from being able to participate in everything going on in the service tonight because there's something underlying that you're so worried about that is toiling with your mind that you're trying to figure out what's the solution to this and and so they they find themselves in a storm and and and jesus comes walking on the water why same reason he fed the 5 000 because he can he didn't have to but he can right so he he comes walking on the water and he's and and want to encourage somebody tonight i know it's simple but he's always on top of what's troubling you huh he's always able the storm is just a stepping stone for whatever you've got going on in your life that he wants to show you who he is you know it's probably even easier for jesus to walk on some waves than the calm water you know it's probably like an elliptical you know he kind of comes just rolling up in there you know it's kind of like a you know but here comes jesus however you want to look at it i got a weird mind but however you want to look at it he comes shows up right there and they think hey this is a spirit let's call out to him he said he would have passed them by so jesus boards the boat however you want to look at my mind i think he just you know kind of bounces up the water comes behind him he's like what's the issue boys huh you know what's going on what's what's troubling you you know it's it's he he calms the storm just at the mention of his words he says why are you afraid and he takes us here he says have you not considered the bread huh i performed a miracle just moments ago maybe even less than 24 hours ago that i didn't even have to perform if i would have took your advice i could have just sent 5 000 people home but i did it not just for the goodness of those people but to prove who i am so i've come to ask you tonight very simple but have you forgotten yesterday's miracle huh have you in the midst of today forgotten what god did yesterday say they most likely had all the leftovers in the boat the fragments were there and i've come to ask somebody tonight in the midst of a storm or in the midst of your day not knowing what tomorrow holds have you already forgotten what he did last week do we as a church do we as a people of god keep record of the goodness of god we keep record of everything else she did this he said that huh it's archived all over social media you know she's posted this he posted that i can't believe they did me wrong some of you are still holding on to things that people did to you 15 20 30 years ago you can't even sit on the same side of the church with them whatever's going on you've quit jobs you've done all kinds of things because we can keep record of wrong but how many of us tonight have kept record of a moment back somewhere where god turned your life around and if it hadn't been for the grace and the mercy of god you were sick and you were bound and you were on drugs and your marriage was on the but god showed said hey i'm gonna touch him i'm going to heal him even though he may not even be serving me i'm going to pull him out of the muck in the mire because i love him i'm going to die for him brother don before i even know that he'll choose to serve me there's some bread in yesterday that he wants you to consider today can you keep record of the goodness of god fishermen say that one of the best thing to eat when you get seasick is dry bread everything they needed right there at that moment was in the boat i know there's a storm but there's a solution to shut down fear and it's sometimes just a recollection of what happened yesterday when i look back over my life i don't know about y'all but you can travel i was in texas last week i was here there everywhere this summer at one point in 22 days we'd done 27 services and i enjoy to turn around and sometimes and watch people worship i enjoy to watch how people before i get up and preach or before somebody gets something preached how they react some churches some groups some gatherings they don't connect until you go low into worship some of them they connect when you start praying playing that shout be unless you play that shout beat they ain't gonna move you know but ultimately lyrics connect people and you know what lyrics will get from the front row to the back row moving huh if it had not been when i look back over my life when i think of all the things that he's done i can surely say that i would get up get up get up huh all of it it's all about the mercy of god that brought you out of something when you start singing those songs sometimes we can just be singing hallelujah i got a song and all those things but when you start recollecting when you start taking people's mind back to that moment that i would be nobody i would be a drug addict i would be a mess i would be in all sorts if it had not been for the goodness and the mercy of god when you start recollecting the bread in the boat the yesterday's miracles the goodness of god all of a sudden somebody stands up on their feet somebody begins to shout somebody begins to praise god because god's been good to me thank you for reminding me choir thank you for bringing it back to my mind of the goodness of god that's what it's all about he brought me out of darkness he bro he healed my body he touched my family there's bread in your boat you know i'll tell you this tonight if god never gave us this book huh if i didn't know if i didn't know that daniel came out of the lions then if i didn't know that david killed goliath if i didn't have all the stories to recollect of the goodness of god if god was if he did it for them and do it for me all the promises are yes and amen all the great things that we can recollect and say this builds my faith when i read his word after all it is the bread of life we understand when we begin to take of this bread i i can i can eat of this the promise that god did it for them but ultimately if he never if i never picked this book up if i never once turned another page i've got my own stories of his goodness there's enough stories in this room that we ought to be able to say oh god's been there's enough generations within this church to say hey forget the cloud of witnesses we got here we're surpassed tonight we're surrounded tonight young folks with folks that are proving the goodness of god the consistency of consecration in church attendance and say hey this is the place to be this is the thing to do i'm going to worship why because it works it's proved itself just in the collection of the stories within these very walls i've got my own book of miracles i've got my own book of god's goodness mark 8 and verse number 1. now we find this story and this gets very confusing and some people read this and they're like man he just told this story twice but mark 8 in those days the multitude was very great and had nothing to eat and jesus calls his disciples unto them and said unto them this is mark 8 and verse number 1. i have compassion on the multitude because they've now been with me three days and they have nothing to eat and if i send them away fasting to their own houses they will faint by the way for divers of them came from far and his disciples answered him from whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness and he asked them how many loaves have ye they said seven and he commanded the people to sit down on the ground and he took the seven loaves and gave thanks and break it gave his disciples and sat down before them and they did sit them before the people and they had a few small fish it sounds like the same story and he blessed and commanded them to sit down before them and so they did eat and they were filled and they took up the broken meat and the left seven baskets so we see almost the same thing it's almost like hey this we know now he can do this because he we we've seen him do it before he's he's feeding now not five thousand but the bible says he's feeding uh he's feeding the four thousand here and and and we see jesus has a reason he says if they don't if we don't feed them they're gonna faint they've got they've been with me three days it's too far if i don't give them something to keep their body charged they're not gonna make it back to their home so he has a reason to perform this miracle these people they've been following me and they need to eat and so he's got seven loaves of bread the four thousand it's just interesting to me because he has more loaves but less people less leftovers seven baskets so this becomes interesting more bread less people less leftovers which means they were hungrier people huh smaller number greater hunger they've been following jesus for a while and i can i can attest to this but when you've been following longer you hunger for him more huh this teaches us it's not about the amount of people or the size of church that determines the move of god or the miracles of god it's how hungry people are i give me a room with 10 people that are hungry for a move of god over a room of 5 000 to just are here to go through the motions huh huh i've been there before well i was just in a conference a few weeks ago there's two or three thousand people there a multi-campus what they would consider a mega church large in number but not going to give not not going to put many people in heaven because you can't feel nothing there huh it's not about the number it's about the hunger he that hunger and thirst after righteousness they shall be filled i'm here tonight to tell you if you're hungry for god god will do something in your life we we we've got we're gonna have good church every sunday if everybody comes hungry we're gonna have a move of god every sunday night if we come and we thirst after the things of god god's here tonight for somebody that's hungry the bottom line is you can have a churro you can have a move of god no matter the size a mission work or a mega church if somebody's hungry i've seen a lot of a lot of this god's not just about numbers he's about the number that are hungry for a move of god does anybody come hungry tonight to be changed because i believe god wants to do something in this place before we leave here tonight i've not come just to hang out i've come hungry young person i've not come just to see if i can get that girl's attention or that boy's attention huh i've come to be changed in the presence of god if you're hungry you won't forget about the bread so verse number nine let's keep reading the story he says and they had left uh and they had eaten there were about four thousand they sent them away and straightway they entered into a ship it's like deja vu i guess when you feed thousands of people you go get on a boat and he came into the parts of the dalmat wherever that is and the pharisees came forth and began to question with him seeking of him a sign from heaven tempting him and he sighed deeply in his spirit and said why does this generation seek after a sign verily i say unto you there shall no sign be given unto this generation and he left them entering to the ship again departing to the other side now the disciples had forgotten to take bread neither had they in the ship with them but one loaf and he charged them saying take heed beware of the leaven of the pharisees and the leaven of herod and they reasoned among themselves it is because we have no bread and when jesus knew it he said to them why reason you because you have no bread what do you not get why do you not understand we've tried this once it's just like perceive you not what do you not get neither understand have your heart heart has your heart hardened again or we do do you do not get what we just played out i gave you a whole other chance having eyes yet you can't see having ears but you can't hear how do you not remember when i broke now he's going to bring it he's going to recollect because god's keeping record whether we remember or not god says hey do you not remember that i broke five loaves among 5 000 how many basketfuls did you take up they said unto him twelve he said well seven among four thousand how many baskets of fool did you take up he said seven he said unto them how is it that you don't get it huh what is it that you don't understand i'm fearful that we have people that are attending church that are walking around fearful frustrated anxious looking for a move of god on a monday morning and god's saying what is it that you don't understand huh where where where are the loaves where's the bread where where's what you got sunday night because he said the reason jesus says how many did i give you twelve seven let's keep record of what i left over for you not what i did for the five thousand not what i do we don't even have to consider that but i gave you a basket full and you showed up with one loaf i give you a basketball and you show up with a happy meal huh we've got to be aware of this because this is this is plaguing our generation especially but god will leave a week's worth and we only worry about today huh god will do a great thing tonight but we can only take it into money but monday but we start struggling on tuesday huh or even this we're so worried about ourselves we only take enough to feed us not our friends not our co-workers not our loved ones we can't win our family because we're just a one loaf people we just take what we need we're not worried about anybody else huh well i i have trouble winning anybody yeah you got to take the whole basket with you [Applause] he says what is it that you don't get i'm doing something for you today for tomorrow i'm giving you what you need tonight for wednesday there's going to be somebody that asks you to pray for them and you're going to need the power of god to be able to say in the name of jesus huh i'll tell you this we'll hit on this and i hear the term mental health mentioned more than ever before people are anxious worried suicide rates are through the roof huh people just got one loaf huh they've turned into a victim huh well they've got a basket full they've been blessed with a hundredfold they get to sing they got the promotion they got the new car huh they got a tesla huh they got all the nice stuff but i'm just sitting over here you know just trying to make it huh i love him huh but don't you see it hey why are you anxious why are you troubled because you just held on to this one thing when all the while god had a move for you this morning god had a move for you tonight but you didn't pick it up you left sitting on the boat what was supposed to get you through the month huh it's just it's so simple and jesus says hey i left you 12 loaves i left you seven loaves and i don't care what the storm had to say i don't care what today has the whole but i gave you what you needed but you just didn't pick it up because ultimately when you're not hungry you forget but there'll come a moment when all of a sudden things knock on your door that you never expected to come this week huh and you got to call pastor and see if he can bring some loaves over you got to call pastor and see if he can pray over you you got to call pastor and say hey can you come bring what i left sunday night and should have picked up huh hey i got somebody asking some questions about some doctrine we sure couldn't answer them huh we got to call and see a pastor can teach them a bible study because we don't have enough bread in our vessel to speak it there's got to be bread in your boat there's got to be a voice within your vessel after all that's what the holy ghost has become he said you forgot the bread what in the world you doing with one loaf that ain't going to feed all of you he said you just put one loaf in the boat i see people like this all the time god's done all this for you just got one loaf you've heard the same messages but you just got one loaf more worried about lunch plans than god's plan huh just over and over again have you forgotten what god has done for you if you've gotten forgotten what god brought you out of we we we we we i just wish maybe for just a moment if we could lift up our hands in this place and just say god i thank you for everything you've done in my life before we move on in this sermon could you just reach back into yesterday's archives of the goodness of god and the um the the moves of god on your life and just say out loud say god i thank you god i thank you i don't want to be ungrateful god i i'm so thankful for what you did yesterday and i can't forget yesterday's miracles come on could we just lift up the lord just a little bit louder in this room tonight i know there's not a beating drum and i know there's not a choir singing but could you just give god a praise from your heart for a moment that's just your song it says god i thank you for your goodness and your mercy god lord i thank you lord i thank you lord i thank you they're there in his very presence and he reminds them of what they should have in their hands he reminds them of what they left in the boat i can't help but looking out i ask students all the time i'm saying hey is that is that what you think god's worthy of huh i know it's not popular and i'm not their favorite person all the time you know i can't help but think of the ten lepers that came to jesus they were all healed but one came back what was jesus's question it's kind of like he did with the the hey where's the rest of the bread where are the nine the one returns because jesus is keeping record of the miracle that he just worked of who's going to return and give thanks but here's the powerful concept within that story i guarantee you brother hamer that when those those lepers walked away and they walked away with haste to go see a family member that they ain't seen in years because they were a castaway they had to live outside the streets they they couldn't come in they maybe went to see a child that was born huh when they got leprosy and they've never they've never held that child they ran to the priest to be able to get back and ultimately those people had so much gratitude and thankfulness for what jesus had just done for them they went back and the bottom line is it's not that they were unthankful he says where the nine at it was just not expressed so jesus has come in tonight into this room and he's taking attendance of those that return praise he's taking attendance of those that when we begin to sing of the goodness of god and say hey lord i thank you for what you've done in my life but ultimately unexpressed gratitude is unthankfulness if it's unexpressed it's unknown you say i love you well i don't know if you love me unless you tell me huh if it's unexpressed it's unknown that's why when god gave you the gift of the holy ghost he gave you an evidence been speaking in other tongues because he wanted to give you an outward expression of an inward feeling if there's no outward expression there's probably not an inward feeling and you've fooled yourself into thinking that you have something that you don't there's always going to be an outward evidence when he gives a promise there's a rainbow when he gives a promise there's an evidence of the fire and the pillar when he gives a promise there's an ark of the covenant when he gives a promise there's always going to be a sign and he said you've got some bread i just need you to respond to my goodness and tell me hey thank you for yesterday's miracle thank you for healing my body thank you well he hasn't done nothing today he did yesterday he hadn't really felt nothing today he did it years ago praise him no matter what he looks like no matter if you feel anything right now or not god's been good to me oh i praise him for what he's done he says he says i want you to count your blessings counts your blessings and you can find more than one huh god is asking somebody now you just you don't have but just one loaf when i think of the goodness of jesus and all he's done for me i've got to praise him he said stir up the gift within you you know what i've found that people aren't willing to stir up the gift he'll stir it up for him huh he'll stir up the gift within you if you won't stir up the gift he'll put you in a storm to remind you of the gift he gave you huh if you don't pick up the bread stir up the gift huh stir up the gift within you it's it's a it's a powerful thing when we begin to look it's i think back to the story of a man named yuza that david was trying to transport the ark and they put it on a cart off to say he was just trying to brother anthony's trying to do it in kind of a user-friendly way huh yuza tries to put it no it's a dad joke the um he tries to put it on an ark and the bible says that that ark began to shake a lot like that boat in the storm that art began to shake and user reaches up and tries to stabilize what god is trying to shake and the bible says that yous had died that day in the presence of god it's a very serious thing when we when god starts stirring and god starts rocking the boat and god starts doing some things when we just try to stabilize things rather than seeking hey what's the reason for this storm what did god do yesterday that he's trying to remind me of today and oftentimes we just want to stabilize the situation rather than look at what god's doing hey can i just get to the end of the week and me and my family and nobody gets sick and nothing go bad and all the checks balances and everything but ultimately i've got to look at what's happening and sometimes god stirs some things in my life so that i could see a little bit clearer what god is doing in my life you can live on what's left you don't have to leave the bread on the boat to show up with what he did yesterday it's powerful here what jesus begins to teach he says you left the bread in the boat so here's what i need to tell you when you forget what god's done for you don't be deceived by the leaven of the pharisees he says don't be deceived by the leaven of herod in the religions of our day and the culture that we live in christianity has become something that's very very kosher very comfortable you can comfortably serve god in christianity in the united states it doesn't cost much just to attend the church you've got to be beware now because when you don't bring what god did for you yesterday it'll be much easier young person to fall for the sweet bread of the world it'll be much easier to listen to the professor it'll be much easier to listen to a new group of friends that says hey that don't matter huh you don't have to do that you don't have to go to every service my lord you know you can you you can get by and all of a sudden he says you better beware when you don't pick up yesterday's promises you better beware when you become unthankful for what god did yesterday that all of a sudden the adversary just any and everybody will walk in at that moment say hey why don't you try this why don't you download that why don't you taste a little bit of this and see how it feels all of a sudden you you don't get what you need tonight and the devil shows up in the morning and he's packed a lunch all of a sudden bitterness and jealousy hatred and all of a sudden it becomes the church's fault huh it's just somebody in the churches somebody's and all of a sudden the devil has deceived you with something that just seems a little bit sweeter than the bread you were supposed to have for today i can't help but look at the powerful passage of scripture that we take our name here as the church as being pentecostals that the book of the book of acts takes us to the beginning it's it's it's a power of acts 2 and verse number 1. you've heard it it says when the day of pentecost was fully come i want everybody to say that with me fully come fully come so we understand we understand that that that term there is is a powerful term because the day of pentecost had come many other times i understand you probably know this or have heard this you have you you hear amazing preachers but but all preaching all the time but i want to just reiterate this this word for you so you understand tonight just a little bit clear what the breaking of bread this the the painting of the picture in the scriptures of what he's trying to say he says he said the day of pentecost had fully come because the day of pentecost had come over and over and over again it was just a feast day for god's people and actually if you rewind back in the old testament it used to be called a feast of chaviot and that's why we call it pentecost because nobody wants to say chaviot no but in exodus 32 they're celebrating the feast of chaviot which is 50 days after passover just like the day of pentecost and they're celebrating this feast of shaviat and it's down at that time where the party gets a little sideways and it loses its meaning and a man named moses comes down from the mountain with two tablets of stone and he sees that that feast day has turned into something that is serving other gods and he gets frustrated and he breaks those two tablets of stone that day he stands at the gate a few scriptures later and says hey who's on the lord's side and he says take every man and sword go to every gate and it says that day the bottom part of exodus 32 you go read it tonight he says about 3 000 souls died that day by the sword so you're telling me that on the feast day in exodus 32 on the day of pentecost the law was given huh the law was given and from that moment forward every time the day came of what we would call the day of pentecost they would come out just as moses did waving two loaves of bread to symbolize the word that was given the law that was ultimately broken before we ever got it because man couldn't keep it huh that's why the law fulfilled the second time it was given was put in the ark because ultimately he was the law fulfilled but it was broken before we ever got it because man could never keep it until the holy ghost come and got inside of us so the day of pentecost had come multiple times but ultimately in acts chapter 2 and verse number 1 he says and the day of pentecost was fully come they were all in one accord and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the house where they were sitting and it appeared unto them cloven tongues liked as a fire and it set upon each of them and they were filled with the holy ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance powerful birth of the church you don't get a better move of god you don't get any better bread you don't get a better miracle than acts 2. it fully explains the scripture the spirit killeth i mean the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life right because how many souls were added that day about 3 000 souls the same number that was killed on the day that the law was given so what the law kills the spirit will resurrect so he's painting a picture the entire time we're thankful that the day of pentecost came and i'm able to live in a dispensation of grace where i've got the holy ghost huh well we understand so it had fully come and so we see here and that's how the chapter starts like this huh and the day of pentecost was fully come it's that same feast day so it begins with the waving of bread well look at acts 2 and 46 how does the chapter end and they continued just like they did in the beginning in one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house huh from house to house what were they doing it would say well in the first part of this chapter we got a move of god in the first part of this chapter we had a miraculous move that just birthed something but they continued in one accord and just saying hey don't you forget what happened yesterday don't you forget what took place last night don't you forget you say hey how do i encourage you hey i'm gonna break bread hey catch this right here hey don't you forget what happens tonight i need you to hold on to yesterday's miracle i don't need you to forget about that we're pentecostal and that we've experienced the move of god tonight and you need to take this with you how do you make sure that we remember that i got to break the bread tonight i got to come forth and not just worship god but i got to come tonight and i've got to break bread i got to worship with my brothers and my sisters i got to hear from the word of the lord and i got to take something with me tonight you say hey not every night not every day i'm gonna wake up and feel a mighty russian wind but i got yesterday's miracles to live on how do we continue being pentecostal apostolic in a wicked world how do i live for god when everything's falling apart how do i be apostolic in a youth group in a world that's just fallen it seems like every day becomes more and more wicked hey take some bread with you hey i was making sure brother huff could catch huh stand your feet i'm almost done musicians don't run you've got a couple seconds i've got bread in my boat from the outpouring of pentecost to be able to stand in his presence today and say hey god's going to touch you god's got something for you you say how can you tell me that you don't even know what i'm going through because i know he's the same god of abraham he's the same god of isaac he's the same god of jacob he's the same god who did it for my grandfather and my great-grandfather and my dad and my mom he's the same god that rose my little sister from the dead when they brought her up later on the altar at two years old as blue as could be and they pronounced her dad the same god that rose her up on that altar on on hog mountain road there's the same god that can move right here on pleasant ridge and bring you up out of any situation bring you out of the muck and out of the mire he's done it for too many you've come too late to tell me that god can't touch you tonight you've come too late i've watched bones go back in arms i've watched god raise people up i've watched cancer and tumors go away you've come too late it don't matter if it's just a water of baptism that you need to experience tonight which is just your obedience or you need the undeniable unexplainable miraculous move of god in your life it can happen oh i can feel a little bit of the doubt of the devil but it can happen in this place tonight today has been profitable because there will be leftovers i i want to ask somebody in this place tonight ii timothy 3 15 says this and and from a child they've known the holy scriptures which they were able to make wise unto salvation through faith which is in christ jesus all scripture is given by inspiration of god is profitable for doctrine and reproof of correction and instruction in righteousness when god gave us his word when god gave us the revelation of the name of jesus when god filled you as a vessel with the promise of the holy ghost has it been profitable has it been profitable not just to you obviously it's been profitable to me where would i be without the goods but i'm talking about from a kingdom exchange because god took something he took something of great value and exchanged it for something of greater value he says for god so loved the world that he gave his only son and said i'll give my only son for you i'll give my only son for you and my question tonight is god did what he did but has the has it been profitable to the kingdom of god what's god's return we got many business people in here tonight when you look at what god did does he ever look down and think man there's a lot of bread still left in the boat there's a lot of days there's a lot of breath that i gave to that person today that won't really use for my kingdom huh i know that's heavy i know that's not easy to swallow but ultimately when it's all said and done when all your goals are achieved when you've checked off your bucket list so to say what's the kingdom of god look like huh what's the kingdom of god look like young person when you have your diploma in your hand i hope you feel good if you've taken four years off of serving god because you'll never make enough money it'll be equivalent to the bread you'll never close enough situation you'll net you'll never be able make all the money in the world but if you're not making a difference you'll you'll lay your head down on the pillow at night i wonder what am i doing with my life and it'll feel like a storm it'll be frustrating don't take time off from god end up in a relationship and marry the wrong person young person huh come on you don't have time there's not a moment where we can just say pause and i'm just going to see how this goes is it profitable that god's put his presence on you or could he could he just stayed in the box of the old testament huh is it profitable tonight that god would say hey i'm going to pour out my spirit upon them i i feel very strongly tonight to close this way and i i don't normally do this i don't consider i don't consider myself and somebody that's gifted in working in faith or prophesying or anything like that and i don't want to scare the hound out of pastor anthony tonight and saying this but i believe that there's a miracle in this room tonight you say oh well i've heard that before i truly believe if somebody's hungry it's for anybody that wants it you know when he fed the five thousands it's recorded in all four gospels because it took place in galilee and it it involved only jews but when he fed the 4000 he was near decapolis and involved all gentiles he said why do you perform the miracle again not to just remind the disciples but to teach them that it's not just for you and your people but it's for anybody that's walked in this place tonight i don't know no matter what you've done no matter how far you feel away from god you haven't done enough wrong you haven't made enough bad decisions you've not sinned big enough in your mind no matter what the devil's whispering your ear right now says hey you can't go up around the front you couldn't dare lift your hands no there are no lines in the laws of mercy yeah there's lines in the law of gravity there's lines in the law of every other law that's on our earth but there's no lines in the laws of mercy you can you can literally walk in this place and you last night drove a nail into his hand and guess what right now he's reaching that same hand that you drove a nail through and saying hey come unto me all that are heavy and burdened i will give you rest because his mercy i want to ask somebody tonight as we bow our heads in this place and they prepare to sing here in just a moment i don't have maybe the words to speak to your problem tonight i don't know really what to say to your storm but i could hand you a loaf of bread tonight and tell you i know god's faithful and i know he's good i know he's never failed me and i know if he's got me in the midst of something it's cause he's trying to teach me something i wonder if there's somebody that'd step out and come around this front tonight that i could just tell you hey god god wants you to reach back into yesterday to feel what he needs to give you tonight god wants to well god wants you to reach back to that moment where you stood here and you were nervous and you didn't know what to do but all of a sudden you begin to feel overwhelmed from your feet to the top of your head and you begin to speak with another tongue i wish you could reach back to the moment when god brought you out of darkness sir i don't know if you've got a sickness in your body tonight it's ma'am i don't know what's troubling you but i could hand you some word tonight that if god is for you nobody no thing no sickness no trouble can stand against it in the name of jesus there's victory in this house tonight in the name of jesus anything can happen in this place tonight come on i wish you lift your hands but most of all lift your voice and say god i want what you have for me tonight god i want what you have for me tonight [Music] holy god of heaven rest on us tonight god rest on us tonight [Music] young person you can make it young person you can make your mind up tonight say god i believe god i believe in what the word says and i'm going to carry it with me i'm going to carry it with me come on hold on to that word tonight come on hold on to that calling hold on to that promise hold on to what god told you years ago your prodigal's coming home god's been too good god's done too much for us to think anything otherwise god's never going to fail you ko yeah come on would you find somebody to pray with you pray with come on break bread tonight come on be the pentecostal church break bread pray for your friends tonight pray for your brother pray for your sister god i want to be with you and have us be the lord and i believe
