Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Faith 101

  • Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
  • By faith the elders obtained a good report, and the worlds were framed by the word of God.
  • Without faith it is impossible to please God; whoever comes to him must believe that he rewards those who diligently seek him.
  • Like the championship coach who opened camp with “this is a football”, believers never graduate past the fundamentals of faith.

Scriptures: Hebrews 11:1-6

Faith Shown, Not Only Said

  • Jesus commands rejoicing now over a reward in heaven that has not yet been seen.
  • The shield of faith is a protective barrier able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
  • Faith precipitates obedience; love — for God, and for his wife Kelly in the preacher’s own example — must be shown and spoken, not only pointed at.
  • We are saved by grace through faith, and not by works of righteousness done before salvation; the works of the redeemed follow faith.
  • Faith sanctifies and overcomes the world; the saints overcame the accuser by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Scriptures: Matthew 5:12; Ephesians 6:16; Romans 16:26; Ephesians 2:8; Matthew 24:13; 1 John 5:4; Revelation 12:10-11

Faith That Goes to Egypt

  • Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God; God has dealt to every person a measure of faith, and mustard-seed faith is enough.
  • Joseph obeyed the angel’s warning in a dream and fled with the young child and his mother into Egypt, the old house of bondage.
  • God made the very place of oppression a land of refuge, and called his son out of Egypt.
  • What the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good; the preacher invites the church to get up and go home, because the thing sent to take your life will not harm you.

Scriptures: Romans 10:17; Matthew 2:13; Genesis 50:20; Hosea 11:1

keep that same Spirit as you make your way back to your seats and you can be seated across this house and I want to welcome each and every one of you to First Apostolic Church of Knoxville here on this Sunday morning those of you in the house those of you tuning in online those of you who may join us on the Fox 43 news station on Sunday morning on our live television broadcast we welcome you the same let me reiterate just for a moment Pastor Whitley's remarks earlier I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every chaperon to every uh parent and all of our students at project 180 we had a just a tremendous week at Strong Tower Youth Camp uh [name redacted] and [name redacted] received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and let me just take a second to brag on all of our students our our students they pack the front uh they worship every moment there's um not having to go out into the lobby or you know trying to encourage them make sure yall are up front but they're there early uh just leading in so many different capacities and I I honor them and I started thinking about it you know many of them you you start looking at their parents and they do the same thing and you see their grandparents and their aunts and their uncles they do the same thing and I think there's a direct correlation uh between uh raising a child in the way they should go and when they're old they will not depart and um it's just so encouraging to see them step up now in this other generation uh just doing so many things one of the young ladies Evie was telling me she was excited about Callaway being in her Sunday school class and I was so excited about about that and it just it brings things around full circle and and after the excitement I start got to to think make man I hope he's good in that Sunday School classes I and I say all that to say this as I brag on everybody and all of your students pray for that next Generation coming forward that's down there in the U in the toddle house Ridge kids right now cuz I know one one young man that needs it and uh with that being said um preachers and ministers and everybody be we we got to be real cautious what we say from the podium and I was down in the Altar and uh they the minister started asking who's had the who's received the Holy Ghost this week and you know several raised their hands and it's so great and they said who's who's had the Holy Ghost for five years and wow so many raised their hand and I'm like oh yeah right here he went to 10 years still a good amount you know you're there you know worshiping with the young people setting a good example right here that's me 15 years kind of more and more difficult to find somebody and they finally said 20 years and I looked around and I was the only only one so just be real careful what we what we say and what we question I felt pretty isolated in that moment and I started to think of when I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost it wasn't at a camp meeting or a conference or an evangelist coming through town for a Revival and all of those things are good and I don't denigrate them but I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in children's church in Kids Quest and you know people trade stories of yeah this yeah when I got the Holy Ghost I'll never forget the message and you have these just Dynamic sermon titles or you know this uh Pastor or this this preacher that is known Across the Nation or maybe God filled you with the Holy Ghost in This extemporaneous moment in a time in all these stories and I got the Holy Ghost in children's church which is great and as we trade stories do you know who was preaching when I got the Holy Ghost I think it was a clown so um that might explain a lot to you uh this morning but with that being said I I thank God as I mentioned for every different department every different Ministry and we get to reap the the benefits and the Harvest if you will of everything that takes place down with our kids quests and our rich kids and all of that if you have your Bibles with you go ahead and turn to the book of Hebrews chap 11 and we're going to read verses 1 through 6 Hebrews 11 1- 6 now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of Things Not Seen for by it the elders obtained a good report through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God I like that statement right there the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear and then we see this illusion back to the Old Testament Covenant Promise by faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain which he obtained witness that he was righteous God testifying of his notice this word gifts and by it being dead yet speaketh by faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death and was not found because God had translated him for before his translation he had a testimony that he pleased God verse six but without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him and we're going to break these words down throughout the duration of the sermon this morning but I want to speak to you on this topic simply the title Faith 101 Faith 101 and we've uh prayed this morning already so we're going to just step right into it as we talk about the foundational aspects of that word faith this essential uh belief system that is in so ingal in our Salvation I'm reminded of a story of Vince Lombardi the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers who walked into training camp and stood before 36 professional athletes who just months prior had watched their Championship dreams just slip through their fingers it was the summer of 1961 and Vince Lombardi started the camp holding something that needed no explanation the National Football League The Genesis really of the national foot football league this now Hall of Fame football coach of this storied franchise the Green Bay Packers who a season before had almost won the championship trophy at the very highest level of the sport he opened up that summer training camp in 1961 and said gentlemen this is a football in five words he communic at his point if you want to be successful we're going to have to remember the basics and make sure that we're executing the fundamentals he said you never graduate past the basics yes you build on them but you never move past them and his Focus continued throughout the entire Camp each player reviewed and remember the fundamentals of their position how to defend and how to tackle how to catch and throw how to stand and run and ultimately how to think 6 months later the same group of men gathered together to hear another one of Vince Lombardi's speeches but this time it was to celebrate their NFL championship and their 37 to0 victory over the New York Giants and by remembering the fundamentals they had become the best in the league at the task everyone took for granted and I believe this morning the fundamentals of Faith offer us this same opportunity as this is a term we sing about as this is a term that we preach about as this is the term that comes up in a lot of our conversations and when we pray for something we use that word quite a bit name Faith but what does it actually mean and many of us could give a a a a great definition of what faith is and that's fantastic and that's why we're looking at the foundational aspects of it because when we talk about it Define what it is aspire to have more of it put it into action than it just continues to build it for the current circumstance that we Faith Hebrews 11:1 provides a commonly referenced scriptural definition of Faith however it can be difficult to fully understand the ideas of this definition faith can be quite complex perhaps the following would provide a simpler definition faith is accepting as true what God has said in his word I like that pretty good if that's not too pragmatic for you if that's not too revelatory uh for you it's believing that what is written down in his word is truth if Faith were a concrete entity it would be much easier to potentially isolate and Define but faith is something one cannot see or touch in a age of Doubt where many question and reject the absolutes of yesterday it's vital for our spiritual existence our spiritual health our spiritual sustainability if you will not only to be aware of the viability of Faith but also to possess it not just to talk about it not just to preach about it not just to sing about it but live by it if one does not have faith then one cannot fully understand its reality that's right now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen what faith is not faith is not a positive mental attitude it may involve a positive mental attitude but faith is much more than that it's the evidence of things that are not able to be visible since evidence and substance are similar we can explain the phrase the evidence of things not seen in a way similar to the phrase the substance of things that we are hoping for the outcome of things that we desire and hope for in alignment with God's will on our lives when a person believes the substance or what he sees with the eyes of faith become the evidence or proof of the object of faith when a person has Faith he or she not only envisions his answer but they begin to Rejoice over the answer even though it's not visible in the current this rejoicing is similar to what Jesus commanded in Matthew 5:12 he said rejoice and be exceedingly glad not just Rejoice but be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in heaven no you're not to Heaven yet no you haven't seen it in reality yet but Jesus said rejoice in the current because if you will stay faithful and if you will keep your relationship with me I have a reward for you I have an eternal reward reward for you so rejoice in the current no matter what the current circumstance faces you Jesus told the disciples to Rejoice over something they had not yet experienced something still in the future and when faith is authentic there can be rejoicing over something that is still in the future over an outcome that has not even happened this rejoicing is the evidence of things not seen and man you're like thanks I I got it I I know that I've been going to church for a long time but let's not fall into the Trap as those NFL athletes let's remember the foundational aspects of faith and when I think about faith in my life yes I've heard it yes I sing about it yes I talk about it but am I applying it to what I'm currently facing are my emotions affected by the circumstance or the situation that I'm going through I can get up and preach to you about it I can get behind the keyboard and sing to you about it I can give you a great Bible study on it but am I living by it that's the question each one of us must ask ourself and our faith is built by talking about it by hearing about it in indeed by singing about it by by revisiting and talking about the foundational aspects of faith it begins to build inside of us and then when we all come together as we are this morning when we all assemble ourselves together that's why there's so much power in the testimony of another individual who we know and have an intimate relationship to the extent that we know what they are going through we know that there needing healing in their body or they know that they're needing provision in a situation or we know that they're at the end of the road and they're needing God to clear a path when there is no path but yet when we see them worship and we see them rejoice and we see them praise even during this it builds our faith that's why you see some of these saints of God who come up here and have given a been given a negative doctor's report yet they still lift their hands and cry out and say thanks Lord I know my answer and my healing hasn't come yet but I'm rejoicing over something that I believe is going to happen or I'm praising him for a healing that hasn't even taken place yet or it'll cause right it'll cause you to build forms that's right for steps at 123 West Columbia when Bishop says we didn't have two nickels to rub together and had to get together after the church service and put all their money in to make sure the electricity was paid for the week and they needed steps to get up into the auditorium but they didn't have money to to build steps or money to get concrete for the steps and they would even pull nail old Nails out of uh other places in the building to be used to build forms and prayed and all of the sudden a concrete truck came up and it went across the street yes but then after it got done across the street they came over and asked does anyone need concrete and that concrete truck came over and began to fill those forms and it was just the right amount we've got to talk about the foundational aspects of Faith there's probably not a one of us even our young adults and students who don't have the money right now if we wanted to put some steps and build some forms for steps we could probably all do something to get steps before the night was over but we've got to have that foundational aspect of faith and remember where we came from and not diminish the small things but remember the small things because we wouldn't have a thing we wouldn't be where we are at without the faith of a previous generation and we talk about that faith in the current cuz when I hear about that it builds me not to reminisce and live off of yesterday's man or yesterday's Miracles but it makes me believe that in this moment that no matter what you're going through if you've got faith enough to build some forms up you've got faith enough for God to heal your body it'll cause you to start a building program and complete a building program without borrowing one penny but believing God is going to supply through his people every single step of the way called living by faith talking all right about faith Ephesians tells us above all taking the shield of faith faith is a defense mechanism faith can save your life Faith can save your marriage faith can save your family wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked it's a a protective barrier around our lives it's a a screen when we hear this word Shield we often think of a piece of metal held by an ancient warrior in the battle to protect him from the enemy a shield simply is what a person places for protection between him and danger and we no longer have physical arrows and darts so as a physical Shield we're offer us little or no protection but we are subject to the attacks of the enemy we're subject to the attacks of Satan who uses as Ephesian calls them fiery darts but we have have a shield of faith that is impenetrable and it's attacks from the enemy of the Soul it protects it and Satan has no Weaponry that is able to compromise this Shield Faith does not cause anyone to be passive conversely when we believe Faith precipitates action everybody say action AC and this action causes us to oy God Romans 16:26 says The Obedience of Faith as it is impossible to love without manifesting that love it's impossible to have faith in God without manifesting that Faith through obedience to him and his word oh I love my wife Kelly so dearly but instead of telling her I loved her maybe I just point at her every now and then just when she passes by oh you you know what it means right she understands what it means when I when I point or do you think perhaps maybe this is marriage 101 and maybe somebody can give me some counseling after this but do you think it would be better if I used and expressed and said Kelly baby honey I love you which which do you think is going to go a little bit better which one's going to keep me off the couch or now what if if I just tell her these things but I never actually show her that I do what do you think God expects from us when we get into his presence what do you think would happen if I came into his house and just said God I love you I I don't I I'm not concerned with who can hear me I'm not concerned if the current culture might even uh view me as foolish for jumping or or running or clapping my hands or or or there's something taking place in my life God where I need you to move and if if you don't move then something really drastic is going to happen there there's going to be an outcome that's going to negatively impact me it's going to negatively impact my life but your word says to worship you in advance and when you get to those desperate situations you don't seem to be too concerned who's watching or who's listening or who interprets your actions as something foolish cuz what would happen if you begin to view that relationship with God in the same way when you begin to speak with him when you begin to show him when you begin to rejoice in advance over the things that haven't even happened faith and works faith and obedience are a tandem you can't separate them Story Goes a young boy on an errand for his mother had just bought a dozen eggs walking out of the store he tripped and dropped his bag and all of the eggs broke the sidewalk was a mess and the boy tried not to cry a few people to gathered to see if he was okay and they told him I am so so very sorry but in the midst of the works of pity one man handed the boy a quarter then he returned to the group and said I care 25 cents worth He said how much do the rest of you truly care and the point is it's putting your words into action show me show me your faith God said show me me show me your faith in your actions or can you still praise can you still worship can you still Rejoice can you still prepare in advance for what I'm going to do do you believe do you believe in this outcome that you're praying for and yes many are fearful of their Works being misinterpreted as though to what Paul referred to in Ephesians 2 and Titus 3 the first reference makes mention that we are saved by faith carefully underscoring not of Works yes indeed the second reference States clearly that we are saved according to his mercy and not by works of righteousness which we have done but understand the difference between the two definitions we must understand that the works referred to in these two verses refer to works that are prior to Salvation not works performed by the redeemed there's a vast difference the former involves individuals attempting to earn or Merit salvation on the basis of their Good Deeds or behavior which is impossible but the latter however refers to Believers performing works on behalf of God being the image of the invisible God on this Earth proving his power showing that the miraculous can take place and living a life of Faith demonstrating their salvation through the faith and the the power of God with the infilling of the Holy Ghost regardless of whatever circumstance or situation that comes along being able to say I believe that God can heal I believe that God can provide and I'm going to do this I'm going to live like this because I know that God is going to answer my prayer if we don't believe in God we won't worship him we worship him because we have faith in him and that Faith causes us to oy him as faith and obedience are intricately connected so worship also joins together with faith and obedience worship is the natural response to Faith a person cannot have any Measure of Faith without responding to God in both obedience and in worship so what does faith do do for the redeemed what does it do for us it saves it sanctifies it overcomes and defeats Ephesians tells us for by Grace ye are saved through faith I I believe I believe that God's mercy and grace are new every morning and I believe God's mercy and grace are on your trail and I just believe by faith that there's not one thing that you can do in this world that God God is incapable of forgiving I don't believe there's something you can do and no matter how many times you do it if you come to him with a repentant heart at his Altar and say God I'm turning away from my sin I have faith in his mercy and his grace and I tell each and every one of you this morning no matter what you've done in your life no matter what shame guilt that you might be experiencing I have faith in a God who can give you Grace who will give you mercy and it is new every single morning there's no diminishing return on it there's no expiration date there's no hey well I came to the altar last week or I already asked God to forgive me a month ago and I messed up again oh no his mercy and Grace is new every morning and I have faith in that salvation is a process as Matthew tells us he that shall endure to the end the same shall be saved it's not a single Act of Faith but it's a relationship that begins with faith and it initiates obedience to the gospel and Redemption it sanctifies and being found in him not having my own righteousness which is of the law but that which is through the Faith of Christ the righteousness which is God by faith when we talk about faith when we preach about faith when we hear about faith when we Define faith when we look at the fundamentals of Faith yeah yes it involves the involvement of Divine Healing and miracles and we believe that we preach that and we're talking about it this morning but Faith also works in Believers to affect sanctification we talked about it being a shield it makes you walk different talk different have different aspirations it means to make Hol or set aside as holy you have a different Viewpoint there's a different aerial Vision when you look over situations in your life because you know God is directing your steps and it reveals that you're Sanctified by Faith 1 John 5:4 says for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith since the weapons of our Warfare are not carnal we must fight the wicked one with spiritual weapons and one of these spiritual weapons is our faith we're not outmanned we're not out gunned by the enemy our weapons are Mighty through God and Faith overcomes the world and it's the key that opens up God's Arsenal it defeats the Devil Revelation tells us and I heard a loud voice from Heaven saying now is come salvation and strength in the Kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ for the accuser of our Brethren is cast down which accused them before our God day and night and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony who's there who's they that's you that's us overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the miraculous work the salvific work that God did in your life you having faith for sanctification and Redemption through his mercy and Grace and in his blood from the beginning the devil has been the enemy of righteousness and everything good and as promised in Revelation we will defeat Satan we will defeat the things in our life by the blood of the Lamb of God and our faith plays a significant role in defeating Satan not only for oursel but for the encouragement and the inspiration for others Believers Place their faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and by that blood we will overcome the wicked one I hope this isn't oversimplified for you I hope this isn't too rudimentary or Elementary for you I hope the basics and the foundational elements of Faith don't bore you too much but when I start and learn and begin to hear about faith and read about what it means again and look at the stories where it's played out and I start thinking about individuals in my life who I've seen walked by faith in some dire circumstances it just does something to me it begins to make me think that I can make it it begins to make me think that God can move in my life just as well would you give him a hand clap of Faith you cannot please God without faith this is not my extrapolation if you will this is not my interpretation not my opinion we cannot please God without faith amen so it's imperative we know how to obtain it in fact we cannot be saved without faith it must be the object of our greatest Quest so therefore it is necessary to know how to get it so how do we get Faith Romans 10:17 tells us so then Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God that's it I love youth conferences I love camp meetings I'm Forum uh sometimes you'll even see things online about prophecy conferences and healing meetings and all these things or uh or end time meetings I'm not against any of them per se I'm for the gathering together no just about no matter what excuse but I want to tell you this morning that you on your own you as an individual you can open up this word right here no matter what circumstance you're facing no matter what time of life that you are facing you can open up this word and begin to read that's why it's so important to assemble together and hear the word of God go forth that that's not to give any admonition to somebody behind this pull pit but it's to say this word is so sacred this word is so powerful this word has so much life that when it goes forth and when I begin to read it when I begin to hear it when I begin to get in his book I begin to apply it to the situations of my life yes sir and all of the sudden some things that I was really down over and some things I I didn't know if they were going to get worked out or some things that were really taking me down where I didn't know what tomorrow was going to look like all of the sudden I begin to understand who's fighting my battles for me when I feel isolated I begin to understand that I will NE he will never leave me nor forsake me and that Faith inside of me is built for I say through the grace given unto me to every man that is among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man The Measure of Faith every single person God has given you a gift he's given you a Measure yesen of Faith it's not a natural attribute it's not a personality trait it's directly from God so that one would have no excuse judgment God gives to every person a Measure of Faith how could God have required faith for salvation without first giving Humanity an initial amount God will not require of something that is beyond our reach of humanity salvation depends on what we do with the measure of Faith he has given us if we do nothing with it we'll stand to testify against us in judgment for with faith we have an entity that the Lord will activate the next step in the process of establishing a Redemptive relationship with the Lord I I don't know if I have faith if I if I do it's not very much well I tell you what Jesus told his disciples his handpicked disciples that he picked out to go on to the Great Commission who he picked out to spread this gospel goel across the world you know what he told him if you have oh if you have a a huge amount of Faith then you're going to be successful in your ministry that I've called you to oh if you if you have faith uh Peter if you if you have if you have faith James is as deep as the Sea of Galilee then you'll really fulfill the commission that I've called you to no he said if you'll just have faith as the grain of a mustard seat I can do whatever I need to with that musicians and praise team come ahead Landon Gore last week at our youth camp and he's preached here many times he said something so profound he said sometimes the supernatural is super natural and one particular story that I'm drawn to as we talk about faith stands out so mightily you might even have one that stands out to you or you might even have a circumstance in your life or uh a a an individual in your life who just lived by faith and we think of those individuals but one St story in the Bible Matthew 2 uh verse 13 states and when they were departed behold the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and that angel remember Joseph and Mary and baby Jesus the angel said arise and take the young child and his mother and [Music] flee to Egypt and stay there be ye there the King James until I bring you word for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him now I want you to imagine for a second Joseph first of all an angel appeared that would that would be enough to get you thinking he said did I hear hear this Angel correctly did you just say take God incarnate Jesus here you know the creator of this world Messiah wrapped in flesh no big deal right did you just say angel to take him and his mother to Egypt and stay there till you tell me to leave we're talking about Egypt I mean why not the Greek Isles you know or uh the Italian Countryside that's not too far away but you you know Egypt uh in the history of our people Egypt has been a house of bondage to Israel Egypt was a place of Oppression I'm responsible for the savior of this world and an angel of the Lord is telling me to flee to what where what in hey Jesus you're right there are you telling me to do go back to Egypt I mean we we have holidays and feasts that celebrate the freedom from this place and and now I have the Messiah God wrapped in flesh I'm responsible for and you want me to go back to Egypt now there was no water being walked on in this moment there there was no dead being raised there was no vision being given to Blind Eyes there was no uh there was no food being dispersed to feed everyone but we see this trial of faith for Mary and Joseph but their faith being tried was found firm they they were in the crosshairs of the enemy because they had Jesus Joseph knew he he he knew that the Earth was the Lords and the fullness thereof even though this place you know stood out in a season of history for the people as a a place of bondage and a a place of Oppression and we still preach about it to this day in the metaphorical aspects when we talk about Egypt it was a a place that we now identify are turning away from the world and it's a type and Shadow of sin in the Bible and turning away from The World God freed me from Egypt but Joseph knew that even though this makes zero sense that the whole earth was the Lord's Egypt was a land of Idols it was the type and Shadow of Oppression there was no visible way of substance there yet he received a word from the Lord and none of these things made him hesitate he said even though I don't understand it even though it makes no sense with well logical reasoning even though it's pretty absurd to human understanding if I was going to write this story out where my people had been delivered from Egypt I have Passover and I I have all of these holidays that celebrate our people's uh deliverance from Egypt and now I have the Messiah who I'm supposed to care for who I'm supposed to protect and an angel is telling me to go back to that place that don't make any sense but what God is saying and moving and showing us to this day in this moment that the very land which was the land of Oppression when you have faith and you understand who's fighting on your side when you understand who's illuminating your next step he can make the very place of Oppression a land of refuge and safety he can overturn Nations and he can overturn kingdoms so that those who he has called can be safe anywhere no matter what somebody's defined it as no matter what it's been defined as or what's celebrated as the freedom from God can use any single place to protect those that he has called he can overturn Nations and kingdoms he can make the worst of places the very worst of places that make no sense to our human Minds serve the very greatest of purposes Genesis 5020 this was our motto I think in 2018 or 19 and US appropriately being at 5020 Pleasant r Road Genesis 5020 is the verse that talks about in Joseph's life though the enemy Meed for evil that's right God served it for good and we know that some things work together for no we know that all things Hallelujah all things if you believe that why don't you stand with me right now and we know that all things work together for good to those who are [Music] called so I ask you this [Music] morning do you have faith if you just have the faith of as a grain of mustard seed the results might not be immediate you may be tried and tested but he will never leave you or forsake you the Lord assured Joseph that he would not die in Exile in Egypt and I believe this morning this prophecy is for us as well and the reason Joseph that you're not going to die is because that baby that you're protecting that baby that you've been given to watch over that baby that I've commanded you to go into Egypt with his time is not yet come it's not yet time for him to start his ministry it's not yet his time to die and his time to ra I want you to know this morning that the Savior that we serve he's alive he's alive and because he's alive when you're in your Egypt you're going to be safe Joseph knew this newborn king hasn't fulfilled his mission yet and you're not done because he's not done could we lift our hands across this house I believe you still have a mission to fulfill you're going to be in the crosshairs of the enemy sometimes just because you have Jesus Oh and as we begin to read back and think of the prophecy of Hosea he said out of Egypt I have called my son they were walking right in a prophetic word they were taking step by step of Faith by something that had already been proclaimed hundreds of years earlier but because of their obedience the supernatural what's Supernatural it was simply obeying what God had told them to do and God sent them to a place that was formerly known for oppression and formerly known for a place that was was negative to their people he made the worst of places ser the best of purposes so with all that being said this morning I believe I'm talking to somebody who might have an Egypt situation in their life it could be a doctor's report that you feel took you into Egypt it could be a situation in your life that for whatever reason this this this doesn't make any sense but I believe by faith today I believe if you have faith today that God is not going to leave you there and as you go on to read we hear Joseph woke up he said get up get up it's time to go home that thing that was oppressing you that thing that was trying to take your life I sent you here to protect you but now I've taken care of it and you can go back so I wonder this morning and my question for you my invitation for you this morning is whatever manner of Egypt you have found yourself in and whatever ever capacity I believe by faith this morning the word of God is telling you to get up and go home get up and go give God praise get up and go Rejoice get up and lift your hands get up lift your eyes up to heaven oh that thing that's trying to take your life that place that you think is trying to take your family's life it's not going to harm you he's got a plan he's going to work it out for his good yes Jesus [Music] he's got it under control he's going to work it out for your good yes [Music] Jesus oh yes he can make the worst of places the worst of situations [Music] serve the greatest of purposes I don't understand it I don't have a response to it but I trust in you God I trust in the Lord yes Jesus oh would you pray to it would you ask him for Clarity on the next step would you obey what God is telling you to do oh it don't make any sense but he's leading you and he's guiding you yes Jesus
