Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Out of Egypt Have I Called My Son

  • Matthew 2 is read: the angel warns Joseph in a dream to arise and flee into Egypt with the young child and his mother, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him
  • The flight fulfills what was spoken of the Lord by the prophet Hosea: out of Egypt have I called my son
  • The preacher's own hard road out of Egypt that night — stopped again and again on the way to the airport — shows how hard a place Egypt is to get out of

Scriptures: Matthew 2:13-15; Hosea 11:1

Egypt Turned to Refuge

  • The place of bondage becomes a place of preservation: Joseph was elevated in Egypt to deliver his people in famine, and Moses was hidden and financed by the very house he would one day defy
  • When Herod is dead the angel speaks again in Egypt: arise, take the young child and his mother, and go back to the land of Israel — the thing that was trying to destroy you is now dead
  • God turns the worst of seasons into his triumph when his people stay faithful; Jesus redeems places as he redeems people

Scriptures: Matthew 2:19-20

Do Not Build in a Hiding Place

  • The enemy attacks what is carrying Jesus; an attack is proof that hell is afraid of what God is calling you to
  • Some storms are self-inflicted and some are not, but a season meant to be a hiding place must not become a building place — permanent decisions made in temporary hurt split families and dissolve relationships
  • David mourned, then rose, washed himself, and ate: repentance has a point where mourning ends and a man moves forward toward the promise

One More Step

  • The way back to the promise is one more step forward, taken again and again, until the journey out of Egypt is complete
  • The whole house is made an altar as the church prays together, and anyone not yet baptized in the saving name of Jesus is invited to be baptized today

If you would turn with me in your Bibles, we're going to look at Matthew 2:es 13- 15 and then 19 through 21. What a tremendous back- tochool revival that we've just continued uh to stay in. uh from prayer meeting to our revival service this Sunday and then Pastor Mcool this last Wednesday night uh spoke to us about uh putting on the full armor of God and what a what a tremendous message that was and I'm excited about what God has for us today. Matthew 2 verse 13. And when they were departed, this is Joseph and Mary. The angel of the Lord appearth unto Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there till I bring thee a word. for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night. And Joseph and Mary departed into Egypt. Everybody say Egypt. >> Egypt. and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet Hosea, saying, "Out of Egypt have I called my son." I want to speak to you for a few moments this morning on the title taken from the text from the prophetic word of Hosea coming to fruition by the Messiah Jesus Christ. Out of Egypt I have called my son. Let's pray over this word. Heavenly Father, we thank you this morning. Lord, we thank you for the outpouring and the abundance of your spirit that has been evident upon your people. Lord, we know on this Sunday, this is your day, and we collectively together rejoice and are glad in it. That our joy in you is our strength, and we're believing for transformation, your healing power, and your anointing to be with us during the duration of this service and through the entire day. In the name of Jesus, we do pray. Amen. Out of Egypt, I have called my son. Egypt is a hard place to get out of. And in fact, let me turn the audio just just to give you a little indication. About a year ago, I had the opportunity to go to the driving. There's four lanes, but there's seven cars wide. You can watch NASCAR. But anyways, we're heading there. I was matching with Germany next. >> So I'm not carrying stuff. smooth. You know, you read stuff, make sure you travel with somebody, write out an itinerary. I am a seasoned seasoned traveler, okay? None of that really applies to me. And I had allocated my cash in the uh in the in the transfer of the currency and all that all that stuff. And I ran out of cash just perfectly. And the only thing that I had left was just my commute back from my hotel, which was about 45 minutes close to the pyramids, uh, to the airport. So, I did what is wise. I scheduled an Uber driver. They have Uber there. I do this. I use Uber all the time. Okay? So, I scheduled an Uber earlier in that day to pick me up right at 11 p.m. Cairo time and everything's just going smooth. I pulled my uh carry on out there. I didn't even have any checked luggage cuz I'm just, you know, I'm traveling with ease. So, I pull out and here comes the Uber driver just on time, on schedule. I pull up, I get in the car. Man, I am home free. I'm going to make it to Germany. I'm preaching that next morning. Hey, I'm going to be up all night, but a once- ina-lifetime experience. We get in the Uber car and me and the driver are unable to communicate. He knows a few English words uh and uh we're using Google Translate. Keep in mind my data is kind of here or there, but no big deal. No big deal. But he communicates to me that Uber there I guess because of scams and frauds they cap the price off on what they are able to charge. Okay. So, if you were taking a uh an Uber from here to say McGee Tyson Airport, 30 35 minutes, it's probably going to cost you what around 30 $35 US give or take a little bit with a tip. Well, there they cap the Uber drivers at 12 US dollars. So, we start driving and he starts to communicate this to me and I and he goes and he's essentially saying, "For me to drive all the way to the airport, I'm going to have to come all the way back." They cap us at this. So, in order for me to get you to the airport, I need a $20 a 20 a US $20 bill. And do you have Vinmo? No. PayPal, Cash App? You take checks, nothing. No big deal, though. We're We're okay. We're okay. We're driving. And again, I have to get there on time as well. And I'm trying to come in and he says, "We'll stop at a an ATM." And an ATM, keep in mind, at 12:30 uh in Cairo in the middle of the night. And uh one thing I discovered in Cairo, it it's so hot during the day that the overpop populated city, everyone is out at night. I mean, you're driving, there's people walking uh through through the highways, on the sidewalks, four lanes, but you're seven wide. You're honking. Um it's not uncommon you'll see a little fender bender. There's not people getting out and trading insurance when that happens. It's usually um I I don't speak Arabic, but if I I think that I could interpret some of the words that they were saying to each other or at least get the point across. Okay, but in any case, he's like, I'm going to pull you up to this ATM. Okay, so we go up to an ATM and it and it really looks like it really looks like what an ATM would here just inside an enclosed building. And there's about uh three people in front of me. I got this. My phone's about 60% which is plenty plenty. Plenty plenty. And uh so after about 10 minutes and again my stuff's out in the car and I'm just watching this guy like is he going to is he going to pull off? You know what what's happening? And I'm just kind of keeping an eye on him. Next I finally get up to the ATM and obviously it's all in Arabic and I can't speak Arabic and I cannot read Arabic. So, chat GPT to the rescue. I'm getting far and I finally I finally and I'm feeling good. I'm able to withdraw $20 and you could pick the US currency. I saw the dollar bill. All right. I hit that and of course, what does it say? It's out. So this was a this was about a 30 minute ordeal and he's standing sitting out the car. So I'm like that's all right. And I'm in a suit as well. Okay. Because I'm preaching here in about six hours in Germany. Uh so I I to say I stand out is um I just stood out. Okay. So uh so we get back in his car and the guy's demeanor kind of changes and he's he's kind of honestly he wasn't mad. He starts kind of pouting. I'm like, "Bro, I I promise you, I'm going to get you $20 bill. I'm going to get you $20, you know, whatever it takes. Uh, I'm going to get you 20 bucks." And he just starts pouting. And then he starts communing communicating with me still through uh group Google Translate that uh he doesn't own this vehicle. It's his boss. His boss is going to be upset and that and then my fears starts to escalate. Mike, is there some type of uh Egyptian mafia that I'm having to worry about here? I mean, what what is going what is going on? So, we keep we keep driving. He's like, I've got to have $20. I got It's amazing he could say that in English really really clearly. Uh so, we keep going and we stop at another ATM, but this ATM is out just right off the highway. And uh it's at a gas station and the gas station was called uh the gas station was called uh Pharaoh's feed up and fuel up. I'll never forget. So I go to that ATM and I mean it's not as laid out as nice as the one inside the real bank. And so there's this this woman waiting on me who was so kind and she knew a little bit of English and she starts helping me and then she's like, "What's your pen?" And I'm just like, I mean, we're this far. So I tell her my pen. And there is a camel's head uh right over the left of me out in the parking lot of Pharaoh's feet up in Phillip. And then all of the sudden, these two guys in the parking lot get in a fight with each other. And my driver starts to I think he's pulling off, but he's like I'm like this is how it's going to end for me. Uh I, you know, if I'm going to die in Cairo, let's let me be around uh let it be a mummy or something around the uh uh around one of the pyramids. Not at Pharaoh's feet up and fill up. That's just not American. Imagine the headlines. That's not going to draw a lot of sympathy. You know, uh Pharaoh's fill up and feet up. So again, we finally got that the ATM never did never did do anything. So this guy's poutiness when I get I'm like, "Bro," and he I think he thinks I'm scamming him. I'm like, "Bro, I we I will give you my shoes. I'll walk barefoot. I'll give you 20." But those were those were made in China. But they like, "Bro, I will give you something like just get me to the airport." So, we continue to drive and he's kind of mad at this point and this guy's on the phone with him allegedly and they're just going back and forth and I'm like, "Oh man, this is how it's going to go." And uh my dad is tracking me and of course I'm not going to this tell Kelly where I am. It's about 1000 p.m. uh 910 p.m. US time and I didn't want to stress him out though. He's already stressed. He's like, "Why do you keep stopping?" I'm like, well, I can't really put it in text while I keep stopping. I'm at Pharaoh's feet up in fill up. Uh, so we I see that his gas tank is about a quarter fuel. So, I've got an idea. Chat, Google, chat, translate. Let me fill your vehicle up with I'll I'll top the thing off. And then his kind of turned into a smile. So, we go to a third stop. Again, I've got to get to the airport by by at least 1:00 a.m. to check in. My flight leaves at 3. So, again, we stop. And this is in the in the midst of this traffic that you saw earlier, 40 minutes from the airport, and it's the middle of the night. So I go in with the guy and uh uh we I fill up his vehicle all the way max three quarter tank. The fuel is so inexpensive there that I filled his whole tank of gas up and it only cost like seven between seven and eight US. So the smile went back to a frown. I'm still 10 $12 short. I'm like, bro, are you serious? So, I said, "Let me let me buy you some groceries. We're not at Pharaoh's fill up and feed up, but this looks like a nice establishment as well. Let me buy you some groceries." And he thinks, so he begins to write out what he wants. He writes out two Hershey bars, two Red Bulls, which I can do that at brother Alex. I know I know all about that. Seven packs of Marboral cigarettes. Whatever. Whatever it takes. I got to get out of here. I said, "Let's" and I kind of I kind of hang back in the lobby till it's my time to pay. So, he gets all that and I see him and the and the guy up front are kind of going back and forth and it's not going well. And I'm like, "What could possibly be happening?" Well, they have some kind of cap on how many packs of cigarettes you could buy. So, the guy's four short. So, one person can't buy more than three packs of cigarettes. So, you guessed it. Give me those four packs of cigarettes. So, I walk up to the counter and the guy's like, "Only three." And he was a younger guy and he spoke a little bit of English and I said, "No, you're going to sell me four." He's like, "No, only three." And he's like, "I'll get in trouble." And I said, "No, you're going to sell you're either going I'm going to buy three and I'm walking out." I was at that point and I said, "Sir, you're going to sell me four p." And he says, "Fine, fine, fine." And he did. I was like, "Yeah, things are going things are finally going my way." And I sent my dad a picture. I said, "Sorry, Dad. It's a long story, but I got to I got to get to the airport." And about that time, Sister Amy Loop texted me about a uh a volleyball uh practice that was coming up, and she said, "Hey, I'm so sorry to text you so late, but is this date clear?" And she was probably confused when I text her back. That was like, "Uh, yeah, that'll work fine. and please tell everybody that I love them and that I care for them so very much. So, we're about 20 minutes out still and I'm already supposed to be check checking in. The guy stops by his apartment on the way uh to the airport. I'm like, "What are you doing?" And but I'm at his mercy and he goes up. He said, "My my my girlfriend was thirsty." I'm like, "Did she need a Red Bull right now at Why is she drinking a Red Bull at 2:00 a.m.? Get me to the airport." So, I finally make my way to the airport and I get to the check-in counter. I've got my carry-on and of course, here I am in a suit standing out. Uh 30 Oh, I'm I'm going to have to sprint to my my gate. They say, the guy says, "Take everything out of your bag." And it was a British man. Uh he said, "Take everything out of your" And I'm like, "Are you sure you want me to take everything out of this bag?" And he's like, "Take everything out." Well, I was going to see uh Pastor Krauss, and he had wanted me to bring these two uh Bible studies. So, I had these two large study Bibles. And then I also had uh my kids and I were really into Aladdin. And I had this golden genie lamp and he's like, "What is this?" And I said, "It's a it's a genie lamp." I mean, you not know what a genie lamp is? I had a Book of the Dead from the pyramids. And uh uh one of those uh the Beatles that was like like like purely like formaldahhide, like a legit one that had been dried. He's like, "What is this?" And I said, "Bro, please." And he's like, "Where are you going?" And I said, "I'm going to Germany to preach a youth camp. And he goes, he shut my stuff. He said, "Get out of here." Anyways, there there's something almost providential even still to this day that it's it's tough to get out of Egypt. It's it's tough. It's difficult to get out of Egypt. Egypt is a hard place to get out of. Egypt is what God told his uh this this is what the angel told Mary and Joseph. This is where they told to they were told to take Jesus to. This was the place that God had delivered the Israelites out of. This was the place that they had festivals and feasts and every celebration was centered around the deliverance from Egypt. And now Mary and Joseph and Joseph is probably already, you know, pretty confused. Uh he's walking by faith in uncertainty because Mary's pregnant and he's like, I'm staying I'm staying with her still. Uh I'm going to stay faithful. And now an angel is telling me to take her and the child back to Egypt, the house of bondage, the place we celebrate deliverance. And I I'm uh I've got the Messiah of this world uh with me, the savior of the world, and you're telling me to go back to Egypt? I mean, are you are you are you kidding me? Uh, Matthew tells us it's it's one of the strangest, if you think about it, one of the strangest paradoxes in the in in the Bible that Mary and Joseph would take baby Jesus back in to Egypt. But sometimes the God who brought you out of Egypt will allow life to take you back through Egypt. And when you go back in these seasons, and we heard it preached last week so mightily on Sunday morning, sometimes your mission will take you back into the things that you thought you would never have to experience >> again. And it's in those moments that our flesh will begin to interrogate us. And we'll ask ourselves, am I really called? Am I really supposed to be doing this? I I thought I had been faithful. I thought I prayed. I thought I had all my spiritual disciplines intact. I thought I had my life in order. And we'll begin to ask these questions. I thought I was called. I I I thought I knew what your purpose was for my life. And why am I being called to go back to that PLACE AND BACK in a season that was once associated with oppression and discomfort. And the enemy begins to pick up on that self- interrogation as well and start saying, "Hey, see how faithful you've been. see all the stuff that you've that all the stuff that you've done. I've I've blessed you with resources. Oh, and you've used them for uh for his kingdom. Oh, you've used them, but now look where God brought you to. Some God to be faithful to, isn't it? Some God for you to to go worship. Uh and now that you got this doctor's uh report in your hands, hey, that's the God that you serve. And the enemy will pick up on this interrogation and begin to double down even stronger for you to question your faith. But hear me this morning. Each and every one of us have a calling >> and a mission and a promise. And the reason that the enemy has his crosshairs on you is for one specific reason alone. It's that you are carrying Jesus. The enemy wasn't after Mary or Joseph. The enemy was after the savior of this world. And in that moment and in that season, heaven was orchestrating some things behind the scenes that didn't make sense to human comprehension. They didn't make sense to the events that had led up to that point. But they said, "Take the young Messiah. Take him to Egypt." And that place that is associated with bondage, that place that is associated with a type and shadow of sin, that place that is associated with whips and chains and generation after generation being abused and oppressed, I'M GOING TO MAKE THE WORST OF CIRCUMSTANCES. NOW, by my will and by my glory, I'M GOING TO TURN THE PLACE THAT WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE WORST OF circumstances become a place of refuge. >> I'm going to turn that testimony, >> Hallelujah. >> I'm going to turn that trauma that you've experienced in your life. I'm going to turn that season in your life. I'm going to USE IT FOR MY TRIUMPH. if you'll be faithful. We serve a God who can make the worst of places. Serve the best of circumstances. Egypt's always been a strange place for preservation. But if you look at the history, what do we know about Joseph? thrown into a pit, lied upon, thrown into prison, but elevated himself and would be the deliverer during a famine to his people by being elevated in Egypt. Moses hidden, financed by the enemy, financed by the Pharaoh to be the deliverer of the Israelites. You don't know what God is using a specific season for in your life. You do not know what God is going to do through the things that you are having to experience. No, as a human, I can't give you explanation. And I can't write out with a pen exactly what's going to happen or what the next step looks like. But I do know that we serve a God who says that all things are going to work for the good of those who love me and those who are faithful. And hear me first. Apostolic Church of Knoxville this morning. Whatever Egypt you might have find yourself in. Maybe it's an Egypt of illness. Maybe it's an Egypt of brokenness. Maybe it's an Egypt where you're uncertain of what your next step is. Do not throw in the towel. And do not take IT AS SOME TYPE OF INDICTMENT THAT YOUR GOD has left you. Don't take it as some kind of signaling THAT YOU DON'T HAVE THE FAVOR FAVOR OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER. TAKE IT JUST THE OPPOSITE. SAY, "God is calling me because there is something powerful down in my life. There is a mighty mission that he's calling ME TO." AND BECAUSE YOU HAVE JESUS, BECAUSE YOU HAVE HIS SPIRIT LIVING AND BREATHING INSIDE YOU. OH, YOU THINK THE ENEMY IS JUST going to let you HAVE AN EMPTY PASS? YOU OUGHT TO TAKE IT AS PROOF THAT HELL IS AFRAID OF YOU. THAT HELL IS SCARED OF YOU. THAT HELL DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH YOU. I'M GOING TO TAKE THEM WITH EVERYTHING I've got. But they but hell is not going to have a clue how to combat what God is calling you to. And please know this morning and let me reiterate that we serve a God who can make the worst of places, the worst of seasons, the worst of events turn into his favor. >> The enemy attacks what is carrying Jesus. The enemy attacks what is carrying promise. The enemy attacks the spirit that is alive in somebody. But note this people of God, followers, believers, students of the word, he will call us to different seasons in our life or we will experience different seasons of our life. Some of them like the storm Jonah experienced was self-inflicted and all of us could say, "I got myself into this mess." Some will be an extemporaneous storm as the disciples were in. That's no fault of your own. But the disease of L if that'll sink in in a second. Stuff happens. Things happen. We live in a fallen world. But here's the thing also. Do not make decisions and do not build a house in a season that God called to be a hiding place. Don't don't make permanent decisions on temporary uncomfort and temporary seasons and temporary hurt. Unfortunately, I've seen seen families just in the in the midst of rage, a monument made out of a moment split their family, leave the church, leave the family and their jobs and just just in the in a moment of rage. And then a day later when reality hits back in and logic and reason come back into place, oh that that pride gets a hold of them and they they'll never acquies or never try to resolve or reconcile. And I've seen division whether it be marriages or families or individuals at their workplace or relationships with one another. seen those things just absolutely dissolve over just a few seconds usually of miscommunication and misunderstanding and usually selfishness on one or both of the parties and then pride restricts the resolution. Or maybe you made a mistake and you find yourself still kind of living with that mistake every single day. You've repented, you've prayed, but maybe because that mistake took place after you made a public proclamation of your faith, after you were baptized, the enemy just still continues to beat you up for it. There's still got to be a point where you begin to leave Egypt behind and start to get out and get out of Egypt. You can't stay in Egypt forever. Eventually, there's a point where you have to begin moving forward and moving out of it. We read the prophetic fulfillment. Out of Egypt have I called my son. The first book of the New Testament in the Gospel of Matthew reaches back to the prophet Hosea. And we see this divine fulfillment taking place that the house of bondage, the place of oppression, the place centered around the communal and covenant feasts of the Israelites, now being redeemed not as a place of oppression, but now as a place of refuge. And this would be a a microcosm even within the context of the entire earthly ministry of Jesus that he's even going back into Egypt. Jesus can't help himself. Everywhere he goes, people are getting reconciled unto him. He's changing the name and the definition and the interpretation of what things are known for. Now, instead of it being a place of oppression, it's now a house of refuge. And that is the prophetic fulfillment of what Jesus does to every single one of us. But even when we get to those places, we still have a promise. I think of King David after he had the egregious story, the adulterous relationship with Beth Sheeba, the treason and the conspiracy to have her husband killed in the line of battle. The Bible even says in in the season when kings should have been fighting, all of these things just lined up. then rebuked by a prophet. Because of this, he was cursed and the baby died. But the Bible says that he went into mourning, but eventually there came a point where the mourning was over. The Bible says he picked himself up, dusted himself off, went and washed himself and went and went and ate. This was not uh being absent minded or pushing something under the rug or using some type of defense and mechanism like denial in his life. But he was saying, I I've lived in this season. I have repented, but now it is time to move forward. There's still going to be some times of discomfort. There's still going to be some consequences for my action. But I can't stay in this temporary place because I have a promise in my future. And just a few uh few scriptures down in a chapter later, he then births Solomon, the next king of Israel, the king with all of the riches. and musicians in praised him. You can come one up. Jesus redeems. He redeems places and he redeems people. Matthew 2 tells us, "When Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appearth unto Joseph in a dream in Egypt, saying, Arise and take the young child and his mother and go back to the land of Israel." He says, "The thing that was trying to destroy you is now dead." And now, Joseph, you need to wake up. You need to rise up. You need to get up and you need to grab Mary and you need to grab Jesus. And you NEED TO GET BACK TO THE place that I have promised you to. I wonder if somebody under the sound of my voice this morning, only you know what Egypt you've experiencing. I I've tried my best to put some words to it and and describe some different seasons that we experience. But there has to be a point. There has to be a time where we say the joy of the Lord is my strength and I have Jesus in my life. Yes, THIS WAS A TOUGH SEASON. YES, THIS WAS A BAD SEASON. YES, IF I COULD DO SOME THINGS DIFFERENT, THEN I WOULD. YES, THIS CIRCUMSTANCE GOT OUT OF MY HANDS. YES, THIS WAS MY FAULT. YES, I I WISH THINGS COULD BE DIFFERENT. BUT THERE HAS TO BE A POINT WHERE HEAVEN'S CALLING YOU TO SAY, "GET UP AND STEP OUT AND MOVE forward and begin TO MAKE YOUR JOURNEY BACK TO THE PLACE THAT I HAVE PROMISED YOU STAND with me." I believe that heaven is calling on someone today who has experienced Egypt and you're still living with it and you're still living in it. And the enemy begins to PLAGUE YOUR MIND. AND EVERY TIME YOU TAKE A STEP FORWARD, he whispers in your ear, "Oh, is that the God you serve? Oh, I thought I thought you were going to I thought you were called. I thought you were chosen. I thought you were blessed beyond measure. Oh, I thought God was going to open up the windows of heaven up on your life. Don't you listen to the enemy. Let that be proof that SOMETHING GREAT IS ABOUT TO happen in your life. LET THAT BE PROOF THAT YOU INDEED have Jesus in your life. If the enemy is not attacking you, that means you don't EVEN MATTER TO HIM. THAT LETS YOU TAKE EVERY ATTACK from the enemy as proof that he is working in your favor. AND HE TRUSTS YOU AND HE KNOWS THAT NO MATTER WHAT COMES YOUR WAY, YOU'RE GOING TO GET UP AND GET OUT OF THAT PLACE. AND THEN WHEN YOU GET OUT OF THAT PLACE, IT'S not going to be something that you just KEEP TO YOURSELF. IT'S NOT GOING TO BE SOMETHING THAT YOU get out and and get your tie up real high of, oh, look how much I did and and conquered that season. NO, NO. YOU'RE GOING TO GET OUT OF IT AND YOU'RE GOING TO KNOW THAT the only way, the only way that I was able to make IT THROUGH IT WAS MY relationship with Jesus Christ. He led me. He guided me. He was with me every step OF THE WAY. AND SOMEBODY MIGHT BE LIVING IN between two prophetic words this morning. He He told you to wait here and he sent you here. And now he's TELLING YOU TO GO, BUT YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO GO. THE BEST WAY TO GO BACK TO THE PROMISE IS JUST TO TAKE one more step forward. ONE MORE STEP FORWARD. YOU MIGHT HAVE CRAWLED INTO THIS HOUSE THIS MORNING and you barely made it. OH, BUT REJOICE AND SAY, "HEY, I MADE IT. I I'm IN HIS HOUSE. I I I didn't sleep last night. I wrestled with the rock as a as a pillow. I I WOKE UP OVER AND OVER. I HAVEN'T EATEN. NOT BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO FAST, BUT I'M SO SICK OVER A SITUATION. BUT I BELIEVE GOD IS CALLING ON SOMEBODY THIS MORNING TO GET UP AND WAKE UP AND HEAD BACK TO THE PROMISE. AND WHATEVER YOU'RE FACING, THE next thing you need to do is just take one more step. One more step. Oh, it's it's hard to get out of Egypt. It's difficult to get out of Egypt. It's frustrating to get out of Egypt. BUT I WONDER IF SOMEBODY THIS MORNING WOULD JUST take one more step right here to the altar. Just one more step. Just one more step. Oh, maybe two steps. I'm I'm heading out. I'm getting up and I'm getting out of of this season that I'm in. I'm not called to stay here forever. I'm not called to live here forever. I'm going to take another step forward. If I got to storm the gates of hell with a water pistol, whatever I got to do, I'm going to fight. I'm going to take another step. Don't let the voice of the enemy be louder than your praise. Don't let the voice of the enemy be louder than the victory that Jesus has for your life. You've got Jesus. You've got Jesus. You've got Jesus in your life. I would invite every single person right now to lift up their hands across this house. There's different stories and there's different testimonies. We don't know what people are going through. And no matter what situation you find yourself in, don't be tempted to look over and say, "Man, if I if I just had what they have, if they if I was just like them." No, everybody everybody has stuff. But I believe this morning that God is calling us. God is calling us to a transformation. When we talked about that preservation with Joseph, he was in the prison and then there was a transfer of power of authority. I believe there's going to be a transfer of power in the Egypt in this season that you're in. You you might be in a place of uncertainty. You might be in a place of question. YOU MIGHT HAVE done everything right in your mind and you still find yourself in a season of Egypt and difficulty, but don't take that as some kind OF SIGNAL THAT YOUR GOD HAS LEFT YOU. Let it be THE OPPOSITE. THAT GOD TRUSTS YOU, that he's leading you, that he's guiding you, THAT WHEN IT'S ALL OVER, HE'S GOING TO GET THE GLORY, and there's going to be even more people impacted than there were ever was before. And he's going to use you to be a testimony. He's going TO USE YOUR TRAUMA, YOUR DIFFICULTY, YOUR habit that you had, your self-inflicted storm, and he's going to use that, and he's going to have you minister to somebody else. You're going to say, "Let me tell you how to take the next step. Let me tell you how to take the next step." Oh yeah, it's hard to get out. Sometimes it's hard to get out of Egypt sometimes, but just take another step. Oh, you messed up. Hey, let's lock arms. Let's take another step. We're going to keep going. We're going to keep moving. Keep moving till I get to that promise. Victory. >> Oh, we're going to see a victory. >> We're going to see a victory. The battle belongs to you, Lord. I'm going to see a victory. I'm going to see a victory. For the battle belongs to you, I'm going to see a victory. I'm going to see a victory for the battle belongs to you, Lord. I'm going to see a victory. I'm going to see a victory for the battle to you, Lord. >> I want to do something right now. And everybody be looking around. We're one church body. We come here for strength. Iron sharpeneth iron. If you're going through in an experience, we don't need to know the details. But if you're in Egypt right now, or maybe you've been trying to leave in an Egypt, would you lift your hand across this house? Would you be so bold to lift your hand? Everybody look around. If there's somebody close to you with their hand up right now, I believe in the power of prayer. And I also believe in the power of a push by fellow saints of God that through the prayer right now, there's going to be a supernatural encouragement that says, "I'm going to take another step." WOULD YOU PRAY WITH ME, CHURCH? WELL, COULD WE ALL PLAY TOGETHER RIGHT NOW? LET'S ALL PRAY TOGETHER. AND THIS WHOLE PLACE, MAKE IT AN ALTAR. I know everybody can't get to the front, but he said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer." If you believe in the power of prayer, why don't you lift your hands and open your voice and let's pray RIGHT NOW. MIGHTY GOD, you see the circumstances of life that your people find themselves in. Lord, you see the questions. You see the doubt. You see the weariness. You see the anxiety. Lord, you you see the uncertainty. Oh Lord, you see the faithfulness of those who are continuing to press forward despite what the enemy has told them, despite what those around them has told them, despite what society has castigated them as. Oh, you see their heart and their determination. Mighty God, under the authority of the Holy Ghost, by the power of the name of Jesus Christ, I declare a supernatural transfer of power over addiction. Right now, I declare a superpower transfer of power over unresolved relationships. I declare peace in the home. I declare peace in the mind. I declare peace at the workplace. Oh Lord, remove fear. Remove doubt. Oh, I'm taking a step forward. I'm getting out of this place. He said, "Wake up. IT'S TIME TO GO BACK. WAKE UP. IT'S TIME to go back. Arise. It's time to go back. That thing that was trying to harm you, it's now dead. It's now killed. Get the mother. Get your family. And go back to the promise. Live in peace. Live in victory. Oh, in the mighty name of Jesus, I declare healing right now. Oh, in the name of Jesus. Oh, those fretting over a doctor's report, I declare healing and peace of mind and victory in the name of Jesus right now. Yes, God. Oh, pray with me. Would you press a little further? Would you press a little more? Would you press a little more in your praise? Would you press a little more in your prayer? Just press just a little bit more. Oh yes, Jesus. God, you're doing it right now. You're doing it right now. All the enemy turn right now. for you. >> Yes, Jesus. >> If you have yet to be baptized in that saving name, that victorious name, that healing name of Jesus, we have clothes for men, women, children, boys, and girls. We have somebody to ready to baptize you. We've got a baptistry. this screen with one push of the button just kind of elevates up and we can baptize you today. If you need baptized in the name of Jesus, I wouldn't wait another moment. I'm going to give this invitation every time I get up. If you haven't been baptized, pray about it. Seek the face of the Lord. But I know what the answer is to that prayer. You need to get baptized in his name. Oh, there's life in his name. and he's going to fill you, fill you with your spirit. If you're determined to take a step forward by faith in your season, why don't you give the Lord a hand clap of praise, Pastor M.
