Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
I am this day weak, though anointed king
- David spoke it with the crown on his head: Saul was dead but the kingdom was still divided, and Abner's mission to unite Israel ended when Joab murdered him - David had to lead a fractured kingdom through the consequences of someone else's decision.
- One of life's heaviest burdens is carrying responsibility for problems you did not create: keeping peace while someone else creates conflict, and holding together a family that has been wounded.
- David does not say I was anointed, or that God has abandoned him, or that the oil has left his life; two realities exist at the same time - I am weak, and I am still anointed king.
- Emotions are honest but they do not define our identity: the crown did not remove the burden, and the anointing does not eliminate the battle - don't confuse exhaustion with rejection, for the weight of the press is what extracts the oil from the olive.
Scriptures: 2 Samuel 3:39
Dig a little deeper
- An old farmer would not leave his well when every other well in the drought had failed; mocked every day, he climbed down into it and found beneath the hardened sediment the faintest trickle - the source was not gone, it was simply deeper than the surface - and digging, he broke through to a spring that overflowed.
- People are often too quick to pronounce dead what God is simply deepening: the enemy judges by the surface, and so do we, but God always works at the source.
- We judge the entire scope of our life by a few moments of disappointment or failure, yet some events that unfolded are not a curse over your life and are not necessarily a repercussion of anything you did wrong.
Son of man, can these bones live?
- Samson's strength returned when he turned himself over to God and pled for one more time - and where Samson tore things down, God can give supernatural strength to build things back up.
- Ezekiel's river began as a gentle flow out of the temple and deepened as it went - ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep, then waters deep enough to swim in: all God needs today is a little flow, and it will bring life to dead and dry places.
- God brings Ezekiel to a valley of dry, dead bones and asks him, Son of man, can these bones live? Get your own dead situation on your mind - a marriage, a relationship, your children, your job - there is still hope, there is still a work to be done, and you are still anointed.

If you have your Bibles, 2 Samuel 3:39. 2 Samuel chapter 3 verse 39. I had the tremendous privilege this weekend of going with my wife, kids, parents, and grandparents up to where uh my grandmother is from in the Rock Creek, North Carolina area in Johnson City. And uh Bishop and Sister Mccur showed us uh where the first tent revival was up there where they met and the first church, him and his twin brother. And we'll be telling you more about that uh soon. But um I just give my grandparents the highest honor in the world. And I know many of you could say the same thing. I wouldn't be where I am without them. And I I'm so grateful uh for their vision and uh words fail to truly describe. I give pastor sister Jamie honor as well. 2 Samuel chapter 3 verse 39. And I'm going to take just a portion if you would allow me uh this morning from this verse. 2 Samuel 3:39. This is King David at this time speaking. And I am this day weak. Though anointed king, I am this day weak. though anointed king. I want to speak to you for just a few moments this morning on the title I'm still anointed. I'm still anointed. Could we bow our heads and let's pray over this sermon at this time? Heavenly Father, we thank you for allowing us the privilege, the opportunity to assemble here together, to lift up your name, to study your word. Your word tells us iron sharpeneth iron. And Lord, we know when we praise together, when we worship together, when we give together, when we sing together, there is a special blessing in the community of your body representing you on this earth. Lord, we ask for your power and your anointing and your demonstration of your supernatural miracles to take place on somebody's life right now. and through the duration of this service, let this word breathe into us that we go out and be the example and the embodiment of you in this world. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. And amen. Somebody say, "I'm still anointed." >> Makes you feel kind of good, don't it? >> Amen. During one of the historic droughts that struck the American Southwest, farmers watched fields that had once promised abundance become cracked and hardened earth. The crops failed. Livestock weakened. Entire communities wondered if they would survive another summer. But perhaps nothing discouraged them more than watching the longtime life sustaining water producing wells that begin to fail one by one. First one was maybe just happen stance. Second was a coincidence. But then there was a pattern of behavior with this drought where even if you were currently obtaining water from your well, the clock was ticking before yours dried out. Those wells had sustained families for generations. Grandfathers had dug them out with their hands. Children had grown up drawing water from them. They were symbols of life and not just a symbol, literal life sustaining water. But there was one elderly farmer who after everyone's wells had dried up and people began to disperse and to make other lifealtering arrangements and changes. There was one elderly farmer who had been there before who refused to leave the old well that was on his property. Every morning he carried the same weathered bucket to that same circle of stone. And every morning he lowered it down into darkness. And every morning it returned with less water than the day before. The neighbors watched and at first they sympathized. This old man who probably had to limp out there to that old well. He's probably got some type of dementia or some type of obsessive focus on this well and it's just I feel so sorry for the man. But then they questioned him and finally he became the punchline and they begin to laugh. Eventually they got the nerve to in his presence say, "Hey, old man, I'm trying to help you out. That well is finished. You're just lowering a bucket down into memories. It's apparent your back is bent. It's a parent that uh your hands are a bit crippled by arthritis. Hey, you you've got some stuff you could sell. You could you could move out of here and just try to make the best of the rest of the years of your life. But one thing is for sure, you're going to kill yourself before your time. You're either going to die of not being hydrated or you're going to hurt yourself severely working on that old dried up well. But this wasn't his first time. And every evident day the evidence seemed to be on the side of the critics. The bucket would come back even lighter. The rope felt even heavier. And the well, by all accounts, looked dead. One afternoon though, determined to know for himself and also adhering to a story his grandpa had once told, the old farmer with his bent back climbed down into the well. And the people now were kind of feeling bad like, did we force him to do? We're going to have go have to help this guy out. The stones were dry, the walls were cracked, and dust covered places where moisture had once glistened. Everything visible testified. I like that statement. It testified every everything around him testified that the well had reached its end. But then he noticed something. Hidden beneath years of hardened sediment, almost invisible to the eye above, was the faintest trickle of water just slipping through a crack of limestone. Not enough to fill a bucket, not enough to satisfy a family, but it was enough to tell him one thing. that this old well that had been here for multiple generations that his grandfather had dug out, the source was not gone. The source was simply deeper than the current surface. So while everyone else walked away, the old farmer with his bent back and arthritis kept digging. Hands blistered, his back achd. The voices of the critics echoed down the well. Some showing sympathy. Let us let let me help you out of there, old man. Some making a joke, telling me it's over and you're wasting your time. But with every swing of his pick, there was an act of faith based on what he had been told by his grandfather that sometimes you have to just dig a little bit deeper and what is below the surface might not be visible to the eye above. And finally, after days of labor, his pick broke through a shelf of limestone into an underground spring. And at first, it was only just a trickle of water. But then it became a stream. And then water rushed upward until that old well overflowed with more water than anyone could remember. The same neighbors who mocked him returned carrying their empty buckets. The well they declared dead became the well that sustained their family, that sustained their community. The point being, people are often too quick to pronounce dead what God is simply deepening. >> I see this happen with teenagers. We see this happen with young adults who at a specific season in their life or young marriage or any season of life really. An event can take place some decisions were made and we can look with our phariseical lifted nose and I can't believe those parents would allow their children to do that or I can't believe this young man or young woman would do that. forgetting when they were that age. Even though some of the stories you might be aware of, but uh forgetting when they were around that time and all just like the crowd assembled around the farmer, rule them out. Count them out. Count this situation. Count this person. They're dead. And because of what they have done, because the decisions they have made, because of the events that have transpired in their life, surely nothing more can come from them in the kingdom of God. The enemy always judges by the surface. Often times we judge by the surface, but God always works at the source. And maybe, just maybe, somebody came into the sanctuary this morning feeling or dealing with a situation just like that old well. You've smiled while carrying burdens that no one knows about. You've worshiped while wondering how much strength you actually have left. You've kept serving God while privately asking yourself, "Do I have anything left?" And yes, I would be the FIRST ONE TO TESTIFY IF I COULD TURN BACK time and make different decisions OR DO THINGS DIFFERENT. CERTAINLY. But often times we're judged by the worst moments in our life and not by the days and the years of faithfulness that we've showed. And when I say we're judged, yes, other people get involved. But what I've learned is the older you get, the more people actually don't care about much what you do. They're more worried about their self. When really we judge ourselves >> by the worst moments or the decisions in our life when really you've done a good job. When really you've been faithful. When really some events THAT HAVE UNFOLDED HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH A CURSE OVER YOUR LIFE AND ARE NOT NECESSARILY A REPERCUSSION OF ANYTHING YOU'VE DONE WRONG. I'm not here this morning to preach a health, wealth, and prosperity message. But at the same time, when you put yourself under the subjection of God's word, there's some THINGS YOU CAN DO THAT BRING HEALTH. There's some things you CAN DO WITH YOUR MANAGEMENT THAT WILL BRING WEALTH. AND I'M NOT just talking about monetary increase. THERE'S THINGS YOU CAN DO THAT BRING PROSPERITY, the gathering of your loved ones together, the ability to come to church and sit by fellow saints of God. True prosperity. But often times we're our worst judge. We're our worst critic. And maybe there are other exterior voices that we've listened to that we've allowed to influence our self-perception. And we judge, let me reiterate, the entire scope on our our life based on just a few moments of disappointment or failure. And the devil whispers, the enemy whispers, YOU'RE EMPTY. THERE'S NOTHING else left. Go try something else. But I do believe in the Holy Ghost this morning that what you feel on the surface is not the whole story. And I believe this morning inside every single individual under the sound of my voice that the source is deeper than the surface. David declared to us and it brings us into the most one OF THE MOST TRANSPARENT verses in the Bible. King David now with the crown on his head says, "THOUGH ON THIS DAY I am weak, I'm still anointed king." >> Those words ought not to surprise us. This this David at this particular point IN TIME IS NO LONGER in the cave of Adulum. THIS DAVID IS NO LONGER FLEEING Saul out in the wilderness. He's not the forgotten SHEPHERD BOY TRYING TO WORK HIS WAY UP AND TRYING to prevent a present a case for HIS CAUSE TO GO OUT AND FIGHT GOLIATH. NO, NO, NO. This is David, King David, THE ANOINTED ONE, THE MESSIAH WOULD COME IN HIS BLOODLINE. THIS IS KING DAVID WALKING AROUND his golden throne with EVERY RICHNESS AND EVERY TREASURE IMAGINABLE AND THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF OF ARMY AND MILITARY THAT WOULD GO ATTACK THE ENEMY AT HIS COMMAND. EVERY RESOURCE AVAILABLE. THIS IS DAVID WITH THE CROWN ON HIS HEAD saying >> on this day I feel weak on this day. I feel weary on this day. I just don't have any strength. On this day I'm carrying a tremendous burden. On on this day in my flesh and in my emotions I'm not sure I'm going to make it. But I'm still anointed king. Saul was dead, but the kingdom was still divided. Judah followed David, while the northern tribes followed Ishibasheth, Saul's son. Civil war lingered over the nation. And then hope appeared. Abnner Saul's commander in an act of diplomacy sought peace and came to David with the intention of uniting Israel under one king. So again the kingdom of Israel is divided. Saul's follower Abnner comes to David in an act of diplomacy to say, "David, King David, let's make this one united federation, one uh unite all the tribes one united king." And this seemed like the conflict was ending. But then David's nephew, Joab, one of his great military leaders, murdered Abner and sent everything back into disarray, worse than it was. David never ordered it. David condemned it. David mourned it. And he even fasted for the nation. I was so close to having everyone united. I was so close to be becoming the king of this Israel Federation. I was so CLOSE. AND MY NEPHEW, HE'S A good man. He's he he he's I'm close to him. HE'S I FOUGHT SIDE BY SIDE TO HIM ON THE ON the battlefield. HE'S A A GREAT military general. He's a he's an asset in the kingdom. At the end, Saul's son comes and uh tries to make peace. And whatever the situation or stipulation in the moment of rage, maybe because of a past conflict, he murders him. And what was just about to be a tremendous peace treaty tears in two. David still though had to lead a fractured kingdom through the consequences of someone else's decision. Have you ever discovered that one of life's heaviest burdens and I know a mother, a father, a grandmother, a grandfather, teacher, coach, maybe you're that mediator in the family. You know who you are. Is carrying responsibilities for problems that you did not even create. >> Some of the trouble that keeps you up at night had nothing to do with your actions. But because of the love and care that you have for your family, for your children, maybe for your parents, or you whatever the situation is, that's what you're carrying around. Trying to keep peace while someone else is creating conflict and trying to hold together a family that's been wounded. Trying to lead people who don't always understand your heart. trying to remain faithful while the weight of expectation grows heavier every single day. That's where David stands at this moment. The crown is on his head and the burden is on his shoulders. And in one breathtaking sentence, we were so close. Oh, on this day, man, I'm a failure. I've lost this peace treaty. I'm weak, but I'm still anointed king. Notice what David does not say. Pastor Batson touched on this last week. We got to be careful with our language. We got to be careful with the things that we pronounce, the things We got to be careful with the things that exit the lips of our mouth. He does not say I was anointed. >> He does not say God has abandoned me. He does not say the oil has left my life. Instead, he acknowledges two realities that exist at the same time. two realities that we have to acknowledge in our life. I am weak. I have trouble. I've made mistakes. There's some things I wish I could go back and change, but I can't. I'm trying to hold everything together. I'm struggling. I NEED HELP. THIS SITUATION IS A DISASTER. I DON'T KNOW IF WE'RE GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH TOMORROW. SO, I NEED I NEED SOMEBODY TO PRAY FOR ME. I am ill. I I NEED GOD TO MAKE A WAY. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, even when YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THOSE TROUBLES, EVEN WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THOSE SITUATIONS, DON'T LET FOR ONE MOMENT MAKE YOU DOUBT FOR ANY SECOND THAT YOU ARE NOT STILL ANOINTED BY GOD. IN FACT, GOD is deepening IS DEEPENING YOUR LIFE TO SHOW YOU THAT IN THOSE MOMENTS, IF YOU'LL LIFT YOUR HANDS, THAT IN THOSE MOMENTS, IF YOU'LL SPEAK OUT PRAISE, THAT JUST LIKE THAT FARMER, HE'S ASKING YOU TO DIG A LITTLE DEEPER. DIG A LITTLE DEEPER. YEAH. THERE MIGHT BE SOME VOICES on the exterior that might BE MOCKING YOU OR FEEL SORRY FOR YOU, SAYING, "WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING? HOW COULD YOU LIFT YOUR HANDS IN THAT SITUATION? HOW COULD YOU WORSHIP WHILE THAT'S GOING ON? BUT IF YOU'LL JUST KEEP DIGGING A little deeper. OH, IT'S NOT AN ABUNDANCE like an ocean running out. OH, IT'S IT'S NOT A RIVER THAT THAT'S GOING to that's going to flood the land. BUT IF IT'S JUST A LITTLE TRICKLE, IF IT'S JUST A GENTLE FLOWING STREAM, OH, THAT'S PROOF ENOUGH THAT GOD'S NOT FINISHED WITH YOU. GOD'S NOT DONE WITH YOUR LIFE. IT'S PROOF AND IT TESTIFIES THAT GOD IS WORKING IN YOUR SITUATION. WOULD YOU GIVE THE LORD A GREAT big hand? I'm weak, but I'm STILL ANOINTED. SOMEBODY SAY, "I'M STILL ANOINTED." >> His emotions were honest, but our emotions do not define our identity. The crown didn't remove the burden. The anointing does not eliminate the battle. The oil did not prevent tears but it sustained him through them. Don't confuse exhaustion with rejection. That is human nature. Jesus deals with this when he finds the blind man and the people around like oh what did his parents do that his son was born blind. We always want to associate something bad that has taken place is due as a consequence for someone else's or for my personal decisions. Do not assume that because the battle has become heavier, the anointing has become lighter. The weight of the press is what extracts the oil from the olive. If there's if there's no weight, if there's no press, there's no oil being extracted. The burden may have increased, but the oil has not diminished. Your present weakness is not evidence that God has withdrawn his calling. It may simply be evidence that you've been faithfully carrying something that is tremendously heavy. something so heavy THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT receive gratitude in the immediate, even though your children might not be able to verbalize what you've been doing, picking up another job and carrying them through this situation or taking them to rehab or taking them to counseling or paying for stuff that you really didn't even have money for, but you're making sure they have all the resources they need. that that even though in THIS SITUATION THAT SOMEBODY'S NOT ABLE TO VERBALIZE IT in the IMMEDIATE OR MAYBE YOUR PARENTS DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WHILE YOU'RE HELPING THEM OUT LIKE THAT OR YOUR FAMILY YOU'RE THAT MEDIATOR in your family and you're carrying stuff for others even though in the moment there will be A DAY WHERE THEY COME BACK TO YOU AND THEY SAY THANK YOU AND YOU'RE GOING TO LOOK BACK IN THAT SEASON OF FATIGUE in that season of weakness in that season WHERE YOU WERE CARRYING OTHER PEOPLE'S BURDENS AND you're going TO SEE HOW GOD JUST MIRACULOUSLY worked in their life. >> And you know how he did it. >> Oh, this is deep stuff right here. Are you ready? You know how God did a miraculous work in their life? Through you. >> Through you. You are the miracle. God worked through you to provide. God worked through you to carry. God worked through you to encourage. God worked through you to lead. The enemy may describe your feelings, put words to them, but he doesn't get to define your identity. He David said, "I'm weak." But God says, "You're anointed." And when the two voices meet, because that's our life, right? These two voices are going to meet every single day. The flesh and the divine. God's word must have the final say. Certainly, voices of negativity are loud. Voices of skepticism are loud. voices of critique and mumblings and stuff you hear that somebody else told you about what you did or about your children or is all that loud and is it annoying? Is it frustrating? Does it make you angry? 1,000%. But God said you're anointed. And even though there MIGHT BE NEGATIVITY, EVEN THOUGH THERE MIGHT BE SKEPTICISM, EVEN THOUGH THERE MIGHT BE A BAD DOCTOR'S REPORT, EVEN THOUGH THERE MIGHT BE SOME THINGS THAT INFURIATE YOU IN THE MOMENT, GOD'S WORD HAS TO BE LOUDER THAN THE FLESH. GOD'S WORD OF YOU'RE STILL ANOINTED HAS TO BE LOUDER. I still have my hand on your life. YOU ARE STILL CALLED. YOU ARE STILL CHOSEN. I'M STILL GOING TO DO A MARVELOUS WORK. I WONDER IF ACROSS THIS HOUSE WE COULD HAVE 100% PARTICIPATION JUST FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS FOR EVERYBODY TO STAND AND EVERYBODY TO WORSHIP AND PRAY THAT PRAYER OF PROCLAMATION. HERE WE GO. SAY, "I'M STILL ANOINTED. I'M STILL WORTHY. HE'S STILL WORKING. THERE'S STILL OIL FLOWING. THERE'S STILL WATER GOING TO COME OUT OF THIS. I'M GOING TO DIG A LITTLE DEEPER. YEAH, EVERYTHING AROUND ME IS SINKING SAND." BUT ON THIS CHRIST, THE SOLID ROCK I STAND. WHEN I NEED A SHELTER, WHEN I NEED A FRIEND, I GO TO THE ROCK. I WONDER IF SOMEBODY WOULD WORSHIP RIGHT IN THEIR PEW AND SAY, "I'M STILL ANOINTED. I'M STILL ANOINTED. OH, I'M WEAK ON THIS DAY, BUT I'M STILL ANOINTED." Do you believe it? Do you believe it? Oh, I believe it this morning. I believe I'm with a bunch of anointed people this morning. I believe I'm with A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH GOD, WHO KNOW HOW TO GET A HOLD OF GOD, WHO KNOW HOW TO SHOW UP WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS TO BE EMPTY, WHO KNOW HOW TO GET DOWN IN THAT WELL. OH, I HEAR THE VOICES. YEAH, SOME THINGS HAVE MADE ME MAD, BUT I'm going to get chip away. Chip away. Oh, I can hear something flowing. Just remain standing. and musicians come. Oh, I'm reminded of the story of Samson. It's probably my favorite story in the word of God. And we beat him up a lot when we preach about him. And he deserves it. He can handle it. He did some dumb stuff. Stupid stuff. Yeah. I mean, if you were going to be a Bible character, wouldn't you want to be the guy that's just steroided up and like the massive he did some dumb stuff and lost his strength. But one of my favorite parts, he became entertainment for the Philistines after he lost his strength. after he would had given up his calling, after the enemy had lied and deceived him. >> And yes, there's consequences of sin, don't get me wrong. But last time I checked, grace is greater. It's another Well, that's the same sermon. >> Oh, but at the end of his life, he said, "God, these people are mocking me. God, these people are mocking you. Could you let my hair grow just a a little bit right now? Could you give me just just one more? Just one more time. Give me a little bit of strength. Oh, one more time. LET MY HAIR GROW OUT JUST A LITTLE BIT. GOD, I'M SORRY. GOD, I HATE THAT IT GOT TO THIS POINT, BUT GOD, I PLEAD FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS. GOD, WOULD YOU DISPLAY YOUR POWER RIGHT NOW? WOULD YOU LET MY HAIR GROW JUST A JUST A LITTLE BIT? WOULD YOU BRING BACK JUST ENOUGH STRENGTH? AND IN THAT MOMENT, SAMSON TORE DOWN THE COLUMNS AND HE SHUT THE MOUTH OF THE ENEMY. YES, THERE'S CONSEQUENCES OF SIN. SO, GIVE ME A LITTLE BIT OF LATITUDE with that verse. But I BELIEVE LIKE THE STORY OF SIMPSON, IF WE'LL TURN OURSELVES OVER TO GOD, IF WE'LL COMPLETELY BECOME TRANSPARENT TO HIM, instead of tearing things down, I BELIEVE YOU GOT SOME SOME TIME RIGHT NOW TO BUILD SOME THINGS BACK UP. AND HE'S GOING TO give you a supernatural strength. He's going to let that metaphorical hair grow again. THAT STRENGTH'S GOING TO COME back as I close this morning. I had some other stuff, but it's [panting] one of my favorite prophecies in the Bible. People pay big money to go to these prophecy conferences. I believe in prophets. The Bible says there's prophets. One thing I've learned in my life, I've heard legit prophecy and I've heard a false prophecy. Okay? I'm going to show you true prophecy today. It's not me just pointing to it. Ezekiel said there would be a mighty river flow that would flow out into the desert lands. Oh, and it would bring life into the arid and the dry and the desert places. But where this river would start, it didn't start as a rush from the ocean or some mighty tributary. It said that water source flowed and started from the temple, the house of God >> where sacrifice, where praise, where worship, the presence of God was. And the Bible says from the house of God, from the temple, just a gentle flow came in. And from that gentle flow, it would meet this tributary. It would grow some here. It would hit this body of water. It would turn into this river. And as you followed it down, at first you could kind of splash around in it like a puddle. Then it became ankle deep. Then it became knee deep. Then it became waist deep. Then it became at your neck. And then you could you might have to get a life jacket to get into it. And all of that started from just a gentle flow, just a a trickle. So I want you to know this morning, maybe you entered here weak, weary, doubtful situations in your life, the accumulation of decisions, all you need today, if you'll get to this altar and say, "I just have a little I got just a little bit to give." That's all he needs. He just needs a flow. And it's going to flow out. It's going to flow out into your family. It's going to flow out into your workplace. It's going to flow out into your community. I want all those in the house that are the leaders of their family. Oh, maybe it maybe you're the children leading your family. Maybe a father or a mother. Yeah. Yes. I want some things to be different, but would you understand from me this morning that you're doing a good job? You're a good mom. You're a good dad. You're a good son. You're a good daughter. You're a good student. Has everybody DONE THINGS PERFECT? NO. Nobody has. But you're doing a good job. You're faithful. You're faithful. Oh, maybe my kids do something and I think, "Oh, I I wish I would have done this or I wish I would have done that." That's the voice of the enemy speaking regret, speaking shame. But I wonder if your voice could be even louder. I wonder if when we meet those two voices that God's word could be even louder. Oh, I just have a trickle this morning. I just have a gentle stream this morning. Oh, but I believe it's going to flow out and it's going to bring some life to some dead places. It's going to bring some sustaining nourishment to some places where there was drought. Oh, and there's going to be a river flow that no damn, no drought is going to be able to hinder. And I wonder if somebody would lift their hands and say, "Though I'm weak, I'm still anointed. Though I've made bad decisions, I'm still anointed. I'm still anointed. Just keep saying it over and over. I'm anointed. I'm anointed. I'm anointed. I wonder if you would grab a brother or sister by the hand and say, "We're anointed. We're anointed." Why don't you link up and get together this morning? >> There's still some oil flowing. There's still some oil going to flow. There's still some water in that well. There's still some water in that well. Would you dig a little deeper this morning? Would you dig just a little deeper? I'm going to put my ear to the ground. Oh, it's not a loud booming voice by God right now. It's not fire and smoke and wind. But if I put my ear to the ground, I hear just a little stream blowing. I hear just a little stream flowing. Oh, that's proof that God's not done. That's proof that God's going to make a way when there is no way. Oh, that's proof that God's going to turn out what I give into something miraculous. Oh, my voice is going to be louder. I'll see it again. You know that I you >> don't let anybody pray alone this morning. There's miracles in the house. >> There's restoration in the house. There's healing in the house. >> You're witnessing and I'm see it again. You know, I witness it. You heal it. I'll witness it. You say that I witness it. And I'm confident. I'll see it again and again. >> >> I close with this. Be reminded that the oil did not come from people. The oil comes from God. The word of God calls us to one last scene from Ezekiel. Not the throne room, not the house of God, but he brings Ezekiel to a valley of dry, dead, dusty bones. And God's word asked Ezekiel a question. And before I ask that question, I want you to be specific this morning. Because our response is going to be our praise. Our response is going to be our worship. I want each and every person to get on their mind. Or maybe you're with your spouse. A situation that is dead, dry valley of bones. Maybe it's a marriage. Maybe it's a relationship. Maybe it's a situation with your children. Maybe it's your job. I don't know the details, but you do. Get that on your mind. But God calls Ezekiel there. Ezekiel, you're a prophet. Ezekiel, you hear from God and you trust in me while you're in Babylonian exile. That's good. But I want to ask you something right now, prophet. He says, "Son of man, can these dry bones live?" SO, I'M ABOUT TO ASK YOU THAT QUESTION THIS MORNING that you're at THE VALLEY OF DRY BONES IN YOUR LIFE, WHATEVER that situation this is. And let me remind you, this is an apostolic Pentecostal church. We believe in the supernatural power of God's word. And I WANT TO ASK GOD'S PEOPLE THIS morning and let your response, let your response be your faith this morning. ARE YOU READY? SON OF MAN, CAN THESE DRY BONES LIVE? OH MIGHTY GOD, I believe they can live. Oh, I believe they're coming together. I believe the tendons ARE JOINING TOGETHER. OH MIGHTY GOD, THERE'S AN ARMY RISING UP. OH, THAT WIND OF THE Holy Spirit's just coming down over that air and dry area. Oh, there's life. THERE'S LIFE. THERE'S LIFE. WOULD YOU WORSHIP HIM? WOULD YOU GET A LITTLE BIT LOUDER? OH, let your LET YOUR PRAISE BE A LITTLE BIT LOUDER. OH, it's louder than the criticism. It's louder than the giant. It's louder than the doubt. It's louder than the skepticism. Oh, there's life coming together. There's tendons being formed. I'm still anointed. There's still a work to be done. There's still hope. There's still hope for my marriage. There's still hope for my children. There's still hope for healing. There's still hope for provision. God's going to make a way. God's going to make a way.
