Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The God of the Galaxy Is the God of You and Me

  • He takes his text from Isaiah 55:11 — so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void — after telling how a lady at the city prayer gathering, raised in Venezuela, testified that her father always used that verse and it had marked her family; Pastor Joseph Perez of the Spanish congregation also prayed at that gathering.
  • His subject: the God of the galaxy is the God of you and me — the same power that hung the cosmos has a word for whatever circumstance a person faces, and that word goes forth on a mission and will accomplish what it was sent to do.

Scriptures: Isaiah 55:11

Order Out of Chaos: Creation and the Potter

  • Genesis introduces God as unique and eternal and all-powerful, bringing order, function and beauty out of darkness and chaos by merely speaking; John echoes the praise in Revelation 4:11 — Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power, for thou hast created all things.
  • Humanity is God's creative finale, formed in his image and likeness as his representatives on the earth; over everything else God said it is good, but over man he said very good.
  • At the potter's house in Jeremiah 18 the vessel was marred in the potter's hand — the flaw was in the clay, not in the potter's hands — and the potter made it again another vessel; God does not throw the marred life away but reshapes it into something greater than it started out to be.
  • The enemy is content if a believer lives in neutral — occupying a pew and professing faith while a past mistake keeps him bound; if he can keep a person from fulfilling their calling, he claims the victory.

Scriptures: Genesis (book-only, as spoken); Revelation 4:11; Jeremiah 18:1-4

The Mess Is Not the End of the Harvest

  • Proverbs 14:4: where no oxen are, the crib is clean, but much increase is by the strength of the ox — a pristine stall produces no harvest; the disorder that comes with real work and real investment in people is proof that something is being done.
  • His favourite verse of scripture is Psalms 107:23: they that go down to the sea in ships are the ones who see the wonders of God in the deep; ankle-deep water never shows them, and the deep brings turbulence along with the wonders.
  • In Acts the believers, after persecution and their own failures, assembled together again, and the place was shaken where they were assembled together and they were filled with the Holy Ghost; the answer to dysfunction is to gather together again and be filled afresh rather than only pointing back to a past infilling.

Scriptures: Proverbs 14:4; Psalm 107:23; Acts 4:31

The Faithful God Who Keeps Covenant

  • Deuteronomy names him the faithful God which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him to a thousand generations; the words in Psalms add, my covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips; and in 2 Corinthians, all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen.
  • He tells on his own house: he and his wife pride themselves on a tidy home, but their children Callaway and Eleanor dumped the toy baskets everywhere; frustration with the mess must not become cursing the calling God has given, and those who do not get weary in well-doing will reap.
  • He opens the altar and closes in prayer and dismissal: whatever the disorder, God's word is speaking into it today and will not return void, and every covenant promise is unlocked in the name of Jesus.

Scriptures: Deuteronomy 7:8-9; Psalm 89:34; 2 Corinthians 1:20

resolution for prayer and fasting for 30 days along with the governor in the city of Knoxville and the state of Tennessee and for our country and I'm I'm grateful for uh leaders that see the impact and the need and the power for prayer and it was we had a special uh prayer service prayer meeting really in front of the city county building in and downtown Knoxville and it was just a a beautiful Gathering so many different uh voices spoke from uh so many different U churches from around uh this great City and I I believe that God's spirit truly moved we heard beautiful uh words and I was so inspired by the prayers that went forth and it it wasn't from a posture because it the it was all centered around uh praying for repentance and when you pray for repentance it takes the the the light off everybody else and it starts right here with this individual and every prayer that went forth was not a a prayer of condemnation for these wicked and evil people but it was prayers of hey anything that's going to happen in my city in my community in my school in my home it starts right here and God uh please let me turn away from my pride H he said said if you'll humble yourself and to turn towards him that he's going to heal the land he's going to heal your community he's going to heal your city and it was prayers of Hope prayers of comfort prayers of peace prayers of healing prayers of uh those who are on the road to recovery in so many different facets and I was it was a great privilege to uh take part in that and Pastor Joseph Perez of our uh premiera elaia apostolica Church uh PR prayed as well and prayed in Spanish as well for our Spanish speaking population of Knoxville and it was just a beautiful time and I believe that seeds were planted and that we're going to continue to experience a harvest from the prayer and fasting of God's people from this church and across this community amen I believe that and I drive my sermon this morning from uh a message that one of the the ladies brought she brought a a text from Isaiah 5511 and uh she said she she grew up uh the first portion of her life I believe until she was 20 in Venezuela and she talked about how uh important this verse was to her family and her father would always use this verse and it's a verse i' I'd heard before I'd read before but it just it was something special and it it really spoke to me and I prayed about it this week and I I take our text from from Isaiah 55 And1 this morning it states so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth and this is the prophet Isaiah being God's mouthpiece to the people says it shall not return unto me void but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it for a few moments this morning I'd like to minister to you from the topic the god of the galaxy is the god of you and me could you pray with me over this sermon Heavenly Father we thank you this morning Lord we enter your gates with Thanksgiving and into your courts with praise we give you our highest level of adoration and our praise and our gratitude thanking you for the opportunity and the Liberty that we have to assemble together to study your word to lift up your name to sing songs of rejoicing Lord we believe that iron sharpeneth iron and together Lord when we pray together when we give together when we worship together we believe that there's going to be a special outpouring of your love and your mercy and Grace and of your spirit father as we look into your word this morning I ask the hearers to overlook the Ina adequacies and the shortcomings of the speaker but Lord let your word be revealed and sink deep into our hearts that we put it into practice that it build our faith to know that when you speak a word it's going to accomplish what it sets out to do in the name of Jesus we pray amen the god of the galaxy is the same God of you and me there is one true God and he is the author of all creation first and foremost God brings order we spoke about this a few weeks ago but uh in the Hebrew that word for good when God said his creation was good that's uh in Hebrew that's TV toov and it means good as we understand it absent of uh evil it's pure but it also means order in function it's systematic and that's the foundation of what we speak about today God brings order God brings function and he brings Beauty out of the dark and out of the watery chaos by creating a magnificent Garden as we read about in the first book of the Bible and he creates Humanity in His image God's creation points to three essential truths first God is unique in Genesis we're introduced to the main character of The Bible God he reveals that in the beginning when he starts to create he existed before all else and God himself has no beginning and God has no ending he is eternal and he is infinite and we have these real big words that don't ask me to spell that describe his attributes his omnipresence his omnicient his uh he's omnipotent all powerful all knowing and he's everywhere and second God is all powerful Genesis depicts a scene important today to understand of Chaos of disorder the Earth was formless and empty Darkness was over the face the surface of the deep and there was a chaos a wastesson God begins his Act of Creation by bringing order and function to the Earth he creates out of nothing that would be a sermon in of itself that the God we serve can create and make and bring life to something that doesn't even exist he can create from nothing God merely speaks he speaks and everything comes into being we our key verse uh what does it say that word that goes forth it shall not return unto me void it had a mission to accomplish and we read in the story of Genesis that God m ly speaks and everything comes into being and as a result God establishes himself as The Sovereign King over all creation he has no limits of any kind and this therefore God is worthy to receive all glory and God is worthy to receive all honor and power and John would Echo and reiterate this same praise this same Jubilation this same acknowledgement 66 books later as you work your way through the beginning in Genesis all the way to the Book of Revelation from Adam to Noah to job to Abraham to Joseph from Moses to David to Elijah to Jeremiah to Ezekiel Daniel Matthew Mark Luke John Paul John the Revelator then would write in Revelation 4:11 Thou Art Worthy oh Lord to receive glory and honor and power for thou Hast cre created all things and for thy pleasure they were created and they were created this disorder this chaos received order by the spoken word of God because when his word Goes Forth it has a purpose to accomplish and it will not return empty it will not return void it does not go out in vain third human beings have have significance as God's creative finale God creates Adam and Eve humanity is the crown of God's labor because with everything else he said it's good but with God's creation of Adam and Eve he said they are very good and God personally forms man from the dust of the ground and breathes into him the breath of life and he said that's pretty good but I I think I can even do better and improve upon it so he created even Humanity's significance originates first from its relation to God and it's important to acknowledge the Lord made Adam and Eve in His image and likeness the Hebrew word for image means model and figures two or threedimensional painted or sculptured representations of something it's a physical representation that points you to some other person or deity you are the physical representation you bear the image and the likeness of your Creator God and this means that humans are commissioned as actual representatives of God you have the characteristics and the attributes and when people see your design when people see you they should see God through you as you're called to Steward and God guard God's good word on his behalf and this unique privilege of Fellowship between God and Humanity distinguishes us between all other from all other created beings the so to recap the unique God who existed before all things The God Who has no beginning or ending The God Who is eternal and infinite The God Who is all powerful the god I focus on today you focus on today that places order in the midst of chaos and he does through so by his word so shall my word that goeth forth out of my mouth it shall not somebody say that it shall not it shall not return unto me void but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing where which I sent it the God who has no limits of any kind the god that the praise team just sang about who's never lost a battle sought his most pristine creation to be you the human being and he created you in His image with his likeness and he breathed into you life he chose you and you matter to him so let this be the foundational understanding today in your life to realize that whatever impediment you may face or encounter no matter what weapon that is formed against you no matter what dire circumstance you might might find yourself in there is a word there is a word that will work in the midst of your chaos and there is a word that will inhabit that area that you're in and we have faith in this Divine inspired word that the same power that was alive in the creation that hung the galaxies and the cosmos into the existence is the same God that has a word for your situation and Circumstance as well the world was created by a word and you are proof of a word and there's a word for whatever circumstance you face and that word is not going to return void that word sinks to accomplish so shall my word that goeth forth out of my mouth he is the god of the Galaxy and he's the god of you and me Barnes in commentary on the first part of the scripture states that whatever is his design in giving the gospel it shall be accomplished that's simple enough for me that gives me enough Faith to know right there that his word in action and whatever thing that I am facing it is going to come to pass it's never been spoken in vain it never fails to produce the effect which it intends the gospel is no more preached in vain than rain that falls in vain although rain can fall on Barren rocks or or in AED Sands or extended Plains where no vegetation is produced or in the wilderness where no humanity is and seems to our eyes that it is vain that it is pointless that it is useless that it is not working to function in any single capacity there is not in vain yet it is not so God has a design in each drop that falls on the sand or the Rocks also in the design on the copious showers that fall on fields that are fertile and so the gospel often falls in the hard and Barren hearts of humanity it is addressed to the proud it is addressed to the sensual it is addressed to the unbelieving and sometimes it is spoken even in vain but it will not return void unto God there is not one time God's worth ever Goes Forth out of your mouth out of your walk with God that it is ever going to remain empty or voidless it's in action it has power and it works and that's why we're here this morning that's why we assemble together not just to go through some ritual or just to see my family and sit on a Pew but uh we come because there's situations in our life that I've got to have strength and I've got to have comfort and I've got to have healing and sometimes we find oursel in situations where they get even more desperate where were saying God if you don't do something right now if you don't make a way when there is no way right now but God has a word God has a word and it will not return void he has some design in it it will be accomplished and it is proof of the fullness of his Mercy in the book of Jeremiah we read a notable story many songs and many names of churches even derive himself from the name of this story and passage in Jeremiah chapter 18 verse1 states the word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord the spoken word saying arise and go down to The Potter's House and notice it says and there will I cause thee to hear my words about to hear a word a word that's not going to go out empty a word that has a mission a word that has a direction a word that's going to accomplish a specific purpose then I went down to the partner's house and behold he wrought a work on the wheels and I thought I was going to see some smoke and some some fire and God just do something absolutely mindblowing and I found myself at The Potter's House and rather the Potter was simply conducting business as usual and the initial symbolic action here is intriguing that it was not the action Jeremiah performed but rather what he was about to observe in and of itself The Potter's work was not much out of the ordinary there was no sense in Jeremiah that the prophet was observing some unusual or marvelous circumstance but as it's been said sometimes the Supernatural is indeed just that superal natural as was to happen in the process of a Potter's work the vessel became marred it became impaired it became disfigured in the hand of the Potter the text makes a subtle but important part here it was not the clumsy hands of the Potter that created the imperfection in the vessel rather the skillful work of the Potter revealed a flaw already Pleasant present in the lump of clay Jeremiah did not relate the precise nature of this flaw but by inference We Gather that the flaw was significant enough that the Potter could no longer continue on making the vessel that he intended to make the thing that he first initially set out to make he got to a certain point and he was no longer able to continue forward and this introduces this type of dramatic tension to the reader we started out it's kind of going to The Potter's House and see a Potter work and rought on a will but now I'm intrigued this master Artisan who's now making this creative formation on a wheel I mean he was really going at it and it was really coming to life but he got to a particular point and he could no longer continue on it leaves us to briefly wonder what is the Potter going to do next will he simply throw out that lump of clay and find another without dire flaws that would seem to be both obvious and the easiest solution it seems we are meant to it seems we are so meant to hear not of surprise then in the prophet's next words when he stated so he made it again as another vessel as seemed good to the Potter to make it man if it was me doing that I would have probably just thrown away that lump of clay thrown it out the window maybe got mad said a few words repented of course after that and just got another work of clay but this Potter even though it was disfigured even though there was disorder to it there even though he would had been met with a a level of Chaos in his creation I'm going to have to rework this a little bit but I I think I can still use it he noticed the Potter's patience as he shaped the clay carefully and gracefully the Potter was very meticulous pertaining to the vessel because he wanted it to be the best that it could be he wanted it to be greater than what it started out as he wanted to be greater then it was initially set forth to be and even when the vessel had deficiencies and even when the vessel had issues and even when the vessel had flaws or even in other words it was Mar or in pieces the Potter continued to work through those issues and the issues might have been self-inflicted to the vessel or it might have been broken by somebody else and not any even fault of its own but the point is the vessel was marred and the the Potter didn't just throw it away he began to work and he began to meticulously shape and at the precise moment when it looked like the lump of clay was bound only for rejection when it looked like the lump of clay was bound only for Destruction the Potter was able to save it by transforming it into something allog together different whether this flaw was self-inflicted or the master said I can make something even better than what you are we don't know but what I do know is that whatever I'm facing I am in the hands of the Potter I might not always understand it it might not always make sense it might be illogical it might be unorthodox and sometimes that reshaping is not so much fun it's not fun to be broken it's not comfortable to have your world torn apart but I believe there's a word that goes forth in the midst of your chaos and if you'll have faith in that Covenant promise that the same God that you serve can speak life into existence can speak the world into existence he can speak right into whatever you're facing he can speak right into your trouble he can speak right into your broken pieces oh and it took a little bit of time and it took some faith and it took me walking kind of blind and not knowing where I was going but all of the sudden right up out of the Clay comes a vessel a vessel that was even greater than the expectations that I have a vessel that was designed by the master potter something greater something reinvented something that by our standards would have been meant for Destruction but he brought order out of chaos when somebody clap their hands this morning I wonder if somebody would worship as a personal testimony and think about a time in their life where God the master Potter the master just met you right there in your chaos he met you right there in in you're distress and you know that you would only be here it because it was him I was met with destruction I was met to be throw out I don't deserve to be where I'm at now but because of God's mercy because of God's grace I now have a [Applause] future I'm created into something new the enemy would tell you that because of something that you did or because oh the Potter was working in you something came up crack in the vessel ow something happened in your life that you're no longer going to be able to move forward past that don't forget that Satan is the great compromiser and he is content he claims Victory he is satisfied if you live your life and neutral and idle if you will live your life still occupy a Pew or still proclaim a certain level of faith it claimed Victory when you're not living up to those visions that you've seen when you're praying and reaching out to God and he claims Victory when you just kind of throw things in to neutral and if he can oppress your mind with a mistake that you've made or something in your past to keep you bound up he'll let you take a few steps forward but if you take that next step the enemy comes knocking at your door and says uh yeah but there I know you want to be this but don't you forget what took place in your life don't don't for do you forget that disfigurement of that mistake that you made and uh don't you forget that you you you can't be created anymore if he can keep you from fulfilling your calling in Christ then he can prevent you from the blessings and the promises that God has for you we hear that term in our life a a midlife crisis and regrettably I might be getting to the age where I could Proclaim it maybe the midlife Port if I'm being honest but many of us need to have a midlife Revelation that he cast your sins to the inestimable and infinite distance from from the East to the west and he remembers them no more so I say all that to say this if there's something plaguing your mind from your past if there's voices in your head that say I can't be this I can't do that I'm not talented enough to do this I could never do that this is never going to work out for me because I did thus and so you need to get a hold of God's word in your life and not not listen to the words that are coming out of your mouth or the words that are being whispered by the enemy in your ear you have Victory the word has Prosperity the word has blessings that you do not even have room enough to receive and you can re you can live a Victorious Life you can live a Victorious Life when you get the promises of God the word of God in the midst of those broken pieces in your life the Creator God has for given you and he wants to bring that order out of the chaos and when you think you've messed everything up when you think you've created chaos when you think that yeah the probably the right thing to do is for me to be destroyed and thrown out and something else should take place that's when the master Potter says oh no no no no no no no let me work this a little bit let me reshape this a little bit and I'm going to create something even greater Proverbs 14 and4 says where no oxen are the crib is clean but much increase is by the strength of the ox the crib and stable may be easily kept clean where there are few or no oxen but there's quite a bit of Advantage arising from killing the ground to have these resources available now to have that stall full of oxen it's going to take some work it's going to take some uh getting up pretty early it's going to take some some grooming and feeding and and helping them when they're sick and sometimes they're going to fight with each other and sometimes the odor is not going to be so great sometimes the weather's going to be bad and sometimes it's going to keep you from eating dinner and sometimes it's going to keep you from going on vacation because you've got a stall full of oxin now there's a solution for that and you could have the most prestine stable that there is every stall just meticulously clean but don't you expect to have much of a harvest don't expect to have your business very long the word says it's better to have a plenty of oxen that might litter than to have great neatness without them some interpretation talks about this as the constant neatness of a home or a workplace or even in the context to the church in literal cleanness uh or just the interpersonal relationships that we have with our family and the people that we work with and the people we go to church with and the people in our community now there's there's a way not to ever have any miscommunication there there's a way to not have any conflicts with your family that's by not to have one you know somebody said amen no did you know children will wake you up in the middle of the night we'll get to that in a second but where there is much business done and many persons coming and going there will be necessarily often times less cleanliness and neatness there's no Kentucky Derby winners with a pristine neat stall it it it took some work to get them where they are there there's no Harvest without you know there's going to be some mess and some stress and some disorder that comes along with it and this is so applicable to every single person in Ministry and which is every single one of you all the greatest sermon ever preached is by the life lived by his people out doing what it is you do in your vocations and the way you treat each other and the way you treat uh people you're making these invisible God visible manifest through his image bear you and we understand this but sometimes things get difficult sometimes things get stressful sometimes things get disorder sometimes you'll invest in people invest in family take a chance on a friend and things just don't work out you are trying to do what God called you to do and for whatever reasons things just seem arve but remember there's not much being done if the crib is clean there's you watch the uh documentaries on these Championship sports teams and you go behind the scenes and you know there's all kind of uh conflict from practices and injuries that take place and the next person's got to step up and all of these things go together it's not just a happy go lucky Kumai yall as we walk in across the Finish Line sometimes things turn into a mess they turn into chaos and they turn into chaos not because you were being sinful or not because you did something that you shouldn't or not because you weren't trying to be a good example to your family but you were trying to work and you were trying to invest and uh you don't know why your kids did that you don't know why your family did that you don't know why by this or that happened and you were trying to do what God called you to do and but all around you chaos let that chaos be proof though that you're doing what God called you to do and there's there there's something greater on down the on down the road those oxen that you're having to take care of in the morning and the night time and to to feed and to put up with the stench and to con stantly clean up after them there there there it's healing of the ground there's eventually going to be a harvest come those children that you train and you're taken care of and those relationships that you invest in I I just believe there's a a word that can go forth that if you won't get weary and well-doing that you're going to reap if you faint not my favorite verse of scripture Psalms 107:23 it says they that go down to the sea in ships these are the ones that experience his W the wonders of God out in the Deep you're not going to catch a great huge amount of fish with an ankle deep water up at the shore you're you're not ever going to find the the treasures that lay out into the deep if you're just waiting and a waste deep water but you've got to get out into the ship and when you get out into those deep Waters you're going to experience some some higher turbulence if you will and sometimes sometimes those waves are going to crash even harder and sometimes you're not even going to know where you're at and while you're trying to do good and while your skills are are being put to the test we can find ourselves frustrated of God I thought you called me to do this but there's waves crashing into my boat and God I I'm doing what you trained me to do but my God I don't even know where I'm at out here but he said that if you'll get out into the deep water if you if you walk by faith then you're going to be the one that experiences my wonders in the Deep because I've got a word I got a word that'll bring order in the chaos of your situation oh there might be some disorder in your life yeah it could be self-inflicted or it could be because of your investment but I'm not here to prophesy on the why because frankly I have no idea I'm just reading God's word to you to know that whatever ever you're facing whatever the broken pieces are whatever the mess is whatever the chaos is the same God that created this world the same God that spoke out and said let there be light is the same God that's working in your situation and when he begins to speak his word's not going to become void when he begins to speak that word is set forth on a mission when he begins to speak when you get the word of God in your life it's going to accomplish the mission that it set out to look at Jesus and his disciples they fell asleep on the job they argued over who was the best they jockeyed for position they lied about knowing him and one of them eventually betrayed him and you can read the book of Acts they were persecuted and they also couldn't get along at times but we read in Acts four they assemble together again and receive that's what I've got to do every single day I've got to I've got to assemble together again I the the place was shaken where they were assembled together and they were filled with the Holy Ghost this wasn't the day of Pentecost that we celebrate uh per se is the outpouring of God's spirit but it's two chapters later after a bunch of mess had taken place after persecution and this one fighting with this one and this not not getting along with this one and this one saying these people should be serving while I'm not serving and and this one arguing over who's baptizing but it says they came together again and the Holy Ghost was poured out of them if there's some dysfunction in your family maybe your marriage or whatever that relationship looks like you'll assemble together again and let that Holy ho ghost to fall upon you I believe that it can do a mighty mighty work maybe at your job there's some some people that you've got great conflict with you you don't understand why she's always late and she uh always takes advantage of the time and I I'm trying to do my best and it's just my or my boss is thus and so or I'm I'm or maybe you lost job I I don't know the circumstance but I know and I believe that there is a solution if you'll gather together again I preached a message one time called a second wind because sometimes we will only point back to that time when we receive the Holy Ghost and the infilling and indwelling of his Spirit by evidence of speaking in other tongues and yes it's important to celebrate that and yes it's a notable event in your life but yeah I if I were you I would keep going back because I need his Spirit every single day I need his spirit in every single situation Lord let me gather myself together again with your people and I believe that you're going to pour your spirit out once again to some things I don't understand to some conflict I have in my family or some conflict I have at my workplace or conflict I have at school whatever the case his spirit is the solution we can find ourself frustrated in the everyday life as I told you earlier about keeping that stall clean if you will my wife and I like to pride ourselves on having a oh my it's C of my wife I won't lie don't strike me with light good still good have a having a nice tidy home everything in place and in order maybe even alphabetized that times you know but our beautiful children aren't always don't always have the same Mission and end goal with that uh mission statement of our home if you will and yesterday was one of those on fortunate times where seemingly we have this playroom that has two big baskets of toys that that should keep a a child entertained for at least a few weeks it kept our children's attention for about 10 seconds and that 10 seconds that it kept their attention was because they took these two tubs and had just dumped them out everywhere being amen the being the disciplinarians that we are we said if you ever do that again we're going to throw all of those toys in the trash that sure I teach school I know how to do these things right we'll throw them all in the trash and it took a second but Callaway or two-year-old he finally broke and he was crying and don't throw our toys in the trash know how to do this and then Elanor she just turned five and she started lamenting the same hym of don't throw our toys in the trash and we're just kind of like yeah we got him well a few moments later that disappointment turned into anger and Callaway said you're bad and I said no you're bad he said no you're bad I said no you're bad and then he said you're bad big head to which I replied if you say that again yeah I'm going to give you a spanking to which Eleanor Whispers over to him Daddy won't really give you a spanking he'll just talk to you real serious I'm like thank you God I need a word in this chaos but we can find oursel frustrated we can find ourself weary we can find oursel cursing I don't think I did that I don't think I did that we can find oursel cursing the very calling that God has placed on our life because of those oh so blessings that we love at times and yes we do but I wouldn't trade when you think about the the moments that those children give you and the the moments that you're praying for as they get older and the responsibility that God's given to you I wouldn't trade that for just a sec for for even one moment but we've got to remember in every situation the bigger picture the large your scope that God has a calling on your life and don't forget sometimes that stall is going to get messy sometimes that stall is going to just be like filth and I just cleaned this yesterday and I I don't know why it looks like that today but just know that if you won't get weary and well-doing there's going to be a mighty Harvest I believe eventually those children are going to getting older and hopefully they're going to take care of me and every one of you can think of those circumstances in in your life where you was brought about by frustration but you're so glad that you didn't surrender throw in the towel or give up on this individual because God continued to move and God continued to work and you look back and you say thank you Father thank you Lord for bringing order it wasn't as fast as I was hoping you would do it it was a lot more uncomfortable than I anticipated but I'm thankful that you're a God who has a word that's not going to return void musicians if you would come note the words in Deuteronomy the faithful God everybody say faithful God man there's something about saying that out loud the faithful God which keepeth Covenant in Psalms we read my Covenant will I not break nor alter that thing that is gone out of my lips that same God who created this world through his word is the same God who has a word in whatever you're facing when God covenants with us we can depend on him for he is constant in his dealings in the New Testament in the book of 2 Corinthians we read for all the promises of God are in in him yay and in him amen Under The Glory by us glory of God by us God said his keeps his Commandments to a thousand Generations if a generation is 30 years that would be 30,000 years and obviously Moses did not mean to place that God's covenant promises had any expiration date but he used the phrase a thousand generations to indicate an indeterminable amount of time this illust ated by the fact that this 21st century God still honors the ancient Covenant he made with Abraham Isaac and Jacob and because the Lord loved you and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand know therefore that the Lord thy God he is God he is the faithful God which keepeth Covenant and mercy with them that keep his Co Covenant to a thousand Generations the old hymn by Thomas chisom said great is thy faithfulness Great Is Thy Faithfulness morning by morning new mercies I see all I have needed thy hand hath provided Great Is Thy Faithfulness Lord unto me stand with me this morning our King is eternal our King is Immortal because God is immutable in the Eternal his attributes and his characteristics do not change that means the same God I'll reiterate one more time that spoke the world and life into existence is the same God still speaking into your life he can take broken pieces together he can take M clay but guess what we've got biblical precedent that he can also create out of absolutely nothing when he speaks he can do whatever he wants to and he's got a word for your life he can speak existence Out of Nothing the Same God of the Galaxy who spoke order from chaos is ready to speak to you today so what are some of the things what are some of the words that God promised Pro he said if you'll search for me then I'll be found he said I'm the Lord that will never fail he said if you'll turn to me and pray and seek my face then you're going to hear from heaven and I'm going to heal your land he said I'll comfort you in the midst of Trials that's his his word if you need a word in the midst of your chaos this is his Covenant promise for his creation you he said for I know the plans that I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you the Lord is faithful he said I am faithful and I will strengthen you and protect you he said my Mercy's never come to an end there knew every morning he said Peace I leave with you and peace I give you and peace that passes even your understanding he said I'll give you a r of strength he said I'll ever be your everpresent help in a time of trouble and he said and and know this he said you're going to need to know this that all things oh they're empty words when I say it it don't make much sense if I think about it on my own if I say it but it's God worthy he said in all things I'm going to work for the good of those that have faith in me I'm going to work for the good of those that love me I'm going to send angels to protect you I'm a God that never sleeps or Slumbers I'm a God that's go that can heal your body I am a God that can send you rain in the midst of a drought he he said what I started with you that walk that you begun with me I I'm going to be with you there to finish it I I'm going to supply all your needs according to your riches and Glory he said I'll never leave you nor forsake you and I close with this forsake in the Greek consists of three Greek words in down and to leave thus it carries the idea of the circumstance in which a person finds themsel down in a helplessness and uh to leave means forsaken in a helpless place the implication is that God will never abandon us but will always come to our rescue but the Greek in this translation uses five negative words in this quote so properly interpreted it would be read like this I will never never never never never five times leave you or forsake you I I don't know about you but I like that translation I will never never never never never leave you or forsake you would you lift your hands across this place and I want that I'm going to go ahead and I was going to pray a a specific prayer but I'm going to go ahead and open this altar right now because if you've got some disorder in your life if there's some chaos in your life would you be assured today as you step forward to this altar to know that you serve a god whose word is speaking into your life your faithful testimony of being in the house of God today is proof that you believe and when you step forward today I believe God's going to give you a special Touch of comfort and peace in your life and I believe that word is going to go not in vain but it's got something to accomplish oh it's it's going to to bring some rain in the midst of a drought it's going to flourish in the midst of an arid area oh I believe that God's word has a mission today and if you'll put it to action he's ready to speak into it I'm praying God yes Jesus turn this thing around God turn it aroundus God turn it around turn it around he can put the pieces together and he can create out of on the day yes Jesus Lord give somebody changes everything give them strength today going to feel you situation that I fac that you have a word and you have a promise and it's on a mission and it's going to do some transforming it's going to turn some things around and it's not going to be void Lord I as we lift every need and petition up to heaven today Lord we know that we're praying to the one who can speak order in the midst of chaos whether it's broken pieces or whether you're creating something brand new out of absolutely nothing that's the faith we have today and all of our hope and all of our faith is in that name that unlocks every one of these covenantal promises that name that's above every name that name of Jesus as we close would you shout out that name of Jesus just for a moment Jesus Jesus Jesus oh I'm unlocking every promise Jesus oh your word's alive in my circumstance Jesus chains begin to break Jesus Lord we thank you and we praise you and would you clap your hands to the King of Kings and the Lord of lords I would invite you as you exit here today go
