Wednesday Evening Worship & Bible Study

praise the Lord everyone I would like to give honor to the Lord Jesus Christ the head of this great church of which we are privileged to be members and we greet all of you tonight in that wonderful name that is above every name the Bible says God has given a highly exalted him and given him a name that is above every name and I'm so glad that I know that name I have a little feature I have been using and I hope you are enjoying it it's called 50 years of memories and probably everything I read some of you have heard it at one time or another but this will refresh your memory this is broken up in short chapters and thanks to brother Derek Daniel who somehow kept this and I didn't I forget I'd forgotten about it really and he called my attention to it and I said who wrote that he said you did well uh I don't know how he got all the pictures but uh as we read this uh he's going to be showing some of the pictures that I'll be talking about and this chapter uh is entitled I became a father I became a father I you will those of you who attend regularly on Wednesday night and I I want to say this I think every child of God uh should attend bible study on Wednesday night that's not a fill-in Time if you're interested in in Walking with God you need to be interested in attending Bible class and this is a Bible class and we want to give our attention to the the word of God and this is the little feature I talked about unable to raise the money to put in a septic tank we had the pink trailer pulled to Charlotte do anybody remember last week or when I read about the uh the pink trailer that we put in brother McKinney's yard and we intended to put it in a septic tank when we got the money and that's when we became restroom inspectors you remember that unable to raise the money to put in a septic tank we had the pink trailer pulled to Shaolin trailer park on Clinton Highway just north of Knoxville it was a beautiful trailer park at that time it's decayed since then but it was a great it was great living in a mobile home with a restroom that worked a note of interest in the trailer park we lived next door to later to be famous entertainer Don Gibson of the Grand Ole Opry also living close by were Bonnie Lou and Buster I guess struggling preachers and struggling entertainers have a way of learning how to live cheap November 10 1958 I was prepared to go to work on the church and sister McCool started having labor pains we went by the church and I informed the brothers I would not be working with them that day much later that day as a matter of fact did you did you see the picture sister McCool on the screen thank you brother Derek as a matter of fact at 9 14 that night our son Marc Anthony was born I remember when the nurse brought him to the door of the delivery room and showed him to me I said are you sure he's mine are you absolutely sure he's mine I'd heard of babies getting mixed up at the at Birth and I said are you sure he's mine are you absolutely sure he's mine I thought he was too pretty and Too Perfect to be mine do you see him today he's a great man of God an Apostolic preacher and our pastor and to me that is preferable to being the president of the United States of America yes I thought he was just too pretty and Too Perfect to be mine after all these years I still feel that way about him he's the greatest man of God that I know of what a great leader and great pastor we have of this church I want to say that I hope you don't get tired of hearing me Pastor Mark McCool and sister Jamie and all what two children they have raised and oh what wisdom they're uh their grandchildren became or or their children became and what great spouses they have when the nurse took him away I stood there in amazement and almost stunned I rushed to the phone and called my father in Pontiac Michigan when dad answered the phone I said excitedly Dad it's a boy he weighs 19 pounds and he weigh and he's 36 inches long dad said Son wait a minute if he's that big he's almost as big as you actually he was 19 inches long and weighed six pounds 12 and a half ounces but when you are a new father the facts are a little fuzzy we'll get to that next chapter next week tonight we're going to continue our study the study tonight I'm calling it overview highlights and review making a difference and if you have been attending the Bible study uh you will know where we're coming from and where we're going in the book of Jude the first chapter and we're going to review and give highlights and Skip uh hop skip and jump through this lesson um Jude one and three Jude the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James I made a point about that Jude the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James well if he's the brother of James he was the half-brother of Jesus but he never mentioned that he only called himself the servant of Jesus Christ and I asked the question why did Jude address himself as servant of Jesus Christ if he was the brother of James he would have made him the brother of Jesus the answers found in Matthew 12 46. while he yet talked with the people behold his mother and his Brethren stood without Desiring to speak with him then one said unto him Behold thy mother and thy Brethren stand without Desiring to speak with thee but he answered and said unto them that told him who's he said unto them that told him who is my mother and who are my brethren and his stretched forth his hand toward the disciples and said behold my mother and my brethren for whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven the same as my brother my sister and my mother now there is no higher position than being a servant of Jesus Christ now Pastor Whitley a few weeks ago read from this and he taught on being a servant and and I want I want you folks to understand tonight hardly you ever stand on this platform or not whether you ever carry a toddler of any kind or not the greatest title you can have as being a servant of Jesus Christ and Jesus made it plain when his mother and his brother were stood without and wanting to see him and they went in those who had access to him and they said your your mother and your brothers want to talk so who is my mother my brother and then he pointed tonight he could point to First Apostolic Church 50 20 Pleasant Ridge Road and said he could say my mother and my brethren my sisters there they are because whosoever doeth the will of God so I want to reiterate and and and I would like to give you um a super uh capacity of understanding how important you are in the kingdom of God to be a servant of Jesus Christ yes you you just you just don't know how important you are um I heard a true story there was a very rich man in in England he was very rich and very quite old he only had one child a son and he enlisted in the the the Royal Air Force of uh of England and he uh got shot down during the war and was killed in the war that was the only son that the this rich man had as a matter of fact the only error he had uh when the when the rich man died uh they they called he had his will all made out and they call that uh I can't think of the name of that uh there but there's a very famous Auction Company in in England uh that's known worldwide except to everybody but me when I can't I can't pronounce it don't can't say what it was but anyway they were in charge of the auction and people came from everywhere because this this fella had a great array of artwork very expensive exclusive artwork and many valuable things worth many millions of dollars and when the auctioneer started the auction he said ladies and gentlemen I must inform you that the will says that this picture right over here and of course there was some fabulous artwork this picture right over here has to be the first one sold so we're going to sell this picture here first well it was a very common picture as some unknown uh unskilled painter had painted a picture of his son that had died in the war been shot down and he said I can't sell anything else until this picture is sold and he started auctioning and there were not hardly anybody interested in that picture and they was anxious to get on with the auction and there was a servant of the old man that had served him many years earlier and he knew that boy that was killed in that been shot down and he thoughts just nobody else that would be kind of nice since he knew the boy he would love to he'd like to have that that picture so he bid on the the picture was not able to give a a big price for it but he he bought it the auctioneer tried to sell it but that was sold and he sold it to that servant and then the auctioneer said ladies and gentlemen this auction is over silence fell on the crowd he said the will stated that whoever buys the picture of this man's son gets everything else and the auction is over saints of God when you get the Sun you get it all when you get the sun you get it all if you are truly a servant of Jesus Christ you get it all no matter what the title is this was a servant and that was a true story incidentally if you are a servant of Jesus Christ tonight whether your name is never ever mentioned from this Pulpit or anyplace else because one day he's going to say Well done thou good and faithful servant you've been Faithful over a few things and I'm going to make your ruler over many oh so being a servant of Jesus Christ is the most important thing for whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven the same is my brother my sister and my mother there is no higher position than being the servant of Jesus Christ and then Jude verse 2 said Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied there's a there's a little something that I I catch myself writing a sister uh we I get blessed uh with the with pictures uh online of Eleanor our little great granddaughter and um I find myself losing words saying cute sweet pretty and Lovely isn't that nice but sometimes when Kelly sends us the picture I have to say lover multiplied ten thousand and that don't say at all multiplied ten thousand well this sounds like what Jude were saying Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied I want to tell you something the reason I talk about you folks like I do it's because there's not enough words in my vocabulary to really set all other than say I love you times ten thousand and I just noticed this as a matter of fact today Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied I want you to know God's family just loves and loves and keeps on loving and keeps on multiplying their love beloved when I gave all diligence to writing to you of the common salvation and we talked about this but let me reiterate as we're talking about the highlights it sounds like Jude wanted to write uh kind of like Peter did Acts 2 38 and a lot of the other uh Evangelistic scriptures but he said when I gave all diligence to write you concerned the common salvation it was needful for me to write a new things exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the Saints it now what's it sounds like happened this wasn't just a normal problem were something very powerful had slipped into the church and was attacking the church from within by by criticism and giving a false Doctrine and there was somebody that had special influence that was causing damage to the church and he said that when I wanted to write the common salvation I found a need for to exhort you to earnestly contend now we we can witness but there's something different about this I I find it important to admonish you to earnestly contend now we have folks in in this church that you don't talk against the church to them because they won't they won't listen to it Sister Sister Betty Richmond was working at a little uh Minute Market out here north of town at a politician came in I love to call his name but uh he referred to that Pastor of First Apostolic Church as a shyster well it seemed like most preachers earned that name at some title or another I'm not exclusive uh owner of that title because uh some folks think that that's all preachers are but when he said that sister Betty Richmond almost came over the counter after him said wait just a minute I want you to know that's my pastor and he's no shyster he's been watching after my family for however many years it was back then 40 years have been of course it's over 50 now and and she set him straight well now I'm not advocating you to get all excited with anybody but I would much rather have someone that would stand up for their pastor and for their church and for the Saints in the church you don't talk against the Saints of God you don't talk against one another if you speak about the saints of God you need to speak kindly and affectionately toward them so he was this was a special group that had got inside he said for there are certain men unawares who were of old ordained to this condemnation turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness there are certain not everybody does this but there were certain men and you need to be able to recognize certain men now I'm gonna well we're hitting some highlights now and I want you to remember this I'm giving you a test tonight I'm going to ask some questions but I'm going to ask you to answer them I don't put anybody on the spot in the Pulpit to embarrass you I'll ask the question then I'll I'll help you answer it um but these uh these are certain men he said that they had turned the grace of God into lasciviousness now lasciviousness means lewd and lustful uh and I I point my finger at no certain ones but there are those today that's coming to the front and on the scene that are preaching Grace covers everything and it does if you repent but they're preaching it in a in a false way that you can be doing the grace covers it whatever you do and and it's a a license for lasciviousness and you need to be able to recognize that you can hear them preach on TV you can hear them preach online you can hear them preaching the red you can and turning the grace of God into lasciviousness instead of condemning sin they are using grace to to try to point out that whatever you do is covered by grace I fear that many are doing just that using grace as an opportunity to practice lewd and lustful Behavior misusing the word Grace the fact seems to be a great concern of Jude this seems to be Jude's aim to have instructions on how to make a difference and dealing with a reprobate and someone who needs love and gentle persuasion now everybody is not a reprobate everybody that's not living for God is not a reprobate there are folks that have just not yet come to the Lord and and there are folks that if they the goodness of God leads men to repentance and if a soft gentle kind word was spoken they can be won but the reprobate is not going to be won by a soft gentleman voice because they know they're wrong they know they're wrong and let me quote uh uh brother Alan MacMillan and I'll not read all I read before it's unfortunately many church leaders is using grace to allow for an extremely worldly lifestyle Peter and his epistle tells us to quote show forth the Praises of him who called us out of Darkness Into His Marvelous Light my fear is some pastors and church leaders are leading many deeper into what the power of the Cross and the blood of Jesus delivered them from all this to feed fleshly desires please I'm the least of any believers and nowhere close to perfect but stop playing games with the grace of God and embrace the power of the Holy Ghost for a real and meaningful life change now at this point last week I read from my twin brother's book uh Bobby double trouble for the devil and he talked about the day that he and I lived through a movement that came through and it was it became known as a letter reign of the Full Gospel business men's association was formed from this uh some prominent businessmen uh got to praying in the motel room and they got the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues and um I believe his name was Cheryl wrote a book entitled they speak with tongues or they speak with other tongues and he uh he he uh wrote the book about this movement of people starting to get the Holy Ghost and since they were businessmen and well respected and many of them were members of denominal churches it began to spread and other people when when somebody of reputation and means uh gets an experience it has an uh an influence on others and it begins to scatter and spread now with way back many years ago and uh it turned out to be many churches or many cities begin to develop um uh branches of this movement and they would rent motel rooms and have their own prayer meeting and all from the Catholics on to the uh every denomination just about there were people that were meeting and were getting the Holy Ghost well that became known as the latter rain what else could it be but besides a lot of rain because George said in the last day saith God I'll pour out of my spirit upon All Flesh your sons and your daughters shall prophesy your old man will dream dreams young men shall say vision and upon my servants and handmaids will I pour out my spirit saith the Lord well that began to scatter and spread when it became a movement called the latter rain but then as this began to spread folks begin to lose their um the realization of needing a church and a pastor and Leadership they were doing quite well without a structured Church and also there was no one to uh to give them any instructions about how you're to live how you're to dress how you attracted how you're to behave so it it became a very Loosely knit thing and uh folks actually became almost anti-church and began to change churches names drop the name Church to give it give it some a generic name instead of a church don't want to call it a call it something else and it won't carry the stigma of of church a lot of people are against Church well uh and and along with that came loose living worldly living uh worldly lifestyle and and that was called out of rain now Bobby likened it to the the modern day charismatic movement and he all he said this is very very similar and many of the people God Drew back and from even uh allowing the great Holy Ghost to move because they did not want to be classed as latter rain are you am I making any sense to anybody to anybody you see what I'm talking about well I fear that the day we're living in right now it has become very acceptable excuse me for for preachers a super casual not only casual but downright and bedraggled you know it looks like the preacher's coming out in his pajamas and and every one of them you see they got the shirt Tails hanging out and heard a preacher the other day I heard him he said my my people they never see me in a suit of clothes he said I never wear a suit unless I'm going to something special wow I told I looked at my wife I said did you hear what I heard he said my people never see me in a suit and he he had his shirt tail hanging out and and blue jeans or whatever not just beauty of course blue jeans cost more than a suit anymore but but he was he was not only dressed casual but he was absolutely dressed down and he said I never wear a suit my people never see me unless I'm going to something special pray tell me is there anything more special than the house of God am I preaching tonight that you need to wear a suit to church and absolutely not that is not what I'm saying at all but if I go to the doctor uh I I put on a suit of clothes and system of cool and I have and I'm I'm I'm dealing with a delicate situation now I got to be careful because it'll sound like I'm I'm bragging on myself and I'm I'm not but I guess when you're brought up like I was you kind of privileged so dress up sometime but what I'm saying I've had so many times what was the lady that said the other day at that business office um she she said I was what did she call me uh you're uh set before I can hear it spiff you know it wasn't spiffy um well never mind it was it it meant you look nice and fashionable it's what what she said well I often tell them I I dress according to the way I feel about the situation um we had a way we we had a a wedding rehearsal one time and the young man came dressed in a t-shirt wasn't dressed up at all and and and um was having a wedding rehearsal and he was a young man and and back then I was more Brazen and I had more braids I had I had more brass than brains I guess but um I looked and I said listen you go home and put you on a white shirt or shirt dress and get that you're you're getting married and you need to present yourself to that future bride in a different way and I made him go and of course I yeah I don't talk to folks like that anymore you know but uh that's but I felt that way that he wasn't showing proper respect for his his future bride and the next day or two he's going to be her husband well and and again boy I am not and if you think I'm talking that you gotta that you gentlemen sitting there in a in a sports shirt a short sleeve shirt and I'm no absolutely not I think you're perfectly dressed absolutely perfectly dressed but I don't feel like if I was up here in a short sleeve shirt and blue jeans my shirt tail hanging out I don't believe I would be appropriately dressed uh that's just the way I feel about it the the priest in the Bible they they were dressed in a certain type dress brother Carpenter preached out our general accomplished Tethered to tradition and it told about the the priests they had a blue ribbon around their their their garment and told her how they were dressed and he said that blue ribbon was not for other people that was to keep the priests reminded of who he was there's some things that keeps me reminded that I am God shall I'm an Apostolic and and I'm your pastor or I'm your Bishop Pastor Mark is your pastor and Pastor Anthony and Pastor Nate Whitley so I hope I'm getting this through to you because somebody will get I feel bad and I have an awful lot of folks man so I don't have any good good clothes to wear to church and I no if you didn't have anything but ragged now the first sermon I preached I preached wearing a pair of overalls and a red flannel shirt hanging on the outside of the overalls to make it look like I was wearing blue jeans I didn't I want to hide the galluses I wore one of my daddy's neckties I taken that old red flannel syrup and personally embroidered around the color of that uh red shirt with the with the yellow thread and I had a red shirt and the pocket and you talk about Pride I guess I could condemn me for Pride but I was a farm boy and I'd borrowed one of my dad's neckties I tied one way and it would hang down one end would be all right and the other end would hang down to my knees tied another way the other was going to hang down my knees and so uh and the the knock would be bigger than my fist and of course that wouldn't have been very big when you're 11 years old and I took the long end of that necktie and stuffed it in that red flannel shirt and had on overalls so they didn't and that night I got up to testify and I never had any idea about getting to preach I took over the service and I preached they said an hour and 45 minutes but I think it was 45 minutes to see or 15 minutes felt like an hour and 45 or whatever that the time don't matter but uh brother Bob he kept pointing to me and I I thought he was liking the way I was dressing them well during that sermon that long end of that necktie I was hanging out and was swinging like a plowline but it didn't bother it didn't bother me if I'm preaching and I guess what I'm trying to get across um I'm not preaching that you've got to dress up to go to church um the first the first uh manual we put out uh a dress code for the choir does anybody remember that anybody adventure of a little hand raised if you remember that little book now if you remember it said your hair can't be over your shoulders it's you got to be trimmed and and it was just a good little book well actually what it was jlam worked at uh McDonald's and that was at a McDonald's manual for their dress code for their workers back then and I borrowed that that uh little book from from Jay lamb and I took parts of that and and that's because it was just simply good teaching every parent needs to teach their children the the proper dress well so be it so be it I I better leave it alone and get onto something else all right unfortunately many church leaders using grace to allow worldly lifestyle and I mentioned brother Bob and um now let me get on to something else now between the the the verses uh one two three four five down to uh verse 19. uh Jude mentions one one thing and he's got some examples that said uh the father he said between between the above verses and verse 19 Jude cites for negative examples the Fallen Angels the Israelites who were delivered from Egypt and later destroyed Cain that slew his brother Abel Balaam that had the dog a talking donkey and Cora the man that came up against Moses and and Aaron and the Earth opened up and swallow now there was somebody Mighty bad in the church that he could compare to this he had he had some influences there the reason he couldn't preach an Evangelistic servant he had for and now he was and I would say to us tonight let us remember he is the god of Grace and he is a god of good but when he said don't you forget the angels that kept not their first estate God delivered the Israelites from Egypt but later destroyed them for their disobedience uh Balaam he was the mercenary Prophet that prophesied for the highest bidder he eventually was willing to to prophesy against Israel because of the the opposing King had offered him a big bunch of money well there are those so having said that we're given highlights and and review that there was that kind of folks there and I said these be who separate themselves sensual having not the spirit but below build up yourself verse 21 keep yourselves some have compassion making a difference and others saved with fear pulling them out of the fire hating even the garments spotted by the flesh these be they who separate themselves that is from the Brethren now the the the the secret right here is Jude was experiencing men that was deliberately trying to divide the church trying to separate people from one another separating themselves and and he he considered this a very very strong evil and I want to tell you something uh according to the Bible and here's what Paul said uh in Romans 16 I beseech you Brethren mark them which called division which caused divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned and avoid them now the last thing we want any of you to do is is to turn your back on somebody just not be be somebody be hateful and mean somebody's got to be Mighty bad but there's somebody there are some books that you don't need to give an ear to if they've got the nerve to start running the church down or they don't like this and they don't like that and they don't like something else and this this this and they're trying to turn you against the church it's time for you to turn your back on them and avoid them now you don't have to be hateful but you don't need to let your ears become a garbage can with the internet we used to preach about the party line a lot of you folks don't even know what a party line is uh we didn't even have that but back then when the first came out with telephones everybody out of the was on the same line if and you had your ring two ring ring ring that's mine three rings is yours a ring and about a certain and and you could hear the other person get the ring well if you wanted to you could pick up the pillow it was hanging on the wall had a little horn like he put up out to your ear like that you stood and and you can listen to your neighbor carrying on their conversation and we used to preach about uh party line uh but now it's not a party line you can talk to the whole world and somebody put something on online and then somebody else replies to it and it causes hard feelings and and the only goes well the best thing for you to do is it every day I I have folks that said want to be my friend well I want to be their friend too but I have I have to my recollection I have not answered one person I in fact Anthony put me on Facebook and I don't even know how he did it and what it means and I don't uh when I get these these uh so and so wants to be your friend well I'll be your friend but dear me I don't even know what I'm doing I know you can start looking and it just keeps on going keeps on going and next thing you know you've got a whole world of folks that you looking in on you and I don't want to look in on that and I don't want them somebody say Amen all right well if you're under do you get what I'm talking about now are you hearing me now I beseech you mark them mark them that cause division people are trying to cause division brother Paul Cook and our uh sitting back there he told me one of the most chilling stories a few years back he where he worked and I can't get it all together exactly like it was but I'll give you a thumbnail sketch and and it'll it'll be a paraphrasing but there was a fellow where I worked told him that the other fellow down the other in the line was doing such and such and saying such and such about him and then it came to the other fella and told him that brother Paul was saying such and such about him and he was going back and forth and making up stories to about this one to that one that happened to that one and finally it boiled down to I believe it was brother Paul uh said that you tell that fella I want to meet him at such and such a place after work today we're going to settle this thing with these things he said to me we're going to settle this and he had them in a in a stew and they were they were ready to go to Fish City or whatever and again I'm I'm just paraphrasing and making a a large compression but when they met that fella that had caused all that came between them he said wait wait wait wait no y'all don't don't we don't want to fight he said another word of that was true I made all that up but now stop and think about that one he could have caused somebody to get killed and no no doubt that has actually happened that is what you call someone that causes Division and there are folks that will make up stores or will add to the store or will slant the story a little bit uh well I'll get to that I gotta hurry now and Proverbs 6 14 forwardness is in his heart he divides with Mission forwardness means habitually dispose to Disobedience and opposition a false now here's what Proverbs says therefore shall his Calamity come suddenly suddenly shall he be broken without the remedy these six things just the Lord hate yay seven are an Abomination to him a proud look a lying tongue hands and shed innocent blood a heart the divises wicked imaginations feet that be swift to run to Mischief a false witness that speak lies and he that soweth Discord among the Brethren but we we need this house full tonight we we need every Sunday every class in here to to hear what uh I'm teaching tonight this is something that everybody needs all right and he uh and he saw a Discord among the Brethren and then verse 20 he said but beloved build up yourself building up yourselves on your Most Holy Faith Philippians 2 12 says wherefore my beloved as you've always obeyed not as in my presence only but much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling okay here we go we're hitting highlights and and review I want to comment on this are you listening wherefore my beloved if you've always obey notice in my presence only but much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling I had a funnel to call me one time and said I'd like to to set up an appointment with you I'd like for you to counsel with my son and um I said all right and and I said he said he he won't go to church and said he needs to go to church and I need you to to counsel him and I said well I'd be glad to do whatever I can I said how old is your son he said he's five he's five and won't go to church boy how do I say what I'm wanting to say and what needs to be said A lady called Pastor Mark mcclub a few years ago she had two daughters and the two daughters didn't get along with each other or mother even and she said that I want I've made up my will and I want you to be the executor of my will Pastor Mark Nicole said no way will I be executive you want me to be an enemy to both your girls you dead and then I've got to divide things and they're not going no way will I do it when Martha said Jesus Mary is not helping me won't you tell her Jesus said Martha Martha you're coming in trouble with anything and Mary has chosen the good part when Jesus had said when you go to court and and they bring you to don't think about what you're going to say the Holy Ghost will give you words to say and he paused just a moment the man raised his hand I'm adding that but he had a question and Jesus says all right he said master would you make my brother divide his inheritance with me there's some things that you you you you can tell by the tone Jesus said man he didn't say brother dear heart sweetheart he said man who made me a divider of The Inheritance Jesus refused to get involved in their family squabbled now what I'm getting at work at you and God forbid that I ever give the impression that we're not ready and willing and anxious to help counsel you your children who are whatever but I want to tell you something if you attend Bible class and and evangelists server Sunday night there's a lot of things you can take care of yourself and a lot of times you want to put that and that's not the right way to say that a lot of times you don't realize it but you put the preacher in the position of making uh an enemy one or the other is going to be dissatisfied with your counsel and you're wanting the the someone to to counsel between and there's some things that you can work out yourself if you've got a five-year-old child that won't go to a church I believe there's a way you can handle that I think there is a way and well how do I say it uh there's there's a and there's another side there's a there's some things that you can work out yourself you can work out your own salvation said when I was there I said since I can't be there it's more important that you be able to take care of yourself and work out your own salvation because I can't be there and and you need to pray and you need to study and and you need to work it not what I'm saying at all but I would like for you to be able to take care of some things and I've talked to folks about uh their their problem it's been uh 10 years 20 years wrecking their marriage and violating their vows and and then you go to the office and they want you to straighten it out in 45 minutes now brother here's what you need to do and now uh be here Wednesday night well I can't that's that makes an honest mistake you can counsel with them but you need to do it kindly patiently and and and win them by kindness others say with fear of pulling them out of the fire save with prayer that is uh appeal adapted will produce fear and make somebody understand that they're really going to go to hell I guess that's what I'm doing tonight they're like I want everybody to understand every method is to be employed in its proper place that we by all means May save some said pulling them out of the fire somebody's fixing to go into a burning house you're going to try to help them then it said the Apostle means to convey what he means to convey it's not hard to be understood by the government spotted by the flesh there were some garments that worn by someone that had a loathsome disease that you'll catch that disease just by touching that garment I'm afraid that there are some folks that want to be so much like the world that they're becoming the world now it's bad when the church gets whirly and the world gets churchy that's a that's that's a real problem and and I fear that in some cases trying to fit it in with the trend of the day that we're living in a trendy day uh this uh this uh pandemic that has swept the world shut our churches down uh restaurants are closing down and there's it's like you're living in a new world you'll go around and and places are no longer in business and and you you look around and uh things are so so so different and I read the other day that uh some somewhere between 40 and 50 percent of the people that stop going to church during the pandemic of the the covid-19 never go back to church they get used to staying home and looking at it online and they never get back in church it's had its effect and we we don't need to let that happen to us and let me get on here quickly and James 3 13-18 says who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom but listen to this if ye have bitter ending and strife in your hearts Glory not and line out against the truth some folks say I just say what I believe I'm plain spoken I want your eye back they know what I am well that's not always something to be proud of this wisdom descendeth not from above but is Earthly sensual and devilish for for envying and strife is there is confusion in every evil work but the wisdom that is from above is first pure then Peaceable the wisdom that's from above is Peaceable now listen gentle and easy to be entreated real wisdom is easy to talk to someone they don't fly off the handle and and get get mad I got one minute to go I might by my time full Mercy full of Mercy good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy and listen to this and the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace would you stand on your feet with me and say 8 45 and that's the time I've set for myself the fruit of righteousness is sown in
