praise the Lord everyone praise the Lord the Bible said in that day they shall say praise the Lord and that's what we're doing here tonight we're here to praise the Lord and it's so good to see everyone here I just notice of course this is not the first time I noticed this but um we have such a great number of children that is so beautiful I see them just lined up going here and there and and how beautiful it is and it always reminds me of what Bishop uh William parent said when he preached for us at 123 West Columbia he he said there's only one thing I've got to say to by way of criticism of this Church everything is great great he said you just don't have enough children well we've got a lot of children and we welcome every one of them we just we love the children I talk about my grandchildren and great grandchildren but uh yours is just as cute and just as sweet just as pretty and as smart and every one of us ought to feel the same way about them and and love them dearly it's a matter of fact the the way we talk about uh the the children and marriage and husbands and wives that's the way it it ought to be we ought to love our families actually the church is uh fashioned after the family of God uh we are in the Bible we are considered and called the bride of Christ and that indeed we are the B bride of Christ and we have a great lesson tonight um I have permission from Pastor mul uh I know a lot of folks and he wants first of all he wants me to thank each one of you for every text and every word that has been said in every prayer and of course um if they tried to answer every telephone call and all of us tried to call him they that's that that had to go back to the hospital to have their ears checked because uh we are a loving church family and we do love to tell each other I love you but the text you can always text that don't expect an answer to every text but it it goes through and it's uh telling Pastor Mark MC and sister Jamie MC she's having a problem with her back we see uh I watch on the cameras a lot a and I see them out here working all hours of the day and night and I think sister Jamie M she tries to pick up and move things too big for her and she's kind of down in her back we want to pray for her and pastor wants me to tell you this he thanks you for your prayers and he had his 65th birthday back in November and he joined the crowd of those that get their Wellness tests and and uh that's something that we all do or should do and of course they start running all kind of test looking for something to find wrong with you which is what they're supposed to do and they usually can find something that needs attention and and they did they found something that needed attention uh something that uh affects every uh I think we read 60% of every male will uh be uh affected by this particular ailment after 65 years of age and U there he's doing well and uh he developed a fever and it was from the uh actually the the testing and all that went on uh that's the normal procedure and he uh had a little reaction to that and started running a fever and they felt it was best that he go to the hospital and get treated there but he's back home now but uh we just fell on him all of his family do not come to church tonight and sister Jamie do y'all stay in and one of the things that they need more than anything else is is a rest and relaxation but he thanks you for your prayers and your concern and I concur with that I know what is like um this is such a loving a church family and we love everyone of you so very dearly and we know that you love us and by the way I got to visit brother Summers uh just a just three few days ago and we want to be continuing to pray for him and also brother Jack sister Betty uh ruford let's pray for them continue to keep them in our prayers uh sister Kathy and brother Mike sister Kathy she's been on a long long road of of very serious uh physical condition and let's continue to pray for sister uh uh Kathy and brother Mike and let's pray for one another the Bible said pray one for another you know the the Bible said for for us to to uh to pray one for another another and said confess your faults and pray one for another that you may be healed and and there's uh I don't know if you want to call that an oxymoron or not but uh to confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that you may be healed uh that sounds like that uh even folks that gets a prayer answered may have faults that we need to pray one for another not to get on the internet and tell anybody and and all that but it it lets me know that we're to uh share our concerns and love for each other having said that let's go to the word of the Lord tonight we have a great lesson and as you know I time myself and make sure that uh you don't you don't I don't hold you too long our lesson for this uh spring series is worshiping our Sovereign God worshiping our Sovereign God and tonight's lesson is entitled worshiping the one who sits on his throne worship and it's um it amazes me it's beyond coincidence uh things that that is preached and then somebody else comes right along and preaches the same thing and um we heard two great messages from brother Victor verra and one of his messages was uh the the missing part the missing piece and there was a picture of a puzzle on the screen and um uh he he preached something that that all of us would be wise to pay special attention to uh Solomon wrote the songs of Solomon and the Book of Ecclesiastes and the Book of Eccles Ecclesiastes he mentioned all the things that covered he was the wisest man that ever lived but he did not mention worshiping God the way he should have a and um if you're like me I've read the book of Ecclesiastes and the songs of Solomon I I really like Songs of Solomon because it's so romantic and I like to read it to my wife sometimes and I but I didn't realize I didn't think as much about it till I heard that great message about worship worship and then I I believe it was Pastor Whitley that preached a great message uh a place called Yonder you remember that message a place called Yonder and it seems like uh on on on every hand uh God has sent to us messages on worship not that we don't worship God but the fact is he wants us to worship Him in fact the word worship is mentioned 126 times in the Bible and the word worshiped is mentioned 83 times times in the Bible and uh we are all familiar with the first of all the great Commandments Worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve when when Jesus was talking to Nicodemus said do do you know the Commandments oh yes I've known them what are they he knew it but he really didn't understand the true meaning worship is not how fast you can run how high you can jump how loud you can holler how much you can cry all and I'm not saying that digging are putting that down because uh when I was able I used to run with the best of them and I still run with the bestest my age and which we do I I used to jog every morning and I don't jog anymore I snail but and it's but about everybody my age does the same thing uh but what I am getting at I'm not putting down running shouting hollering crying but worship comes from the heart it's what you do you can be worshiping god without saying a word now when Hannah and her husband went to the house of God to take their offering once a year uh she could not have a child and she was so burdened uh her husband's other wife AIA she she had children in those days they had more than one wives and they don't of course uh from the beginning it really wasn't so wasn't God's plan God's plan is one man for one woman for one lifetime but U when she was a downcast her husband said what's wrong with you she said uh I'm a woman of sorrowful spirit said I don't have any children you haven't given me and it kind of frustrated him and he said am I a God I'm not I'm not a God I can't it's God that gives the babies and so they went to the house of God and she was in there and he gave her more money to give in the uh offering than uh the other wife and the every but and and she gave what she had but her lips were moving but she wasn't making a noise and she was so grieved and so brokenhearted and the Eli the man of God said woman how dare you to I'm I'm paraphrasing now woman how dare you come into the house of God drunk he the the the man of God misunderstood and and accused her of being drunk and she said I'm not a drunk at all but she said I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit and and I've never been able to have a child I want to I want to have a child and if God would give me a child I'll give him back to the Lord and the man of God prayed for her and in N9 months time she had a baby and she told her husband you go back to the house of God I'm not going back until he's old enough to be weaned and when little Samuel was old enough she took him to the house of God she made him an an epod she made him a a little garment just like the priest she wanted him to look like the man of God and she she though he was just uh I think about five years old and she wanted him to be and look like and act like the man of God and you know what I get a lot of thought out of that um we have our children that uh want to wear t-shirts with their favorite uh uh athletes number on it and they want to be like this one or that one and the other and the other and the other and and sometimes uh the the the cheerleaders don't give the best example of modesty and but that our children want to be like somebody but I think it's so great I I I get so happy I actually weep sometimes I see these children right here down shouting and dancing shouting and dancing and and I get that's the way it should be they should see you and me worshiping God they should see you and me with and they should want to be like that and as they grow up and grow in one of our great grandchildren has already received the baptism of the Holy Ghost the oldest one she's she's only what 9 years old and and and she's already got the Holy Ghost and we need to bring our children up just that way in fact we've got a with these cameras that do videos and uh snapshots and all that business uh I was uh I was singing uh a last religious song that do Lord oh Do Lord do remember me and I was just going to town and old Callaway he brought me a little bitty guitar he wanted me to play his guitar so I got that and I started singing and do Lord remember me and he walked around the coffee table and he said M mama mama mama and she and she looked at him he cut loose the D thing he's want to see he want he he wanted to show sure how to dance and I that's worth the a million dollars to have you now so what you see what I'm talking about we need to teach worship we need to believe in worship we're not here just to hear a a spectacular speech made we need to be oh I love we have the greatest preaching that you'll hear anywhere on planet Earth but the preaching we hear is constantly telling us about worshiping God we want to worship him that's what G gives God glory is to worship him well I'm not even into my sermon yet or into my Bible study the focused verse is found in Revelation 4 and 8 and the four beasts had each of them six wings about him and they were full of eyes within and they rest not day and night saying holy holy holy Lord God Almighty which was and is and is to come oh hallelujah what a what a pattern uh what a design for us to understand and uh uh Revelation was written by well they call him John the Revelator but uh uh Apostle John uh here's what it says in re Revelation starting at verse one now uh John was uh exiled to a small rocky Barren Island uh on in the aan sea it is mentioned in scripture only one time and that is revelation 1 and N now he was exiled by the then uh uh highest ruler in the uh in the uh Roman government and and he was exiled uh to this aisle of patmas uh and here's what it said well let me read I'm going to start at verse one in Revelation chapter one and then we'll go to to chapter 4 the revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave unto him to show unto his servants the things which must shortly come to pass and send and signified it by his Angel and unto his servant John who bear record of the word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ and of all things that he saw blessed is he that hear hear that readest and they that hear the words of the prophecy and keep these things which are written therein for the time is at hand now now get the picture he has been we used to have a prison I think the prison is still there uh but it's no longer used as a prison but it was Alcatraz it's supposed to been a a a prison that was impossible to escape there's I think a few that attempted and they assumed that they they drowned and so forth but anyway uh it was a secluded Island now uh the a of patmas was on this uh was a little island and and here we we've got John being exiled to this uh small lowly lonely secluded Island but what do you do when you get secluded you and I have never been and hopefully never will be exiled to a physical piece of land surrounded by water of which we cannot Escape but every one of us has had our aisle of patmas that we've had to live on sometime in our life it may be in a spiritual manner it could be a family problem it could be a business problem it could be a health problem that you get secluded on that that you can't can't get on off ofet one of my favorite scriptures and uh in uh giving U the closing statement at the cemetery when when we were committing the body back to Mother Earth in in uh Revelation 21 John's ey John saw the holy city coming out from God out of heaven and he told all the things that there were a new Heaven and a new Earth and then one thing he said that really stuck with me it said and there was no more sea now that don't mean much to us now but if you were exiled on a Lonely Island and there and you was uh surrounded by nothing but see just think that new world we're going to go in the Bible said a new Heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness and the Bible said God will wipe all tears from our eyes and there will be no more see if you're hampered by cancer heart trouble arthritis old age no matter what it is that's right now I am surrounded and and I'm I'm encapsulated in a 87y old body soon will be 88y old body and I cannot do one thing about it and not one thing can I do about it except one of these days I'm going to lay it down and he said he's going to give us said new body oh Hallelujah but right now I am in on the island of the age I'm on the island of the age 87 but let me tell you something one of these days I'm going to escape the aisle of old age I'll run and not be weary I'll walk and not pain the old gospel song said praise the Lord I'll have a new body praise the Lord I'll have a new life oh s in weakness raised in the power ready to live in paradise I'll have a new body praise the Lord I'll have a new life now now if you like classical singing you're blessed well I'm talking about what we can get what we can escape from um I don't know how to to to to make it more more real what I'm trying to say is everybody has their own a of patas everybody everybody why am I going through what I'm going through nobody else I nobody no everybody has got their own island of patmas that they're exiled to at some it may be for a short time and it could be for a lifetime I thought so much uh little Donna she used to um she she used to send everybody cards and she was I guess bed fast her whole life wasn't she honey and and and uh but God delivered her from that when she laid that body down she's no longer exiled to that body she's got to now let me tell you something if you're going to get healing I don't care what you got I don't care what you're carrying what disease you're going to get delivered either physically now or you're going to get delivered from this body with all of its aches and pains and all of its maladies you're going to have a new life what a glorious time that's going to be and I I I want us to get a a fresh glimpse of that I want Paul said to live as Christ and to die is gain oh Hallelujah well let me go on now John is talking here's what happens to him when he's exiled to that aisle of atness John to the seven churches which are in Asia Grace be unto you and peace from him which is which was and which is to come and from the seven spirits which are before his throne and from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood now the the the the Emperor of of Rome he thought he was exiling uh John to a place that would be a horrible thing but instead Paul John said it I was in the spirit on the Lord's day it gave him a time to be away from all distractions and God began to deal with him and gave gave him a vision of Heaven streets of gold and he describes it in the book of re ation that's beyond our comprehension well let me go on and have made us Kings and Priests unto God and his father to him be glory and Dominion forever and ever behold he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him and they also which pierced him and all kindreds of Earth shall whail because of him even so amen and then he hears the Lord talking and God is talking to this man Exile and here's what he says I am Alpha and Omega how would you like to be somewhere that you could hear the voice of God here I'm talking about audibly now many times we feel that we hear God talking to us but not in an audible voice but how would you like for him to speak to you in in an audible voice now listen to this here's what he said I'm Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending sayeth the Lord which is which was and which is to come the Almighty I John who also am your brother and companion in Tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ was in the aisle that is called patmas for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ now he's seeing his his uh imprisonment In a Different Light than you might think and he using it for a different purpose than punishment he's getting closer to God and he's seeing things that he had never seen before he's seeing things that he couldn't describe other than in mortal terms that we are still struggling on what was this beast and what was this creature and what was that and and the uh prophecy preachers and I don't mean that in digging way they don't they they can give you the uh the reason for this animal what this animal represents and what this eye represents what this horn represents and and and they most of them can't agree with each other that's not even the point the point is God is showing John something that he had never seen before he CLA he he admits himself that he didn't understand it let us go on and saying I'm Alpha and Omega the beginning end the first the last which who is was which is then he said what seest thou right in a book and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia unto Ephesus and to smna to pergamus and to thara unto Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Leo now we know this much that he designated the seven churches that and he addresses one each one of them individually and they needed to hear something from heaven and and let me say to you and and to me God has a word for this church God has a word for us and and it's going to be true it's going to be who who so prophesy speaks word words of edification exhortation and comfort Jesus said feed my sheep he didn't say beat my sheep he said feed my sheep he that prophesieth speaketh words of edification exhortation and comfort that's what God is speaking to us and I I notice this John said I turn to see the voice that spake with me does that sound rather strange to you do you see a voice or do you hear a voice John Heard a Voice then he said I turned to see The Voice well what could possibly be the meaning of that do we find it in in in in John 1 and one in the beginning was the word that's the voice the word was with God and the Word was God all things were made by him without him there was not anything made that was made in him was life and life was the light of men the light shineth in the darkness and the Darkness comprehended not but in John 1:14 it said and the Word was made flesh and dwelt Among Us no wonder John said I turned to see the voice The Voice had just spoke and said I'm Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end which is which was and which is to come the first and the last now then John 1:14 said and the Word was made flesh and in Revelation 1 and 12 it said I turn to see The Voice you're going to see that voice when you see Jesus Christ he and the Bible the meaning of that word when it said the word was made flesh in the Greek it was tabernacled Among Us you see what happened God Almighty wrapped himself in human flesh came down and tabernac the t a tabernacle is a temporary dwelling and he came down the Bible spoke in Revelation and said in the days of his flesh do you get that in the days that meant the day in the days of my youth in the days of my sickness in the days there it's a it's a designated time in the days of his flesh because that voice was the word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory and in verse 14 and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us all right let us go on and I turned to see the voice that spoke with me and being turned I saw seven golden candlesticks and in the midst of the seven candles SS one like un to the son of man you see we're talking about that great Book of Revelation the the the the they the world is afraid of that book and they shown it but uh the book itself said uh you're going to get a blessing to receive that that book now then I want us to go back to uh uh Revelation 4 and and we've established that John was on the aisle of patmas and he received uh from God a wondrous Revelation recorded in his book and and this is naturally investigated with the deepest interest for all time now reading from the prescribed uh curriculum uh Revelation 4 verse one and this I looked and behold a door was opened in heaven and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me which said come up hither and I will show thee things which must be Hereafter now a trumpet is is mentioned uh many times in the Bible and almost every time it's mentioned I didn't write it down i' looked it up in my concordance how many times a trumpet was mentioned and and it was so many times but it was most always a a very powerful a very loud a very uh discomfiting God used that in and when H Gideon was fighting against the midianites uh he took 300 men and they had trumpets and lights they put under a a base and and then uh he said uh when I blow my trumpet you blow your trumpet there was a 100 over here blowing trumpets 100 over and and and the triangle the sound of trumpet was loud and then they broke their clay pictures and the lights began to BR and the the the skies lit up all around the city and the people thought there were thousands out there and God used that as his instrument to to deliver the minites into the hands of Gideon now John saw and the and and God began to speak to him and he said it was like a trumpet when the real man of God is speaking under the anointing don't it sometimes sound like a trumpet uh I love to hear Pastor Whitley love to hear Pastor Martin Pastor an but um he can he he he tells me there was an old preacher used to come to preach to the church he's out of and sister Whitley is here and she'll know what we're talking about and he said when he started coming when he said it scared us all to death so he was scary to us and and we better get prayed up and because he really he really preached strong and uh that had an influence on Pastor Whitley and when he's up here preaching you know you're hearing preaching I mean to tell you it's it's yeah and amen and and and he'll have you out of your seat before he's through because he he's preaching with such it's like the voice of a trumpet now some of our preaching is rather mild and meek it reminds me of a story I read the other day it said this pastor was visiting at the home of a man and woman and um said she was pouring him his second cup of coffee and she catch mentioned she said it looks like rain the preacher said it tastes a little like coffee too well that that kind of reminds me of some of the preaching we hear nowadays they call her preaching and it sounds a little bit like preaching if you got a good imagination or it could sound like a a a a an Entertainer or a a speech maker but what we need to hear today is thus saith the Lord we need to preach like the voice of a trumpet that folks will understand that we mean business somebody said amen amen all right and and the voice which I heard was it were of a trumpet talking with me and said come up hither and I'll show thee things which must be Hereafter and immediately I was in the spirit be and behold a throne was set in heaven and it didn't say there was three sitting on the throne it didn't say there was two sitting on the throne it said and one sat on the throne and he that sat was to look upon like a Jasper and a sardine stone and there was a rainbow round about the throne in sight like unto an emerald and round about The Throne was 4 and 26 let me stop there in in in describing this it is the the the rainbow and the beautiful colors of these uh Stones is is his way of trying to describe what a beautiful place it's going to be the old song says how beautiful Heaven Must Be home of the happy and free you see Heaven is going to be more beautiful than your mind can ever even imagine songs have been written this is just what heaven means to me how beautiful Heaven Must Be on and on but words are inadequate to really explain this is the way John's explaining it he said uh and the throne it sat in heaven and one set on the throne and he that sat was to was to look upon like a Jasper and a sardin stone and there was a rainbow round about the throne in sight like unto an emerald Oh what a beautiful place round about The Throne were four and 20 Elders 24 Elders there were 12 Apostles and there 12 Tribes of of Israel we don't that's assumed that that's what he's talking about the uh the 24 Elders I saw four and 20 Elders sitting clothed in white rment uh the white rment meant they were clean and pure and and holy men of God or people of God and they had on their heads crowns of gold and and it was a the the the the picture the vision that John was seeing what it was going to be like the people of God that's going to be gathering there and out of the throne proceeded lightning Thunders and voices and there were seven lamps of fire burning Before the Throne which were which are the seven spirits of God now when you see this glorious Beauty now we're living in the day right now that with the uh to dig you to leave create this that and the other and they're there're they're creating horrible looking things if you if you watch any television at all they they're advertised some of the most hideous horrible creatures and things going or they can uh have lightning fles but it's nothing to to compare with what heaven is going to be like oh praise God with all these beautiful Stones then the lightning began to flash oh what a glorious place that you and I have waiting on us and out of the throne proceeded Lightnings and thunderings and voices and there were seven lamps of fire burning Before the Throne which are the seven spirits of God now we we we have a hard time understanding some of the phrases in the Bible the seven spirits of God that's not talking about the the Holy Ghost but understand this God is God and everything he does and anything is right he does what's right the Bible said God cannot lie now there's one place in the Old Testament when uh God wanted to lead the king astray because he had gone against God the Bible said there was a meeting in heav and the spirits one said this and one said that and one of the spirits said I'll go and be a lying spirit in the mouth of his prophet I'll go and be now are you hearing me you you you really need to hear what I'm saying right now and carefully analyze it and digest it uh go and be a lying Spirit now the Bible said that God shall send them strong [Music] delusions that they may believe a lie that they all may be damned now you can get in such a condition you can turn your ear from the truth you can fail to get it in your heart and mind and God let some false prophet come by and you'll fall for it you'll you'll take off after it now you need to know that you need to understand that I I had a gentleman uh that uh worshiped with us in Kingsport when I was preaching Revival in in in the lighthouse in fact back then it was called Williams Chapel Holiness Church and uh this this brother uh came to hear me he knew me well and I knew him well and he moved to Knoxville one day some folks coming up the street and they came to my door and they had some magazines Watchtower and one wanted to sell me Watchtower said no and I called him my name and I said brother now you know better than that you know good and well that that's not right and he said well you you you believe I can be saved don't you I said I sure do but that's not the way right there and I I turned that down and gave kindly gave him my testimony which he but what I'm telling you now is there is a spirit of delusion and folks it gets carried away after this preacher and that preacher and this and this and this if you're not careful you'll believe the wrong thing you need a church and a pastor that you can hear and believe what he says and know he's preaching you the truth take your Bible and follow him take your Bible and read it at home the reason I baptize in Jesus name that's the only way the apostles baptize and there's no place in the book in the Bible where anybody was ever baptized using the words Father Son and Holy Ghost it's not in the Bible it's not there and yet that's the way the vast the vast majority of the church world baptizes and they don't realize that in 3:25 ad the Roman Catholic Church at the Council of NAA they approved the new doctrine of the Trinity and baptizing the titles Father Son and Holy Ghost I don't want to go after something like that if the book Don't Preach it if the Bible don't tell it you and I don't need to follow it so just throwing that in okay and out of the throne proceeded Lightnings and Thunders and voices and the there were several lamps fire burning Before the Throne which are the seven spirits of God and Before the Throne there was a sea of glass likened to Crystal and in the midst of the throne and round about The Throne were four beasts full of eyes before and behind and the first Beast was like a lion and the second beast were like a calf and the third Beast had a face as a man and the fourth Beast was like like a flying eagle now I'm not going to try to tell you that this Li I know the Bible speaks of the lion of tribe Judah I could I can nail that one down the second beast was like a calf and the third Beast had a face as a man I think I know what a man is but I'm not going to put some great spiritual significance to preach a Doctrine to you about that it it may represent this to me or to you now I was on the radio three times a day at one time here in Knoxville and uh on one of my programs there was a preacher following me and and for I think he was on a year or better maybe better but he had he uh it quoted from NASA and then as much as he took his license from NASA it really seemed to give him credibility and a great following and he had calculated the days the times the years and the seasons and all put it all together and just and and it sounded very impressive and he gave the date that Jesus was coming back I forget what year it was but I do remember what day it was it was April 1 I don't I know if that was by accident or not April Fool's Day but he was right after me and I had to say this Jesus may come the day before April 1st or Jesus may come the day after or he may come tomorrow but he's not going to come on that day the Man cancelled his programs in advance his last program program was the day before Jesus was to come and I've never heard from him since twice in my Ministry there was another man that wrote the book uh 99 reason Jesus coming 99 or what he put a date on it I think it was 99 reasons whatever but like 1999 and it's going to be turning over to a new century right away at any rate he wrote a book and I had I had several Apostolic preachers to read that book and they told me that old boy's got something he he' put all these things together they they never said they agreed with him but they would said that old boy's got something did you ever read that book I did read the book and I said at my mother's table and and U she said Billy honey you you sound like you don't believe that I said mother and I happened to be sitting at her table the day this supposed to Happ that Jesus was supposed to come and one of those 99 reasons or whatever date it was I don't I'm not for sure about that but I said Mom the Bible said no man knows the day nor the hour and I said I'm not a wor bit worried about if he was coming I'm ready to go anyway right but he's not coming on that date and we you hear things that's spectacular and impressive don't be deceived let me go on here because I'm just about out of my self a lotted time um and Before the Throne there was a sea of glass like in the Crystal and in the midst of the throne and round about The Throne were four beasts full of eyes before and behind and the first Beast were like a lion the second beast like a cat the third Beast had a face as a man and the fourth Beast was like a flying eagle and the four Beast had each of them six wings about him and they were full of eyes within and they rest not dead night saying holy holy holy now the great
