praise the Lord everyone we greet you tonight in the wonderful name of the Lord Jesus Christ that high and holy name that is above every name and I want to add my word to that of Pastor mul and those who have spoken we welcome each and everyone to the service tonight say it's good to see brother and sister Thor back there brother and sister uh his father was my contemporary and we had some great services for brother Thorp in Kingsport Tennessee and uh it's so good to see uh brother and sister Thorp with us tonight and uh each one of you we're so pleased to have you with us in the service and U we're going to ask the Lord to bless the and anoint the teaching of the word of the Lord tonight and let's pray for pastor M he disobeyed his daddy tonight I told him not to even think about coming to church he's just came from the doctor yesterday with a severe sinus infection and and he shouldn't be out but he is out and I think I think the Lord will forgive him for disob his daddy and will bless him for his faithfulness to his heavenly father and being in service but pastor we appreciate your determination and dedication you could tell by the sound of his voice the the condition that he's in but I thank the Lord that sometimes we do go when we uh might should stay in but anyway the Lord has a blessing for every everyone with all their uh efforts it's so good to see brother uh Richard back there we miss his precious wife but he's not letting her going on before him to Glory keeping him from uh coming to the house of the Lord and I think that is wonderful father we thank you tonight for the privilege of being in the house of God we thank you for your wonderful people that have assembled here tonight to uh hear the word of the Lord and to study the word of God with us I pray father you will anoint the lips of clay with the spirit of God give that which you would have spoken in this service tonight in Jesus name we pray amen and amen just a little bit of tidbit of History we were in Revival with brother Thorp when I got a call from brother mckenny sister M I had given up the church and and in my mind I determined I would not come back to Knoxville i' never visited anyone never called anyone I didn't want to give any any reason for anybody to uh long for their their first Pastor when I turned the the church over to brother mckenny sister mul and I travel for three years and we was in Revival with brother Thorp before they built the church over on the the Interstate or the big Highway and um brother mckenny said brother mol I'm tired and and I I feel like giving up the church and you're the founding Pastor you're the one that should be responsible to get the folks a pastor and so I told Brother mckenny that uh as soon as this revival is over I think we're were coming to a close that weekend I said well I'll be in in B and um I'll I'll preach a few nights and I'll start looking for you folks a pastor so I went to no went came to Knoxville was still in the basement and I held a Revival and it took me uh 18 19 years to get him a pastor I raised him a pastor and he's the one that we have right now and I've been the fill-in pastor ever since and but anyway um sister mol every time we' come through Knoxville she said honey there's going to be a good church in Knoxville someday and that would be like stabbing me in the heart I can't tell you the feeling I had because um i' I'd been here for uh five years or so and I was wore out and as uh I believe it was a a pastor uh Anthony preached about burning burnout and uh we left for the three years and we came back just a short while uh we started a building program and put a top on the old basement and the building just filled up and and as soon as it got got full I told sister mol I said uh it looks like we're going to have to build another building but I said if God wants us to build another building he'll send us a buyer for this building and and that kind of relieved my conscious uh and and so I wouldn't worry about it then if God wanted another and the next week the Assembly of God Church pastor called me and said brother mul would you be interested in selling your bu it was a new building and and he says would would you be interested in selling your building and so God had had call my hand now we're talking about that you may think this don't tie in with our lesson tonight but we're going to be talking about miracles and the way God works but I told him I said let me have a few days to think about it and when I called him back I I said uh uh and I had it in my mind I never consulted a a real estate agent or anybody I said yes we would consider selling the building and he said what do you want for it I said do you you want a haggling price or do you want a selling price he said I want a selling price well we believe in Acts 238 so strong I said $38,000 course back then that was a lot more money than it is now and he said well let me meet with the board and and I'll get back with you and he got back with me and he said you're building a soul and then he took charge he said we'll give you cash money up front and give you uh six month to build a new building and um I took it I said all right and we settled on that and I went to see our architect Mr uh Wayne El Smith and Associates and I told him with that we had bought this property right here that we're on now and uh I told him that I had an offer for $38,000 he said Son you can't do the grading for $38 $8,000 on that property and of course that put me in a tail spin and I started praying and I just uh I I just I I was operating off the top of my head and I I thought it was faith and I I believed it was and um I was going out to Alco Highway and um uh there's a the Marine Recruiting Station out there and they had a bunch of bulldozers and Earth moving machines and all that stuff and and I pulled in there and and the the captain uh I forget his name now anyway hold and U I went in and I uh asked him what they what they do with all those machines and he said well we train men to operate these bulldozers and Earth moving equipment and I said where do you train them he said well well anywhere we can said where we I said I've got a good place for you to and I told him about this place and U I said uh we we're getting ready to build a new church and a Christian school and he said if you get me a topographical map I'll give you a a answer and I gave I got I told Mr Smith and he drew us a a topographical map and I took it back out there and he looked all over and he said so he said let me ask you would you mind us working on Sunday if we agreed to do that work I said I work on Sunday every Sunday so sure come come right on so we set a date and the date was set and I was driving a little uh 65 uh blue vks wagon and the date was set I was parked out here on the side of the road this was just a a cow pasture great big old field a and early before daylight cuz he at the time I was sitting out there and I looked coming off of Western Avenue there was a a line of heavy duty low boy trucks with bulldozers and lights flashing Flags waving in the wind and and and here this little sherff Cropper was on the side of the road uh giving command and showing the Marines where to go with that equipment and they pulled in off of the road and unloaded their equipment and they started grading here and and they said there'll be no charge no charge for the fuel nothing said just and I said well we'll keep them we'll keep them uh supplied and cold drinks and coca-colas and pepsic colas and watermelons and whatever and we did that but anyway that's the way we got this uh grading started that uh Mr Smith said was going to cost at least $338,000 just for the grading but anyway that's the way it was and that's just a little tidbit that I've tied in with brother Thor because uh he was that was the last place we held a Revival before we came back to Knoxville now then let's get into tonight's study and uh this is uh uh series one Lesson 1.1 and the title is the word made flesh the word made flesh let me see what that looks like on the screen oh I like that pretty blue thank you brother uh Derek the word made flesh we're going to skip the focus verses because it it has the focus verses in this chapter uh St John 1 starting at verse one in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the word was God in the beginning was the word in the beginning the first verse in your Bible says in the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth and the Earth was the S form and void and darkness was upon the face of the Deep Well now John is relating this in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God now that word's been interpreted the the logos and that simply means uh what's in the mind before you ever speak it it's there uh a man that that's uh before you build this building it's got to be in your mind somebody's mind and then you bring it to pass in the beginning the mind of God knew what he wanted in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God the same was in the beginning With God all things were made by all things and listen to thisly all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made now our our our dear trinitarian friends they often say when God said let us make man and that uh in the beginning uh uh God created the heavens and the Earth and and the the the the word they use is a a uh it's a plural word well and they tie that in and say there was more than one in this business well let's see what the Bible says about it um in Isaiah 44:24 thus sayith the Lord thy Redeemer and he that formed thee from the womb I am the Lord that maketh all things that stretcheth forth the heavens [Music] alone that spreadeth abroad the Earth by myself now if there be any question about that uh he said he made all things by himself now the Lord said that according to Isaiah 44 then in is in Acts 9 1-5 who is Lord now before we read this in Acts I want to call your attention to who wrote the book of Acts it was Dr Luke he was called The Beloved Physician he wrote the book of Acts and he wrote the Book of Luke and here's what the and he was called The Beloved Physician and I make a a point that uh physicians in those days as in today Physicians have a high esteem they are considered highly uh respected highly educated and and they're they're above the average person in their knowledge and in their study and it was even so back then and Luke was called The Beloved Physician and here's what Luke said in Luke 1 for as much as many have taken in hand to set forth an order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us even as they delivered them unto us which from the beginning were eyewitnesses and Ministers of the word it seemed good to me also having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first to write unto thee in order most excellent theopus that thou mayest know the certainty of those things which thou Hast been instructed now having understood this I want to go to Acts chapter 1 and we'll start with verse one of Acts because Luke wrote this also the former treaties have I made o theopus of all that Jesus began to do and teach until the day in which he was taken up after that he through the Holy Ghost had given Commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen to whom also he showed himself alive after his Passion by by many infallible proofs being seen of them 40 days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God now the two passages of scripture I've read in Luke and in Acts I'm trying to reinforce the thought in your mind that we're not reading some uh uh spitting uneducated sherop and preacher we're talking about a man highly educated and now he says with infallible proof I thought it was good for me to give you the the the full truth of this matter since others have written about it so when I start to read in the book of Acts remember this was related by Dr Luke now here's what I want to read now and because uh Isaiah said thus sayth the Lord now he said there was just one lord well now we got to find out who that one Lord is in Acts 9 And1 now Saul was another Highly Educated man he was a rabbi in his own right he was a doctor of the law and uh he had gone to the high priest and had gotten letters it was warrants for the arrest for me women men or women that was in this way to bring them bound to Jerusalem and when they got got near to Damascus now notice what we hear and Saul yet breathing out threatening and Slaughter against the Disciples of the Lord went unto the high priest and desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues that if he found any of this way whether they were men or women he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem and as he so journeyed he came near Damascus and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven and he fell to the Earth and heard a voice saying unto him Saul Saul why persecutest thou me and he said who art thou Lord now this doctor of the law Pharisee of the Pharisees uh a man who said he profited above many his own equal in his own religion he was highly educated at the feet of gal and was highly respected had the authority to get a warrant for the arrest and had men under him that he could go and B Christians and bring them to Jerusalem and the voice said Saul sa why persecutest thou me and he said who art thou Lord now now Isaiah said the Lord said he created this Earth by himself and stretched out the heavens by himself and the Earth by alone now then what's the name of that Lord that spoke and he said who art thou Lord and the Lord said I am Jesus whom thou persecute us it is hard for thee to kick against the praks now Paul related this on three different occasions this one we just quoted and then in Acts 22 and8 and in Acts 26:15 he repeated this testimony because he became a convert he went to the street called straight and God sent a man of God to him to pray for him that his eyes would be open and Paul was converted and was baptized and got the Holy Ghost now this man who was so high in the Pharisees religion now then he hears from God directly and ask him who he was and God answered the Lord answered and said I am Jesus whom thou persecutest now let's reinforce this just a little bit by Deuteronomy 6 and4 here oh Israel the Lord our God is one Lord Z Ariah 14:9 and the Lord shall be king over all the Earth in that day shall there be one Lord and one name now he don't have three names he don't father son Holy Ghost are not names those are titles of a person of someone every male parent is a father and it said and the Lord shall be king over all the Earth in that day shall there be one Lord and his name one well let's see what Jesus has to say about it in Mark 12:29 and Jesus answered him the first of all the Commandments is here oh Israel the Lord our God is one Lord how many lords are there how okay Ephesians 43-6 endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of Peace there is one body and one Spirit even as you are called and one hope of your calling one Lord One Faith one baptism one God and Father of all who is above all and through all and in you all now 1 John 5:7 and 8 says for there are three that bear record in heaven the Father the word and the Holy Ghost and these three are one and there are three that bear witness in Earth the spirit and the water and the blood and these three agree in one one Lord one faith and one baptism I believe we found out who that Lord is and his name name and we know what the one Lord the one faith and the one baptism means now uh in the uh preface of my book common questions concerning Apostolic Doctrine I quote that Ephesians 4 and three and here's the preface of this book Bible truths are beautiful and should be presented in a Christlike manner while Jesus and his apostles were unyielding in their Doctrine they were compassionate in their attitude we are thus instructed in Ephesians 4:3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace and in verse 13 till we all come in the unity of the faith anything as lovely as Christian doctrine should not be marred by an unchristian attitude this writer does not pretend to have all the answers on this IM immense subject nor is it his intention to speak unkindly of those who disagree May Doctrine not become a sword with which we wound but let it be a cohesive commodity of Christianity which provokes us to study quote till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ now in this new series we're starting tonight it's the Book of John and John is going to relate several things concerning Jesus and his ministry you don't want to miss a study in in in this now verse four of John 1 in him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shineth in darkness and the Darkness comprehended it not now in him was life and the life was the light of man now Jesus said at one time I am the light of the world and then when he was getting ready to go away he said ye are the light of the world a city set on a hillside that cannot be hid that's what you and I are today we are the light of the world and and now then we must let that light shine now we don't want it to blind people but we want it to lead them to life Everlasting and the light shth into darkness and the Darkness comprehended not ver uh first part of verse four in him was life and the life was the light of men you and I if we've got that life in us we should be a light to every everybody with whom we come in contact in the community in which you live well I I don't I'm I'm for sure not wanting to put myself up as the example other than a sharecropper from Southeast Missour a and um I have uh I've refused several offers of uh giving me a a uh honorary doctor's degree well I told they've got a degree in sherop and I'll take that one but the rest of them I I I don't I I'm not that I'm just a sharecropper the Lord found and filled with a Holy Ghost and I started preaching when I was 11 years old and that's been 75 years ago and I'm preaching tonight the same thing I was preaching in 1948 when God called me to preach and I preached my first sermon in Brado Miss I'm still preaching that same message tonight give the Lord a hand [Applause] clap sister M and I I walked in one of our favorite stores Walmart and um there was a gentleman with the the nicest looking bunch of young folks with him a great big they were very very hand handsome very very nice and he stopped us said well how are you y'all sure look good tonight we just and we thanked him for that and and he introduced himself to to me and I said well and he said what is your name I said I'm Billy M and he just grabbed me and huged me and and like he he he' better celebr Billy m i you're you're my mom and dad knew you course everybody I me now it's their mom and dad or Grandpa and Grandma that knew me and he and we and and what I'm saying that for it turned out he was a a pastor of a Baptist Church here in town and and I I feel like I can be friends with any denomination I don't have to be rude or crude or insulting or or offending but I've got to let a light shine H the the CH we used the children used to sing the song this little light of mine and I'm going to let it shine everywhere in my neighbor's yard I'm going to let it shine and that's what you and I must be able to do is let our light shine and not I've seen these uh bumper stickers i' i've actually seen acts 238 or hell that's a poor statement to make acts 238 or hell you better put acts through 38 and streets of go acts 28 and the love of God we don't have to be abrasive and and insulting to anybody all right there was a man sent from God whose name was John the same came for a witness to Bear witness of the light that's what you and I are doing now uh to Bear witness of the light that all men through him might believe he was not the light but was sent to Bear witness of that light that's what we ought to do bear W that light must must be in him and it shines through us we're not that we are the city set on the hillside he said that cannot be hid now I want you to notice something now in John 10:42 and let me preface uh something um I I've got in my notes but I'll say it before I even get to the notes not for one n second that word n is supposed to be extremely small would I say anything that would be negative toward Miracles and the mighty power of God I believe in that let's say that right now there nothing more uh dear to me than than they say signs wonders and and miracles all right John 10:42 and many resorted unto him and said John did no Miracle but all things that John spake of this man were true in the beginning was the word I want you to think about the power of the word John did no Miracle but everything he said about Jesus was true you can have no better testimony than that if everything you say about Jesus say there's power in in in the word now the following scriptures given to show the importance of John the Baptist his ministry his baptism and yet the scripture stated John did no Miracle but all things that John spake of this man Jesus were true Jesus said of John the Baptist in Luke 7 28 for I say unto you among those that are born of women there is not a greater Prophet than John the Baptist but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he let us go on in Luke 72930 and all the people that heard him and the publicans just talking about John the Baptist and all the people that heard him and the publicans tax collectors Justified God being baptized with the baptism of John but the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the Council of God against themselves being not baptized of him now do you realize what I just read the baptism of John was essential in his day let me read it again you listen carefully and all the people that heard him and the publicans Justified God being baptized with the baptism of John this Justified them but the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the Council of God against themselves being not baptized of him in John's day now the power of the word the dispensation and and the law and the prophets was to John the Bible said now John's baptism was essential but now let's read Acts 19 starting at verse one and it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth Paul having passed through the upper Coast came to Ephesus and finding certain disciples he said unto them have you received the Holy Ghost since you believe whoa just a minute let's stop right there I I I used to love to hear Dr J ver McGee and I still every I there he's been dead a long time but they still run his program and and I I love to hear him teach and and um one uh one day he read a letter got a letter from a lady and said do you do you have the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking with tongu and he said my dear lady in 19 and such and such and such I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as my savior and when I got the Lord Jesus I got the whole ball of wax well that was kind of cute way of putting it and I had a kind of AC cute way of answering I said it may have got a ball of wax but he didn't get the Holy Ghost if he didn't speak in tongues and and I that might not should have been said but what I'm saying if you'll notice what I what uh John or Paul said have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed well now there are many that teaches and I I presume very good men that are honest and and their belief but they believe when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ believe on him that you've got everything now Paul said have you receive the Holy Ghost since you believe now we can that's well now wait a minute Paul everybody that believes has got the Holy Ghost well now let's see about that apoll was Corinth Paul having passed through the upper coost came to Ephesus finding certain disciples he said to them have you received the Holy Ghost since you believe and they said unto him we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost you hadn't heard about the Holy Ghost well he said unto them unto what then were you baptized it don't make any difference how you're baptized Paul don't you know that in fact it don't matter if you're baptized at all or baptize any now wait a minute that's not what Paul was teaching he said unto what then were you baptized you say you haven't heard about the Holy Ghost all right remember the Pharisees condemn themselves not being baptized by John but another dispensation has come in and the day of John the Baptist that they had to obey what he preached but now then Paul is saying unto what then were you baptized and they said to John's baptism then said Paul John barely baptized with a baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and when Paul had laid his hands upon them the Holy Ghost came on them and they spake with tongues and prophesied and all the men were about 12 it don't get much plainer than that does it are you understanding where what we're teaching now you're the L John the Baptist or John the the the writer of John uh in the beginning was the word the word the word was with God and the Word was God the same as in in the beginning with god well when they heard this they were baptized and and let let's go on uh as I I stated I'm not for one second minimizing the greatness of Miracles but I showing the importance of the power of the word the power of the word Paul didn't say have you performed any Miracles have you seen anybody performed any any Miracles are do do you believe in signs and Miracle signs and one and I'm not speaking one word against that but I'm telling you the power of of the word is what's going to save you and I'm going to deal with this a little bit more and and put on your rain C now you rain at because don't don't you don't you get offended at me because what I'm going to preach what I'm going to teach Matthew 5:14 and when Jesus was entered into capernium there came to unto him a certain a centurion that's a man had aund men under him beseeching him and saying Lord my servant Li at home sick of the PS and grievously tormented and Jesus said to him I will come and heal him the Centurion answered and said Lord I'm not worthy that thou should come under my roof but speak the word only the power of the word but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed for I'm a man under Authority having soldiers unto me I say to this man go and he goeth I say to another come and he cometh and to my servant do this and he doeth it when Jesus heard it he marveled and said unto them that followed verily I say unto you I have not found so great a faith know not in Israel and I say unto you that many shall come from the East and West and shall sit down with Abraham Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven but the children of the Kingdom shall be cast out and to out of Darkness there shall be weeping and nashing of teeth now there's going to be those that according to the flesh he came to his own the Bible said and his own received him not but to as many has received him to them gave thee power to become the sons of God when he came along it was no longer the Jews versus the Gentiles the Gentile versus the Jews it was now then a a supermarket of whosoever will let him come and drink of the Water of Life freely a Jew is not a Jew that is one by according to the flesh but it's one that is a Jew according to the spirit and God there's no neither Jew nor Gentile well so be it I can prove that scripturally and Jesus said unto the Centurion Jesus said we're talking about the power of the word he didn't tell that Centon to go do this or that or the other and and and your servant will get healed I went to the hospital one time to visit the fellow and he was of another faith and um that wasn't the one I was visiting the there was two in the room that I prayed with and when I left uh he ricu me the the man of the next bed said because I I think I anoint him with oil and prayed for him and U the fellow just ridiculed him and later on his Pastor who was a priest came in and uh prayed for him and hung beads from his big toes hanging down from the uh the end of the foot of the bed and and he said as soon as the priest left that he got those beads off and stuck them under his pillow so nobody would see him well I don't say that to ridicule anybody but I'm here to tell you that uh the anointing oil don't heal anybody and Beads hanging from your toes don't heal anybody it's the power of the word Jesus spoke and this is why Jesus was was glorifying uh this Centurion he said I'm not worthy to come for you to come under my roof I know I'm a man of authority I've got 100 men under my command said just speak the word and it'll be done all you got to do is speak the word it's not all the things that you can do and Jesus said to the Centurion go thy way and as thou Hast believed so be it done unto thee and his servant was healed in the selfsame hour now re remember my uh statement I made about my belief in Miracles uh I can start I've already told you some things about the Marines and I could tell you things about this building about the miracle bricks and I could tell you about the miracle steps the the concrete truck that came when uh when not expected when we had the the steps ready and you've heard all of that so I I mean I believe I believe it with every ounce of of of and every ounce of blood in me that God is still yet The Miracle Worker understand that but he don't perform Miracles because of of some kind of shenanigan that I do that's right that's right now I had a fellow at 123 West Columbia one night he was coming through he was a preacher and he held up his Bible and he's going to Wisconsin or up the upper east or where some and he said I'm going to build a church in 30 days God sent me and said if I don't do it I'll get I'll throw my Bible away I thought oh my word you don't put God you you can't you can't put God on the spot and sometimes folks will put out a certain thing that that like God has got to do this or that let me tell you something you better ask what you ask if thy will be done he even told us to pray like that if th th will be done now when Elijah was faced with the prophets of Baal he let them go first they wanted to prove who God was and they built an altar and Elijah said who's God that answers by fire will let him be God well they prayed and they prayed and they prayed and they prayed and and and Elijah uh taunted him and said maybe your go God's asleep maybe he's on a vacation and several things and and finally they started cutting themselves and and jumped upon the altar begin to stomp it and they went through all kind of rituals screaming and hollering and trying to get God to answer by fire or he their God bail and when they finished Elijah rebuilt The Altar and said get 12 barrels of water poured on the altar till it ran around the Altar and then he just simply asked the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob to answer and the fire came down and consumed the offering and licked up the water round about now my point in this John did no Miracle but everything he said about Jesus was true I want to tell you something John if you if if you if can just say what Jesus says everything Jesus said he said it came everything that John said about Jesus uh in Luke uh 20 Luke 4:23 and he said unto them Jesus um that was my words and he said unto them and Jesus says this ye will surely say unto me this proverb physici heal thyself whatsoever We Have Heard done in capernium do also here in thy country and he said verely I say unto you no Prophet is accepted in his own country now once the Bible said he could do many mighty works because of their unbelief now verse 25 says but I tell you of a truth many widows were in Israel in the day of Elias when the heaven was shut up three years and 6 months when Great Famine was throughout all the land but unto none of them was Elias sent save unto the Serpa a city of sidon unto a woman that was a widow and many lepers were in Israel in the time of elisas the prophet and none of them was cleansed saving non the Syrian now what are we saying here Jesus is saying you're saying to me physici heal thyself and then he told them about the Widow that God miraculously provided for her but he said there were many other widows that needed but they didn't get the their answer there were many lepers in the days of nonon but only non and they were they were not of the Jewish stock either and this made it even even worse but my point is this it should increase your faith rather than decrease your faith to know that if you're carrying some kind of ailment a disease or what have you it's it's not because God's not able to do it it's not because it's because Adam put the curse of sin on us in the Garden of Eden these bodies were meant to live forever but there's going to be some that's going to be miraculously healed but there's going to be others that will not be miraculously healed now I told you to hold on now and don't let this shake your faith but let it build your faith and keep on waiting believing God for there's something Paul said for me to live as Christ and to die as gain I'm in a straight between the two where the to remain with you or go on to be with the Lord Which is far better now my life is in the hands of God I'm rather surprised that I've lived to be 87 my my daddy passed away when he was 81 or 82 and and of course uh my family have died the way they were born my oldest sister the next sister died deie was first ol was second Donald was the next one born he died and guess who's next well I I'm the next one but you see it may or may not be I don't know but it don't matter if I go or if I stay the song said I'm a winner either way Hallelujah tonight I'm able to praise God and clap my hands and praise the Lord God don't owe me one thing he don't owe me a 20 year old body he don't owe me to let not have any pain I'm in a body that let me live in and I'm going to praise him until the day that brother Jones takes me to the graveyard well let me go I'm getting beside myself now and let me give you something else here now Paul was a man that preached a man to death he preached all night midnight there's a fellow sitting in the window and Paul had gone so long the fellow went to sleep and fell out to one two stories high or three I went down and raised him from the dead now this is what a strong preacher Paul was the man that fell out the window Paul went down and raed the Bible said he was dead and Paul raised him from the dead now this same Paul had a young evangelist with him and he writes a letter to his son in the gospel Timothy and and in his his last letter second Timothy 4:20 Paul says erasus AB Bo at Corinth but trous have I left at Millennium sick now he raised one man from the dead and another man he left at Millennium sick does that mean that Paul didn't have faith he didn't believe in miracles no we obey God I believe the Lord I pray for my needs but Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us lead us not into temptation but Deliver Us from Evil for thine is the kingom the power and the glory it's all in the will of God and don't be such a shallow Christian that if you have some kind of ailment or and you don't get a me God's not really don't don't ever think that for one second he's just the choir sings that song already done enough oh Hallelujah now then another word from the Apostle Paul the man that raised a man from the dead in first Timothy 5:23 he's uh writing to his son in the gospel Timothy he says drink no longer water now this is first Timothy 5:23 drink no longer water but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities does that mean that Paul didn't have faith he didn't believe in God is that what it means no he believed in in and going according to the will of God Timothy had many infirmities is now don't tell me Paul didn't sometime another pray for his son of the Gospel but my point is it does not diminish the fact that God is The Miracle Worker he still heals he's still a miracle working God but let us not think we can be like the prophets of B that we can shout and dance or right and have some kind of ritual that is going to force God God to do pray according to the will and he said his word to heal them the back to I'm done four minutes over m a lot of time that I give myself back to the scripture that was a True Light which lith every man that cometh into the world he was in the world the world was made by him and the world knew him not he came to his own his own received did not but as many as receiv him them gave him power to become the sons of God believe on his name which were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man but of God and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth now that word dwelt among us it's interpreted in two ways depending on on which version that you're looking up the Greek and and there's it means uh a t or a tabernacle the word was made flesh and tabernacled Among Us or the word was made flesh and dwelt became a tent a tent is a temporary Dwelling Place the Tabernacle represented the Tabernacle in the wilderness and that's where God met his people but it was a temporary Dwelling Place the the the the spirit of God would move ever so often and they have to move that Tabernacle that was a temporary dwelling place for God a tabernacle or a tent the fleshly body of Jesus was a temporary dwelling place for God to dwell in you see oh Hallelujah there's one God and one mediator between God and Men the man Christ Jesus God was in Christ reconciling gr un to himself John 10:30 Jesus said I and my father are one so that word that was made flesh and dwelt was merely a temporary dwelling place for God to dwell in while he was ministering to his people on this Earth would you stand to your feet with us please oh praise the Lord praise the Lord hallelujah thank you Jesus Jesus thank you Jesus father we thank you tonight for the Blessed word of God we thank you Lord for the word Lord I accept your word Lord there's nothing I can do on my own there's nothing I can say but just speak the word as you told the Cur in whose servant was grievously vexed I'll send my word to heal him and your servant is healed you didn't even go to the house you didn't even touch him physically but he was healed Lord may we as a body of Believers believe the word of God that you are in charge You Are the Healer The Miracle Worker and you're the god of the word and you're dwelling in our hearts tonight and I do pray for each one that's requested our prayers our message tonight God is not a message of Doubt but it's a message of confirmation that your word is what does the work it's not anything I can do physically but it's your word dismiss us from this place but not from your
