I like that song I like that one I hope we do that one again soon you like that one it's going to go along with what I've come to preach cuz I believe a lot of us if not all of us and I believe probably all of us have been brought out of a whole lot of stuff and this is our this is our month of hope all all all month long the month of August we are celebrating the fact that we have a hope in Christ Jesus amen we're celebrating the fact amen that there's Deliverance there's healing there's salvation in the name of Jesus that is our hope and turn with me to Matthew chapter 9: 20 and thank you praise theme we're just going to continue right right on in this let me say a lot has been going on around here uh getting ready for school to start getting ready for movement conference I appreciate we had we had workers here uh yesterday with boom trucks and pressure washers and uh washing the outside of the building at the same time on the back half um I can't wait tonight be here tonight because when we pray through the school um you're going to see a whole lot of of new and fresh uh just creativity on the walls um the print company our our team has been meeting with a print company and uh just got some some cool things for our students this year I want you to see them tonight we walk through we pray through the school uh right here you can see there's been a lot of work thank you Pastor Hammond and the team of volunteers that he had helping him uh get this whole project together I'm excited isn't this beautiful isn't this clean looks so good sounds so good even Mama MMA told me tday today she Saidi tell you what I like this whatever y'all did to the platform she said I could hear the vocals better brother ASA there you go we move the wall forward and mamama can hear the vocals and listen as long as everybody's happy I'm happy if you're happy and me we might have a stray light moving around it's okay it's all good amen we're getting together we got to have it ready for movement conference so we got to be right and in order be at movement conference it's open it is open to this church family now you register um if you want to come to the day Services we want you to register so we know what track you're in thank you we've had well over 200 of our of our workers of our dream team staff who have already registered for that thank you um but if you want to be in the evening Services we will pack you in here I promise you I believe we're going to have hundreds and hundreds coming from across the country amen but I want you to be here it would be a shame Amen to live within driving distance of this church and not be here for movement conference it's going to be absolutely amazing so be here uh Matthew chapter 9 and verse 20 pastor and sister Carpenter let me tell you before we leave right before we read we're going to leave one it won't be quite yet though uh Pastor sister Carpenter are in Mississippi ministering uh ministering in a great church in in central Mississippi um they're going to be flying back this afternoon we'll be here for service tonight let's pray that God's safety be upon them they love you they miss you and I give them honor today we have the greatest senior pastor and first lady in all the world Amen do you believe that I know you holding your Bibles but just bang your hand against it the very best in all the world we love them and honor them Matthew chapter 9: 20 says and behold a woman which was diseased with an issue of blood 12 years came behind Jesus and touched the Hem of His Garment for she said within herself if I may touch His Garment I shall be whole then quickly turning to Mark 5: 25 and this is St Mark's perspective of the same story it simply says and a certain woman which had an issue of blood 12 years and had suffered many things of many Physicians and had spent all that she had and was was nothing bettered but grew worse when she had heard of Jesus came in the press behind and touched His Garment for she said if I may touch but his clothes I shall be whole the only difference between a Believer and an unbeliever is action the only difference between a Believer and an unbeliever is action we we can sum up this miracle in five statements y'all ready for this she heard it she said it she did it she received it she shared it she heard it she heard of the miracles of Jesus she said it she said within herself if I may if I can just get close enough to touch but a lot of people are hearing and a lot of people are saying but she did it she pressed through we're going to preach about it she pressed through and she received her healing she received it and oh I'm excited the end of my message is going to talk about she told everybody about it I'm I'm excited to preach this today this is a message of hope this is a message of healing today I just want to Simply preach on this topic uh Touch of Hope a come on somebody you like that I'm I'm going to preach with the wall today it's up in close and personal I can just get up in there thank you brother thank you brother Dale wo just just a touch of Hope let's pray together father we love you Lord I'm excited God I'm anticipating I'm looking forward to what you're going to do in this place Lord people have come I believe people are in the house today with needs and their life they have issues they've got problems maybe diseases and sicknesses and Lord God they've come expecting because they've heard of you they've heard of the miraculous hope that is in Christ Jesus I I pray right now Lord God that as I preach Lord that Faith would build that hope would build in this place and by the end of my message I'm just going to believe this altar is going to be filled with people that are going to do it and receive it oh God and share it with everybody they know in Jesus name come on if you'll agree with me if you'll believe along with me can you clap your hands and just say yes Lord yes Lord come on somebody shout yes Lord yes yes yes you may be seated in Jesus name 1 Timothy 1 And1 I just want to get this I want to make sure we understand just in case you're here today and you're not 100% sure of what I'm preaching about first Timothy 1:1 Paul says Jesus Christ is our hope Jesus is our hope there's a lot of things in this world that are trying to offer hope but there's only one true hope and his name is Jesus I I believe it was King David the Bible call God calls him the man after God's Own Heart in Psalm 42 and5 the Bible says why are you cast down David said this he said oh my soul and why are you disquised within me hope thou in God we we got to we got to preach hope today to ourselves sometimes sometimes you and I just got to look in the mirror and preach to ourself I I've said this before but sometimes we all got to be preachers it's not just the guy holding the microphone behind the pulpit sometimes we got to preach into our own minds we're about to hear a story of a woman who made the decision in her mind before she took a step into the city street she had already spoke to herself and said within herself if I can just touch God give us hope God let us look into a mirror even in difficult situations and impossible situations and say Jesus Christ You Are My Hope David he he was always preaching to himself in Psalm 31:24 he said be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart all ye that hold hope in the Lord Psalm 33:22 says let thy mercy be upon us according as we hope in thee Psalm 38:15 Again David says for in thee Oh Lord do I hope thou Wilt hear oh Lord my God once again on my soul hope thou in the Lord aren't you glad you have hope today aren't you glad you have hope uh a firm foundation we we have a God that's faithful the the singers just sang about it I know his faithfulness I've experienced his faithfulness I can testify of his faithfulness if he's been faithful to you why don't you clap your hands and just thank him come on through Applause through an ovation thank you Jesus for the hope that you give this morning if I can just get close enough to touch I I I believe some here today you came here with a need in your life that nothing is going to fix except the Hope called Christ Jesus and because of her constant loss of blood this woman that we just read about in Matthew and in The Book of Mark 12 years this this this woman's blood count would have been so low that she would have been weak and fatigued there's there's more to the story than just pressing through a crowd there's there's more to this story than her just uh getting through um a throng of people in order to get to Jesus her body was weak her body was fatigued she she had a hard time with Mobility but in her mind she had already made it up to say if I can just Touch the Hem of His Garment did you catch that not just touch him not not just have him touch me now now I believe in and you'll see tonight if you come back to the service tonight we have prayer over the sick and in and in James it tells us that if we'll call upon the elders they will anoint us that if we're sick in our bodies if we have a need they will anoint us with oil and they'll pray the prayer of faith over us and the Bible says you shall be healed through the prayer and and this woman it wasn't that she was just trying to get Jesus to touch her or to bless her or to reach out and say thou art healed she was looking to Touch the Hem of His garments so why is the Hem so important look with me in Malachi 4:2 this is the the last book in what we call the Old Testament Malachi 4 and2 this Prophet said but unto you that fear my name shall the son of righteousness that's Su n the son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings and you shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall now now this is an Old Testament prophecy and sometimes you got to do some research research to understand exactly what is being said in the prophecy but this is all about the soon coming Messiah this is the last book in the Old Testament this is right before we read the gospels this is right before Jesus would come and our our Bible would tell us of the life of Jesus and I began to study the meaning of this verse in Malachi and I read this in in the in the commentary and I want to read it verbatim to you it says the phrase healing in his wings is a metaphorical expression that signifies the restorative and the transformative power that the Messiah brings to understand the meaning of wings in this context we need to consider the culture in historical background in ancient near Eastern culture the wings of a bird were often seen as a symbol of protection shelter and care they represented the provision and the nurturing of God for his people in the Old Testament this term Wings is often used metaphorically to describe God's protective and comforting presence but this word Wings in Hebrew in the Hebrew language also means corners and so what the Jewish men understood was that they would wear these tassels on the corners of the Hem of their robes and and it was a reminder of the Covenant and the promises between they and their god Jehovah matter of fact I have a picture I want them to put on the screen because these tassels were worn on four corners of the Roe I think they got the picture from me here it comes and you can see as the woman is reaching for one of these tassels that's on the corner of the Hem of Jesus's garment just leave that picture there just for a moment because it signifies something greater than what the Jewish men and and especially the rabbis would wear these Shaws that had these corners on the hymn and and with Jesus the great Rabbi the the great teacher the great trainer the great disciple maker he had this on His Garment but it but it really meant something more because for this woman to reach for this hem and for this tassel she was making a statement about Jesus that there was healing in his Corners there was healing in his wings she she had known and had read this Prophecy from Malachi and she understood what it meant and so when she reached out to touch Jesus she was proclaiming that he was the Messiah the people had waited for all these years it was much more than just a way to get healed or a way to find Hope but she was making a statement because this woman she had been segregated from society for 12 years it was illegal for her to even be in public be for the levitical law she was still under the Old Testament law and levitical law said if you're unclean if you're unpure you it is it is illegal to be in the presence of the clean and especially in the presence of a Jewish leader or a rabbi matter of fact the L law said if you were to touch intentionally touch someone who was clean knowing that you're unclean you were to be put to death by stoning that's levitical law they still lived under this law you you know that they still lived under this law remember the woman that was caught in adultery you remember they took her before Jesus and they wanted her to be stoned they they were still living under the same levitical loss and it was just as illegal for her as an unclean person to touch someone that was clean so there was a great risk I'm going to come back to that risk but this woman who had had constant bleeding who was an outcast in society oh she was enslaved by her sickness for 12 years the Bible talks about that that that she had tried every drug on the market she had been to every physician she had gone and she had pleaded with every doctor she had gone to every Pharmacy of her day and I'm sure they had tried some experiments and and they they tried to perform tests on her to find out why she was bleeding but the bottom line says that she just grew worse and worse and she suffered in all these things but I got a revelation in reading this story and it's something that I when I go to the hospital to pray for for people this this Revelation comes to me because I I began to think to myself if you serve a creator that created the body then it's no big deal to heal the body we heard about this pastor we heard about this pastor from Indiana who was crushed last night by an ATV that rolled over on his leg and and The Story Goes that his wife was there was riding I believe an ATV behind him and and she didn't have enough strength to pull it up off of his leg and his foot and so for for maybe for hours that the ATV was on his foot crushing his foot and his leg and he's even right now in surgery they're trying to put that back together and they're they're believing and hoping there's enough blood flow there that that he can keep that foot but I just believe we serve a God that created that foot and if God created that foot it's no big deal at all for him to heal that foot he created the ligaments and the bones and the muscle structure he created the blood that's flowing into that foot I believe in Jesus name God could touch him right now brother Anthony wils I pray over you you in Jesus name I believe your lungs they said they found a blood clot in your lungs but God created those lungs God created that blood flow through his lungs I just believe if God could create that God can heal nothing is impossible for our God woo nothing is impossible she had lost everything she had spent everything oh I wish I could just preach here for just a moment somebody in this room is facing an issue in your life and you've been facing that issue for far too long maybe you've been facing that issue for 12 years maybe it's an unclean issue maybe it's an issue of Shame and separation or maybe it's an issue of of sickness in your body or disease in your body or something that happened in your past that you just can't you can't shake it off uh I want you to know that Jesus is in the house today uh the great physician is in the house today and if you will believe and have hope in him today let me give you the definition of Hope the definition of hope is to expect with confidence to expect with confidence there's a difference between Faith and Hope faith says I believe God is able hope says I believe God is able to fix my problem anybody any one of us can can look at sister Thompson this morning who's been struggling uh with cancer and has been going through all the treatments we can all look at you and say I got faith that God is going to heal you of cancer and I believe and I believe we all believe that but it's a little different for sister Thompson because sister Thompson hasn't have to has to have enough Faith and Hope to believe that God will do it for her other people's situations and problems oh it's easy to pass somebody on the shoulder it's easy to shake somebody's hand say believing for you you're on my prayer list and I'm not taking away I feel the same way and I tell people that because I do believe that God will do it but brother Namy all of the sudden when it's your life and it's your issue and it's your problem and it's your memory and it's your addiction and and it's the issue that you have oh now we got to step back because now something inside of us has got to have enough hope that's Faith with expectancy that's confidence in believing that God will do it for meoo but I'm so glad that the doctor is in the house today and he's not only a doctor of the body and a physician to heal your body he can also heal your mind he can also heal our minds today there's nothing there's no amount of sickness disease or mental anguish that God cannot fix somebody shout amen somebody shout amen amen because hope is in the house so look with me in Mark 5 in verse 27 we're going to kind of exag through this because it's very important that we see that every word in the word of God is important it says when she had heard of Jesus came in the press behind and and touched His Garment for she said if I may touch but his clothes I shall be whole watch this right here and straight way or immediately the Fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague now listen there's nothing wrong with gradual healing and I believe today that that any one of us would accept gradual healing I'm sure this woman would have gladly accepted gradual healing but that's not what happened this was an immediate straightway healing I want you to understand today and and again I believe God has God has built and created our bodies in a way that that that we can get a cut or or we can get a bruise or or we could break a bone in our body will mend itself and thank God that's healing that's healing the Creator there there's healing within our bodies thank God he created the cells and and he created everything within us that we can heal heal ourselves however there comes a moment there comes a time when our bodies cannot heal it and so then that's where Faith and Hope have got to step in and let me stop right here I I had a conversation with my friend Josh and we were talking about this and and I believe I really believe Faith begins and he said this to me yesterday he said he said I've been thinking about this Faith begins where wisdom ends because God has given the church has given us wisdom he's given us enough wisdom to call here we go to call 911 because we don't want to get too far into to Faith and Hope to think that we can't use wisdom we got to use wisdom we got to use wisdom thank God for every doctor thank God for thank God for thees thank thank God for the scientists that are that are coming up with uh with with medicines and and and and the ch therapies and all the different things the first thing we got to do is use wisdom to say hey God has given knowledge to mankind to help with healing but then when all of wisdom at the end when you've tried all you can try and that's what she did when you've gone to every doctor when you tried every every kind of medicine when you tried everything you kind oh this is where faith comes in this is where hope comes in because now she sees and she says I have got to do something about this I've got to take the next step because if I'm going to be healed if I'm going to be made whole I've got to get into the power into the presence of Jesus straightway the Fountain of her blood was dried up and the Bible says she felt it immediately and here we have Jesus in in Mark 5:30 says and immediately Jesus knowing in himself that power that virtue had gone out of him turned about in the press and said who touched me and this is what I want us to see today there's a press of people there his disciples come on his disciples said Jesus surely you realize that people are thronging us there's there's people touching us on every side how can you say who touched me and if you get nothing else out of what I've come to preach today I want you to understand there's a difference between proximity and presence we can be in the proximity of Jesus yet never be in the presence of Jesus because it's all about what you came to do there's there's people and I'm so sad to tell you this but there's people in this room who are sick who are diseased who who are struggling with issues in their life that God would like to fix for you today but you're going to walk out of this place the same way that you walked in because you're like one of these people who throng Jesus I believe they're trying to see who was coming oh oh there's that Rabbi I've heard some things about him oh I've heard talk about him in the last city that he was in I got a cousin I got a cousin that told me all about him and the people thronged him but there was only one little woman with an issue that came to him for a purpose outside of just seeing the rabbi difference between proximity and presence when we leave here today I hope if you came with an issue you don't leave with that issue I hope if you come here today and you've had thoughts of your childhood that won't let you go you can't sleep at night because they haunt you I pray you can leave this place and those thoughts don't haunt you anymore I pray that insomnia doesn't haunt you anym when you lay your head down at night on your pillow but you leave this place uh because you didn't just come in the prox of Jesus but you got in Jesus's presence and you allowed his virtue to flow out of him and into you you ought to touch the ham of His Garment you ought to grab hold of that tassel and say Jesus I'm not leaving this place until my issue is gone Jesus said in verse 34 daughter thy faith hath made thee whole go in peace and be whole of of thy plague he did not say be healed of thy plague because she was already healed he felt the power leave him he knew that she had been healed he felt The Virtue flow out of himself she didn't even touch his physical body but he felt The Virtue leave him but let me tell you something what he did say he said be Thou made whole and I looked up the definition of whole and the definition of whole is free of wound or injury or Scar the word whole means to be restored or to be mentally and emotionally sound life that has been torn apart by disease be free of wound be free of injury be free of Scar if you're alive today that's been torn apart by drugs woo being made whole beans to be restored Lord God I'm just believing somebody here today is going to be restored it's more it's so much more than just a healing but lord they're going to leave this place with peace of mind they're going to leave this place no longer segregated from your presence but Lord God from this moment on I believe in Jesus name they're going to leave this place as whole and healed but notice with me in verse 28 the Bible says for she said if I may touch but his clothes she wasn't just looking for a healing she said this I shall be whole she understood this wasn't not just this was not just something that Jesus did for her this was something she was looking for she wasn't just looking for healing she was looking to be made whole I want to be restored unto me everything I lost in the last 12 years anybody want things restored back to them that they've lost it's one thing to walk out of here and be healed it's another thing to have things restored back to you that you lost all those family members that she hadn't seen for 12 years because she wasn't allowed to live with them because she was unclean uh they're restored under her I believe there's some Sons and Daughters of people in this room today that you need reconciliation with your family members no longer do you have to be ostracized and alienated from your family but I'm believing in Jesus name that there could be restoration of families in this house uh I'm talking about sons and daughters that haven't talked to their parents for years I believe in they're going to call you and they're going to say mama I'm sorry Mama I'm I've been living this life I've been I've been running from God I've been running from you but mama I want to come come home again Daddy I want to make things right again do you believe in restoration today do you believe that your God is more than just a Healer but he's also restorer he can take scars he can take bruises he he's able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that we can ask or think uh some of you have given up on your family but your families are coming back uh your families are coming back in Jesus name let me prophesy over somebody today your children are coming home be restored in Jesus name uh let there be Hope come on let's just praise it for a moment I feel the Holy Ghost I feel God has just giving me something right here for somebody that's been struggling with mental anguish about your children you've been struggling with mental anguish about your CH there coming home in Jesus name don't give up on them don't give up on them don't give up on them you may be seated being made whole in Jesus name let me tell you something a little bit of Hope just a little bit of just a touch of Hope in your life can spread to people around you hope will spread faster than juicy gossip will ever spread you know what I'm talking about Good News doesn't doesn't spread very well 10 people get the Holy Ghost in This Place today he goes on social media we might get a we might get some thumbs up we might get some likes we might get a few shares but something bad goes down in this place this morning there won't be a person in Singapore that had heard about it but hope because there's people listen we leave these four walls we are living in a community of hopelessness we are living in a community of people that have tried everything and they're hopeless which is why we're getting them in this this house oh all the month of August that's why we're making such a big deal if you got invited here today you ought to thank God that God saw fit to put you in this house this morning because there's hope here there's a lot of hopelessness out there but there's hope in here and hope begins to spread matter of fact somebody gets healed in this place this morning I just believe in our community people are going to find out about it I believe you set this place on fire people from all over the county are going to come watch it burn oh you better believeing you ever you ever watch people chasing fire trucks do just something about it something about the excitement woo where's this truck headed lights Sirens where they headed to I got to go see where they're headed to there's something about hope it spreads because in Mark 5:35 the very next verse it takes place if you will you got to imagine with me we still have a throng of people throng and Jesus and his disciples and right here the woman has just touched the Hem of His Garment she's weeping in Joy because she's been healed and made whole but there's a man named jarus or gyrus whatever you want to call him that's looking and watching what's happening to the woman because he's already said something to Jesus he's already told Jesus that his daughter his 12-year-old daughter is sick and about to die but he's witnessed what Jesus just did for this woman and look right here while he yet spake while Jesus is still healing the woman and giving her hope and making her whole there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said thy daughter is I'm G to go ahead and say this is now dead you thought you came to Jesus because she was sick brother Ferguson but now she's dead Why troubl Us th thou the master any further why are you troubling Jesus why why you troubling this Rabbi why you troubling this healer she don't need a healing your daughter is dead but as soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken by the servant he said unto jaras under the ruler of the synagogue Be not Afraid only believe you you remember what I told you the difference between a Believer and an unbeliever is he said only believe there's got to be some action he said listen I need to go to your house I know I know all hope seems lost but I need you to take me to your daughter because hope woo hope spreads around us when we begin to see other people with miracles signs and wonders and living a life of a testimony faith is believing that God is able hope is believing that God is able to do it for me so I would like to tell you the rest of this story but instead I'm going to sing it because I enjoy to sing when I preach and this so happens to be one of my favorite songs ever written and of fear grip the crowd that day at Jerry's home when the doctor shook his head and said she's gone you you could feel the mother's heartbreak you could hear them cry and mourn her little girl was only 12 years old but somewhere in the distance outlined against the sun there came a man on a mission from the throne they said look somebody's coming but what they did not know it was a promise coming down there dusty road there's a promise coming down their dusty road from his holy hands healing virtue flows he's got the key to what you need death and hell he will defeat there's a promise coming down your dusty road so The Story Goes On so Wonder turned to mocking when Jesus did speak he said your daughter's not dead she's just asleep then he turned to the unbelievers and he told them all just go home they heard him say leave me in death alone and then he laid his hand upon the child he looked death straight in the eye he said all power in heaven and earth belongs to me and with a voice that sound like thunder he C death aunder and he said little girl rise and be healed for there's a promise coming down your dusty road with his holy hands healing virtue flows he's got the key to what you need death and hell he will defeat woo there's a promise coming down down your dusty road now I don't know about you but when I hear that song and I think about the doubters being cast out of the house where only those that had hope only those that had hope remained in the room only those that had Faith remained in the room in Jesus he said I know there's a lot of people thronging there's a lot of people in the proximity but I just need people that want to truly be in my Pres pres and receive my power and be healed healed by my virtue I wish somebody today would realize there's a promise coming down your dusty road H there's a promise he's walked into this house here today and if you will get in his presence and if he will Touch the Hem of His gar yes stand with me stand with me Mark 6 and 56 now you you heard me say she heard of it she said it within herself she did it she received it and the last thing she did she told everybody about it watch this right here how do I know I tell you how I know Bible says and whether soever Jesus entered into a village to a city even into a country they laid the sick in the streets and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border the castle of His Garment I wish somebody right here oh my God the healer is in the house come on if God does something for you you can't hold your peace if God heals you you can't hold your peace you got to tell everybody about it if he raises your daughter from the dead you can't hold your peace the Bible says that they would put the sick out into the street and they were all reaching for the Hem of Jesus's garment if they could but touch the H the Bible says they were healed come on somebody close your eyes as tight as you can there is someone in this place today you've been been hurting too long you've been suffering too long the devil's been lying to you too long he's been telling you to give up to give in there's no hope for you there's no hope for your wife there's no hope for your husband there's no hope for your healing H there's no hope for your deliverance you're just going to have to stay addicted you're just going to have to stay addicted but Jesus is saying H if you'll get into my presence uh if you bring some hope into the street there's a promise coming down you're Dusty woo I believe there's a I believe there's a miracle in the house today but you got to be desperate like the woman was desperate uh you got to be desperate enough to say God I know what the doctor's report says but whose repor will you believe the song says We Shall Believe uh the report of the Lord whose report will you believe we shall believe the report of the Lord uh his report says I am healed uh his report says I am fill come on you got to believe the report of the Lord in this place uh why don't you close your eyes real tight uh without looking around come on pray over your need right now if there's somebody nearby you that needs the Holy Ghost why don't you put your hand on their shoulder saints of God pray over one another we need one another hope is spreading I want to spread like a pandemic in this place today let Hope spread the devil is a liar the devil is a liar we're not going to listen to his lies he's going to try to convince you to stay by the wayside he's going to try to convince you just to watch Jesus walk through but you got to say no matter what no matter what I got to get to Jesus no matter what I got to get my healing I can't go home sick I can't go home weary I can't go home depressed I can't go home oppressed I can't go home in any other way but in the way of Deliverance yes yes yes yes yes healing is here healing is here healing is here healing is here come on come on come on pray say I receive it I receive it right now let your power flow through me let your power flow through me I receive come on come on I've given us more than enough time to have an extended altar service today I've given us more than enough time to have an extended altar service today come on don't leave here like you came God forbid you leave here like you Cameo hey Hope thou in God hope thou in God oh my soul be not dismayed hope th in God hope hope hope hope hope is in the house hope is in this house come on that's right altar workers I see you all over this house that's right altar workers come on make use of the Holy
