amen amen he is worthy amen give pastor and first lady honor tonight give Pastor Hammond Pastor Nolan their wives and families all the church staff that works so hard to lead this great church thank you 2023 has been a great year put your hands together thank you every Ministry worker we have hundreds hundreds of ministry workers from the front of this campus to the very back 80,000 Square ft and then we got workers that work the lawns all summer long in the springtime in the fall we got workers on the fields we got we got workers in the playground we got work on the whole I don't know 25 some odd Acres we got people all around that just work hard all year round amen and I agree with first with with pastor and say thank you so much for all your hard work uh turn with me to Isaiah chapter 61 And1 I I don't want to preach a long time tonight but I feel God has given me a word for this last Sunday night of the month and I'm just believing I'm believing that God is going to speak and then I I know he's going to do a great work in this altar tonight when we have our prayer line and I believe someone's going to get filled with the Holy Ghost tonight I I believe if you if you truly were hungry to receive the Holy Ghost you could walk through this prayer line tonight at the end of this message and you could be filled bu to overflowing with something that's going to change your life forever and when I say forever I mean for eternity not just for a lifetime but for eternity your life will your life will be changed in Jesus name Isaiah 61 And1 such a familiar passage one of my favorites the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach Good Tidings unto the meek he has sent me to bind up the Broken Heart Ed to Proclaim Liberty to the captives in the opening of the prison to them that are bound and then if you will turn into the New Testament Luke 4 verse1 14 we're going to hear this again but we're going to hear it come out the the mouth of of the Savior the one this was about Luke 4:14 says and Jesus returned in the power of of the spirit into Galilee and there went out a Fame of him through all the region round about and he taught in their synagogues being glorified of all and he came to Nazareth where he had BR where he had been brought up came back to his hometown came came back to the village and as his custom was Pastor he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up for to read and there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah and when he had opened the book he found oh he looked he found the place where it was written the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor Heath sent me to heal the brokenhearted to preach Deliverance to the captives recovering of sight to the blind to set at Liberty them that are bruised and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord verse 20 says and he closed the book gave it again to the minister and sat down in the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on Jesus and he began to say unto them this day is scripture fulfilled in your ears and all bear him witness and wondered at the gracious Words which proceeded out of his mouth and they said is not this Joseph's son again the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord ha anointed me I I want to preach in this very last Sunday this very last service in 2023 my Tittle is simply new year fresh anointing New Year I believe we're going to have a fresh anointing do you believe that I not just for the church body I'm talking about for myself personally for you personally I believe today if if we will make up in our mind if we will listen to the word of God preached tonight I just believe there's going to be a fresh a new anointing a new year a new anointing oh my God I feel the Holy Ghost right now I believe somebody could be changed tonight uh I believe somebody could put into action what's inside of them tonight I believe that power could come upon you if you've been filled with the Holy Ghost I believe there's a new anointing coming your way why don't you just slip your hand up and and out loud I need you to pray an Apostolic prayer with me like a Apostolic CH lift up your voice and say Lord speak to me Lord my Ser Lord I'm your servant oh God and I'm listening to your words tonight Jesus Lord I I want you to feed me come on pray this prayer Lord feed me Lord God I I want to do more in 2024 than I did in 2023 I I believe next year is going to be greater than this year I believe the blessings the favor of God of next year are going to be even greater than this year but most importantly I want your anointing in my life stronger than I've ever felt it I want it to be more powerful than it's ever been before in the year 2024 in Jesus name come on if you agree with me that this is your prayer that this is your desire oh just give God one more praise before you're seated and lift up your voice one more time I need to hear you lift up your voice just one more time saints of God yes Lord God this is our desire yes Lord hear us oh God speak and hear our desire tonight in Jesus name everybody shout amen you may be seated in the house of the Lord I don't know it was probably about three or four years ago uh Pastor Hammond and myself we went to a went to a conference and and I'll just go ahead and tell you up front I try to go I we try to go to to a couple conferences a year we try to go uh to to a a conference an Apostolic conference where we're going to be fed the word of God where where you can eat the meat eat and there ain't no bones and then and then we also like to go and just uh we like to kind of sometimes just see how other Sunday schools are working and how other youth programs are working and how other Outreach programs are working because I do believe that we can get ideas we don't believe no no we we like the methods we we don't believe the doctrine but we do sometimes enjoy using the methods and we were we were at a conference and let me tell you something we we won't go back to this conference because we didn't know exactly what we're getting ourselves into but the main speaker got up and he announced to the crowd during his main session that the anointing of God was no longer for the church he said he said that was Old Testament that was for Kings and Priests and Ministry he said but that's not for the New Testament Church and what was so interesting was you would have thought that that myself and Pastor Hammond would have been the only ones that were against what he was saying but that's not the case there were some good Baptists and good uh Church of God and church of Christ and there are some other good denominal people they in the crowd and you could hear a murmur begin to take place in the house of disagreement about the fact that the anointing was not for the church today man it got to the place where the speaker was visibly upset brother John Stone that the crowd disagreed with what he was saying but everybody in the crowd was like oh no because here here this is what I knew that maybe a lot of people didn't know in the crowd I understood this this man does not have the Holy Ghost and if you don't have the Holy Ghost brother M I kind of understand why you would think the anointing was not for the church but if you have the Holy Ghost because it takes the holy there's no anointing outside of the Holy Ghost what what is anointing well well I'm glad you ask because I I first off let me tell you what anointing is not when I was in Bible School way back in the N late 1900s we we would have Chapel Services and I remember we judged anointing by how many times people would stand up while you were preaching I need some Bible school graduates to kind of just nod your head at me you were brother Elijah you were anointed singer if you could cause the congregation to rise to their feet early in your song that was what that's what we judged an anting by how many times did they did they clap their hands how many times did somebody jump to their feet how loud could they scream and and how how far could the saliva come out of their mouth matter of fact when I when I think back over the the good preachers at bible school those were the guys that we considered were the good preachers and I just wonder I just wonder what God was thinking when we would Pat ourselves on the back and Pat each other on the back and and talk about how anointed we were in man you were anointed boy that Chapel service you you tore it up you you brought you you you even brought the dean down to his knees that's not what anointing is here's what anointing is anointing is simply activating the Holy Ghost that's inside of you because the Holy Ghost now now a lot of people just stop they they they feel like when they receive the gift of the Holy Ghost they speak in another tongue as evidence and and they receed the Holy Ghost they somehow feel like they've graduated when they don't really realize that all it is is a birth certificate right and they they feel like okay uh tell me what I do now I've got the Holy Ghost I got that box checked off but but the Bible is very clear that the Holy Ghost was meant to be activated it was meant to something needed to happen Faith need to be mixed with the Holy Ghost believing had to be mixed with the Holy Ghost ghost matter of fact the greatest miracles in the Bible if you read through the New Testament the greatest Miracles were when it was like something like Peter and John as they're walking into the synagogue and and they come across a man who's laying from his mother's womb and and and the man is begging for alms and and what did they say they they said Silver and Gold Have I None but such as I have they were activating the holy ghost that was within them and so when when I when I begin to preach about anointing tonight I I want us to understand that that I'm not just talking about preachers I'm not just talking about even teachers I I'm talking about the Holy Ghost ought to be active in every single one of us oh yeah the the to to truly be activated it's what makes you effective in your ministry whatever your ministry is it's a spirit of God directing your footsteps it's a spirit of God directing your mind and your speech it's it's a spirit of God leading you to the broken and to to the bound that's what the Holy Ghost that's what the anointing does matter of fact it's called in in Luke 4:18 it's called the unction of the Holy Ghost it's it's this unction that what you say when you say it how you say it where to go how to go when to go these are all things that take place that there's an unction of the Holy Ghost that will lead you listen my desire in 2024 is to be anointed like I've never been anointed before I want to use the ho Holy Ghost that's within me I don't want to become dormant I don't want to be do something that I talk about a good story that I was at Youth Camp 25 years ago I was at Strong Tower Youth Camp some of you young people might have a great story about Strong Tower let me tell you something I'm so thankful for your testimony of what God did for you and when you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost but it wasn't meant to just be a story you tell about something that happened in the past the Holy Ghost is meant to be something that's acting activated daily in our life I was I was trying to um of all things I my daughter has a has a bed and and the bed is metal but but there's a glass globe that that sits on top as an ornament on top of the post and and it kept on falling off and I kept on putting some super glue on and I put it back on it would last about two or three days and and next thing you know that thing would fall back off again and so I finally I got to ask him brother cogdal I said brother cogal what do I do how how do I get this to stay how do I get this to stay and he said you're going to have to find a glue where there's activation taking place epoxy I believe it's called where there's two different liquids that come together and and by themselves they will not there's no power by themselves but when they come together and there's a tube and there's there's two tubes side by side and when you when you press the syringe they come together into one tube and and I glue that on and and wouldn't you know it it hasn't fallen off yet because activation took place woo oh somebody in this room tonight I wish you would realize what is inside of you if you've been filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost uh if you've got that power within you God help us in 2024 activate it like we haven't activated it this year no I'm not preaching down at anyone I promise you I'm not because in my own life there are times when I take inventory of my own life and I think to myself uh why isn't there more power in my life uh and I begin to wonder what exactly is it that activates the Holy Ghost well I'll tell you what it is it's prayer it's studying the word of God it's fasting it's being faithful to the house of God these are all activators that causes the Holy Ghost that's inside of me to well up and be all right maybe you already know know this I don't think some of you do because I I look out sometimes and I wonder to myself how can we be filled with the Holy Ghost and not react to the Holy Ghost when the Holy Ghost Falls something happen when the spirit of God Falls in a house and if you're filled with the same spirit that is falling there ought to be some kind of activation that happens there ought to be something that you can't contain you can't just sit back and watch a choir sing you can't just be entertained by music you can't just say well I wish the sound was this way or that way I wish the lights were this this way I wish that wasn't moving so much on sometimes when the Holy Ghost just Falls you can't help but to shut your eyes and just say God activate your spirit in me uh let the anointing power work through me every single person has got to strive to be anointed again I'll say it again A lot of times we think about preachers and singers and ministers being anointed but if you're a Sunday school teacher we need you to be anointed oh yes it was Larry Carter let me I want to read you some lyrics through a song I begin it came back to my mind this morning when I got to thinking about uh how powerful a Sunday school teacher really is Larry Carter one of the greatest electric guitar players and songwriters of Pentecost he wrote a song called Sunday school girl have you have you heard that song I'm I'm going to read this lyric lyc because these lyrics are so powerful because I I need a Sunday school teacher in the room to understand how powerful the Holy Ghost is inside of you verse one says she's trying to be real quiet as she hurries across the yard Mom and Dad are sleeping off and evening at the bar she's wearing that same dress that she wore a week ago but after seven days and maybe nobody else will know she anxiously awaits anticipates on her face when the bus tops the hill A smile will take its place the chorus goes she's a Sunday school girl in a Friday night World in an ocean of Despair she's found a pearl teacher and Jesus have become her friend and someday this day will never end she's in her own little world she's a Sunday school girl verse two says she tries to be real quiet as she comes back through the yard two hours of Love locked inside her heart if only she could find the word words that she longs to say then maybe mommy and daddy would change as the dawn begins to break she can hardly wait she goes from Hell To Heaven every Sunday then back to the chorus she's a Sunday school girl in a Friday night World in in an ocean of Despair she has found a pearl teacher in Jesus have become her friend and someday this day will never end she's in her own little world she's a Sunday school girl listen we need anointed Sunday school teachers because you're the only Jesus some of these children will ever get to know you're the only thing that brings them hope you're the only thing that brings them life uh they have no hope at home uh but they can come to church every Wednesday night uh and come to Wednesday night children's groups uh they could come to church every Sunday morning and come to kids quest uh why is that because the anointing Must Fall on every single teacher I thank God you may be seated I thank God for our Strong Tower our student leaders I thank God for the Hammond and they have such a wonderful staff uh oh that work so hard uh but let me tell you something students thinking that you are cool does not replace the need for anointing I've been a youth pastor I remember the feeling students telling you that your shoes have nice drip students telling you that your talk was busting and everybody above about 25 is like what busting and drip what come on we got to go be we got to go be on there something inside of us it's not about the reaction or how people feel we did or or man I'll tell you he's one of my favorite teachers who who cares what really matters is that the anointing is upon you and they can feel the spirit of God flowing through you and when you begin to speak into their life things in their life begin to change we need anointed uh Holy Ghost filled uh and I believe we have them but let me get out let me get out of the church world we need Holy Ghost filled co-workers that have anointing your coworker deserves somebody standing beside them working at the factory that's filled with the Holy Ghost and has anointing upon them that when they have a marital issue or one of their kids comes down with their sickness or they they might lose a parent to death they've got somebody next to them that has the anointing power that leads them to speak and talk on what they need to talk on to help you through your need that's what anointing does it leads us it guides us it puts us in the right place at the right time to help us minister to everybody around us I look out I look out tonight I I I see some I see some some wives that don't have their husbands here tonight I see some husbands that might not have their wives here tonight let me tell you something we need anointed spouses that you could go home to an unsaved loved one an unsaved husband an unsaved wife maybe a unsaved child and you can be the light in their life you could be the one oh listen I listen I know it could be so easy to be disgruntled when you are living with somebody who's backsliding or living somebody that that doesn't want to live for God but somewhere along the way the Holy Ghost has got to be activated within us that we begin to say it's not about my will and how I feel about this situation God I want you to give me the words to speak in love give me the words to speak to bring hope 1 John 2 and2 says but ye have an unction which means the anointing from the Holy One and ye know all things what this simply means is when you have the anointing of God working through you it makes you enlightened listen it's not our knowledge it's not our wisdom and what we know but it's God speaking through us come on in 2024 I believe that every person in this room could be a minister to the people you rub shoulders with every day you might say well I don't have a I don't have a Bible college education or I don't I don't I don't understand the word of God maybe like you do well let me tell you something there were preachers there were pastors and Bishops in the old and days who did even make it through grade school but they preach with such wisdom and such knowledge they could barely read the Bible some of them couldn't even read some of them had had have a Bible read to them but they were some of the greatest preachers you've ever heard because they allowed the unction of the Holy Ghost to speak through them they allowed the anointing to speak through them I've come to tell somebody tonight allow God allow Divine wisdom to enter into your mind uh you ought to teach more Bible studies in 2024 than you've ever never taught you got to stop coming up with an excuse that you don't know enough or you haven't taught enough you got to just step out in faith and just believe that the anointing of the Lord will come upon you and your Holy Ghost will be activated and you will begin to speak things that maybe you never even thought about that's the beauty brother Johnson that's the beauty of of preaching because sometimes you get in the pulpit and things aren't even in your notes and you just allow that unction to fill you the next thing you know you're preaching stuff and you're like I don't even know where that came from but it sure didn't come from me I must have read that in the word of God and God brings stuff back to your mind and God even sometimes reveals stuff to you while you're in the middle of talking while you're in the middle of witnessing you just got to open up your mind and open up your heart to God and say God I refuse to come up with excuses why I can and I'm just going to allow you to take my lips uh and take my tongue and speak through me woo somebody say yes it's called The anointing but anointing is not all that we must strive for we need a fresh anointing that's what I really come to preach about tonight we need a a new anointing we need the the next anointing matter of fact in Psalm 92 And1 this is David speaking in Psalm 92 and10 he begins to tell us of the different levels of anointing it says but my horn shalt thou exalt like the Horn of a unicorn and that's not a mystical horse there would be a there would be a single horned rhinoceros that that's the horn that you would see as they would pour out that oil he said I shall be Anointed with fresh oil I'm going to be Anointed with fresh oil he he understood that there was more than one level of anointing he understood that that he could not be satisfied with yesterday's anointing he understood if he was going to have a spiritual walk with God he had to be continually progressing it's called continual progression if we ever get into the place where we feel we've got enough that's where stagnation begins to to form and begins to happen that's that's when people's walk with God becomes lukewarm when they allow themselves to think they've arrived and that the anointing that they have is good enough but I'm here to preach tonight that yesterday's anointing is not good enough you've always got to strive for a fresh anointing yesterday's anointing brought you through what you had to get through yesterday but today there must be a fresh anointing it would be the enemy's great pleasure to see us enter 2024 and try to rely on the same anointing that sustained Us in 2023 uh but I began to read about the three anointings uh of David level one anointing I want you to look with me in 1st Samuel 16:13 and and I would say that every single person in this room is probably familiar with David's first anointing because we meet d Avid as a as a young Shepherd boy we love to preach about I love to pre listen I love to preach about David because David was a worship leader and I just love to preach about worshippers and and those that bring other people into the presence of God but David when he was anointed he was in the field and he was called into the home by the prophet Samuel 1st Samuel 16:13 says then Samuel took the Horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethren and the spirit of the Lord Came Upon David from that day forward I I want to First Look at the the The First beginning of this verse because when he came in and when Samuel began to pour out that anointing oil upon him now don't don't don't don't be don't be confused with what we do to pray over the sick this this was not where we we put anointing oil upon the forehead and pray this was where they took that horn that that rhinoceros horn that Rams Horn they they they they F the horn up with oil and they would pour it out over the head of the one one being anointed and it would run down it run down their face it run down over the clothing and it would go all the way down to the sandals and it would it would create a pool of of oil around them it was the anointing but right here I don't believe it was by any accident that it says it was in the midst of his Brethren and not just Brethren it was in the midst of his older brothers he was baby boy he was the one that should have been out doing all the work while while the older brothers were lounging he was the one out at daddy Daddy's sheep out in the in the No Man's Land out in the wilderness out on the other side on the other side of the pasture that's where he belonged uh but his brothers all his brothers I can only imagine what they were thinking because the prophet already had each one of them had walked and stepped before the prophet and the prophet said you're not him the next one stepped up he said you're not him the next one oh no you're tall you're goodlooking you've got you check all the boxes but you're not him but oh it was David it was the run of the family it was it was it was the youngest of the family that came in the Bible talks about him being Ruddy the Bible talks about him just he com in on the field probably all tan his hair all musked up he walks in in the prop that he's the one he's God's anointed he pours the oil over him and it's right there when David began to feel the jealousy of his brothers but let me tell you something we too have people around us and have those around us that grew up with us and they're wondering oh who is this and why does he think he's going to be the anointed one even Jesus did you catch the the opening text even Jesus came back to his hometown and people looked at him and thought what is this not the Carpenter's son isn't this just a boy he been working in the carpenter shop I I've been bringing stuff to his shop all my life this this young man he isn't this Jesus The Carpenter's son isn't it true and I've heard even rumors that his mom and dad weren't even married when she came up pregnant with him you know there were some things being said about Jesus we read in our text that he returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee do you know where he returned from I'll tell you where he returned from he returned from being baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist and then being led out into the Wilderness by the spirit of God and being tempted and he was fasting and preparing himself for 40 days and 40 nights when the Bible talks about him returning he was returning oh he was returning from praying and fasting he was returning from getting himself ready for his upcoming Ministry because that's the kind of thing that has to take place before you're anointed something has to happen in your life there has to be communion with a god of power I love what it says that he returned in the power of the spirit where the spirit of God is there's anointing of God and he proved himself uh oh he defeated Temptation he defeated Satan in the Ws of the enemy and here he is returning to his people but he is rejected and here I begin to think oh Jesus or I could think about David or we could preach about Joseph we could preach about all those that have people all around them that were jealous but let me tell you something the naysayers around you you have a choice if you allow them to get into your head oh yeah to spoil the anointing that's been poured out upon I'm glad that Jesus listen the Bible talks about that Jesus went back to his home land his home City and he could not do many miracles there because of the lack of faith however what it does say is he he healed all he could and he said you know what I'm going to go somewhere that wants to be healed I'm going to go somewhere that wants to be saved I want to go somewhere that wants to be delivered and I think about Ecclesiastes chapter 10 and verse number one it says dead flies cause the the ointment of the Apothecary to send forth a stinking Savor and what this simply means is when flies would get into that oil into that ointment it would let forth a horrible smell and so it was their job to make sure the Flies didn't get into the oil what I look and see right here in the New Testament in the 21st century I think I've got to protect my mind uh and keep thoughts of negativity out of my mind uh it doesn't matter what anybody thinks about you it doesn't matter how they look at you it doesn't matter if they know your past or not if you'll let that Holy Ghost anointing inside of you wo if you're protected from the Flies if you're protected from the thoughts if you're protected from negative thinking I know he's just a carpenter son I know you have no idea who he really is but if you could just see the power that he offers the first level of anointing is the calling into your ministry and I'm not just preaching about Pulpit preachers I believe that everybody I've already said it I believe everybody is a minister oh level one anointing it isn't a glamorous anointing it's total obscurity it's a calling that's in total obscurity but level one level one anointing is what prepares you for what God's going to do in level two anointing it's level one anointing when nobody sees you fight the bear and defeat the bear and tear the bear apart with your own hands David nobody sees you defeat the lion with your bare hands nobody sees you do that you are on the back side of the Wilderness but it's during these times uh it's during these times when David began to strengthen himself in the Lord It's during these times that he began to write the Psalms songs spiritual hymns it was in this time that he taught himself how to play musical instruments it was in this time of preparation that got him ready for the very woo for the very next anointing because a lot of people have never heard about level two anointing but in 2 Samuel 2 and4 David received a fresh an additional anointing a Next Step anointing look with me right here it says in the men of Judah this is years later after he had already been anointed by Samuel the Bible says the men of Judah came and there they anointed David King over the house of Judah do you know what Judah means I thought this this could not there could not be there could not be a better man to be anointed king over praise than David come on think about about this this was the very first worship leader this was the very first choir director this was the very first Orchestra conductor this was the guy this was the one that taught the people how to worship God in song and In Praise he taught him how to dance and I love this right here because David didn't say oh hold on fellas put your oil away I've already been anointed he didn't say listen I appreciate you gentlemen but what you don't know is the great prophet Samuel already anointed me and I don't need your anointing oh that's not what he said I believe he just knelt down and he said oh go ahead and anoint me I know I've had an anointing last season I know 5 10 years ago I was anointed by the prophet but I need a fresh I need a brand new anointing I need to be anointed king over praise I want to be a king over over pray I want to be the one that ushers in praise to a holy God fresh anointing that goes beyond the initial calling it only happens when you join yourself to praise and you join yourself to worship and you join yourself to prayer and fasting and intercession when you when you desire the gifts of the Spirit uh and you desire the fruit of the spirit to come alive uh when you desire Holiness uh and righteousness uh and you become faithful in the kingdom of God that's a Judah anointing now listen you're never going to get to your third anointing until you understand that you got to go through the second anointing I've never seen someone who wasn't a worshipper succeed I've never seen it I talked about Sunday school teachers I talk about I'll talk about youth leaders I I'll talk about small group leaders I I talk about those that are are testifying in the free class everyone that I've ever seen anointed and used of God were always worshippers they were always praisers because they had that second anointing upon their life and they just understood what their role was in the kingdom of God David said oh Judah Brethren of Judah all men of Judah it would be oh it would be an honor if you would anoint me as your king and sure enough he received his second anointing woo thank God for the anointing of praise and worship but then we come to the third anointing we find that in 1 Chronicles 11 and3 he received yet another anointing a lot of people a lot of people read their Bibles and and they don't even realize that David was anointed multiple times but here we are in 1 Chronicles 11:3 it says therefore came all the Elders of Israel to the king to Hebron and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the Lord and they anointed David King over Israel according to the word of the Lord by Samuel it was his third anointing that confirmed his first anointing it was his third anointing it was when they actually said okay not only have you been called into this ministry brother Kenny but now it's time for you to start working your ministry it's time for you to start being the king over the land now I know when Samuel when he poured the anointing oil over you that just got in your mind that God was for you and that he was going to be on your side and that his Spirit would fall fresh upon you but now it's time to put into action everything that you've been working on everything you've been practicing everything you've been preparing for oh the third level confirms the first level the doubs listen the doubters can now stop doubting however the haters are going to continue to hate let me tell you something 1 chonicles 14:8 it says when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over Israel all the Philistines went up to seek David wo here comes the enemy don't you know when you step into that third anointing that's when the enemy starts showing up when he hears that you've been anointed in your third level of anointing now you're not on the back side of the desert no more oh you're not just a worshiper and a praiser leading an ark but now all a sudden you're the king now all of a sudden you're the one that's making the decisions that God is speaking through the fresher our anointing the harder the enemy is going to fight us listen for somebody in this room if you will take me serious tonight I will say your life in 2020 24 it may not be easy you might come against Devils you ain't never come across before but I like mother-in law you say it all the time another level meets another devil every time you climb that ladder every time you get higher in the Lord every time you give something every time you sacrifice something more every time you reach that next anointing the devil looks out uh the Philistines look out and the Bible says all of the Philistines came to find David why did they come to find David they thought if we could snuff him out right now if we could get rid of him right now he's not going to do what we know he can do but I'm so thankful for the mercy of God because Psalm 1850 says great Deliverance giveth he to his King and showeth mercy to his anointed to David and to his seed forever more Psalm 89 and 20 says I have found David my servant withold holy oil have I anointed him I want you to know you might have some trouble in 2024 but if you just say it's worth it it's worth every struggle oh it'll be worth it all I said it will be worth it all that beautiful glorious day you want to be anointed like David I believe everybody in this room would say yes yes I need that anointing then you got to walk in the footsteps of David oh yeah now listen we used to sing a song girl when the spirit of the Lord moves upon my I will dance like David danced the spirit of the Lord moves upon my heart I'll dance like listen dancing's easy try walking in David's footsteps Anybody Can Dance but walking in David's footsteps you're going to have to face some struggles listen if you want a David size anointing you got to walk through the same footsteps that David walked through you know a lot of times we hear this and this is just and I understand I understand how people think but but my wife many times has been approached by by mothers of of of young daughters and and and they they said Hey sister ericon would you just would you take my my daughter's hands and pray the gift of the piano into them don't you wish it was that easy you want to play the piano you're going to have to take lessons you're going to have to learn your scales it's going to take years I tell you what I've heard this too at our general conference Bishop Carpenter come lay your hands upon my son that he'll have the same anointing you have are you sure you want the same anointing he has I just wonder I wonder if if Pastor Corp would just take one of those young men by the head and just say Lord I pray that he'll have to walk to church because his his brother who has the car is at the skating rink dating worldly girls Lord I I I I I pray I pray that he's he's praying in his room and his his brother will pray play Loud obnoxious rock and roll music on the other side of the Wall come on come on somebody you want the anointing of the bishop I I I pray I pray that that when he's a teenager he will lose his best friend and his father and you'll have to watch his father die of cancer come on y'all follow me when a when a bishop prayed I pray that that that he'll have to watch his baby brother go into the court system and he'll have to watch a judge bring a gabble down and a jury convict his brother of first-degree murder he'll have to go all the newspaper articles that are going to come out about the situation and his family name is going to have to be in the paper for this you know sometimes we look for the easy route Lord just give me that give me that stage three anointing Lord Here I Am Lord I finally showed up the church prayer meeting I'm ready for it Lord I'm I'm here my hands are open pour out that Holy anointing upon me Lord give me The Bishop's anointing my God there is such a process that you must go through there's such a process that I must go through in order to get that kind of an anointing and I think back over people I I think I think like people of Bishop Billy MC's I think of people like sister Vesta Mangin I think of these pillars of the Gospel of the kingdom of God I look at them and I I say oh God I wish so bad what would it be like to have the anointing of Bishop M or sister Vesta Mangan she she's in her mid90s she still drives herself from state to state uh and preaches at conferences I don't know if I've ever heard a more anointed person in the you listen to Sister Vesta Mangan she begins to teaching and speaking and sometimes even preach about prayer and you'll get convicted so quickly because there's a reason why she is so anointed is because she put hours and hours into prayer she fasted for days and days at a time she interceded we got to have the same anointing and if we're going to have the same anointing we got to do what they did to get the anointing we can't just think that it's going to be pray into our lives we can't think that Grandma praying for us in our morning prayers is going to give us anointing there has to be a process uh there has to be an anointing of a calling uh there has to be an anointing of worship and praise and then we've got to do something with it we've got to allow God to take the anointing and create in us a Ministry hey woo come on I feel the Holy Ghost in This Place I feel there's at least four or five of you that could really receive this tonight uh maybe not every single person but I believe there's somebody in this room tonight they can say God I'm not content where I am I'm not satisfi where I am I want more anointing but there's got to be a crushing that takes place there's got to be a crushing that takes place uh oil oil oil never comes easy oil never comes easy I stopped by the store today and I got me I got me some extra virgin olive oil it only cost me $66.99 9 cents but if you asked what it cost to make this oil there's some there's some olives in some trash can somewhere that are beaten and bruised and crushed we want this come on Pastor just give me a bottle give me this right here this is what I want this is what I need if I'm going to do the ministry I'm going to do I need you just come on come on give me some give me some $6.99 oil oh there's some there's a process there's some crushing that goes on woo there's some long days there's some long nights there's some morning of interceding there's sometimes when you're crying and you're weeping and you've got sorrow over a lost loved one that just won't wake up there's a lost loved one in your life and you're interceding for them it takes time there's an effort wasn't it the disciples that went out and they thought they're just going to lay hands on the sick and everybody's just going to recover because they saw Jesus do it came back to Jesus and said hey hey what's up are you say something about power I'm G to add a little bit here but but this is what this is what Jesus man he said hey has there been any preparation for the gifts that you feel that you deserve Jesus said there's some things there's some demons that ain't going to come out unless there's some prayer and there's some fasting there's going to be some time there's there's going to to be some crushing there's going to be a process there's going to have to be some olives oh my God there's got to be some olives to get into a cross state where there's nothing left inside of them oh the price we're going to have to pay for fresh anointing church family 2024 I just believe listen I'm an optimist pastor preached about it this morning I'm an optimist I believe it's going to be the greatest year we've ever had I do I believe it's going to be the greatest year we've ever had and with that I'm just going to tell you here comes a disclaimer here comes the warning it's coming across the screen right now if it's going to be the greatest year we've ever had all hell is going to break loose that's I believe this time next year I believe we're going to have 100 hund our attendance is going to jump but there's going to be a lot of crushing there's going to be a lot of sacrifice there's going to be a lot of praying going on January the 11th through the 31st there's going to be 21 day Prayer Revival that's going to have to start this year off right there's going to be Bible reading that's going to take place every day we're going to have to get into God's word and study it like we've never studied it before for words are going to have to start jumping off the pages uh Revelation is going to start have to come into our minds but that all takes place when the Holy Ghost anointing when it's activated within us oh God help us Lord God bruised beat broken crushed maybe even discarded Olive but oh God what comes out of it is a beautiful anointing uh it's something that's costly it's oh it's something that's going to help us in the new New Year it might be inconvenient oh it might be inconvenient but let me tell you something nothing is going to change us like fresh anointing nothing is going to change us like fresh anointing I'm hurrying I'm hurrying but I want to I want to preach to my generation for just a moment we got to be careful about this microwave Church uh oh that the denominal world's trying to push their agenda I don't want a microwave Church uh I don't want to get in get out in an hour I don't want a Seeker Friendly Church uh I want a church that comes to church and worships God because that's what the church is about uh the church is about coming together as a body and worshiping Our God it's not about Comfort it's not about singing the right genre it's not about the right lyrics being on the screen it's not about praise versus worship it's not about praise and worship teams versus choirs it's about worshiping God I refuse to have a microwave church I refuse to have a microwave anointing W cuz a little prayer means we're going to have a little anointing little fasting means we have a little anointing a little bit of church means we just have a little bit of anointing oh we can't think we're going to have great anointing without great sacrifice oh my God come on somebody in this place tonight uh I believe I believe the word starting to go out uh I feel response beginning to take place in the church family come on somebody we're going to have to be inconvenienced uh we can't just think that we're going to be entertained by 150 Voice Choir we can't think we're going to come and have our ears tickled by the greatest sound and the greatest lights and the greatest projection screens but oh God that's not why we're here we're here oh God because we love you uh because you've been so good to us uh because we cannot survive and we cannot be saved without your word being preached into our life come on just let this let this praise go right here come on let there be a praise erupt right here come on somebody needs to step into their their level to anointing and just allow praise and worship to erupt from them fill me to overflowing oh God Crea in me me oh godo I want to want to I want to desire Lord God to be more anointed than I've ever been before uh every time I pick up a microphone uh every time I witness every time I teach a Bible study every time oh God let there be fresh anointing in my life can we just praise him for a moment come on can the Holy Ghost just move in this place just for a moment oh oh I'm almost finished but I feel the Holy Ghost just wants to move just for a moment pour it out oh God pour out your anointing upon us oh God get our hearts and Minds prepared for 2024 oh God uh help us oh God there's promises oh God we have not even claimed yet uh there's promises oh God in your word we have not even claimed yet I believe it's going to be poured out in this place fresh anointing come on come on pray that prayer will be fresh anointing musicians come fresh anointed but ye are not in the flesh Romans 88:9 says but in the spirit if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you now if any man have not the spirit of Christ uh he is a none of his and if Christ be in you the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is life because of righteousness uh verse 14 says for as many as are led by the spirit of God they are the sons of God let me tell you what that sons of God means that means you've got the authority woo you've got the authority the holy ghost power that's within you gives you the authority to be led by the spirit of God you are sons of God if you're not already standing stand with me come on our prayer tonight be led oh God to be led by your spirit give me fresh fresh a new anointing what would H I just want to know something what would happen in this building if every person saw their need for fresh anointing uh what would our church services look like uh if every person said I got to get to the next level of anointing if every person in this room said I'm not content I'm not satisfied God you've done so much for me but I know there's so much more that you can do what if every person in this room revived in 2024 and woke up spiritually in 2024 I believe we would have Revival like we've never seen I believe we would have growth like we've never seen I believe there will be healing signs and wonders like we've never seen before but it's going to take a people with a hunger a people that say receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is not enough I've got to activate it in my life come on somebody you got to make up in your mind right here right now I've got to activate the Holy Ghost inside of me the Bible clearly says it's signs and wonder will follow will follow the believer but the believer's got to activate something inside of him oh come on I already said it receiving the holy ghost that was not your graduation that was just a birth certificate it was just the beginning it was just your first stage your first anointing was when you received the Holy Ghost and God put into your heart I've got something for you to do you say I I don't know exactly what it is listen you got to just keep on pressing toward that next anointing brother Eric said I don't know what my calling is I I've got the Holy Ghost but I just I don't know what what's the next step what's the next plan where where am I going from here you got to go and say God I need a fresh anointing God you got to place in my heart in my mind exactly what you expect from me uh I will be what you call me to be uh I'll say yes I'll say Lord I'll agree my desire passionately is to be what you've called me to be fresh anointing hey come on close your eyes real tight we're going to have a prayer line in just a moment but close your eyes real tight I I feel the Holy Ghost in this room I feel there's somebody here that in 2024 I'm not looking for a New Year's resolution because the New Year's resolutions Fall Away about the middle of January I'm looking for a change heart God is looking for a heart that says I don't want to be what I used to be I want to be greater than I've ever been Lord I want you to work through me Lord I want you to speak through me Lord God I want to be empowered by your spirit oh let it be active in my life oh God I'm desperate to be led by your spirit I'm desperate to be led by your spirit I'm desperate I'm desperate come on there has to be a spirit of desperation in this house tonight come on this is the last day of the year uh this is our last chance to say next year I'm doing something different uh you can walk into 2024 in just a few hours and you can say I will never be who I used to be I'll never be that man I'll Never Be That Woman again I'm going to change everything uh I'm giving my life to God and I'm going to allow him to do in me what he wants to do in me
