stand to your feet if you're not already standing and it's hard not to stand amen with that kind of of just Apostolic Pentecost Cal music don't we love our Trend Setters around here amen we are we are blessed with the very best and they're given this name Trends Setter uh for a uh specific purpose and that is because we are my generation the generations following me we're looking to them to set trends of how to live for God throughout all our life amen you know with people that fall away it's sad to say that people do fall away but it's so beautiful when you see somebody like like brother Bryant celebrating his life on on Friday night and and looking at a man who lived his whole life for the kingdom of God who gave everything he had rais his family in the church Godly marriage amen just a Godly life and that gives that gives us hope our Trends Setters give us hope amen that there there's a brilliant beautiful future ahead of us amen clap your hands one more time for our Trend Setters and turn the Bible with me a very familiar passage Hebrews chap 11 and verse 30 I want to read one scripture in Hebrews and then I'm going to go to First John chapter 5 but let's start off in Hebrews chapter 11 give honor uh to senior pastor and first lady uh Miss Pastor Carpenter tonight and know that he is he is raising a great missions offering tonight and we're thankful for that and you know that's that is just what his legacy is and will always be is that he is uh he's so missions minded and uh he has such a great testimony in in what God has done through World missions for himself and for this local church uh that it just makes sense uh that any any Pastor having a missions conference is just going to say we got to get uh p Pastor Kenneth Carpenter to this conference and so we don't mind sharing if we know the offerings are being raised for World missions amen we love that amen give Pastor Hammond and Pastor Nolan Carpenter honor tonight so excited about uh what God is doing uh man Pastor so excited what we're doing in Spanish church and God is doing great and mighty things looking forward uh to hearing the good reports from today and I appreciate I get a report every service I get not only attendance report I get man we had two or three filled with the Holy Ghost and he tells me what he preached on and I love that I love that because our Spanish-speaking people of our community are being fed the word of God and uh I give just all the ministry staff uh honor tonight Hebrews chap 11:30 this is this is The Heroes of Faith chapter one of my favorite chapters in The Bible but this is one one the topic I'm going to preach on tonight by faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were compassion about seven seven days and then 1 John 5:4 says for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith by faith the walls of Jericho fell I believe I've got a word I've got a word for someone that God wants you to know you are going to make make it everything is going to be all right I I don't know who exactly it is that I've come to preach to but God has God has laid this I was I was studying on Friday I began to study and asking God God what is it that you want me to preach to your people how do you want your people fed on Sunday night and God just started telling me he said just let them know everything's going to be okay let them know it's going to be all right you're going to make it God is going to come through on time because God is never missed woo God has never missed an opportunity to bless God has never missed an opportunity to provide God has never missed an opportunity for his children I just believe today if we'll receive his word if we'll come into this house uh I believe before we leave this place we can say the Mountain's high but it's not too steep the battle is rough woo but I'm not too weak the road is hot but it's not too long and the enemy is near but it's not too strong I don't care what the devil's been whispering in our ear tonight I've come to tell you you're going to make it is it all right if I just preach hope tonight you're going to make it it's going to be okay you're going to I know oh tonight we're facing all kinds of things in our world in our society and in our culture but just keep on holding on W you're going to make it g to be victorious my title my subject tonight is simply this everyone has a Jericho everyone has a Jericho put your Bibles down come on let's pray together father we love you and we're so thankful what's happening all across East Tennessee and the campuses the Lord God north and south east and west right here in marille God the Holy Ghost is being poured out people are being born of the water in the spirit and because of that oh God we give you praise and glory and honor and I just wish you would fill someone with the Holy Ghost tonight right here in this house oh God in this altar tonight let somebody receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost by the infilling of tongues oh God I I pray somebody make a decision Lord God to go down in the water in Jesus name for the remission of their sins tonight in Jesus name in this house we pray this and can somebody shout amen I want you to step out into the aisle and Shake somebody's hand I don't want to start a fellowship rally but come on on Sunday nights a lot of times we don't get to get out in the aisle much come on tell somebody you're glad to see them we're going to find out what our Jericho is tonight we're going to name it we're going to identify it and in Jesus name the walls are going to come tumbling down once you greeted two or three you may be seated in the house on the day before President Ronald Reagan in 1987 before he visited the Berlin Wall there were some 50,000 people demonstrating against the presence of the American president in West Berlin the city saw the largest police deployment in its history since World War II and and during the visit itself there was wide swaps of Berlin closed off to prevent further anti- rean protests and in his famous speech you're going to recognize the speech at the Brendan Berg gate President Reagan said this and I quote we welcome change and openness for we believe that freedom and security go together that the advance of human Liberty can only strengthen the cause of World Peace he said there is one sign the Soviets can make that would be un mistakable that would Advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace he's a general secretary gorbachov if you seek peace if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union in Eastern Europe if you seek liberalization he said come here to this gate Mr gorbachov opened this gate and people began to cheer in and then he said Mr garbacho tear down this wall Mr garbacho tear down this wall but the story is interesting because the majority of the president's cabinet had already read the speech before he gave it and brother Donnie they had asked them they said please Mr President don't speak this last line in your speech he said it's going to cause division between us and the Soviet Union 50,000 people were against were against what President Reagan was coming to speak about demonstrating riding in the streets his own cabinet again advised him against it he said what they said whatever you do don't call for the wall to come down but on November the 9th 19 18 889 the wall finally came down and east and west berliners came together and celebrated Freedom together it took over two years for the wall to come down but someone listen to me tonight someone had to stand up even amongst the in the midst of their haters and they had to say what everybody needed to say and that was simply tear down on this wall and with that thought in mind I want to preach because Hebrews chap 11 we read it in our text by faith the walls of Jericho fell down but I like this right here because it says after everyone say after after they were compassed about seven days you see obviously there has to be Faith involved and I'm thankful pastor preached about faith and promise this morning and there's got to be Faith involved in Victory and uh there has to be believing because we understand if there if you're not presently seen oh you got to see things even before they come to pass that's what true belief and Faith really is Right Hebrews chapter 1 and one or Hebrews chapter 11:1 tells us what faith really is and I'm thankful that we can see it without even physically seeing I I'm thankful for Spiritual evidence but Victory requires more than just Faith and Hope and spirit spiritual vision alone there has to be some conditions or requirements prior to Victory there's always got to be a process when it comes to Victory and the process is always the hardest thing because process takes work and process takes time and people don't enjoy process but if you're going to get nothing else out of this message I I pray that you can at least understand this there has to be an appreciation for the process and so let me go slow on this point just for a few minutes because some people feel they're entitled to victory yeah some people feel that Victory ought to be theirs and ah they've heard the promise that there's a land flowing with milk and honey they've heard a promise that God is providing you uh cities to live in where you don't have to build walls and there's going to be Vineyards that you don't have to plant you're going to live in houses that you don't even have to build and I'm thankful for the promises but don't you know that God took his people through a process before they ever got to the promise H the Wilderness was nothing more than a 40 over a 40y year long process of getting them prepared for the promised land now I grew up hearing I grew up hearing the story of Joshua in the Battle of Jericho um I grew up uh in Sunday school and how many remember the The Illustrated books of of Joshua and the walls of Jericho come tumbling down you you remember those books and and the children's story the problem with children's stories is children's stories tend to leave out some really important facts somebody said amen uh I've said this before but it always humors me to to walk into Sunday School departments of churches and and see really cool murals of of Noah's Ark and the animals getting on the ark and and and just oh look at them cute animals coming up two by two and we forget that there's a process that took place where every living thing had to die that wasn't on the Ark in the children's story brother Namy the children's story leaves out that part all they see is the is the is the two kangaroos on top of the Ark and the and the necks of the dffs looking out the window right and even even children's songs and listen I'm all about children's songs because children's songs tend to tend to teach Doctrine and teach truth and make it easy for them to remember right that's why we teach children songs we teach the the ABC song to children to teach them their ABCs now [name redacted] singing the ABC song the other day and he had some numbers in there too it was awesome I think he had the number two for the letter T I mean it was awesome but he but he sang it perfectly had some Wrong lyrics in there but he sang it perfectly but that's how we give him another month or so and he's going to have those numbers switched out with some letters but but let's sing let's just sing a little song together right let's sing the song we all know Joshua Fought the Battle of Jero Jero uhhuh Jer s your fingers Joshua Fought the Battle of Jero and the tumbling and if you're Elvis Josh fight the Battle of Jero he sings fit Jero Jero Joshua fit the botle of Jero and the wall ging some of you translaters you know I'm talking about he didn't sing fought was that pretty good wasn't it y'all clapping thank you he sang fit I don't even is that the past tense of fought which is the past tense of fight fight fought fit I don't know but but I got to thinking about that song and I thought we could not teach our kids the more incorrect Bible story than singing that song Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho and the walls came tumbling down let's see that puts Joshua as the main character and he fought the Battle and then the walls came tumbling down I feel like that's I feel like there's a little bit misleading to that story and and so I got to read I thought well let's see if Joshua was the main character of The Story So look with me turn in your Bibles to Joshua 5:1 because this is really where the story Starts Now now in your in your in your children's Bible Bible books and in The Illustrated Bible you're not going to see this in the story but in Joshua chapter 5 and one it says and it came to pass when all the kings of the amorites which were on the side of Jordan Westward and all the kings of the Canaanites which were by the Sea heard that the Lord had dried up the Waters of the Jord from be before the children of Israel unto we were passed over that their heart melted neither was their spirit in them anymore because of the children of Israel now now nowhere does it say that the kings of the amorites and the kings of the Canaanites fear the army of the Israelites because I got news for you there was no Army of the Israelites Jericho was the very first city they came to when they Cross Jordan you're talking about uh slaves who had escaped Egypt and had roamed and wandered around and lived in tents for over 40 years they they they did not have factories where where they were building weapons they they they weren't even Hunters their food fell from heaven they had door Dash I mean we're talking about people that didn't even they weren't scavengers they they they weren't h they weren't going off looking if they ate meat Quail blew in and fell to the ground come on I want you to visualize with me because sometimes we get it in our minds that we have to be some great thing to face the enemy and sometimes we get it in our minds kind of like this CH this children's song that they were the main character in the story and we are not the main character in the story we are just the people people that get to walk across Jordan on dry ground we're we're just the people oh my God we're just the people that allow God to work through us because the Bible says greater is he that is within us it it doesn't say anything about us it just says greater is he that is within us than he that is in the world the devil does not fear you the devil does not fear me the devil fears what is inside of Uso the devil fears oh I'm so thankful for the power that's inside of me the holy ghost power the anointing power something that fills my body the very presence of a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that's talking about fighting that's not just healing that's something where the enemy comes in like a flood and there's a power that's inside of us that whs up and fights against him it's not by might nor by power but by my spirit sayith the Lord of hosts I I think about our new converts sometimes that they come into the church and I don't don't feel intimidated if you just started Living for the Lord if you've just received the gift of the Holy Ghost I thank God that we have people I baptized a man just a few days ago during the week uh a man called and said I I see my need to be baptized in Jesus name a backslider a former member of the church who no longer comes to church have been WI witnessing to him on the job and said I he said listen now it's been a while since I've come to church he said but but I I I still know truth and I still know you got to be baptized in Jesus name and so my coworker I told him you ought to be baptized in Jesus name and I know a place I can take you and I brought brother Paul and we brought him in the water we put him down in Jesus name oh Paul text me I believe it was yesterday before he said Hey Hey listen he said my niece she's a about to go down in Jesus name too because I've been telling her about what you did from me I corrected him I said I didn't do anything for you all I did was reveal to you I showed you in the word of God what the Bible says you ought to do and how the Bible says you ought to go down in the water I'm thankful if you're a new convert around here and you're just getting into the church listen you don't have to be intimidated because we are not the Fear Factor it's not about us it's not about our might let me tell you something it's about The God Who dried up the Jordan River it's about The God Who split the Red Sea it's about The God Who flowed water out of a rock he dropped Mana from Heaven oh it's about that God he's the one wo it's a God that delivered you from drugs it's a God that delivered you from alcohol from pornography and lust and debauchery it's that guy that put your marriage back back together he's the Gody let me tell you something I've heard people tell a testimony that says I went to a marriage counselor and the marriage counselor said there was no hope for my marriage but then I stepped into an Apostolic Altar and we began to pray together and we began to menend things uh and restoration took place uh and Reconciliation took place uh and the next thing you know you got something inside of you that's greater than what the counselor said you didn't have enough of oh we're Overcomers Revelations chap 12 talks about Overcomers uh we overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of Our Testimony does anybody have a testimony in the house tonight that you just want to lift up your hands and say God I'm thankful for what you brought me out of I'm thankful for the power that you put inside of me I'm thankful that I'm not who I used to be I don't do the things I used to do I don't go the places I used to go I'm a new creature in Christ Christ Jesus somebody ought to just give him vocal worship tonight give him vocal praise tonight oh we thank you oh God you brought us out of a Mary clay you set our foot upon a rock to stay he's a famous God he's a great God and everybody let me tell you something in the Old Testament it wasn't the children of Israel it was the god of the children of is Israel Joshua 5:13 I like this it says and it came to pass when Joshua was by Jericho then he lifted up his eyes and looked and behold there stood a man over against him with a sword drawn in his hand I want you to see this right here just leave that leave the that that ending of the verse up right there because right here God I believe God on purpose God on purpose distracted Joshua from seeing Jericho he put a he put a a a a an angel with a sword in his Pathway to show him to said I am for you and if I'm for you who can be against you I know that there's wall cities behind me you've never seen walled cities before come on think about this Joshua the children of Israel had never seen walled cities there wasn't walled cities in Egypt the countries that surrounded Egypt they didn't have walled City go through in in the wilderness look through the Wilderness there wasn't walled cities the walled cities were across the Jordan in the promised land and so here we have we have an angel who's standing in the way of Joshua to where he can't even see the walls of Jericho and he lifts up his eyes Joshua does and behold stood there a man against him with a sword drawn in his hand and Joshua went unto him and said art thou Forest us or for our adversaries and let me just tell you simply what he said he said listen I'm not for you I'm not against you this is what I've come to do I'm not come to take sides I've come to take over I've come to show you that the power that you have inside of you and upon you is greater than this walled City so look at with me in Joshua 6 and one look at look at verse one it says now Jericho was straightly shut up because of the children of Israel none went out and none came in and the Lord said unto Joshua see I I've given into thine hand Jericho and the King thereof and the Mighty Men of Valor and ye should Compass the city all ye men ofor and go round about the city once thus you shall do for six days and the seventh and seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of of rams horns and the seventh day ye shall Compass the city seven times and the priest shall blow with the trumpets and it shall come to pass and when they make a long blast with the Ram's Horn and when you hear the sound of the trumpet all the people shall Shout with a great shout and the wall of the city shall fall down flat and the people shall Ascend up every man straight before him so why did there have to be a pro Pro or a a process before the promise why didn't God just knock the walls down and Grant the children of Israel Victory well I believe Isaiah 55 and8 comes in here for it says my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways sayeth the Lord I believe there was a purpose why there had to be seven days now I don't know maybe there needed to be seven days of starvation upon the enemy before the walls came down because you do understand the walls falling down was not the victory for the battle the walls falling down were just to allow Joshua and all the Israelites to get in and come after those in Jericho maybe the confusion within the walls of what was happening outside the walls assisted in the victory I'll be honest with you I I don't really understand it but one thing I do not believe is I don't believe the commentary that I read that the people of Jericho were mocking those that were marching around the walls I don't believe for a second now I've heard it preach and it preaches well Pastor talked about today it preaches well to have all those in Jericho looking out over the walls and mocking the people of Israel it preaches well to have them mocking and making fun and causing slander to the children of God but I don't believe that was what was happening I believe there was fear in the hearts of all the people of Jericho because they did not know what was taking place all they knew is what what they had heard and what they had heard was that the god of the Israelites was a mighty God the Lord he said look the victory is already yours the Kings they they are yours the Mighty Men of Val they are yours the very same enemies that the other 10 spies feared oh God told Joshua since you had Faith since you and Caleb had Faith uh I've got them all trapped inside of their own walls I want you to listen to this because the the the the city of Jericho the walls of Jericho uh the the the the technology and what they had what they had built even in that time was so great I read that the mound or the tail of Jericho was surrounded by a great earn embankment with stone retaining wall at its base you got you got to kind of see this it was it was high elevation in a around the earth embankment there was a stone retaining wall that went around this this what is called the TA and the retaining wall was some 12 to to 15 feet high and on top of that was a mud brick wall 6 feet thick and about 20 to 26 feet high at the crest of the embankment was a similar mud brick wall whose base was roughly 46 feet above the ground level outside the retaining wall most historians they also believe there was a moat of water that surrounded the walls this was an insurmountable wall you were not going to be get able to get into the city the Israelites would never have gotten into the walls of this city think about this right here if they would have looked at the walls and gotten their focus off their God they would have given up and they probably would have tried to Cross Jordan back into into Into the Wilderness but oh I'm so thankful that Joshua had enough faith not in himself but in his God that he was able to realize that the very same walls that Jericho thought were protection God was using for a prison the very same walls and if we had time to read the whole story you would realize that the very same walls were what God used to create a furnace that the whole city would burn inside of now now I grew up I grew up listen I know a little bit about walls I I grew up in Upstate New York in a city called Auburn New York and if you look up the city of Auburn I'll tell you the only thing that Auburn is is famous for is we had the very first electric chair downtown listen not not in the outskirts not not somewhere far out in the countryside downtown Auburn in the center of town was a correctional facility we back then we called it a prison and the Auburn prison had the tallest walls you've ever seen those walls surrounded those walls it would take you probably about 15 minutes to drive around the walls now now I don't know why it doesn't make any sense to me but they built the town around the prison but apparently huh apparently they thought they felt protected enough that the walls would keep inside those that we didn't want on the outside but I see this as God turning turn the tail just a little bit and I see God as the people of Jericho thinking to themselves well we've got protection because we've got walls and God looked at and says I'll tell you what I'm going to do I'm going to create a Penitentiary if you will with high High walls that you're not going to get out of high walls that for one solid week you're not going to be able to get out of and you're not going to be able to come to your farmland or get water out of your Rivers outside of the walls but we're going to trap you in the same walls that you built for protection and I just think to myself sometimes what the devil meant for evil God turns it out to be good and God turns it around and God says you know what oh some of you that were addicted to some heavy stuff you were addicted to Lifestyles that should have took your life but now you're in free class and you're giving your testimony on how God brought you out of the things that have other people bound brother Kenny I think about people like you who walked into this church and you were Bound in a prison of sin you were all caught up in a prison of addiction you had things wrong with you and things wrong with your mind and your body that you had put upon yourself through addictions but God set you free the very thing the devil he tried to keep you captive with God said he's free and free indeed I'll change I'll turn it around what the devil meant for evil that same Kenny is going to go into a free class where there's 20 or 25 men and he's going to be able to testify and say I know the devil thought he had me but Jesus came and grabbed me Jesus reached down into a Mary clay it pulled me out out I wish you would just praise him just for a moment I feel the Holy Ghost if we will allow a testimony to well up inside of us oh devil you thought you had me you thought you thought you were going to steal my family away uh you thought my children were going to be addicted to the same things I was addicted to but I broke the curse I came into a house of the Lord and the Holy Ghost broke the curse free fre free I'm free last thank God Almighty you may be think you may be see it the devil thought he was going to ruin your self-esteem and destroy your body oh but my God now that same wall that once was a prison now you can look at it and say that wall must come down because now I've got something inside of me that I can share with the world my addiction has become my testimony the very walls designed to protect the people of Jericho ENT trap them and the Lord said I have given them into your hand I've already given you Victory but hold on there had to be a process there had to be marching around walls for six days they marched one time around the wall and if you remember the story I don't have time to read it but if you remember the story Joshua told the people don't even talk I don't even want want to hear you Whispering I just want to see you marching I want you to keep your mind focused on what God is going to do I'm thankful for it he said I need seven priests seven that's God's number I need seven priests H with seven trumpets leading the Ark of God the very thing that led them across the Jordan oh it was that Ark of God those same priests we're going to take the same thing that got us Victory yesterday and I believe that same thing is going to get us Victory today if God can do it yesterday God can do it today 7 day they marched seven times around and they began to blow the trumpets those Rams horns they began to blow and the people shouted and the walls there here now here we go and the walls then came tumbling down and the Bible said that God instructed Joshua you tell the people to go straight in I'm talking about a process for victory a process for victory now they went in and they killed everything that was alive every everything from the animals everything that breathed had to die and verse 24 says and they burned the city with fire and all that was therein only the silver and the gold and the vessels of brass and of iron they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord let me tell you something you burn stuff that you don't plan to go back after God said I don't want anybody occupying this city ever again and but and it was occupied again and there was there was great punishment from God look it up in your Bible it's an interesting story but he said I want you to burn everything I don't want you coming back I'm going to give you world cities but this is not one of them Jericho is not a place I because I don't want you just to think that you're going to hold up inside of this city and you're just going to you're just going to think that you're strong it would have been like a Tower of Babel for them right it would have been a place where they would think that the stronghold was so great that they could protect themselves but God said I want to be your protector I want to be your provider I want to be your savior I want to be your friend and so he said burn it all he wasn't about to give his people victory until they followed through with the process verse 27 of chapter 6 it chapter 6 it says so the Lord was with Joshua and his Fame was noised throughout all the country and that's not how the story ends and I probably won't have time to come back to it but read that story because I want to start talking about what is your Jericho we got to be able to pronounce and Define what our Victory truly is Jericho can be pronounced many ways if you're here tonight and you've never been born again you're Jer Jericho is pronounced salvation now I know some people listen some people man they they I know it's not fair but some people can just walk in the first service they come to God fills them with the Holy Ghost and I'm thankful for that taking place but there's some people in this place you've been seeking for years I'm not even months you've been seeking for the Holy Ghost for years let me tell you something tonight is going to be your night I believe your Jericho is pronounced salvation but there's going to be a process that you have to go through there's going to be steps that you're going to have to obey it was Nicodemus it was Nicodemus in John chapter 3 oh Jesus himself he said if you want to be born again you got to be born of the water and of the spirit if you're going to enter the kingdom of God you got to be born again of the water and the spirit it takes water baptism and it takes spiritual regeneration in order to enter the kingdom of God listen I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal preacher I can put the Plan of Salvation in any message right here it fits well acts chap 2:37 Peter Peter he takes what Jesus taught him as a disciple and Peter says or the Bible says I'll set it up it says when they heard this they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter to the rest of the Apostles men and Brethren what shall we do then Peter said unto them verse 38 he said repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost but he didn't stop there he said for the promise this must be the promise right here for the promise is unto you it's unto your children all that are far off even as men many as the Lord Our God shall call in the water that's where we get our new body when you go down in the name of Jesus that's where you get your new vessel your new body the Bible refers to it as a new creature or a new creation anybody thankful they've got a new body anybody thankful they've been they they got you've been covered by the blood of Jesus you went down in the name of the one that died for you and shed his blood for you but then when you receive the Holy Ghost when the Holy Ghost is poured out and fills that body now are we the sons of God when you're baptized in Jesus name the authority listen closely here the authority is given to you it's through the name of Jesus Christ being applied to your life at baptism that gives us authority to perform Miracles and signs and wonders it gives us Authority in the the city over demons and damic activity it's the infilling of the spirit of God it's the holy ghost in your body that gives you power it's the power and the authority there's a difference there's a difference between power and authority power is strength but Authority gives you the right uh Authority oh I I've told you this story before but but the story 10 years ago my first time to the Philippines in Manila Philippines I remember I was I was going from the from the International Airport to the domestic airport in Manila and you have to take a bus and and and then the bus Rod is the scariest thing you let me tell you something man it's it's scarier than your wife driving you I'm on the front I'm just kidding my wife's a great driver repent I'm on the I'm the last one on the bus which means I'm I'm standing in front of the line that you're not supposed to stand in front of and they don't care and I'm I got two carry-on bags and I'm holding on to that pole for dear life and as we're going through Manila we go through an area that just has has no stop lights it has no stop signs it's just it's it's just traffic circle after traffic circle and the only way to get into a traffic C circle is you got to cut a lot of people off and you know you got these jeepneys and the jeepy are I believe they're from World War II if I'm not mistaken they're they're from one of the world wars and and they just keep on rebuilding the engines they still have these Jeep knes and and there's a single wheel in the front and there's a couple wheels in the back and they're supposed to seat I don't know about eight or nine people in the back but usually they have about 42 and people are hanging all over them people falling out of them and they're just hanging off for dear life and and you're F these you're F these Jeep knes and the bus is cutting people off and and the buses I mean I'm talking the buses the the shuttles when they came to a stop I mean literally they they had flat fronts and noses and and when you come to a stop you were you were like inches from the bus in front of you I mean I'm in the front holding on that pole and we're getting closer and closer and closer I'm like oh no and somehow brother Nami I didn't see one accident I don't understand it we get an accidents out here in in the country there's millions and millions of people on bicycles and Jeep knes and buses and taxi cabs and I didn't see one accident but what I did notice was there was one little tiny now now listen most Filipino are are are not large people but this was a tiny Filipino woman but she was wearing a vest and a bag badge and a police officer's hat and she had these white these tiny little white gloves on and it didn't matter how many tons those buses were when she would put up that hand that bus would come to a stop and when she would wave the traffic circle from this side the traffic would pick up speed and when she would stop with their little white glove the traffic would stop and she was in the middle of the road and I thought this this poor poor woman is about to get ran over there's no hope for this poor woman but there she was and the thing was she understood that she had the authority of the government in Manila and she had enough Authority that if anyone challenged her directions she could take them to court and she would win because she had Authority she did not have power no but she had Authority and when you are baptized in the name of Jesus you are given Authority that's the difference between us and the church down the road that speaks in tongues oh the Holy Ghost is being poured out everywhere but there's a difference like I said those people might have power but they don't have the authority that we do because we're baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of our sins because we are sons of God through baptism and maybe your Jericho maybe your Jericho is simply this that you've tried and tried but you can't seem to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost maybe you haven't made a decision to be baptized in Jesus name yet I want you to know Salvation is for you it's a promise for you for your children for all them that are far off even as many as the Lord our God is calling and I believe he's still calling you today salvation maybe your marriage maybe it's somebody here today that your marriage is falling apart your Jericho might be pronounced reconciliation there's a wall called faithfulness there's a process called faithfulness that you're going to have to Circle a bunch of times oh yes you are if you're in financial trouble today your Jericho might be pronounced provision but once again promise that God had promised in the wilderness they were given the promises but there's always going to be a process in order to receive the promise I just want to know church tonight are you willing to fulfill the process that's really the question once you identify your Jericho oh is the victory worth the process come on that's what you got to ask yourself is it really worth it to me because sometimes it's a whole lot easier just to go through the motions and God I know there's sickness in my body but God it's going to take too much work uh to have enough Faith uh Lord God to have enough
