Increase Your Chances for a Miracle | Associate Pastor Chad Erickson

Mark chapter 6 and verse 47 amen as you're turning there I too I want to agree with our senior pastor that all the guests are in the house we are so glad that you're here and what an honor and honored is to have you my name is is Chad Erickson I'm the associate pastor here and I just feel like I'm a part of the best Church in the world and I hope that you want to be a part of this church too I hope that if you're here visiting from the community I hope that you make this your your home church and that would just be the greatest compliment to us amen Mark chapter 6 verse 47 says and when evening was come you're going to recognize this story right away the ship was in the midst of the sea and he speaking of Jesus alone on the land and Jesus saw them toiling in rowing I want you to see right there right there Jesus he saw them toiling and roaming for the wind was contraria to them and about the Fourth Watch of the night he cometh unto them walking upon the sea and would have passed by them so I'm gonna stop right there because here's my topic right here it's it's an elementary topic but isn't it interesting how church you hear this a lot of the same things over and over again and then and then it's it's needful to hear them over and over again because even things that are sometimes what we think obvious or we think would be common sense how many know that common sense is not always common I just believe that God wants to do something in this place here's my title see this is kind of like a how-to this is this is an instructional message and this is my title how to increase your chances for a miracle it's going to be Elementary but I believe it's going to preach tonight because I already feel the Holy Ghost in This Place Pastor I give you honor what a message do we not hear a message this morning I believe this is going to tie into pastor's message this morning give you honor give our student Pastor our kids quest Pastor all the ministry of this church we have the greatest Ministry in all the world I believe that but I believe this is going to tie the last few messages I've heard over this pulp it's going to tie in with them so well simply we've got to understand there's a miracle in the house and I want to be the one that receives it tonight anybody want to be the one that receives it tonight listen I'm all about my brother and my sister but it's me oh Lord standing in need oh come on let's just throw our hands up in here let's pray I feel the Holy Ghost in This Place father we need your power we need your spirit Lord Rest In This Place fire and wind oh settle in this house tonight let there be clothe in tongues like as a fire let there be a wind that blows through this room let miracles signs and wonders take place in this house tonight let a miracle Lord God oh God just step into some of his life do something Lord God that nobody has seen before Lord that nobody has felt before that nobody has experienced before do it for them tonight let a miracle take place in Jesus name come on if you'll agree with me put your hands together and just love the Lord if you'll agree with me Hallelujah come on now lift up your voices in this place Hallelujah come on Hallelujah set upon us tonight in Jesus name you may be seated in the house ah look at your neighbor and say it feels good in the house look at your other neighbor say it feels good in the house so I I Googled brother Steph I hear you I Googled the phrase how to increase your chances and just just to see what Google would pull up you know and it gave me it gave me six immediate suggestions you can mute that organ if you will brother the first one was this it was how to increase your chances to get pregnant and I I did not click on that one the next one said how to increase your chances to have twins again I did not click on that one the third one said how to increase your chances of winning the lottery the next one said the next one said how to increase your chances of getting a job if you like that one you're gonna like this one the next one said how to increase your chances of winning the Powerball y'all don't know what that is I don't either just just we're gonna move on and this next one is kind of obvious the next one was how to increase your chances of winning Mega Millions but I I didn't click on any of those I just kind of wanted to see what would pull up because I figure that my topic wouldn't pull up in the top 10 the top 20 the top 25 because you know what people are not searching for my topic because they're looking how to get rich quick show me tell me tell me how how I can do nothing and get something now I don't throw off on people looking to have children I totally get that click on that link if you want more kids I've got three I've got enough if you want to have a litter of kids you can click on the next link and you can find out how to have multiple kids and I love twins but again I can't afford to feed any more miles than what I've already got but I thought to myself there's not too many people looking for a miracle there's not too many people searching Google finding out what exactly do I need to do to increase my chances for a miracle and so I I began to study miracles signs and wonders because I just believe in order to be an Apostolic Church not only do we have to be Apostolic in Doctrine not only do we have to be Apostolic in our Holiness lifestyle and in a separation from the world and the way we believe and we understand what the Bible says about salvation but also if we are going to claim to be an Apostolic church if we're going to have the words First Apostolic Church on our side out front of this church sister Jones we got to believe in miracles signs and wonders there's got to be something that takes place for us that doesn't take place for everybody else Pastor talked about it we there's a certain way that God wants to be worshiped and you just can't worship him any way that you want to worship him there's a there's there's someone that he's seeking he's looking he's searching for people they're going to worship him in oh you are listening this morning you're listening so I began to study the supernatural I I began to study what what does it really mean she'll really mean and before I really define this word Supernatural let me first Define what natural means because God has a natural laws that govern this Earth somebody said amen the whole universe runs on these natural predictable laws we we call science we believe in science we have science class around here you can go upstairs into the academy they have lab tables they've got beakers and I don't know microscopes they're studying earth science and biology and chemistry and Physiology and psychology no that's not a well that is a science but not the science they're studying but all these things have laws laws of gravity laws of thermodynamics planetary motion buoyancy all of these things are included in these natural law at creation God said every single one of these laws into motion and nothing we do is going to change these natural laws ladies I don't care how much aerosol hairspray you use in your hair there's not going to be a hole in the ozone layer large enough to change any laws that God has set into motion at creation do you follow me there are certain things that are just natural however the Supernatural is when God overrules himself and breaks the natural laws or the laws of nature and he sets something new into motion with our bodies death it's natural sickness and pain is natural disease natural even in nature itself sowing and reaping seed time and harvest all these things are natural the thunderstorms the Hurricanes that come through those are all natural things they're going to keep on going and nothing is going to stop those things but before I get too deep into my message please please if you remember nothing else until I get to my conclusion remember that natural is normal laws of nature in Supernatural is when God breaks those laws himself and he said something new into motion so we have what a miracle we call Miracles we sing about miracles there's a miracle in the house and with Jesus anything is possible we sing I love that choir song we talk about when we sing about miracles and a miracle takes place when God performs the supernatural I told you this was elementary I you're going back to school just for a few minutes but but for three and a half years I want to start talking about some of these Miracles that Jesus performed because Jesus performed four types of Miracles miracles of creation and provision Miracles that displayed his power over nature miracles of healing physical healing spiritual and then also miracles of life and of course the resurrection of life and so I began to look throughout the New Testament I began to do some research and and I wanted to see where Jesus overruled the natural and where the supernatural occurred and so I I began to look through his miracles of creation provision when he turned the water his very first miracle that was recorded in the Bible when he turned water into wine he overcame those natural laws of of what makes water H2O and he changed that into whatever makes up wine change the laws when he calls Peter James and John to catch that multitude of fish again he changed he he provided when they needed food he fed well over 5 000 people with a young boy's lunch he fed four thousand on another occasion he calls the disciples to cast their Nets onto the right side of the boat and the Bible says that he called exactly 153 fish isn't that interesting the Bible is so detailed he didn't just catch a lot of fish or a drove of fish the Bible says that they caught a hundred and fifty three feet there has to be something with that number I don't know brother John Stone maybe you can research that and find out what is 153 mean I don't know but there has to be some kind of medium be kind because I just don't believe the Bible States anything on accident but though those what welcome miraculous Supernatural acts of Miracles he Atura nature he called to the Sea where the Bible said the Bible said that he said peace be still and and the disciples looked and thought my what manner of man is this that even the wind and the waves obey him y'all remember y'all remember about 20 years ago when our choir sang stranger for competition I'm lucky I see Brittany I see a lot of there's a stranger in town is given sight to the blind he is the great emancipator he turns a water sorry got a little carried away but there's a part in there there's a verse in there when they said what manner of man is this whose voice controls something about that we got that part of that song it would just thought to myself that's my Jesus I'll tell you what man or a man it is it's a man who has all Supernatural power over all Heaven over all Earth whether it's bodies whether it's the nature itself whether it's sickness whether it's death he walked on water he caused a fig tree to wither we go into the into the Miracles of healing I'm going over these Miracles because I'm going to make a point at the end you got to think about these Miracles heal the son of the royal official in John chapter 4. he he healed a man in Capernaum possessed by a demon he he healed the Mother-in-law of Simon Peter he healed a leper in Matthew chapter 8 he healed the servant of the Centurion he healed the paralyzed man in Matthew chapter nine he healed the woman with a 12-year issue of blood he healed the two Blind Men in Matthew chapter nine heal the demon possess mute man he healed a man who was disabled for 38 years in John chapter 5. sister Wilson I am so sorry she's like I'm all caught up he healed it here in the Deep fast girl do chapter 50 killed a man who was born blind he healed a demon-possessed boy he healed a man's suffering from dropsy he healed 10 lepers suffering from leprosy he healed the high priest servant's ear he healed bertime the blind man miracles of life he was born of a virgin he raised the Widow's son back to life he raised jarius's daughter he raised the Lazarus and he raised himself from the grave and the Bible says that if everything that was written that he ever did was written in one book one book couldn't even contain the Miracles that Jesus performed in three and a half years but here we go I said all that to say this there is only one common denominator with every single miracle that Jesus performed in your Bible there's only one common denominator with every Supernatural event that took place in your Bible and it was not faith I'll prove it to you it wasn't Faith because when Jesus fed five thousand when nobody believed in that nobody believed when when Jesus come to raise Lazarus from the dead even lazar's own sister said if you would have come earlier then he wouldn't have died but there was nobody there with faith to believe that Jesus could raise Lazarus from the dead so we understand it's not faith faith is not the common denominator desperation wasn't the common denominator because everybody that was healed and every Miracle took place there wasn't a desperate person petitioning Jesus for a miracle was not the common denominator do you want to know what the one common denominator was to every single miracle that I just read that Jesus performed in the Bible the common denominator was there was a problem that's it that's the only thing that you can go from one story to the next story but here's the deal Jesus Takes joy in fixing problems Jesus Takes joy in fixing messed up situations and I don't know about you but that makes me a candidate for a miracle there might be some people in here that have their life all together you got the perfect family the perfect home you got the perfect job you got the perfect everything and you just come to church just to look around and feel better about yourself but as for me and my house brother Patrick I'm a candidate for a miracle because I've got problems and situations and issues that I need a card I need a God who takes joy in fixing problems I heard it said when you're at the end of Europa then you're at the beginning of your hope it's when you're at Rock Bottom when the only only thing you can do is look up that's Sometimes the best place to be because you can't pull yourselves up by your own boots traps you have to have a god who's going to reach in and pull you up out of your crave he's got to reach in and pull you up out of your problem he's got to reach it and pull you up out of your situation we serve that kind of a God I'm a candidate because I've got issues and I've got problems faith is not required for a miracle but let me tell you something it does increase the chances of you getting a miracle I kind of talked about What miracles don't require but that doesn't mean that what I just talked about won't help you get to the front of the line when it's time for a miracle to be poured out because as we look over these stories in the Bible there were certain people with certain situations that were common to all of us they got healed possibly when other people didn't get healed or things happened in their life and they were set free of things when other people around them could have been set free but they didn't do the same things the people did they got healed so let's talk about it look with me in your Bible to Mark chapter 10 verse 45. common story says for even the son of man came not to minister unto but to minister or be ministered unto but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many that's that's our Jesus he came he came to do some things for people help people minister to people verse 46 says and they came to Jericho and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples a great number of people blind Bartimaeus the son of timius set by the highway side begging and when he had heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth he began to cry out and say Jesus thou son of David have mercy on me and many charged him that he would hold his peace said come on shut your mouth you're being too loud you're you're annoying you're you're disturbing the peace around us but he cried the more a great deal and he said thou son of David have mercy on me and Jesus Stood Still and commanded him to be called and they called the blind man saying unto him be of good Comfort rise Jesus he calleth thee and watch this I I love this right here and he casting away His Garment Rose and came to Jesus let me stop right here there was in that day who was called the beggar's garment and I believe that blind bought a mess simply said if Jesus is calling me I have no need for this garment any longer I believe right here bartiminus was already showing he was saying before my Miracle I'm gonna show some faith and say I don't need this garment we're a beggar or somebody that's a needy or somebody that's always crying by the side of the road and begging people to give him something I don't need this anymore because I'm on my way through a miracle somebody shout him in verse 51 says and Jesus answered and said unto him watch this right here he said What wilt thou that I should do unto thee and I I just believe right here because up until this point right here nowhere do we read that blind Bartimaeus ever said Jesus I need you to heal me Jesus I need you to open my blind eyes and no nowhere he was simply saying Jesus thou son of David have mercy on me and this was like this was a very common phrase and and they were used to these uh the the Blind and those that were lame would would just line up and they were always asking and begging for alms they knew exactly where to sin in order to get the religious to give to them and to help support them and they were supposed to that was that was all part of the plan but Jesus would want to know are you just looking for some money in a handout or can I do something more for you and so Jesus said hey what can I do for you I think with our prayers we got to be specific of what we ask God for sometimes we can just generalize all our prayers and sometimes God I believe goddess is looking down saying okay I hear you praying to me but what exactly do you want me to do for you because all kinds of people that are praying that God make me wealthy God help me get this God I want this car God I want this house God I want this God I want that but God is saying what exactly what kind of need do you have that you want me to perform a miracle in your life what kind of Supernatural event do you want to take place in your life you gotta speak it out and tell me what you need part of me to said unto him said that I might receive my sight in Jesus said unto him go thy way thy faith thy faith hath made thee whole and immediately he received a sight and he followed Jesus in the way again faith is not a requirement for a miracle but it does increase your chances to receive your miracle he tell you some hope is also not a requirement when it comes to a miracle however it does increase your chances of receiving a miracle I I was I began to study Faith and Hope and I may have told you it's the last time I preached but but this really stuck out to me and I feel like it was it was a revelation that God spoke to me the difference between Faith and Hope is simply faith is believing your God is able and hope is believing your God is able to do it for you because anybody can believe for somebody else brother brother if you call me this week and you tell me you got a bad report from your doctor I'll tell you brother baldry I'll believe with you brother I'm praying with you I believe you're going to be healed from whatever ailment you have in your body it's so easy to believe this somebody else can be healed but all of a sudden when you get that letter from the doctor or you get that phone call from the doctor and the doctor says are you sitting down I've got something I need to talk to you about that's where hope comes in because now it takes more than just faith in your God now you got to say God not only do I have faith but there's hope inside of me that you can heal my body of cancer sister Jeter you can heal my body of you can do something for me you can do from I read it all throughout the word of God I read about Miracle signs and wonders but hope allows me to have enough faith that you're going to do it for me then getting God's attention in your dilemma is not required for a miracle but I got good news it does increase the chances of you receiving a miracle I'm going to say it again if you can get God's attention you say how do you get God's attention well I'll tell you something easy an easy way to get his attention is to worship Him an easy way to get his attentions to show up at church when the cry begins to sing start lifting up your voice and singing with the choir and I heard that I'm telling you what I was just I was in Heaven on that front row listen not only did I hear Angelic voices coming out of the choir loft but I could hear hundreds singing the songs along with the choir that's why we come to church we're like God I'm here oh Lord I'm standing in need of prayer oh Lord I said it earlier it's me oh Lord I thank God we get to come to church at least at least three times a week some of y'all go to church five times a week we got we got students we got high school students to go to church six times a week and if there's a youth service they might go to church seven times a week they go to Sevierville for a couple service they're here for a few servers they gotta they got a chapel of service they got a Saturday night youth service we come listen there's a reason why we come to church it's not just to see each other God I want you to take notice of me it might sound selfish but I come to church I say God I'm coming first and foremost to give you praise but God I've got to get ministered to I need you to speak directly into my life God I need you to tell me what I ought to do let the preacher preach to me let the preacher step on my toes a little bit tonight that's what my prayer is when I come to church Leave Me Guide Me Mark chapter 6 our opening text pastor preached about this morning so I'm not going to take too much time on it but I I do want to read it because it's very important when the evening was come the ship was in the midst of the sea and Jesus was alone on the land verse 48 says and he saw them toiling in rowing for the wind was contrary unto them and about the Fourth Watch of the night he cometh unto them walking upon the sea and would have passed them by and I stopped and I read that again I thought wait a minute you saw them you saw them in their issue and you didn't naturally just go to the boat apparently he was looking for some kind of a response apparently he was waiting to see if they would reach toward him he wanted to be more listen he wanted to be more than just a neat supplier he wanted somebody to depend on him and he thought I've got disciples who were my followers but I don't want them just following me I don't want them just listening in my teaching I want them to depend on me and when they have a need I want them to reach for me and the Bible talks about that Jesus did not stop did not come to the boat until they cried out until they got his attention until they realized it was Jesus and they needed Jesus more than anything else maybe he just wanted to see if they realized that they had a need oh don't you know that God looks upon us and he sees all kinds of needs but sometimes I wonder if he thinks to himself I see the need but do they see the need I know that there's an issue with their marriage but do they see the issue with their marriage I know they got problems in the home but do they realize they have problems on or do they think they have all the answers I don't want to be a no at all when it comes to my relationship with God that's a spirit that's hard to handle a know-it-all spirit got an answer for everything you can't tell them anything because they already know it you know it's the type of people that always one up you know what I'm talking about you tell me yeah I had a cracked tooth and I was at 45 000 feet in the air for 17 hours and they had three crack teeth and they were in the air for 17 and a half hours you know what I'm saying you know those people and I kind of wonder if God doesn't sometimes see the need but say I'm going to see what they're going to do about their need ah I want to see I want to see it if they're going to start reading self-help books about their need or if they're going to pray about their need I'm gonna see if they're going to diagnose their sickness and and figure out exactly what medication that they're going to prescribe themselves and get on in order to overcome whatever the sickness is or if they're actually going to kneel down and say God I know I could probably Google this on med.com or whatever it is I I know I could probably look but God I'm going to go to you first because there's a need in my body and I don't want to be like this I don't want to feel like this I don't want to go through these infirmities I I don't want to go through this pain in this sickness so instead of of dealing with it and managing it for six months I might just go to you first and ask you to take care I want you to know I'm not a know-it-all I don't know all things I I don't have answers to every question but I know what God who does and a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly all that we can ask and above all we can ask and or think when the woman with the issue of blood watch this right here when the woman with the issue of blood touched the Hem of Jesus garment Jesus felt virtue the Bible says power leave his body still recognize that this was an unintentional miracle do you realize that she was healed before Jesus even knew who she was I want you to think about this we're talking about getting the attention of Jesus Jesus looks around and says who touched me his disciples said Jesus what are you talking about you've got all kinds you got people throwing in you you're in a crowd well we're like in a we're in a parade People Are People there's people bumping into you there's everybody is touching you however this time the person that was touching him had a problem this time the person that was touching him had Faith this time the person who was touching him got his attention because when he said who touched me and he Whirled around and there she was and she was the Bible says she was discovered unto him which simply means she was not wanting him to know who she was because she was unclean and the last thing levitically the last thing she was allowed to do was touch something clean because she was unclean for 12 long years but Jesus looked at her and said there's so much Faith wrapped up in this one woman right here who doesn't even have to get my attention outside of touching my garment but because you touched my garment and I felt the release of power you got my attention and not only are you healed but you're gonna walk away from here with Pisa and you're going to walk away whole somebody cut your hands if you're thankful for a god when you get his attention he does so much more than just heals you he may your whole he lets you have a miracle a miracles Miracle size and wonders is what I've come to preach about tonight do it above all you got to increase your chances for a miracle in the natural you see before you believe but with the supernatural you've got to believe before you see I'm going to say that again in the natural when it comes to natural law you see before you believe but with the supernatural you've got to believe it before you can see it Matthew chapter 12 verse 9 Matthew 12 and 9 it simply says and when Jesus was departed fence he went into their synagogue and behold there was a man which had his hand withered look down to verse 13. I don't care about all those religious rulers and what they thought verse 13 says then saith he to the man stretch fourth thine hand I can stop right here because we notice where Jesus was when he asked the man to stretch forth his hand he was at church and don't you know it's at church where we find it the hardest to open up and admit the things that bring shame somebody just nod your head at me you don't have to even speak just nod your head at me man it's easy out there to admit things that bring a shame but when we come into the house of God there's something about this Apostolic Society uh that we have we have put together and and I love it I wouldn't trade anything for it but a lot of times we can all walk into this place and if you look around you might just assume that everybody has it together you look at husbands and wives oh they're so neatly dressed they're showing up driving up in that 2022 parking and getting walking in with their free kids perfectly dressed everybody's well behaved everything looks good they look healthy oh man they live in the nice part of town everything's good and we come to church and that sometimes is the image we like to profess when all the time we've got a hand that we're concealing inside of a beautiful jacket or a beautiful dress and we're holding it back now now we're waving our head we're waving this hand oh yes Lord come on choir see it now sing that power down well all the time there's something within our Karma there's something hidden there's something that we've we have we have kind of kind of in secret and oh listen nothing wrong with it because nature is what caused that thing you were born with that thing we were all born in sin every single one of us were born does not nature tell us not the word of God tell us that every single one of us since Adam was born into sin but we don't want to sow that we don't want to show issues in marriages and listen I know a crowd this ties I know there's issues and marriages There's issues at home there's issues with children There's issues on the workplace there's all there's issues in the body there's sicknesses there's people on these pews that have diseases in your body that you have not told anybody else about I don't know why I've never had a disease maybe it's because there's just a little bit you don't want people talking about it you don't want people asking you about it there's just a little bit of the withered hand syndrome if you will and you're kind of keeping it to yourself but I want you to know that Jesus what gets his attention is people who who say Jesus I'm not ashamed to show you my weaknesses I'm not ashamed to show you my Securities I'm not ashamed to show you what brings me shame I will if you want to see it if you want to perform a miracle in my life I'll reach it out I'll stretch it forth do what you have to do to make me new so many Praises just for a moment I feel a Holy Ghost in This Place I feel like there's somebody here that came with a need and you don't want to walk out with that need I feel there's somebody that walks in here sick and you're gonna walk out healed you walk in here bound but you're gonna walk out free he said to the man stretch forth thine hand and he stretched it forth and was restored whole like the other one give me another one like the other one sure Lord I know I'm coming here with with baggage I I know I'm walking in here Lord God I got all kinds of things weighing me down but I will not I will not leave this place the same way I came Lord God I am not content to be what I used to be I'm not content to be what I was last year or last month or even last week I don't want to leave here the same way I can I need a miracle in my life I wish somebody would help me I wish somebody would fall back your Sanctified angel wings and you would helmet and I and say I can't leave here the way I came I can't be the I need a miracle in my life foreign the supernatural Holy Ghost perform the supernatural in this place so many withered hands so much shame but we can't show it we gotta look around and make everybody else think we're like them we gotta make it really just think that everything's perfect but oh my God I like Mark 2 2 and verse 11 because there has to be a response when it comes to a miracle when Jesus tells you to do something I'll tell you why his hand was healed because when Jesus asked him to reach forth he reached it forth that's why I was healed if he wouldn't have done it if he would have waited till next week he wouldn't received his miracle and maybe Jesus would have been there next week so we can't come into this place and and somehow think that we're going to wait until next Sunday oh you know what I might wait until November December I'll tell you what it takes a lot of effort to pray for a miracle I'm gonna wait till it cools down a little bit I'm gonna get out of the Philippine weather brother Schnitzer brother Z Schnitzer I called her brother Xander this morning and I said it was the one time I felt like I didn't trip over your name and he said because you call me brother Zander well I mean I'm gonna wait till I'm gonna tell us a little nice I I don't want to sweat in the heat I listen you might not get another chance not one of us has promised tomorrow Mark 2 and 11. this is a story of a man born a four you remember the story that got up on the roof and broke open the roof and lowered them down to Jesus Jesus is in their teaching verse 11 says Jesus said he said I say unto thee arise and take up my bed and go thy way into that house in this verse in verse 12 this word right here and immediately he rose took up the bed and went forth before them all immediately I just come to preach about a God who does Miracles immediately nothing against healing nothing against a time where where your body will will the blood the blood vessels and and all the cells will heal themselves and and whatever it takes and whether it's cancer and those those cells got to die and and the red blood cells the white red blood cells will replenish and and heal the blood cells I I know that there's a time for healing but then there's also a time when God wants to perform an immediate miracle in your life but it takes a response say response city is a response we got to respond to the word every time the word is preached nothing worse there could be nothing worse than sin in a Holy Ghost Field sin in a place where the word of God is being preached when your life can be changed when when things can turn around for you and because you don't respond to the word you walk out the same way you walked in we got people all over this community who have never heard Acts chapter 2 preached they don't even know when Miracles are they don't even know what healing is they they're Church they don't believe in healing they don't believe in signs and wonders they don't believe in all that they believe it's all just for the time of Bible times but here you are here I am and here we get to hear this word being preached every service from this Pulpit God help me to respond immediately to what I hear I'm not talking about next week I need to respond right now to what God is saying in this room the reason why that man picked up his bed and walked on out of there it took four to get him in he picked up the bid all by himself and walked at home because he responded when Jesus said get up he didn't have to have another doctor's note he didn't either doctor to look at her again and prescribe him any medicine he just simply said Jesus if you said I'm Healed I'm getting up out of this bed and I'm going home whoo head response time is is so important and while I'm while I'm on the subject let me let me just say this we need First Responders in this altar to respond to those who are responding yeah I like that I use that word a lot in that sentence we call them Ultra workers First Responders you see a need we got a car we gotta connect group leaders and assistants and we got ministers and elders and man I'm talking good people Sunday school teachers and youth workers people that see the need on people and get to them as fast as they can First Responders it's kind of like an ambulance driver or a rescue squad driver that those people got to get there first they gotta they gotta find out what the what the issue is but but here let me let me just kind of talk to our First Responders and and we're going to have we're going to have some training and some certification going on here in just in the very near future in our midweek University but let me just talk real quick about what we do and what we don't do because we're about to have an altar service I want to make sure the First Responders respond to those that are responding let me just talk about it I had a little little break here we as First Responders we first have got to ask the person to share their need with us all right we we can't just assume that they're coming to receive the Holy Ghost I've seen people I've seen people pray for people to get the Holy Ghost for 30 40 minutes to find out that that person has had the Holy Ghost longer they had the Holy Ghost they just had a sickness in their body they were coming they were coming because they had a sickness in their body or they had something going on at home or or they had a need in their life and they were coming to the Altar and here they they got prayed for God give them the Holy Ghost God fill them with the Holy Ghost you can receive the Holy Ghost and they're thinking I would only goes for 45 years so First Responders the first thing we got to do is find out what is the need do you do you have a need in your body is it is it healing in your body because we have oil and we can anoint you with oil we could we can pray the elders can pray for you the the Pastoral team can we can pray over you is it healing in your house do you do you need something is something going on at home we we don't need details just tell us what we can believe with you about and we'll pray with you maybe it is for you to receive the Holy Ghost and if it's for you to receive the Holy Ghost we're going to have an opportunity for you tonight also but let me talk about this because here's what we don't do and this is we want listen to me First Responders we can't just assume somebody's singing for the Holy Ghost we can't shake people I'm gonna slow down right here this is so important I've been to churches before I've preached at churches before where a person was getting like head was getting violated somebody had their hand under their chin going yeah one person was one ear saying let go let go let go the person that is yellow hold on hold on hold on we don't yell in people's faces we don't breathe on people let the Lord breathe on people we heard that this morning you need a Tic Tac whatever it takes just don't breathe on people man I I say I don't want to scare nobody because it ain't gonna happen here and this one that's why I'm covering this I've seen people jabbing people in the chest that we're close to receiving the Holy Ghost that's it that's it that's it I thought oh God the ambulance driver is going to kill the person let's hook them up and get some vitals find out what's wrong get the blood pressure find out find out what's going on First Responders let me tell you what we're gonna do oh we we don't need 15 people all laying hands on the same person let that person is praying for them if it's an elder praying for somebody brother Ammons is praying for somebody let that person anoint them with oil and lay hands upon the sick we can always we can gather around pray for them we can reach our hand toward them we don't gotta Rock them shake them jab em poke them when you come up in this way listen this is a safe place up here it's a safe place for you to receive your miracle it's a safe place where you can know every Sunday night every Sunday morning even Wednesday nights now you could come to this altar every time and not be worried about what's going to happen to you you can just come and say God I have a need and if this brother this sister wants to pray for me oh one more thing one more thing this bothers me don't hold people's arms up don't hold people's arms up I've seen people before people hold their arms up they're like what's happening to me listen let them surrender on their own let them lift their hands on don't pull their hands out of their pocket don't do that allow them as First Responders coach them hey if you want to surrender to God this will be a great time for you to lift up your hands right here if you feel if you feel some power around you this will be a great time just to throw your hands up in a surrendering motion and just let God know I surrender to your will in my life Lord if you want to fill me with your spirit my hands are up I'm giving you my life I'm giving you my heart everything that I am is yours and then we we as the first responder we as the auto worker we just say God it's not by my power not by my might as such as I have give unto thee in the name of Jesus Christ stand your feet because I I feel the musicians are coming I just feel like God wants to do something great in this place I just I just feel like something good is about to happen in a life but but I want to see if you really if you've really taken to Heart what I've been preaching tonight because there's some people that are just going to sit back and say you know what I'm really not ready I'm not ready to reveal my need as of yet and I got sad news for you God will not force you to to give him your need if you don't want the Holy Ghost don't worry he will never Force his Spirit into your life but if you're here tonight and you say Lord oh I've got some major needs I I got some major situations going on I'm not talking about I'm not talking about your sinning or doing something horrible or or something that's frowned upon it could be just something listen we all have weaknesses and there's nothing wrong with bearing our weaknesses and saying God I need you right now more than I've ever needed you before I need you to perform something in my life I wonder if our elders I wonder if our elders would make their way right now we have we have oil in this altar service I would like to make it available listen I'm just an opportunist is all I am I want to give you an opportunity get your Miracle tonight on this side over here on my right side on your left side if we just have some of our elders if you would get a vital oil the Bible's very clear to call upon the Elders of the church if you have a sickness in your body if you have a need in your life now if you have a need in your life that's not what anointing is for anointing is for sickness but you can still tell the Elder what your need is and they can pray for you without the oil but then over here in Pastor Hammond Pastor Nolan if you will kind of stay in this area and I'm we're gonna have a whole lot of First Responders are going to join you and help you so that side over there I want that side over there to be our healing side so gentlemen if you go that way I need you to go that way with the oil because on this side over here if you need the Holy Ghost and I know you're here because I saw I got an email I get emails from all of our guests and at least one of the guests in the memo said I'm here seeking for the Holy Ghost so I know you're here I don't have to ask if you're here I know you're here in this area over here church family I want them to come first and then we're going to gather in we're going to pray for them is that all right oh First Responders I need you to help me right here if you're a saint of God if you've got the Holy Ghost I want you right now to begin to pray I want you right now to be able to seek God and help me in this time right here because I don't want anybody to leave the same way they came God forbid somebody that has a disease in their body would leave without coming into this place and allowing an elder to anoint them with oil if you've got sickness and don't think that any sickness is too small you might have arthritis don't think that's too small that's a sickness in your body that you shouldn't have to live with you shouldn't have to deal with the Bible says by his stripes we're healed thank you for your response I thank you for the immediate response I didn't have to call her up here and she said I want to be healed come on by his stripes we are he's already taken pain upon his body he's already taken straps upon his body he's already had a crown of thorns upon his body there's no sickness that you're facing tonight that God Jesus has not already faced if you need if you need healing line up line up Behind These that are getting prayed for if you want the Holy Ghost if you are the holy there's no greater Miracle than the Holy Ghost Redemption is the greatest Miracle on Earth today Redemption being saved from your sin is the greatest Miracle because every single one of us are going to Devil's Hill unless we receive the gift of the Holy Ghost unless we repent of our sins unless we get in the water in our baptized come on we need Holy Ghost to fall in this place we already have one come on we have another one come on receive ye the Holy Ghost just like the day of Pentecost just like the book of Acts in Acts chapter 2 in Acts chapter 8 and that's chapter 10 in Acts chapter 19 if you need the Holy Ghost it's for you it's for your children it's for all those that are for us even as many as the Lord Our God shall call come on saints of God begin to pray right now are there any others that either the Holy Ghost come on I know we have some children that have been seeking for the Holy Ghost this is your opportunity young person this is your opportunity mom and dad this could be your pray in this place Parker country just came up and told me a a praise report about three weeks ago she came up to my wife and I over here and she said I've got some some polyps that are forming on my vocal cords the doctor has told me I don't need to sing for a while and she said I just don't accept that she said I want you to pray that God would just take these little nose on the on the vocal cords that develop a lot of times through sickness we begin to pray for her and she said I felt healed but she said I wanted to go to the doctor just to prove my healing and she said when I wanted she just told me she said when I went to the doctor the next day he said I don't see any other polyps on your vocal cords your vocal cords are free they're clean no he might even say they're healed I don't know what he believes but if he's a man of Faith or not but we know what happened it wasn't due to Medicine it wasn't hey God Is A Healer he's still the same yesterday today and forever he can do a great thing a great work in your life only if you'll let him give God praise and give God glory in this house all right if you're still praying for someone to receive the Holy Ghost just continue
