Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The God Equation

  • He reads his one text standing: you thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
  • The equation on the screen is the whole argument of the sermon: evil plus God equals good - no matter what is added, if God is in the equation the answer becomes good.
  • He opens with the power of perception: two people can look at the very same picture and see two totally different things, and the perception the church has of its God decides everything.

Scriptures: Genesis 50:20

Cain and Abel: Two Perceptions of an Offering

  • He reads the first brothers from the head of the chapter: Cain brought of the fruit of the ground, Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof, and the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering.
  • The offering of Cain cost him the most labour - a field ploughed, planted and harvested by the sweat of his own brow - and perception said he was the winner.
  • But God had not respect to the offering of Cain; the wrong perception of what God required ended in anger, a fallen countenance, and the first murder.
  • The word of God to Cain carries the remedy: if you do well, shall you not be accepted? and if you do not well, sin lies at the door.

Scriptures: Genesis 4:1-7

David and the Giant

  • The challenge of Goliath is read: am I not a Philistine, and you servants to Saul? Choose you a man, and let him come down to me.
  • The answer of David turns on perception: who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
  • Saul and the army shared the perception Goliath had of them and hid; David perceived a different reality - he served a God who is greater.
  • He reads the confrontation entire: you come to me with a sword and a spear, but I come to you in the name of the Lord; this day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, for the battle is the Lord's - and David prevailed with a sling and a stone, and there was no sword in the hand of David.

Scriptures: 1 Samuel 17:8; 1 Samuel 17:26; 1 Samuel 17:45-50

Joseph: The Pathway of the Equation

  • The favour on Joseph was never free: the coat and the dreams drew the jealousy of his brothers, and his own good perception of life left him ignorant of their evil thoughts toward him.
  • He walks the pathway link by link - the field, the pit, the traders, Egypt, a master's house, the prison, the butler, Pharaoh - and every link was an evil that God was turning.
  • His closing catena gathers the God of the equation: by him all things were created; yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory; the Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace; the Lord is my strength and my shield.

Scriptures: Colossians 1:16; 1 Chronicles 29:11; Exodus 14:14; Psalm 28:7

The Mind of Christ

  • He reads the witnesses chapter: lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and run with patience the race set before us, looking unto Jesus, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, despising the shame.
  • Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: perception is a way of thinking, and the equation is simple - when you add God to anything, the answer is always good.
  • He comes back to his text and reads it again entire - you thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good - and calls the church to thank God for trials instead of asking for revenge.
  • The altar close presses the choice on every hearer: will you be a victim, or will you be a victor? Add God to your situation, and let him step into the equation.

love you so much genesis chapter 50 verse 20 it says as it says but as for you you thought evil against me but god meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day to save much people alive another translation says you plant evil against me but god used those same plans for my good yet another translation says god turned into good what you meant for evil i want to apologize in advance sister franklin i want to apologize in advance because i set out this week begin this week just just to study a good bible lesson to come out on a wednesday night and just just teach some good word and and the more i study the more god just gave me and and i don't know what it's going to happen tonight i don't know if it's going to bria uh be a preaching or teaching or preaching or whatever you want to call it but i just feel like god wants to speak into somebody's life today because there is what's called a god equation a matter of fact on that verse that's on the screen the verse that you see on the screen the god equation simply says evil plus god equals good y'all see that i know they can't put the whole the whole scripture on this on the screen at one time but that but that simply says it's an equation it's a god equation simply evil plus god equals good no matter what you add god to it's gonna become good no matter what somebody tries against you somebody tries to put on you somebody tries to to do to you or treat you it really doesn't matter if god is involved in it if god is in the equation all of a sudden the answer becomes good i don't know about you i just feel the holy ghost already in this place i i know we came for a midweek bible study but i i believe that god is going to help somebody out of something that you're in tonight i i just believe if you'll add god into your equation tonight something great is gonna take place in your life if you believe that why don't you lift up both hands with me and say god speak to me speak into my life oh god i'm your person i'm your people we are your people we've been called by your name oh god and we need you in times of struggle in times oh god of adversity in times lord when we think that all lord god that all hope is lost lord if we have you in the midst thought god of our problem everything is gonna be all right i ask for your anointing tonight in jesus name we pray and everyone said amen amen you may be seated i'm gonna preach about the power of perception it's a god equation uh i've got some i've got some pictures they're going to put one at a time and i'm going to kind of roll through these uh but speaking of of perception look at some of these and what do you see i i like that top left one the one they're both look at the same thing but one says four and one says three i i don't know it's kind of confusing i guess it's where you're standing down the bottom left uh some of you probably saw a vase and and then others probably saw two people about to either get mad at one another or or maybe i don't know maybe kiss i don't know the one up in the right corner i see uh half a man's face looking at me but the same time i see somebody looking over here that elephant has some funny looking legs and i can't even really count them every time i try to start counting i lose count of where they are perception is what we're looking at look at look at the next tile oh a boat oh land and look at the next one i like this next one it's a nine no it's a six it's a nine we have the power to perceive what we choose to perceive you can take those down i don't want but two people can look at the very same thing the very same picture and see two totally different things i want to give you a good biblical example of perception bc that dates back to the to the beginning of time two brothers the first two sons in the bible cain and abel right adam and eve had had offspring cain and abel and cave and abel the bible talks about that one day they came to present an offering to the lord but their perception their perceptions were very different matter of fact they're as different as polar opposites and and cain's perception of an offering was something that cost himself the most and abel's perception of an offering was what god required the most and i'm going to kind of prove this to you because some of you are like i think he got these backwards but look with me in genesis chapter 4 and verse 1. i want to read a little bit about the perception of these two men and adam and eve and adam knew eve his wife and she conceived and bear cain and said i have gotten a man from the lord and that's interesting to me there and at first i want to say well she's she this is the first child born and it's a male but then it talks about abel she bare his brother abel and she didn't say anything about god gave her another man it just says and abel was a keeper of sheep but cain was a tiller of the ground and in process of time it came to pass that cain brought of the fruit of the ground and all freedom to the lord in abel he also brought of the fatlings of the flock and the fat thereof and the lord had respect unto abel and to his offering but let's be honest about something if we're going to compare the two offerings from a from a perspective okay from perception of two different people we got to be honest that plowing a field with caveman tools and technology is probably a little bit more difficult than watching a bunch of sheep under a shade tree got to realize that the offering the offering that cain brought to god took a whole lot more effort than the offering that abel brought because see here with fruit and vegetables grown in the field it's not quite as is glamorous to watch them grow as watching a lamb grow into a sheep where cain showed up when he showed up his offering he was proud of his offering and we've got to understand this to really understand why he got so upset when god didn't accept his offering he had worked hard he had tilled the ground he he didn't have modern day technology he didn't even have a horse he didn't he didn't have what we would think about as as as old plows and in horse-drawn plows he plowed it himself with the sweat of his own brow he plowed the field he planted he sold the whatever it was the bible talks about fruit of the ground if that was vegetables he had sown these vegetables and and he had waited for them to come up and he had brought them as an offering to god and i'm sure that he was so proud of the offering that he brought and and perception says based on how things seem that cain was the winner because he worked the hardest to bring an offering that cost the most and i know i know that the abel brought an offering and i understand that that offering had to be killed and blood had to be shed but i also understand that that with a shepherd if he has hundreds of sheep it was probably uh it was probably just another sheep it was the first scene of the flock but but it probably was just another sheep and it didn't cost him all that much but genesis chapter 4 and 5 says but unto cain and to his offering he had not respect speaking of god and cain was very roth he was very angry in his countenance his facial expression fell it changed and the lord said unto cain why art thou wroth and why is thy countenance falling watch this right here it says if god said if thou doest well shalt thou not be accepted and if thou doest not will sin lieth at the door you see the wrong perception of what god required results in anger and it also resulted in the very first murder and god asked he said why in the world are you so angry and i believe it all had to do with cain's perception of the offering that he brought to god because he brought an offering that was important to him but it wasn't important to god because god was looking for an offering of blood and fat and sacrifice and so we have god saying all you have to do is get right all you have to do is change your perception about the offering all you have to do is sell and trade some of your fruit some of your vegetables for your brother's sheep and you too can be successful and be pleasing unto me but we have a man who refused to do that and we understand that he was the very first murderer but i just believe if someone in this place tonight would change their perception they would accept what god feels is the correct offering that's all cain had to do all he had to do was trade the fruit all he had to do is say god i give you my life and i give you lord it's not my will but it's your will it's not what i perceive as important but it's what you perceive as important but he made the choice our perception of god and his requirements will either cause sin in our life and sin to come knocking at our door or will cause us to live a victorious life for god it's all about perception it affects us every day of our life it affects each one of us personally i want to preach about i want to preach about the youngest son of jesse he had quite a perception of his god look at me in first samuel chapter 17 and verse number eight uh this story is is a is a warn maybe a worn out story but i began to realize that david's perception is what got him the victory it was adding god into the equation that truly got him the victory that we have got to understand our perception on life our perception of who we are and whose we are is so important so first samuel 17-8 says in goliath he he stood and cried unto the armies of israel and said unto them why are you come out to set your battle in a ray or why are you setting your battle in formation why look at this right here says am i not a philistine and you're servants of saul choose you a man from you and let him come down to me first thing is goliath had a perception of a philistine that apparently david did not have y'all see this and secondly goliath perceived that saul was the lord of david did you see that right there he's saying i'll tell you what i'm a philistine i'm a warrior from my youth i i'm a man of legend and all you are is is the servants of saul saul is your lord but david's perception was so different than goliath's perception in first samuel 17 and 26 move on down a little bit says and david spake to the men that stood by him saying what shall be done to the man that killeth this philistine and taketh away the reproach from israel for who is this uncircumcised philistine that he should defy the armies of the living god you see goliath perceived himself and as some great line a great bloodline of heroes but david perceived goliath as a filthy barbarian that nobody even knew who he was he was saying who is this guy that speaks against our god oh goliath perceived the army of israel as being servants of saul but david perceived the israelite army as being the army of the living god so let me share this with you the real problem of this situation right here is that king saul and the army of the israelites had the same perception that goliath had and that was the problem that's why they found themselves hiding uh in the hills and found themselves hiding behind great rocks and and hiding in the trees every time goliath would come out and and threaten the people of god they would cower down because their perception of their self was the same perception of their enemy but that's where david changed everything because to some i've heard the statement that perception is reality oh but david said that might be your reality but let me tell you a little bit about my reality because i serve a god who is greater i serve a god who is stronger he is mighty he is able and i'm his servant i'm his child and he does battle for me david understood the god equation he said if i can just get god into this situation everything's going to turn out for my good verse 45 said then david said to the philistine thou cometh to me with a sword and with a spear and with a shield and to goliath his perception that was his perception of strength but then david said but i come to thee in the name of the lord jesus christ and that was david's perception of his strength he was saying i know a name i know a name that's above every other name and i want you to know that david didn't even know the name jesus like we know but he understood that he served the one and true god the only living god and he understood as he knew him by he will come and fight my battle for me he said this day will the lord deliver thee into my hand and i will smite thee and take thine head from me and i will give the carcass of the host of the philistines this day unto the fowls of the air into the wild beasts of the earth that all the earth may know that there is a god in israel and all the assembly shall know that the lord saveth not with a sword in spear for the battle is the lord's and he will give it to your hand and it came to pass oh i like this when the philistine arose and came and drew nigh to me david that david ran he hastened and ran toward the army to meet the philistine and david put his hand in his bag and took hence a stone and slang it and smoked the philistine in the forehead and the stone sunk into his forehead and he fell upon the face of the earth so david prevailed over the philistine with the sling and with the stone and smote the philistine and slew him i like this last line this last sentence simply says but there was no sword in the hand of david the equation was not evil plus david equals good it was not evil plus they david said i got nothing to do with this for my perception of my god is so great all i got to do is show up to the battle all i got to do is set myself in place all i got to do is find five smooth stones and my god will take control from this point forward we got to get out of our minds that david was some kind of a a great slingshot warrior i got news for you slingshots don't kill bears and slingshots don't kill lions it takes a god that will take that stone from that slingshot the lion the bear that attacked him in the wilderness i know we give credit to david but come on if you're a hunter in this place you know my god it takes it i don't even know what kind of gun it would take to take down a bear or a lion but i'll tell you what it'll take more than a stone coming out of a piece of leather but when you have a god like david had and david already understood his perception was so true of his god he said if you took that stone out of my sling and you killed the bear and you took that stone out of my sling and you killed a lion then you're going to take the same stone out of my sling and you're going to kill the giant that's trying to fight me and the trying the evil that's come against me oh my god if we could ever get a perception of our god like david had i'm going to appreciate this for a moment david was nothing more than an opportunist he said i'll tell you what god i'm gonna give you an opportunity to show yourself strong we need more opportunists in the church today we need people that will say i'm nothing but i serve a god that's something and i ain't got nothing in this bag that's gonna kill a giant but i serve a god who's able to take anything and defeat the enemy of my life because with god all things are not only possible but we read the first equation simply says when evil comes my way if i'll put god into the equation everything will turn out for my good evil that happens in our lives whether we brought it upon ourselves or we had nothing to do with it if we have the right perception god will eventually turn it to the good but we got to have the right perception i'm preaching about the god equation i'm going to bring this home in just a minute but i've got to preach about the joseph the joseph perception because this is what this whole this this whole text is about i i don't know if if there's a story in the bible about a cleaner guy that ends up with more and more egg on his face if you will i'm talking about a guy oh my everywhere he turned everything he did he he showed up and and it looked like poor joseph man god poor joseph i'll tell you this first of all favor is never free favor is never free people talking lord give me favor let me tell you something with favor there there comes some baggage with favor talk about talk about joseph man joseph he had a he had a coat of many colors and he was preferred over his brothers and he had favor from his father and he was the most loved one and had a lot of favor but but let me tell you something along with that came jealousy came hatred from his brothers evil evil thoughts evil intentions when i read the story of joseph i i feel his his perception of himself allowed him to live in just a little bit of ignorance you know what i'm saying i mean you read the story and he's out he's he's he's got his family around the table and he's talking about this dream they're all gonna about brother snitzer they're all gonna bow down to him i mean there's there's no at the time he was the youngest and there's there's no youngest brother that has any sense that's going to start talking about his older brothers bowing down to him right and then he goes further and he saw something on his parents his mom and dad are going to bow down to him and and i you know his perception of life and his perception of himself was was so good i i feel there's a touch of ignorance that went along with it and he he obviously didn't perceive himself the way his brothers did he obviously never caught on to their perception until it was a little too late if you will but maybe sometimes it's okay to allow our perception on life to make us ignorant of others around us i'll give you a good example and he's out of town tonight but i i helped raise him so i'm going to talk about him but but my my little brother-in-law knowing i remember him through through high school and my wife and i would have conversations about this let me tell you something that boy has the has the greatest perception on life it's a great thing it's something that i prayed god give me that perception because i'm talking you know he nolan man i couldn't talk about like this if he was here but man he's just he's so talented he was he was one of the best basketball players on the court when he was in high school he was he was one of the best golfers in high school he was he he was he was a kid whatever sport he played he would excel at he it was just who he was and uh striking young man good looking guy and and there was a lot there's a lot to be jealous of and i want you to know looking on from the outside i i could see that that there were people there were young people from other schools that have a lot of issue with him at the time but knowing he was kind of like joseph he just kind of he didn't have a clue never knew it i would watch him walk up to a group at competition a group of guys that i knew for a fact sister masa didn't like him i knew for a fact that they had an issue with him because of who he was dating or or because of his talent because of his skill and and he would just walk up to people and he would just man he would high-five him and put his arm around him and talk to him and i'm standing i'm standing on the outside looking in i'm going these guys don't like him but he had no idea and that's what that's what brought this this perception this personality that he has they think he could walk into a crowd and and he he just thinks everybody loves him and that's that's kind of how joseph felt and i will say i will say that those same people that had an issue with them then love them now because he fought through that and that was something i pray i said god give me that perception that i could not care about what anybody else thinks that my perception on life is so good that i don't have to question well i wonder if he likes me or wonder if she likes me i wonder if they accept me i i wonder if they think i'm a good singer am i a good preacher if i walk into their into their church if they're going to accept me i wish my perception i pray this i say god give me a joseph perception that i could just walk in and say hey thus saith the lord he gave me a dream and you're going to bow down to me and y'all just got to get over it because that's just god's will that's what's going to happen one day and that was just brother fuller that was his perception on life but think of it if he would not oh my god i got to thinking about joseph and reading through his story i got to thinking if he would not have had that perception on life if he would have cared what his brothers thought of him and feared his brothers because their perception of him was evil and their perception of him was evil thoughts toward him i'll tell you what he would have never went to the field that day to bring them a little bit of food and to check on them and if he wouldn't have went to the field that day then he would have never been thrown into the pit and if he would have never been thrown into the pit then he would have never been traded uh they've never been sold to the traders and if he would have never been sold to the traders then he would have never ended up in egypt and and he started working in potiphar's house and if he hadn't worked in potiphar's house he would have never met potiphar's wife and if he had never met potiphar's wife then he wouldn't have never been thrown into the king's prison and if he would have never been thrown in the king's prison then he wouldn't have ever met the butler of the pharaoh and if he would have never met the butler or the pharaoh then he would have never met the pharaoh and if he would have never met the pharaoh then he would have never been second in command of all egypt and every single one of those things were trials or evils in his life come on any one of us we would have cried at any one of those situations oh god why do you have me in this pit to suffer god i thought you told me i was gonna you you gave me dreams and you told me that everybody was gonna bow to me how in the world am i in this pit if it was you and i if our perception was a pit mentality oh my god we would have just died in the pit but joseph thought hey they're bringing me up out of here what's next god i'm putting myself into a god equation what do you got for me next oh god oh you're going to sell me to a bunch of issues like traders well everybody else would have said oh no what about my coat of many colors what about my favor but joseph just said hey i don't know where this path is leading me but i've got a dream i've got a dream that one day i don't know how it's going to happen but i'm just going to allow god into my equation because sooner or later a dream that god has given me is going to come to pass i just got to stay on the pathway it's a pathway of evil come on somebody potiphar's wife is there trying to pull him or trying to pull him into her bedroom but he says this is a pathway i just got to keep on moving i got to keep on moving even when he's in jail he said i'm going to be the best the very very best cellmate i can be give me a broom give me something to clean with i'll do whatever i have to do because he always made sure that god was in his equation and so what happens well i'll tell you what happens he was an opportunist because he gave god an opportunity to save his own people from annihilation god said i've got to move you through some situations that are gonna be very unpleasant but if you'll just keep on moving through these situations and you'll keep your perception on me instead of the situation and oh my god that's what i've come to preach about today we gotta stop looking at the present problems that we're in the middle of and realize if we'll just look up come on somebody if you're in a pit today if you'll just look up you'll see god he'll be looking down at you and saying just hold on i've got something for you i've got something in store for you your ministry you might feel like your ministry is all dried up and bearing uh and all desolate but if you'll just keep on looking up i've got a pathway i'm about to take you into a country and that country is going to save my people from starvation god help us have a new perceptional life help us have a new perception on our god and his power colossians 1 16 says for by him were all things created that are in heaven that are in the earth visible and invisible whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers all things were created by him and for him it was the first fubu he said i'm creating all this for me he said everything that's here whether it's royalty and principalities whether it's kingdoms whether it's cities or countries or or fields whatever it is god said i've created it for for me first chronicles 29 11 says thine oh lord is the greatness and the power in the glory and the victory and the majesty for all that is in the heaven and earth is thine thine is the kingdom o lord and thou art exalted as head above all exodus 14 14 says the lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace psalm 28 7 says the lord is my strength and my shield my heart trusted in him and i am helped therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth with the song and i will praise him i wish tonight somebody would get this perception of their god that joseph had that simply said my god is able to take me out of the circumstances that i'm in and the evil that's tore me and he's able to make something good out of it it's the god equation it's our choice will we be a victim or will we be a victor that's our choice i can't stand seeing apostolic pentecostals holy ghost-filled people moping around head hung down my god we've got to wake up and realize who our god is the power that's inside of us come on if you've been filled with the holy ghost you've got something in you that nobody else has inside of them this world they're on their own they're trying to make their own ends meet their equation doesn't include god but if you have god on the inside it doesn't matter where you are it doesn't matter what you are you have god you have everything you need to be victorious the fact of fact evil is going to take place in all of our lives we call them hardships we call them mistreatment we call it abuse but it's our choice oh my god if we add him to our equation because here it is here's where people miss out they have other equations evil plus complaining equals failure yeah yeah look at the children of israel walking around wandering around all they did was complain complain about this complain about that food's not right weather is not right don't like where we are don't like what we're doing don't like what we're eating everything complain complain complain all it was was failure they had a 40-year sentence because of it evil plus feeling sorry for yourself equals failure evil plus revenge equals failure joseph had every opportunity to to my god he could have done whatever he wanted to to his brothers he could have made them a public example i'll show you what i'm gonna do to you you put me in a pit you sold me to a trade company i'll show you what i'm gonna do to you now you look who's in charge you look who you're bowing down to now revenge i'll show you exactly what's going to happen to you but i thank god that joseph had enough sense to realize there's a famine back home and the only way that my people are going to be saved is if i get them here into this region around egypt if i can just get them to goshen if i can get them out of the wilderness and if i can get them here i can make sure that my family is saved and that was more important to joseph than getting revenge over what had happened in his childhood listen i know there's people in this place today they had horrible things done to them as a child i know there's people in this place today that had horrible abusive previous marriages i i know there's people in this room today that have been slandered and you've been cheated and all of us have had joseph tragedies take place in our life but let me ask you something i'm going to ask you the same thing will you be a victim or will you be a victor will you allow god will you allow god to set you up will you allow god to promote you or will you say i'm going to take things into my own hands what did jesus do well hebrews 12 1 i believe he had some i believe he has some evil done to him bible says wherefore seen we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses let us lay aside every weight in the sin watch this right here which doth so easily beset or attack us and let us run with patience the race that is set before us looking example looking unto jesus the author and the finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising or resisting the shame oh y'all see that right there bible says the crucifixion there was no more shame there was no worse way to die you were naked on a tree nailed up before the whole city you were up on a hill for everyone to look at all kinds of shame were in the faces of people on the cross but jesus he resisted the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of god for consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself lest he be weary and faint in your minds that's perception right there what's going on in your mind you can either be a victim or you can be a victor it's either you having the mind of christ matter of fact philippians 2 and 5 says let this mind be in you which was also in christ jesus and what that's saying is let this way of thinking be in you that was in jesus let this perception of the situation be in you that was also in jesus the equation is so simple when you add god to anything the final answer is always god when you add god to anything oh my god i pray if there's somebody in this place who's facing a life of shame oh my god lift up your head oh ye gazer and be lifted up you everlasting doors for the king of glory shall come in who is this king of glory he's the lord god strong and mighty the lord god mighty in battle i know his name is jesus and he's a warrior he's a victor he's a fighter he's a defender let this mind be in you and change your perception genesis 50 20. back to our back to our text but as for you here we are joseph he's standing before his brothers he says as for you you thought evil against me but god meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day to save much people alive he was simply saying to them you thought you could devour my perception of life but really i want to thank you that's what he was saying he said because you made me the greatest opportunist around i want to thank you and some people you need to start saying lord i thank you for trials lord i thank you lord god that you don't always make everything easy on me because if everything was easy i would have no need for a physician but thank god the great physician is looking for the sick he's looking for the needy he's looking for people like you and i who say god i don't want to do this on my own i can't do this on my own i need you to step in my life and make all things good we used to sing a song around here the sanctuary choir used to sing a song it was entitled i want it all back and the bridge was my favorite part of the song it simply said if you only knew what i was gonna be after the storm you wouldn't have even bothered me and i think about that brother chase i think to myself oh my god sometimes the devil doesn't even know who he's messing with he looks at me and he thinks i can take him down he's just a little small david uh he ain't nothing but a little joseph he he ain't nothing but if you only knew what i was gonna be after the storm you wouldn't have even bothered me and then the song goes on and i i like it because it continues it says because now i'm stronger i've got more power i'm a little bit wiser i've got more strength i got the anointing i got god's favor and i'm still standing whoa somebody just used to say thank you thank you brothers i know you meant it for evil i know you were trying to take me down devil i know you looked at me and thought that you were messing with something small but greater is he that is within me than he that is in this world creator is my god greater is my god verse one says you may have thought you won the last round maybe you left because i almost fell down maybe you think i'll give a pz but it's not over i've got more in me you thought i stopped you thought i sat down but i am standing you made me mad now i got some things i i think you hold me i've come to get back everything that you stole i wish so many some of you look at me like a like a bump on a log and that's okay cause you probably got a life all figured out but i don't have a life all figured out i still go through things and i look back and say god how is this gonna happen how's that gonna happen i wish somebody in this place would rise up and say devil you hit me hard i should be knocked out things i've been through i don't even want to talk about you crossed the line you violated me i want revenge i want it all back from a to z the battle's not mine the battle is the lord and in the name of god i'm taking it by stone i think we gotta pull that choir song back out because that song gives me faith that song gives me a perception of my god that says oh nothing is too hard nothing is impossible have faith in me have faith that i'm able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask and don't think remain standing with me instead of crying out to evil why don't you look your enemy in the face and say thank you for making me stronger thank you for making me wiser you've given me experience and the experience you've given me is gonna help me for next time those mistakes those times i tripped up those the times i fell every time you ought to learn from your mistakes young person every time you mess up every time you slip up you want to learn from your mistake the worst thing that could ever happen is you not learning from your mistake and learn from your siblings mistake nothing drives me crazier than to see a good holy ghost young person watch their brother or sister backslide watch watch watch their younger older brother backside watch them go through all kinds of junk watch them get hooked on drugs watch them get all kinds of sexual all kinds of horrible things going on debauchery in their life and then the next thing i know they're fouling them right out dear god learn from your brothers and sisters mistakes what's the point of a trial if you don't learn anything from it tribulation i'll tell you tribulation listen that's something you learn something from god puts things in our life so he can teach us lessons it's not because he doesn't love us it's not because he doesn't care about us he wants to make sure that when we take the final test we can pass the final test i want you i want you just to close your eyes in this place and i feel the holy ghost and i pray that somebody that's here i don't know i know you came ready for a bible study you came ready to sit and just listen and just just soak in the word but i believe you might have came here with something going on in the back of your mind in the deep dark place of your mind and i i feel there's fear in the room i i feel there's people that they're just unsure of circumstances they're unsure i don't know maybe it's a marriage that's in trouble i i don't know what it is but there might be kids that are backslidden it might be a financial issue there's anybody that want to come to the altar and just say god god you and you alone know what i'm going through but god i refuse to give up i refuse to hang my head down low i i refuse to be that guy or that gal i refuse to be the complainer or the mourner i'm just gonna lift up my head i'm gonna walk into this situation and i'm going to believe oh god that you're going to take care of it i'm going to believe lord god if i'll just pick up a smooth stone out of the brook i was going to give you the opportunity oh god to do something great with my situation come on all over this place people are coming forward church family don't give up on me now come on i need you to help me pray in jesus name in jesus name these are people with real needs legitimate needs oh god step into their life
