Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
A word for this church
- He says he would not usually do this, but he believes God has given him a word for this church tonight, and he asks for twenty minutes. He speaks to saints who feel they have just been going through it and cannot catch a break: the devil would love for them to leave defeated, but praise and worship are things the devil cannot take. His text is Isaiah 6:1 — "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple" — and his subject is that God is still on the throne.
Scriptures: Isaiah 6:1
Trouble reveals the power of God
- Trouble has a way of revealing the power of God, and the hearers need a new perspective on it: not all trouble is from the enemy, because God sometimes sends trouble to reveal Himself. Adversity breeds strength, and trouble precedes power; those who have had to fight their way through are stronger than those who never faced anything. People get so focused on their problems that they forget they serve a problem solver, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the wonderful Counselor. Circumstances do not determine worship — when life is good or bad, well or sick, blessed or without two nickels to rub together, the answer is still to serve and praise Him.
Job: you can't take my worship
- Job was blameless and upright, the greatest of all the men of the east, and God had put a hedge of protection around him that Satan could not get past. Satan argued Job served God only because of the hedge and the blessing — seven sons and three daughters — and God allowed him power over everything except Job's life, proving there is no power but of God. The messengers came one after another: the oxen stolen by the Sabeans, the sheep consumed by fire from heaven, the camels taken, and finally the house falling on all ten children. In unimaginable pain Job fell on the floor and worshiped: the devil could take his possessions, his children, his health — but not his worship, his praise, or his release. Joseph in the pit and David hiding in caves must have realized the same thing: God is still on the throne.
It was good for me that I was afflicted
- He quotes David: "It was good for me that I was afflicted... because I was afflicted, I learned your statutes." Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire, Daniel cast into the lions' den though he prayed three times a day, and Stephen — who in the worst moment of his life looked up while being stoned and saw the glory of God — all show that trouble is sometimes sent to show the glory of God in a life.
Scriptures: Psalm 119:71
The train that fills the temple
- Isaiah was close to King Uzziah and enjoyed the benefits of that friendship, but when the king died, life as he knew it ended and for the first time he had to depend completely on God. The trouble pushed him close enough to the altar to hear the voice of the Lord asking who would go, and to answer, "Here am I, Lord. Send me." A king's train grew as he cut the trains from defeated kings and sewed them onto his own; a train that fills the temple means a God who has never lost a battle, and every problem — fear, sickness, depression, anxiety — is already sewn onto it. Peter sank when he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the waves; the lesson is to keep your eyes on Jesus.
I shall come forth as gold
- He closes with Job, who went forward and backward and could not find God, yet said, "He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold," and spoke of the thing appointed for him. Trials are appointed and sent for a reason; the hearers were built for this, and everything they need to conquer the enemy they already have. The message ends in a call to lift their hands and thank God for the trial — "Though He slay me, I'm still going to trust Him" — and to ask God to change their perspective on trouble: if they had never been through a storm, they would never know what it is for Jesus to say, "Peace, be still."

If you give me 8:00, if you give me 20 minutes,, I should be done. I would not usually do this, but I really feel that God has given me a word for this church to share with you today., I began to work on this a few days ago and I did not know when it was for, but as I was praying today, I really felt the Holy Ghost speak to me and tell me that, this was for this church tonight. I wonder if you could quickly stand today for the reading of the word. I want to talk to somebody, who maybe has been going through a storm. I want to encourage you. Obviously, we know your pastor's, facing some things. Continue to pray for him and his family. But I want to talk to a saint of God, a child of God who feels like we've just been going through it. I know how it is sometimes to it seems like we just can't catch a break. But I really feel a message of encouragement tonight. You know, the devil would love nothing more than for us to leave this place feeling defeated, feeling down, feeling upset. you know, I'm sure he's looking at us saying tonight that really there's no there's no reason we have really to be rejoicing and really to be praising God. But I just wonder if there's anybody that's here tonight who says, "I've still got to praise." I wonder if there's anybody here tonight who says, "I've still got my worship. I may be in a trial. I may be in a situation. I I may be in a problem, but there's some things the devil can't take from me." Isaiah chapter 6 and verse number one. The Bible says, you don't have to turn there today. The Bible says, "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and his train filled the temple." I want to preach just for a few minutes tonight on this subject. God is still on the throne. God is still on the throne. Why don't you lift up your hands and lift up your voice? We're thankful, Holy Ghost, for what you've done already. God, I'm believing there's another work that you want to do. I I believe God, you want to let somebody leave this place feeling encouraged by the power of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus. Why don't you put them hands together one more time? Hallelujah. Amen. You may be seated tonight. I'm going to be very brief tonight. The Lord will help me. Trouble has a way of revealing the power of God. I want somebody today to get a new perspective on trouble. you need to understand today that not all trouble is from the enemy. sometimes God will send trouble your way to reveal himself to you. I have found in my life that adversity breeds strength. I have found that trouble always precedes power. there are those who have to fight their way and claw their way and they struggle the way through life but I want to tell you they are always stronger than those who never really had to face anything and they are always stronger than those who never really had much adversity and difficulty. THERE'S SOMEBODY HERE TODAY I KNOW IT'S simple but I want you to understand that the reason the struggle is in your life is to make you stronger. sometimes we look at problems and it seems to be a curse and IT SEEMS TO BE SUCH A BAD THING. BUT BUT WHEN WE GET TO ANOTHER SEASON OF LIFE, IT'S THEN THAT WE LOOK BACK AND AND WE LOOK AT WHAT SEEMED TO BE A CURSE AND WE'RE ABLE TO SAY, "WELL, MY GOD, THAT WAS ACTUALLY A BLESSING." SOMETIMES WE GET SO FOCUSED ON OUR PROBLEMS THAT WE FORGET WE SERVE A PROBLEM SOLVER. SOMETIMES WE GET SO FOCUSED ON OUR WEAKNESS AND OUR INSUFFICIENCIES THAT WE FORGET WE SERVE THE MIGHTY GOD. WE SERVE THE EVERLASTING FATHER. HEY SOMETIMES WE GET SO FOCUSED ON OUR ANXIETIES AND ALL THE PROBLEMS IN OUR MIND. WE FORGET WE SERVE THE WONDERFUL COUNSELOR. I'VE COME TO TELL YOU THERE'S NO PROBLEM SO GREAT THAT OUR GOD CANNOT REACH HIS HAND DOWN AND SOLVE IT. YOU NEED TO understand tonight that you may be going through a storm, but God is still on the throne. You can be in the fight of your life, but I want to tell you, as long as God is on the throne, everything is going to be all right. YOU MAY NOT KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU wake up in the morning. YOU MAY NOT KNOW WHAT'S COMING AROUND THE CORNER. BUT AS LONG AS GOD IS ON THE THRONE, I'VE COME TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING WILL BE ALL RIGHT.
Somebody said, "I'm thankful for my struggle because without it, without it, I would have never stumbled upon my strength." I'm thankful for my struggle because without it, I would have never stumbled upon my strength. SOMETIMES YOU DON'T KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE until you get into A TEST. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ALL YOU CAN WITHSTAND UNTIL THE ENEMY BEGINS TO ATTACK YOU. HEY, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT BEING IN THE DARKNESS WHERE THE LIGHT OF GOD BEGINS TO SHINE BRIGHTER THAN IT EVER HAD BEFORE. THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT BEING IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU'RE CONFUSED, WHERE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. WHEN THE POWER OF GOD IS MORE REAL THAN IT'S EVER BEEN BEFORE. I tell you tonight, there's something powerful about a child of God who says, "When life is good, I'm going to serve you, but when life is bad, I'm still going to serve you." Hey, there's something powerful about a child of God who says, "When I'm well in my body, I'm going to serve you. when I'm sick, I'm still going to serve you. THERE'S SOMETHING POWERFUL ABOUT A SAINT OF GOD WHO SAYS, "HEY, WHEN I'M BLESSED AND WHEN I'VE GOT MONEY IN MY POCKET, HEY, I'LL STILL SERVE YOU." BUT BUT GOD, IF I DON'T HAVE TWO NICKELS TO RUB TOGETHER, HEY, I'M STILL GOING TO SERVE YOU. I WISH I HAD SOMEBODY TONIGHT WHO WOULD SAY, "MY CIRCUMSTANCES DON'T DETERMINE MY WORSHIP. HEY, THE PROBLEMS IN MY LIFE, THEY DON'T DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT I'M GOING TO WORSHIP AND PRAISE THE LORD." HEY, EVERYTHING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE GOOD FOR ME TO GIVE GOD PRAISE. EVERYTHING DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT FOR ME TO GIVE GOD PRAISE. HEY, GOD'S STILL BEEN GOOD TO YOU. GOD'S STILL BEEN KIND TO YOU. HEY, WHEN I THINK ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF JESUS, HEY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO NOTHING RIGHT NOW. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS THINK ABOUT WHAT HE ALREADY DONE. I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD CLAP YOUR HANDS AND GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE ALL OVER THE HOUSE. Can I tell you tonight that trouble happens to everyone. It rains on the just, it rains on the unjust. SOMETIMES BAD THINGS, CAN I TELL YOU IT happens to good people. CAN I TELL YOU? SOMETIMES WE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE'RE GOING through things that WE'RE GOING THROUGH. SOMETIMES IT SEEMS WE CAN BE DOING OUR BEST TO LIVE RIGHT AND AND DO OUR BEST TO BE STRIVING TO TO TO DO THE THINGS THAT THAT GOD HAS CALLED US TO DO THAT all of a sudden out of nowhere were hit with something. I was thinking about Job today. The Bible says he was blameless. The Bible says that he was upright before God. He feared the Lord and he shunned evil. The Bible says that he was a very rich man. And of all out of all the men in the east, the Bible says that he was the greatest. I want to tell somebody that the Bible says that God put a hedge of protection around Job. The devil came to him and he said, "Well," he said, "I've tried to get to Joe, but you've got this hedge that you've put around him." He said, "I've tried to attack his family, BUT YOU'VE GOT A HEDGE AROUND HIM." HE SAID, "I'VE tried TO MESS WITH HIS BODY, AND I'VE TRIED TO DO THIS AND THAT, BUT YOU'VE PUT A HEDGE around him." SATAN SAID I COULDN'T EVEN TOUCH HIM IF I WANTED TO. SATAN SAID, "EVERY TIME THAT THAT I TRY TO ATTACK JOB, THERE'S THIS HEDGE THAT'S BLOCKING ME." AND I WANT TO TELL SOMEBODY TONIGHT THAT THERE'S NOTHING THAT HAPPENS THAT THE LORD DOES NOT ALLOW TO HAPPEN. I WANT TO TELL YOU, THE ANGEL OF THE LORD ENCAMPETH ROUND ABOUT THEM THAT FEAR HIM AND DELIVERTH THEM. I WANT TO TALK TO SOMEBODY TONIGHT WHO'S BEEN WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE. WHO'S BEEN WORRIED ABOUT WHAT'S IN STORE FOR YOU. HEY, AS LONG AS YOU'RE LIVING RIGHT, AS LONG AS YOU STAY FULL OF THE HOLY GHOST, THERE'S NOTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU THAT GOD DOES NOT ALLOW. God does not allow to happen to you. We say it all the time that God has all power. I want you to really think about that. That means that there is no power that exists. that is not given from God. If he has all power, that means YOU AND I, THE ONLY POWER we have is from God. THAT MEANS THE ALL THE POWER THAT THE ENEMY HAS WAS GIVEN TO HIM OF GOD. THE BIBLE says there is no power but of God.
And the powers that be are ordained of God. So understand with me tonight that there is nothing that can happen to you that the Lord does not allow to happen to you. And Satan said the only reason he serves you is because you've got a hedge of protection about him. That's the only reason you've blessed him. He's got money. He's got a he's GOT SEVEN BOYS AND THREE GIRLS. That's the only reason that he served you. We see where God said, "Okay, my servant Job, there's nobody like him." But let's go ahead and put him to the test. I'LL ALLOW YOU TO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF POWER AND authority in his life. God says you can do anything except take his life. So once again, we see that God has all power. THAT GOD PUT A LIMIT ON THE POWER THAT HE GAVE Satan over Job. And we see that Satan immediately goes to work. and I'm hurrying on tonight. But the Bible says that a messenger came to Job and he said, "YOU KNOW THOSE THOUSANDS OF OXEN THAT YOU HAD." he said all of a sudden THEY WERE PLOWING AND THE Sabians came and stole them all away. The Bible says that this servant told him he said they killed your servants too. He said and only I escaped to tell you about it. The Bible says while he was yet speaking there came another one and said that there was fire that fell from heaven. AND HE SAID THOSE THOUSANDS OF SHEEP THAT YOU HAD he said IT CONSUMED THEM ALL and also the servants that you had it killed them too. He said only I escaped to tell you about it. The Bible says while he was yet speaking there came another servant. He said you know all the camels that you had. he said all of the sudden these people came out of nowhere and they stole all of your camels. He said they killed all your servants too. He said only I escaped to tell you about it. Then comes one more. The Bible says while he was yet speaking, I want YOU TO THINK ABOUT THIS with me. The Bible says that a servant came and he SAID, "JOB, YOU KNOW THE SEVEN SONS AND three daughters that you had." he said they were all in a house and they were eating and drinking and all of the sudden there came a wind FROM THE WILDERNESS. AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT IT TOOK AWAY THE corners of the house AND AND THE ROOF FELL IN AND IT SAID THAT HE SAID THAT IT KILLED ALL OF YOUR CHILDREN. So here's Job. He was a rich man. he had everything that he could possibly want. There was nothing that he could not afford. And all of a sudden, within a span of a minute or so, he finds out that all his possessions are gone. he finds out that his sons and his daughters have been killed AND ALMOST EVERYTHING THAT JOB had valued was taken away from him. AND HE LOST ALL THESE THINGS. BUT I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT THE BIBLE LETS US KNOW THAT IN THIS TIME OF UNIMAGINABLE PAIN, IN THIS TIME OF SUFFERING, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT JOB GOT UP AND HE THREW HIMSELF ON THE FLOOR. AND THE BIBLE SAYS HE BEGAN TO WORSHIP THE LORD. HE SAID, "HEY, DEVIL, YOU MAY TAKE MY KIDS. DEVIL, YOU MAY TAKE MY HEALTH. YOU MAY TAKE MY FAMILY. BUT I'VE COME TO TELL YOU THERE'S SOME THINGS THAT YOU JUST CAN'T TAKE." HE SAID, "YOU CAN'T TAKE MY WORSHIP. YOU CAN'T TAKE MY PRAISE., YOU CAN'T TAKE MY RELEASE. OH, I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD BELIEVE THAT TONIGHT. I WISH SOMEBODY RIGHT IN THE FACE OF THE DEVIL WOULD SAY, "HEY, YOU MAY HAVE TAKEN SOME THINGS YOU MAY HAVE GOT THE VICTORY EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE OVER MY LIFE., BUT THERE'S SOME THINGS THEY'RE JUST NOT FOR SALE., THERE'S SOME THINGS THAT YOU CAN'T TAKE FROM ME. I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE RIGHT NOW. COME ON. I WISH YOU'D REALLY GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE RIGHT NOW. COME ON. JOB SAID THEY MAY HAVE TURNED THEIR BACK ON ME. BUT HEY, GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE AND THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS. COME ON. WHY DON'T YOU LIFT UP YOUR VOICE RIGHT NOW AND GIVE GOD PRAISE? Come on. HE MAY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING, BUT BECAUSE HE REALIZED GOD WAS ON THE THRONE, HE REALIZED EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT. HEY, JOSEPH, YOU MAY BE IN THE PIT. YOU MAY BE FAR AWAY FROM YOUR FATHER AND FAR AWAY FROM YOUR BROTHERS. BUT YOU SEE JOSEPH MUST HAVE REALIZED I MAY BE IN THE PITUH BUT GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE. HEY, DAVID MAY HAVE BEEN HIDING OUT IN CAVES BUT HE MUST HAVE REALIZED I MAY BE IN A CAVE BUT GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE.
You can come to the music quickly. Think about Psalm chapter 119 and verse number 71. The Bible says, "It was good for me that I was afflicted. Was good for me that I was afflicted. Because I was afflicted, I learned your statutes." My trouble was good for me. I didn't realize it when I was hiding in those caves. AND I DIDN'T REALIZE IT WHEN I WAS ON THE RUN FOR MY LIFE. BUT NOW I LOOK BACK AND I THANK GOD THAT I WAS IN TROUBLE. IT WAS THE TROUBLE THAT REVEALED THE POWER OF GOD TO ME. SHADRACH, MESHACH, and Abedneo may have been cast in the fire, but they must have realized that God was still on the throne. Daniel was a good man that opened his window three times a day and prayed toward Jerusalem. Although he was living right and although he had A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, HE ALL OF A SUDDEN found himself being ripped away from his house and cast into a lion's den. But can I tell you that even though Daniel was in the lion's den, he realized that God was still on the throne. Think about Stephen being stoned to death, the worst situation of his life. And the Bible says that as they were throwing the rocks at him and as he was bleeding all over the place, the Bible says that in that moment he looked up. He looked up in a moment of pain and a moment of suffering and A MOMENT OF TRAGEDY. THE BIBLE says that he looked up and he saw the glory of God. He saw the glory of God. Why? Because he was on a trial. Because he was in a situation that he could not control. But what am I telling you tonight? I'm telling you that you need to get a new perspective on trouble. YOU NEED TO REALIZE SOMETIMES TROUBLE IS SENT TO SHOW THE GLORY OF GOD IN MY LIFE. WE NEED TO GET A PERSPECTIVE THAT HEY, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. HEY, THERE MAY BE WAR, BUT AS LONG AS GOD IS ON THE THRONE, EVERYTHING IS OKAY. HEY, THERE MAY BE SICKNESS, BUT AS LONG AS GOD IS ON THE THRONE, EVERYTHING'S GOING TO BE OKAY. THERE MAY BE CONFUSION. THERE MAY BE ANXIETY AND WORRY AND FEAR BUT AS LONG AS GOD IS ON THE THRONE EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALL right in the year that King Uzziah died Isaiah said I saw the Lord high and lifted up his train filled the temple Isaiah was very close to the king. Got one minute. Give me a few more. Isaiah was very close to the king. And he had a relationship with the king that very few had. while the king was alive, no doubt Isaiah enjoyed many benefits of being a friend of the king. he had enjoyed the protection from the armies of Israel and Judah. He was able to depend upon the king for whatever he needed. But when the king died, when the king died, life as Isaiah had known it came to an abrupt ending. So things began to change in his life because of the death of the king. for the first time he had to completely depend upon God. No longer could he depend upon the king. No longer could he depend upon the government. No longer could he depend upon the army. His trust had to be in God. And we read where in this time when the king died, the Bible says that Isaiah approached the throne of the Lord. And the Bible says that as he was approaching this throne, he heard the voice of the Lord. The voice of the Lord said, "Who who can I send? I'm looking for somebody who would be a vessel. I'm looking for somebody who's not afraid to be used, BUT WHO CAN I SEND AND WHO who will go for us. Can I submit to you tonight that this was not the first time that God was crying out from that throne. can I submit to you tonight maybe just maybe this was not the first time that the voice OF THE LORD WAS HEARD CRYING FROM THIS THRONE SAYING I NEED SOMEBODY WHO will go. I need somebody who I can send. I believe that this was a call that went forth and went forth but it was always unanswered. There was no one to hear the voice of the Lord and there was no one to respond and answer the call of God. But just maybe, just
maybe, could it be that Isaiah because he was in trouble? Isaiah because he was in a situation that he had never been in before. Could it be that the trouble had pushed him close enough to the altar that he was able to hear the voice of the Lord in a way that he had never heard it before? Could it be that because he was in a problem, because he had to depend upon the Lord like HE HAD NEVER HAD TO BEFORE, COULD IT be that that is what pushed him to a place where he got deep enough IN THE PRESENCE OF God to where he could look up and see the glory of God in a way that he had never seen it before? The Bible says he looked up and he saw the glory of the Lord. saw that his train filled the temple. After he heard the voice of the Lord, he accepted the call. He said, "Here am I, Lord. Send me. Send me." And because of the problem that led him to hearing the voice of the Lord, the ministry of Isaiah begun. because of this situation that he could not control. It pushed him to a place in God where Isaiah in Isaiah chapter number six, this was where his ministry began. And I want to tell you tonight that anything that you face, and I tell you, the Lord has already conquered it. You saw the Lord high and lifted up, the Bible says that his train filled the temple. I'm sure many of you know what it is tonight, but let me tell you anyway. A train was was a garment, several garments typically sewed together that was coming from the robe that the king wore. The longer stand with me tonight, please. The longer that the robe was, the more mighty that king was. In that time period when a king would win a battle, he would go to the king that he had just defeated. He would cut the train off of his robe and he would sew it onto his own. We know tonight when the Bible says that his train fills the temple. We know tonight that that saying that it's a God who has never lost a battle. I want to tell you what that also means is that there will never be anything that you face that he has at one time not already conquered. I tell you, you may be facing fear tonight. But guess what? That's already swn onto his train. You may be facing sickness. You may be facing depression and anxiety and fear and worry and stress. But can I tell you, if you could look up, if you COULD SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD, AND IF YOU COULD see his train, you would see that attached to that train is every problem you've ever had. YOU SEE THAT ATTACHED TO THAT TRAIN THAT FILLS THE TEMPLE?, IT'S EVERY PROBLEM THAT YOU COULD POSSIBLY EVER HAVE. HEY, YOU'VE GOT TO GET YOUR EYES OFF OF YOUR PROBLEMS. I KNOW IT'S EASIER SAID THAN DONE., BUT SOMETIMES,, WE'VE GOT TO TAKE OUR EYESH OFF OF THE THINGS GOING ON AROUND US AND GET OUR EYES UP., AND I'M TELLING YOU,, BECAUSE OF THE TROUBLE,, YOU'LL SEE THE LORD IN A WAY THAT YOU NEVER SAW HIM BEFORE. Peter began to sink when he took his eyes off of Jesus. He started looking at the waves. He started looking at the wind that was blowing all around him and the effects of the wind. He took his eyes off of Jesus. And when that happened, Peter began to sink. He began to sink. The moral of that story is simply this. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep your eyes on Jesus. I know it's hard to not be focused on the problem. Sometimes we GET SO ZOOMED IN IN THE PROBLEM THAT THAT'S ALL WE CAN SEE. If you could step back, get a look at the bigger picture, see what's really going on. You'll see, man, God's actually working for me. You'll see, as long as I stay faithful to the Lord, there's nothing that can come against me that God does not allow to happen. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you. What was he saying? Don't be surprised when a trial comes against you. Don't be surprised when the enemy wants to fight you. he said be watching and when it arrives, he said rejoice because you are partakers of Christ's sufferings. When the glory shall be revealed, you will be made glad with exceeding joy. Thank God for the struggle because without it, I would have never stumbled upon my strength.
Job said, "Behold, I go forward, but I can't find him. He's not there. I go backward, but I cannot perceive him. On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him. He hideth himself." On the right hand, he's saying, "I'm crying out to God, and I can't hear anything. and I'm seeking for God, but I can't seem TO BE ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING. But he says in verse number 10, he knoweth the way that I take. When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. For he hath performed the thing that is appointed. Everybody say appointed. Appointed. That means it's sent from God. he hath performed the thing that is appointed for me and many things are with him. I want to tell you there are many things that are appointed for this church. you need to thank God sometimes. I know it's hard to do, but thank God that he's entrusted you with the struggle. Thank God that he's entrusted you with the problem because no trial can come to this church that God doesn't allow and God does not send for a specific reason and a specific purpose. Can I tell you, it's the will of God that this church continue to go forward. It's the will of God that this church continue to have revival and stand behind your man of God and lift up the hands of your man of God. we can't let circumstances dictate whether or not we've got a relationship with God. We can't let our trials dictate whether or not we're going to have a prayer life. I just want to tell somebody in closing, but whether or not you realize it, you were built for this. You're in a trial. You're in a storm. But guess what? You were built for this. Everything that you need, you already have. Everything you need to conquer the enemy, you've already got. I wonder if you lift your hands with me all over this house. Come on. Would you lift up your hands right now and begin to thank them? Come on. WOULD YOU BE LIKE JOB AND SAY, "NO, HE SLAY ME. I'm still going to trust him." Come on. I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND WHY. I MAY NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU'RE CHOOSING ME TO GO THROUGH THE TEST, BUT HEY, THOUGH YOU SLAY ME, I'M STILL going to trust you. Come on. GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE. COME ON. I WISH YOU'D THROW YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR AND OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH. I KNOW IT GOES AGAINST OUR NATURE. BUT WOULD YOU BEGIN TO SAY THANK YOU FOR THE TRIAL? THANK YOU FOR THE PROBLEM. THANK YOU FOR THE TRIBULATION. HEY, HE COULD HAVE ENTRUSTED IT TO ANYBODY ELSE. BUT HE ENTRUSTED TO THOSE THAT HE LOVES. Come on. I I believe it's the will of God. WHY DON'T SOMEBODY FIND a place to pray tonight? Come on. IF YOU WANT TO STAY RIGHT THERE IN YOUR PEW, THAT'S FINE. IF YOU WANT TO COME TO THIS FRONT, THAT'S FINE. BUT I JUST WONDER, COME ON, WHY DON'T SOMEBODY SAY, "GOD, WOULD YOU CHANGE MY PERSPECTIVE ON TROUBLE? WOULD YOU CHANGE MY PERSPECTIVE ON TRIBULATION?" HEY, IT'S COME TO REVEAL THE POWER OF GOD TO YOU. COME ON. IF YOU NEVER WENT THROUGH NOTHING, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT GOD COULD DO. IF YOU NEVER WENT THROUGH A STORM, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE FOR JESUS TO STEP OUT AND SAY, "PEACE, BE STILL." IF YOU WERE NEVER SICK, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IT MEANS WHEN JESUS SAYS HE'S THE GREAT PHYSICIAN. COME ON, WHY DON'T SOMEBODY BEGIN TO THANK HIM? COME ON, WHY DON'T SOMEBODY BEGIN TO THANK HIM RIGHT NOW? THANK YOU FOR THE TROUBLE. COME ON. I KNOW IT GOES AGAINST OUR NATURE. I KNOW IT GOES AGAINST OUR UNDERSTANDING. WHY DON'T SOMEBODY SAY, "THANK YOU FOR THE TROUBLE. THANK YOU FOR THE PAIN, GOD. IT'S NOT ALWAYS BLESSING, BUT I KNOW IT'S JUST A SEASON OF TRYING. I KNOW IT'S JUST A SEASON OF TESTING. THE BIBLE SAYS, HE SAID, "WHEN I CAME FORTH, I CAME FORTH AS GOLD. I CAME FORTH PURIFIED. I CAME FORTH BETTER THAN I WAS BEFORE WHEN I WENT INTO THE TRIAL
