Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Past feeling
- He reads two texts. From 1 Timothy 4:1-2: in the latter times some — thank God, not all — shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, "having their conscience seared with a hot iron," which the NLT renders, "Their conscience is dead." From Ephesians 4:19: "Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness" — the NIV says they have lost their sensitivity, and the Amplified says their hearts have become calloused. He has prayed that God will do for the young people in the house tonight what He did for him year after year of coming into this building.
Scriptures: 1 Timothy 4:1-2; Ephesians 4:19
The blessing of pain
- God designed the human body so that pain alerts you when something is wrong; pain can save your life, and there is something worse than pain — losing the ability to feel it at all. He learned that through one of the hardest lessons of his life. In November 2011 he was a 13-year-old boy whose father had taken his two oldest brothers to Belize; his mother took him and Benjamin to Pigeon Forge to make up for it, and on that trip he became sicker than he had ever been. On the Monday his mother took him to the doctor, who handed him a glass of water and said, "Drink up, kid — you've got a long road ahead of you," and diagnosed him with type 1 diabetes. In the ICU they taught him to prick his finger and give himself insulin, and warned him about blindness, kidney failure, and heart failure — but what got his attention was diabetic neuropathy: burning and tingling that becomes numbness and eventually a complete loss of feeling. A man in his church named Brian, called Bucky, a type 2 diabetic of many decades, took him under his wing. Bucky, who worked construction, once stepped through a 5-inch construction nail at a job site and walked around for hours with it through his foot — his boot literally full of blood — and never felt it; it meant six months of surgery and nearly cost him the foot. Bucky's statement has never left him: "Isn't it something that all this happened to me simply because I lost my ability to feel?" But he did not come on this Wednesday night, the first night of PEAK, to preach about diabetic neuropathy. Spiritual neuropathy is far more deadly: what happens when we get to the place Paul described — beyond feeling. It is infecting somebody in every youth group represented in the building; young people have come to PEAK who have not felt what they used to feel in church for a long time.
Mechanics without change
- At a meeting a couple of years ago, another speaker invited everyone who comes to church and doesn't feel everything they wish they felt to come to the front — he expected 5 to 10 percent; 90 to 95 percent of the young people came. It is not God's will to learn to come to church and not feel the anointing. Nobody keeps a consistent prayer life because they always feel like it, but it is vital to be able to feel something in church; God never willed Apostolic young people to be robots, doing the mechanics of worship — learned when to sit, stand, jump, run, say amen and hallelujah — while nothing changes inside. Jesus said there is a people who honor Him with their lips while their heart is far from Him. From the waist down, a service can look like a breakthrough; one look in the eyes tells another story — he remembers visiting a dying woman on hospice as a child and seeing the thousand-yard stare, the lights on but nobody home, and he is bothered when he sees the same questions, doubt, depression, anxiety, and fear in the eyes of shouting young people. The devil is not intimidated by professional footwork or laps around the aisles so long as the person goes home to the same addiction, bondage, and mask; his own praise once had a placebo effect — it felt good in the moment and changed nothing. What makes praise powerful is leaving changed, walking in purity and righteousness; his private purity is what gives him power when he praises. The lie is that it is normal to dance in the altar and be spiritually backslid by the next meeting — it happens when we learn to respond to a beat without responding to God, to get a touch and never get deliverance, to run the aisles but never run to an altar.
A seared conscience
- He tells of a girl in his home youth group who confessed that when she first did things she knew were wrong — fooling around with her boyfriend, looking at things, going places — a voice of conviction kept her awake at night, reminding her she would give an account and stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Then, smiling, she said it was wonderful now: she had ignored the voice so long that she could do whatever she wanted and sleep like it never happened. She did not know it, but she was describing being beyond feeling — a conscience seared with a hot iron. Samson shook himself as at other times and did not know the Lord had departed from him. God said of Ephraim, joined to his idols, "Let him alone" — and his prayer on the first night of PEAK is, "God, don't ever let me alone." The worst thing that can happen is for God to stop convicting you; if you still hear the voice of conviction, thank God it is still there.
Scriptures: Hosea 4:17
Numb from the feed
- His generation has become numb to violence, perversion, and sensuality, so it is no surprise church no longer excites them: the average teenager spends six to nine hours a day on a phone, four to six of them on reels and shorts — over a thousand videos in an hour or two, hundreds of voices and ideologies opposite to the Bible, hundreds of suggestive themes. The world calls it doom scrolling; it is called a feed because the algorithm knows how to feed the flesh — lust, pride, every worldly desire. People are proud they own no television and never go to the movie theater, but they will watch partially nude reels, filthy comedians, and influencers who curse every other word, hour after hour. It does not matter what size screen it is on: if it feeds the flesh, he does not want it. His generation must get beyond waiting for the pastor to preach against every new platform and learn the principle — "I will set no wicked thing before my eyes" — so that a phone, YouTube, or Instagram can be recognized as a wicked thing when it numbs sensitivity. Maybe the reason there is not as much teaching as there used to be is that we are not as interested as we used to be.
Do you feel that?
- A conscience cauterized like flesh under a branding iron eventually stops responding: press the iron the first time and a man will run, jump, and holler, but after enough damage and death in that part of the body, what used to make him respond no longer gets so much as an amen. There is no message we ought to respond to quicker than the one that saved us — Peter's words, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." When response fades, it usually is not that the preaching lost its power; it is that we lost our sensitivity. Critics call Apostolic worship emotionalism, and he answers: you better believe he gets emotional, thinking of what he deserved and of a God who went to Calvary in spite of his sin. He refuses to sit numb on any preacher preaching the truth — if it is Deuteronomy 6:4 in a storefront with three people, he will respond the same as on Friday night at PEAK. There had to be a day when he stopped pointing the finger at everybody else — at other pastors, other last names, other churches' choirs and programs — and admitted maybe he was the problem.
- He tells of a revival where a young man who had overdosed repeatedly — whose mother, told by the doctor to pick out a casket on her way home, had done it — came in on a Sunday morning and received the Holy Ghost. Two months later, in a flat Wednesday service, he saw the same man on the front row in a suit and tie, sitting silent, and thought: if anybody ought to be praising God, it is you. The Holy Ghost rebuked him on the spot: yes, he ought to praise because he was delivered from drugs and alcohol — but how much more should Clark Copeland praise, who was kept from them? Those who have been kept have the greatest reason to respond.
Scriptures: Acts 2:38
The feeling follows the doing
- A close friend, now backslid, told him over coffee, "I just don't feel what I used to feel." His questions were simple: "Are you praying?" "Not really." "Are you reading your Bible?" "Been a while." How do you expect to feel what you want to feel when you are not doing the things that bring it? Marriage counselors tell couples who have fallen out of love not to wait for the feeling to return but to keep doing the things they did when they were in love — and after a season of doing the right thing without the feeling, the feeling follows. One of the hardest seasons of his own life was when he could not feel God, and he is thankful he kept coming to church and dug out a prayer life anyway; the test is whether you can be faithful when you cannot feel Him. He closes with Bucky, who once grabbed his bare foot as he sat on the counter, squeezing and twisting, and asked, "Clark, do you feel that?" — then warned him: do the right thing, because if you lose your feeling, no amount of pulling or prodding can get a response out of you. His question on this first night of PEAK is the same: Do you feel that tonight? If not, it is not that God is not moving or the Holy Ghost is not here — it is that we have allowed ourselves to become calloused, cold, and hard. But God promised, "A new heart also will I give you... I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh" — and the calluses and numbness are getting ready to fall off. The altar call presses everyone to lift their voice and pray in the Holy Ghost even if they cannot feel Him.

more than you know. The book of 1 Timothy chapter number 4 1 Timothy chapter number 4 and read two verses here. And then we'll go to the book of Ephesians chapter number 4. Ephesians 1 Timothy chapter number 4 and verse number 1 Now the spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith. Thank God it's not all. A lot of people want to act like it's all. I see a good number that ain't. But some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils speaking lies and hypocrisy having their conscience. Would you say their conscience? Having their conscience seared with a hot iron. The NLT said it simply like this. Their conscience is dead. Their conscience is dead. Then I'll turn your attention to one more verse Ephesians chapter number 4 and verse number 19. Ephesians chapter number 4 and verse number 19. Who being past feeling. Would you say past feeling? Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness. The NIV said it like this. They have lost their sensitivity. And the amplified simply said it like this. Their hearts have become calloused. Their hearts have become callous. I have sought the Lord as good as I know how for the service tonight. And I am praying that the Lord will do for me for some young people in this house what he did for me year after year after year of coming in this building. And I believe if you will help me tonight, that's going to happen. I want to ask all over this house one more time, if it's appropriate, would you join hands, put your arm around your neighbor's shoulder, or whatever is appropriate. And I'm asking you right now that you would truly help me seek the Lord. Would you do that for me right now? Come on, what about those of you in the risers? Would you help me? Come on, I wish I had a prayer warrior that would lift up your voice. Come on, that's it. IT'S STARTING TO FEEL BETTER ALREADY. COME ON. COME ON, YOUNG PEOPLE, LIFT UP YOUR HANDS. IF YOU'VE COME LOOKING FOR HELP TONIGHT, I'M TELLING YOU GOD'S GOING TO HELP SOMEBODY IN THIS HOUSE. IF YOU'VE COME NEEDING AN ANSWER, GOD'S GOING TO GIVE SOMEBODY AN ANSWER IN THIS HOUSE. NOW, ONE MORE TIME, WOULD YOU GIVE HIM THE loudest hand clap of praise you've given him so far? And while you're clapping, why don't you open up your mouth and say, "SPEAK TO ME, GOD." HALLELUJAH. HALLELUJAH. May be seated. Tonight, thank you for helping me pray. Want to begin tonight by talking about the blessing of pain. God designed the human body to alert you to where you will know when something is wrong. Every ache, every sharp pain is your body screaming out for you to pay attention to something. Pain lets you know when something is wrong. Pain can even save your life. Something a lot worse have heard a lot of people complain about pain. But there is something worse than pain and that is losing your ability to feel it at all. Didn't always understand that. Fact, was something that I learned through one of the hardest lessons of my life. Was November of 2011. I was a 13-year-old boy. And my father had taken my two oldest brothers on a trip to Belize
and Benjamin and I felt left out. So, to make it up to us, my mom took us somewhere that was almost as good as the Caribbean and that was Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. And on that trip I started getting more sick than I had ever been in my life. I was throwing up. I was sleeping more than I had ever slept. I felt like I had about 10 cases of the flu at the same time. We went home and got home on a Saturday and was not able to go to church on that following Sunday. My mother came in on Monday morning, just had a bad feeling and she woke me up out of a deep sleep and she said, "Clark, I'm I'm taking you to the doctor. Going to go see what is going on. I've been reading about some of your symptoms and I'm worried." I'll never forget when I was sitting there in that doctor's office after they had done a couple of tests and taken some blood when my doctor came in and she had a glass of water in her hand. She handed it to me and she said, "Drink up, kid. She said you've got a long road ahead of you." She said, "I'm diagnosing you with type 1 diabetes." Now, at the time I I really had never even heard of that, but I remember my mother began to cry. I remember the worry that was in my father's voice. And and they rushed me to the hospital and I soon realized that my life would never be the same again. Went straight to ICU and they began to teach me how to prick my finger, how to give myself insulin shots and once my sugar finally came down, they started several days of very intensive training teaching me on how to manage and live with this disease that except for a miracle, I will have the rest of my life. I remember them talking about what would happen if I did not learn how to manage this disease. Started talking about blindness, started talking about kidney failure, started talking about heart failure. All of these scared me, but at that time something that got my attention so much was something that was called diabetic neuropathy. They explained that it started as burning and tingling, typically in the fingertips or the toes and that as time went on, it would turn into numbness, and eventually a complete loss of feeling in that particular part of the body. Now, at 13 years old, I I made up my mind, whatever I've got to do, whatever whatever means I have to take, I do not want to end up that way. I was released from the hospital, and we have a man in our church, his name is Brian, but his nickname is Bucky. That's what everybody back home calls him. And and Bucky had been type 2 diabetic for many decades, and he took me under his wing and started to help me learn different things. he he talked about how his eyes had given him trouble. Bucky lived by the motto, "Do as I say, not as I do." We'd go out to eat and and and he'd get a strawberry lemonade with about 60 g of sugar, tell me get a diet Coke. that was the way that he did it, but he had a lot of complications, had a lot of issues. Kidneys gave him trouble, his heart gave him trouble. But the number one thing that he talked to me a countless amount of times was his struggle with neuropathy. One day he came over to the house, and he had a boot on, and he come hobbling over there and plop down in a chair, started unstrapping his boot, and and the next thing I knew, he was taking his sock off, and I'll never forget seeing his foot as it was swollen, as it his as it had changed colors, as toes had turned black and blue. He started telling me a story. Bucky had been in construction most of his life, and one particular day, he was out working and walking around the job site doing various things and decided to go and take his lunch break and as he did, he sat back and threw his feet up on the table and when he did, he started feeling something wet running down his leg. Didn't know what it was, but he lifted up his pant leg and he seen that it was red and he realized that it was blood.
Called one of his buddies over to look and they were started trying to figure out what was going on cuz Bucky had had tried to pull his foot out to see if he had cut himself, to see if there was a wound. When he tried to pull the heel out of his boot, he found he found that his foot was stuck inside of his boot. Buddy came over and started looking and that's when he told him, "My God, Bucky, you stepped through a 5-in construction nail." They rushed him to the hospital. By the time they were finally able to get that nail out of his foot, he said that his boot was literally full of blood. He had walked around for hours and hours with a nail through his foot and did not have a clue. It got infected. It was 6 months of surgery. They thought that he was going to have to have his foot amputated. And and we were talking about it later at a different time and he said something that I have never forgotten. This was the statement that he made. He said, "ISN'T IT SOMETHING THAT ALL THIS HAPPENED to me simply because I lost my ability to feel." Everything that I went through could have been avoided if only I would not have lost my sensitivity. Now that that scared me then and it scares me now thinking about it, but I I I'll tell you that I did not come to preach to you on this Wednesday night on the first night of peak about diabetic neuropathy. I didn't come to you tonight to preach about what happens when you don't manage this disease. I want to talk to you for just A LITTLE WHILE ABOUT A DISEASE that is far MORE DEADLY THAN DIABETIC NEUROPATHY. I'm telling you this disease is even more devastating. This disease IS EVEN MORE TRAGIC. THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS DISEASE ARE EVEN MORE SERIOUS. And when this disease is left UNCHECKED IN A BODY, IT BEGINS TO STRIP THE VERY JOY AND LIFE AND HOPE OUT OF THE INDIVIDUAL THAT IT FINDS ITSELF IN. I'VE COME TO PREACH TO YOU TONIGHT ABOUT SPIRITUAL NEUROPATHY. I'VE COME TO PREACH TO YOU FOR JUST A LITTLE WHILE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GET TO THE PLACE THAT PAUL WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN HE SAID THEY ARE BEYOND FEELING. I WANT TO I WANT TO TALK TO YOU TONIGHT WHAT I felt in prayer, WHAT I FELT IN THE HOLY GHOST, A PROBLEM THAT WHETHER WE WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT, IT IS INFECTING AND IT IS AFFECTING SOMEBODY IN EVERY YOUTH GROUP THAT IS REPRESENTED IN THIS BUILDING TONIGHT. WE CAN IGNORE IT IF WE WANT, BUT I'M TELLING YOU THERE ARE YOUNG PEOPLE IN THIS HOUSE THAT HAVE COME TO PEAK AND IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE THEY COME TO CHURCH AND THEY FELT WHAT THEY WANTED TO FEEL. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE THEY COME TO CHURCH AND DID NOT FEEL LIKE THERE WAS CALLUSES ON THEIR HEART. I'VE COME TO PREACH TO SOMEBODY. I BELIEVE BEFORE IT'S OVER, SOMETHING'S GOING TO CHANGE. COME ON, GO AHEAD AND LIFT UP YOUR hands with me in this house. Hallelujah. Be seated tonight. I was preaching meeting couple years back and during that meeting one of the speakers that was there started preaching and he said if you're here tonight and you are dealing with numbness where when you come to church you just don't feel everything that you wish you felt come to church and and what you want to feel. I know we got distraction. That's okay tonight. Hey, you you come to church and you don't feel everything that you want to feel. Here's what he said. I want you to step out of where you're at and make your way to this front. I I'll be I'll be honest with you tonight. I I expected maybe 5 to 10% of that crowd to come out of that front. Come to the front and say I'll be honest when I come to church I just don't feel everything that I wish I felt. But I I'M TELLING YOU I WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED WHEN 90 TO 95% of those young people stepped out of their pew, come to the front and lifted up their hands and said when I come to church I just don't feel everything that I want TO FEEL. SOMEHOW SOMEHOW WHEN I'M IN GOD'S HOUSE THE THING THAT I USED TO
FEEL THE EASE THROUGH WHICH I USED TO CRY AND FEEL THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY GHOST. IT IS NO LONGER THERE. I'VE COME TO TALK TO SOMEBODY TONIGHT. IT IS NOT GOD'S WILL THAT YOU LEARN HOW TO COME TO CHURCH AND NOT FEEL THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY GHOST. IT'S NOT GOD'S WILL THAT YOU LEARN TO COME TO CHURCH Come on, lift up your hands with me one more time in this house. Come on, get your hands in the air. Everybody, would you close your eyes and help me right now? Come on, I wish everybody would close your eyes. WOULD YOU HELP ME PRAY in this house? COME ON, WHY DON'T YOU JOIN UP WITH SOMEBODY THAT YOU'RE STANDING NEXT TO IN THIS HOUSE? COME ON, LET'S TAKE 30 MORE SECONDS OF GETTING THE HOLY GHOST RIGHT NOW. PRAISE GOD. Understand tonight that we don't do everything based off of how we feel. Nobody in this house that has a consistent prayer life has one because every day you woke up and just felt like doing it. No Nobody in this house that worships every time they come to church does it because they just always feel like worshiping. But, I'm telling you it is vital. It is necessary. When you come to church, it is God's will that you're able to feel something. Whether Whether you Whether you believe Believe or not, it was never God's will for apostolic young people to come to church and be robots. It it It was never God's will for us to come to church and to simply learn how to go through the mechanics of a worship, the mechanics of praise. God has never wanted some planned program response out of me and you. It was never God's will for us to learn how to come to church AND WE JUMP AROUND AND WE DO OUR LITTLE TWO-STEP AND WE GO HOME AND NOTHING IS DIFFERENT AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN US. I'M TELLING YOU IT WAS NEVER GOD'S WILL FOR YOU TO DO THIS THING MECHANICALLY. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO SIT AND WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO STAND. WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO JUMP, WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO RUN. WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO SAY AMEN. WE'VE LEARNED WHEN TO SAY HALLELUJAH. COME ON, BUT I'M TELLING YOU JESUS SAID THERE IS A PEOPLE THEY HONOR ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. IT WASN'T GOD'S WILL FOR ME TO COME IN HERE AND JUST DO SOMETHING WITHOUT HAVING IT CHANGE ME. HALLELUJAH. How many how many times and I just want to talk to some young people in this house today. How many times have we come to church and we shouted and we danced and we run and and we did everything that apostolics do, but we walked out the door and in your heart of hearts you knew nothing was different inside of you. You knew you WERE JUST AS BOUND AS WHEN YOU WALKED IN THE DOOR. YOU YOU MAY HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF WORSHIP, BUT SOMEHOW IT WAS NEVER HITTING YOU RIGHT HERE. SOMEHOW IT NEVER GOT DEEPER THAN JUST SOMETHING WE WERE DOING ON THE OUTSIDE. I'M I'M I'M I'M watching it I'm watching it in in in in different meetings. I'm watching it in different places that I've been and that is this when the MUSIC GETS TO GOING. IF YOU WERE JUST TO LOOK at everybody's feet, you would think that everybody in the house was getting a breakthrough. If if you were just to look AT THE WAY THAT EVERYBODY WAS DANCING, IF YOU WERE TO LOOK FROM THE WAIST DOWN, YOU WOULD THINK THAT EVERYBODY WAS GETTING A BREAKTHROUGH, BUT I'M TELLING YOU ONE LOOK IN THEIR EYES, I'LL I'll I'll never forget I'll never forget as just a child time that I went
with my with my dad to visit an elderly lady that was on hospice. AND WHEN WE GOT THERE TO PRAY with her, she was just A COUPLE OF HOURS FROM DEATH. AND I'LL NEVER FORGET AS A CHILD LOOKING INTO HER EYES. I'LL NEVER FORGET SHE WAS STILL ALIVE, BUT THE LIGHTS THE LIGHTS WERE ON, BUT NOBODY WAS HOME. YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS CALLED IT'S CALLED THE THOUSAND YARD STARE. AND I'M TELLING YOU I'M BOTHERED WHEN I WATCH YOUNG PEOPLE THAT THEY'RE JUMPING AROUND AND THEY'RE SHOUTING, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE QUESTIONS IN THEIR EYES. YOU CAN SEE THE DOUBT IN THEIR EYES. YOU CAN SEE THE DEPRESSION AND THE ANXIETY AND THE FEAR IN THEIR EYES. I'VE COME TO PREACH TO SOMEBODY TONIGHT. IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO JUMP AROUND AND NOT HAVE ANYTHING CHANGE. THERE'S GOT TO BE SOMETHING DEEPER THAT HAPPENS IN YOU TONIGHT TO WHERE WHEN YOU WALK OUT THE DOOR, YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW I HAVE BEEN CHANGED. COME ON, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED, THROW YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR. I'M FEELING THE ANOINTING RIGHT NOW. COME ON, I WISH YOU'D THROW YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR. COME ON, IT'S NOT GOD'S WILL FOR YOU TO GO HOME LIKE YOU CAME. WHAT A WHAT A revelation when I finally understood it. The devil is not intimidated by my professional footwork when I come to church as long as I'm dancing right over my sin. THE THE DEVIL THE DEVIL WAS NEVER INTIMIDATED BY HOW MANY LAPS I COULD RUN AROUND THE AISLES. AND I'M NOT PREACHING AGAINST IT. I I THINK YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THAT. BUT HE DIDN'T CARE HOW MUCH OF THAT I DID AS LONG AS I WENT HOME TO THE SAME ADDICTION, TO THE SAME BONDAGE, TO THE SAME MASK. SEE, I remember I remember a time as a as a young man when my praise and my worship was almost starting to have a placebo effect on me. IT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT WHILE I FELT GOOD, WHILE I WAS DOING IT, BOY, IT FELT GOOD. WHILE I WAS IN THE MOMENT OF JUMPING AND BOY, IT FELT GOOD. BUT IT WASN'T ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING TO ME. IT WASN'T ACTUALLY CHANGING ANYTHING IN ME. I'M PREACHING TO YOU, THANK GOD FOR THE SHOUT. WE NEED RUNNING, WE NEED DANCING. I'M ALL ABOUT IT. BUT THANK GOD WHEN I GOT THE REVELATION, WHAT MAKES MY PRAISE POWERFUL, IT'S WHEN I LEAVE CHANGED. WHAT MAKES MY DANCE POWERFUL? IT'S WHEN I GO HOME AND I WALK IN PURITY AND I WALK IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND I WALK IN CLEANNESS. COME ON. MY PRIVATE PURITY IS WHAT GIVES ME POWER WHEN I PRAISE. Can I Can I preach to my generation and tell you that we have believed a lie if we think it's normal to be up dancing and running in the altar, but we're spiritually backslid by THE NEXT MEETING. WE HAVE BELIEVED A LIE IF WE THINK IT'S NORMAL TO COME TO CHURCH AND DANCE AROUND, BUT BE HOOKING UP BEFORE THE NIGHT IS EVEN OVER. I'LL TELL YOU HOW IT HAPPENS. IT'S WHEN WE LEARN TO RESPOND TO A BEAT WITHOUT RESPONDING TO GOD. IT'S WHEN WE LEARN HOW TO GET A TOUCH AND NEVER GET DELIVERANCE. IT'S WHEN WE LEARN HOW TO RUN THE AISLES, BUT NEVER RUN TO AN ALTAR. I'M TELLING SOMEBODY IN THIS HOUSE. I BELIEVE ON THIS FIRST NIGHT OF PEAK SOMETHING IS GOING TO CHANGE. WHY DON'T YOU HELP ME love them in this house? Come on. Why don't you help me love them right now? COME ON. WOULD YOU HELP ME LOVE THEM IN THIS HOUSE? COME ON. I WISH THERE WAS A ROAR IN THIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW. COME ON. WHAT ABOUT SOME OF YOU YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE IN THE RISERS RIGHT NOW, WHY DON'T YOU LIFT UP YOUR VOICE?
I'LL NEVER I'll never forget hearing the story as a eight or nine year old boy girl that was in our youth group back home and here's what she said. She said, "You know, when I used to do things I shouldn't do I used to fool around with my boyfriend and look at stuff and go places that I knew I shouldn't go. She said it it was a terrible thing. She said because I I would go to bed at night and there would be a voice of conviction that would speak to me and say don't you know that was wrong? Don't don't you know don't you know you're going to give an account of yourself? Don't you know one day you're going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ? SHE SAID IT WAS TERRIBLE. COULD NOT GET ANY SLEEP AT NIGHT. She was started smiling and she told her friend, she said, "But it's wonderful. She said I just ignored it for so long." She She said, "I I've been doing it so long." She said, "But now I can do whatever I want TO DO. I CAN GO WHERE I WANT TO GO. I CAN DO WHATEVER THING I WANT to do AND I LAY DOWN AND I GO RIGHT TO SLEEP LIKE IT NEVER EVEN HAPPENED." I'M TELLING YOU SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS SAYING, BUT WHAT SHE WAS SAYING WAS THAT SHE WAS BEYOND FEELING. SHE WAS THE ONE THAT PAUL WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN HE SAID THEIR CONSCIENCE HAS BEEN SEARED WITH A HOT IRON. THE VERY THING that used to convict her no longer convicted her anymore. The very thing that used to trouble her no longer troubled her anymore. Her conscience did not have a voice in her life anymore. It was similar to the time THAT SAMSON WENT OUT AND SHOOK HIMSELF AS AT OTHER TIMES, BUT HE WIST NOT THAT THE LORD HAD DEPARTED FROM HIM. GOD HAD LEFT HIM, BUT HE WAS SO NUMB, HE HAD SO MUCH SPIRITUAL NEUROPATHY THAT HE DID NOT EVEN REALIZE THE SHAPE THAT HE WAS IN. I WANT TO PREACH TO YOU WHAT A TERRIBLE DAY WHEN GOD LETS ME BE COMFORTABLE IN MY SIN. HE SAID IN the book of Hosea, Ephraim has joined himself to idols. Let him alone. Don't convict him. Don't bother him anymore. Don't let him feel conviction anymore. They've made up their mind, just let them do what they want to do. My prayer tonight on this first night of peak is God, DON'T EVER LET ME ALONE. DON'T EVER LEAVE ME TO MYSELF. DON'T EVER MAKE IT TO WHERE I CAN DO WHAT I WANT TO DO AND LIVE HOW I WANT TO LIVE AND IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME ANYMORE. I'M TELLING YOU, THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN IS FOR GOD TO STOP CONVICTING YOU. THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN IS FOR THE VOICE OF CONVICTION TO BE MUTED AND SHUT DOWN IN YOUR LIFE. I WANT TO PREACH TO YOU, IF YOU HEAR THAT VOICE OF CONVICTION, YOU BETTER THANK GOD THAT IT'S STILL THERE. THANK GOD THAT HE'S STILL REACHING AND HE'S STILL CALLING. HALLELUJAH. Come on, let's fill up to the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I come to
I come to try and help and talk to my generation tonight. We have become so absolutely numb to things like violence and perversion and sensuality to the point that why are we surprised when we come to church and it doesn't excite us the way that it used to? Why? Why? Why is it a surprise to us that we come to peak and we're not as excited about it as we used TO BE. OF COURSE, of course, we're not excited to come to church when we've spent all week long feeding our flesh and filling it with whatever desire that even pops through our mind. Of course, OF COURSE, IT'S HARD to focus on preaching and teaching. The average American spends The average American teenager spends somewhere between 6 to 9 hours a day on their phone. Somewhere between 4 to 6 hours of that is spent on things like Instagram reels, Facebook reels, TikTok, YouTube shorts. Within just an hour, a couple of hours, which is far less than many young people in this house today are watching, a young person can easily exceed over a thousand videos watched. Think about that. In that many videos, the hundreds of voices, the hundreds of opinions, the hundreds of of of of ideologies that are opposite to the Bible and the word of God, HUNDREDS OF SUGGESTIVE THEMES. IN FACT, EVEN THE WORLD HAS BEEN SMART ENOUGH TO LABEL WHAT YOU AND I SOMETIMES DO AS DOOM SCROLLING. It's called a social media feed. You know why? Because that algorithm knows how to feed you exactly what you're looking for. It knows how to feed your flesh. It knows how to feed lust. It knows how to feed pride. It knows how to FEED EVERY WORLDLY DESIRE THAT IS INSIDE OF YOU. I'M TELLING YOU WHAT IT'S DOING. IT'S CAUSING US TO COME TO CHURCH AND LOSE OUR SENSITIVITY TO THE THINGS OF GOD. But people that are proud that they don't own a television. They don't go to the movie theater. But they'll look at any partially nude reel. Any filthy comedian. Any influencer that every other word they say is a cuss word. And they're proud that they don't go to the movie theater, but they'll watch hour after hour after hour of cussing and violence and and murder and the filth of this world. I'M TELLING YOU THERE'S SOME THINGS YOU AND I HAVE SEEN BECAUSE OF SOCIAL MEDIA, WE SHOULD HAVE LIVED OUR WHOLE LIVES AND NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO IT, NEVER SEEN IT, OUR EYES NEVER HAVE GLIMPSED IT. COME ON, I'M TELLING YOU WE'VE GOT TO GET THIS DEEPER IN US TONIGHT. YOU BETTER GET THE REVELATION. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SIZE SCREEN IT'S ON. IF IT FEEDS MY PRIDE, IF IT FEEDS LUST, IF IT FEEDS THE FILTH OF THIS WORLD, I DON'T WANT IT. I WANT TO I want to I want TO TALK TO MY GENERATION TONIGHT AND TELL YOU WE'VE GOT TO GET BEYOND WAITING ON OUR PASTOR TO STAND BEHIND THE PULPIT AND PREACH AGAINST EVERY NEW PLATFORM, EVERY NEW SOCIAL MEDIA, EVERY NEW THING THAT'S COMING OUT AND GET IT IN YOUR HEART THAT IF IT FEEDS THE FLESH, IF IT MAKES ME NUMB, IF IT NUMBS MY SENSITIVITY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PREACH IT TO ME. I'VE GOT ENOUGH DISCERNMENT. I DON'T WANT WHAT'S HURTING ME. What a tragic day when we've got to wait for our pastor to
address every little thing. You know what I wish my generation would do? I wish we'd get beyond the rule and figure out the principle of why we don't do what we do. And if we got the principle of I will set no wicked thing before my eyes, YOU WOULD REALIZE MY PHONE CAN BE A WICKED THING. YouTube can BE A WICKED THING. INSTAGRAM CAN BE A WICKED THING. COME ON AND I'VE GOT TO CARE ENOUGH ABOUT MY SOUL. I'VE GOT TO CARE ENOUGH ABOUT MY SPIRIT AND MY RESPONSE TO THE WORD OF GOD. HEY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PREACH IT TO ME. COME ON. I BELIEVE IT. I BELIEVE THIS MESSAGE. I LOVE THIS MESSAGE. HALLELUJAH. I don't want I don't want preaching Hallelujah. to ever do become dull and boring to me. Hallelujah. I said I don't want preaching to become boring to me. I don't I DON'T WANT MY PASTOR TO HAVE TO HAVE TO TRY NEW AVENUES THAT HE'S NEVER TRIED BEFORE BECAUSE HE'S LOSING THE ATTENTION OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE. I'm telling you I've heard people I've heard people complain and say WELL WELL WE'RE NOT HEARING ENOUGH TEACHING. WELL WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DAYS OF TEACHING? CAN I JUST BE HONEST WITH YOU? CAN I JUST BE FRANK WITH YOU? MAYBE THE REASON WE'RE NOT HEARING AS MUCH TEACHING AS WE USED TO HEAR IS BECAUSE WE'RE NOT AS INTERESTED AS WE USED TO BE. COME ON. MAYBE NEXT TIME YOUR PASTOR WANTS TO DO A BIBLE STUDY. MAYBE WE DON'T SIT BACK AND PLAY ON OUR MAYBE WE SIT UP AND WE SAY, "GOD, SPEAK TO ME TONIGHT. SPEAK TO SPEAK TO ME THROUGH YOUR WORD. SPEAK TO ME THROUGH THE TEACHING OF THE WORD." I finally realized that there is not a person I'm talking about and however many billion people are alive in the world today, there is not a person that's walking the earth today that has more to be grateful for. He said He said there's going to be those that are going to have their conscience seared, cauterized with a hot iron. Could Could you imagine I took a red hot branding iron and I lined it up right here on Brother Posey's arm and I pressed it. What do y'all What do y'all think Brother Posey do? Other than I Y'all can talk back to me, I promise. Other than Other than slap me, he probably run and jump and rub it and holler and there would be a big response out of Brother Posey. Now Now Now let's say I come back 5 days later and I and I lined it all up perfectly and I pressed it again. What y'all think he'd do? Run, jump, holler, shout. And if I come back a few days later and did it, he'd probably run, jump, holler, shout, RESPOND. NOW, I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. I don't know how many times I'm doing it over and over again that IT WOULD TAKE BEFORE IT HAPPENED, BUT THERE WOULD BE A DAY WHEN I WOULD PUT IT TO HIS arm and there would be so much destruction that there would be there would be so much damage and death to that part of the body that what used to make him respond and what used to make HIM MOVE NO LONGER SO MUCH AS GETS AN AMEN OR A HALLELUJAH OUT OF IT. I WANT TO PREACH TO MY GENERATION AND TELL YOU THERE IS NOT A MESSAGE YOU OUGHT TO RESPOND TO QUICKER THAN THE MESSAGE THAT SAVED YOU FROM THAT. YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS? THEN PETER SAID UNTO THEM, "REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST." THERE AIN'T A MESSAGE THAT OUGHT TO MAKE YOU MOVE. THERE AIN'T A THERE AIN'T A MESSAGE THAT OUGHT TO MAKE YOU RESPOND. Sometimes I found it wasn't that the preaching lost its power. It was that I lost my sensitivity.
Let's love him again. Kia Rambo has Shakira. I'm hurrying. Come on, let's love him for just another moment. Halaboshataya. Come on, I I want to I want to tell you it really shouldn't take much for you to respond when you come to church. It really shouldn't take much for you to lift up your hands. IT REALLY SHOULDN'T TAKE MUCH FOR YOU TO OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH. YOU KNOW WHAT THE OLD SONGWRITER SAID? WHEN I THINK OF THE GOODNESS OF JESUS AND ALL THAT HE'S DONE FOR ME, THAT'S ALL IT TAKES FOR ME TO THROW MY HANDS IN THE AIR. COME ON, YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE I DON'T DESERVE HIS MERCY. I DON'T DESERVE IT. YOU KNOW WHAT HE WAS UNTO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS REQUIRED. ISN'T IT ISN'T IT crazy that there's young people right here that are letting a crazy world intimidate them and convince them to do less when they come to church? And so some of you have heard it, some of you have seen the reels, some of you have read it. You know what they want to call? I seen it this week. I seen them post a video of of of of young people that were dancing and running and shouting. And you know what they call what we're doing? They call it emotionalism. Now now let me let me just go ahead and say this for the critics that are out there today. You better believe when I think about where God You BETTER YOU BETTER BELIEVE WHEN I THINK ABOUT WHAT I KNOW THAT I DESERVE AND WHERE I KNOW I OUGHT TO BE AND WHERE I KNOW I SHOULD BE RIGHT NOW, YOU BETTER BELIEVE I GET EMOTIONAL. YOU BETTER BELIEVE I GET EMOTIONAL WHEN I THINK ABOUT A GOD WHO WENT TO CALVARY FOR ME IN SPITE OF MY SIN, IN SPITE OF MY MISTAKES. COME ON, I'M TELLING YOU THERE OUGHT TO BE SOMEBODY THAT SAID I GET EMOTIONAL EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT HOW HE SAVED ME. EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT HOW HE BROUGHT ME OUT. I FEEL so I feel so blessed and privileged to get to be standing before you today because I'm standing before a group of people that is the most blessed group of people on the face of the earth. Well, I thought you'd believe that a little more than you do. See, I've I've I've made up my mind. Maybe it's because I'm I'm preaching NOW, BUT I BUT I MADE UP MY MIND. I I'M NOT I'M NOT EVER GOING TO SIT ON MY PASTOR WHEN HE'S PREACHING. In fact, LET ME TAKE IT FURTHER. I'M NOT GOING TO SIT ON ANY PREACHER AS LONG AS THEY'RE PREACHING THE TRUTH. YOU BETTER BELIEVE I'M GOING TO SAY IT. WELL, THEY'RE THEY'RE NOT MY FAVORITE PREACHER. WELL, THEY'RE NOT MY I'M TELLING YOU IF THEY'RE PREACHING THE BIBLE, IF THEY'RE PREACHING THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD, IT'S GOING TO HIT ME RIGHT HERE. I'M NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO SIT THERE AND BE NUMB AND CALLOUS AND THIS IS WHAT SAVED ME. I SAID THIS WORD IS WHAT SAVED ME. I REFUSE. I refuse to let my ability to respond to preaching become seared. How is it How is it that we can sit through something that used to make us weep and cry and worship and run and now we just don't feel what we used to feel. It just don't hit us the way Can I Can I tell you the preaching has not lost its power?
You know there finally had to be a day in in Clark Copeland's life when I stopped pointing the finger at everybody else for my lack of progress in God and my lack of sensitivity and my lack and growth. See there there there's people here today you thought well well if if if that was my pastor maybe I'd have more opportunities than I do. Well if if if I had that last name You know what happened? There's got to be a day that you point at yourself and say everybody else ain't the problem maybe I'm the problem. Maybe Maybe I I know I know YOU LOOK AT OTHER CHOIRS AND YOU LOOK AT OTHER churches and you look AT WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND YOU LOOK AT THEIR PROGRAMS AND THEN YOU GO TO CHURCH AND SIT ON YOUR PASTOR, AND SIT ON YOUR HEY, I'M TELLING YOU, I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A STOREFRONT BUILDING WITH THREE PEOPLE, IF HE'S PREACHING DEUTERONOMY 6 AND 4, I'M GOING TO RESPOND JUST LIKE I DO ON FRIDAY NIGHT AT PEAK. IF THEY'RE PREACHING THE WORD, I WISH SOMEBODY RIGHT NOW WOULD LIFT UP YOUR VOICE. COME ON. I WISH YOU LIFT I CAN STILL FEEL SOMETHING. I CAN STILL FEEL IT MOVING. I CAN STILL FEEL IT SHAKING. DO YOU FEEL THAT? I'M HURRYING. I was in a revival I was in a revival a couple years back, and on one of the Sunday mornings, a man came in, received the gift of the Holy Ghost. And his mother would stand up in the weeks following in that revival, and she would say, "Here's what y'all don't know. When he come in and got the Holy Ghost, that very week before, he was in the hospital. Fact, when we got the call, the doctor called us, and when we got there, they told us he probably was not going to make it. He had overdosed. This was not the first time that he had overdosed. It had happened several times. And they were able to bring him back. And and the doctor went to that mother, and here's what he said. He said, "When you go home, here's what I want you to do. On your way home, go by the funeral home, and pick out a casket, cuz it's not going to be long, and we're going to be burying your son." Should she have done it? Probably not. She went on her way home, stopped by the funeral home, and picked out a casket for her son. Lost all hope that anything would change. He come in that Sunday and God filled him with the gift of the Holy Ghost. We was A little bit of time went by, a month or two in that revival and and and I know I know there's some evangelists of my friend Pastor Carroll's in the house. Anybody that knows Brother Carroll will know if you ask him about any service he's ever been in in his life, it's going to be unbelievable, off the chain. Never had a bad service. Well, can I Can I be honest with you tonight as a young evangelist? I've had some bad services that I've preached. Can I have a preacher say amen? And and we was in we was in one of these midweek Wednesday night services. And you know, I was kind of hoping we'd be up here. Kind of like where I wish we was tonight and we was a little bit more like down here. Kind of like we are tonight. And I was kind of just being honest with you. I was kind of getting just a teeny bit frustrated. I'm looking out there and I'm thinking, my God, what is going on? Now, I seen that brother that had received the Holy Ghost and he was sitting on the front row. He looked a little different than he did when he come in and got the Holy Ghost on that first Sunday morning. Had a suit, had a tie. Look like a good old apostolic man. And and I was standing there just getting frustrated. I was probably in the flesh a little bit. And I looked out at him sitting on that front row and I'm just telling you the thought that come through my mind. Here's what I thought to myself. Are you kidding me? If anybody ought TO BE PRAISING GOD, it's you. I remember I remember where you was 2 months ago. I remember what your mama said that that you had overdosed and she went and
picked out your casket and you're just going to sit there and not respond after all God has delivered YOU FROM AFTER THE ALCOHOL AND THE DRUGS THAT GOD HAS DELIVERED YOU AND I'M TELLING YOU Anybody ever had the Holy Ghost rebuke you? Y'all are all too spiritual. Okay. I had the Holy Ghost rebuke me so strong the moment that thought went through my head and here's what the Holy Ghost said, yes, he ought to be giving me praise because I delivered HIM FROM DRUGS, BUT HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD YOU CLARK COPELAND BE GIVING ME PRAISE BECAUSE I'VE KEPT YOU FROM DRUGS. YES, HE OUGHT TO BE GIVING ME PRAISE BECAUSE I DELIVERED HIM FROM ALCOHOL, BUT HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD YOU BE GIVING ME? I'M PREACHING TO SOME YOUNG PEOPLE THAT'S YOUR TESTIMONY AND I'M PREACHING TO YOU THERE AIN'T THERE AIN'T NOT ONE PERSON IN THIS WORLD THAT OUGHT TO RESPOND MORE THAN YOU. THERE AIN'T NOT ONE PERSON THAT OUGHT TO WORSHIP AND PRAISE AND LOVE GOD MORE THAN YOU. Come on lift up your hands. Come on lift up your hands. Just some musicians come right now. Come on lift up your hands. I'M TELLING YOU THERE'S SOMEBODY IN THIS HOUSE THE CALLOUSNESS ARE GETTING READY TO FALL OFF. THE NUMBNESS IS GETTING READY TO FALL OFF OF YOU. GOD'S GOING TO RESTORE. I want to ask you I want to ask you tonight how do you expect to feel what you used to feel when you're not responding the way that you used to respond? I had a I had a very close very close friend of mine growing up, one of my best friends, and backslid today. But, I remember when he was right on the edge of backsliding and still coming to church. Went out to coffee one day and started talking with him. He said, "Clark I just don't I just don't feel what I used to feel, man." He said, "When I when I come to church, man, it used to be easy for me to feel the presence of the Lord. He said, "I just don't feel it the way that I used to feel it." Asked him, I said, "Well, man are you praying?" How simple is this? I know I know you wanted some big deal. Well, hey, you got the wrong guy. I said, "Are you praying?" He said, "Well not really." I said, "ARE YOU READING YOUR BIBLE?" He said "Been a while." And I said, "Well, bro how do you expect to feel what you want to feel when you're not doing the things You know one thing that one thing that marriage counselors will tell couples that say they have fallen out of love This is what they say. Don't just sit around and just wait for the feeling to come back. Don't don't don't allow yourself to get distance from your spouse and you learn how to live your own life and let this other spouse live their life and just think that one day you're going to re- Here's what they say to do. Continue doing the things that you did when you were in love. Go on dates. Spend time together. Put your phone down. And after a season of time of doing the right thing without the feeling, the feeling will follow. I I've come to I've come to talk to somebody today that even even since this service has
started, you're looking around and you're watching other people pray and you just don't feel what you wish you could feel. I want to ask you, are you praying? Are you Are you worshipping even when you don't feel like worshipping? I I I want to tell you one of the hardest seasons Clark Copeland ever went through in his life was the season when I could not feel God. Thank God, brother Wells, that I kept coming to church. And I learned how to I learned how to dig out a prayer life. Even whenever time I prayed, I did not feel him. One of the hardest tests, and I want somebody to hear me, that you will ever go through, is can you be faithful even when you cannot feel him? Can you One day, Bucky, he come over to the house, and I was sitting on the counter, right and didn't have my shoes on, socks, and just kind of swinging my feet off the edge, and I should have brought a picture of Bucky, or people from Beaufort I can tell you. At this time, Bucky, what is maybe 6'2, big, big man. And strong, been in construction. Come in that day, and just sitting there, and I'm thinking, he walks straight in, does not say a word, walks straight in the kitchen, and come up to me where my feet was dangling off that edge, and he reached out, and he grabbed the end of my foot, and Bucky started squeezing, and twisting, and pulling, and I'm like, "Bucky, what are you doing, man?" And he looked up at me, and asked me one of the craziest questions that I had ever heard in my life. He looked at me dead in my eyes and said, "Clark, do you feel that?" And I looked at him and said, "Well, Bucky, what do you What do you What do you mean, do I? Yeah. I CAN I FEEL THAT." AND HE SAID, "CLARK, take care of yourself. Do the right thing. Because if you don't, there's going to be a day that I'm going to twist, and I'm going to pull, and I'm going to prod. But if you don't do the right thing, no matter how much I pull, no matter how much I cut, no matter how No matter how much I try to get a response out of you, if you LOSE YOUR FEELING, THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. I'M GOING TO BE HONEST WITH YOU ON THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT. I COME ON THIS FIRST NIGHT TO PREACH TO YOU AND TO ASK YOU A SIMPLE QUESTION. AND THAT IS THIS, DO YOU FEEL THAT TONIGHT? IF YOU DON'T, I'M TELLING YOU, IT'S NOT THAT GOD'S not moving. IT'S THAT WE'VE LOST OUR SENSITIVITY. IT'S NOT THAT THE HOLY GHOST IS NOT HERE. IT'S THAT SOMEHOW WE'VE ALLOWED OURSELVES TO GET CALLOUS AND COLD AND HARD. COME ON, young man. The Chicago glory is here. Do you feel IT IN THIS HOUSE? I'M DONE PREACHING. I I'M TELLING YOU I'M TELLING YOU THE BRUSH OF ANGELS' WINGS. IT'S IN THE MAYBE CENTER ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT. I'M ASKING YOU, DO YOU FEEL THAT? I'VE COME TO PREACH HOPE TO YOU. HE SAID, "A NEW HEART ALSO WILL I GIVE YOU and a new spirit will I put within you. And I will take away THE STONY HEART OUT OF YOUR FLESH AND I
WILL GIVE YOU A HEART OF FLESH." I WANT YOU TO throw your hands IN THE AIR ALL OVER THIS BUILDING. All over this building. COME ON. COME ON. I WISH SOMEBODY RIGHT NOW I KNOW IT'S FULL AT THE FRONT, BUT IF I PREACH TO YOU, YOU WANT TO STEP OUT OF YOUR SEAT RIGHT NOW. YEAH, I KNOW SOMETHING. YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR WAY TO THIS ALTAR. COME ON. EVEN IF YOU CAN'T feel it. EVEN IF YOU CAN'T HEAR HIM. AND LIFT UP YOUR VOICE AND SAY, "I'M GOING TO PRAY EVEN WHEN I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS. I'M GOING TO WORSHIP EVEN WHEN I CAN'T HEAR HIS VOICE." COME ON, PEOPLE. WOULD YOU LIFT UP YOUR VOICE? COME ON, LIFT up your voice. Come on, I want every hand raised in this house right now with no music. Come on, I'M TELLING YOU I'VE COME TO REACH FOR SOMEBODY IN THIS HOUSE. I'VE COME TO REACH FOR SOMEBODY IN THIS HOUSE. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE YOU COME TO CHURCH AND YOU WEPT AND CRIED UNDER THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY GHOST. AND I'M ASKING YOU, EVEN IF YOU DON'T FEEL HIM RIGHT NOW, I WANT YOU TO THROW YOUR HEAD IN THE AIR AND I WANT YOU TO OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH AND LIFT UP YOUR VOICE. COME ON, ON THIS FIRST NIGHT, WOULD YOU LIFT UP A SHOUT? COME ON, IS THERE ANYBODY DESPERATE? IS THERE ANYBODY HUNGRY? I WISH YOU'D LIFT UP YOUR VOICE. COME ON, I'm going to push YOU A LITTLE BIT MORE. I NEED YOU TO LIFT UP YOUR VOICE
