Can we give that unto the Lord right now? Has he been good to anybody in this place? I say it all the time, but I heard a man say it once. If you serve an okay God, give him an okay praise. But if you serve a great God, why don't you give him a great praise right now? The best praise that you have. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. If you have your Bibles, turn with me to the book of Exodus, chapter 6. I'll read from verse 6 uh to verse 8. And while you're turning there, it's good to see my friend, Brother Michael MPin. And uh I love that man. He is my friend and I'm thankful for him. We love his ministry and thankful for for the friendship, thankful for godly connections. I give honor again uh to this pastoral family, Pastor uh and Sister Mcool, Bishop and Sister Mcool, Pastor Anthony, Sister Kelly, and Pastor Nate and Sister Ashley Whitley. I'm thankful for them. Uh Pastor Nate preached, as he said earlier, actually, Pastor Anthony just Well, it's been a few years ago now, uh preached Camp Yatta. We were uh blessed to have them. And then Pastor Nate, Sister Ashley showed up this year. And uh man, we're just we are we we love this church. I can't tell you how much we love this church and we love the ministry of this church and we're very thankful for them. But u we were so blessed. As as you already know, uh Pastor Nate is one of a kind and uh this year he just he preached so powerfully. Uh Thursday night was my favorite. He preached I'm a theologian. Maybe you have heard that. And he turned it into a classroom. But uh man, he he he does what he does best. He walked you through the word of God and he broke it down uh where common people like myself could understand it. He took very complicated things and u presented it so well. And and uh I'm just I'm thankful for their friendship. And while they were there, um, my girls fell in love with [name redacted]. And they were just running all over that campground together, riding golf carts and and busting up into our house. [name redacted] jumped in our fridge, I think. All kinds of stuff. And uh, we just had a wonderful time with that family. We love them. We love them greatly. I give honor tonight to Brother Steve HR, uh, dear friend of ours. He is a legend in our area. I don't know if you guys know that, but if you walk into the Middleton High School, he's a legend here, but uh he he uh you walk into Middleton High School and there's a shrine and uh brother Steve Hamer and we had him come just a few years ago and speak at our church and man, our place filled up with people from from his old stomping grounds. And brother Hamer, I love you, sir. Thank you for being my friend. Jason Huff, I love you, man. I appreciate you. I thank God for you. All right, let's get into the word of the Lord tonight. Exodus chapter 6 verse 6. The word of the Lord says, "Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord." Everybody say, "I am the Lord." And the I am went on this this tangent of the things that he will do. He began to say, he said, "Moses, tell them, tell them first off that I am the Lord." And then he says, "Tell them what the Lord will do." And he said, "I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will rid you or deliver you out of their bondage. And I will redeem you with a stretched out arm and with great judgments. I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God, and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will, everybody say, I will. I will bring you in unto the land concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And I will, everybody say, I will. I will give it you for inheritage. And then he he starts it and he ends it with this declaration. I am the Lord. I am the Lord. I want to preach to you tonight on this subject. The I am said I will. The I am said I will. I feel the Holy Ghost in this house on this Sunday night. Would you put your Bibles down? Would you lift your hands? And would you lift your voice in this place with this preacher tonight? Lord, we love you tonight, God. We thank you, God. We give you all the glory and all the honor, God. Lord, and I'm asking you tonight, God, to meet us in this sanctuary, God, I feel your spirit in this house, God. I know you did a work uh this morning, Lord. But I believe, God, that something powerful is about to break in this sanctuary, God. I know there's people, God, that needs you in a mighty way. And if there's somebody in this house that's never experienced you in the power of your spirit, God, Lord, fill them tonight, God, from the top of their head to the sole of their feet. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Somebody shout, "Amen." Clap your hands as loud as you can as you're being seated tonight. The I am said I will. Moses and Aaron have gone to the Pharaoh with God's demand to let his people go to serve him. The conflict between conflicting masters has begun. And although that Moses and Aaron met a very favorable response from the people, we know that they heard, they believed, and they worshiped God. They did not meet with such a favorable response from the Pharaoh. And when the situation heated up, the favor of the people turned to accusations and curses. And when things got difficult, the people ran to their master Pharaoh for help. And when the people turned on Moses, the Bible lets us know that Moses turned to God. Hear me tonight, that there is no better place to run than to God. Can I preach to somebody that he is still your best option? that I I believe in help. I believe in therapy. I go for goodness sakes, go to the doctor. Go get advice. Go seek counselor. A counselor. But can I tell you that he is still the mighty counselor. That he is the safe place. That he is a strong tower, a fortress, a standard, and the righteous run in. And they are safe. I'm telling you that there is no better option than Jesus Christ. Is there anybody in this househify that Jesus Christ is still the answer to the world's problems? So Moses runs to God and he asks some hard questions and he makes some heavy accusations. Moses accuses God of doing evil to his people, implying that Moses had more compassion toward them than God did. Sounds like this generation sometimes depending on who you talk to. He implied that God didn't know what he was doing, asking why he had chosen the wrong man to be the hero of the story. And Moses claims to have done his part, although God has totally failed to come through at all. And God's response is what it always is. Thank God. It's what it's always been for me. I've had some Moses moments like this before, Pastor Mcool. But God's response is what it always is. Merciful and patient. Aren't you thankful for a God that did not give you what you deserved, but he gave you mercy and he gave you patience and he showed you kindness. and by his grace we are still here. Moses has these these these these questions but can I tell you that he did not answer each question one by one but instead he revealed himself to Moses because Moses needed not answers he just needed God. I've come to tell somebody in this place uh that walked in here with 20 questions for God and you're upset because you still don't have an answer. What if I told you that the best answer you could get was just God? Just God. Just his presence. Uh just being in his househ. God may not give you the answer that you're looking for, but the answer might be all around you. I wish somebody right now would understand that you may not be able to handle the answer and you need to be okay with just being in the presence of God. So he doesn't give Moses an answer. He just gives him himself. He reveals himself and he shows himself. Now that God has reoriented Moses's focus, he again commisss Moses to speak to the people. And this is what he says to say. Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, Moses, he said, the first thing that I want you to say to them is this. I am the Lord. I am the Lord. This declaration of God's purpose is framed by the statement of his covenant name. I am the Lord. Because this is essential to understand. What he's saying is when your problems loom large, you need to know me. You need to know me. You need to know who I am. Who the I am is I am. He says, you got to understand what is wrapped up in this this declaration. I am the self-existent one. He says the the one who spoke everything that is into existence. I am the uncaused cause of all that is and all that happens. I am the only true, free, and independent being. I am sovereign. I am supreme. Somebody has got to get a revelation before any God can do anything. You've got to get a revelation of who he is. Before we can go any further, you've got to know who God is. And his name is Jesus. Is there anybody right now that would exalt the name of Jesus? Somebody praise him right now. Somebody establish the fact that we serve God. And we serve God alone. Hallelujah. Clap your hands unto the Lord. And after the I am establishes who he is, he begins to say he will. Six times he says, "I will. I will. I will. I will. I will. I will." God makes six I will statements. This is what God will do. Not what Moses will do. Not what the people will do or Pharaoh will do or the gods of Egypt will do. But what God alone will do. Let me stop and tell you tonight that this world, this world and the people in it can make a lot of promises that fall through. And God understood, Moses, you make sure that they know who I am before they I they hear I will hear me tonight. When the preacher comes to this pull pit, I get it. I'm flesh tonight. I get it, pastor. He He He is a man. He is a mortal man. But you got to understand that that man is ste has stepped into an office and that office has an anointing on that. Somebody listen to me right now. And so that man, you got you got to realize tonight that there is a difference in a preacher and a politician. Is that all right? I still believe. Call me oldfashioned if you will, but but there is a difference. I get that there's nothing but flesh holding this mic, but it's not me tonight. And it's not your pastor tonight that I have faith in. It is the God that we serve. It is the office uh it is the anointing uh that God has placed upon him. And you've got to understand that that's not Pharaoh coming to this desk. Uh that it's not another voice that's coming to this desk. He is Moses. He is the mouthpiece. Arion and and Miriam at one point they say to God, they say, "You speak to us." And God said, "I speak to you through dreams and visions." He said, "But Moses, I speak to face to face." Can I tell you that it's more than just a man preaching out of this book, you have to establish that God is speaking to you. You ever been in a service where you walk in and you think, "Nobody knows what I'm going through." And just a man, just a man, just a preacher, he comes up to that pullpit, he has no idea who you are. He has no idea what your family is. He doesn't know where you live. And isn't it amazing? 66 books, all the verses. I don't know how many chapters, somewhere around 3 million words or letters in that in that book. He he opens the book and he turns to a verse and out of that that book, out of that biblo, that Bible, he begins to preach Pastor Mcool everything that I needed to hear. Can I tell you that is not coincidence that that is the mouthpiece of God. It may sound like a mool. It may sound like a porterfield. It it may sound like a mopin but but at the end of the day if he's preaching out of that book it is the mouthpiece of the almighty God. Moses, they will not hear you. But tell them, tell them that the I am has established who it is. Listen to me. I get it. I understand. You won't hear a thing that I have to say tonight. I don't blame you. So, I've got to I've got to convince you and I've got to let you know that it's not me saying tonight. I can't do anything. I can't deliver anybody. Moses. Moses with his stuttering problem. Moses with his humanity. Moses robed in all of the flaws and all of the mistakes and all of the the era in him. He knew God knew he cannot do anything. They won't believe you. Moses. Moses. Before you say anything, before you prophesy, before you speak, let them know that I am the Lord. It is the look. Can I tell somebody tonight you need to look past this preacher from Mississippi? Get that out of your mind. That's a distraction. Uh, and understand, have the revelation that just maybe uh God has a word for you. Uh, that just maybe God is trying to speak. Is there somebody that would rise to their feet right now and say, "God, forgive me. I lay down the distractions. I I put it away the carnality and God, I'm ready." Speak to Somebody shout, "Speak to me." Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And so he says, "I am the Lord." And then he he goes on this this this several verse conversation where he begins to speak what he will do six times. And he starts he starts the I am said I will. He starts in verse six. The first thing he says he says I will bring you out. Look at your neighbor say he will bring you out. It's not me saying it. It's not me. I can't bring anybody out. But God says, "I will bring you out from under the the burdens of the Egyptians." Over 40 times in the Old Testament, this form of this this word is used to describe what the Lord did in the Exodus. Here in the beginning of Exodus, it looks forward to what the Lord will do. In the rest of the Old Testament, it looks back on what God had done. Twice it's used of what God did with Abraham bringing him out of the Chaldes. It is the it is a powerful word meaning to cause to come out to bring out to lead out. It's often used to of bringing captives out of prison. Where's Katon at? Come on, Katon. Come on, Katon. It's it's it's used. I'm gonna use you tonight. You ready? You better get uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. All right, here's Katon right here. But but but but listen to me. Don't be distracted by Katon because Katon represents everybody in this room right now. Because I'm going to tell you, we not we may not be behind physical bars, but there's some of you right now that's under bondage that you're trying to hide. And maybe you're not trying to hide. And you may not be you may not be locking key physically, but I'll tell you right now, your mind has been held captive. Can I get an amen in this place? Can I tell you what God wants to do? Can I tell you that every person under the sound of I'm a pastor. Listen to me. I get it. I understand. We We got voted in in 2018. Before that, we the associate pastors. Before that, I grew up in an apostolic home, a pastor's home. I've seen this my whole life. I understand. If I don't get it now, I won't ever get it. If there's anything that's being fought in this day and hour is the mind of the saints of the almighty God. He's a He's a wise devil. He's a wise serpent. He may not be able to get you with alcohol. He may not be able to get you with nicotine. But I'll tell you what he will do. He'll put a phone in your hand. He'll have you connected to every social media outlet. And when you get off on one, you're on to the other. It is in the last days, his job is to wear out the saints of the most high. That's what his job is. And while you may not be your arms and hands may not be bound with chains and feathers, your mind is held captive. But I've come to tell somebody tonight that the Lord sent me to tell you that I will bring you out. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. But I'm not just talking about that. There is people in this. There's marriages in this househ that nobody knows. God says, "I want a miracle. I want to bring you out. I want to bring some folks out of anxiety and depression and insecurity, oppression." Come on, somebody. Do we still believe that my God can do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or even think? I still believe that God can deliver his people, that God can set you freeh, that God can bring you out. So, this is what's happening tonight. I believe this under the power of the Holy Ghost, Brother Hamer, that there's a God that that's in this house right now that's looking down at some people. Maybe you didn't know you were going to be here on this Sunday night. And the Holy Ghost said, "Where are they? I will I'll tell you what I will do as soon as you get a revelation of who I am." He said, "I will bring you out. I will bring you out." Can I preach a little bit? Stay right there, Katon. Don't leave me. Don't leave me. I'll come find you. And then he says, I will rid you or I will deliver you. I will I will bring you out. But then he says, I will deliver you from slavery to them. He says, I will He says, I will bring you. Let me tell you, this is what's so powerful. in order for him to bring you out and you're in a prison. That tells me that if you're in a literal prison, you can't go to him, but he'll come to you. I feel the Holy Ghost right now. You hear me? So, what he's saying is is some of you don't have strength enough in your body, strength enough in your spirit. And God said you can stay where you've got here, you've got this far. God said, "I'm going to meet you where you are and I'm going to get you out of the mess that you're in and I'm going to bring you out." But then he says, because here's the thing, there's you can come out of a situation and still carry the change from the prison. How many people you know that God delivered 20 years ago, but there's there there's there's some things that's followed them out of that bondage. I I there's two types of people. I've seen it over the years. I've watched people who God has delivered and completely set free. Their mind was restored. Their heart was restored. Their relationships were restored. And then there were the people that God delivered brought out. But it was as if it's like that there's I preach a thing called three dimensions of repentance. And I don't have time to go in it, but in the King James version, there's three levels of repentance. Three levels of it. They saw in the King James version, King James translators saw one they they saw one word for repentance. Well, we see one word for repentance. They saw three words for repentance. The Old Testament written primarily in Hebrew, the New Testament written primarily in in Greek. And so when they saw it, they see two see two uh seen two Hebrew words and one Greek word. The first one is shu. The Bible says that that that in Genesis that the Lord repented. They saw not shu but nikum. Nikim n a c h a m. And and when he that that literally means intense emotion. God had intense emotion that he made man. How many times have you seen people walk to the altar have intense emotion and they and they they they they feel awful about what has happened and they pray but they never change. When you get over into Ezekiel, the Bible says, "Repent and turn from your wicked ways." That Hebrew word is not num that they saw. They saw a Hebrew word. It was called shoub. They they they translated it to repentance. You see repentance. They saw shu. It means to turn and about face. And there's this is what I'm talking about right here. He'll bring you out first dimension. You come with the chains still on. Second dimension. He'll he'll take off those chains, but some chains will remain. You you you he'll strip you. He'll bring you out. He'll deliver you. But but you you you there there's still a mind battle that you deal with. Anybody know what I'm talking about? So when you get over into the the the the New Testament and you see the book of Mark, you'll see there where the Lord said, "Repent ye for the kingdom of God is at hand." That word repent literally means, it comes from a Greek word metaninoia. It means to change the way that you think. What are you preaching tonight? I'm telling you right now, I'll tell you what I'm preaching. God doesn't want to just bring you out, but he wants to deliver you. And so he looks at you, Katon, and he says, "Hey, if you're going to walk with me, I know you're out of the prison, but get those chains off of you. Uh, get those chains off of your feet and change the way you think. Uh, cuz we're going somewhere that you've never been before. I wish there would be a family. I wish there would be a man of God. I wish there'd be a young lady in this househ declare right now that before this night is over, God is going to deliver me. Oh, hallelujah. Go ahead, somebody praise him right now. Somebody worship him right now. Somebody love him right now. Somebody give God praise right now. Hallelujah. All right. So he wants to bring you out. He wants to deliver you. But then the word of the Lord says, it goes on. What does he say? He said, "I will redeem you." He says, "I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and great acts of judgment." God promises to redeem his people with all his might and powerful acts of judgment. This word redeem or redeemer. Goel is the term for a kinsman, a close relative that defends the honor of the family because after he rescues you, he will defend you. Somebody hear me right now. Numbers 35 and 19, the Bible says, "The avenger of blood shall put himself or put the murderer to death when he puts him he shall put him to death." The redeemer, often translated avenger of blood, would vindicate a relative who was murdered. Somebody hear me tonight. That thing in your life that tried to destroy you, God said, if you'll give me enough time, he said, I will redeem you. I will redeem you. The avenger of blood. He is the the redeemer. That's what he is. Stay right there, Katon. But what he does is he he brings you out. He he he delivers you of all the bondage, of all the chains that is holding you back. He walks you over. He looks at you and he says, "I want to redeem you." What he's saying is is that thing that has haunted your family, that thing that has haunted your mind, that addiction that has followed so close behind, he said, "If you'll stay here long enough, you'll let me do my job. I am the redeem. That's why it says, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." Because there's people that has been avenged by God that no way there's no way else, nobody else that could have done for them what God did for them. But you know what I think? This is my theology. This is what I believe. I think and pastor can correct me if he if he thinks I'm wrong, but this is what I think happens is we'll get a touch on Sunday night and we'll we'll have true deliverance. Man, there's been people in the altar that I thought there's no way they didn't get they didn't get the real thing. That's the real thing. But we ser we serve a God that has has has has put before us free will. And so I can't tell you how many people that I have watched. They have been brought out and delivered. But before the redeemer could get back to avenge that person, we beat him back. Before he could ever take care and stop that thing that is haunting us, div causing division in our life and trying to destroy us in our life. And I got scripture for this. I think if you've got Acts chapter 28 verse4, I want you to throw it on on the screen here for me. The word of the Lord says, "And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand hand, he said among themselves, no doubt this man is a a what? He is a murderer." They label him. Now, he was a murderer, but they didn't know that they label him whom though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeth suffereth not to live. Go on. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and he felt no harm. Go ahead. How be it when they looked a great while or when when he should have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly, but after they had looked a great while and saw no harm come to him, the Bible says what? They changed their minds. What are you saying? But listen to me. This is what I'm saying. This is what I think happens to people. They get brought out. They get delivered. They bring God brings them over and he says, "Hey, I need you to stay here for just a moment, Katon." But but what happens is Katon doesn't stay long enough. Look at Paul. Paul gets in a terrible situation. And here is Paul where these people have labeled him a murderer. But the Bible says that he should have died. He should have fallen down dead suddenly. He doesn't. But what happens is those people that murdered him, they look a little bit couple months. No, the Bible says that they looked a great while. You've got to give the redeemer time to go back and take care of some things. What are you preaching right now? I'm telling you, if you'll let God, he will do what nobody else can do. But you've got to give him some time. Some of you saying, "Well, if he don't do it in two months, then I'm gone. Done. If he doesn't do it in just a few weeks, then I'm finished." No. Something needs to set up on God's people where you say, "Oh, I'll stay as long as the redeemer needs me to stay." I wish somebody would stand to their feet right now and I wish you would lift your hands and I wish you would say, "God, redeem me. Avenge me. I will." The the I am said, "I will." Go ahead, somebody praise him right now. Somebody worship him right now. Somebody love him right now. Hallelujah. But he doesn't stop there. He says, "I will take you." I'm hurrying. I promise. He said, "I will take you to be my people and I will be your God and you shall know that I am the Lord your God who has brought you out from the under the burdens of the Egyptians." Deuteronomy 4:20 says, "But the Lord has taken you." This taking is an intimate taking, a taking of deep covenant commitment. This word is used of a man taking a wife in marriage. I take you. I take you to be my wife. To love and to honor and to cherish. When I took my wife to be married, it was more than just I like you. Hey, you want to go to McDonald's? No. That's where I took her. I can't believe she married me. But it was more than that. When I when I married her, I I became in covenant with her, Bishop. It was different than that. Let me tell you, there is a realm that you can get in with the Lord that that you you step in covenant with him. So, what happens is, Katon, I'm going to preach to you for just a moment. May maybe you'll hear me. When you're brought out, you're delivered, and you stay long enough for him to re redeem you, the redeemer leaves, and he walks back and he looks and he says, "I want to be in covenant with you." And so he takes you and and he he now you're more than just an everyday person. Now you are his responsibility. Now you are someone that he's he's responsible for. You want to know why this church has been here for 60, for 70, however, how however many years, I'll tell you how. It's been able to overcome and stay true and preach the truth and not be overwhelmed by the by the the currents of this present world. I'll tell you why. There was a bishop that got in covenant with the Lord. There was a pastor that stayed in covenant with the Lord. And now there's a church body that understands that I am in covenant. And if I stay where I'm supposed to stay, God will always take care. I wish somebody right now would lift your hands and let the Holy Ghost set up in this house. You hear me right now? He'll take care of you. He'll cover you. He'll make a way for you. Somebody look at your neighbor. say, "I'm in covenant with him." I remember when I was when I was younger, we had a a lady that walked into our church. She was a known witch in our in our area. Now, I'm not trying to be spooky or anything like that. So, pastor can come get me anytime. I'm not trying to do that. I'm just telling you. I'm not I I there is a there is a spiritual realm. There there is. and and and if you you can't believe in angels and you can't believe in in and in and disciples of Christ if you don't believe that there aren't disciples of of the satanic belief. Matter of fact, that satanic uh religion, satanic following is growing in the United States. It's a scary thing, but there was a a lady by the name of Joy Ray. She's passed away now, but she walked into our church one night and and she sat there. Matter of fact, Jeff Arnold came and preached for us. And when he walked in, he said, "I I he said, "We have we have visitors here tonight." He could feel that opposition in the spirit. And I won't labor here long, but but she walked in and that night, Pastor Mcool, she received the Holy Ghost. She received the gift of the Holy Ghost because the gift is for everybody. The Holy Ghost is for everybody. It's for anybody. I don't care how you're possessed, what you believe, where you come from. The Holy Ghost, what I'm preaching tonight is for everybody. So, so Joy walked in and she lifted her hands and she repented of her sins and she was filled with the spirit of God and we baptized her in the name of Jesus Christ. And when she when when when she got got closer into the church and she started being faithful to the church, she told my dad, she said, "Brother Porterfield," she said, "I want you to know," she said, "I used to go ac across town." And she said, "In Corinth and other places, and I would cast spells upon churches and I would cast spells upon on on pastoral families," she said. But every time that I would drive by your church, she said it was as if I could not open my mouth. What are you saying, preacher? I'm saying there are benefits to being in covenant with the Lord. There are benefits with walking in hand in hand with God. I've come to preach to somebody tonight that if you'll let God take you, uh, he'll walk you into places that you've never thought possible for your family. I wish somebody right now would stand to your feet and lift your hands and let the Holy Ghost fall upon you. Come on, somebody. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Lift your voice. Hallelujah. Oh, can I I'm tell God's about to do something in this house right now. The enemy fought me all evening long. You listen to me. He fought me all evening on because I know there's somebody in this place. There's a family. There's a man there there's there's young people in this househ. And God's about to set you free. You're about to walk in an anointing that you haven't ever seen in your life. That you've prayed for, that you've longed for, that you've desired. But the Holy Ghost is about to do it for you tonight. Remain standing. Musicians, you can come play softly. Hear me. He says, "I will bring you out. I will deliver you. I will redeem you. I will take you." And then he says, The first time he says I will bring you out. The next time he says I will bring he said I will bring you into says I will bring you into into the blessings of God into the promises of God. Some of some of us here tonight the Lord is taking you places that you have never been before. I want you to know God cares about you. He cares about you. He cares about your family. The adversary has fault you. Fault your mind, fault, told you that it wouldn't happen for you, that it couldn't happen for you. Can I flow in the spirit right now for just a moment? I just feel this so strongly. But the Lord sent me to tell you God has not forgotten you. And you're about to step into a realm of blessings. This church is about to step into a realm of blessings that you have never experienced before. I I feel this right now in Jesus name. If you if you are hungry for more of God, for your family, for your ministry, I want you to step out of your aisle right now and I want you to come down to this front. He established it in the beginning and he bookend it at the end. He said, "When you got finished, Moses telling them what I'm going to do and what I will do."
