Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Bethesda, the house of mercy
- He takes the pulpit in a room already worshiping: "Somebody shout praise the Lord. Can anybody feel the presence of the living God in the house? The psalmist said, 'O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.' Thank God that we have the opportunity to feel His presence together. It would be one thing if you came into service and you were the only individual in the room that could feel the presence of God — but I thank God that His arms are not short and His grace is not few: He wants to touch me; He wants to touch you; He wants to touch your neighbor; He wants to touch the visitor; He wants to touch the saint. He inhabits the praises of His people — He sits down; He dwells therein. And I thank God for the stirring of the Spirit that's happening here in this house; it is nothing short of a confirmation for what God has spoken for me to speak to this great multitude and body of people. Anybody glad to be in church this morning? Being cognizant of the time, I want to briefly and hastily turn your attention to the book of John: John the 5th chapter, the 1st through the 8th verse is what we will be walking through this morning." While they turn there: "I tried my best to walk around the sanctuary prior and during worship service, because we want to make sure that everyone that walks through these doors feels welcome — don't we, saints? There are a number of first-time visitors in the house this morning, and I know we had a time of meet and greet — three minutes to shake hands and love somebody, and let them smell your perfume this morning, because you took time to put it on. Can we make the visitors feel welcome with a hand clap? We are so glad you are here. Come on, Porter — let's let them know. God is happy that you're here. And all visitors are special, but there is a special visitor here this morning that's special to me — I'm not going to embarrass him; I won't even point him out. But he's in the room: Mr. Kevin Osborne is here. He's a businessman in the city — he's waving; oh, there he is; Kevin's not shy. Kevin is special: he's an entrepreneur, an owner of several businesses, a hardworking man, grinding — grinding so much that in working and owning his businesses, he's been picking up a side hustle at Buffalo Wild Wings. Lord, I need some wings right now. And through revival, he's been so gracious and kind to Pastor McCoy and I, when we have a late-night trek over to B-Dubs after service, because nothing else is open. And Kevin's been so good to us — and Kevin promised me, he promised me he would be here this morning. And Kevin, I'm so glad you are here. Anybody thankful that Jesus is here? I don't know who you came to see; I don't know who you came to meet — but I'm thankful that Jesus is here: the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The Lord Almighty is in the house, and something happens when Jesus shows up — which is what we want to explore in John 5:1-8. This text of Scripture, these eight verses I want to walk through this morning, are very interesting in their nuances: there are some small details that I believe God wants to use to help minister to us." The walk-through: "Jesus is going to Jerusalem — the Bible says that after this there was a feast of the Jews; some believe that this feast they were going to Jerusalem to celebrate was the Feast of Pentecost. And the Bible says that Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem, by the sheep market, a pool which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, meaning the house of mercy. The Bible says that this pool had five porches, and in these porches there lay a great multitude of impotent folk. I wonder if I'm in the house and there's any imperfect people in the sanctuary — come on, I think God's talking to everybody in the room. Among the impotent folk, the Bible begins to classify and name their infirmities: blind, halt — paralyzed — withered, feeble of strength in their extremities. And all of these impotent people were waiting for the moving of the water, waiting for the troubling of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled" — somebody shout stirred — "the waters. And whosoever then first, after the stirring" — somebody shout stirring — "whosoever would then first step" — somebody shout step — "into the waters was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. It did not matter what the ailment was: there was healing in the water. It doesn't matter what you're battling, what you're dealing with, what you're going through, what you've come to the house with — I come to tell somebody, we are in the house of mercy this morning. And the Bible declares — I know you're standing, and we're almost done with this text — in verse 5, that there was a certain man there which had an infirmity for thirty-eight years" — somebody shout, that's a long time — "The Bible says that when Jesus saw him, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case — he had been battling with this infirmity a long time, and Jesus knew it — Jesus asked him a question: He said, 'Wilt thou be made whole?' And the man, wanting to be made whole — the impotent man — responded and answered: 'Sir, I have no man' — anybody ever felt like that before, when you need help, when you need strength, when you need somebody to talk to? — 'Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool. And to make matters worse — when I've tried to make the effort, and I'm coming, I'm trying to go down into the pool — another steppeth down before me.' Somebody else gets into the pool before me. And this pool is on a first come, first served basis; and I was too slow to get into the waters; and so for thirty-eight years, I've still been sick. And Jesus said, 'Today is a good day, my friend' — I want to tell somebody: this morning is going to be a good morning for somebody — Jesus said, 'Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. You don't need the waters; I want you to walk, and you're going to leave this place different this morning.' Anybody want to leave different? I feel a stirring in the house right now; I feel a stirring in the waters right now. There's a healer that just stepped into the house; there's a God that just moved into the room; there's a Savior that just showed up on the scene. It doesn't matter what you're going through — whosoever will, whosoever wants to be healed — lift up your hands, lift up your voice, give God a praise, and believe that there's a stirring in the room." His thought: "Stepping into the stirring."
Scriptures: John 5:1-8
Don't forget the details
- "For the next few moments I want to minister from this thought: stepping into the stirring. Anybody can feel the Holy Ghost in the house right now? There's nothing that I love more than looking at biblical stories. Brother McCoy, even with 20/20 vision, I wish I could put on a spiritual lens of glasses to try to see exactly what was happening in these stories, because these are not just stories: these stories are here to give us revelation, to speak to us, to minister to us. And there's nothing like seeing a story that we can relate to as a multitude: these stories that have a number of people involved in them make me think about the congregation, because we all come from different parts of the city, different backgrounds; we don't share the same economic status; we don't share the same ancestry; we come from different places — all people, every kindred, every nation, every tribe, every tongue that's in this building this morning. But can I tell you: it doesn't matter who you are and where you come from, there's still just one God trying to talk to every last one of us. God loves us the same — and that's why, when we all come into the house, I want to lift up and magnify the name of the Lord together. There's some nuances in this story — it's only eight verses, so you know I won't be long. Somebody say, 'Don't forget the details.' Some small details here that I pray we don't miss, because they are profound in what's happening at this pool. Jesus is on His way to Jerusalem to celebrate a feast — and many theologians believe that this was the Feast of Pentecost, the coming again to Jerusalem to worship, to celebrate after the Passover. And as Jesus is going to Jerusalem, John is careful to tell us that on His journey there was a sheep market — don't forget that detail. There was a sheep market there, and by the sheep market there was a specific pool — a pool that had five porches. These porches had steps, and on the steps — I'm trying to paint a picture right now — there lay a great multitude of specific people, gathered among the congregation: a great number of people whose specific reason for being there was because they had infirmities; they had imperfections. Their infirmities that John begins to categorize are very specific: the blind people were there — somebody shout the blind; the halt people — somebody shout the paralyzed; and the withered — somebody shout the weak. All of these people were there, and their presence at the pool was because there was a certain season — a season that we don't know the specific time of, but we know there was a time that the Bible declared an angel would go down into the pool, and the angel would first step into the waters, and the angel would begin to stir. I don't know how he did it — with his hands, or if it was just his feet stepping into the pool — but something caused the pool to become stirred, and caused the pool to become supernatural. Now, can I just tell you right now: when we come into the house of God, we're not just coming into another building. This ain't another business building; this is not another office downtown; this is not your workplace. This is the house — this is the house of God; this is the house of healing; it is the pavilion of protection; it is the sanctuary of salvation. And when you come into this house, you ought to feel something: when the singers are singing, something ought to just crawl down the back of your neck, because the presence of God is in the room. And when the presence is moving, there's a stirring. This ain't sensationalism; this ain't a football game: something happens, something stirs, when the supernatural begins to move. When something begins to move — when there is a stirring — it is in our best interest — somebody tell your neighbor, 'This is in your best interest' — it is in our best interest that when something supernatural begins to stir, we step into what's stirring. When the Spirit of God begins to move, you say, 'God, I can feel You doing something, and I don't want to just sit here; I don't want to just be a spectator; I don't want to just be on the sidelines; I don't want to just hang out on the steps — but I want to step into whatever You're doing. God, if You're trying to bless my family, I want to step into the blessing; if You're trying to heal my life, I want to step into the healing; if You're trying to restore my mind, I want to step into the restoration.' Church ain't about spectators — it's about participators at the pool. You've got to get in where you fit in, and get in while it's stirring. But there was a problem here: the specific people that were named — the blind, the halt, and the withered — represented trouble. The waters would be stirred at one moment, and one person — only one, somebody shout one — only one individual, first come, first served. Now, if you don't think that's a problem: you let Walmart say the first person that gets in these doors gets a shopping cart full of everything you need on your grocery list this week for free. Some of y'all ain't shouting — maybe I should have said Target. Oh, I just struck a nerve right there: Sister McCoy said, 'Forget Target — I'm going to Kroger's.' Praise God. A Black Friday special has nothing on that: there'll be lines up outside; there'll be tents; there'll be cookouts; there'll be fights — because they said only the first person that gets in these doors gets it for free, and only one person can leave with a healing that day. Ladies and gentlemen, that is a problem, because everybody needed a healing: the blind man wanted to see; the paralyzed wanted to feel their legs again; the weak wanted to feel the strength in their extremities. And something was wrong when only one person can come to the house of mercy and get healing. But can I tell you some good news on a Sunday morning? When you walk through those double doors, everybody can get a healing. When you get in the house, everybody can be restored. When you start clapping your hands, everybody can feel the presence. When you lift up your voice and pray, everybody can get a taste of the glory; everybody can get a handful of healing. We're in the house of mercy — I need it for my body; I need it for my mind — and everybody can get it. There was a problem that only one could get it at a time — but that wasn't the only problem; that wasn't the biggest problem. The biggest problem was that their infirmity inhibited their ability to step into the pool. Because the blind man — his legs work, but he can't see when the waters are troubled. The paralyzed man can see the water's troubled, but his legs don't work; he can't get into the pool unless somebody puts him in there. I can imagine the paralyzed man: 'The waters, the waters!' — he can see that they're being troubled, but he can't move. And the blind man that can't see the waters — 'The waters, the waters!' — but now he can't see how to get down into the pool. The withered man is probably in the best position of all: he can see, he can move, but his body is so weak he has to move slowly. Everybody see the picture? Everybody that's there, their infirmity inhibits them from moving and stepping into the pool to get a healing — and now it's a race to the waters. But everybody there needs somebody. If you think you're going to make it without somebody helping you, you've got another thing coming: the preacher needs a saint; the saint needs a saint; the visitor needs a saint — and we all need God. I can't get in the waters without somebody helping me. 'How can I, except some man should guide me?' So the blind man needs somebody to walk him down — 'Watch that step' — to walk down into the pool, because he can't see the waters. And the halted man can't move fast enough, so somebody's got to drag him down into that pool. And the paralyzed man has to have somebody pick him up to put him into the waters. But can I tell you what's so beautiful about this story? When the One that caused the stirring — God sent His angel down into the pool to stir the waters — but what makes this story beautiful is when the living waters begin to walk. When the waters begin to walk — the One that walked on the waters — He showed up at the pool that day, and He said, 'The wait is over.' I don't know how long you've been waiting; I don't know how long you've been battling — but the wait for the waters is over. I don't know how long you've been needing a healing, how long you've been needing help, how long you've been needing strength — but the One that walks on waters just walked in the house. He said, 'I am the living water; I am the moving water; I am the troubled water.' Everything changes when Jesus steps into the room — everything. If you need something, I want you to worship right now: if it's blindness and you need direction in your business, God's talking to you; if it's withered and you feel weak in your spirit, God's talking to you. Sometimes we can be paralyzed in life — paralyzed from stuff that we ain't had nothing to do with. The child Mephibosheth became lame on his feet; he became paralyzed the rest of his life, and it wasn't even his fault: he was dropped at five years old, and the rest of his life he could not use his legs. I come to tell somebody that's been battling with hurt from way back in your past: there's a healer in the house. It doesn't matter what happened in your childhood — when the God of healing walks and stirs the waters at the house of mercy — even Mephibosheth, that paralyzed boy, I'm looking for him, that I can show him mercy. Bethesda was the house. Anybody need mercy in the room? We all need mercy: we're crippled men, broken people, bruised people. We can step into the stirring, lift up our hands, and the supernatural begins to flow; we can lift up our voice, and the Spirit begins to move."
The Good Shepherd walks past the perfect sheep
- "Can I tell you what's even better about the story? The story just gets better and better. I told you: don't forget the detail that this pool was by a sheep market. That's not a detail we need to look over, because not only were the living waters walking, but the market was a sheep market — and all of a sudden, the Good Shepherd shows up at the market. What's so important about that? I'll tell you: the reason why it was a sheep market — the sheep gate — was because this was the specific location where the children of Israel, the Jews that were going to worship and celebrate at the feast, would purchase their sheep for the sacrifice. I'm still in the book: you remember, they would sell doves and all — and Jesus cracked the whip on them; whoever said Jesus was soft is a lie. But this is a sheep market. Brother Kevin, can I tell you what's important about that? In order for a sheep to be sold and sacrificed, the sheep had to be unblemished. The sheep had to be perfect: the sheep couldn't be blind; the sheep couldn't have a mangled leg. The sheep couldn't be bruised or blemished, because if it was, it could not be sacrificed and it could not be sold at the sheep market. The sheep, for all intents and purposes, could not have an infirmity. 'Brother Williams, I'm trying to follow you; I don't understand where you're going.' Well, can I take you to Matthew 18:12, because the Good Shepherd shows up — and Jesus had to walk past the sheep that were perfect." He calls some of the church's children forward to play the lambs — "These are the perfect little lambs... Mary had a little lamb" — and preaches over them: "Jesus had to walk past the perfect sheep at the sheep market. I'm going to back up again, because y'all ain't heard what I'm telling you: Jesus had to walk past the sheep that didn't need healing, the sheep that had no blemish — and He said, 'Wait a minute, gentlemen: I've got to leave the ninety and nine, and there's one sheep that's by the water; there's somebody by the pool that needs Me. Listen: I didn't come for the perfect people; I came for the sheep that had bruises; I came for the sheep that had hurt.' He said, 'Listen, gentlemen, y'all hang tight for the sacrifice — but I've got one that needs My hand more than anything.' I wish the imperfect sheep in the room would say, 'God, that's me — can You come rescue me? Can You come pick me up?' He came for the one. I don't know who I'm preaching to, but God's talking to you: it ain't for your neighbor; it ain't for your friend; it ain't for your family — I'm the sheep He's looking for. There's a stirring; you've got to step into the stirring. That word's for me: I've been going through it for thirty-eight years; I've been battling for ten weeks — there's something stirring right now. I'm preaching to people that are trying to find their way: 'God, I need a word; I need direction; I need strength.' God's coming for you. I wonder what it sounds like when a lamb has a broken leg; I wonder what it sounds like when a sheep — somebody, lift up your voice; let Him know: 'Jesus, I'm over here. I'm limping; I can't walk right; I've been trying to find help; I've been trying to find strength.' Let the Shepherd know: 'I need You.' That lamb with the bruised leg — he's just waiting for the Shepherd to pick him up. 'I have nobody to put me in the water; I have nobody to help my mind; I have nobody.' So this man was not just a man: he was a lost sheep of the children of Israel, that everybody else forgot about. The lamb that had no friends — at least blind Bartimaeus had somebody next to him telling him to be quiet; they weren't good friends, but at least he had some. He said, 'Sir, I don't have nobody.' Anybody ever felt lonely before? 'I want to be healed, but I don't have nobody.' And the living water walks by the edge of that pool, and the Bible says Jesus knew — He knew; the One that knows all — He knew that he had been in that case alone. I want to know: how long has it been that you're in where you are? If it's been a long time, that means the preacher is preaching. I'm here for somebody's soul to be saved this morning. Anybody know there's a house of mercy, where salvation begins to flow? There's a stir that happens in the water; there's a washing that happens in the water. Something happens when you can get in the waters of the Spirit, when you can find the waters that heal, when you can find the waters that save. This ain't just church — this is the house of mercy." He has the media team put the baptismal waters on the screen: "I didn't ask the media team — aren't they doing an incredible job trying to follow this preacher? I just feel to do this right now: can you show the baptismal waters on the screen? Just to set the image — the actual baptismal waters, like what we do after service. There it is: you see them steps down into that water. He said, 'Whosoever stepped in first was made whole.' That's not a detail you've got to glaze over right there, because there's a difference between healing and being made whole. When Jesus healed, He healed one, and He said — and the Pharisees were upset, and Jesus said, 'Wait a minute; no, come back' — He said, 'I ain't just going to heal you; your sins be forgiven you.' And then they really got mad — because God's more interested in you being made whole than just healing you. What good would it be for God to heal you of cancer, and you not make it to heaven? If you've got to be sick in body — He said, 'I would rather you pluck your eye out and make it to heaven with one eye; I would rather you cut your hand off and make it to heaven with one hand, than be healed and not make heaven.' Can I tell you: heaven is still the goal; seeing the Savior is still the goal. I want to see the Good Shepherd; I want to sit by the pool of living waters; I want to sit at the feet of Jesus. I see a few people standing — I think I wonder about the rest of you, if you still want to show up to church — because it ain't about church; it's about heaven. Believe it or not, being made whole is about heaven. I want to be healed in body, in mind, and in my soul. There was a time that the saints ought to preach with the preacher: 'Preacher, I was blind — but now I see. I couldn't walk — but now I'm healed. I was mangled and halted and withered — and the Savior showed up. He showed up at the pool for me.' I'll tell you: I'm done preaching — I'm right here; come quickly to the piano; that's how you know I'm done. Those waters" — somebody shout the waters — "those waters are always available. But whosoever will be healed by the waters has to make the effort to get in the waters. I've been a young preacher, and I know I'm young, and I've probably been doing this long enough to see a few things. I know that there are times that the Spirit of God is moving on people, and pulling them to the pool — trying to save them, trying to rescue them, trying to heal them, trying to restore them. But when Jesus pulls, you still have to step. You still have to step — somebody shout step. The preacher can preach a good sermon, but I can't make you; I can't force you; I can't push you into the pool. What are you preaching about, preacher? I'll tell you right now: you see those waters? You see those steps? The stirring of the waters is the stirring of salvation. Now I'm about to tell you some things that you probably never heard — and I would not be a preacher worth my salt if I didn't tell you what the Bible says. Are we okay with using the Bible in this matter? I don't want to be one of them preachers that give you a whole bunch of sermons with no Scriptures. And so I've got five — somebody shout five. There's five reasons why we need to step into the stirring. And there's some people — you've already been washed by the blood; you've already stepped into the pool; God has already made you whole. But I want to minister; I want the hand and the voice of God to lead somebody to the waters this morning."
Scriptures: Matthew 18:12
Five reasons to step into the water
- "There are five different biblical reasons why we need to get in the water. I'm going to start at the bottom — I messed up the order; media team, I'm sorry. The Bible says in John 3:5: 'Except a man or woman be born again of the water' — somebody shout the water — 'and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.' You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven except you step into the stirring. Now I just want us to see what God is stirring this morning. Acts 2:38 — everybody see it at the bottom. In fact, let's start at Mark 16:16: 'He that believeth' — any believers in the room? I believe He's the Good Shepherd; I believe He's God Almighty manifested in the flesh; I believe He's a healer; I believe He's a Savior — anybody believe? — 'He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.' Are we still reading the book? If you don't trust this screen, just crack open your Bible — it's in there, I promise you. One of the reasons why we must step into the pool when it's stirred is because if you really want salvation, salvation is saturated by the stirring of the waters: 'He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.' Which means: you want to see heaven, you've got to get in the waters. 'Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit.' Why do we need salvation? I'll tell you why: because with sin — that's a real dirty word, literally — with sin staining our soul, God is so holy that the only way we can make it into the presence of His throne is without sin. The lamb has to be unspotted, no blemish. Which means that if we are full of infirmities and imperfections in our soul, we have to remove them to see the great Shepherd. How do we remove them? Acts 2:38 says: repent — somebody said, tell God you're sorry. But it's not just saying you're sorry: anybody ever got in an argument with somebody, and they said they were sorry, and you knew they didn't mean it? 'I'm sorry' — come on, y'all, tell the truth; they didn't mean one lick of it; they was planning on doing it the next day. No: repentance is saying, 'God, I haven't been the man that I should be; I haven't been the woman that I should be.' And I've got to remove this staining on my soul. How do you do that? You've got to be washed in the waters. He said, 'And be baptized' — listen, everybody at the pool wanted to be healed; there wasn't one person there that didn't need the waters — 'be baptized, every one of you' — from the front to the balcony — 'every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved, except that great name. And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, the evidence of speaking in tongues, like the Bible says.' You say, 'Well, preacher, are you telling me that baptism can wash away my sins?' You better believe it can: the remission is the removal. The removal of your sins is when you step into the pool. Now, you know what I like about the Bible? It's got every last one of us covered. Some people, like me — I know I ain't no good without God. But there are some really good people in this room: precious souls, precious people. We've met Kevin — I don't know his background; every time he's seen us, he's got a smile; he's kind. And there are good people in this world. Do good people need baptism? Do you know that John the Baptist tried to forbid Jesus to be baptized? Oh, some of y'all didn't know Jesus was baptized. If baptism is for the removal of sins, then why was Jesus baptized? I'm glad you asked — this is a different reason. He that was without sin knew no sin; Jesus was not baptized to remove sin — for all the sinless people in the house; that was a joke. Jesus was baptized — watch this: Matthew 3:14: 'And John forbade Him, saying, I have need to be baptized of Thee' — 'I want You to baptize me; You are the living water; what do I need to baptize You for?' — 'and comest Thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now' — 'I need you to baptize me right now.' Jesus, what do You need to be baptized for? You don't sin; You've never sinned; You've never hurt; You've never lied; You've never stolen. Why? He said: 'For thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.' If we want to be righteous — even if we've never sinned, not one time have we sinned — the waters are still necessary to fulfill all righteousness. I want to be holy; I want to please God; I want God to be pleased with me — and I need to step into the stirring. Anybody want to be righteous? I'm not talking about just being a philanthropist; I'm talking about being righteous, and holy, and pleasing to the living God — the living waters that save the souls of people. We're baptized for salvation — somebody shout salvation. Boy, I wish somebody had a notepad out right now; this is good Bible study material. We're baptized for the removal of sins. Anybody need some sins washed? It doesn't matter if you have a felony record: those felonies are not on your soul; they might can stay in the record books in the district office, but with the hand of God washing, and wiping, and blotting out every transgression, when you get in the pool they don't follow you anymore. We're baptized for salvation; we're baptized to remove our sins; we're baptized to fulfill all righteousness. Anybody's counting? We've got two more. The Bible declares in Colossians 3:17: 'And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.' The reason why we go down in the name of Jesus is because it is a biblical command that everything we do — He said, if you give a cup of water in My name, you are being a pleasing servant unto Me. If you're going to find righteousness, you've got to go down in My name; you've got to come up in the name — and that's how you're made whole. Baptism — somebody shout baptism — baptism is a deed; it's something we do. Are you saying, preacher, that you've got to do something to be saved? Unfortunately, we can't just live life and walk around and believe that we're good enough to get in: you have to do something. You mean to tell me they couldn't just lay there on those steps and be healed? They had to step into the waters. Now I'm almost done; I'm on number four. Some of us, as we stand to our feet right now — I'm closing — some of us don't know if we need the waters or not. You're not sure about it; the Scriptures are there, and we can still not be sure about it. Is this all right, if we're just talking this morning — from the front row to the balcony? If you have not been baptized yet, I want you to hear me: when you go to bed at night, when we lay our head — are you 100% sure that you've lived your life in a way to fulfill all righteousness? Do you know for sure you've been obedient to the Word of God — every command, including baptism? Baptism is a command; it is a deed, to be obeyed by the one that has an infirmity. One of the best reasons — if it's not for the removal of your sins, because I know we all have sin, and because we have sin, our conscience can become stained with the guilt of the stuff we've done — anybody ever felt guilty for doing wrong? How do I know that when I pull out of this parking lot on Fourth Street, if I was in a head-on collision, how do I know assuredly, unless my conscience is clear? The Bible says in 1 Peter 3 — everybody can see it at the top — 'The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us.' Somebody shout baptism. I'm going to read this real slow: baptism doth also now save us — baptism will save your soul. Not just the putting away of the filth of the flesh; not just for the removal of your sins. Can I tell you what's beautiful about baptism? I've seen so many people that have a past so dark, a life so riddled with the remnants of stuff — broken people, broken past, broken relationships, messed up, marred, a trail of stuff following them. Listen: if anybody's got something trailing you, and you're saying, 'I wish it would leave me alone' — I'm telling you, my friend: when you step into the stirring, God will take that scent, that trail of sin, and He'll cut it off; He'll blot it out; He'll wash it away. He'll give you a new mind. Somebody — the reason why you need to be baptized this morning, there's several of you here — is because you need your conscience clear. What's wrong with making sure? What's wrong with knowing for sure? What's wrong with saying, 'God, I don't know if I've done everything right; I don't know if there's something left on my record, something still on my soul — I don't know'? Your conscience can be made clear this morning, and God can give you a peace of knowing, so you can rise up, take up your bed, and from this day forward you can walk with Him in a life you've never walked in. Anybody want to walk with God like you've never walked with Him? I'm not just talking to the visitor; I'm preaching to some people: you've got stuff in your mind that you need healing; you've got stuff in your past you need remediation; you've got stuff in your heart that you need help with. And I come to tell you: there's a God — if you can step into the stirring, you can step into the stirring — there's healing in the waters."

Will thou be made whole?
- "I want us to close our eyes right now. It's 11:44; we're going to pray. There's people online watching this sermon right now: I pray that God will speak to you, and the next time you're in church, I pray you get in those waters. Don't leave it up to chance. If there's some healing you need in your life, some healing you need in your world — I'm talking about physical healing; I'm talking about spiritual healing; I'm talking about stuff in your mind: your conscience is so weighed down, in turmoil with the thoughts of torment, of who you've been and what you've done and who you've hurt — I'm telling you right now, there's a stirring in the Spirit. There's a stirring that happens in the Spirit when we come into the presence of God, and we lift up our hands and say, 'God, I'm just looking for a Shepherd to mend my brokenness.' I want us, all across the house, from the front to the back, to lift up your hands as high as you can lift them. With one voice, lift up your voice out loud: let God know if there's any hurting sheep in the room. I don't know what you've been through in your life; I don't know how many years you've battled depression, and how many years you've battled suicide, and how long you've battled with your sickness and the infirmities in your body. But I promise you: if you lift up your voice right now, there's a stirring that can happen in the atmosphere. I need some prayer warriors to lift up your voice right now: there's some hurting sheep in the house; there's some mangled lambs in the room; there's some broken and blemished in the house. The waters are waiting for you. There's no hurt that God can't heal; there's no brokenness He can't mend. Lift your hands and pray earnestly, from your heart: everything that's troubling you can be troubled in the waters. Pray a little bit longer: the angel of the Lord is stepping down in the house. Reach up for God like you really need a hand of help; reach up for the Savior like you need somebody to hold you. Something's stirring. I want us to pray right now until the Holy Ghost begins to move in the house. I want you to connect with your neighbor right now: you're not the only one at the pool that needs a God; you're not the only one at the waters that needs a Savior. We need healing; we need strength; we need the hand of the Shepherd. Connect with your neighbor right now, and pray, pray, pray, pray in the name of Jesus. There's some young people: you're battling so much stuff that your parents don't even know about it; you're warring with so much stuff; you're ashamed to tell anybody about it. But I just want to know: will thou be made whole? Do you believe that God can help you right now? This is step one: I need you to connect with somebody, where it's appropriate; I want you to pray — pray that the hand of strength will get a hold of them. If you've got the Holy Ghost, I want you praying until the Spirit begins to stir. I know you're taking pills to go to sleep; you haven't had a good night's rest in years — but I come to tell you: the One that can give you peace of mind, He's in the room. Dig deep: how bad is the hurt? How bad is the pain? Can you see where you're going? Can you see the truth? It's in the book. This ain't just about baptism — I'm talking about your soul and your family being restored. Somebody you're next to — they're going through it right now; they need a shepherd to pick them up right now. I don't want anybody to feel forced—" The upload ends there, inside the altar prayer.

Somebody shout praise the Lord. Amen. Can anybody feel the presence of the living God in the house? Come on. Anybody thankful we can feel the presence of a living God in the house? Come on. The psalmist said, "Oh, magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together." Amen. Thank God that we have the opportunity to feel his presence together. It would be one thing if you came into service and you were the only individual in the room that can feel the presence of God. But I thank God that his arms are not short and his grace is not few. And I thank God that he wants to touch me. He wants to touch you. He wants to touch your neighbor. He wants to touch the visitor. He wants to touch the saint. Come on. I thank God that we can all feel. Anybody can feel something in the room. Come on. If you feel what I feel, I think we ought to respond to the presence of God. Hallelujah. Jesus. Come on. He inhabits the praises. He inhabits the praises of his people. He sits down. He dwells therein. Amen. Amen. And I thank God for the stirring of the spirit that's happening here in this house. And it is it is nothing short of a confirmation for what God has spoken for me to speak to this
great multitude and body of people. Anybody glad to be in church this morning. Amen. Being cognizant of the time. Amen. I want to briefly and hastily turn your attention to the book of John. John the 5th chapter the 1st through the 8th verse is what we will be walking through this morning. And while you are turning there, I tried my best to walk around the sanctuary prior and during worship service. Amen. Because we we want to make sure that everyone that walks through these doors feel welcome, don't we, saints? Amen. We want everybody to feel welcome. And there there are a number of firsttime visitors in the house this morning. And I know that we had a time of meet and greet, three minutes to shake hands and love somebody and let them smell your perfume this morning because you took time to put it on. Praise God. But I I wonder if we can make the visitors feel welcome with a hand clap. We are so glad you are here. Come on, Porter. Let's let them know. Come on. God is happy that you're here. Amen. And all all visitors are special, but there is a special visitor here this morning that's special to me. And I'm not going to embarrass him. I won't even point him out. But he's in the room. Mr. Kevin, Mr. Kevin Osborne is here. He's a businessman in the city. He's waving. Oh, there he is. Kevin's not shy. Kevin's in the house. And Kevin is special. He's an entrepreneur. He's a businessman. He's he's a owner of several businesses. He's a hardworking man. He's grinding. He's grinding so much that in working and owning his businesses, he's been picking up a side hustle at Buffalo Wild Wings. Lord, I need some wings right now. And through revival, he's been he's been so gracious and kind to Pastor McCoy and I when we have a late night trek over to B-Dubz after service cuz nothing else is open. And Kevin's been so good to us. And Kevin promised me, he promised me he would be here this morning. And Kevin, I'm so glad you are here. So glad you are here. Amen. Anybody thankful that Jesus is here? Come on. I don't know who you came to see. I don't know who you came to meet, but I'm thankful that Jesus Come on. I don't know if you know who I'm talking about. I'm talking about the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Come on. The Lord Almighty is in the house and something happens when Jesus shows up which is what we want to explore in John 5 and1. This text of scripture, these eight verses I want to walk through this morning are very interesting and the nuances here. There are some small details that I believe that God want to use to help minister to us. Jesus is going to Jerusalem. And the Bible says that after this, there was a feast of the Jews. Some believe that this feast that they were going to Jerusalem to celebrate was the feast of Pentecost. I wish there was some folks excited about Pentecost and that. And the Bible says that Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a poo which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethzda meaning the house of mercy. The Bible says that this pool had five porches and in these porches there lay a great multitude of impotent folk. I wonder if I'm in the house and there's any imperfect people in the sanctuary. Come on. I think God's talking to everybody in the room. Come on. There's a multitude of imperfect people in the room. Among the impotent folk, the Bible begins to classify and name their infirmities. Blind, halt, or paralyzed, withered, feeble of strength in their extremities. And all of these impotent people were waiting for the moving of the water.
Waiting for the troubling of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled, somebody shout stirred. Come on, say it again. Shout stirred. An angel would go down and begin to stir the waters of the poo. And whosoever then first after the stirring, somebody shout stirring. The stirring of the water, whosoever would then first step, somebody shout step, step into the waters was made hold of whatsoever. It did not matter what the ailment was. There was healing in the water. Oh, I wish somebody was thankful for the spirit of God that it doesn't matter what you're battling. Come on. It doesn't matter what you're dealing with. It doesn't matter what you're going through. I wish I was in a preaching. Come on. It doesn't matter what you've come to the house with. I come to tell somebody, we are in the house of mercy this morning. Oh, I wish somebody would give God praise. I said we are in the house of mercy. And the Bible declares, I know you're standing. And we're almost done with this text. The Bible says in verse 5 that that there was a certain man that was there which had an infirmity for 38 years. Somebody shout that's a long time. The Bible says that when Jesus saw him and knew that he had been a long time in that case he had been battling with this firmity a long time and Jesus knew it. Jesus asked him a question. He said, "Will thou be made whole?" And the man wanting to be made whole, the impotent man responded and answered. He said, "Sir," he said, "I don't have anybody." Anybody ever felt like that before? When you need help, when you need strength, when you need somebody to talk to, he said, "Sir, I have no man." when the water is stirred to put me into the pool, he said. And to make matters worse, when I've when I've tried to make the effort, he said, "And I'm coming. I'm trying to go down into the poo." He said, "Another step it." Somebody shout step. Somebody else gets into the pool before me. And this pool is a first come, first serve basis. And I was too slow to get into the waters. And so for 38 years, I've still I've still been sick. And Jesus said, "Today is a good day, my friend." I want to tell somebody this morning is a good morning for somebody. This morning is going to be a good morning for somebody. Jesus said, "Rise, take up thy bed." He said, "You don't need the waters. I want you to walk and you're going to leave this place different this morning. Anybody feel anybody want to feel that way? Anybody want to leave different? Come on, lift up your voice. Come on. I feel a stirring in the house right now. I feel a stirring in the waters right now. Come on. Come on. Lift up your voice. There's a healer that just stepped into the house. Come on. There's a God that just moved into the room. There's a savior that just showed up ON THE SCENE. SOMEBODY GIVE GOD PRAISE. come on. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH. COME ON. Whosoever whosoever will, whosoever wants TO BE HEALED. I WISH YOU WOULD LIFT UP YOUR HANDS. I wish you would LIFT UP YOUR VOICE. GIVE GOD A PRAISE. and believe that there's a stirring in the room. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on. I feel it stirring. Come on. Clap your hands like you believe it. Come on. I wish somebody would let the Holy Ghost be stirred in the house. Come on. Come on. 10 more seconds. Come on. There's a moving. There's a troubling. There's a shifting. There's a stirring. Come on. Something's happening right now. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on. Stir up a praise. Stir up some faith. Come on, somebody let out a hallelujah. Come on, shout it again. Hallelujah. Come on, shout it again. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Amen. For the next few moments, I want to minister from this thought. Stepping into the stirring. Somebody shout stepping into
the stirring. Amen. Clap your hands one more time as you're being seated. Hallelujah. Amen. Anybody can feel the Holy Ghost in the house right now. There's nothing that there's nothing that I love more than looking at biblical stories. Brother McCoy, I even with 2020 vision, I I wish I can put on a spiritual lens of glasses to try to see exactly what was happening in these stories because these are not just stories. These stories are here to give us revelation, to speak to us, to minister to us. Anybody believe that God's trying to talk to us this morning? And there's nothing like seeing a story that we can relate to as a multitude. These stories that have a number of people involved in them makes me think about the congregation because we all come from different parts of the city, different backgrounds. We we don't share the same economic status. We don't share the same ancestry. We We come from different places, all people, every kindred, every nation, every tribe, every tongue that's in this building this morning. But can I tell you, it doesn't matter who you are and where you come from. There's still just one God trying to talk to every last one of us. I wish somebody was helping me. Hey, it doesn't matter who you are. God loves us the same. and that's why when we all can come into the house I want to lift up and magnify the name of Jesus together. oh let us magnify the name of the Lord and magnify him together. There's there's some nuances in this story. It's only eight verses and so you know I won't be long these eight verses. There are some nuances here Bishop. There are some small details. Somebody say, "Don't forget the details." Some small details here that I I pray we don't miss because because they are they are profound in what's happening at this pool. Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem to celebrate a feast. And many theologians believe that this was the feast of Pentecost, the the the coming again to Jerusalem to worship, to celebrate after the Passover. And as Jesus is going to Jerusalem, John is careful to tell us that on his journey to Jerusalem to to celebrate, to worship at the temple that there was a sheep market. Don't forget that detail. There was a sheep market there. And by the sheep market, there was a specific pool. a pool that had five porches. These porches had steps. And on the steps, I'm trying to paint a picture right now. On the steps, there lay a great multitude of specific people. They were laying there, hear me right now, these impotent folks, a great multitude around the porches, gathered among the congregation. There was a great number of people there that their specific reason for being there was because they had impetacies. They had imperfections. Well, I I wish anybody felt like I feel and know that I'm an imperfect man and I need the waters of the spirit. Their impetuses that John begin to categorize are are very specific. The blind people were there. Somebody shout the blind. The halt people, somebody shout the paralyzed. And the withered, somebody shout the weak. All of these people were there. And their presence at the pool was because there was a certain season, a season that we don't know the specific time, but we know that there was a time that the Bible declared that an angel would go down into the pool and the angel would first step into the waters and the angel would begin to stir. Somebody shout the stirring. The angel would begin to stir the waters. I don't know how he did it with his hands or if
if it was just his feet stepping into the poo, but something caused the poo to become stirred and caused the poo to become supernatural. Now, can I just tell you right now? I just want to stop and tell you that when we come into the house of God, we're not just coming into another building. I wish somebody was hear me. Hey, THIS AIN'T ANOTHER BUSINESS BUILDING. THIS IS NOT ANOTHER OFFICE DOWNTOWN. THIS IS NOT YOUR WORKPLACE. BUT THIS IS THE HOUSE. THIS IS THE HOUSE OF GOD. THIS IS THE HOUSE OF HEALING. IT IS THE PAVILION OF PROTECTION. IT IS THE SANCTUARY OF SALVATION. AND WHEN YOU COME INTO THIS HOUSE, YOU OUGHT TO FEEL SOMETHING. WELL, I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD CLAP YOUR HANDS AND RESPOND IF YOU FEEL IT. HEY, WHEN WE COME INTO THE HOUSE,, WHEN THE SINGERS ARE SINGING,, SOMETHING OUGHT TO OUGHT TO OUGHT TO JUST CRAWL DOWN THE BACK OF YOUR NECK., BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF GOD IS IN THE ROOM., AND WHEN THE PRESENCE IS MOVING,, THERE'S A STIRRING IN the Oh, I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD FEEL WHAT I FEEL., THIS AIN'T SENSATIONALISM., THIS AIN'T A FOOTBALL GAME., I TELL YOU, SOMETHING HAPPENS., SOMETHING STIRS., WHEN THE SUPERNATURAL BEGINS TO MOVE. OH, I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD TAKE ABOUT 15 SECONDS AND JUST FEEL AFTER THE SPIRIT. HEY, I WANT TO IF THERE'S HEALING IN THE ROOM, I WANT TO FEEL IT. IF THERE'S HELP IN THE HOUSE, I WANT TO KNOW IT. IF THERE'S A GOD IN THE MIDST, I WANT to Oh, SOMEBODY CLAP YOUR HANDS. IF YOU DON'T FEEL WHAT I FEEL, I WANT YOU TO CLAP YOUR HANDS UNTIL YOU FEEL IT. Oh yes. COME ON. SOMETHING'S BEING STIRRED RIGHT NOW. COME ON. THE ANGEL OF THE LORD AND KEPT IT ROUND ABOUT. HEY, ANGEL STEP DOWN IN THE HOUSE., AND SOMETHING BEGINS TO HAPPEN., WHERE THE PEOPLE OF GOD CONGREGATE,, SOMETHING BEGINS TO MOVE. When something begins to move, when there is a stirring, it is in our best interest. Somebody tell your neighbor, "This is in your best interest." It is in our best interest that when something supernatural begins to stir, it is best, it is our best interest that we step into what's stirring. I feel the Holy Ghost right now. Oh my God. It is in our best interest that when the spirit of God begins to move,, that you say, "God, I can feel you doing something., and I don't want to just sit here., I don't want to just be a spectator., I don't want to just be on the sidelines., I don't WANT TO JUST HANG OUT ON THE STEPS., BUT I WANT TO STEP INTO WHATEVER you're doing., HEY GOD, IF YOU'RE TRYING TO BLESS MY FAMILY,, I WANT TO STEP INTO THE BLESSING., IF YOU'RE TRYING TO HEAL MY LIFE,, I WANT TO STEP INTO THE HEALING., IF YOU'RE TRYING TO RESTORE MY MIND,, I WANT TO STEP INTO THE RESTORATION. OH, I WISH SOMEBODY HEY, CHURCH AIN'T ABOUT SPECTATORS., IT'S ABOUT PARTICIPATORS AT THE POOL., YOU GOT TO GET IN WHERE YOU FIT IN., AND GET IN WHILE IT'S STIRRING. GOD, I hold everybody shout stepping or stirring. But there was a problem here. The specific people that were named, the blind, the halt, and the withered represented trouble. At the trouble, the waters would be stirred at one moment and one person. Only one, somebody shout one. only one individual, the first first come, first serve. Now, if you don't think that's a problem, you let Walmart say the first person that gets in these doors gets to get a shopping cart full of everything you need on your grocery list this week for free. Some of y'all ain't shouting. Maybe I should have said Target. Oh, I just struck a nerve right there. Sister McCoy said, "Forget Target. I'm going to Kroger's." Praise God. I promise you, back Black Friday special has nothing on that. There'll be lined up outside. It be tents. It will be COOKOUTS BECAUSE THERE'LL BE FIGHTS. Some of y'all don't really want it unless you're fighting for it.
There'll be fights at the front door because they said only the first person, the first person that gets in these doors gets it for free and only one person can leave with a healing that day. Ladies and gentlemen, that is a problem because everybody needed a healing. The blind man wanted to see. The paralyzed wanted to feel their legs again. The weak wanted to feel the strength in THEIR EXTREMITIES. AND SOMETHING WAS WRONG WHEN ONLY ONE PERSON CAN COME TO THE HOUSE OF MERCY AND GET HEALING. BUT CAN I TELL YOU SOME GOOD NEWS ON A SUNDAY MORNING? AND I PRAY SOMEBODY WOULD GET A SHOUT IN YOUR SPIRIT. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THOSE DOUBLE DOORS EVERYBODY CAN GET A HEALING. WHEN YOU GET IN THE HOUSE EVERYBODY CAN BE RESTORED. WHEN YOU WALK IN THE SANCTUARY, every hey, WHEN YOU START CLAPPING YOUR HANDS,, EVERYBODY CAN FEEL THE PRESENCE., WHEN YOU LIFT UP YOUR VOICE AND PRAY,, EVERYBODY CAN GET A TASTE OF THE GLORY., EVERYBODY CAN GET A HANDFUL OF HEALING. I WISH SOMEBODY WAS EXCITED., HEY, WE'RE IN THE HOUSE OF MERCY., I NEED IT FOR MY BODY., I NEED IT FOR MY MIND. AND EVERYBODY CAN GET IT. There was a problem that only one can get it at a time. But that wasn't the only problem. That wasn't the biggest problem. Is this all right this morning? Don't fall asleep. I know I'm taking my time. I'm getting somewhere. I'm just walking through. The biggest problem was that their impetacy inhibited their ability to step into the pool. Oh, I wish somebody would hear me right now. BECAUSE THE BLIND MAN, HIS LEGS WORK, but there's a problem for the pits. He can't see when the waters are troubled. THE PARALYZED MAN CAN SEE THE WATER'S TROUBLE, but his legs don't work. He can't get into the pool unless somebody puts him in there. So, I CAN IMAGINE THE PARALYZED MAN MAKING THE WATERS, THE WATERS, THE WATERS. HE CAN SEE THAT THEY'RE BEING TROUBLE, BUT HE CAN'T MOVE. AND THE BLIND MAN THAT CAN'T SEE THE WATERS, HE'S LIKE, "THE WATERS, THE WATERS." BUT NOW HE CAN'T SEE HOW TO GET DOWN INTO THE POOL. THE WITHERED MAN IS PROBABLY AT THE BEST POSITION IN ALL. HE CAN SEE, HE CAN MOVE, BUT HIS BODY IS SO WEAK, he has to move slowly. Everybody see THE PICTURE? SO EVERYBODY THAT'S THERE, THEIR IMPETACY INHIBITS THEM FROM MOVING AND STEPPING INTO THE POOL TO GET A HEALING. AND NOW IT'S A RACE TO THE WATERS. BUT EVERYBODY THERE NEEDS SOMEBODY. I just want to tell you, IF YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE IT WITHOUT SOMEBODY HELPING YOU, YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING. THE PREACHER NEEDS A SAINT., THE SAINT NEEDS A SAINT. THE VISITOR NEEDS A SAINT., AND WE ALL NEED GOD., I CAN'T GET IN THE WATERS WITHOUT SOMEBODY HELPING ME., I CAN'T FIND MERCY AT THE HOUSE., UNLESS HEY, HE SAID, "YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ?", HE SAID, "HOW CAN I?", I NEED A MAN TO SHOW ME. SO, the blind man needs somebody to walk him down. Watch that step. TO WALK TO WALK DOWN INTO THE POOL BECAUSE HE CAN'T SEE THE WATERSH. AND THE HALTED MAN, HE CAN'T MOVE FAST ENOUGH. AND SO SOMEBODY'S GOT TO DRAG HIM DOWN INTO THAT POOL CUZ HE CAN'T MOVE FAST ENOUGH. AND THE PARALYZED MAN, THE HALTED MAN, he has to have somebody pick him up to put him into the waters. But can I TELL YOU WHAT'S SO beautiful about this story? I I hope somebody's seeing this story like I'm seeing the story. Can I tell you what's so beautiful about this stories? THE STORY THE STORY gets better. WHEN THE ONE THAT CAUSED THE STIRRING GOD SENT HIS ANGEL DOWN INTO THE POOL TO STIR THE WATERS. BUT WHAT MAKES THIS STORY BEAUTIFUL IS WHEN THE LIVING WATERS BEGINS TO WALK. Y'all ain't hear what I'M TELLING YOU. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU FEEL,, BUT WHEN THE WATERS BEGIN TO WALK,, THE ONE THAT WALKED ON THE WATERS,, HE SHOWED
UP AT THE POOL THAT DAY,, AND HE SAID, "THE WAIT IS OVER.", I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN WAITING,, I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN BATTLING,, BUT THE WAIT FOR THE WATERS IS OVER. OH, WHEN SOMEBODY WOULD STAND UP AND SAY, "GOD,, I NEED THAT WORD., I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN NEEDING A HEALING., HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN NEEDING HELP., HOW LONG YOU BEEN NEEDING STRENGTH?, BUT THE ONE THAT WALKS ON WATERS JUST WALKED IN THE HOUSE. I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD GIVE GOD PRAISE., HE SAID, "I AM THE LIVING WATER., I AM THE MOVING WATER., I AM THE TROUBLE WATER." OH, SOMEBODY GIVE GOD PRAISE. SOMETHING'S STIRRING right now. COME ON. EVERYTHING CHANGES WHEN JESUS STEPS INTO THE ROOM. EVERYTHING. Come on. IF YOU NEED SOMETHING, I WANT YOU TO WORSHIP RIGHT NOW. Come on. IF IT'S BLINDNESS AND YOU NEED DIRECTION IN YOUR BUSINESS, GOD'S TALKING TO YOU. IF IT'S WITHERED AND YOU FEEL WEAK IN YOUR SPIRIT, GOD'S Sometimes we could be paralyzed in life. I want to preach plainly, right? Sometimes we can be paralyzed from stuff that we ain't have nothing to do with. The child Mphibicheth became lame on his feet. HE BECAME PARALYZED THE REST OF HIS LIFE. AND IT WASN'T EVEN HIS FAULT. HE WAS DROPPED AT FIVE YEARS OLD. AND THE REST OF HIS LIFE HE COULD NOT USE HIS LEGS. I COME TO TELL SOMEBODY THAT'S BEEN BATTLING WITH HURT FROM WAY BACK IN YOUR PAST. there's a healer in the house. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR CHILDHOOD. WHEN THE GOD OF HEALING WALKS AND STIRS THE WATERS AT AT THE HOUSE OF mercy there even said I'm looking for a paralyzed boy named Aphibichef that I can show him mercy. Bethesda was the house. Anybody need Maybe nobody in the room needs mercy like I need. Ah, where's somebody wave? Anybody need mercy in the room? Come on. We all need mercy. We all We're crippled men. we're broken people. WE'RE WE'RE WE'RE BRUISED PEOPLE. I COME TO TELL SOMEBODY THIS SUNDAY MORNING WE CAN STEP INTO THE STIRRING AND LIFT UP OUR HANDS AND THE SUPERNATURAL BEGINS TO FLOW. WE CAN LIFT UP OUR VOICE AND THE SPIRIT BEGINS to Can I tell you what's even better about the story? The story just gets better and better. I told you don't forget the detail that this pool, somebody shout this pool, this pool was by a sheep market. But the Doug, that's not a detail we need to look over because not only was the living waters walking, but the waters at the market was a sheep market. I wish somebody would see where I'm going right now. And all of a sudden, the good shepherd Y'all ain't hear me right now. The good shepherd shows up at the market. Brothers, what's so important about that? I'll tell you what's important about that. The reason why it was a sheep market, the sheep gate was because this was the specific location that the children of Israel, the Jews that were going to worship and celebrate at the feast, hear me? This is where they would purchase their sheep for the sacrifice. I'm still in the book. You remember they would sell doves and all and Jesus cracked the whip on. Whoever said Jesus was soft is a lie. But this is a sheep market. Brother, brother Kevin, that can I tell you what's important about that? IN ORDER FOR A SHEEP TO BE SOLD AND SACRIFICED, the sheep had to be unblenmished. Come on. I'm still in the book. The sheep had to be perfect. The sheep couldn't be blind.
The sheep couldn't have a mangled leg. I feel my help in the house. I got 10 of y'all. Come on. We going. The sheep COULDN'T BE BRUISED OR BLEMISHED BECAUSE IF IT WAS, IT COULDN'T. THE SHEEP FOR ALL INTENTS OF PURPOSES COULD NOT HAVE AN impetacy or it could not be sacrificed and it could not be sold at the sheep market. I want my shoes right now. SAY, "BROTHER WILLIAMS, I I'M TRYING TO FOLLOW YOU. I don't understand where you're going." Well, can I take you to to Matthew 18 and 12 because THE GOOD SHEPHERD SHOWS UP? And Jesus has to walk past the sheep that were perfect. Y'all gonna make me wake preach way too hard on a Sunday morning. This is my attempt to make sure they ain't sleeping. All right. These are the perfect little lambs, mama. All right. You don't mind that? This way. Come on. Hurry. Come on, little sheep. Mary had a little lamb. Now, JESUS, MY GOD, I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD HEAR WHAT I'M TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW. JESUS HAD TO WALK PAST THE PERFECT SHEEP AT THE SHEEP MARKET. Y'all ain't preaching with me yet. I'M GOING TO BACK UP AGAIN AND CUZ Y'ALL AIN'T HEAR WHAT I'M TELLING YOU. JESUS HAD TO WALK PAST THE SHEEP THAT DIDN'T NEED HEALING. THE SHEEP THAT HAD NO BLEMISH. AND HE SAID, "WAIT A MINUTE, GENTLEMEN. I'VE GOT TO LEAVE THE 99 AND I GOT THERE'S ONE SHEEP THAT'S BY THE WATER. THERE'S SOMEBODY BY THE POOL THAT NEEDS HE SAID, "LISTEN, I DIDN'T COME FOR THE PERFECT PEOPLE. I CAME FOR THE SHEEP THAT HAD BRUISES., I CAME FOR THE SHEEP THAT HAD HURT. I CAME OH, I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD HEAR. HEY, HE SAID, "LISTEN, GENTLEMEN, Y'ALL HANG TIGHT FOR THE SACRIFICE.", BUT I'VE GOT ONE THAT NEEDS MY HAND MORE THAN ANYTHING. I WISH THE IMPERFECT SHEEP IN THE ROOM WOULD SAY, "GOD, THAT'S ME., CAN YOU COME RESCUE ME?, CAN YOU COME PICK ME UP? COME ON, SOMEBODY OUGHT TO BE WORSHIPING RIGHT NOW. COME ON, SOMEBODY OUGHT TO BE WORSHIPING., HE CAME FOR THE ONE. HE CAME FOR THE ONE. HEY, I DON'T KNOW WHO I'M PREACHING TO., BUT GOD'S TALKING TO YOU., IT AIN'T FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR., IT AIN'T FOR YOUR FRIEND. IT AIN'T FOR YOUR FAMILY. I'M THE SHEEP. HE'S LOOKING. Come on, somebody worship. THERE'S A STIRRING. COME ON, YOU GOT TO STEP INTO THE STIRRING., HEY PREACHER, THAT WORD'S FOR ME., I'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH IT FOR 38 YEARS., I'VE BEEN BATTLING FOR 10 WEEKS. I'VE BEEN SOMETHING STIRRING RIGHT NOW. COME ON. I'M PREACHING TO PEOPLE THAT YOU'RE TRYING TO FIND YOUR WAY. GOD, I NEED A WORD. I NEED DIRECTION. I NEED STRENGTH. GOD'S COMING FOR YOU. Come on, SOMEBODY WORSHIP HIM. I WONDER I WONDER WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE WHEN A LAMB HAS A BROKE LEG. I WONDER WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE WHEN A SHEEP HAS SOMEBODY LIFT UP YOUR VOICE. LET THEM KNOW JESUS, I'M OVER HERE. I'M LIMPING. I CAN'T WALK RIGHT. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND HELP. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND STRENGTH. Come on. Come on. Lift up your voice. Come on. LET THE SHEPHERD KNOW I NEED YOU. Come on. The Holy Ghost is moving right now. COME ON. THAT LAMB WITH THE BRUISED LEG, HE'S JUST WAITING FOR THE SHEPHERD TO PICK HIM UP. I HAVE NOBODY TO PUT ME IN THE WATER. I HAVE NOBODY TO HELP MY MIND. I HAVE NOBODY.
So this man was not just a man. He was a lost sheep of the children of Israel that everybody else forgot about. Oh God, I'm telling the Holy Ghost is ministering to me right now. The lamb that had no friends. The lamb that had Listen, at least blind Barameus had somebody next to him telling him to be quiet. They weren't good friends, but at least he had some. He said, "Sir, I don't have nobody." Anybody ever felt lonely before? I want to be healed, but I don't have nobody. And the living water walks by the edge of that pool. And the Bible says Jesus knew. He knew. The one that knows all. He knew that he had been in that case alone. I want to know how long has it been that you're in where you are? If it's been a long time, that means the preacher is preaching. I'm here for somebody's soul to be saved this morning. Come on. Anybody know we need salvation? Come on. Anybody know there's house there's a house of mercy where salvation begins to flow. Come on. Come on. There's a stir that happens in the water. There there's a washing that happens in the water. come on. Something happens WHEN YOU CAN GET IN THE WATERS OF THE SPIRIT., WHEN YOU CAN FIND THE WATERS THAT HEAL,, WHEN YOU CAN FIND THE WATERS THAT SAVE., WHEN YOU CAN FIND I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD FIND THE WATERS THIS MORNING., HEY, THIS AIN'T JUST CHURCH., THIS IS THE HOUSE OF MERCY. I know. I know. I didn't I didn't ask the media team. Aren't they doing an incredible job trying to follow this preacher? I know I didn't ask him to do this part, but I I just feel I just feel to do this right now. Can Can you show Can you show the baptismal waters on the screen? Can you do that? Is that possible? Just to just to set the image of this the baptis like the actual baptismal waters like the what we do after service if we can do that. Is it on? Maybe. So, maybe not. It's coming. I'm trying to get you to see that something happened supernaturally. There it is. You see them steps down into that water. He said, "Whosoever stepped in first was made whole." That's not a detail you got to glaze over right there because there's a difference between healing and being made whole. WHEN JESUS HEALED, HE HEALED ONE AND HE SAID AND THE AND THE PHARISEES WERE UPSET AND JESUS SAID, "WAIT A MINUTE. NO, COME BACK." He said, "I ain't just going to heal you." He said, "Hey, your sins be forgiven you." And then they really got mad because God's more interested in you being made being made whole than just healing you. WHAT GOOD WOULD IT BE FOR GOD TO HEAL you of cancer and you not make it to heaven? Come on. IF YOU GOT TO BE SICK AND BODY, HE SAID, "I WOULD RATHER YOU PLUCK YOUR EYE OUT AND MAKE IT TO HEAVEN WITH ONE EYE. I WOULD RATHER YOU CUT YOUR HAND OFF AND MAKE IT TO HEAVEN WITH ONE HAND THAN BE HEALED AND NOT MAKE HEAVEN. CAN I TELL YOU HEAVEN IS STILL THE GOAL? SEEING THE SAVIOR IS STILL, HEY, I WANT TO SEE THE GOOD SHEPHERD., I WANT TO SIT BY THE POOL OF LIVING WATERS., I WANT TO I WANT TO SIT AT THE FEET. I SEE A FEW PEOPLE STANDING. I THINK I WONDER ABOUT THE REST OF YOU IF YOU STILL WANT TO SHOW UP TO CHURCH., BECAUSE IT AIN'T ABOUT CHURCH., IT'S ABOUT HEAVEN. Believe it or not, being made whole is about heaven. I want I want to be healed in body, in mind, and in my soul. Come on. There was a time that the saints ought to preach with the preacher. Come on. I hope we have a congregation and a multitude of people that said, "Preacher, I was blind." I'm I'm going to go to this side. Hold on, preacher. I think you're talking TO ME., I WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE.,
I COULDN'T WALK., BUT NOW I'M HEALED., I WAS MANGLED AND HALTED AND WITHERED., AND THE SAVIOR SHOWED UP. HE SHOWED UP AT THE POOL FOR ME. I'll tell you, I'm done preaching. I'm I'm I'm right here. Come quickly to the piano. That's how you know I'm done. Those waters, somebody shout the waters. Those waters are always available. But whosoever will be healed by the waters have to make the effort to get in the waters. Listen, I I I've been I'm a young preacher and I know I'm young and I I've probably been doing this long enough to see a few things. And I know that there are times that the spirit of God is moving on people and pulling them TO THE POOL. TRYING TO SAVE THEM, TRYING TO RESCUE THEM, TRYING TO HEAL THEM, TRYING TO RESTORE THEM. BUT WHEN JESUS PULLS, YOU STILL HAVE TO STEP. You still have to step. Somebody shout step. The preacher can preach a good sermon, but I can't make you. I can't force you. I can't push you into the pool. What are you preaching about, preacher? I'll tell you right now. You see those waters? You see those steps? Those stirring, the stirring of the waters is the stirring of salvation. Now, I'm about to tell you some things that you probably never heard. And if I I would not be a preacher worth my salt if I didn't tell you what the Bible says. Are we okay with using the Bible in this matter? I don't want to be one of them preachers that give you a whole bunch of sermons with no scriptures. And so I'VE GOT FIVE. SOMEBODY SHOUT FIVE. There's five reasons why we need to step into the st. And there's some people you've already you've already you've already been washed by the blood. You've ever you've already stepped into the pool. God has already made you whole. But I want to minister. I want to minister. I want the hand in the voice of God to lead somebody to the waters this morning. Everybody that all the kids are gone. So, I believe that everybody can read what that screen says. There are five different biblical reasons why we need to get in the water. I'm going start at the at the bottom. I messed up the order. Media team, I'm sorry. The Bible says in John 3 and:5, "Except a man or woman be born again of the water," somebody shout the water. Come on, shout it again. Shout the water. EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN AGAIN OF THE water and the spirit. He cannot see. Blind man, he cannot see the kingdom. You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven except you step into the stirring. Now I I just want us to see I want us to see what God is stirring this morning. Acts 2 and38. Everybody see it at the bottom. EVERYBODY WANTS TO KNOW. IN FACT, LET'S START AT MARK 16 and 16. He that believeth. Any believers in the room? Come on. Any believer? I believe HE'S THE GOOD SHEPHERD. I BELIEVE HE'S THE HE'S THE GOD ALMIGHTY MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH. I BELIEVE HE'S A HEALER. I BELIEVE HE'S A SAVIOR. ANYBODY BELIEVE, he said, he that believeth and is baptized. Are we still reading the book? Listen, if if you don't trust this screen, just just crack open your Bible. It's in there. I promise you. Listen, he that believeth and is baptized shall be
saved. One of the reasons, one of the reasons why we must step into the pool when it's stirred is because if you really want salvation, salvation is saturated by the stirring of the waters. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, and he that believeth not shall be damned. Which means that you want to see heaven, you've got to get in the waters. Except the man be born again of the water and the spirit. The water. The water. Anybody want salvation in the Why? Why do we need salvation? I'll tell you why. Because with sin, that's a real dirty word, literally. With sin staining our soul, God is so holy that the only way we can make it into the presence of his throne is what? Without sin. The lamb has to be unspotted, no blemish. Which means that if we are full of impetuses and imper imperfections in our soul, we have to remove them to see the great shepherd. How do we remove them? Acts 2 and 38 says repent. Somebody said, tell God you're sorry. But it's not just saying you're sorry. Anybody ever got in an argument with somebody and they said they were sorry and you knew you knew they didn't mean it? I'm sorry. Come on, y'all. Tell the truth. They didn't mean one lick of it. They was planning on doing it the next day. No. Repentance is saying, "God, I haven't been the man that I should be. I haven't been the woman that I should be. And I've got to remove this this staining on my soul. How do you do that? You've got to be washed in the waters. He said, "AND BE BAPTIZED." LISTEN, EVERYBODY AT THE POOL WANTED TO BE HEALED. There wasn't one PERSON THERE THAT DIDN'T NEED THE WATERS. HE SAID, "BE BAPTIZED, EVERY ONE OF YOU, FROM THE FRONT TO THE BALCONY. every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved except that great name. I wish somebody was thankful for it and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, the evidence of speaking in tongues like the Bible says. You say, "Well, preacher, are you telling me that baptism can wash away my sins?" You better believe it can. The remission is the removal. Is this in the Bible or not? The removal of your sins is is when you step into the pool. Now, you know what I like about the Bible? It's got every last one of us covered. Some people like me, I know I ain't no good without God. I said, I know I'm no good without God. But there are some really good people in this room. Precious souls, precious people. We've met Kevin. I don't know his background. He is every time he's seen us, he's he's got a smile. He's he's kind. And there are good people in this world. Do good people need baptism? Do you know that John the Baptist tried to forbid Jesus to be baptized? Oh, some of y'all didn't know Jesus was baptized. Well,
if Jesus was baptized, somebody said, "If baptism is for the removal of sins, then why was Jesus baptized?" I'm glad you asked. This is a different reason. He that was without sin knew no sin. Jesus was not baptized to remove sin for all the sinless people in the house. That was a joke. Jesus was baptized. Watch this. Matthew 3 and 14. AND JOHN FORBID HIM, SAYING, "I HAVE NEED TO BAPTIZE OF THEE. I WANT YOU TO BAPTIZE ME. YOU ARE THE LIVING WATER. WHAT DO I NEED TO BAPTIZE you for? And Jesus answered and said, "Suffer it to be." So now I need you to baptize me right now. Jesus, what do you need to be baptized for? You don't sin. You've never sinned. You never hurt. You've never lied. You've never stolen. You've never Am I minister? Is God ministering anybody? Why? He said, "FOR THUS IT BECOMETH US TO FULFILL all righteousness. IF WE WANT TO BE RIGHTEOUS, EVEN IF WE'VE NEVER SINNED, NOT ONE TIME HAVE WE SINNED, THE WATERS ARE STILL NECESSARY TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. I WANT TO BE HOLY. I WANT TO PLEASE GOD. I WANT GOD TO BE PLEASED WITH ME. AND I NEED TO STEP INTO THE STORY. Anybody want to be righteous? COME ON. I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT JUST BEING A PHILANTHROPIST. I'M TALKING ABOUT BEING RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY AND PLEASING TO THE LIVING GOD THE LIVING WATERS THAT SAVE THE SOULS OF PEOPLE. We're baptized for salvation. Somebody shout salvation. Boy, I wish somebody had a notepad out right now. This is good Bible study material. We're baptized for the removal of sins. Anybody need need some sins washing? Come on. It doesn't matter if you have a felony record. Those felonies are not on your soul. They might can stay in the record books in the district office, but with the hand of God washing and WIPING AND BLOTTING OUT EVERY TRANSGRESSIONS. WHEN YOU GET IN THE POOL, THEY DON'T FOLLOW YOU ANYMORE. WHEN YOU GET IN THE WATERSH YOU ANYMORE. We're baptized for salvation. We're baptized to remove our sins. We're baptized to fulfill all righteousness. Anybody's counting? We got two more. Listen, if if five reasons are not a good enough reason to get in the water, maybe I should have studied a whole lot harder. But I got two more for you. The Bible declares in Colossians 3:17, "And whatsoever, whosoever and whatsoever ye do in word or deed." The reason why we go down in the name of Jesus is because it is a biblical command that everything we do he said if you give a cup of water in my name you are being a pleasing servant unto me. He said IF YOU'RE GOING TO FIND RIGHTEOUSNESS YOU GOT TO GO DOWN IN MY NAME YOU GOT TO BEAR WITH ME IN BAPTISM. YOU'VE GOT TO GO DOWN IN THE NAME YOU GOT TO COME UP IN THE NAME AND THAT'S HOW YOU'RE MADE WHOLE. BAPTISM. Somebody shout, "Baptism." Baptism is a deed. It's something we do. Boy, I hope somebody hear me right now. Are you saying, preacher, that you've got to do something to be saved? Unfortunately, we can't just live life and walk around and just believe that we're good enough to get in. You have to do something. You We They You mean to tell me they couldn't just lay there on those steps and be healed? They had to step into the waters. Now, I'm almost done. You know, I'm almost done. I'm on number four. Some of us as we stand to our feet right now, I'm closing.
Some of us don't know if we need the waters or not. You're not sure about it. I mean, the scriptures are there and we can still not be sure about it. I'm Is is is this all right if we just talking this morning? I'm talking about from the front row to the balcony. If you have not been baptized yet, I want you to hear me. When you go to bed at night, when we go to bed at night, when we lay our head, are are you 100% sure that you've lived your life in a way to fulfill all righteousness? Do you know for sure you've been obedient to the word of God? Every command including including baptism is a command. It is a deed to be obeyed by the one that has an impetacy. One of the best reasons if it's not for the removal of your sins because I know we all have s man. I g say that again. Hold on. I know we all have sin. And because we have sin, our conscience can become stained with the guilt of the stuff we've done. Anybody ever felt guilty for doing wrong? Yeah. How do I know that when I pull out of this parking lot on Fourth Street, if I was in a head-on collision, how do I know assuredly unless my conscience is clear? The Bible says in 1 Peter 3:1, everybody can see it at the top. the light figure where unto even baptism. Somebody shout baptism. Baptism. I'm going TO READ THIS REAL SLOW. BAPTISM DO IT ALSO. NOW save us. Baptism will save your soul. Not just the putting away of the flesh, not just for the removal of your sins. Can I tell you what's beautiful about baptism? I've seen so many people that have a past so dark, a life so so riddled with the remnants of stuff, broken people, broken past, broken relationships, messed up, marred, A TRAIL OF STUFF FOLLOWING THEM. LISTEN, IF ANYBODY'S GOT SOMETHING TRAILING YOU AND YOU SAYING, "I WISH IT WOULD LEAVE ME AROUND ALONE." I'm telling you, my friend, when you step into THE STIRRING,, GOD WILL TAKE THAT SCENT, THAT TRAIL OF SIN,, AND HE'LL CUT IT OFF. HE'LL BLOCK IT OUT. HE'LL WASH IT AWAY. He'll give you a new mind. Somebody, the reason why you need to be baptized this morning, there's several of you here, is because you need your conscience clear. What's wrong with making sure? What's wrong with knowing for sure? What's wrong with saying, "God, I don't know if I've done everything right. I don't I don't know. I don't know if there's something left on my record, something still ON MY SOUL. I DON'T KNOW. I your conscience can be made clear this morning and God can give you a peace and knowing son. You can rise up, take up your bed, and from this day forward, you can walk with me in a life you've never walked in. Anybody want to walk with God like you've never walked with him? Come on. Come on, somebody lift up your voice if you want a new walk with God. Come on. Come on. I'm not just talking to the visitor. I'm preaching to some people. YOU'VE GOT STUFF IN YOUR MIND THAT YOU NEED HEALING. YOU'VE GOT STUFF IN YOUR PAST YOU NEED REMEDIATION. YOU'VE GOT STUFF IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU NEED HELP WITH. AND I COME TO TELL YOU, THERE'S A GOD IF YOU CAN STEP
INTO THE STIRRING. You can step into the stirring, there's healing of the waters. I want us to close our eyes right now. It's 11:44. We're going to pray. There's people online watching this sermon right now. I pray that God will speak to you and the next time you're in church, I pray you get in those waters. Don't leave it up to chance. If there's some healing you need in your life, if there's some healing you need in your world, I'm talking about physical healing. I'm talking about spiritual healing. I'm talking about you got stuff in your mind. Your your conscience is so weighed in and turmoil with the thoughts of torment of who you've been and what you've done and who you've hurt and who you've got over in your life. I'm telling you right now, there's a stirring in the spirit. There's a stirring that happens in the spirit when we come into the presence of God and we lift up our hands and say, "God, I'm just looking for a shepherd to mend my brokenness." I want us all across the house from the front to the back to lift up your hands as high as you can lift them. With one voice, I want you to lift up your voice out loud. Come on, open up your mouth. Come on. Let God know if there's if there's any hurting sheep in the room. I I don't know what you've been through in your life. I DON'T I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY YEARS YOU'VE BATTLED DEPRESSION AND HOW MANY YEARS YOU'VE BATTLED SUICIDE AND HOW LONG YOU'VE BATTLED WITH YOUR SICKNESS AND THE INFIRMITIES IN YOUR BODY. BUT I PROMISE YOU IF YOU LIFT UP YOUR VOICE RIGHT NOW THERE'S A STIRRING THAT CAN HAPPEN AND THE ATMOSPHERE. COME ON, LIFT UP YOUR VOICE. GO. Come on, lift up your voice. I NEED I NEED SOME I I NEED SOME PRAYER WARRIORS TO LIFT UP your voice right now. THERE'S SOME HURTING SHEEP IN THE HOUSE. THERE'S SOME MANGLED LAMBS IN THE ROOM. THERE'S SOME BROKEN AND BLEMISHED IN THE HOUSE. COME ON. THE WATERS ARE WAITING FOR YOU. Come on. THERE'S NO HURT THAT GOD CAN'T HEAL. COME ON. THERE'S NO BROKENNESS. COME ON. I WANT YOU TO LIFT YOUR HANDS AND PRAY EARNESTLY. COME ON. FROM YOUR HEART. COME ON. EVERYTHING THAT'S TROUBLING YOU CAN BE TROUBLED IN THE WATERS. Come on. Come on. Come on. PRAY A LITTLE BIT LONGER. THE ANGEL OF THE LORD IS STEPPING down the house. Come on. REACH UP FOR GOD LIKE YOU REALLY NEED A HER A HAND OF HELP. COME ON. REACH UP FOR THE SAVIOR LIKE YOU NEED SOMEBODY TO HOLD YOU. Oh God. Come on, somebody lift up your voice. Come on. Something stirring. I want us to pray right now until the Holy Ghost begins to move in the house. Come on. I want you to connect with your neighbor right now. Come on. I want you to connect with somebody. COME ON. YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE AT THE POOL THAT NEEDS A GOD. YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE AT THE WATERS THAT NEEDS A SAVIOR. COME ON. WE NEED HEALING. WE NEED STRENGTH. COME ON. WE NEED THE HAND OF THE SHEPHERD. Come on, connect with your neighbor right now and pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray in the name of Jesus. Heaven, come on. There's some YOUNG PEOPLE, YOU'RE BATTLING SO MUCH STUFF THAT YOUR PARENTS DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT. YOU'RE WARING WITH SO MUCH STUFF. YOU YOU'RE ASHAMED TO TELL ANYBODY ABOUT IT. BUT I JUST WANT TO KNOW, WILL THOU BE MADE WHOLE? DO YOU believe that God can help you right now? That's it. Come on. Come on. I want you to pray with your neighbor. Come on. Come on. This is step one. I need you to connect with SOMEBODY WHERE IT'S APPROPRIATE. I want you to pray. PRAY THAT THE HAND of strength will get a hold of them. Come on. If you got the Holy Ghost, I want you praying until the spirit begins to stir. Jesus. Jesus. Come on. Come on. I know you're taking pills to go to sleep. you haven't HAD A GOOD NIGHT'S REST IN YEARS. but I come to tell you the ONE THAT CAN THAT MY GOD, I feel the Holy Ghost. THE ONE THAT CAN GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND. HE'S IN THE ROOM. Come on. Pray. Pray. Pray. Come on. Come on. I want you to dig deep. Come on. How bad? How bad? How bad is the hurt? How bad? HOW BAD IS THE PAIN? COME ON. CAN YOU SEE WHERE YOU'RE GOING? CAN YOU SEE THE TRUTH? IT'S IN THE BOOK.
Come on. THIS AIN'T JUST ABOUT BAPTISM. I'M TALKING ABOUT YOUR SOUL AND YOUR FAMILY BEING RESTORED. Come on, somebody you're next to, they're going through it right now. They need they need a shepherd to pick them up right now. I don't I want you to hear I don't want anybody to feel force
