Let It Go

i have felt his presence for the last three days concerning a simple word that we're going to give you today and i really feel in my spirit that if somebody would take this word to heart that god is going to break some change and he's going to set some things free in your life he said it and so i believe it he said it oh hallelujah why don't you reach out to him right now would you do so that thing you're going to if you hadn't learned this about the dan by now you will you will learn this i'm very careful about where i tread i'm very careful about the words that i use but when i feel something strong in the spirit and i know that it's a film i do feel things change i feel things change so why don't you ask the lord for the next minute or so god whatever it is that i need to receive today i open my spirit up right now would you do that in the name of jesus my mind my heart my soul god my mind my heart and my soul god in the name of jesus hallelujah hallelujah in the name of jesus how many you can say you're blessed today you're blessed god has blessed you he has provided for you he's given you everything that you need he's blessed you exceedingly abundantly above all you would even ask or think whether you know that or not you're blessed like that just a couple of days ago i was speaking to she won't mind me saying this i was speaking to my niece on the on the phone coming home from work she calls uncle danny whenever she has to be reassured and confirmed and she's a prayer warrior but i began to share with her some things and spirit began to flow in that car and i i'm in busy traffic and i'm like god help me you got to take over this car but as i began to share with her some things god began to speak more and more clearly the direction of this service and we were talking about david and made comments about david's life and if you if you know by now i'm a david fan even though he wasn't all good in everything he did but as far as characters of the bible i am a david fan because because david knew how to get get a hold of god he knew that when he had messed up he knew where he could turn to and he was quick to say hey god if you can scratch that but david said this in 103. psalms 103 is full of david and we would consider it a shouting time but the truth was it wasn't david in 103 starts out with bless the lord o my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name bless the lord o my soul and forget not all of his benefits david david knew that there was benefit in serving god as a matter of fact david he begins to talk to god about some of those benefits and he says who forgiveth all my iniquities who healeth all my diseases who redeemeth the life from destruction who crowneth me with love and kindness and tender mercy i'm going to stop right there because i think you get the picture that david is he is rejoicing in the lord i'm going to try to deliver something to you and i've never really spoke on this before and i've done traces through the bible over the years through bible school and things like that but this one here really got a hold of me why don't you lift your hands right now and i want you just to ask the lord for the next few moments that he would speak that word into you in the name of jesus across this building i know in every ear that is in this room right now in the name of jesus anoint them to hear your word anoint them lord to understand what you're saying to them and i ask god for the next few minutes that you do the work that you only do it's nothing that we can do but it's what you can do through us in the name of jesus in the name of jesus and everyone say in jesus name say it again in jesus name god bless you please don't lose what you've got right now you may be seated we find david at this particular point and again i go back to the fact that we are truly blessed and david understands that he is a blessed man he understands that he's got it better and we we heard uh just prior to me coming up here we heard about how we're blessed and how that we are blessed in america to have what we have and how we're blessed across this facility and what god is doing in in cac's life we are truly blessed and we've got what god has blessed us with we find david here saying bless the lord o my soul and all that is within me bless his holy name david writes the psalm and if many of you understand the writings of david we find all of these that are numbered these these psalms he'll he'll start out with psalms 1. talking about blessed is the man and it goes on and throughout the psalms we find these and they are they are set with some order but the truth is these were compiled later on from things that david was experiencing and if we look at them chrono chronologically we see where david was at this particular time we can find that david is not in the best of shape as a matter of fact psalms 103 david is right in the midst of his trial in 2nd samuel 12. how many of you just in your mind can think about what happens in second samuel 12. david has sin in his heart nathanael has called david out so to speak nathanael has has approached david about his sin and he gives him this parable and david's looking for the man that he's talking about and samuel the prophet says you are that man and because of your sin david all of this is going to hit your household because of what you have done this is going to impact your house so we find david at this particular point he's got a son that has been born to a lady that belonged to somebody else now mind you he's got sin there is sin in his life and in his household and you say but how can he be writing what he's writing well it's because of what we see take place david in ii samuel 12 verse 19 we find that david he is laying in the middle of the floor so to speak he's laying out before god and he's saying because the firstborn that he has he this lady has given birth to she is god's already said he's dead he's dying god's going to take him why because of his sin and david is trying to ask the lord he says god spare this boy god i pray that you will spare my son spare his life and david is he's laying on the floor and he is seeking with all his heart saying god can you please help me in verse 20 of second samuel 12 we find that the servants has come into the room in chapter and verse verse 19 and they've said and and david sees the expression on their face and david says is the lad dead david turns around and when they say the lad is dead verse 20 david arises from the earth he washes and anoints himself changes his appearance his clothing comes into the house of god and he worships i'm not very not very comfortable talking about this today but i feel this in my spirit there there comes a point in our lives where even the things that we have lost along the way sometimes we've got to drop them let them go stand up and it's time to go to church it's time for us to lay aside the things that understand this there are things that happens in life and we can say that life really is not fair right we can say that it is not fair but what we can say is i i trust god's character and i know that god knows what's best for me there are positions that god will put you in that you don't understand why he has done this and we look at it as just face value we look at it as something that has just happened and those things or what's happening right now but the truth is god is preparing you even for the next generation he's got things that he's wanting to do in your life but you strictly and simply got to let things go there are things that happen in david's life and if we look at and i challenge you to do this but every psalm that is there david has written it based on something that is going on in his life and we asked the question how is it david that you can say bless the lord o my soul and all that is within me and you have just had a a son that has died not speaking of the sin that is in your life because david was was very quick to repent he was very quick to say god forgive me forgive my actions and god spare this child's life but no it didn't happen that way and many of us would be really it would be one of those things we would go over in a corner somewhere and we'd sit down and we'd say i can't believe god didn't answer can't believe that god left me this way can't believe that this is going on in my life you don't know what god is doing right now for times to come you don't understand that god's hand and his vision is far much greater than what yours is right now all i see is i've got i've got sin in the camp and i've got death in the camp but david is looking at it and he says you know what i i know this and god's been so good to me yeah i've lost that one but god has been so good to me and no matter what goes on tomorrow no matter what i'm going to face when i leave this church building today god has been good bless the lord o my soul i come in here with a heavy weight today but bless the lord oh my soul i come in with things just weighing me down but i'm going to bless the lord anyway i'm going to lift him up anyway and what we don't realize is whenever we begin to worship him he steps in on the horizon he steps in behind the scenes and and we start feeling his presence like we're feeling right now god i see you i feel you i know you're there but what about the sin see we those are those things that happens in our life what about that sin what about those things that has happened along the way david if there would be a message that he would give us today he was saying you got you got to let it go you've got to let it go in luke 18 chapter verse 18 we find a certain certain ruler we've heard this story before many of you could could probably tell it real quick for me but i want us to look at it real quick a certain ruler he comes and he talks to the lord and he says good master what what is it that i need to do to be saved what is it that i need to do to inherit eternal life we're talking about somebody that understands everything that he's a business side man he's got all the business mind he knows what he he can he can make money he can do everything right jesus looks at him and says why why are you calling me good because he's trying to see where this guy's at but he says lord you're good because of who you are jesus looked at him and said why are you calling me good there's none good but one and that's god thou knowest the commandments and you can almost get a sense that jesus is just brushing him just just brushing he said thou shalt not commit adultery thou shalt not kill thou shall not steal thou shalt not bear fall witness honor your father and your mother and he looked at him he says i have i have done all this i've kept this all my life from my youth because these are the things that i was taught and i've done them jesus looks at him and says yet lack us thou one thing he approaches this man from the fact that this man had everything he needed let me tell you today as blessed as we are we've got a majority of us has got what we really need right got food in your refrigerator you've got everything you need as far as you've got the job you've got the ability to get to jobs here and there and you you've got all of that jesus tells this man he says you know what and this is in my terms you you love things too much where's my helpers at yeah says you love things too much you stand right over there and no i'm not going to drop you to grab that side pull on that for me y'all can step down there let's do that step down there y'all pull on it pull on says says you love things too much you've got it and what this man was looking for is he was looking for eternal life man you got to be pulling hard in that i know you can do that yeah boy but he's saying you you love you got these things in in life and you love them and you're asking me about eternal life you just don't have heaven you see this guy that's what he's looking for he's looking for he's looking for all of it let me get a hold of everything and god basically is telling us through the scripture here is you have got to be willing to give some things up you love it too much pull on it a little bit hold on all of the things that we've got everything that this world that we've got you've got the job you've got the ability to make those those finances happen you got all the connections you need let me ask you a question why are you here today you got everything that you need why are you here today you got why why have you came to church today you got it well this guy right here he's he's come to church too and he said jesus how am i going to get eternal life and jesus looks at him and says you're lacking one thing and what's that god what is it it says jesus is saying you got everything why why why do you need eternal life hmm he's wanting to make heaven brother cody he's wanting to make heaven and i i think that i could answer you today for you today you're wanting to make heaven aren't you in this building today if i was to ask every one of you individually you'd say i want to make heaven and you've got all of this at your fingertips you've got it but you're wanting to make heaven god got the job got everything i need but here's the thing it's wearing me out i got it but it's wearing me out why because i i need something else you see we we we search and search for the peace of god we search and search and you don't even have to ask add god in the picture people are searching for peace they they want something that that will just calm them down they're wanting something that will give them rest and they can't find it jesus says you're lacking one thing he said sell all that you have distribute it to the poor now he's not saying get rid of everything you got and just hit the street be homeless but this guy love remember he he loves everything he's got why do we know that is because the scripture in the next scripture talks about it that he was sorrowful he he felt so sorrowful after god after jesus had told him what to do with that he was sorrowful why because he loved this too much the word for today is i feel this in my spirit we have got to be willing to let it go just let it go when we let it go then god is able to do his part but see this man he walked away a broken man and i'm going to tell you something this morning or this afternoon it's one o'clock you can choose to walk away from here broken or you can choose to walk away from here whole but it all comes down to this right here what what are you willing to do thank you guys what are you willing what are you going to do are you just are you just going to hang on yeah but you just you don't understand the day we're living in i understand i totally get it and as god began to pour this out on my spirit i i understood it more and more and it's clear in my head i work six days a week 10 to 12 hours a day i understand that but there's one thing that i've made up in my mind is god i i you you can take this whole world take it i'm i'm looking for a better day i'm looking for a mansion that builder in maker is god not me not man not something that some rich man has built somewhere but i'm looking for something over on the other side i i've got i know he's got a mansion waiting for us but you know what that don't even appease me but sam you know what what what attracts me about it is the fact that i'm going to be able as the old song says look upon his face there to sing forever of his amazing grace god i thank you for what you've done in my life i thank you for what you're doing in my life i thank you for what you're doing in the ones around me does that mean that everything's okay no david david was clear as could be right here bless the lord oh my soul he's in the middle of a trial he's in the middle of sin in the camp he's in the middle of some things going on in his life that would would probably shock us all if we read the story correct no he's saying god i gotta get right with you i i i got to get right with you i god forgive me forgive me of my sins forgive me of the things that are around me i want you to stand to your feet right now and i i don't again i don't want you to think that we're we're quitting right here we're not but but i really feel like that god is wanting somebody to let go of some things this morning this afternoon he's wanting somebody to let go of some things there is some things and you know what it is i can't name it god didn't reveal that to me when i was coming down the highway on amacola highway at four o'clock oh my goodness it wasn't revealed to me but what i do know is he was saying there's somebody that needs to let go of some things today somebody needs to let go of some things there are there are some things that you've been hanging on to and i don't mean to step on toes maybe it's some people that you need to let go of maybe it's some things some things that's been in the in the shadows for a while that nobody else knows about no i'm not calling you out today but you need to let them go you need to let them go let go of it turn it loose and let it go it's your choice today you're gonna either walk out of here free are you gonna walk out of here still hanging on to those things that bind you those things that you have you have managed to accumulate yeah i repeat that accumulate you've allowed those things to accumulate in your life let me tell you something god's very strong right now he's speaking a word right now listen you have got to let go today the prophet came to david he's king you know david was king and david could have said hey get rid of this guy but david loved god so much he listened to the man of god yeah he's calling me out and david said i accept that i wish there was something that could change and be done different i accept it but the scripture that we read from ii samuel david arose from the earth he made up in his mind that he was going to let go he got up from where he was washed his face anointed himself i'm pretty sure it was probably some kind of ointment to make him smell better changed his clothes because he had been laying there most of the time they would mourn and sackcloth ashes changed his clothes told his servants time to go to church and he didn't go to church to say what was me he did not go to church to say well i've got to live with this one no david went to talk about the goodness of god old song we used to say when i think of the goodness of jesus all he's done for me my soul cries out hallelujah i'm thankful for his saving grace i'm thankful that he puts that little feeling inside of me and says you know you shouldn't have done that thank you lord thankful god that you let me know that that i was stepping the wrong way there this afternoon you make that choice you make that choice today you bow your heads and close your eyes across this building and i know our cameras is not going to pat they're not going to pan the crowd right now if you would don't pan the crowd but i'm going to ask you a very simple question in this room you're saying brother gibson i've got some things i'm holding on to i need some prayer today i need to release some things please don't pan the crowd right now slip your hand up would you thank you sometimes it's hard to let go because the truth is the longer i hang on to something the harder it is to let it go you ever tried it try it sometimes when you've got a grip on something and you're trying to hang on to it and you hang on to it too long your joints they freeze up can't let it go god help us today god help me to release it here to tell you today don't hang on too long would you don't hang on too long with all hands lifted up would you lift your hands now across this building and i want us to talk to the lord maybe you feel today that it's the time it's the right time for me to turn loose to some things it's the right time for me to get rid of some things i want you to make your way to this front i want you to know there is no shame here today none there was anybody that could show shame it was david but he said i'm coming to worship you today god i'm going to come and i'm going to worship you today bless the lord oh my them it's trying to it's time to let go of those things let it go let go of those things that behind you those things that are holding you down in the name of jesus hallelujah in the name of jesus life right now and they don't know what to do gotta pray right now that they understand that there are some things that's holding them back from receiving what you have for them give us the strength can't let this go right now this moment i can't let it go i don't know if anybody's ever had a hold of something and it was moving real real fast as a kid i know we'd pull each other behind four-wheelers and all kinds of crazy stuff would go on but once you get a hold of something in there it's moving very fast monty you know this from a bicycle if it's moving it's hard to let it go if it's moving fast just it's hard to let go of it and i want you to understand this world is getting faster it's moving faster the everything we're doing we're living in a fast world and if you think that you're saying okay i'll wait a little while and then i'll let it go the faster it goes it's harder to let go of it it's harder to let go of it as a matter of fact sometimes we get entangled with it the bible talks about that being entangled with it we get entangled with it and we can't we can't seem to and that's what the devil wants is he wants us to see i want to hold on to it a little tighter so i'm going to wrap it around i saw that i saw that one that was standing right here i told him to pull he wasn't pulling like this he did like this and we get entangled with it now it's even more it's hard for me to get loose of this you say well it's going to be okay and i'm going i'm going to be okay i still got control of this it's not long until we do and you think that you're in control i hate to burst your bubble today but you're not it's got you why you can let it go lift your hands once again in the name of jesus thank you for your word today god i thank you for what you have delivered to me god god i've done my best to deliver it to your people i ask god let this rest upon their ears and their hearts sometime during the week that it continues to rest upon them we ask for your help god and the endeavors that we have for this world today ask for your strength your power anoint each and every one of these that are here today and those that are watching online anoint them god that we be followers and ever doing what you've asked us to do in the name of jesus bless you today god bless you may he keep you shine favor upon you today jesus name
