Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The Text: The Place of Sacrifice Is the Place of Provision
- He tells how the Lord had given him this word before he even came to town — 'surrendering my way into His provision' — and how on Friday night the same things began to be spoken, until the pastor told him, well, go ahead and preach it.
- He reads the text, Genesis 22:1-4: God did tempt Abraham — 'take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah and offer him there for a burnt offering'; Abraham rose up early, saddled his ass, took two of his young men and Isaac his son, claved the wood for the burnt offering, and on the third day lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off.
- He did not realize in that moment that the place of his sacrifice would also be the place of his provision: the way in which we will enter into the supernatural provision of God is by surrender.
Scriptures: Genesis 22:1-4
Twenty-Five Years of Patience
- In Genesis 12 the word of the Lord came to Abraham and called him out, promising in that covenant call: I will bless you, and bless them that bless you; I will make your name great and multiply you — but with every prophecy, patience is required, and he could not have fathomed it would take 25 years before it would come to pass.
- In Genesis 15 the word of the Lord is expounded upon: the son he desired would in fact come through his own body. In Genesis 16 we see the price of impatience: Ishmael is born — he carries the DNA of Abraham, but he is not the covenant son; he is the product of impatience.
- In Genesis 17 God changes their names — Abraham, and Sarah who will be the mother of nations — naming them based on their promise and not their past; Abraham falls on his face and laughs: will a child be born to a man who is 100 years old?
- One chapter later, in Genesis 18, the prophetic word comes: I will return at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son; Sarah, standing in the doorway nearby, hears the word and laughs within herself, as her season has passed — but surrender is a timeless and eternal principle that allows you to transcend the seasons of human limitation.

Surrender on Moriah
- And finally, after 25 long years, just as the prophetic word said in Genesis 18, Isaac was born; God is not a man that he should lie — if he said it, he will do it. But the greatest test would not be in his patience; it would be in his sacrifice.
- In Genesis 22 and beginning in verse 11, the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven — Abraham, Abraham; here am I — 'lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do anything unto him, for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me'; and Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a ram was caught in the thicket by his horns, and he offered it in the stead of his son, and called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider.
- The Lord really did not need Isaac; he just needed the heart of Abraham, and he tested the allegiance of his heart by asking for the thing that was most valuable. And in verses 15 to 18 the angel echoes the prophetic utterance of Genesis chapter 12: his surrender on Moriah brought him into position to receive the fulfillment of the prophecy spoken so many years prior — he surrendered his way into the fulfillment of prophecy.
- Submission is not some optional after-salvation experience for those who want to be used of God; submission is the very basis of our relationship with the Lord, and the avenue through which God's power and God's authority and God's prophecies come to pass.
Scriptures: Genesis 22:11-13; Genesis 22:15-18
You Cannot Serve God and Mammon
- The Bible said in Matthew 6 and 24: no man can serve two masters — he will hate the one and love the other, or hold to the one and despise the other; you cannot serve God and mammon. Mammon means riches or treasure, but it comes from an old Chaldean word, from the land that Abraham had come out of, and it means confidence.
- We allow our confidence to be derived by what we have, what we own, the balance of our bank account; but you cannot allow your confidence to come from what you have, but who you trust in. You can be bound up by mammon with lots of money, and you can be bound up by mammon with no money: it is the mentality we have towards the treasure in our hands, or the lack of treasure in our hands, that opens the channel or closes the channel of God's blessing — so open up your hand, and trust him with everything he has given you.
- He quotes the storehouse promise: prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it — and I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, because God did not really need my money anyway. And if you get a blessing you do not have room for, the answer is not a bigger room: the reason he is giving you more than you have room for is so you can put it back into the kingdom.
- He tells of a man in their church, very blessed of the Lord: almost 25 years ago the pastor sat with him at a diner, wrote a figure on a napkin, and slid it across the table — $100,000, what he would make next year if he would do what he was told; the man opened up his hand to the kingdom, became a channel of continual blessing for the past two decades, and now his kids and son-in-laws and grandkids are opening up their hands, becoming entrepreneurs and investing in the kingdom of God.
Scriptures: Matthew 6:24
Two Dimensions of Provision
- He tells his own house's story: in the middle of March in 2022, on his way to preach a district youth convention, he changed his ticket and flew in unannounced for the groundbreaking Sunday; in his private place of prayer he went to the book of Genesis, to where ground began, and saw that the Bible speaks of two dimensions of moisture for the earth — the dew that was upon the face of the earth, upon the ground, and rain, water that was in the heavens, reserved, which God would not send forth because there was no man to till the ground.
- The Lord spoke to him: I have two dimensions of provision for my people — the dew is your 9 to 5, your 12 hour shift, your 40 or 50 hours a week, a measure of provision within the cycle of the earth; but the other dimension comes from the heavens, and I cannot send it until I have a man to till the ground — if my people will sacrifice, they will see my supernatural provision.
- The pastor pulled him in and asked him to prophesy it that Sunday morning, and they moved into a $15 million sanctuary in 18 months and burned the mortgage — that math does not work; when the people of God open up their hands, they surrender their way into a dimension of his provision that is not limited to your annual salary or your human comprehension. And the rise of spiritual influence in this body is leading into uncharted waters, where the math will not make sense: do not reduce God to what you can calculate.
Scriptures: Genesis (book-only)
Kingdom-Minded People
- He tells of a widow in her early to mid 70s who, through a family inheritance, became the owner of a property with two hundred and fifty thousand dollars of solid gold bars in it; Jesus standing by the offering plate commended that little widow, because he measures the sacrifice based on what's left, not what's given — but do not tell God you want this if, once he puts it in your hand, you are going to close your hand.
- He tells of a concrete contractor, a one man show who went from a mediocre job standing on the back of a trash truck to a seven figure company, who with his wife gives her whole income back to the church; millions and millions of dollars have passed through these hands — not into my pocket, but into the kingdom — because kingdom-minded people are not after the money, they are after the kingdom.
- He speaks it over men in the room: God's favor is on your life, doors are opening that no man can shut, and you are going to write a million dollar check to Calvary one of these days; God said to Israel he would give houses they did not build and fields they did not plant. And he tells of sitting in a closing office and personally writing an eight hundred fifty thousand dollar check, and the loan officer's disbelief: they trust me with their souls — what is money compared to souls?
- He ends by turning it back to the host — 'I'm turning it back to you, I just felt I had to say some of those things' — and the episode runs on past his segment in other voices, carried in the verbatim layer only.

Come on, clap your hands to the Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Yadabah, sah-tah-tah-tah-bo-kosh, shah-tah-tah-tah-haya. I don't want to labor long in the Word, but I do feel I have to speak this. So the musicians, you can stay close. That'll keep the pressure on so the preacher's not long. You may want to step aside. You stand there. I really want to try not to be long. Friday night, well, Pastor Harpo was speaking. He started speaking some things and I leaned over to Pastor and I said, Sunday night I intended to preach this. And I told him and he said, well, go ahead and preach it. I thought, well, it seems a little repetitive. But before I even came to town, the Lord told me on Sunday night I was going to preach to you, surrendering my way into His provision.
The Bible says in Genesis 22 and verse 1, it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham and said unto him, Abraham, and he said, behold, here I am. And he said, take now thy Son, thine only Son, Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning and saddled his ass and took two of his young men with him. Isaac his son and claved the wood for the burnt offering and rose up and went unto the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day, Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off. He did not realize in that moment that the place of his sacrifice would also be the place of his provision.
I come tonight to tell you and to tell this great church the way in which we will enter into the supernatural provision of God is by surrender. In Genesis chapter 12, you can stand and say, I really am not going to be long, but you may want to sit for a moment and give your feet a break. In Genesis chapter 12, the word of the Lord came to Abraham and called him out of the ear of the Caldees and God promised him in that covenant call. He said, I will bless you and I'll bless them that bless you. I will make your name great and I will multiply you. What Abraham did not realize in that moment was that with every prophecy, patience is required. He could not have fathomed at the moment of that prophetic utterance that it would take 25 years before it would come to pass.
In Genesis 15, the word of the Lord is expounded upon as God tells the patriarch that the air that he desires will in fact come through his own body. In Genesis chapter 16, we see the price of impatience. They take the handmade haggar and Ishmael is born. He carries the DNA of Abraham, but he is not the covenant son. He is the child or the product of impatience. In Genesis 17, amidst the ongoing story, God comes to Abraham and changes his name to Abraham. And Sarah becomes Sarah. The word of the Lord said she will be the mother of nations. They perhaps could not fathom it in that moment, but God was shaping their identity, naming them based on their promise and not their past. I'm struck though in Genesis 17 that Sarah laughs within herself. Even pardon me, in chapter 18, in chapter 17,
Abraham falls on his face. He laughs and says, will a child be born to a man who is 100 years old? One chapter later the prophetic word comes and said I will return at this time next year and Sarah will have a son. The Bible says she is standing in the doorway nearby. She hears the word of the Lord and she laughed within herself, just as her husband did a chapter prior. In her mind the season has passed. Though science was not then what it is now, they were well acquainted with human anatomy and the biological limitations of the human body. She knew her season was passed, but what they would soon find out was surrender, was a timeless and eternal principle that allows you to transcend the seasons of human limitation. My God, I've come tonight to tell you surrender is the way in which we will enter into the provision of God.
And finally after 25 long years, just as God had told them time and time again and just as the prophetic word said in Genesis 18, Isaac was born. God is not a man that he should lie. I've come to remind you good people tonight. If he said it, he will do it. Did Abraham know that the greatest test would not be in his patience, but it would be in his sacrifice? The word of the Lord came to him in our text and God said take now your son, your only son, Isaac. And I want you to bring him to Mount Moriah, to the land that I will show thee and offer him there as a burnt offering. And as one can only imagine, as a father who has waited so long for a son, who can fathom the thoughts and the emotions that run through the heart of the man,
but as the word of the Lord directed him, he obeyed. He gathers up his son in the elements for the sacrifice. They begin to make their way there to that place he sees afar off. He knows it to be the place of sacrifice. He does not yet know it to be the place of provision. But as he makes his way up the mountain and they build an altar and he lays his son upon the altar, the Bible would say in Genesis 22 and beginning in verse 11, the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham, he said, here am I. And the Lord spoke to him, lay not your hand upon the lad. Neither do anything unto him. For I know that you fear God seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked and behold
a ram was caught in the thicket by his horns. He takes the ram and offers it in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider. I come tonight with a simple revelation that I think you already know, but I feel an unction from God that it is necessary to speak it at this moment and in this season to remind you that the provision you need follows your surrender to the Lord. The Lord really didn't need Isaac. He just needed the heart of Abraham. But the way in which he would test the allegiance of his heart was by offering, asking for the offering of the thing that was most valuable. And if you carry on a little further in verse 22, you'd find in verses 15 to 18 that the angel of the Lord echoes the prophetic utterance
of Genesis chapter 12. Little did he know that his surrender on Moriah that day would actually bring him into position to receive the fulfillment of the prophecy that had been spoken so many years prior. And I've come tonight to tell Calvary the way in which we're going to enter into the promises of God, the way in which we're going to enter in to the prophetic fulfillment that God has ordained for this house is by the surrender of what is most valuable to us. He surrendered his way into the fulfillment of prophecy. And I want you to hear me because I've been in many ministry settings where submission is presented of utmost importance to those who take up the mantle of ministry, and it is. But submission is not some optional aftersalvation experience for those who want to be used of God. Submission is the very basis of our relationship with the Lord.
And submission is the avenue through which God's power and God's authority and God's prophecies come to pass. So I want to rise up on this Sunday night and let you good people know that this God that we serve is a blessing God. He's a bountiful God who delights and giving good things to his people. And I want you to hear me because God's getting ready to break something in this area and in the lives of people. It's already been spoken on Friday night. And that's why I hesitated to speak it again. But I want you to hear the word of the Lord. The Bible said in Matthew 6 and 24, no man can serve two masters. He'll hate the one and love the other or he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot say cannot serve God and mammon. That word mammon means riches or treasure.
But it actually comes from an old Chaldean word which happens to be the land that Abraham had come out of. That means confidence. And what God was speaking to was the disposition of the heart of man because we allow our confidence as men and women to be derived by what we have, what we own, the balance of our bank account and what God was saying as my people you cannot allow your confidence to come from what you have but who you trust in. I've met people who had more money than I could fathom that were controlled by their money. But I've also met people who didn't have enough money to buy groceries and were just as controlled by money as those who had all the money. You can be bound up by mammon with lots of money and you can be bound up by mammon with no money.
It's the mentality we have towards the treasure in our hands or the lack of treasure in our hands that actually opens the channel or closes the channel of God's blessing. And I come to tell you tonight what God needs of you is to open up your hand and let him know I trust you with everything you've given me. I trust you with the money in my pocket and I trust you with the mortgage I still owe on. I trust you with the car that I drove in and I trust you with the career that you've given me and whatever you've given me I'm going to give it back because I know I can surrender my way into your provision. I want you to hear this. I know you know this. You can stand. I'm almost done right here. Bring ye all the ties into the storehouse
that there may be meat in my house and prove me now herewith. Sayeth the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And the Lord said, I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes. Someone say for my sakes because God didn't really need my money anyway. And so when he starts dealing with the devourer it's not because there's a shortage in the house. He said I'm doing that for your sake and I'm going to pour you out a blessing that you don't have room enough to contain. Now hear me. Because you start getting a little blessing in your life that you don't have room for let me tell you what the American mentality will do. Build a bigger room. Well, if I don't have room to contain it
I must got to get a bigger room. No, no, no, no. The reason he's giving you more than you have room for is so you can put it back into the kingdom. I'm telling somebody tonight there's a blessing God has for your life. I don't know if pastor told the story and he was here this week or not but we got a man in our church who's very blessed of the Lord who almost 25 years ago pastor was sitting with him at a diner and called him by name and said if you'll do what I'm telling you to do I'm telling you what you'll make next year. He wrote a figure on a napkin he turned it over he slid it across the table and that man flipped the napkin and written on that napkin was $100,000 and he looked at pastor and said
there's no way. Pastor said if you do what I'm telling you there is a way. I'm not going to disclose all his business but I'm just going to tell you that man is blessed today. He didn't just pour it all into stuff and this and that he opened up his hand to the kingdom he became a channel of continual blessing for the past two decades and now he's raising up generational givers he's got kids and son-in-laws and grandkids that are opening up their hands and becoming entrepreneurs and investing in the kingdom of God I'm telling you this is the way in which God works and if he could do it in Tera Hote, Indiana he can do it in Oklahoma City I got ahead of myself because I got feeling it in here this morning and I already told you about the building God gave us playing a church
10 years ago we were in transition getting ready to move to Tera Hote breaking ground on that new sanctuary in the middle of March in 2022 I was on my way to South Dakota to preach their district youth convention I felt like the Lord dealt with me and said you need to be there for the groundbreaking so I changed my ticket and I flew in and I showed up I didn't even tell pastor I was coming and I woke up that Sunday morning and I was just in consideration of a groundbreaking the significance of it why do we do this and I felt prompted of the Lord to consider this concept in the scripture and I just thought logically well if I if I'm going to look for the breaking of ground in scripture I might as well go to where ground began just get a couple chapters into the
book of Genesis and I saw it I read that chapter hundreds of times but I never seen this the Bible speaks of two dimensions of moisture for the earth the Bible said that there was dew that was upon the face of the earth it would be upon the ground but then it spoke of rain water that was in the heavens that was reserved the Bible said God would not send it forth because there was no man to till the ground and the Lord spoke to me and he said I have two dimensions of provision for my people I have put a measure of provision within the cycle of the earth it's the dew it's your 9 to 5 it's your 12 hour shift it's your 40 or 50 hours a week that is the blessing of God in your life but he said I have another dimension
that comes from the heavens but I cannot send it until I have a man to till the ground and God said if my people will sacrifice they will see my supernatural provision that was in my private place of prayer and when I walked in the church Sunday morning one of the ushers grabbed me and pastor pulled me in the office and we had all kinds of guests in the ministry in the church there were probably 15 men in the office and he said brother McLeod I didn't know you were going to be here but we can't have everybody get up in the service and say things today but if you would would you get up and prophesy to us tell us what the Lord said and I stood in that pulpit in the middle of March in 2022 and spoke what I just told you
and we moved into a $15 million sanctuary in an 18 months we burned the mortgage think about that dollars in 18 months I don't know about you but that math don't work all I know is when the people of God open up their hands they can surrender their way into a dimension of his provision that's not limited to your annual salary that's not bound by your 40 hours that's not limited by your human comprehension telling you this tonight because the rise of spiritual influence in this body is leading you into uncharted waters it's leading you into places where the math won't make sense so don't try to reduce God to what you can calculate and what you can figure out just open up your hands and let God be God come on lift up your hands to the Lord I'm talking about a building I'm talking about land
about the next season of harvest that God has for this assembly I got a friend of mine got a lady in his church who was in her early to mid 70s gets a phone call long story short in a matter of weeks through a family inheritance this little old widow who barely had enough to make ends meet became the owner of a property worth several hundred thousand dollars and in that property was two hundred and fifty thousand dollars of solid gold bars you think well I'm just I'm just a little old lady I don't have much to give listen Jesus was standing by the offering plate and commended that little widow that gave two minds because he doesn't measure the offering the way the church treasurer does he measures the sacrifice based on what's left not what's given and here was a little old lady
that had been faithful all her life given to the church, given to the kingdom given to missions and God said now I'm gonna give back to you press down shaking together and running over now if you want this listen don't you tell God you want this if once he puts it in your hand you're gonna close your hand because you'll be judged by the word but if you want it and you know when you get it you're gonna give it you think well if I give it then I lose what I got because he said when I saw that you feared the Lord I stayed your hand I let you keep your son and I showed you a ram in the thicket hear me God has more than enough to put in your hand for you to put back in the kingdom and still get a new car
and still get a house and still get a better career but he needs to know that the kingdom and the advancement of it is your priority so if you want it in fact I'm gonna do this then we're gonna give everybody invitation my brother I asked pastor on Friday night what you do he told me I forget but the favor of the Lord is upon you I don't know what you want or what you have need of but I'm telling you right now God's favors on your life so start walking in the recognition of it and speak what you have need of because God's opening doors for you and for your family that no man can shut satakayamaha if you're in this sanctuary tonight and you want that blessing on your life get out of your seat and get in this altar ah yaha taha
you're almost satakayamaha the work of your hands put ideas in your mind and give you favor with people of influence come on that's it lift up your hands lift up your voice some of you are working for a business but God wants you to own the business listen to me listen is there any business owners in this room if you own a business or you work for yourself lift your hand high keep it up I want you to listen to me I was just talking to a man recently is a one man show concrete and construction he hires helpers as he needs pays him cash for the day one man went from working a little mediocre job standing on the back of a trash truck and got to thinking one day you know what I can work for myself and today God has blessed that little one man
operation one man a seven figure company so they just undecided well we don't really need we don't really need my wife's income so we'll just give it all back to the church we'll just pour it into the kingdom wouldn't it be good to be blessed like that to have so much overflow in your life that's what I'm talking about you can open up your hands and surrender your way into a measure of provision that transcends your math and your figuring and your human thinking come on lift up your hands both hands high on the count of three we're going to shout hallelujah and we're going to let travail and intercession and praise fill this atmosphere and we're going to let the Holy Ghost seal this word in our heart yes yes yes it is done it is done it is done in the name of Jesus
to get on your mind until you think different and you talk different and you act different it's here and it's for you an open window there's a blessing coming out it's got your address on it yeah yeah put your confidence in God anybody ready to put your confidence in God hallelujah now listen I'm going to tell you what I feel what I really feel okay and I felt this strong and then he kind of confirmed what he felt which was the same thing amen and you can take this any way you want I really don't care but the reason God's going to do this is cause there's some Kingdom-minded people here it's not cause they want to be rich it's not cause of covetedness or desire for wealth it's Kingdom-mindedness you know if if you're faithful with the least God can put I have had
millions and millions of dollars passed through these hands but it's not one in my pocket it's one into the kingdom millions and millions have passed through these hands amen because Kingdom-minded people they're not after the money they're after the kingdom amen and because of that you're going to write a million dollar check to Calvary one of these days he's going to write a million dollar check to Calvary Tommy you will too you will too and God is going to give men in here businesses you know he said to Israel I'm going to give you houses you didn't build I'm going to give you fields you didn't plant I'm going to take what they have and I'm going to give it to you you know what God's going to do give you businesses you didn't build he's going to give you factories you didn't put up
God's going to give you wealth that you didn't put your hand in making but the favor of God is going to rest upon you and it will happen because you're kingdom minded and if you're faithful with the least a hundred million dollars is nothing when we bought this building I sat down in a a closing office listen to me don't look over there I sat down in a closing office and I personally wrote an eight hundred fifty thousand dollar check and handed it to the guy and that loan officer said I can't believe this I said why that you have the authority to write an eight hundred fifty thousand dollar check that they'll let you do that this is never mind what religion he was but this is a different religion and I said I said they trust me with their souls how much is that
worth what's money compared to souls kingdom minded people have got their mind in the kingdom now listen you're sitting back there and you're saying I don't have the potential I don't have the option I don't have the way that's human thinking that's human logic God can give you favor that'll blow your mind blow your mind amen amen I could go on and on with testimony but I'm not going to but here's what I want to impress upon you don't think about the negatives think about the greatness of God don't think about limitation think with God all things are possible amen and that is the truth amen I'm turning it back to you I just felt I had to say some of those things hallelujah
