Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Hear ye the parable
- He reads Jesus' own explanation of the parable: the seed is the word of the kingdom, and the soils are the hearts that receive it — the wayside heart that does not understand, and the wicked one catches the word away; the stony heart that receives with joy but has no root and is offended when tribulation comes; the thorny heart where the care of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word; and the good ground that hears, understands, and bears fruit — some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Scriptures: Matthew 13:18-23
Secrets of the kingdom, and the nature of God
- Parables are not surface stories: they bring out secrets hidden from the foundation of the world, and they reveal two things — kingdom principles, and the nature of God. The kingdom was never intended to stay small: it began with him, then twelve, then seventy, then a hundred and twenty, then three thousand.
- Matthew the tax collector's account insists the parable is not about the seed — the seed is the same everywhere it falls. It is about the sower and the soil. God looks at soil the way he looked at impulsive, inconsistent Peter and saw the preacher of Pentecost: he sees what a person can become.
Scriptures: Matthew 13:35
Fruitfulness is little by little
- God drives the enemy out little by little — not in a single year, lest the land become desolate — a little at a time, until you have increased enough to take possession. What you refuse to drive out remains to be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your side, and Israel's first chapter in Judges is what happens when a people quit driving out and commingle with what God asked them to remove.
- The danger is plateauing: deciding you have arrived and no longer have to live little by little. And conviction is the guard — true Holy Ghost conviction is your greatest asset, because the little thing God asks you to push out, pushed out of your life instead, becomes the thing that pushes you out.
Scriptures: Exodus 23:29-30; Numbers 33:55; Judges 1
Good ground, with patience
- Luke's account of the same parable names the good ground: they which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. Becoming fruitful is a process — the long process of sanctification — and patience is not optional in living for the Lord.
Scriptures: Luke 8:15
The gathering of the fruitful
- There is a final moment coming: in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, the trumpet shall sound and we shall put on immortality. Every man in his own order — Christ the first fruits, afterward they that are Christ's at his coming — and if you will be his when he comes, you will join the gathering of the fruitful and sing the new song of the redeemed.
- The record ends in his closing prayer — for strength in the body, for the driving spirit of Jehu, for old-fashioned conviction, and for renewed minds — complete, as he prayed it.

A man very familiar passage of scripture, Matthew chapter 13, beginning at verse number 18. Bible says, hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside, but he that received the seed into the stony places, that is the same he that heareth the word, with anon with joy receiveth it, yet he hath no root in himself but dureth for a while for when tribulation persecution arises, because of the word by and by he is offended. He also that received the seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word and the care of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choked the word and he become unfruitful, but he that received the seed into the good ground
is he that heareth the word and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit. Some come forth a hundred fold, some 60 and some 30. I wanna focus on verse number 18 and this is where I'm gonna take my title from and I wanna talk to you tonight on the parable of the sower. Lord, I love you, thank you for your word. It's evident that your hand is already on this service. Just pray Lord that you would bring revelation and you would minister to the body tonight in a special way. I believe that you're gonna do a great work in this house in Jesus' name we pray. Somebody say in Jesus' name. I love the parables, I love the teachings of Jesus and how he wove parables all throughout scripture. And a lot of times when we read parables we hurry beyond them a little too quickly
and I would challenge you in your daily Bible reading that if you stumble upon a parable to not take it for surface value because a lot of times that's what the hearers of the word did in that day. However, Jesus when he references a parable he says in Matthew 13 and 35 that parables are bringing out secrets that have been hidden from the foundations of the world. And so these parables is not just Jesus talking about farming or about friends but it's him bringing to you secrets that have been hidden from the beginning. And so I have found that there are two major things that parables reveal. The first is they reveal kingdom principles. So parables reveal kingdom principles. The second thing that I have learned that parables reveal is the nature of God. And so when you read a parable they're going to teach you one of two things
about his kingdom or about him. For instance, when you read about the mustard seed he is talking about something that begins as the least but becomes the greatest. He is revealing the progression of his kingdom. It's interesting that as you study that Jesus's sepulcher was in a garden. As a matter of fact, he was trying to teach them that I'm the seed that's gonna be sown into the earth. And though I have come humble now this kingdom is not just going to remain small. It began with him and then him in 12 and then him in 70 and then 120 and then 3000. And the next thing you know we're a part of this apostolic truth that is full of thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people, why? Because the kingdom of God was never intended to stay small. It's an increasing kingdom. And then when you read something for instance
about the unjust judge here he is revealing to you something about his nature because he gives you this parable and this parable talks about how that there was a widow woman who wearied him by his or her continual coming and it was this constant coming back. I'm not gonna give up. I'm not gonna throw in the towel. And Jesus says it was by her continual coming that she wearied him. He said listen, I'll give you whatever you want. Just please leave me alone. And the nature of this is not that Jesus is unjust. The nature of this is if somebody consistently coming can turn somebody that's unjust into doing something just and good how much more would a just God do something for you? And so this is revealing his nature. He's the type of God that if you pray he listens. And furthermore he answers.
Knock and it shall be opened. He's that type of God. You just gotta knock on the door. Seek and you shall find. If you'll seek it out, if you'll look for it he'll give it to you. And so that's the type of God that he is. He's trying to teach us that prayer changes things. That's why when you look all throughout the scriptures you'll find that God said I'm gonna kill the children of Israel. That's what he said when they were down worshiping the golden calf that they built. But however Moses prayed and when Moses prays God changes his mind. Why? Because he's a God that will listen if you'll talk to him. Abraham is hearing about the entire genocide of this city and that fire and brimstone is gonna come down upon Sodom and Gomorrah. But he prays and he intercedes and he changes the mind of God.
Why? Because if you'll talk to him he's a God that listens. And so these parables when you read them they will teach you about the nature and the kingdom of God. So don't just read about farming. Don't just read about a friend that goes and seeks for somebody but slow down and extrapolate from the text what's really trying to be revealed to you because if you will God will teach you a lot about him and his kingdom. And I don't know about you I wanna know about the Lord. And I wanna know about his kingdom. Amen. And so this specific parable is one that we all know and we've all read and I would not say that any interpretation that I have heard is incorrect. That's not my place. I think God has a way of revealing different levels of revelation. That's why it's line upon line
and precept upon precept. However, God gives different nuggets to different people and he lets them see it in different ways and he works with you and I on how we see scripture and he'll show you something that he won't show me and he'll reveal something to you that he won't reveal to me and that's why we're the body. And when we all come together and you show me what you got and I show you what I got maybe we'll just be edified and we'll grow together. Doesn't that sound good? And so reading this parable we've often time focused on the fact that it's about the seed and I don't think that's wrong. We call it the parable of the sower and the seed. However, when you break this down and you look at what Matthew says in red letter he's very emphatic that this is not about the seed
or maybe we talk about how it's about the soil and I realize that Jesus spends the majority of the time talking about soil conditions. However, when Jesus reveals what this parable is all about he does not say that it's about soil and he does not say that it's about seed. Jesus himself says, hear ye the parable of the sower. So whatever is going to come of this parable is supposed to not bring revelation about the issues in the soil and it's really not even supposed to bring revelation about the seed. This is all about a sower. This is all about the one who sowed. Now why is that important? Because when I read this I read about soil that has a lot of issues in it and I read about a seed that has the power to change the soil if the soil will allow it
but it's not about those things and any good farmer is going to spend time looking into the soil and so yes, the soil is important. In fact, I remember in my time living in Louisiana there were a lot of farmers there on the Delta of the Mississippi, it's great fertile ground and they test the soil. They have specific machinery that will go and will drill holes into the ground and as they are pulling the soil out they will test the nutrients of the soil to see what type of nutrients is in there and see if it's conducive for growth. In fact, the government will pay those farmers to not sow anything into the land so that the land can rest because the soil needs rest. Sounds a little bit like an idea they might've got from the Bible, strange. And so, while the soil is important
it's not about the soil. Matthew is the only one, as a matter of fact, from the Synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all of which record the parable of the sower. He is the only one that says, hear ye the parable of the sower. Why is it that Matthew thinks it's very important for us to realize this is about the sower? Because Matthew is a tax collector. Matthew has sold out to Rome, he has forsaken his Jewish brethren and he has gone to make money by working for the man. Now, if you're a young person here and you're still a dependent on your parents' tax return you don't understand why that's a big deal. But for the rest of us that have to pay the man every year out of every check, you open it up and you see what he just decided to take
it was frustrating. But Matthew says this is about the sower. This is about a God that in spite of the quality of the soil, in spite of all that is wrong in the soil, he is a God that sows anyhow. That's what this is all about. It's about a God that knows their stones in that soil, their thorns in that soil, that soil is so shallow it can't even handle the word, but in spite of everything that's wrong in the soil, he's the type of God that says, I'm gonna take my word and I'm gonna sow anyhow. Now, when I read that the first time and the Lord hit me with it, man, I started crying because maybe you're perfect, you're sanctified, you're sitting here half glorified, you're half here and half in heaven already, but hey, us that are still just trying to live for God,
it's good when we hear that God sowed anyhow. That in spite of everything going on in us, in spite of the condition and the way that he found us, he took his word, one day a preacher stood or a Bible study teacher sat in front of you and they threw the word of God into your life and when they did, friend, that word started germinating, it started changing you, it started thank God that he's a God that is a sower. Amen. And so not only do I see a God that loves us enough to sow anyhow, I think when you read about stones and you read about thorns and you read about the wayside that you are seeing a general description of every Old Testament character, every Old Testament person that is written about through the entirety of the Old Testament. You're seeing Abraham who was a liar,
Jacob who was a deceiver, Moses who had anger problems, Aaron who was unfaithful and couldn't lead, the nation of Israel who was in constant rebellion, Gideon who was encapsulated by fear, David who was a lustful murderer, Solomon who had a divided heart, Jonah who was a rebellious prophet, Peter who was impulsive and inconsistent, Thomas who was doubtful or Saul AKA Paul who was a murderer of the church. And yet in spite of everything that was going on in their life, we serve a God that says, I'm gonna sow anyways, I'm gonna put the word of God into you anyways, I'm gonna try anyways. Now I think the reason that God is a God that sows anyhow is because he has confidence in the transformative work of his seed. He knows that the word can work if you'll let it. He knows Abraham, you can become fruitful soil.
You'll become the father of the faithful if you'll just obey my word. Gideon, I know you can be a mighty man of valor. All you gotta do is obey my word. Jacob, I know you're gonna become Israel. All you gotta do is obey my word. Peter, I think you can become the preacher of Pentecost even though you're as unstable as water right now because I have enough confidence in my word that when I sow it, it's gonna do a work that changes you. And so his desire is that though you have all of the character flaws, all of the inadequacies, all of the things that are going on in your life when he found you, his desire is, is that through obedience, through the word of God, obedience through this roadmap of life that he has given us, you and I can become a fruitful people in the kingdom of God.
And so to understand the work of the word, I think you and I have to get a greater revelation of the process of sanctification. Now why do I say that? Because I think we have a pretty good grasp as the Apostolic Church on the work of justification. Justification in the most basic sense is a one -time legal declaration of righteousness, forgiveness, and being accepted. It's what happens when you were baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. You were justified. And thank God for the day that he found us and he put his word in us and somebody said, you gotta go to the water and you gotta be baptized. Where would we be without the work of the regeneration of the power of the Holy Ghost? Amen, we were regenerated through the water and through the Spirit and I thank God
that he loved me enough to throw the word into my heart, to throw the word into my life. But sanctification is an ongoing work of being made righteous in the practice of character. So we know that the word is powerful because in the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word Jesus was saying, I'll get myself in you. And if I can get me in you, you and me can team up and we can whip this whole nasty flesh. But it's not gonna happen just overnight. Now I'm gonna say some things and I don't wanna be misunderstood because if anybody believes in the power of salvation, I believe in the power of salvation. If anybody believes in the transformative work of salvation, I believe in the transformative work of salvation. Do not misunderstand me. I have seen it time and I have seen it time again.
I have seen people get filled with the Holy Ghost, baptized in Jesus' name and I have seen them never go back to their drug addiction. I've seen it over and over again. I could tell you miracle testimony after miracle testimony of the times where God immediately when they were, I can tell you, I think I've told this story here, preaching in Dallas, Texas, this boy gets baptized, filled with the Holy Ghost, comes back a few weeks later. He says, man, if I had knew I was gonna save this much money on drugs, I'd have done it a long time ago. But that very same joker in our Bible study through the week, we get done with Bible study, we're standing out in the hallway and he just goes, ma 'am, this is bleepin', bleepin', the best bleepin', bleepin' thing I've ever bleepin', bleepin', been a part of.
Bless God, he wasn't smokin' dope anymore, but he was sure throwin' some bleeps around because the fact of the matter is, while salvation is transformative, sanctification takes some time. And until we put on an immortal body, now listen, I'm not here, I'm not here to give everybody a free pass to sin. Please do not misunderstand me. I'm not here to say, go live how you wanna live, do what you wanna do, we'll see you in heaven. That's the opposite of what I'm trying to tell you. Grace is not a ticket to sin. Noah taught us what grace was all about. The Bible says, Noah was saved by grace. What did grace do? It picked him up out of the unrighteous condition of the world and brought him into the newness of life. That's the work of grace. I'll pick you up out of unrighteousness and I'll bring you to a new world.
That's the work of grace. It doesn't leave you to live in sin, it elevates you out of the life of sin. That's what grace does. Nevertheless, until we are changed, we're in flesh. And I don't know why in the world it seems like this is what the Lord wants to talk to me about a lot and what he wants me to teach about a lot, but here we are because I feel like I'm supposed to try to help you understand that until we are changed. Now what I mean by that is we were changed when we were baptized and filled the Holy Ghost, but there is another change that's going to happen. That is the change where we shall not all sleep. Some of us shall be changed, where we will be changed. That means literally we change from the earthy to the heavenly, we change from the natural
to the supernatural, we take off immortality. I mean, we take off mortality and we put on immortality. That's the final moment where the trumpet will sound. And we all need to hear that because the trumpet is going to sound. Matter of fact, the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 1552 thought it so important to say he says in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, notice the redundancy, at the last trump for the trumpet shall sound. Notice how he doesn't just say at the last trump, he could have stopped there and he's not talking about Donald. At the last, boy. I felt Facebook just get, you have been suspended for what you just canceled. Okay, I got to get going here. At the last trump for the trumpet shall sound. Why is it redundant? Because it's almost like he's trying to get the Corinthian church to realize
the trumpet will sound. And that's what our church, this church, the end time church has to realize the trumpet's gonna sound. It's gonna sound. We're gonna get out of here. But that's why he says in verse number 58, after all of this, therefore my beloved brother, be he steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. He's trying to tell you, if you'll keep the trumpet on your mind, you'll be steadfast, unmovable and always abounding. There has to be an always abound in the work. And I think that's where we kind of get our head kind of jumbled up with this walk with God is, friend, it's work. Salvation is free, but sanctification takes work. We gotta get up every day and put the work in. I see this as probably the greatest type of the work that we're supposed to put in is that when Adam, through the fall in the garden,
he told him, he said, now listen, he said, the soil can produce fruit, but you're gonna have to toil with it. That word toil means labor, work. He said, by the sweat of your brow now, where it wasn't going to have to be a arduous, sweaty job. Now it's gonna take work for the soil to become fruitful. I think that is as prophetic of the day as we are living in as him prophesying to the serpent, what she's gonna produce is gonna crush your head. Because the Lord is showing you and I, which are after the first Adam, to become fruitful, you've got to toil with the earth. And sometimes it's gonna cause a little sweat to come to your brow. Sometimes it's gonna take, you gotta pray when you don't feel like praying. You gotta read when you don't feel like reading. You gotta fast when you don't feel like fasting.
You gotta show up to church when you don't feel like showing up to church. And to all of those that are online, you gotta show up to Wednesday night when you don't feel like showing up to Wednesday night. I won't say that to y 'all because y 'all are the faithful ones. I don't get this whole, we don't like to come to church on Wednesday night. And I sure don't get all of the young couples that don't show up to church on Wednesday night. And pardon me, I'm not the pastor of this church, I'm just the evangelist who gets to come in here and fly away once all of her things all stirred up. But my Lord, Wednesday nights are important. Come in here and enjoy the word of God. And I know it's hard on the young ladies who have kids. My Lord, my wife comes into church
and half the time one of them is yanking here and the other one's hungry and she leaves church and sometimes she's like, man, I don't even know why I went. I didn't feel like I got anything. But you instill the discipline into the life of your children that said, I'm gonna get up and I'm gonna put the work in, even if I get there and I'm in and out of the service 15 times because my kids are pulling me north, south, east and west. You know what you just taught your kids? The world is less important than the church. We're here even though it's not easy. We're doing it even though it's not convenient. And I don't mean to, anyways. I'll leave that for the pastors of this church. Brother Richie, you can have that one. Exodus 23, 29. I'm gonna read it in the new living translation.
But I will not drive them out in a single year because the land would become desolate and the wild animals would multiply and threaten you. I'll drive them out. Everybody say a little at a time until your population has increased enough to take possession of the land. He's saying for you to inherit the land that I want you to have, you can't do it all at once. It'll overtake you. Now I realize that he's talking about possessing the promised land, but I really think we can take from this text one of the most beautiful ideologies of how we are supposed to live for God. Little by little. While I enjoy, you all know more than anybody, I enjoy the big moment. Man, I'll run the aisles with the best of them. Maybe not as good anymore, but I'll still do my best. I'll shout, I'll dance, I'll get sweaty.
Let's have big church. Let's go and have big conferences. But all of that is null and void if we don't wake up the next day and do little by little. That's really what living for God is all about. It's not having a crescendo of your faith and then plateauing. It's about waking up every day and going little by little. Little by little. Paul said it this way, glory to glory. You're moving from one location to the next and you're never allowing yourself to say, I've made it. Because the only time we can say that we've made it is when we're up there. That's making it. That's making it. If this is making it, I give up. Y 'all can have it. I'm going up there. Oh, I wanna be with Jesus. I don't know who said this, somebody said it. I don't wanna get to heaven in here
and find out that I'm medium rare. I wanna get to heaven and find out I'm well done. I don't like a well done steak. I like my steak medium rare. But when I get to heaven, I don't wanna be half cooked. I wanna know I got up every day and I did little by little, day after day. I didn't feel like praying, I didn't feel like reading, I didn't feel like putting in the work, I didn't feel like going to church, but you know what? I did it anyways. And one day I messed up, I did what I shouldn't have done but you know what, I got back up again and I didn't stay down and what did I do? I put the next foot and I went again little by little and then I kept, well, what happened the next day? Well, I just kept doing it little by little, little by little.
And if you'll just keep going little by little, day after day, day after day, day after day. Living for the Lord is a little bit like a savings account with like a 3% interest rate. Put your money in there, you're like, bless God I'm saving, 3% compounding interest. And then a year goes by and you're like, why in the world did I do this? I haven't made any money on what I put in the account. But then 10 years goes by and you're like, consistency over time does pay off. That's kind of what living for the Lord is like, consistency over time pays off. I heard Brother Woodward make this little statement and I'm probably about to butcher it because I didn't write it down and just popped in my head but he said, inconsistent prayer, inconsistent power. Little prayer, little power. A lot of prayer, a lot of power.
Consistent prayer, consistent power. What you put in is what you're gonna get out. And so it's the little by little walk with God that I think is what we have to become masters of. The getting up every day and just doing it. Genesis, actually I think I already talked about that. Let's go down here to numbers 33 and 55. 33 and 55, the Bible says, if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come to pass that those which you let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes and thorns in your side and shall vex you in the land wherein you shall dwell. Moreover, it shall come to pass that I shall do unto you, somebody say unto me, as I thought to do unto them. So he's talking about the children of Israel and if you read the book of Judges in that first chapter,
you'll find out that they quit driving the people out because they got to a place where they felt like we've got enough and they just commingled with things that God asked them to drive out. Now here's the issue with plateauing in our walk with God is that oftentimes when we think we've made it to a place where we don't have to do little by little anymore, oftentimes that's when things begin to vex us because what they left in the land, whatever in their mind, whatever little agreement they made within themselves to just say they can stay, it ended up the things that they said that can just exist with us or coexist with us being the very thing that drove them out. And God said what I wanted to do to that, now I have to do to you. And so what happens is, is when we plateau
and we quit living for God little by little is the thorn that you were supposed to remove ends up removing you. Or the stone you were supposed to dig out ends up being the very thing that takes you out. Or the soil we were supposed to add ends up being the very thing that causes us to be taken away. And so what happens is, is what we decide to not drive out of our life ends up driving us out. It's a tale as old as time. It's a tale as old as time. The Lord will convict us about something. And I wanna say something about conviction if it's okay. I believe in biblical convictions. I believe in a shepherd that rightly divides the word of God and delivers us the word of truth. And I thank God for this wonderful roadmap that we have. And this is something that I say pretty often,
however, I do not believe that biblical convictions should be the ceiling of our conviction. I believe biblical convictions should only be the foundation that we build upon. Because here's the thing, Dillon has things in his life that you don't have in your life. And this is where we start defining the difference between biblical and personal convictions. Biblical conviction is the Bible. So if you don't do it, you're wrong. A personal conviction is something that God looks and shines the light of his glorious salvation into our hearts. And while he's doing that, he holds you up to the nature and the image of Jesus Christ. And he says, that in you will cause you to be removed from him. Now that in you might not be the that that is in me. Does that make sense? The thing in me is not the same thing that's in you.
And so the Lord will send something called conviction. And I need you to understand, conviction is not your enemy, it's your best friend. True Holy Ghost conviction is your greatest asset in the kingdom because it's leading you. And so what he'll do is, is he'll say, that little thing right there is something that will remove you from me. It's Paul telling Timothy, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. And so God'll speak to you and he'll say, you gotta be careful. Don't allow that into your life. And then what we do is, we push conviction out. And then as conviction is getting pushed out, the thing that God revealed and asked us to push out ends up being the thing that pushes us out. And it's a tale as old as time, pastor would look at you and say, you know, I just don't think that's wise
or the Holy Ghost would tell you, I just don't think that's something you should do. And then we do it anyways, because we think we can handle it. We think we know better. Well, I'm the exception to that, is oftentimes what we will hear ourselves saying. Well, that doesn't really apply to me, Lord, you know. And then what happens is, is the very thing that you could have driven out and had fruit in the land ends up being the thing that drives you out and takes you out of the fruitfulness that God intended for you to have. And so the process of sanctification is a long process. Becoming fruitful in the kingdom is a process. That's why in Luke 8.15, in the very same parable, this is what Luke says, but that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, keep it. Watch and bring forth fruit with patience. There's a word that we don't like. I've even heard people say, don't pray for patience. When really, if there's anything we need in living for the Lord, it's patience. Because we don't get answers when we want them. And we don't change as quick as we wanna change. And we don't do things as fast as we want things to be done or God doesn't do things as fast as we want God to do things. And if there's anything we need to live for the Lord, it's patience because there's a lot of times that I've looked over the week or I've looked over the month and I said, boy, that'd have been a good time for you to come back and here I still am. We're patiently awaiting for the coming of the Lord.
You need patience to become fruitful. But friend, if you don't wake up every day and with patience, little by little, get a driving out spirit that says I'm never gonna plateau, I'm never gonna get lukewarm, I would rather God said you be hot or cold, just don't become complacent, just don't become lukewarm. Just don't become easy. You gotta either be hot or cold, just be something, be sold out to one side or the other. You gotta have a little by little in you, you gotta have a driving out spirit in you. My prayer for this service all day has been God, I pray that you would put fight back into somebody. I pray you would put a Holy Ghost tenacity back in the spirit of somebody. I pray you would put a getting back up type of spirit back into somebody. Because the fact of the matter is I'm convinced
some of the lack of peace and joy and temperance, fruit, fruit that many of us are looking for has left because we quit doing little by little and we quit driving out. But if we wanna be fruitful friend, First Corinthians 1523 says, but every man in his own order, Christ the first fruits, the first fruits. Afterward they that are Christ at his coming. If you'll be his when he comes back, you're gonna become a part of the fruitful ground. He was the first fruits, but friend we're gonna become fruitful one day too. That day when he parts that sky, that day when that trumpet sounds, I'm gonna join in in the gathering of the fruitful. I'm gonna join in in the gathering of the fruitful. That's what this is all about. I know it seems like every time I get behind the pulpit and I'm gonna be honest, I'm not apologizing for it
because I don't think we think enough about eternity. I'm ready to be with Jesus. I'm ready to become fruitful with the Lord. You were after the first order, the first Adam, but friend there's a day coming when we're gonna be after that new order. And then we're gonna get to sing the song of the redeemed, the song that begins to be sung in heaven in Revelation five and nine, and they sung a new song. It's a song we've never sang before. I love all of James Wilson songs. I love all of Mark Crowder songs. I love all of Frankie Tate. These are all apostolic artists in case you all are wondering. I love all of the songs that we sing on Sunday. I love all of them, but friend there's one song that I can't wait to sing more than any of them. And it's a song nobody's ever sung before.
It's the song of the redeemed. It's a new song. Thou art worthy to take the book and open the seals thereof. Thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by the blood out of every kindred tongue, people and nation. There's a day coming where the fruit of this soil is gonna be gathered, be gathered. And friend, we're gonna become fruitful. And when we get up there, we're not gonna be thinking about the arduous task of little by little. That's why Paul said, hey, buddy, it's a light affliction. The labor that you're laboring right now, it's a light affliction according to the exceeding weight that we're gonna have in glory. Cause when we get to glory, we're gonna start singing. My, my, my, I feel the Holy Ghost. Let's just lift our hands and entertain the presence of God. Thank you, Jesus. Man, I feel the Holy Ghost in this house.
I feel the Holy Ghost in this house right now. A condom. Here's the most exciting thing. Here's the most exciting thing about everything that I've said. Until the trumpet sounds, we still have time. This ought to give us more faith. This ought to give us more encouragement. This ought to give us more hope. Until the trumpet sounds, you're not a lost cause. Until the trumpet sounds, we got time to get up and do it right again. Until the trumpet sounds and God gets his church out of here, you and I, we still have time to get it right. We still have time to hit our knee one more time and pray again and pray and pray until God drives it out. We still have time. I've said this and I'm a firm believer in this location is not as important as direction. God wants to know what direction you're going
when he comes back. Can I tell somebody who feels like you have back slid? You might have back slid, but it doesn't stop you from forward sliding. You might have gone in reverse, but if you'll just repent, which is turning and start moving forward again, if you're, I believe this. Now I may be wrong, but I believe if we're moving towards him when he comes back, I think that prodigal son is a pretty good indicator of the kind of God that we serve. If he sees you moving towards him, he can't help but come and gather you and bring you home. He just, you might have back slid, but it's time to start forward sliding. You know what I'm saying? Trumpet hasn't sound, it's not too late. You're not too far gone. The cause is not too far gone. There's still time to get going again.
Get fired up and get, man, we ought to have a revival on Wednesday night. Somebody revive in this house and get back in the fight. Praise God, I feel the Holy Ghost right now. Stand with me, I'm done. Let's just lift our hands and let's worship the great I am just for a little while. Lord, I love you. Come on, worship him with your voice right now. He carde anda la boho shatah. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Ha tarre anda la boho shatah, to la boho shatah. If you wanna step out and come to the altar and pray for a minute, you're more than welcome. These altars are open. If you wanna pray where you're at, pray where you're at. If you're ready to go home, you can go home,
but man, I just feel a getting back up in this house right now. I feel the encouragement of the Holy Ghost. I feel the strengthening of the Spirit of God. I feel like there's a redirection coming into some of your heart, some of your mind, some of your soul. There's still time. I said, there's still time, sir. There's still time, ma 'am. Ha tarre anda la boho shatah, ya ha. He tarre anda la boho shatah, ya la ba ha. Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. I worship you, I magnify you, I exalt you. Lord, I pray strength into the body of Christ right now. I pray strength in every heart, every mind, every soul. I pray God, the strength of the Holy Ghost to permeate them right now. I pray God that you would give virtue where virtue has been lost, God. I pray God that you would restore what has been lost, God.
I pray God that you would uplift. I pray right now, Lord. You would put that fight back in him, God. I pray God that you would put the fight in their heart, a fight in their mind. I pray God you would put a tenacity in their spirit. I pray, Lord, that the spirit of Jehu would fall in this house. Lord, a driving spirit, God. A driving out spirit, God. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Ha tarre anda la boho shatah, ha tarre anda la boho. Ha tarre anda la boho shatah, ha tarre anda la boho. The spirit of condemnation in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I lose old fashioned conviction into this house, God. I pray conviction would wake them up in the morning. I pray conviction would lead them in their walk with you. I pray conviction, God would begin to enter into their minds and their spirits again.
I pray that if they are waxed over, you would remove the waxing, Lord, and that they would begin to have a sensitivity to the moving and the convicting of the Holy Ghost again. I pray right now, Lord, we would be renewed in our mind. Lord, that we would be renewed in our mind right now. Let our minds be renewed in you. Let our minds be renewed in you, God, so that we might be conformed into your image, God, through the transforming of our mind. Let this mind be in us, which also wasn't Christ Jesus. Let this mind be in us, which also wasn't Christ Jesus. And let this mind be in us, which also wasn't Christ Jesus. And let this mind be in us, which also wasn't Christ Jesus.
