Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Be ye transformed
- His text is Romans chapter 12, verses 1 and 2 — the capture opens as the reading is being announced, and the two verses carry the night: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service — and be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. His focus is one word — transformed — and his subject: the road of transformation.
- Conformed first, because the world does have a mold. The voices that say there is no mold — live your own truth, walk your own path — are themselves a mold, conforming you to the image of darkness, to the image of the world. And the mold won't ever quit: the world is always changing, and its work of conformation presses on a person until it has them convinced there is no way out at all. It is a tiresome way to live. There has got to be something in us that says, I'm sick of the conforming.
Scriptures: Romans 12:1-2
The first birth must serve the second
- Under the text runs a paradigm he traces from Cain and Abel forward — the older and younger brother, again and again: the promise son over the flesh son, the elder shall serve the younger over Esau and Jacob, crossed hands over Ephraim and Manasseh. 1 Corinthians 15 and 46 states it as law: howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural, and afterward that which is spiritual. Your first birth is of the flesh; your second birth is of the Spirit — and the first must learn to subject itself to the second. 1 Corinthians 15 and 49 is the destination: as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. When you are baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, a war begins — and it has been taught all the way back in Genesis.
- Romans 8 and 13 is the war's rule: for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die — but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. The flesh does not want to subject itself to the altar; but mortify it — make the flesh dead — and you shall live through the power of the Holy Ghost. And 1 Corinthians 2 and 11 explains the two teachers: for what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. The spirit of man taught you carnality without lessons — mom and dad did not teach you how to lie; they taught you how not to lie. The Spirit of God teaches the things of God — what God likes, how God thinks — and now we have the mind of Christ.

Changed into the same image
- The transformation word, he found, lives in very few places — one of them the mount of Matthew chapter 17, where Jesus was transfigured before them: he changes images, changes from what he is here to what he is going to be. And the other place is 2 Corinthians chapter 3, verse 18: but we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. The glass is not something you see through; it is literally a mirror. You are beholding the glory of God as in a mirror — looking at the face, the image, of Jesus Christ, the perfect one, the holy one — and standing there beholding the image, you are on the road of transformation.
- He walks a young man from the house through it — Nathan, baptized in Jesus' name, filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, standing before the image with his negative quality in his hand: this is who you need to be. Now watch: God does not call you to perfection; he calls you to change — and the glory is already changing him as he beholds, because that is how powerful he is; somebody can be in this ten minutes or fifty years. Jealousy is gonna rise up; bitterness is gonna rise up; an unforgiving spirit is gonna rise up; you're gonna fall, maybe even backslide — that's why you pray until you feel yourself turned, why you don't get off an altar on a Sunday until you feel things begin to change in you. He's been taken for less than things were worth before and doesn't like being ripped off — and before you leave this road, he says, God's going to put some wholeness on you.
Scriptures: Matthew 17; 2 Corinthians 3:18
The floor of conviction
- Romans chapter 14, read in the NLT at his direction, gives the road its traffic law: don't tear apart the work of God over what you eat; all foods are acceptable, but it is wrong to eat something if it makes another person stumble; keep what you believe about these things between yourself and God. Scripture, he teaches, is the floor of conviction, not the ceiling — the letter gives the floor; the Spirit of God then works personal convictions on top of it, person by person. A son of God is one who is led by the Spirit — and when God gives you a doubt about a thing, for you it is sin to keep it, even where another brother has never been convicted of it. Should you judge him if he hasn't been? No — because it clearly has not been convicted to him. That doesn't mean you can go there; it means transformation is personal.
- He testifies it off his own wrist: a watch he loves — an Orient on a brown leather band, one of a closet full — and the check came: not worth salvation. He got mad that he got convicted, told his wife, took it off, and put it in the closet, hoping one day the conviction lifts — and if not, he'll bless one of the brothers with it. Facebook again, for pictures of his daughter: prayed about it, tried again with another app, creating the account, and there was that check again — not yet. Maybe for somebody else it's cable in the house: is it sin? I don't think so — but maybe it's what's separating you from hearing the voice of God. Cut it out of your life; it's not worth eternity; and don't you dare judge another person if they have it. Let God work on them. We're just going to walk on the road of transformation — I'm trying to get to heaven; I want to be like him when he appears.
- The record closes at the altar under its refrain-charge: work your salvation out with fear and trembling, feel the weight of glory, don't be desensitized to the echo of the Almighty — let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus — and when you wake up tomorrow, walk with him.

of Romans chapter 12, beginning at verse number one. Just two verses is here and we'll see what the Lord will do tonight. Romans chapter 12, verse number one. We had a great time in Connecticut. The Lord filled many kids with the Holy Ghost and so thankful for all that he did there and glad to be home. I'm glad I got to get preached to this morning. Wasn't that a powerful word we heard? My goodness, amen. Romans chapter 12, verse number one. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Verse number two, and this is one I want to focus on, and be not conformed to this world. But be ye, everybody say transformed. Transformed by the renewing of your mind. Which ye may prove what is the good
and acceptable and perfect will of God. Tonight I want to focus on that word transformed and I want to try my best to preach to you on this subject, the road of transformation. I feel like tonight if we'll allow the Holy Ghost, he's going to minister from the front to the back from the left to the right. And I'm just going to do my best to express the thought as it's been expressed to me. So let's all lift our hands and let's just pray that God would have his will and his way in this service. Lord, I love you, I thank you for your word. I thank you, God, for what I feel in the Holy Ghost in this service today. There's such a wonderful presence of the Lord that moved in this place. It's been here since this morning, God, and it's still here tonight
and we feel the stirring of the Holy Ghost. Anoint me as your vessel tonight. God, use me for the glory of your kingdom. Loose the gifts of the spirit into this atmosphere right now. God, for we need the gifts of the spirit and operation and confirm this word with signs following in the wonderful name of Jesus we pray. Come on, let's worship just for a few more moments. Hallelujah, Jesus. Hallelujah, Jesus. Hallelujah, Jesus. Glory to God. Glory to God. Glory to God. Amen, amen. You may be seated in Jesus' name, in Jesus' name. Praise God. 1 Corinthians 15, 46 teaches us a principle that I wanna focus on here on the outset of this message tonight. And it says, how be it that was not first, which is spiritual, but that which is natural and afterward, that which is spiritual. This is describing to us what Jesus conveyed
to Nicodemus in their conversation. When Nicodemus was puzzled by the question of how can a man be born again, Jesus said that which is born of the flesh is flesh. He was saying what Paul said, that's your first birth or your natural birth. And then that which is born of the spirit is spirit. It is teaching us that all according to the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15, 49, we have born the image of the earthy as he says. When you were born of your mother, you came into this world, you came bearing the image of earth. The image that was created in Genesis in the very beginning of time when God formed man from earth, you bore the earthy image. And just as you and I here tonight have born the earth image, when you were baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost,
you were put on a road, you were put on a journey. And that journey is to take you from here to there. That journey is to bring you from earth that one day we would be with him in the sky. I have never preached about heaven as much as I have preached about heaven lately because I have never felt to emphasize heaven as much as I have felt to emphasize heaven lately. But there's coming a day where you and I that bear the image of the earthy. However, we are filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus' name. And because of that, there will be a moment where we no longer bear the image of the earthy. Where you and I will have a moment where we change in the sky. In the twinkling of an eye, we will change into something. And so when you were baptized in Jesus' name
and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, a struggle began, a war, so to speak, began. This war is taught to us all the way back in the book of Genesis. When you start in the book of Genesis and you read about how Cain slays Abel, you are getting the first instance of the older and younger brother paradigm that is taught to us by the prophet Malachi and echoed by the apostle when he said, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. He was teaching us a principle that began all the way when Cain slays Abel. This slaying took place because the younger brother was favored by God and the older brother was rejected when he brought his sacrifice. It continues this process of the older and younger. When you read about Ishmael mocking Isaac, the son born of the flesh, mocking the son
that was born of the promise, the promise son, you read this further on when you hear as the Lord prophesies to the mother of Esau and Jacob when it says, and the elder is going to serve the younger. It continues when Jacob looks at the two sons of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, and when he places Joseph, the older on the right hand of Jacob and the younger on the left hand, showing that the older should get the right hand, which is the representation of power and greater blessing. However, Jacob and the Bible said he did it on purpose. It was not by accident. He crosses his hands and he places the right hand on the younger and the left hand on the older. This is the representation that started with Cain and Abel. The older is going to serve the younger. The first is going to serve the second.
The latter will serve the former. And so you have to understand in this idea that we are being taught that the first birth or the flesh birth should serve the second birth or the spirit birth, that which was first earthy should learn how to subject itself to that which is second spiritual. Your first birth is that of the flesh, but your second birth, it is that of the spirit. That's why Romans chapter eight and verse number six teaches us. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace because the carnal mind, according to the word of the Lord, is enmity, it is war against God. And so you have this understanding of the hatred of the older and the younger that starts in the Old Testament and the battle between the flesh and the spirit in the New Testament.
You and I must understand here tonight that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. And so we have these prectors, these things that are in the world today that are influencing us. Paul calls them seducing spirits. And the seducing spirits, they appeal to the flesh of man. They appeal to the carnality of man. And I just wanna talk about this just for a minute because we've got to realize what does seduction or the seducing spirits really mean. What it's trying to teach us about is this understanding that it appeals to what always feels good. It appeals to what always makes us feel light or makes us feel good for a moment. But you have to understand that sin always feels good for a moment. But when it is finished, it works death. And so the flesh is always going to be attracted to the seduction of spirits in the world.
But the spirit man, the real spirit, the light, not the light that is really darkness in disguise, but the true light, the light that is Jesus Christ, it will work in you and if you will allow it, it will bring the flesh into subjection. And that's why in our text tonight, we have to emphasize the beginning before we can get to verse number two. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. It is our service. It is reasonable for the God of heaven and earth to ask us to present our bodies a living sacrifice. This statement that is in contradiction, how can something be living and dead at the same time? How can something be a sacrifice on an altar and alive at the same time?
It is the understanding that the flesh must die so that the spirit might live, that we walk around every day, not living according to the flesh, but living according to the spirit because the spirit is life, that spirit which is in you, it is life and joy and peace and we must bend towards it before we leaned into the flesh. And so Paul says, he makes it clear, he says, you must present your bodies a living sacrifice. Romans 8.13 says, for if you live after the flesh, you shall die, but if the spirit or through the spirit, you do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live. That mortify is where you and I get the word mortician from. It means to make dead. You've got to force this to die. It's not something that wants to die. It's not something that wants to crawl upon an altar
and allow the things of self to fade away. It's not something that wants to subject itself to the altar, but if you mortify, if you make dead your flesh, then you shall live through the power of the Holy Ghost. That's why 1 Corinthians 2.11 says, for what man knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man which is in him, even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the things of the spirit of God. The spirit is the only thing that knows the things of God. And then he says, now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. What was he trying to say? He was trying to say that nobody had to teach you how to be a man.
You knew what it meant to be carnal in nature. You had the spirit of man within you. Mom and dad did not teach you how to steal. They taught you how not to steal. Mom and dad did not have to teach you how to lie. They taught you how not to lie. Mom and dad did not teach you how not to deceive. They taught you how not to deceive. Why? Because the spirit of man that is within him. That's why we used to be in a country that had a moral fabric that protected morality and decency among us. And now we're in a world where there is no moral fabric. Do what you wanna do. Live how you wanna live. Be what you wanna be. Friend, that's not according to the word. We are living in a world that is serving creature more than it is serving creator.
It serves self more than it serves the creator of self. We have to realize you've got to mortify the flesh. So it teaches us that the spirit of man teaches us the things of man. But the spirit of God. Go with me just for a few more moments tonight. The spirit of God. It teaches us the things of God. It teaches us what God likes. It teaches us the characteristics of God. It teaches us the path of which God wants us to take. Broad is the way that leadeth to destruction. But narrow is the way that leadeth unto life and few there be that find it. Friend, we are a blessed people that we found the way and the truth and the life and we must take heed in this hour to shut out the voice of the flesh and say let the spirit live from within us.
So Romans 12 and two says be not conformed to this world. We're gonna stop there. What does conforming to the world mean? You can get on just about any liberal college YouTube channel and hear them talking about conforming to the old social constructs. That a man should marry a woman and that you should have a family and that you should take care of your family. That a man should have one wife and he should love her and cherish her and keep her. These are old ways of thinking. We live in a world that wants to echo that it's cool that the more people, and I don't mean to be brash and rude, but I just wanna say what I feel tonight that the more people that you know in a biblical context, the better that you are. And it pushes all of these things and it tells you have your own identity,
live your own truth, walk according to your own path. And they say that there's no mold that you have to be formed to, but the reality of the matter is, is that there is a mold that it wants you to form to. There is something and it's conforming to the image of darkness. It's conforming to the image of the world, friend. You have to realize this is what he warned them about. He said, be not conformed to the world. They're gonna tell you live your own truth. Act how you wanna act. Do what you wanna do. Be who you wanna be. They do and they're saying you're living out your own way, but friend, you're really not, you're conforming to the world. That word conform literally means to mold to a form. Here's the issue about molding to the form of the world. The world is always changing.
You need to hear what I just said. The world is always changing. 20 years ago, 30 years ago, people in the world are in shock and awe at where the world is at now. Come on, somebody, you talk to an elder and you ask them if they would have ever thought that you would have the Olympics opening like they opened just a few days ago. Talk to somebody. It's shock and it's awe. That's what they wanna do. They wanna show you conform to us and then five years later, they've moved the mold and they've changed the mold and you never stop conforming to the image of darkness and watch, you're never good enough. You never have enough money. You never look right. You never dress right. It's always conforming to what's trending, conforming to what's mainstream, conforming to what is and friend, you've got to understand that's a weary way to live life.
That's a tiresome way to live life. I don't wanna conform to the world. Oh, I feel the anointing of the Holy Ghost coming on me right now. There's got to be something that says I'm sick of the conforming. I'm sick of my, I'm not trying to be rude or hurtful. Please know my spirit, but you gotta hear me. If you're always conforming to the world, you're gonna get weary. You're gonna get tired because they never quit moving the mark. That's why he said it's just a little leaven. That'll leaven the whole loaf. It starts as a little, but it doesn't finish as a little. Before you know it, there's leaven. That's leaven the whole loaf. It started as a little leaven. A little leaven, a little leaven. But it never quits working until there's death. It never quits working until you feel like you're not worth anything anymore.
It doesn't quit working until it's got you convinced to cut your wrist. Until it's got you convinced to commit suicide. There is a work of confirmation in this world that's trying to get you to keep pressing to the image of the mold. But the mold won't ever quit. The mold won't ever quit, that's why. That's cliche now in the day that we're living in. You can look at any movie star, anybody out there. And it's like they got all the fortune, all the fame, everything that they say that we want you gotta have. And what do they end up doing at the end of their life? Being depressed, sad, and commit suicide. Why? Because the mold always keeps changing. And if you don't change with the mold, you get canceled. But there's another option. Be not conformed to this world. But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.
That you might prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. There's a renewing of the mind. Let this mind also be in you, which was in. For man doth not know the things of God, but now we have the mind of Christ that has gained us access to think like God thinks to. Operate like God operates in. And it's all through the process of someone say transformation. I begin to look at this word transform. The word transform in the Greek means metamorphosis where you and I get the word metamorphosis from. It's to change. It's to, it's to take a permanent change. The best example that I can give this to you is found in the butterfly, the life of a butterfly. It does not start as the beautiful butterfly that it is, but it begins its life as a caterpillar. And through the process of metamorphosis,
it changes its image. It changes from what it was into what it was always destined to be. It changes to what it was initially created as to what it was always destined to be at the end process. And so that work of transformation, it's a road, it's a path, it's a process. And you have to understand that this word, this word transformation, it's only used in scripture twice outside of here in the book of Romans. The first time that it is used is in Matthew chapter 17, when Jesus is on the Mount of Transfiguration and he's up on top of the Mount with Peter, James and John and they look and he immediately shines as the glory of God comes upon him. What does he do? He transforms from his earthly vessel into the image of the glorified God. He goes from that which is earthy
to that which is heavenly. He changes images, he changes, oh man, I feel that he changes from what he is in here to what he's gonna be. And the other place that you read this is in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter three. And when you read 2 Corinthians chapter three, you find, if you can put that up there for me, 2 Corinthians chapter three. You read 2 Corinthians chapter three, verse number 18, it simply says, but we all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord. Now watch, and are changed. That word changed right there. It's the only other time outside of the Mount of Transfiguration and Romans 12 and two that the word metamorpho is used in reference. It's talking about changing. What does it say when it's talking about you and I? We have removed the veil.
We are looking in that word, a glass, it's not glass in the sense of something that you see through, but it's literally a mirror. It's saying you are beholding the glory of God as in a mirror. You're looking at the glory of God. You're looking at the face or at the image of glory. You're looking at this picture of the doxa, the glory of God, and you're changed into the same image. Hear that? The same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord. Huh, that's why when you're on this road of your first birth, it matters that you get the spirit. Because if you don't get the spirit, you don't have the ability to be changed. But when you're baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, now you are standing without the veil. Lord, help me.
And you're looking at the image, if I could just put it this way, of Jesus Christ. The perfect one, the holy one, the righteous one, the one that taught us how to walk, how to talk, how to live, how to do everything that He wants us to do. And you're standing there beholding the image. And He says, now you're on the road of transformation. And so every day that you present your body a living sacrifice, you ascend up and you take a placement before the face or the image of God. And He says, this is what you're supposed to look like. This is where you're at. Now let me help you. You look at Him and He looks at you and the process of transformation begins. And this is what He says. He says, this is what you are. This is what I need you to be.
Come over here, Nathan. Come sit over here. This is what He does. So He's standing here, right? Looking sharp, looking good. He's standing here. And He's been baptized in Jesus name. He's filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. And He's standing before the image. And He says, all right, I've got this negative quality about me. Let's just say we've got depression or suicides. And we've got anger. We've got jealousy over here. And we have pride over here. And we have addiction down here. And I'm not saying He has these things that we have bitterness down here. Come on, we have an unforgiving spirit down here. We have all of these things. And you're standing before the image of the only wise God. Now watch, watch, this is what He says. He says, this is where you're at. This is who you are. And then by the word of the Lord,
He says, this is who you need to be. Now watch, He does not call you to perfection. God help you. He calls you to change. Hear what I just said. Because I knew that was going to happen. See, you're already, look at the glory of God is already changing Him. That's how powerful He is. That's why somebody can be in this for 10 minutes or 50 years. Watch. And at the rapture of the church, hear me, when we're changed. The person that's been in this for 10 minutes and doesn't look like the person that's been in this for 50 years. Because they're moving in the right direction. When the rapture happens, they are both taken out of here and they're changed. Hear me. That's why it's not about your location. It's about your direction. Stay right there. Hear me. You're gonna fall and you're gonna make mistakes.
I feel the Holy Ghost right now. You're gonna do things you wish you wouldn't have done. Jealousy is gonna rise up. Bitterness is gonna rise up. An unforgiving spirit is gonna rise up. These things are gonna rise up. You're gonna make a mistake. You're gonna fall. You're gonna maybe, maybe, maybe you're the prodigal son. You backslid, you messed up. You made the mistake. You started going the wrong direction. Watch. You have an advocate. Oh God. We've got to get our mindset back on the power of true repentance. You've got to learn what it means to repent. That's why repentance does not mean take 30 seconds and just ask God, I'm sorry. No, turn. Sin is pulling you this way. Sin is pulling you this way. And then you turn. And now you're going the right direction again. That's why you repent until you feel yourself turned.
That's why you pray until you feel yourself turned. That's why you intercede until you feel yourself turned. That's why you shouldn't get off of an altar on a Sunday until you feel yourself turned. Come on, until you feel things begin to change in you. Until you feel things because it's not worth our salvation. It's not, if the rapture happens, friend, I want to be moving the right direction. I said, Lord, help me. And so it's not location, it's direction. You're on the road of transformation. He's already being transformed. And these things, these things, watch. He says, he says this, you want to talk about a great God? You need to think about how uneven the exchange is. I'm bitter. He says, all right, you're bitter. I'll trade your bitterness. If you'll let me, I'll trade your bitterness for joy. Well, I'm angry. Well, I'll change your anger and I'll give you peace.
If you want to talk about being ripped off, see, I don't like being ripped off. It kind of frustrates me. You ever know what I'm talking about? You just kind of give or sell something on Facebook Market and you know what it's worth. And they're like, I'll give you $7.50 for it. And you know as well as I know, it's worth a whole lot more. You're getting, it's an uneven exchange. Or somebody says, I'll offer you a trade. Yeah, I'll give you my clunker and you have this nice, and I'll take the knife. It's uneven, it's unbalanced. He says, I'm going to take unforgiving spirit. Come on. And I'm going to replace it with love. I'm going to take these things that have had you bound. And I'm going to give you love and joy and peace. Oh, and don't worry, I know you feel broken,
but before you leave this road of transformation, I'm going to put some wholeness on you. Come on, and you've got to learn, friend, that's why it matters that you get in his presence and you get in his glory. That's why it matters that we don't just pray for five minutes, but there's got to be moments where you pray until the glory of God falls. And he begins to remove the things off of you that are unlike him, and you transform. I'll leave all that on the floor, I want to step on it. I'm going to step on all the bad stuff. You take the good stuff with you. I'm going to step on all the bad stuff while I'm preaching. Now watch, watch. First John, chapter three. Beloved, man, that's great. Know ye not that you are the sons of God. Okay, someone say I'm a son of God.
This is just how it's been unfolding with me, so I hope it's making sense. Beloved, know ye not that you are the sons of God. Now, the book of Romans teaches us what it means to be a son of God. You are not a son of God unless you are led by the Spirit. Now remember, it is the Spirit that causes us to change. And so you have to be led by the Spirit if you're going to allow the work of transformation to take place. Everybody with me? The Lord showed me something, and I want to try to share it with you. And I know this might be a little different from dealing on Sunday night, but I really, I genuinely feel like if you'll go with me, this will help you. I begin to read this in Romans chapter 14, and I'm going to read it in the NLT.
Don't tear apart the work of God over what you eat. Remember, all foods are acceptable, but it is wrong to eat something if it makes another person stumble. It is better to not eat meat or drink wine or do anything else if it might cause another believer to stumble. You may believe there's nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who do not feel guilty for doing something they decide is right. But if you have doubts, someone say doubt, about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. Watch, for you are not following your, someone say your convictions, if you do anything you believe is not right, you, someone say me, we are sinning. This is the definition of personal conviction. Lord, help me right now. You have to understand there are biblical truths.
This says what we should and should not do, period. This is the floor of conviction, not the ceiling. That's why there's a difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. That's why the apostle Paul said all things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. He said this right here gives us the floor of conviction. And then you have to take it to account what Paul told Timothy, work out your salvation with fear and you know what's that line? Your salvation, God help me right now. Eternity is that line. I'm not talking about losing a thousand dollars at the stock market. I'm not talking about losing your wallet, walking down the road. I'm saying where you spend eternity is at stake. And that's why on the road of transformation you've got to be led by the spirit. Because when he appears,
he's going to come for the sons of God. Beloved know you not that you are the sons of God, but you are not a son of God unless you are led by the spirit. Everybody with me. And when he comes, this is all we know. We will be changed. And this way says, are you ready? Like him, I'm gonna take on the image of heavenly. Earth changes, earthy, immortal. This mortal puts on immortality. God, this changes. Well watch, you've got to allow while you're here, the spirit to lead you. Paul goes into great extent talking about how food is not sin. Now watch, remember what I said. The Bible is the floor of conviction. And he says, however, some of you think it's sin to eat bacon. Thank God I don't fall under that conviction. Listen, I feel like the Lord is gonna help somebody tonight.
Walk with the Lord. I feel like God's trying to teach somebody some things because you've been in the teeter totter of your walk with God. You've been struggling and not knowing. And God's saying, if you listen, I'm gonna show you what it means to walk. And this way says, he says, he says, it's not sin unless the Holy Ghost gives you doubt. Now watch, the Lord will work with your consciousness. That's why the apostle Paul said, my conscience bears witness with the Holy Ghost. That's why in Romans chapter 14, he said, if there is doubt, if there is unrest or uneasiness, I've had so many people ask me, how do you know the voice of God? How do you know the voice of the devil? I've never had one person ever say, how do you know the voice of the devil? It seems everybody knows his voice.
But it's like we're so unsure about when God is speaking. That's why Timothy was warned by Paul. He said, in the day of seducing spirits, he said, they're gonna sear their conscience. That's why Paul said, you've got to renew your mind. Because if you don't renew your mind, you're gonna struggle with transformation. So you've gotta get to an altar and you've got to pray until the mind that was in Christ. And when you get the mind of Christ through prayer, God begins the work of transformation. And you're walking. And all of a sudden the Holy Ghost says, I don't like that. And it bears witness with your conscience. That's the voice of God. That's God teaching you. I'm trying to take this depression because if you go in there, you're gonna expose yourself to something that is not right. Now watch, watch, watch. Brother Scott might be able to go there
because it's not his struggle. But that doesn't mean I can go there. Now watch, should I judge him if he doesn't? Should I say he's going to hell? No, because it clearly has not been convicted to him. By the way, now I'm not talking about biblical conviction and biblical separate. That's not what I'm preaching. I'm talking about things where God says, you know what, you've been battling pornography. You can't handle a laptop. But that doesn't mean pastor can't handle a laptop. And so you start working out your salvation with fear and trembling. And God puts you on the pedestal and the potter begins to spin the wheel. And he puts his hands on you and he says I'm gonna work on you. And the next thing you know, the hand of the Lord is shaping joy and peace and temperance into your life. Why? Because you're being led by the spirit
on the path of transformation. Lift your hands right now. The Holy Ghost is speaking us. Let me tell some of you. God's been speaking to you for a while. God's been talking to you for a while. And you're wondering, where's your joy at? Where's your peace at? Where's your hope at? Where's your rest at? Where's all of this at? I'll tell you where it's at. It's in glory. And if you'll get in his presence, he'll put you on the wheel and he'll measure you by the word of God. And the word of God will begin to work on you. And then the spirit that breathes this word, when you step out of that thing, it will move you and it will shake you. Can I just give a personal example? Just all right, I promise I'm almost done. We're gonna pray and then y'all can do
what you wanna do after that. Listen, I love watches. I love them, Pastor. I love watches. I know you do. I love them. I think they're so cool. I have like a whole closet full of them. I don't get to wear any of them. I'm just being honest with you. Now watch, this is just an example from Dylan. I put on a watch. I have a brown leather band, Orient automatic watch. I love it. Put it on one day, getting dressed for church. And I was like, man, brown leather band, brown leather belt, brown leather shoes. I look good. I know it's funny, right? It's a joke. It's supposed to be a joke. It's in the Lord. Listen, I know it's funny. I know this isn't Dylan. I'm not telling you you can't do this. I'm giving you an example of a watch is not worth salvation
or an iPhone is not worth salvation or social media is not worth salvation. Come on. And so I got convicted. I got mad that I got convicted. I was upset. I went to my wife and I said, I can't wear my watch anymore. I had to take it off, put it in the closet and hopefully one day that conviction will lift. If not, I'm gonna bless some of you brother in here with a nice watch. You know what rose up? Cry. And it's not worth salvation. You know, a few years ago, I was standing in an altar and the Lord spoke to me. He said, get off of social media. What? I love social media. The reels are great. I had to delete Instagram, Facebook, had to delete it all. And for three years, I couldn't have social media. I just now felt the release
to get Facebook again because I like posting pictures about my daughter. I'm that guy. But I genuinely, I prayed about it. And then I tried to get Instagram because everybody's got Instagram again. Is this all right on a Sunday night? Downloaded the app, was creating the account and there was that check again. Not yet. Because you're gonna give more time to that than you are this. And right now, I need you to focus on your wife, your daughter and the word. See, we don't think like this. But this is what the road of transformation is. It may be something that's not heaven or hell. It may be something that's not life or death. But it may make you more spiritual. It may make you hear the voice of God clearer. It might bring some peace that you've been looking for. Come on, some of y'all.
Maybe the Lord says you don't need cable in your life. Is it sin? I don't think so. If you protect your heart and what you watch. But friend, maybe it's what's separating you from hearing the voice of God. We've got to learn. I'm on the road of transformation. God's working on me. And I don't need the bitterness or the unforgiveness. Some of us, some of us and we'll get on, we'll get on social media. And it's not long before we feel so insecure because of the social media models on their young ladies feel like so insecure, so inadequate, so unable. Young men on their feeling like this is what it looks like to be a man in the last hour surrounded by girls having all the money, having all the followers. That's a lie. And if it teaches you and it pulls on you like that,
cut it out of your life. It's not worth eternity. Get rid of it and walk with God. And don't you dare judge another person if they have it. Let God work on them. And we're just going to walk on the road of transformation. Why? I'm trying to get to heaven. I want to be like him when he appears. When God shows up, I want to say Dylan's a son of God. Come and join me. Leave your mortality. Leave it here. Come up and be like me. Let's walk on streets of gold, Dylan. Let's look at a wall from Jasper. Let's lift our hands and let's worship. The Holy Ghost is here. Let the Lord speak to you right now. Let the power of the Holy Ghost speak to you right now. Man, I hear people. The Holy Ghost is speaking right now. Hear me. Hear me.
Some of you, some of you have battled things. You've battled things for far too long. You know where you are at when God asked you for it. And you pushed against the Lord. Nah, that won't send me to hell. Nah, that's not a biblical conviction. No. And you wonder why you have a hard time filling the presence of God now. It's because you've distanced yourself from the Spirit that's trying to teach you and guide you and work on you. I pray tonight we would have a moment of mental renewing. Some of us need to have a moment of turning. God spoke to you five years ago and said you don't need that in your life. God's speaking to you right now, and he's saying it's not worth eternity. Hear me. You're going to spend eternity somewhere. I've never felt eternity like I feel it right now.
I can't pray without thinking about heaven. I can't go an hour, it seems like, without thinking about eternity right now. You've got to feel it in your soul. Work your salvation out with fear and trembling. Let God mold you according to the image. You want to know the perfect image of it all. Christ, what Peter said, we are partakers of the divine nature. There's a divine nature that will add unto you brotherly love, that will add unto you kindness, that will add unto you humility, it will add unto you the things you've been searching for. You've got to be willing. Lead me, Lord, and I will follow anywhere you open up the door. Just lead me, Lord, and I will follow. I don't care. I don't care who's not. I don't care who's not doing it. I don't care who is doing it. Come on, I'm speaking to an elder right now.
I'm preaching to somebody you've been in the struggle. This isn't just for the middle age. This isn't just for the young people. This is for everybody. You've got to hear the echo and the call of the Almighty God right now. You've got to feel the weight of glory in this place right now. Come to the altar. Let's lift our hands. Come on, if you're feeling, come and lift your hands right now and let the Holy Ghost work on you. Come on, renew your mind. Renew your mind. Let this mind be in you, which also was in Christ Jesus. Come on, talk to Him. Talk to Him. Talk to Him. Talk to Him. Talk to Him. Come on, lift your voices when you get to this altar. Don't pray a short prayer. Come on, young people. Come on, raise your hands and start praying. Don't look around.
Come on. Come on, don't be desensitized to the echo of the Almighty right now. Don't be desensitized to the Spirit of the Lord right now. Let this mind be in you, which also was in Christ Jesus. Come on, let Him talk to you. Let Him whisper to you right now. Come on, walk with Him when you leave this place. When you wake up tomorrow, walk with Him. Come on, let Him speak to you. Come on, young people. Come on, young people. Come on, married people. Come on, come on, elders. Come on, come on, let the Lord speak to you right now. Come on, repent until you turn. Repent until you turn. Repent until you turn. Pray until you turn. Let this mind be in you, ask God what's standing in the way of greater honor. What's standing in the way of a deeper walk. God, what's standing in the way
of me hearing your voice more clearly. Come on, that's it.
