The Sixth Day Portion

Exodus chapter 16 verse number 22, if you have it say, amen, it came to pass that on the sixth day, they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man. And the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses, and he said unto them, this is that which the Lord hath said, tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto the Lord. Bake that which he will bake today, seeeth that which he will seeeth, and that which remaineth overlay up for you to be kept until the morning. Now Genesis 1, 31, and Genesis 2, 1 through 3, and God saw everything that he had made, and behold it was very good, and the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them, and on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had made,

and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made, and God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because in it he had rested from all his work which God had made. I want to preach to you today something that I feel is a word for the hour that we're living in on the sixth day portion. Would you set your Bibles down one more time? And if it's appropriate, I believe in the power of the unified body of Christ. Would you join with the person next to you right now? Would you extend their hand towards heaven? And could we pray that God would minister to this body today? Lord, I love you. Thank you for your word. You're a mighty God. Anoint me and use me for the glory of your kingdom. Let your word rest in my mouth. Take dominion over anything that would be a hindrance

against this service. I loose the gifts of the Spirit into this atmosphere right now. For we can do nothing God, but lest the Spirit does the work. So we lean not on our own understanding, but we lean and trust on you today, God. Minister to your body, let revelation flow and let me communicate your word accordingly as you will it today in the wonderful matchless name of Jesus. If you believe God's gonna do something great today, would you praise him in advance for it right now? Come on, somebody praise the Lord like you know he's worthy. Hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus, hallelujah Jesus. Amen, amen. You may be seated in Jesus' name. In the creation account, we learned that in six days God created the heavens and the earth. And the word of the Lord says that on the seventh day

he rested. Now there is a school of thought for men that are a lot smarter than I am that suggests that the seven days of creation would show us our timeline as God's people here on the earth. The Bible says in 2 Peter chapter 3 in verse number 8, but beloved be not ignorant of this one thing that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day. So there is a theory that the first six days of creation represent man's time here on the earth. That is why the Bible is very clear when it goes through the days of creation, when it goes through days one through six it says at the end of every creation account and the evening and the morning were that day. And so they put a chronological time on days one through six.

But when you get to day seven it says nothing about the evening and the morning. It just said that God finished from his work and he rested. One translation really says that he began to rule. He began to reign. Another begins to talk about how that is the time of which eternity begins for mankind. That it would be six thousand years that mankind is on the earth and that seventh year that God rested is the day that you and I will be with him together in the sky. And so if you look at the timeline of life you find that really from Adam's fall in the garden until Jesus' time here on the earth you have roughly four thousand years or if you want to look at it this way four days. And then you have on the other side of Jesus' life two thousand years which brings us roughly to where we are at

right now. I want to say this to everybody that's here today. I do not believe that the coming of the Lord is far away. I believe with everything within me that the Lord is about to come for his church. That the trumpet is about to sound and we will be caught up together with him. Amen. The Bible as a matter of fact says comfort one another with these words. It should not bring you fear when somebody talks about the coming of the Lord. If anything as a born again believer when somebody says Jesus is coming it ought to cause a shout. It ought to cause a hallelujah. It ought to cause you to praise him and magnify him because this world is not our home. Amen. And so if you look at it it is painted all throughout Scripture this six days of mankind and the seventh

representing that eternal moment that we will be with him. You can read Jesus talking about the days of Noah and he says this is what it's going to be like when the coming of the Lord is about to happen. It says as it was in the days of Noah so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be for as in the days that they were before the flood were eating and drinking and marrying and giving and marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark and knew not until the flood came and took them all away so shall the coming of the Son of Man be. You go back to Genesis chapter seven and you read what the Lord told Noah he said for yet seven days seven days I will cause it to rain. I'm giving seven days before I sin the judgment on

the earth and before God sins judgment he gets righteousness away from judgment. Amen. And so he also gives us a glimpse when you begin to read about Jesus's earthly ministry before he is transfigured on the mount. You read in Mark chapter nine and verse number two the Bible says and after six days somebody say after six days he take it with him Peter James and John and lead it them up into a high mountain apart from themselves and what happened after six days he was transfigured. He said I'm giving you a glimpse of what I'm going to be like when I get out of this earth. Why did he do it after six days because he was showing Peter James and John he was telling them you got to go tell people as I transfigured after six days when my coming is about to happen

you also will be transfigured. It was written like this this mortal will put on immortality come on oh death where is your sting oh grave where is your victory I'm telling you there is the coming of the Lord sooner than we have ever you got to believe church that Jesus is coming back and it is it is written all throughout scripture and you have to understand that when you begin to look at the last days the days that we are living in you can read what the Bible begins to talk about how there is moral and spiritual decline how people will be lovers themselves lovers of money boastful proud blasphemers disobedient to parents unthinkful unholy without natural affection lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God having a form of God but denying the power thereof I think if we could make a checklist you could go down each one of those and put

a check for the hour that we're living in mankind is exactly what the Bible said it would be at the coming of the Lord he said that there would be an increase of wickedness and lawlessness because the spirit of the lawless one has to be released so that they can accept the lawless one you go and look at the streets and what is happening in the riots and the things that are taking place on this earth what is it it is the spirit of the antichrist that is the lawless one being loosed on the earth so that they will accept him when he arrives moral relativism and rebellion against God's word will increase and we have seen that UCLA professor says there is no such thing as a neutral or objective claim this professor was explaining to the class that there is no such thing as a capital T truth

there is no right wrong no good or evil he taught this is just one example of the thousands that you find of the indoctrination that is in many of our schools right now trying to teach and indoctrinate the next generation that there is no truth because they're trying to turn people from Jesus who said I am the truth and they're trying to prepare them and they're trying to get them ready to accept the one that is the lawless one can I tell you there is one that is truth and his name is Jesus said that there would be an increase in natural and global disasters can we put a check by that one pestilences and things that are happening all over the world it says that nation would rise against nation you look at that it's not just talking about national lines it's ethnos versus ethnos it's talking about ethnicity

that's why in the world that we are living in the spirit of this age is trying to not just drive nation against nation but it's trying to make it all about a black versus white or another versus another instead of saying we are bought by the blood of the lamb he said I don't care if you're Jew I don't care if you're Greek I don't care if you're bond I don't care if you're free I don't care if you're male or if you're female we are one in Christ I rebuke the spirit of nation against nation ethnos against ethnos that would try to push us against one another we are in my mind I promised my wife I wouldn't get too rambunctious and I'm going against my promise right now she's got to put up with me after this service increase in natural and global disasters the things that we are looking at

can I tell you we are living in the sixth day we are living in the last hour of the church can I just pause here and talk to a guest right now somebody that may be here for the very first time the only way you're getting out of here is if you're baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost he's coming back for those that are in him friend can I tell you there's only one way you get in him you must be baptized in the name of the if you haven't been baptized today's the day if you haven't been filled with the Holy Ghost today's the day if you haven't been bought by the blood of the lamb I tell you like Peter said repent of your sins be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

be filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost somebody worship Jesus right now like you know who he is sixth day somebody say we're living in the sixth day but God does not leave his church unequipped or unready for the hour that we are living in the bible says that on the sixth day he did not give them a usual portion of manna now you have to realize what Jesus said in John chapter 6 he said I am that bread that came down from heaven your fathers ate that manna in the wilderness and they died he said but if you can get in me and get me in you what I'm going to give you will not let you perish in the wondering my lord have mercy some of you feel like you're wondering can I tell you you're going to perish with natural manna

the bread at olive garden you'll be hungry again afterwards the bread at carabas you're going to be I don't care how good it is you're going to be hungry but if you ever get the bread of life this is what he said he said I will not give you a usual portion on the sixth day he said every other day you need to gather one omer of bread but on the sixth day it's going to take more to get through because the seventh is coming God's coming back for his church and I know you're going to face things in this day that you may not have had to face at other days but I'm not going to leave you with a normal portion on this day on this day I will give you more than I have given anybody else at any other day can I tell you I believe God's gotten more for you than you had yesterday

I believe God he said in the prayer he said you better pray give me this day my daily bread he said I've got to give you daily bread I believe that every day that Jesus gives us our daily revelation that he knows how much revelation we need to get through the day and he'll measure it and he'll look at what you're going through and he'll look at the trials and he'll look at the tribulation that's happening in the earth and the situations that you're going through and he said I've already measured the revelation of me that you need to make it through this hour you just got to be spiritual enough to tune in to the manner I'm trying to give you in this moment let me just tell you if I could jump and spin I'd do it right now somebody needs to hear me

you might be going through a trial but God's measured how much you need to make it through you might be situationally in a struggle right now but God said I know how much manner you need I know what to give you to make it you get my my my somebody ought to lift your hands and worship right now somebody ought to lift your hands and let God give you a dose of what you need to make it right now somebody lift your voice and magnify him with me come on I feel the Holy Ghost moving right now be not weary and well -doing you will not faint if you hold on to the word you're gonna make it through hold on to the revelation get a word from God let the man a minister to you today he said tomorrow the rest is coming oh I want to see him look upon his face

oh I can't wait to walk on streets of cold no more pain no more sorrow no more agony no more heartache oh I want that eastern sky to part oh I want to get to the rest and I'll do whatever I gotta do I'll worship however I gotta worship God will not leave his church unequipped I feel liberty in this house right now somebody let the Holy Ghost minister to you just for a minute would you lift your hands lean your head back and let the sweet anointing of God fall fresh on you right now not only not only in the sixth day does he give you extra manner to make it until the rest comes but the bible also says that in the sixth year he said you've got to sow in the sixth year because the seventh year is coming where you got to let the land rest

and I won't let you harvest in the seventh year but he said this is what I'll do when you're in the sixth year and just sow when it doesn't really make sense to sow he said I'll give you three years in one when he told him he said you can't harvest you can't do anything on the seventh year the bible says that they asked the Lord what are we going to eat on the seventh year what are we going to consume on the seventh you're telling me that the sixth year is the last year that I can put a seed in the ground that's right that's the last year I'm going to let you try to have a harvest because the seventh is coming and when it gets here you can't harvest the seventh year but I'll send so much in the sixth year it won't just last through the sixth year

it'll carry you until I let you sow again maybe that's why Joel said I saw the storehouse overflowing with harvest because the latter and the former come together in the same year he said not only has God given us the harvest of this year but he's reaching to last year's harvest and he's reaching to the next year's harvest and he's putting them in the same year and it'll be so much that the building won't be able to hold it my lord maybe that's why we got to start having Jesus tent revivals maybe that's why we got to have outpouring crusades because in this hour we don't have enough room in our storehouses to hold everything God wants us to have and let me just go ahead and speak to a naysaying attitude that says well you know we had 98 get the Holy Ghost but where's the 98 that got filled with the Holy Ghost

why aren't they all coming to church can I tell you if all of them came to the churches we wouldn't have room for them I'm not for anybody getting through the gaps but I'm telling you we are not the Lord of the harvest we are the harvesters it's our business to put our hands on the plow it's his business to worry about the harvest why don't we just get busy with our hands on the plow why don't we get busy witnessing and reaching grabbing for somebody and let the Lord of the harvest handle what he does with the harvest my lord I feel the Holy Ghost in this house and so it is in the sixth year that God does not give a normal portion but he gives a double portion can I tell you that as a child of God it is your right to have a double portion

when you look throughout when you look throughout the scriptures you'll find that the firstborn son had the right to a double portion you'll see it that when when Jacob by the help of his mother deceives his father that he receives the double portion of the inheritance that was reserved for the firstborn Esau and I know we get critical of Jacob deceiving and I know we like to think well Rachel really shouldn't have done that but can I just can I just add this here for just a moment I think that it is the church's responsibility to position the spiritual man for the greater inheritance because the Bible says Jacob have I loved Esau have I hated because Esau represents the flesh and Jacob represents the spirit and that wife that aligned Jacob to receive the double portion represents the church I know I'm not trying to get out there in the weeds

but you have to understand the church should always be trying to position the spiritual man to receive all God has for them and so he achieves this double portion and then you start reading that in the days of the Exodus the Bible says in Exodus 4 and 22 and that shall say unto Pharaoh God speaking to Moses you tell Pharaoh thus sayeth the Lord Israel is my somebody say firstborn Israel is my firstborn they suggest somewhere between two to three million people come out and God says all of them are my firstborn you can't miss that he was saying I don't care who you are and I don't care how many of you there are if you're a part of my body you get the inheritance of a firstborn I am here to preach to Christians under the sound of my voice that are living below their spiritual means right now

help me holy ghost you're living in the last day and if you think you can keep living tapping into the small portion of your spiritual inheritance that you have to be who God has called you to be in this hour you're going to miss what God has for you in this hour and so you read that it says in the book of Romans for whom he didn't know he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the firstborn among many brethren and a few verses earlier it says and if children then heirs heirs of God and join air somebody say join airs join airs with Christ if so be that we suffer with him we may also be glorified together watch what he says Christ is the firstborn but if you are Christ everything he gets in his inheritance so do you

he was saying you too are a son I'm here to tell you you are not a servant you are not a beggar you are a child of the living god if you have been baptized in his name and filled with the gift of the holy ghost and it is not his will for you to have the portion that you're living with he wants you to have awe that he desires for you to have in this hour and so he starts showing you that sonship is the path to double if you'll be a son I'll give you what's yours now let me help you because I've said this before and I think it's hilarious scriptural context doesn't say that we're sons and daughters but it also says that I'm a bride so girls you got to be a son in this in this message I just need you to be okay with that

and fellas we have to be a bride in the end time and we're just going to have to be okay with that it's just biblical language all right but he says he says you're you're a son and so through sonship you can spiritually obtain a double portion watch this you find Elisha and Elijah right anybody know about those two great men Elijah brushes him with the mantle and he just keeps on walking and Elisha runs to him and says hey Hoss let me go tell my mom and dad by put the oxen back put the yoke back and he says what do you mean what do I have to do with you I'm going on you have a decision to make are you going with me and without a second thought the bible says he burns the oxen and the yoke now according to Jewish tradition do you realize that that was a dismembering of himself from his

natural family he was saying I am renouncing myself of my natural inheritance to obtain whatever this man that I just met 30 seconds ago says God has for me I know I know we read the bible and we're like wow that's cool if somebody walked by you and slapped you with a coat and said come with me what would you do are you are you gonna are you gonna burn your natural inheritance and follow after the call of God in your life come on somebody can I tell you you will never give up in the natural to which God does not give back tenfold in the supernatural and I'm telling you you'll never turn of anything from the world when you turn to God and put your back on the things of the world God says I'll give you more than you ever thought you could have I'll give you the desires of your heart you know what I love

about my God I grew I like I used to I used to work on a farm and and when I when I was living in Louisiana the pastor I was working for had a lot of cattle and I got to got to work his cattle and and we knew how many cows he had we would say he has 30 head of cattle that's that's how we that's how we measured and in the bible days cattle was a great sign of great wealth you want to know how wealthy your God is he doesn't say I have this many cattle your God is so wealthy he says I have to count the heels because I've got too many cows to count the cows I've got a cattle on a thousand heels your God has so much so many resources so much at his disposal he said I can't even count how many head of cattle I have

let me just put it to you this way I got a thousand heels over there and I don't know how many cows I got running around but I own all of them and so Elijah says I want to burn it all he said he says I'm done with my natural inheritance whatever mommy and daddy were going to give me in the natural I'd give it up to follow Jesus no misunderstand me I'm not saying go to work tomorrow and quit your job but too many times we allow natural things to sway us away from our spiritual potential too many times we're allowing natural things to stop us from receiving all God has for us in the spirit so he says I'm going to burn it now watch this is all we know about Elisha for the next few years what is he doing watering the hands of a prophet positioning himself in a

posture of servanthood and then finally after two separate times of of Elijah saying stay here no I'm not leaving you where you go I go stay here no I'm not leaving you where you go I go finally the third time he says stay here he says no I'm going where you're going Elijah says what do you want from me he says I'll tell you what I want I want a double portion of your spirit in my youth I've always thought that meant Elisha was saying I want to pray more people through to the Holy Ghost I want to see more miracles I want to have more than you ever had in the spirit that's not what he was asking for the double portion was reserved for the firstborn son he said I'm not looking to be more powerful or greater he said I just want to know

when you leave this earth that people look at me and say he's Elijah's son that's why when the chariots pick him up and carry him away he does not scream out master master or lord lord you want to know what Elisha cries out when he sees Elijah being carried away he says my father my father we say it like this wherefore the spirit allows us to cry out Abba father when you're filled with the Holy Ghost it's the first cry Abba it's the cry of endearment it's what Jesus said in the garden he said Abba let this cup pass from me nevertheless not my will but thy will be done he was saying it's not about what I want God but I am coming to you as an endearing son saying let it pass from me you want to know that's why Paul could write things like you can boldly enter into the throne room of grace because you have the

cry of Abba you have the cry of endearment can I tell you today you are a son of the most high god if you have been baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost and you have a right to to cry the cry of endearment and say dad I need you in this hour oh I need you to touch my mind I need you to minister to my family I need you to touch my body right now you want to try it right now you want to lift your hands and just talk to him like you would talk to an earthly father like a loving father that loves you no matter what hallelujah Jesus my my my my my my I'm telling some of you in the Holy Ghost right now you need to hear me he loves you I said he loves you he loves you he cares for your soul you are his son

you are the apple of his eye he cares about your hurts he cares about your problems he cares about where you're at right now he cares about what you're going through and you can say Abba I need you my my my my somebody say I need you Jesus come on I'm telling you I feel ministering spirit walking into this house right now I feel the ministering angelic host of heaven stepping into this house right now I feel like the Abba God is trying to show you I love you I care for you I am endeared towards you I am reaching for you I want you to be a part oh it loves you enough that he said I will rope myself in flesh and I will die I will die for you I want to help some of you right now the first thing when Elisha comes back over the river the first thing the other sons of the

prophet notice about him is this notice this that he was walking in the spirit of Elijah he had become like the one he was following the other sons of the prophet could not claim likeness and there are too many people running around claiming to be a son of Jesus Christ that don't have his likeness and if you don't have his likeness you can't get the second cry of father that's why it says those that are led by the spirit of God those are the ones that are called the son of God Elisha's walking with Elijah is what produced likeness if the only time you're a Christian is on Sunday you are not bearing his likeness and it's why you struggle Monday through Saturday but when you walk with him when you take him by the hand when you are with him when you wake up and you go to work with him when you come home

and you sit down at the dinner table with him when you go to bed with him when you leave your family with him it is in those moments you are like I'd rather have likeness than power any day I'd rather people look at me and know who's I am Bible says the antichrist will do miracles what spirit is your source of power coming from because Simon the sorcerer also had ability in the spirit but it wasn't the right spirit and I'm just going to tell you there are deceiving spirits in this hour and not every goose bump is of God and if you're testing all of your spiritual potency by how many goose bumps you get and how much power you think you have but you aren't producing a likeness I question what spirit you're of and I just hit something right there we're going to walk with him tomorrow oh I want to be like Jesus

I said oh I want to be like Jesus not perfect there's only one that's perfect a righteous man fell a seven times a day but the difference between a righteous man and an unrighteous man is a righteous man gets up repents and tries to get it right again I gotta hurry this this chair is making me be long winded brother Whitley when I'm standing my feet start hurting I'm really comfortable and I'm getting dangerous right now I want you to understand something you need to bear his likeness that's why it says beloved we don't know what we're going to be like we just know we're going to be like him when he shows up that's why Peter said we are partakers of his divine nature right now right now right right now that's why Paul said I've got this warring within me I've got this thing that that that's the flesh that doesn't do what what I wanted

to do but then there's something else in me there's another member that's there there's this spiritual thing that's saying I'm not giving up I'm going to keep pressing I'm going to keep trying I'm I'm going to keep going back to the throne I'm going to keep approaching my father I'm going to keep trying I'm going to get back up and I'm going to go with some of you need to get a getting back up spirit you've been knocked down too long dust yourself off get a revelation of who your god is get back in the throne room get back to your ministry and be used of god my my my I feel the holy ghost right now the issue is is we we have this prolonged spiritual immaturity that keeps us from stepping into our potential and receiving the six -day portion that god has for us too many of us are remaining spiritually in the shallow end

I'm saying this out of love and I and I hope you feel that not this is not anger this is passion because I feel god reaching for some folks today you're living below your potential in christ and it is spiritual immaturity that will rob you of having what god has for you in the parable of the prodigal and I think I've taught this here before the bible says in luke 1511 that it wasn't that he just gave it to the younger brother that we always talk about it said that a certain man had two sons and then it says that he divided unto them his living now if he's only got two sons who got the living we know the younger brother asked for it but that means at the time when the father was dividing his goods he said I can't just give it to the younger one I've got to give to my older son as well they both receive the portion of

their inheritance and I know I believe in the restoration of prodigals but I'm going to tell you we've got too many backslidden in the church right now you don't have to leave to backslide I believe that those that are living below their spiritual potential are just as wrong as the one who leaves and waste his is this all right why are we living below our means spiritually that's why when the younger or the older brother gets frustrated at the fact that the father throws the party when the prodigal comes home he looks at him and he says in luke 1531 all that I have is thine he said look around buddy I tell you where you look if you want to know what's yours he says you do air to not know the scriptures my people perish for a lack of knowledge you want to know what god has for you it's in the book so watch all that I have is thine

any moment you wanted anything that was in my storehouse you could have just went and got it but you didn't have the spiritual intuition to ask ask and it shall be given knock and it shall be opened come on seek thank you and you shall that's what I'm talking about you've got to open some things up in the spirit right now you've got to look at the thing you're going through and say I am a child of the living god you've got to rise above your spiritual immaturity step into the level of spiritual maturity god has for you tap into the vein of the spirit that god has for you and rise above come on it is not the will of god my my my and so he answers father says I've been serving you all these years yeah I know you've been acted like a servant that's why my servants

know more about the party than you do people that don't even have the inheritance that you have know more about what's you know I just I just heard a fox news clip and this is what it said about this revival that's sweeping across college campuses across north america right now this is what it said it said that there is a great spiritual awakening in north america right now and this is what it said are you ready it says it is an undeniable momentum direct quote from fox news there is an undeniable momentum in the spirit that is surging through the world right now and too many of us are sitting around living underneath our means when god's saying it's the hour for you to have the six -day harvest it's the hour for you to have the six -day inheritance you've got to rise right now and be who and what I've called you to be would somebody stand

onto your feet right now lift your hands and begin to pray like you know who's you are want you to lift your voice just for a few more seconds god's trying to stir some of you today it's not enough for you to just come on sunday it's time for you to put some roots down in this thing this is why paul said a servant differeth nothing from a son though he be lord of all he said that spiritual slavery is the same thing as spiritual immaturity and the reason that some of you are living in spiritual bondage is not because god doesn't want you to be free it's because you're living spiritually immature in your walk with god and heaven is trying to tell you there's more for you i've got more for you than coming and getting a goosebump on this sunday i've got more for you than you just coming and enjoying a good service

i've got more for you than you leaving as soon as the altar call is called and going back to your comfortable home i've got more for you i've got things for you that you have never encountered before the first cry was abba but the second cry was father now that second father is peter in the greek and it's in reference to something called peter femileus it's what we would see as a power of attorney one who has the ability to make decisions on behalf of the family he says you have two cries as a son of god the first is this you can cry abba to get him moving towards you but the second cry is this now i need you to do something in this place and by the power of the word of god and by the authority that's only in the name of the lord jesus christ i pray right now it gets loosed in my family

it gets loosed over my mind it gets loose you feel that you feel that right there come on how how long are you going to live below your means how how long are you going to live below what god has in store for you how long are you going to be an older brother just barely escaping by and the servants are enjoying more of the father than you can telling you in the holy ghost there's a six -day portion for you right now there is a portion for the hour that we're living in that god is going to unlock to you if you would allow him to do it in your life but god is a respecter of persons and he is a gentleman and he will not force things on you this is what i'm going to ask right now we're about to have an altar call this is what i'm going to ask would you put your hands down just for a
