Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The text: now — and don't neglect the gift
- He reads the designated text, 1 Timothy chapter 4: verse 1 — 'Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils'; verse 2 — speaking lies in hypocrisy, their conscience seared. Two key words: NOW, and SOME — some is not all.
- He skips down to verse 12 and reads through verse 16: 'Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers... Give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee... Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine.'
- His mission tonight: to mobilize this generation of students — 'it's time for you to move in your purpose now and stop neglecting what God is calling you to do.' His thought: his mission, my moment — his mission in my moment.
Scriptures: 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 1 Timothy 4:12-16
Day-tight compartments
- William Osler, the father of modern medicine and a founding professor of Johns Hopkins, was a 21-year-old medical student at the point of a nervous breakdown when he read a sentence by the Scottish historian Thomas Carlyle that changed his life: 'Our main business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand.' He began to live in 'day-tight compartments.'
- Benjamin Franklin said one today is worth two tomorrows; John Maxwell said we exaggerate yesterday, we overstate tomorrow, and underestimate today. 'You are not waiting on God — God is waiting on you.'
Now is the time
- Revelation chapter 12: the enemy of our soul has come down with great wrath because he knows he has but a short time — even the devil knows how precious this time is.
- Paul said in Ephesians chapter 5 that we should walk circumspectly, not as fools, redeeming the time, because the days are evil; the Psalmist wrote in Psalm chapter 90 that we need to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
- Stop using your age as an excuse: Jesus was only twelve years old when he said he must be about his Father's business.
Scriptures: Revelation 12; Ephesians 5:15-16; Psalm 90:12
David didn't wait
- David was about fifteen when he was anointed king — and the anointing sent him back to the sheep and back to serving: 'Anointing doesn't bypass serving; it ties you to the serving.'
- In 1 Samuel 17 he is only running an errand — bread and cheese for his brothers — when he hears the uncircumcised Philistine mocking God and asks, 'Is there not a cause?' Saul objects: you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war since his youth. 'If Goliath could start when he was a youth, why can't David start when he is a youth?'
- 'If you're old enough to be attacked, you're old enough to be anointed. If you're old enough to be tempted, you're old enough to be trusted.' If David had waited until he was older, he would have missed his moment.
Scriptures: 1 Samuel 17
This is that
- The book of Acts is not the book of intentions: the 120 did not sit in the upper room saying 'one day we've got to do this.' Peter stood up and said, 'This is that' — he did not say this was that, or this will be that.
- 'In Acts chapter two, Joel chapter two became a reality': 'It shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.' We must stop reading Acts chapter 2 like a prophecy — it's a reality.
- 'The answer for your past is repentance. The answer for your future is trust. But the answer for your present is action.'
Scriptures: Joel 2; Acts 2
His own road in
- He received the Holy Ghost on July 4, 2010, at nineteen, a freshman in college — the first in his family — and was baptized in Jesus' name. 'God did not do all of that for me to attend church three times a week and just sit there and do nothing.'
- Exposed in the choir (he could not sing his tenor part), he got out of the choir and started where he knew to start: driving the church van, picking people up, knocking on doors, teaching Bible studies — then volunteering his one off day, vacuuming the church, cleaning, week after week. He never dreamed God would call him to preach.
- When God told Moses what to tell Pharaoh — 'I AM THAT I AM' — He showed Himself a very present God: not what God is going to do, but what He is doing right now.
The harvest is ready
- Paul told the church at Corinth: today is the day of salvation, and now is the accepted time. 'What's the best time to pray? Now. What's the best time to start? Now.'
- In Matthew chapter 9, Jesus saw the multitudes and was moved with compassion, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few — the only thing missing in the harvest is people who will work.
- In John chapter 4 he tells the disciples not to say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest': lift up your eyes — the fields are white already to harvest. It's the fourth quarter, and God doesn't put bench players in with the game on the line: 'Put me in the game, Coach.'
Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 6:2; Matthew 9:36-38; John 4:35
Give Him what's not enough
- At the altar: 'There is therefore now no condemnation' — 'God factored in your frailty, your mistakes, your past, your family — He factored all that in, and He still called you.'
- In John chapter 6, a lad has five loaves of bread and two fish: 'It's not enough to feed everybody, but it is enough to feed somebody' — the miracle happens when what is not enough is put into the hands of a God who is more than enough.
- He calls Pastor Billy Ham, Pastor Corey, and the team to the platform and closes in prayer for the students: 'God is not in the business of trying to replace you — He wants to redeem you, and He wants to use you... I am available.'

First Timothy chapter four and verse number one, it's Paul writing here to Timothy, his protege, the younger generation. And he says this in verse number one, now, everybody say now. He says, now the spirit is speaking expressly, that in latter times, some shall depart from the faith, given he to seducing spirits and doctrines and dels. There's two key words that I want to focus on before we move on. The first is the first word and that is now. I believe God is doing something now. It talks about people walking away from the faith. And the second word I want to highlight is the word some. Some is not all. Some is not everybody. We are not of that number. We're not walking away. We're not given in to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. But he says in verse two, they're going to speak lies and hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron. But then he skips down in verse number
12 and he brings it home to Timothy. And this is what he says. Timothy, let no man despise thy youth. I know there are some that are walking away and they don't even have a conscience anymore. But Timothy, I'm talking to you right now. You don't let anybody despise your youth, but instead be thou an example of the believer in word and conversation and charity and spirit and impurity. He says till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation and to doctrine. Then he says this in verse 14. And by the way, Timothy, I don't want you to neglect the gift that is in you. I want everybody in this room to hear me right now. There is, I believe a gift that God has put in you. And I've come to serve that tonight and let you know it's not time to sit on the gift that God gave you. Don't neglect it. He put it there for a reason. Come on,
you have a purpose in the kingdom of God. Everybody in this building, you have a purpose in the kingdom of God. Neglect, not the gift that is in you. He says, meditate upon these things. Verse 15. Give thyself holy to them that thy profiting may appear to all. He says in closing, take heed unto thyself and to the doctrine and continuing them. For in doing this, you're going to save yourself and them that hear thee. He says, now the spirit is speaking. And Timothy, it's not time to neglect the gift that God has given you. Here's my mission tonight. I believe God has sent me here tonight to mobilize the generation of students and heighten and even adults that it's time for you to move in your purpose now and stop neglecting what God is calling you to do. Tonight is the night that we deal with the issues, the excuses and the procrastination. Tonight is the night that we make good on
the things that we've been telling God we were going to do. I want to appreciate tonight from this thought his mission, my moment, his mission in my moment. One more time, if you would just lift up your hands and pray with me, Jesus, we love you. God, I'm so thankful to be in your presence. So thankful for the glory of God that has manifested in this room. God, I'll thank you for the people that have labored tirelessly. I pray refreshing upon them even now. God, I pray that you would refresh their minds and their spirits. God, the students and the young adults that have come into this room tonight with questions, needing answers with direction that they need. God, I pray that the Holy Ghost would bring clarity tonight. Jesus, I pray that you would speak expressly even now in this service. I bind anything that would try to hinder or oppose what you're doing tonight that you will be done in Toledo,
Ohio. Give us this day our daily bread. God, I pray that you would speak to your people tonight in the name of Jesus Christ. Somebody's saying Jesus' name. I want you to have five, three people and say I'm so glad to see you and you may be seated. Everybody say my moment. William Osler is known by many as the father of modern medicine. It was Mr. Osler that was accredited with developing the first residency programs for nurses and doctors. It was Mr. Osler that decided that medical students needed to leave the lecture hall and step into a hospital room for bedside training. Mr. Osler is one of the founding professors of one of the most prestigious schools in our country, Johns Hopkins. But before he became the trailblazing father of modern medicine, he attributes a life-changing moment when he was 21 years old. When he was 21 years old, he was a medical student and he was at the point of a nervous
breakdown and he accredits reading a sentence that was written by a Scottish historian named Thomas Carlaw. Mr. Osler says, when I read this sentence, just 22 words, it changed my life forever and it forever altered the trajectory of my destiny. These 22 words read as follow, our grand business undoubtedly is not to see what lies dimly at a distance but to do what lies clearly at hand. Mr. Osler credits these 22 words with changing his life and he says, from reading that sentence, I begin to live in what I would describe as day-tight compartments. He said, I stopped focusing on the past. I stopped worrying about the future and I just started seizing the opportunity of today. Tonight I stand before people that I know undoubtedly God has a plan and a purpose for your life. But I want to challenge you tonight, stop delaying your destiny in the kingdom of God. Benjamin Franklin stated that one today is worth two tomorrows. It
was John Maxwell that said, we exaggerate yesterday, we overstate tomorrow while underestimating today. I believe there is an urgency in the spirit tonight that God has sent me here with a word to encourage every student and let you know you are not waiting on God. God is waiting on you. Revelation chapter 12 tells us that even the enemy of our soul, he knows how precious this time is because he has come down with great wrath because he knows he has but a short time. It was Paul that said in Ephesians chapter five that we should walk circumspectly not as fools and we should redeem the time because the days are evil. The Psalmist wrote in Psalm chapter 90 that we need to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. We must stop looking at our ministry and our purpose and our destiny through a future tense filter and understand that now is the time for us to get our
hearts right with God. I want to let you know that if you are far away, now is the time to draw nigh. If you are cold, now is the time to get fired up. If you are not involved, now is the time to get plugged in. Now is the time. If you are in darkness, now is the time to come to the light. Now is the time. Stop using your age as an excuse. Jesus was only 12 years old when he made the statement, I have got to be about my father's business. Make up your mind right now. Basketball is not going to be more important than Jesus. My career is not going to be more important than Jesus. My schoolwork is not going to be more important than Jesus. Now is the time. Most theologians suggest that David was 15 years old when he was anointed to be king. Now we understand that the anointing to be king did not send him
right to the throne. You know where the anointing sent him? It sent him back to the sheep and back to the pastor because if you're going to be an anointed teenager, the best thing that you can do, the best thing that I can do is serve. Anointing doesn't bypass serving. It ties you to the serving. I want you to know that today is a critical day for you to make up your mind. You know what? I'm going to get involved in my local church. I want a purpose. I want to do something. I don't need the microphone. I don't need the singing. I just want to serve. Why? Because God has anointed me to do something in the kingdom of God and I'm not just going to wait around. I'm going to get engaged. I'm going to get involved. God uses people that do something and I want to do something. I don't believe it's God's will for me to come to church
three times a week, sit on the chair and go home. No. I believe God saved me for a reason. I'm not going to sit in a corner and pray that I make it to the rapture and just pray that I don't backslut. No. I believe that God has saved me for a reason. One chapter after David was anointed to be king. The Bible says he goes back to the sheep and then one day his father says, I got an errand. I want you to run. What do you need me to do? Dad, David's father tells him, I got some food. I want you to bring your brothers. They're down in the valley and there's a war going on and I want you to bring some sustenance to your brothers. What was David doing? He was still serving. He wasn't looking for anything. He was serving. I'm just going to be obedient to the role and to the commands of my father. So the
Bible says that it gets the bread in hand. He's just an Uber. He's a delivery guy. He's on his way to the valley. He's on his way to do what his father has told him to do. He's not looking for an opportunity. He's not looking for a giant. He's not looking for anything. He's simply serving. But the Bible says the closer he gets to the valley, he begins to hear a voice that he doesn't recognize. It is not the voice of one of his brothers. It is not the voice of an Israelite. But the Bible says it is the voice of an uncircumcised Philistine who for 40 days had been mocking God and he had been mocking the people of God. And David shows up and he has a question. He's wondering, does anybody hear what this giant is saying? Is anybody going to do something? In fact, David asked the question, is there not a cause? He's wondering why nobody is doing
anything about the giant. And so David shows up and he said, listen, I know I'm not here to fight. I know I've never been trained to be in the military. I understand that I'm just a teenager and I'm just here to bring cheese and bread to my older brothers. And Jesse is expecting me back any moment now because I left the sheet with the keeper and I got to get back to doing what I know to do. But in the meantime, is anybody going to do anything about the giant? David tells his brothers, I want you to go tell Saul. He don't have to be afraid. I know he's head and shoulders over everybody. I know he would be the closest in stature to Goliath, but I want you to let Saul know he don't have to be afraid. David has showed up and I'm willing to take care of the giant. But the Bible says in 1 Samuel 17 that Saul is
not so convinced because he says to David, he says, David, you are not able to go against this Philistine because you are but a youth, but he has been a man of war since his youth. Here's what Saul was saying. David, the very thing that disqualifies you is the very thing that qualifies Goliath. But here would be my question to Saul. Pastor Corey, if Goliath could start when he is a youth, then why can't David start when he is a youth? This is what I believe about this generation, that if you're old enough to be attacked, you're old enough to be anointed. If you're old enough to be tempted, you're old enough to be trusted. If you're old enough to be spirit-filled, you're old enough to be spirit-led. If you've been baptized in the name of Jesus and you are a recipient of the Spirit of God, I've read the Bible through many times. I've never read an AIDS requirement for the anointing
or for the power of God. If you've got the Spirit, you've got it now. You just have to make up your mind. If nobody else is going to do it, I'll do it because I'm called to do something in the kingdom. If David would have waited till he was older, he would have missed his moment because what you must understand is time may be measured in minutes, but life is measured in moments and there's going to be divine moments in your life and they're going to happen now. I rebuke the lie that you have to wait till you're 25 and 30 years old to be used by God. Here's what I believe. You can be used in the Spirit now. You can be powerful now. You can make a difference now. You can preach now. You can sing now. You can teach Bible studies now. You can witness to the laws now and you can slay the giant now, but you just have
to make up your mind. I'm tired of waiting. I'm tired of doing nothing. God, if you're looking for somebody, here I am. I wish there'd be a young person that would throw your hands in the air and let God know I'm available. Make up your mind. Today is the day. Sometime ago in prayer, I was praying about this generation and I felt like the Lord spoke to me and said, you must tell students they cannot get so trapped between memories and prophecies. Memories talk about what God has already done. Prophecies tell us what God is going to do, but here's what I want to know. Why don't we talk about what God is doing right now? I'm thankful for the stories of the Bible. I'm thankful for the stories of days gone by in the 80s and 90s and 2000s, 2015 and 16. I'm thankful for what God's going to do in the future, but you know what I'm most excited about? What
God is doing right now, the miracles that can happen right now, the breakthrough that can happen right now, the young men and young women that can step into Applesallica, Newington, now. But I've been a youth pastor. I've been in the church for 13 years. I never got to be a young person in the church. I was 19 when I got the Holy Ghost. I've been in the church for 13 years. Pastor Dillingham, I've been a youth pastor for 10. My pastor had a lot of faith in me, but here's why we love talking about, I'm going to just be real with you for just a moment. Here's why we love talking about our calling and our ministry and what God's going to do in a future tense, because a future calling, future anointing, future destiny will dismiss you from present responsibility. You can dismiss your laziness and your prayerlessness and the carnality. Because, well, I'm actually not preaching yet. I'm actually not a
missionary yet. I'm actually not singing yet. I'm not doing what God, but I'm going to. And if we're not careful, we'll slip into this when and then mentality that when I actually step into it, then I'll start living right. When I get married, then I'll guard my morals and my purity. When I actually start preaching and when I'm a missionary, when I go on the ministry trip, then I'll start praying and studying and making sure my life is right. But what God is wanting to know is, will you pray now? Will you be serious now? Will you stop playing games now? Will you step into your purpose now? Will you stop putting it home and stop saying, this is what I'm going to do and start saying, this is what I am doing? I'm not talking about something God is going to do. I know he's going to do great things, but here's what I want you to know. He is doing great
things. When God told Moses, this is what I want you to tell Pharaoh. Tell him I am that I am. You have to know that your God is a very present God. You just have to make up your mind. I'm tired of waiting. I'm tired of procrastinating. I'm tired of talking about it. There's been too many altar calls. When I tell God what I'm going to do and how I'm going to pray and how I'm going to read and what I'm going to go home and change, it's time tonight that you actually do what you tell God you were going to do. No more excuses. No more procrastination. No more delaying. Tonight is my night. This is his mission, but this is my moment. God, you placed me here in 2023 and I'm not going to wait to another moment. I am anointed. I am powerful. I am called. I am chosen. Somebody lift up your hands and declare it. I'm telling a
young person, if you want it, you can have it. You just have to go after it. Stop the legion. Stop putting it off. Come on. Lift up your voice. The Bible that we love and the book that we cherish within that Bible is 28 chapters of normal men and women change in the world. How is the book of Acts? Here's what it's not, the book of intentions. You know how the early church changed the world? They didn't have all the answers. They didn't have proper training. They had the Spirit of God, the Word of God, the name of Jesus. But when 120 people received the gift of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost, here's what they did not do. They did not sit in the upper room and say, one day we've got to do this. One day we've got to go to Jerusalem and one day we've got to go to Samaria. One day we've got to go to the
uttermost parts of the world. No. The Bible says that it began to be noise abroad and they stumbled out of the upper room into the streets and everybody thought they were drunk. Everybody thought they were crazy. But you know what Peter stood up and said, I want you to know that this is that. Notice Peter did not say this was that. He did not say this will be that. He said, you know what God is doing? This is that. I want you to know that in I chapter two, Joel chapter two became a reality and this is no longer a prophecy. This is what God is doing. I want you to know tonight, the answer for your past is repentance. The answer for your future is trust. But the answer for your present is action. It's time for you to get moving. It's time for you to get mobilized. Part of the end time prophecy when God said that he was going to
pour out his spirit upon all flesh. Right after he said that he makes this statement through the mouth of the prophet Joel that Peter reiterated in Acts two and Joel chapter two it says it's going to come to pass afterward that I'm going to pour out my spirit upon all flesh. It was a prophecy in Joel chapter two. But in Acts chapter two Peter wanted them to understand we're not crazy. This is the fulfillment of the prophecy. But in Acts chapter two it's no longer a prophecy. Now it's a reality. We must stop reading Acts chapter two like it is a prophecy. It's not a prophecy. It's a reality. God started something in Acts chapter two but it's not just him pouring out his spirit upon all flesh. He said there's going to be sons and there's going to be daughters who prophesy. There's going to be a younger generation who begins to walk in the spirit and I just come to challenge
you tonight that now is the time that you step into this is that. Come on is there anybody besides me that's tired of hearing somebody else's story of what God has done and somebody else's miracle and some I want to see it for myself. When I got the Holy Ghost at 19 years old I was the first person in my family to be spirit field. Now I'm thankful 13 years later I was not the last but I just couldn't help but to believe that God didn't go through all the trouble for dying for me and shedding his blood for me but more than that he reached for me as a freshman in college God reached for me and then I had a dream about my family being lost and I went to church on July the 4th 2010 and I received the gift of the Holy Ghost and when I got baptized in Jesus name Pastor Corey I just couldn't help but to
believe that God did not do all of that for me to attend church three times a week and just sit there and do nothing so you know what I did I was a new convert I immediately went through the scholarship class I said man you know what if I want to make a difference I got to problem is I'm told death I didn't know it because I don't have a wife at the time I can't sing at all so you know what I would do about the first song I would just take off running the aisles got me out of the choir one day during practice my first lady said hey somebody's off in the tenor section I was like oh god here it is but to get exposed at car practice she said I'm jerking everybody else be quiet jerk can you sing your part I was like no ma'am I was like she said please I can't I started sweating I
started shaking I was like oh no I can't do this she said okay let's sing it again so I started I decided to lip sing just she said okay everything sounds great I was like yeah I gotta get out the choir I am the problem in the tenor section I got out the choir I went to my pastor so pastor I can't be in the choir no more he said why not I said I can't sing he's okay I said but I gotta do something I said can I use the church band to pick people up for church he said yeah so I just got some some some outreach flowers and I started knocking on doors and I just started driving the church band through the city and I said look I will bring anybody to church and I brought everybody to church I brought some characters to church the security team was looking at me when I walked in like who are
these people I'm like I just knocked on their door and I said did they want to come why because I just knew that what God did in me he really wanted to do through me and I couldn't just sit there in the comfort of say people and do nothing I said God you got a purpose for me I don't know what it is but I'm gonna start where I know to start I'm gonna pick people up I'm gonna teach them Bible studies and I'm gonna bring them to church I went to my pastor I said listen I don't know I don't know what you need around the church I was a full-time college student I was working a full-time job I had one off day during the week and I said pastor here's what I'm gonna do I'm just every day that every off day I kid I'm gonna volunteer at the church I don't care what I do you just tell me
what to do I wasn't a singer I wasn't a preacher I wasn't anything I just wanted to do something so he said okay my first day there I vacuumed the church I cleaned the toilets I washed the church fan and I started doing that week after week after week I never dreamed that God would call me to be a preacher I never dreamed that I would be in the ministry I just knew I've got to do something I can't sit by idle and I'm here preaching to some very gifted and very talented students that you need to stop talking about what God is going to do and you need to realize there's a gift in you stop neglecting it stop sitting on it and say tonight it's my night I'm gonna stand up and take my place in the kingdom of God come on if you're in this room and you're hungry for it I want you to jump to your feet and
throw your hands in the air and say God tonight is the night that's why the bible says now faith is the substance of things hope for Paul told the church at Corinth he said today is the day of salvation and now is the accepted time what's the best time to pray now what's the best time to start now what's the best time to believe now waking Jesus heal your mind waking Jesus sets you free when does Jesus want to use you what are you waiting on come on it's starting to rise and some of you some of you are getting tired I'm just going through the same old cycles some of you are making up your mind God I know there's more for me I may come from the wrong family I made a bunch of mistakes in my life but God I'm hungry for you to use me I'm hungry you're gonna be seated for just a moment I'm almost done I've
got more to preach but I feel the spirit here pulling people there were two major times in the gospels that Jesus spoke about the harvest in Matthew chapter nine the bible says that when Jesus saw the multitudes he was moved with compassion because they were like a sheep with no shepherd there was something about people that moved Jesus I have to ask myself when I read verses like that when is the last time the people moved me when is the last time me beholding a world that is broken and lost when is the last time that moved me it moved Jesus it moved him to Calvary it moved him to get somebody it moved him and then he tells his disciples in the next verse he said principle number one about the harvest is I want you to understand the harvest is plenty yes there is no shortage of the harvest he said here is where we're lacking we need laborers do you
know what a laborer does they work you know what work is it's not very fun but you know what you got to do if you're gonna work you got to do something but Jesus said that's the only thing we're missing in the harvest the Lord of the harvest is ready the harvest is plenty I believe now is the best time for the church to step into the harvest the church has never made more sense than it does right now and the darker it gets out there the brighter the light of Christ is going to shine and the more the enemy thinks he's winning it's just going to elevate Jesus Christ and people are going to know when I'm losing my mind I need to run to the lighthouse when I don't even know my identity I need to run to the lighthouse the harvest here's what we're missing we're missing people that'll work and he tells his disciple in John chapter four that's
nothing only principle of the harvest I want you to understand he says in John chapter four when you talk about the harvest here's what I don't want you to say I don't want you to say the harvest is coming in four months he says stop talking about the harvest in the future can say it oh it's coming God's gonna send them we're gonna have revival it's coming four months down the road is coming he said no I want you to lift up your eyes and I want you to realize something the harvest is already ready it's white it's ripe it's ready you know what we need we need somebody that'll say you know what if the harvest is ready the labor's gonna be ready and I'm gonna step out and I'm gonna teach that Bible study now I'm gonna pray for that harvest now I'm gonna witness to my family now I'm gonna witness to my school now God is wanting to do
something and he's wanting to do it now but you must understand yes this is his mission but this is your moment I know it's kind of overwhelming to consider that in the fourth quarter God would put us in the game you don't put the bench players in the game in the fourth quarter it's time for them to sit down we put them in the game in the second quarter so their mom ain't upset fourth quarter don't matter what mom says starters are going in because we got to win think about it if God wanted the apostle Peter to be here he'd be here if he wanted the apostle Paul to be here he'd be here if he wanted John to be here he would be here but you know what they have their time this is your time and I know you think you don't have what it takes but evidently the coach thinks you're the kind of person that needs to be
in the game with the game on the line but somebody's gotta make up their mind I'm not gonna sit in the bleachers of observation put me in the game coach put me in the game I'm ready I'm ready I'm ready I want somebody to jump to your beat and say Jesus I'm ready I will pray I will fast come on somebody lift up your voice and say God I'm ready God I'm ready there's gotta be something that pushes you tonight that says I'm tired of talking about it I'm ready to do it this is our time this is our moment let us feel let us feel the weight of this moment let us feel the weight of this moment come on there's a young person or a young adult or even an adult in the room that says I can't wait I want you to step out of your seat and I want you to take a step of faith and say God
I'm ready if you're ready I'm ready if you're willing I'm willing come on come with your voice lifted and with your hands raised the music is going to play in just a moment but right now I want a generation of students to lift up your voice and say God I'm not perfect I've got a lot of mistakes but I'm available in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus be free be free from the lies that tell you you can be free from the generational curses that you think have you bound be free from the condemnation of your past there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus I'm preaching to a young lady and young man everybody else man I said you couldn't but I'm here as an ambassador to Christ to let you know he says you can you can do this you can do it you just have to make up your mind I am
doing it come on that's it you're chosen you're not an accident you're not looked over you're important you matter you have a purpose in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus you are who God says you are come on that's it I will believe what Jesus says about me I am enough I am enough because he is up in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus I want you to hear me for just a moment I know I know everybody's praying I want you to hear me for just a moment for just a moment I want you to hear me because I feel I feel in this ought to go right now but I felt as a new convert I felt the reach of ministry only to go home and be met with the reality of the mirror and what I see know and
all that I've done all the mistakes I've made I'm a family trouble but I knew in that moment I knew God was speaking to me but I didn't feel like I could didn't feel like I was worthy didn't feel like I was able can you be transparent is there anybody in the room that feels that you won't so badly to step into it but you're worried am I gonna mess it up am I gonna go back listen to me God factored in your frailty your mistakes your past your family he factored all that in and he still called you I'm here to let you know if I can do this you can do this this is all I'm asking you to do tonight is do with the lab then in John chapter 6 the multitudes were starving the disciples had no answer and then all of a sudden the story said there is a lad here he has five loaves of bread and
two fish it's not enough to feed everybody but it is enough to feed somebody and the miracle happened when there was a young person that says what I have is not enough but when I take what's not enough and put it into the hands of a god that's more than enough that's where we see a miracle I know you think your story is not enough your family is not enough your past your future is not enough but here's what I'm telling you if you'll give it to Jesus he'll use you to be a miracle for the multitudes Pastor Billy Ham when I said yes to what God was asking me to do I never dreamed I would get to be raised in places like I am tonight you never know what's on the other side of a yes I know you think you're just somebody with a lot of mistakes and a lot of failures in the wrong family and a lot of
skeletons in the closet but I'm telling you you and Jesus are a dynamic duo and you can do it you just have to make up your mind I'm gonna stop waiting and I'm gonna step into it tonight so here's how I want to do it I want brother Billy Ham brother Corey your wife I want you to come up to the platform your team I want you to come up music get ready to sing we're gonna sing in just a moment but every you can be an adult every person in this room young person hyphen adult anybody if you're in this room and you say God no matter how scary it is to say I'm letting you know I'm available tonight I want you to do something in me and through me listen to me and the kingdom of God availability will always supersede God is just asking are you available there's people in this room that came tonight with questions am I
important do I matter would anybody even notice if I was gone the enemies tried to line to you to sever you from your purpose but I'm telling you God has sent me from Louisiana with such an urgency the night to let you know you matter you just have to make up your mind I'm tired of just existing I'm gonna step into my purpose and I'm doing it tonight so here's what I'm asking you if you want God to use you I don't care what that looks like I'm not gonna put parameters on it but if you want your life to matter in the kingdom of God or if you're in this building tonight and you say God I need a breakthrough and I need it now if that's you in either one of those categories I want you to step forward if you want God to use you or if you're in this building and you need God to do something in your
life tonight I want you to come on step forward step close I want you to stretch your hands this way the team here's what I want everybody to understand I know you don't know me the people up here they believe in you they believe in your value listen to me the enemy we're trying to convince you that you don't matter but I'm telling you you don't have a replacement God is not in the business of trying to replace you he wants to redeem you and he wants to use you but he has no desire to replace you they believe in you you don't know me but I believe in this generation with every fiber of my being and as a new convert my simple prayer to God was this God I don't know what you're going to use my life to be but the only request I have is you use me as an example to young people that if you can use
me you can use them telling you 13 years later that is still my prayer that you walk away from this service tonight understanding that you are important and you do have a purpose and it's not coming it's here I want you to lift up your hands I'm gonna ask the ministry team to stress your hands this way the music team's gonna get ready to sing I'm going to pray for you and when I say in the name of Jesus just like we did in worship a while ago I want you to lift up your voice and I want you to begin to cry out like you're trying to get God's attention to let him know God I am available come on father in the name of Jesus Christ by the authority of the word of God and by the power that's in the name of Jesus how release the gifts of the spirit to be in operation now to the young people that
are here God I release the five volt ministry now to be released to the young people that are here God I release a present apostolic anointing to be released now in this room it's not coming it's here I release the angels of the Lord to minister to your people now I do all of this in the name of Jesus Christ lift up your voice and shout I want you to pray God I'm available
