come on why don't you keep that going for Jesus this morning come on if you're thankful to be in the house of the Lord this morning why don't you lift your lift his name up and give him some praise this morning oh God we praise you we thank you Lord we worship you amen what an honor it is to be in the house of the Lord this morning thankful for the presence of the Lord that we feel we'll get directly into the word of the Lord why don't you grab your Bibles Acts chapter 2 and verse 38 is where we will read this morning acts 238 and 39 amen and as you are turning there I want to say what an honor it is to be back at fac Knoxville and I love this incredible church I love your leadership uh the M family they are some of the very best um in in the Kingdom of of of God and I mean that with all of my heart if you love them a cool family why don't you just let them know how much you appreciate them right now amen we honor them thank you so much Pastor M Bishop mol Pastor Anthony his family Pastor Nate their wonderful family thank you guys so much for the opportunity to be back and uh I just you know my wife is not here this morning I told her I said Carly you're gonna you're G to make them think that you don't like coming to Knoxville and that's not true amen it's one our one of our favorite places to come but uh she is at home she works Monday through Wednesday and so she's uh home this week uh preparing to work and uh but she sends her greetings and uh she's been here but there are some places uh she has not been and always give the you know always give the disclaimer she's a real person amen uh she is not a figment of my imagination amen I actually got married it's a miracle if you're looking for proof of a miracle look at me I got married y'all it's a miracle it's a miracle amen but I love my wife and she sends her greetings Acts chapter 2 verse 38 amen this should be pretty familiar amiliar to most of us in this room amen and so if you know it I just want you to kind of help me uh quote this scripture this morning amen Acts chapter 2 and: 38 the Bible says then Peter said unto them repent and be baptize every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost anybody have the Holy Ghost this morning come on anybody been filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues amen the holy ghost is real you don't have it today can I tell you you can receive it before you leave this morning amen verse 39 for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are AAR off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call amen Bible said for the promises unto you and unto your children and to all that are AAR off someone say AAR off a This Promise is just not for us this promise is not just for our children it is also for those that are a far off I want to preach on that phrase this morning the far off ones the far off ones I believe today on this back to back to school Sunday that God has a word for us to remind us of our purpose as Christians our purpose as people who have been filled with his spirit and baptized in his name it's not just for us it's for the far off ones why don't you lift up your hands one more time as we go before the Lord in prayer God I thank you for the opportunity I thank you for the privilege to stand before you today Lord to be able to preach your word to your people I pray that you would anoint this word today anoint every ear to hear every heart to receive let that seed of your word Lord be that seed that will get in the ground and bring forth fruit Lord for that is its purpose and that's its intent God let there be fruit Lord that would be brought forth by your preached word in this place this morning we give you praise and we give you glory for it somebody say in Jesus name in Jesus name one more time why don't you clap your hands to the Lord hallelujah come on clap your hands and give him great praise today oh Jesus we worship you thank you for your presence speak to us in this place Amen in Jesus name amen you may be seated in the presence of the Lord as I begin to prepare this message I read a very interesting story not too long ago it was about a man Regina Saskatchewan Canada and I share that at the introduction of my message today snow storm was supposed to start the evening of Monday January 31st 2022 so Shannon St an of Regina Saskatchewan Canada was in no hurry to get home from his office at First Nations University he figured he would sign an emergency financial aid check Clos the office down for the day and head home in plenty of time to get hunkered down before the storm arrived as he was packing up he noticed that his colleague who had just left for the day had left his laptop bag in his office and so he called and offered to bring it to him because again the snow wasn't supposed to start until later but just to be safe he decided to take the Country Roads instead and uh instead of the highway which could soon become a skating ring and on his way to his colleagu house he picked up a new cell phone charger filled up his SUV with gas and grabbed two stuffed crust pizzas that he promised his children he bring them for dinner Shannon dropped off his colleague laptop said as goodbyes and started on the road back home but a mile into his dry the snow started coming down and coming down fast but it was too late he was caught Trapped In what TV meteorologists called a Saskatchewan screamer a literal snow NATO that comes in so fast and so windy that it literally begins to scream eventually Shannon pulled off to the side of the road unable to see anything in front of him he didn't want to walk because he was afraid he'd lose his way and freeze to death but the option to stay in his car was also terrifying because it was likely that shanon could clog his exhaust pipes or rather the snow would clog his exhaust pipes and he died from carbon monoxide poisoning but everything changed in s in Shannon's dilemma when when he called a friend who suggested that he pin his location and when they saw where he was his friend was able to locate a house not so far in the distant in the distance and he knew that if he could just get to the house someone say the house house if he could somehow get to the house he would survive this snowstorm and so he waited for what seemed like days for someone who knew where the house was to come and get him but finally finally after waiting a long time 80-year-old Andre B arrived and begin to lead Shannon to the house someone say that again the house the house and after a few minutes of blindly following that elderly man Andre's Andre LED Shannon to the place where his life was spared and it was at the house can I tell you today that this story of Shannon is in fact a simile of our plight as Christians uh we were lost uh we were hopeless uh we were destitute due to the storms of life that surrounded us uh there was no way out for us uh death should have been our only option uh but somebody somewhere brought us to the house uh and can I tell you that's where everything changed in our life uh somehow uh some way I've come to tell somebody if you can just make up your mind to get to the house of God that's where things begin to change in your life can anybody testify of that in this room today come on are there any witnesses that can testify my life was over my life was done everybody else had given up hope on me uh everybody else had turned their back on me uh everybody else said there was no way that I could ever make it uh but I got to the house of the Lord and when I got to the house of the Lord he turned my life around uh when I got to the house of the Lord I found healing uh when I got to the house of the Lord I found Deliverance uh when I got to the house of the Lord uh I found uh that there is no sin too great uh there is no addiction too strong uh there is no problem uh so dense uh that God cannot bring me out uh I found that out at the house I've just come to remind somebody today that this is more than just a place that we come to just to see some of our best friends I'm glad that we have some friends that are at the house uh this is more can I tell you though than just a social place that we come have a good time but this is a place where your life can be forever changed can I just preach to somebody this morning that's been going through something can I tell you all can change in one moment in the house can I preach to somebody right now whose family uh is on the brink of Destruction uh can I tell you it can all change in a moment in the house of the Lord can I preach to some young person right now that's been struggling in private can I tell you you're in the right place right now uh if you're in the house of God can I tell you uh you're in the right place everything can change it can change in the house this is more than just a social club uh this is more than just a form and a ritual this is a place where miracles happen H this is a place where signs and wonders happened it's in the house of the Lord say in the house of the Lord that's why David said that's why David said I would rather I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house I'd rather be a doorkeeper in the sanctuary of the Lord than to be a th than than than to be in the tents of the wicked because better is one day in his course than thousands elsewhere David said I don't need a microphone uh I don't need to have the highest position uh I don't need for people to know who I am or what I do I know I'm the king uh but I just make this declaration if I can just serve uh in the lowest position if I can just get in the house uh that's where things will begin to I've come to preach to somebody right now uh you're you're winning today because you made it to the house uh I've come to tell somebody today you're going to be Victorious uh because you're in the right place right now uh you're in the house of God come on there might be other places out there where nothing changes uh there might be other situations out there where nothing happens uh but can I tell you if you can just make it to the house of God uh if you could just make it uh to the presence of the Lord everything can change David also said in Psalm 73 and 2 but as for me my feet were almost gone my steps had well n slipped but he but then he says until I went into the sanctuary of God there's some people I know I'm preaching to this morning your feet almost slipped just this very week you were on the brink of Destruction just this very week you thought about giving up on God just this very week you thought there's no way I can live for the Lord any longer but there was something inside of you this morning that that told you if you can just get to the house of God H if you I've come to tell you right now uh there's some people that might be struggling uh there's some people that might be slipping uh but can I tell you uh the slip is over uh the slide is you're in the house of God uh and today the Lord is going to restore you uh today the Lord come on I'm in the Holy Ghost right now uh I'm preaching to some young person uh the enemy's told you you need to give up on God you need to throw in the tower but can I tell you you're in the house of God and God's getting ready to baptize you with a fresh anointing uh God's getting ready to baptize you uh with the come on I feel fresh oil flowing right now when it's in the house uh I feel fresh healing flowing H and it's in the house uh I feel the delivering power of God flowing in his house oh if you believe that you ought to praise him right now come on if there's anybody that can testify if there's anybody that can think back to where you were before you came into the house uh come on uh you shouldn't be standing here uh you shouldn't be in your right mind uh but you made it to the house of God sometimes it's a fight to get here sometimes just a grind to get here I'm preaching to every parent right now the sacrifice that you're making is worth it to get those babies up every morning and get them to the house uh you better hear me right now uh it is worth it I don't care what society says uh I don't care what the world says uh come on uh make sure your family is in the house uh make sure your family's in the presence of God that's what's going to change your family that's what's going to keep them saved uh that's what's going to keep them SA get them to the [Applause] house it's in the house of God I I know there's a movement I know there's a movement in our modern day society that would say we don't we don't need the house of God we can all gather together at homes and and that's just that's that's all we really need here's what I want to say to everybody that would say that there is a need and it is biblical that we gather together in homes that the only time we get together should not be at the house of God there ought to be a Breaking of bread at every househ but I need to tell you something else they they also didn't just get together at the house they also got together at the temple courts uh there is a place uh where they designated this is the house uh of God and this is the place we're going to come to to worship uh and to M there is nothing like this house uh don't you let Society tell you that we shouldn't gather together at his house uh no there is something significant about the house of the Lord uh there is something significant about when you make up your mind to get out of bed on a Sunday morning and gather together at a place where he dwells do not forget the importance of this house there is still something special about the house of the Lord that's why David said i' rather I'd rather be a doorkeeper give me the lowest position I can barely get in the door but as long as I'm there as long as I'm there everything in my life can change as long as I'm there I got everything that I could ever need everything that I desire can be fixed it can be changed in the house David understood the importance of the house of God this is why David purposed it in his heart to build God a house because David valued the house of the Lord I know that they had the Tabernacle but David said Lord that's that's not enough I want to build you something that you are worthy of I want to build you something Lord that that will proclaim the greatness of your name I I want to build you a house David this was his dream this was his desire to build God's house he he believed that his house was precious he believed that his house was premium his house was what was most important and so d David said Lord I will build you a house however we know that the Bible lets us know that because David was a man of war the Lord did not permit him to do this and what a tragedy it would have been had the dream to build God's house stopped there with David all the dreams all the times he lie awake at night dreaming about what it would be like to build got a house that he was worthy of it all would have been for not but can I tell you after David passes from the scene and his son Solomon assumes the role as king his first order of business uh is to build God a house uh can I tell you the dream did not stop with David H because there was a young man that said I will not let your dream die but I will build God a house can I preach to some young man h can I preach to some young lady this morning uh there are some things that pastor wants to do uh that perhaps he will never get to do uh there are some revivals that Pastor has always wanted to see but he perhaps will never see but can I tell you in this room H if a young man or a young lady can catch the dream uh this morning uh to continue to build uh God's house uh can I tell you what was a dream uh for the previous generation uh will become a reality uh for this generation I'm preaching to some young person right now uh it's time to catch the dream uh it's time to catch the vision to build God's house uh come on uh Pastor is not by himself in this uh come on Bishop is not by himself in this uh there ought to be a young man uh there ought to be a young lady that would say I understand uh the importance of the house uh I understand come on is there anybody that understands the importance of the come on the the world is attacking the house of God uh the world is saying we don't need the house of God uh but I feel in my spirit this morning uh there's a teenager that's going to catch the vision that's going to say come on Pastor let's build his house together come on Pastor let's build this thing together I understand how important I understand how important this is H and you might not see the dream fulfilled uh but pastor we will not let the dream die let's have greater Revival that we've ever had let's have Greater Harvest than we ever had there are some dreams hear me right now young people there are some dreams that Pastor will never see there are some things that Bishop will never see but can I tell you that does not mean that it does not that it will not become a reality if there is a young man or a young lady that would catch the dream the vision to build the house of the Lord come on I don't want that dream to build God's house to die with the previous generation I want my children to know what it's like to come into the house of the Lord H and to feel the shakina glory of the Lord fill the room uh come on I want the young people of the Next Generation to know what it's like to come in uh when depression is taken over your mind uh in the house of God uh come on and they come into the house of God and they're forever change but it's only going to happen when somebody gets the dream uh I'm going to continue to build the house of the Lord I want you to get this it wasn't Solomon's dream sometimes we feel the pressure to reinvent the wheel sometimes we feel the pressure to come up with fresh Vision sometimes though you hear me we just need to catch the vision of the previous generation and move it forward God sometimes has already downloaded the DNA uh the blueprint of what should happen and perhaps maybe they hadn't seen it yet but if there's a young man that would say Pastor I see it I see itth I see exactly what God is doing in your life and you may not be able to do itth but I got the energy now when I'm going to do itth you may not be able to see itth but I got the strength now uh and what you cannot do pastor Master let me do it I'll build the house of the Lord uh I'll see Revival in my generation uh I'll see the outpouring of the Holy Ghost uh come on Pastor it wasn't my dream uh it wasn't my vision uh but I'll go and I'll see it into to build God's house that's what Solomon did was wasn't his dream wasn't his vision but Solomon understood the importance of the house Solomon got it it had been passed down from David to him and Solomon got it and so the Bible says that Solomon begins to build God a house he builds it he constructs it meticulously everything exactly to spe exactly the way that David had planted all the materials everything was there for him all he had to do was catch the dream and catch the vision and build it and build it he did and all of his Splendor and all of his glory Solomon built God a house the Bible says that as Solomon built God's house that as they begin to go into that house for the first time they begin to praise and they begin to worship and they begin to magnify the Lord the trumpeters begin to trumpet uh the choir begin to sing the musicians uh begin to play because here's what we need to be reminded of this morning about the house of the Lord this house was never meant to be a quiet house this house was never meant to be a house where we just kind of come in and and don't you sing too loud and don't you praise too much no can let me tell you something about this house H this house was always meant to be a house of Praise I I just want to remind somebody right now that's bought into what Society it don't take all of that you don't have to do all that the devil is a liar come on this house was meant to be a house of praise and worship uh this house was meant to be a house where we magnify the name of you don't know like I know what the Lord has done for me uh when I think of what he's done I got a praise when I think of what he's done I got to worship I shouldn't be here but he brought me to his house and I got a right to praise you ought to take about 20 seconds and you ought to make his house what it should be you ought to take about 15 seconds and make this house a house of Praise come on that's what happens in this house uh we clap our hands uh we rejoice uh we worship uh we shout uh we dance that's what happens in this house oh I'm just going to stay there for a little bit y'all need to tone it down this is supposed to be a house of reverence and and quiet where we just kind of come in and meditate and oh y'all better listen to me right now I I I I I respect this house uh I I I Revere this house uh but can I tell you the best way that you can respect this hous uh is by lifting up a praise uh and a worship that is worthy of the God of this house come on let me tell you the best way that you can respect this house uh it's by coming in uh and pouring out worship uh and come on this house was always meant to be a house of Praise oh somebody do it right now somebody praise him when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he's done for me my soul my soul chres Hallelujah there's a gratitude that comes when I come into his house oh some of you have forgotten where God brought you from but I wonder right now if you would think back to where you were come on and when I think about where God brought me from I can't can't help but shout uh when I think back to where God brought me from I can't help but praise uh when I think back to where my family should be uh there is something on the inside of me uh there's a praise on the inside uh that cannot be contained uh I Must Praise Him I must worship Him H I must Magnify Him I should have lost my mind I shouldn't be here but he saved me that's why I praised him in his house oh somebody praise [Applause] him oh I feel the Holy Ghost right now oh I feel the Holy Ghost in this room come on this is more than just Apostolic Pentecostal culture come on that's what this is what his house was created for this is more than just good tradition this is what his house was created for this is come on this is why we come in to worship him cuz his house this house was always meant to be a house of Praise Bible says as they begin to PR praise and as they begin to Worship the Lord and all of a sudden the glory of the Lord begins to fill the house because let me tell you something else about his house his house is not his house without his glory can I tell you right now this is a beautiful edifice that we have here this is wonderful this is immaculate this is spectacular but can I tell you uh it doesn't matter how spectacular it doesn't matter how immaculate it is can I tell you it doesn't matter how big it is uh if his glory uh is not here uh it is not his house uh what makes his house his house uh it's not the elaborate technology it's not the beautiful carpet and chairs uh what makes his house uh his house is his gloryh what come on somebody what makes this the house of Lord uh it's not just the elaborate things we it's the glory of God uh it's the power of God uh it's the anointing of God I I just want to remind somebody we we understand I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal from my head to my toe but can I tell you it's not Apostolic Pentecostal that makes it his house uh it's not Baptist or Presbyterian that makes it his house uh it's not even the word church that makes it his house uh can I tell you uh what makes it his house it's his glory Bishop Pastor I don't know the first person that was in here but can I tell you when this place became the house of God it was the first time his glory filled this place it might not have been when all the carpet was here perhaps there is nothing but a foundation and Bishop or Pastor or somebody came uh and they begin to pray and they begin to worship and all of a sudden the glory of the Lord begin to feel this campus for the first time and then we could say surely now this is the house of the Lord why because his glory is here why because his power is here are you thankful for his glory you ought to praise him right now I can imagine I I I can imagine the scene had it been an opposite thing that had happened if they had built all those walls if they had done all of that and Solomon in the choir had sung and they had danced and the trumpeters that played and all of a sudden nothing happened Solomon would have said where where's where's the glory this this is not this is not the way I imagined this oh oh yes the walls are perfect oh yes everything all the gold and all the Cedar and all the things that that money can buy all all that stuff is right but where's the glory I I I I just want to preach to somebody right now there might be churches I doubt it but there might be some Churches in this community that have a little bit more to offer there might be some Churches in this community that have a little bit better sound uh perhaps they have a little bit better lighting uh but my question to you is this do they have the glory if the glory of the Lord isn't there can I tell you uh it's not the house of God uh it's more than just a glorified Country Club uh but when the glory uh of the Lord uh begins to fill the room when somebody's sicking their body and they come to the front and the elders lay hands on them and they're healed and can I tell you that's what makes this the house that's what makes this his house it's his glory I feel that glory in this room right now oh somebody lift up your voice come on would you just thank him for his glory H is his house because his glory dwells here right there as the glory of the Lord begins to fill Temple for the very first time as the glory of the Lord begins to surround them I can imagine that Solomon says to himself surely now this is the house of the Lord and then right there in the house he begins to pray because let me tell you another thing about his house his house was always meant to be a house of prayer when the glory of the Lord begins to flow can I tell you that's a great time to get on bended knee and begin to make your request and your petitions made known unto him Solomon says now that his glory is here now that we've somehow arrested the attention of the almighty God now I'm going to make this house a House of Prayer can I tell you we must not ever lose uh that important detail about this house uh this house is also a House of Prayer yes it's a house of Praise uh but God forbid that we come into this house and all it is is a house of Praise uh no no no this is also a place uh where the people of God begin to pray uh and intercede on behalf uh of their families uh this is a place where the people of God begin to pray and intercede on behalf of their world his house it's a house of prayer he begins to pray a prayer of dedication now that the glory is there the Bible says that Solomon begins to pray he says Lord this is my prayer he says Lord if a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath and comes and swears his oath before your altar in this house someone say this house this house Lord if he comes and he repents in this house this is what he says then hear from heaven and act and judge your servants repaying the Guilty by bringing his conduct on his own head he says Lord if your People Israel are defeated before the enemy because they have sinned against you uh and they turn again and acknowledge your name uh and pray and plead with you in this house someone say this house this house he says Lord if they come and plead with you at this house Lord I'm asking you to forgive the sin of your people he says Lord what Heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you uh if they pray uh toward this place uh and acknowledge your name uh and turn from their sins then Lord hear them and forgive them uh he said Lord if they ever come to the house of the Lord when they've done wrong because Solomon knew there's no way everybody's going to live right there's no way we're going to walk perfectly before the Lord uh we're going to make some mistakes uh we're going to mess up from time to time uh but Lord uh I want you to know uh if we ever come back and pray at this house my petition to you is uh hear us in your house uh save us in your house uh Deliver Us I've come to preach to somebody in this room uh that's what his house is for I've come to remind somebody if your family is broken they can still come to this house if your life is in shambles you could still come to this house Hallelujah he's praying Lord we're ever in trouble we ever turn our back on you if we ever make a mistake if we ever forget who our God is if we ever forget and we come we pray in this house Lord forgive us Lord cleanse us Lord wash us Solomon said the hope for my entire family is not found out there if our enemies come and defeat us I'm not going to go out there and try to figure out how we can how we can wage war how how we can better how we can better make weapons so that we might be victorious I'm not going to try to figure this out in my on my own but Lord if the enemy comes into defeats us then Lord you know what I'm going to do I'm going to come to the house of God see some of us oh Lord help me some of us think that we can figure this out on our own some of us think we have the resources uh and everything together to figure this out how we can put our family back together how we can get relief from the pressure that we're feeling in this world can I tell you there are some things you'll never have the answer to uh but if you can just get people to this house uh if you could just get your lost family to this house uh if you could just get your lost get him to the house don't get him to some house where they have great entertainment get them to the house where the glory is don't get them to a house where where where where where they got the best programs but there's no glory come on get them to where the glory is Solomon says H if I can just get our generation back to the house no matter what happens I know you're going to save us Solomon is praying a prayer I want you to notice something very interesting about his prayer his prayer is for his own people his prayer is for his children but somewhere in the middle of that prayer something begins to change I don't know what image had been burned into his mind I don't know what image had been tattooed to his spirit I don't know what it was it seems random at best for Solomon to be off to be praying about his family and about his children to be praying about the nation of Israel it seems random it seems out of place but all of a sudden in the middle of that prayer Solomon stops praying for those that are near to him and he lifts up this prayer likewise Lord win a foreigner who is not of your People Israel comes from a far country for the sake of Your Great Name and your Mighty hand and your outstretched arms when he comes and prays towards this house someone say this house he says Lord when there's a foreigner out there I don't know where this is coming from I was praying for my people but something switched uh Lord when a foreigner comes and they don't know uh who who you are and they don't have anything uh in common with us but they come uh and they pray uh at your house listen to what he says Lord uh I want you to hear from Heaven your Dwelling Place uh and do according to all for which The Foreigner calls you too he says Lord they may not look like me they may not act like me they may not talk like me but if a foreigner if somebody who's far off uh comes and prays at this house uh Lord uh I want you to do the same thing uh for me uh that I want you to do the same thing for them uh that you're going to do for me because here's another thing that you need to realize about his house his house is not just for those who are fifth generation Pentecostal his house is not for those whose family has it all together his house is not just for those who are near I need you to hear me uh his house uh is also a house for the far off on [Applause] I need somebody to hear me right now you've come into this room and you're like there's no way that God would ever hear my prayer that this house was not built for me I don't belong here I'm sticking out like a sore thumb here there's no way that if people only knew my background if people only knew my family tree if people only knew the hell that I've lived through if people only knew the skeletons in my closet uh then there's no way that they would ever let me in the house uh there's no but I've come to tell you uh I've come to preach to every new person and I've come to remind every saint of God uh that this house is not just a house uh for everybody that has it all together this house is not just a house uh for your children uh but the Bible says in Acts 239 that the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are a far off uh can I tell you something so special about this house this house is also a house for those that are far this house is also a house for those that are broken this house is also a [Applause] house lift up your hands I feel his spirit in in this room I'm preaching to some people right now you feel so far away from God you feel like you have no business even being here today but can I tell you that's what his house is for he says Lord one day there's going to come a foreigner that comes into the house brother Anthony and they're not going to know anything about what we do they're not going to look like us uh they're not going to talk like us uh they're not going to act like but Lord uh here's the prayer that I'm praying uh I'm praying that the same thing you did for my family the same thing you did for my home uh the same thing you did for me uh Lord I'm asking you to do for them I've come to tell somebody in this place the same God that saved your family could save the person that's got a broken family right now the same God that restored your marriage God can restore their marriage because Jesus is not for those that are just near Jesus is also for the far off ones my question is simple this morning when's the last time a prayer got a hold of you like it did on Solomon at that prayer of dedication when's the last time our prayers were were not just consumed about Lord touch my family Lord touch my kids and Lord touch all those that are near and dear to me oh that's important and Solomon understood the importance of the hous uh that I got to pray for people at the house uh I got to pray for but it's not just about my family uh it's not just about my foreign no more it's not just about everybody within my immediate circle no can I tell you what this house is for this house is for the far off ones uh and Solomon begins to pray with a burden uh Solomon begins to pray with a passion for those that are far off as if they are near when the last time you got a burden and begin to pray for somebody that was was a far off uh when the last time a burden arrested you uh in a spirit of prayer and God be to pray through you in the Holy Ghost uh for your neighbor that's come on somebody for the person you don't know when's the last time the spirit begin to make intercession he says Lord they pray at this house hear from Heaven your dwelling place and do according to all which the forer calls you listen in order that all peoples of the Earth let me tell you and I've grown up in this my entire life let me tell you sometimes what we have a struggle with I'm telling you because I've been there and I constantly have to snap myself out of it we can get so bought in to what we're doing here we can get so inwardly focused we can look at our circle of people we have a good life and God's done amazing thing for us things for us and we can get to the place where we don't we don't realize and it's easy to get up and preach Acts 2 and 38 and 39 oh then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you if I just preached that we would go crazy in this room if I just preach that I could preach that for the next two hours and this place would blow up and I'm thank thankful for that I'm thankful that we know the Bible I'm thankful that God has revealed the truth unto us but can I tell you sometimes we just kind of kind of just skip over that parth that the promise is not only unto you uh it's not only unto your children but it's also for the ones that are far off when's the last time we got excited about that portion of the scripture just as much as we did the first portion of the scripture when's the last time we got excited about come on I'm trying to help us today when's the last time we let a bird and get a hold of us uh come on I know that he saved your family and we can shout about thatth I know he filled you with the Holy Ghost and we can dance about that but can I tell you uh there ought to be some young man some young lady that would say you know what I'm also going to dance and Shout about the fact that he's going to bring in my lost family I'm going to dance I'm going to pray I'm going to seek the face of God the far off ones I've had people ask me the last little bit you can stand I'm coming too close musicians brother James why why are you starting a church that's hard work man don't you know you got a good life you can just keep traveling and preaching and keep singing and keep why do you have to go somewhere where not many people know who you are and and do something hard like planting a church what my response is it's for the four off ones how can I preach an acts 238 message about how God can fill my family with the Holy Ghost and God can save my family and not put into action and motion when God is calling me that part of the scripture that reaches for those that are far off I could be comfortable God hasn't called us to comfort there's a calling going forth this morning young people I know you have an incredible Christian School God has blessed you what a blessing it is to have a place like this sometimes you can buy into the excuse well I don't have anybody to really reach for I don't have anybody to really but can I tell you even and I know everybody isn't at your school I know you have a lot of people at your school that are not like you but even if the majority already are like you can I tell you there's still a calling that God is issuing for you this school year not to just go through another school year and coast and and and and and you're amazing young people the hand of God is on your life I'm so thankful for everything that God is doing in you and through you but I I'm telling you right now what I feel in the Holy Ghost God is calling you God is God is God is reaching God is speaking in this room saying this year is going to be the year that you reach off reach for the far off ones this is going to be the year that you're going to see I believe with all of my heart that this amazing Christian school is going to see the greatest Revival it has ever seen this year I believe that more people are going to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost this year come on Bishop come on Pastor come on the reason that this school was started was not just for everybody here but I know there was a vision that there are people we're going to reach at this school that we otherwise could not reach uh come on the reason that we started this school is not just for ours uh is so that this that this community can have a Beacon of Hope is so that the far off ones can come [Music] near CU we know if it's just a chapel service we know I I I if it's just a little chapel service they're still in the house they may not realize it but they're in the house and if we can just get them to the house if we can just get them to where the glory is uh if we could just get them to where the power of God is something will change uh an Awakening will happen on the inside of them we could just get them to the house the far off ones will become near Bible says in Ephesians this is something that we forget Bible says in Ephesians that you who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ truth of the matter is we were all far off ones oh brother James not me I'm a third generation Apostolic Pentecostal fourth fifth generation it may not have been you but it was your great grandfather it was your great great grandmother somebody somewhere at one point in time we're the far off ones but you know what happened somebody was so overcome by a burden not for just their family not for just their homes oh the promise is unto you and into your children but they were overcome with the with the with the latter part of that scripture that says but it's also for all that are far off and they begin to preach the gospel to them and those who were once were far off have now been brought near by the blood of Christ I was preaching Michigan earlier this year and there was a a a young man that had gotten a burden for the far off ones and he had invited to this Friday night youth rally two Muslim gentlemen to join him and so they came because this young man understood what sometimes we forget sometimes it's just as simple as getting them to the house we can wax eloquent we can we can talk about theology we can talk about religion we can try to make an explanation for everything we do and everything that we believe but sometimes we just got to get them to the house because let me tell you something the house of God can do more for an individual than your theology can do for an individual the house of God come on I know I'm talking to to some smart people I know I'm talking to some people that can that can preach this word uh that can tell everybody about this word and you have sound Doctrine but can I tell you there's something about the house that young man understood if I could just get him to the house something will begin to change and so that that service I was preaching I was preaching Pastor M about Jesus being the light Bishop I was preaching about Jesus being the light and you know how sometimes preachers we get stuck on things and and sometimes y'all think we don't have anything else to say sometimes that is true amen I'm joking James Wilson doesn't have stuff to say not not Bishop not Pastor not these wonderful preachers that are here but most of the time it's not that most of the time the Lord has stopped us and we got to keep we got to keep hammering that point home because there's something being done in the spirit and so I was preaching and I got to a point about Jesus being the light and I was just preaching it I was preaching I Jesus is the light of the world Jesus is a light the light Shin in the darkness and the Darkness comprehend I mean I'm preaching about the light I'm preaching about the light I can't get off of it then I feel a release all of a sudden I keep I keep going going forward with my message get done powerful move of God that night I'm in the pastor's office and uh they come to me and say brother James you got to you got to come to the baptismal uh there are two Muslim gentlemen that are here that were here tonight and they want to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins you got to come and see this so I get excited and said but wait I I got to tell you what happened before but I got to tell you what happened in service before we baptize these men said you know tonight when you were preaching about Jesus being the light said yes he said when you were preaching about that about Jesus being the light about there is you know there there is there is no other light but Jesus there's no other God but Jesus you're preaching about Jesus being the light all of a sudden as you were preaching that in the middle of that service a bright light from Heaven begin to shine down into that building into one of those young men one of those young men's faces said so bright was that light that he began to look around to see if anybody else could see it nobody else was doing anything he was squinting his eyes he couldn't hardly look he said he looked around nobody else was doing anything he said and he knew in that moment that what the preacher was preaching uh was true uh that Jesus was more than just a prophet that Jesus was more than just a mere man that walked on the Earth but that Jesus truly was the light uh of the world uh and that Jesus was God can I tell you what happened uh he then came down to the front uh lifted his hands repented of his sins and God filled him with the baptism of the Holy Ghost uh we baptized him in Jesus name hey you want me to tell you what happened uh there was a young man that said if I can just get him to the house uh if I could just get him to the house uh I know he doesn't look like me uh I know he does talk like me uh I know he doesn't believe like me but if I can just get him to the house uh if I could just bring him to the house when the glory begins to fall When the Saints begin to praise when the power of God come on the same thing he did for me the same thing he did for me he's going to do for him the same thing he did for my family he's going to do for them [Music] young people my challenge for you on this Baptist School Sunday is simple let this year be the year of the far off [Music] ones young ladies my my challenge to you this year is this let this year be the year that you bring somebody to the house of God that does not know about Jesus and let God radically change their lives forever young men I want you to hear me right now let this be the year that you bring that person that you play ball with uh to the house of God and let God radically change their lives forever because this is not just about us this is not about what we can do [Music] Jesus it's also for the far off ones if you're in this room me but I preach today resonates with you would you come to the front right now I feel like the Lord is ISS issuing a fresh commitment to every one of us in this room to reach for those that are not like us to reach for those that that are far off come on would you lift up your voice right now and begin to pray come on allow the Holy Ghost to give you a fresh burden allow the spirit of God to give you a fresh burden to today come on lift up your voices if you're in this room today and you're like I am one of the far off ones can I tell you the same thing that Jesus has done for us he will do for you I preaching to somebody right now whose marriage is in shambles can I tell you we serve a God that can restore I'm preaching to somebody right now that's struggling with addiction we serve a god that is able to deliver you might be far off right now uh you might be far off right now in this moment uh but can I tell you uh if you come and pray uh at this house he will meet you here come on lift up your voices right now come on lift up your voices right now
