Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
What to Do While You Wait
- The command for the Feast of Weeks: number seven weeks from the time the sickle is put to the corn, and keep the feast unto the Lord with a freewill offering according as the Lord thy God has blessed thee.
- All were commanded the same rejoicing: thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow - and thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt.
- When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues.
- Pentecost marked the beginning of the wheat harvest; for the 49 days before it, God's people counted the omer, waving a sheaf of barley before him in thanksgiving while they waited.
Scriptures: Deuteronomy 16:9-12; Acts 2:1-4
Waving the Barley
- Barley's name is bound up with storm, dread, and fear; it was the poorest of grains, food for horses and for the poorest of people - in the Revelation pricing a measure of wheat cost a penny, and three measures of barley cost the same.
- What you do while you wait is the lesson: wave the barley before God in thanksgiving for 49 days, because if you can't rejoice when all you have is barley - the storms, the fear, the sorrow - you don't deserve the wheat harvest that's coming.
- Ruth was not too proud to glean in the barley field, and she beat out about an ephah of barley; her willingness to associate with the lowly caught Boaz's eye. The lad's five barley loaves, put in the Messiah's hands, fed the multitudes - God takes the horrible, fearful thing that comes in a storm and turns it into a miracle.
- A sister in his church, left with an infant when her husband broke the marriage and moved away, kept his seat saved by faith and worshipped through service after service with the space beside her empty - raising her barley before God while she waited on her promise.
Scriptures: Revelation 6:6; Ruth 2:17; John 6:9-10
Joel's Promise: Rejoice While It Is Still Future
- Joel called the husbandmen to be ashamed for the wheat and for the barley, because the harvest of the field is perished and joy is withered away from the sons of men; if you can't rejoice over barley, someday wheat won't satisfy you either.
- Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord will do great things; be glad, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he will cause the rain to come down, the former rain and the latter rain in the first month.
- The floors shall be full of wheat and the fats overflow with wine and oil, and I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten; and it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.
- After years of waiting for a child, and a miscarriage the very night they announced their expectation at a retreat, he stood before his church and thanked and praised God while all he could see when he lifted his hands was the barley - until the day he held his blue-eyed daughter, his Pentecost, in his arms. The appeal: bring your worry and your fear to the altar and give God a wave offering of waiting.

let's give the Lord Praise this morning he is worthy oh magnify the Lord with men and let us exalt his name together Hallelujah can you lift your voice with that hand clap and let's worship the name of Jesus Christ who is worthy to be praised amen what a privilege it is to be in service with you this morning and uh I'm not going to belabor with a lot of comments but brother Whitley was reminding me of stuff I said and I've gotten to the age that I didn't remember any of it I thought I need to write that down and uh remember it and uh what a privilege it is to be here I've got a friend that he says the best thing about being my friend he only needs three jokes he can tell them to me every time we get together and I don't remember any of them I'd tell you who it was but I can't remember who he is to be honest with you but it is an honor to be here I do remember see I I remember 20 years ago like it was yesterday and I remember yesterday like it was 20 years ago and uh I remember 1990 as a uh 19-year-old evangelist just getting started getting to come and preach for my heroes at First Apostolic Church in Knoxville Tennessee it's first time I ever got to stay in a Holiday Inn I was a uh I was one of them kids that my dad was laid off from Chrysler during the Carter years we had lived off government cheese and uh still the best cheese ever ate but uh but I'd never got to stay in a holiday in we we stayed in Motel 6 before it was Motel 6 it was only Motel five and a half at that time and uh and it just they put me up at the holiday in I didn't know if I was allowed to use the towels or not I did but I didn't know if I was allowed to got to eat at a place for the first time called Cracker Barrel and uh it I started off at the top and it's been downhill ever since but it is an honor to be here and I certainly give honor to Bishop and sister M such wonderful people as you well know and Pastor Mark and sister Jamie M uh when for me as a kid growing up at camp meeting in Indiana brother Mark MC was our youth evangelist at camp meeting a lot of times and uh the things that he preached and taught uh stuck with me and then to be able to be here with Pastor Nate and sister Ashley and every time I get around Nate Whitley it reminds me of my mother he was preaching a Revival in cooko Indiana he was just a a kid and uh my mom called me and I and and she said you need to have this preacher and I said okay Mom and then she called me the next day you need and she would she called me every day until I agreed to have him and uh it was one of the best decisions I ever made because God brought one of the finest men into my life and I honor him and and sister Ashley and brother Anthony and his family and uh brother Anthony and I have a common story but the but it doesn't go the same way we were in Russia teaching at the Bible College and uh brother stumbo insisted we go to the ballet and uh I'd have said no if Sister Kelly wasn't with us because that wouldn't look right and uh and uh he tells it that I almost got him kicked out and I tell it he almost got me kicked out but either way we didn't stay for the whole thing and so it worked out good for our favor but uh to be here and then I have friends all over this place I've been coming around here for like I said since 1990 and over the years we've built so many friendships and acquaintances and I honor you the saints of God at this house and I honor you go with me if you will The Book of Deuteronomy chapter number 16 and I'm going to Endeavor not to preach too long or Too Short being Too Short's never been my problem Deuteronomy 16 and then to Acts 2 anybody know what today is the holiday Pentecost Sunday that's right Pentecost Sunday my uh my daughters I have two I have the two most wonderful daughters my 18-year-old Ellie is the sweetest human being there's ever been she is the absolute sweetest she has the most beautiful blue eyes and uh she uh she's so sweet and then my daughter Kate she travels the world with me she's uh I think my wife was drinking Kool-Aid every day when she was having Ellie and uh she might have been drinking battery acid when she was expecting Kate but uh Kate is a sweet girl and uh but she'll just tell you what she thinks and and if she thinks it is right and so we were talking about Pentecost Sunday my daughter had all the speech impediments except for a stutter and a few years ago we were promoting brother Steve we were promoting Pentecost Sunday and Kate come up to me she said Dad we have Pentecost Sunday every Sunday and I said yes ma'am we do and so I know Pentecost Sunday is something you do all the time let me get after it Deuteronomy 16 and9 7 weeks shalt thou number unto thee begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou begin to put the sickle to the corn and thou shalt keep the Feast of Weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a free will offering of thine hand which Thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God according as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee and thou shalt Rejoice before the Lord thy God thou and thy son and thy daughter and thy manservant and thy maid servant and the levite that is within thy Gates and the stranger and the fatherless and the Widow that are among you in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there now I'm going to read verse 12 but I just want to point out that half of verse 11 makes sense sons and daughters and Levites makes sense for them them to Rejoice then it says man's servant maid servant stranger fatherless and Widow would seem they wouldn't have a lot to Rejoice about but the Commandment was the same for all of them Rejoice before the Lord thy God verse 12 and thou shalt remember that thou was a bondman in Egypt and thou shalt observe to do these statutes [Music] Acts chapter number two beginning at verse number one and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them clo and tongues like as a fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance Deuteronomy 16 is the Commandment for how Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks was to be celebrated he gave them Specific Instructions and I want to preach pre for a little while this morning on the subject what to do while you wait what to do while you wait Lord I praise you and I thank you for this beautiful congregation God on this day that we celebrate the outpouring of your spirit I pray that you would pour it out here one more time I ask you Lord by the authority of your word and by the power of your name that your anointing would destroy every yoke help me God to speak something into the life of this great church and God I pray that you would anoint our ears to hear what the spirit would say pour out your spirit and baptize with the Holy Ghost and Fire in Jesus name and everybody said amen God bless you you can be seated in Jesus name today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday and I hope that for a little while you don't mind indulging me as we walk through the scripture and consider something that we don't always Spotlight I want to talk today about ancient agriculture I know it sounds exciting you can be seated but at the risk of boring you with talk about Ancient Grains their significance and use I hope that in a few minutes as we conclude this morning's message that there will be a deeper understanding of our Pentecostal experience ancient Egypt was built on two principal grains according to historians sociologists and anthropologists and these grains were wheat and barley these two particular grains influenced the health and economies of the entire Fertile Crescent before there was gold and silver agriculture was the currency of the world historians and Scholars have been adamant about the influence of Wheat and barley on the rise and fall of Kingdoms in the ancient world likewise the Bible is not silent about the influence of these grains on early people God ordered the Hebrew calendar the days the holy days and celebrations around the times of harvest God didn't only Mark Time by solar and lunar movement but how by how the Earth produced its life sustaining grains as we look through the cordor of history and find the Feast of Weeks or as we modern people call it the Feast of Pentecost it is a Jewish holiday that occurs during the Hebrew month of Sion which makes it fall on our calendar between May 15th or June 14th of every year according to Exodus 34 and22 the Feast of Pentecost marked the beginning of the wheat harvest the wheat was the most prized grain of the ancient world it being the only grain that produces gluten that could make bread rise it was the most valuable of all of their grains and Pentecost celebrates the beginning of the wheat Harvest it also from a spiritual perspective celebrates the anniversary of the day that God gave the Torah to Moses on Mount Si perhaps the holiest day of the entire Hebrew calendar is the Passover the day that they celebrate their deliverance from Egypt and 50 days after Passover is the Feast of Pentecost pent standing for 50 and so God instructed them that on the second day of Passover they were required to do something called counting the OM counting the OM continued for seven weeks 49 days leading up to the day of Pentecost and an Omar is a sheath of unthreshed barley you'd be surprised how difficult it is to find a sheath of barley on amazon.com easy to find wheat not easy to find barley but an OM is a sheath of unthreshed barley and it's interesting to me to discover how words get their meanings barley Accord according to the ancient Hebrew when they found this grain they think they perhaps found it first growing wild perhaps being grown by some people group that they passed on their Exodus out of Egypt but they gave this grain a name that somehow described what they were dealing with when they found it as it is with all words words have meaning and it expresses what you're feeling thinking or experiencing when you come across something and so the Hebrew word for barley is the word Sora and it is derived from a Hebrew word that is s now I doubt I'm saying it right but Dr Lang's not here to correct me and so we're going to count that as being right today sa the word means a storm or to shiver in fear to be horribly afraid or for something to come in like a whirlwind so to hor horrible shiver dread be afraid a storm there are not any positive words associated with barley it's all dark and negative their minds Associated barley with this Hebrew word that means horrible storm dread or afraid some how they must have been going through some terrible circumstance when they came across barley in that Wilderness and every day as Pentecost was approaching God commanded them for 49 days to take a sheath of barley and to step out of their tent and stand before God and raise that barley before God in a Thanksgiving offering and they would wave it in Thanksgiving to God somewhere between their eyesight in heaven they looked at that barley and when they said the word it Associated horrible fearful Dreadful storm but they had to wave it before their eyes unto God as an offering and then they would lower their barley and they would go about the their daily events until the next morning came and they were required to count the OM again and again they take that storm that horrible event that thing that brought fear whatever it was that caused them to name it barley and they wave it before God and they do that for 49 consecutive days the idea of counting every day in preparation for the coming wheat Harvest they would wave their barley before God knowing that sometime soon Pentecost the wheat Harvest is on its way I may have to wave barley for 49 days but Pentecost is coming and the wheat will be here soon now if you'll just let me preach a little while to you here in Bible times barley was much more cultivated than it is today we don't eat a lot of barley now I don't now with the rise of gluten allergies it's becoming more popular but uh but I'm allergic to all food it breaks me out in cellulite but barley has always been less valuable than wheat barley was used as food primarily for cattle or for the poor Easton's Bible dictionary said that barley was the food of horses and donkeys and that barley bread was only eaten by the poorest of all people during a terrible famine Elisha prophesied that by the next day a measure of fine wheat barley would be sold for only a shekele but that same shekele could buy two measures of barley because wheat was twice as valuable as barley the discrepancy and value only deepen in the New Testament when in Revelation the Apostle John stated that a measure of wheat cost a penny but for that same Penny you could buy three measures of barley because now wheat is three times more valuable than barley in the story of Ruth and Naomi it's obvious that Ruth has much physical Beauty Boaz is Smitten by her beautiful looks but looks can mask a wicked heart and a bad attitude and so the basic theme of scripture that pride is a terrible quality God provides a way for Boaz to know not just the outward appearance of Ruth but the inner heart of Ruth and so he allows there to be gleaning in his barley field only only the poorest of the poor would glean out of a barley field anybody with self-respect anybody that has anything would rather glean from a wheat field than a barley field but though she was beautiful on the outside she wasn't too proud to glean from The Barley field and it was that ability of Ruth to lower herself to the lowest state that got the eye of Boaz and said that's somebody that will eventually be the great grandmother of a king and so she gleans from The Barley field and Ruth and 17 said she gleaned in the field until even and beat out what she had gleaned and it was about an ephah of barley as beautiful as she was she caught boaz's eye by the ability to associate with the lowly barley John 6 9-10 Jesus fed the multitudes with not merely Five Loaves and two fish but five five barley Loaves and two fish showing how poor this little boy was that offered his lunch he put a Poor Boy's lunch in the hands of a messiah and he took the poorest of the poor and by the time Jesus was through with it it fed the multitudes because God Specializes in taking the hor horrible and the fearful and the thing that comes in a storm and turning it into a miracle for the multitudes oh hallelujah amen I I I've got a long Runway and a short finish I hope in ancient times the Roman Legions in training of a new unit they did a drill that they called the armatura according to vettius if the unit did the drill improperly they were punished by having and their wheat ration changed to Barley if the Roman army when they had their daily ration if they unit found disgrace on the battlefield all meat and wheat were taken from their diet and they were given only barley to eat until they redeemed themselves on the battlefield because barley was used according to the historian I quote as animal f and so it is the poorest of grains The Barley originally associated with fear and dread and storms God knows that it's food for horses and mules and donies but God tells his people as you're leaving Passover and you're approaching Pentecost I want you to take this barley that is so so maligned by society and I want you to take it and I want you to hold it up before me and I want you to wave it to me and I want you to thank me for the barley because you have to do this for 49 days and then comes the wheat Harvest you got to wave your barley before the Lord in Thanksgiving you have to count every day for 49 days you can't skip a day but if you can't wave barley before God you don't deserve the wheat if you can't rejoice when all you have is barley then you don't deserve the Pentecost that's coming and so you must learn to rejoice when all you have is a barley Harvest or you don't deserve the wheat Harvest that's coming you must learn to celebrate when all you have are storms and fear and dread and sorrow but if you can't rejoice when you have nothing you never qualify for Pentecost when it comes and the the wheat is poured out on God's people and so for 49 days they wave the barley before God standing there before God like peasants like the poorest of the poor are we we have is the wheat all we have is the barley the thing that the horses eat the thing that the the donkeys look forward to I don't look forward to it I want my wheat Harvest to come in I want my value I want my wheat to come God I'm looking for my Pentecost but God says you can never have Pentecost until you've experienced barley for a while oh Hallelujah and it's this act of waving the barley before God that gets the attention of God it's not the food of Kings it's not the fair of the wealthy and the privileged and God knew that it was horse food God knew that it was animal F but God wanted his people to learn how to appreciate when all they had was the lowest of the low because if you don't learn to appreciate the little things then you never really learn to appreciate the wheat when it comes in it's not the sweet fig that God said hold up before me it's not the juicy pomegranate or the sweet honey that God said wave before me and give thanks for the sweetness of the honey and wave the pomegranate and give thanks for the juice of the pomegranate but God said you take the humble and the poor and the discounted barley the things that nobody else values and you wave that to me in Thanksgiving and when I See Your Heart of Thanksgiving when you're hurting when you're broken when you're fearful when you don't know what you're going to do next and you wave that before me that's somebody that I can pour the wheat Harvest on and I've come to tell you that what you do in between the barley Harvest and the wheat Harvest what you do while you're waiting for God is the most important lesson you'll ever learn in life we have a sweet sister in our church Faithfully served God from the time that she was a little girl when I was a 19yearold evangelist I'd preach revivals in their church that she grew up in all the time I never knew that I'd end up pastoring her if I'd have known that I'd have preached better back then but I watched her as she waited long in life to get married waiting on the right one she finds the man of her dreams they get married they have a child and soon and and I do tell this this story by permission he gets sidetracked spiritually he breaks the marriage vow and he moves out and moves away and leaves her with an infant baby she comes and she sits on the second row of the church where he and her sat together every service leaving a space for him for months because by faith he's coming back and I watched during those church services when she held that infant In Her Arms with an empty space next to her I watched her when worship would start and she would lift her hands and begin to praise God I watched her on Sunday nights when the rest of the work Church would shout she would shout right along with them she told me and my wife she said pastor God gave me a promise that he was coming back and so I'm saving his seat and I'm going to worship just like he was by me and till the day that he comes back and for service after service I watched her raise barley before God and say God I don't know how I'm going to pay my bills I don't know how I'm going to take care of this baby I don't know how I'm going to keep it together but you gave me a promise and what I do while I wait for my wheat Harvest to come in will make all the difference in the world and I've come to tell somebody this morning I don't know what your diagnosis is I don't know what your financial condition is I don't know what the issues in life that you're dealing with but I do know this that while you do what you do while you wait will make all the difference in the world how you handle your Brokenness will determine what your Pentecost is going to be what you do between your promise and its fulfillment makes all the difference in the world what do I do while I wait I worship God when all I have is barley when all all I have is questions what all I have is worry what all I have is fear I step out of my tent I look up to heaven and I say God I'm going to faithful you Faithfully worship you every day until my Pentecost comes it's just barley it's just barley it's just it's just it's a it's horse food it's animal fod it's only for the porest of the poor but it's what I do while I'm waiting that determines if my Pentecost ever comes when all you have is barley have we haven't we all been tempted before when we're going through a trial think what use does it do to worship what good does it do to lift my hands all I have all I have is this barley you may be looking at your life and looking at your trials and your tribulations and you may look and think all I have is nothing but barley maybe it's marriage issues maybe it's your children or giving you trouble maybe it's a doctor's diagnosis perhaps it's a f financial situation whatever the issue may be you may be standing in this place this morning and thinking all I have is just barley what do I do when the only thing I have is something that brings anxiety and fear and Dread I step out of my tent I look up to heaven and I say thank you God I'm counting the days I'm counting the OM until my Pentecost comes by saying God I thank you for what I do have I don't have everything I want but I have everything that you know I need and so God I'm going to I'm going to count the OWN I'm going to thank you what do I do while I wait for my breakthrough I just worship God like it's already happened what do I do till I get my healing I praise God for it like it's already happened what do I do till I get my breakthrough I praise God like I've already broken through because God has commanded that I count the OM until Pentecost comes I step out every day and I say thank you God for what I do have thank you God for what you have given me because what I'm doing is I'm preparing myself for p cost look I know the way we worships laughed at by denominationalism I know that the same people that shout and paint their bellies orange on football day think we're crazy for lifting our hands in worship I know the world has looked at our worship and said that's just barley it's got no value I that that that religion and that service has no value but what I do is I take what the World discounts and I bring it to God and I say God I'm giving you I'm giving you my worship the world may not value it but I do I got a lot more notes but I got I don't have as much preaching in me as I have notes but I will take you to the prophet Joel when Joel looked out and he looked at the Fields he said that which the Locust ha eaten and he goes through all these the Locust the caterpillar the cankerworm the palmerworm destroying the Harvest of the field he looks out and he sees what's happening and then he says oh ye husbandmen be ashamed oh husbandman and Hal I'm in Joel 1 and 11 oh ye Vine dressers for the wheat and for the barley because the Harvest of the field is perished he understood that they might be their tendency to to to regret losing the wheat but he said you also have to weep for the barley as well because it's not as valuable to you but when God looks at it it's just as valuable he said 'th Vine is dried up the Fig Tree languishes the pomegranate tree the palm tree The Apple Tree all the trees of the field are withered because Joy is withered away from the sons of men you forgot how to Rejoice not only over wheat but over barley as well and I would contend that if you can't Rejoice over barley someday wheat won't satisfy you either but then he tells them after after the terrible vision of everything being destroyed he tells them fear not o land rejoice in verse 21 be glad and rejoice for the Lord will do great things all I have is a willo all I have is a promise I don't see the restoration yet but all I have re rejoice and be glad for the Lord will do what am I going to do while I'm waiting for the restoration of my Harvest I'm going to be glad and rejoice when all I have is a promise because if I can't wave the barley before God I'll never have my Pentecost be glad then you children of Zion verse 23 and rejoice in the Lord your God for Heath given you the former Reign moderately and he will cause to come down for you the rain the former rain and the latter rain in the first month come on Church rejoice in the Lord your God because there's a promise that rain's coming you got to rejoice when it's still just a promise you got to rejoice when it's not been fulfilled you got to rejoice when there's not a cloud or a raindrop or a Sprinkle you just got to Rejoice because he will cause it to come down and what you do while you wait makes all the difference in your life the floors shall be full of Wheat and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil and I will all of it future tense none of it present all of it future I will restore to you the years that the Locust has eaten the cankerworm the caterpillar the Palmer worm the great Army that I sent among you and it shall come to pass afterward after what after I Rejoice based on nothing but a promise that I will pour out my spirit on All Flesh and your sons and daughters shall prophesy and your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions and also upon your servants and your handmaidens in that day will I pour it's all future tents but if you learn what to do while you're waiting then there's an Acts chapter number two coming and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord and in one place but what did they do in between what did they do in between the Ascension in Luke and the outpouring of the spirit the Bible said that they rejoiced and they gave God praise and they worshiped him while they were waiting on Pentecost they gathered in an upper room and they prayed and they worship because what you do while you're waiting makes all the difference in the world world what do I do while I wait brother M it was at it was it was 19 and a half years ago we were with some friends we had take a pastor's retreat at Whit Stone not far from here my wife and I had had had been married for a long time seemed like to her without children we'd had a miscarriage already a Moler pregnancy had had seen there was a famous doctor Indianapolis that had gave birth had had had he didn't give birth to him he helped the W the the lady give birth to se tuplets and so they sent us to him the the he was the world's greatest and I said we don't want seven just one surgeries all kind it just couldn't have children we finally were expecting a baby and we we had waited until we got to this to this retreat at whitstone with Bishop Wilson and a lot of our friends and and that night we told him we're having we're having a child and man we we everybody we all cried together and hugged and everything was great and uh and and we we just had a wonderful time with our dearest friend friends and we were all excited that after being married for like 12 years we're we're finally going to have a baby and then that night we go to bed at whitstone with the glow and excitement of a future and that night I'm woke awakened in the middle of the night by my wife she has miscarried that child we end up at the hospital just out on West Knoxville at I40 we get the news the the baby's dead it's 3:00 a.m. I don't know what to do we're we're I'm I I go there's a Flying Jay or one of those truck stops over there and I stop to get gas and I'm standing there pumping gas and and and it just can can I just be really transparent I I was pastoring some folks that didn't have the sense to get in out of the rain and they were having babies like rabbits I'm just being honest with you you guys don't have that here that was an Indiana issue as Pastor in Indiana at the time and I'm like man they can't they they'll borrow money for their light bill on Monday and then come to church Wednesday and say how much they enjoyed the movie they went to I'm like come on McFly and they just steadily having children and I'm standing there pumping gas and we just lost our baby and I looked to heaven and I said God why are you letting them have babies and not us we serve you we work for you we do everything we can we were living in a Sunday school room not not hardly able to make it at all just trying to survive and I'm like God why are they having children all like like crazy and here we can't have a baby and I looked to heaven and I I started I called my sister she wasn't thrilled with the phone call at that hour I told her what happened and she cried with me I got in the car we went back and I went home to Indiana and I stood in front of the church and they they were all so excited we were going to have a baby and I had and I told them and the Lord put a verse in my mind the lord giveth and the lord taketh away but blessed be the name of the Lord and so I stood there in that church with a lot of frustration well Steve I had a lot of frustration and I stood there and I lifted my hands and I said God I'm just going to thank you all I'm going to do is thank you I'm just going to praise you I I don't feel like it because when I lift my hand all I see is the barley the storm the frustration the fear and it it's obscuring my view of heaven right now but God you told me to wave it and so God I'm going to wave it I don't it's just barley and when I look at it all I see is my frustration and my fear and my storm but God you said count it every day until the wheat Harvest comes and so God I'm going to thank you and I'm going to praise you and I'm not going to let my circumstances hinder how I worship you but I'm going to tell you at that that hot we moved to Mississippi and then on on December the 5th of 1990 not 1995 I got married in 1995 it was it was December the 5th later after that that I held that little blue-eyed baby girl in my arms and I looked down and those eyes and now I'm holding my Pentecost and what I did from the time that we lost that baby until the time my Pentecost came made all the difference in the world because I made up my mind I'm still going to worship you God I'm still going to hold it out before you and I'm going to praise you when it's nothing come on do you understand what I'm pre I hope that this bringing a little bit of light to what Pentecost is cuz Pentecost isn't just sound of R Mighty rushing wind and it's not just clothing tongues of fire but it's everything from your Passover that you do day by day until your Pentecost comes I've come to tell somebody you
