The Devils Wish

if you would allow me just to tag in with what the pastor's saying i felt this strong and i felt these words coming to me out of the book of acts where i believe it was said to paul i have much people in this city and i know just look around i want you just everybody in here just to kind of look around today it's amazing what you and i with our human thinking will do my wife is standing here today with me and she can verify this particular account that i will tell you in a revival service there in smithville just a few years ago two or three years ago the church there's purchased a huge building 36 000 square feet but i was in the service when the evangelist was preaching and somehow through the course of that he got into the deal of giving and our pastor with us needing situation i know i'm taking a little bit of time but hold on you need to hear this he walked up there and he said whatever you guys give tonight the evangelist what are you preaching about giving but god somehow opened that particular service up and it got on that and pastor said because there was a little church up in michigan the pastor was trying to purchase it pastor and they needed a down payment and he said whatever we give in this offering he said we're gonna it's gonna go toward that work there was about a hundred and ten people in that service so that's why i had you look around that night in that service 35 000 cash not i'll use cash so i don't know how it happened i don't either i know my wife and i gave one of the biggest and i'm not saying it's not it's not for you to know what we gave but we gave probably more than we ever gave in that service now hold on look at this i i i'm gonna try to be quick but everyone say five loaves of bread two fish is that a whole lot if that lad would have kept that lunch that's all it would have been think about that that's all it would have been but because he gave it that was the least it was some of you didn't get that you need to pin that and go back and visit it you keep what god may ask you to give may not seem to be much but after he breaks it and he prays over it it becomes more that's that's god's math so don't discredit i mean i'm being serious don't discredit your hundred dollars you're ten dollars you're a thousand dollars don't discredit that because once it's put in his hands it can do more marvelous things amen praise god i have lots of scripture and i'm going to just kind of cut through some of these scriptures and go to some of the key ones here that i want to read in your hearing but we're going to be reading out of acts chapter 4. it's a pleasure to be here with you and let me state this i know that the next sunday is the the end of these sunday services but but what god desires to do around here let me just tell you is going on it's going on and and and god is good is doing great things and is going to do great things and when my wife and i pull out of here next weekend let me just tell you we're not going to be gone we're going to still pray for this church we're still praying that god pours out blessings and mighty things here in jesus name if you have your bibles acts chapter 4 sick count here that we've read acts chapter four and verse number eight and i i don't care to tell you monday hell opened up and went to fighting about tuesday when i got myself grounded it was only then that i understood what was happening and my mind came to cornerstone of what god has in store for this assembly it was then that i understood what i was fighting spiritually and what we were fighting spiritually 4 8 then peter filled with the holy ghost said unto them ye rulers of the people and elders of israel if we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man by what means he is made whole be it known unto you and to all the people of israel that by the name of jesus christ of nazareth whom you crucified whom god raised from the dead even by him doth this man stand here before you hold and this is the stone which was set at not of you builders which has become the head of the corner neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name unto heaven given among men whereby we must be saved now when they saw the boldness of peter and john and perceived they were unlearned and ignorant men they marveled and took knowledge of them that they had been with jesus and beholding the man which was healed standing with them they could say nothing against it but when they commanded them to go aside out of the council they conferred among themselves saying what shall we do to these men for that indeed a notable miracle has been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in jerusalem i pray god gives us this today and we cannot deny it but that it spread no further among the people it has straightly threatened them that they speak henceforth to no man in this name and they call them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of jesus noticed what they said they commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of jesus i want to preach for a few minutes this morning on the devil's wish the devil's wish to lift your voices in your hands and ask him to speak to us this morning in jesus name we need you here today lord thank you mighty god right now we glorify you and praise you jesus jesus mighty jesus mighty jesus right now touch our hearts and our minds lord god touch our hearts and our minds right now lord jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus you may be seated today in jesus name this miracle had taken place and it's just really amazing to me that what we just read and the fact that all of jerusalem everyone say all of jerusalem they had heard about this and seen could it be today that something here at cornerstone could take place in our midst that would literally fill chattanooga now come on somebody you need to hear that right now a notable me i know i'm ahead of myself somebody holler at me and talk to me right now and say notable huh a notables miracle something that no one can they said it here that can deny in fact no matter if you go back to chapter to chapter 3 and you read about the miracle there of the lame man at the gate beautiful i began to think as we were praying around here and i feel this so strong today in the holy ghost that i don't know who you are i don't know where you're sitting maybe god will let me know before i leave here that doesn't matter what matters is he knows what matters is he sees and this particular man had been lame from his mother's womb i don't know who i'm preaching to here today you may have been battling something a long time literally from birth another account in the next chapter i believe even says of 38 years you need to get that in your mind so it really doesn't matter how and i feel like that i'm preaching to somebody you've been battling something way too long let me turn to your neighbors it's time for you to be free huh it's time for you to be set free get this picture the prisoners are arraigned here they're brought to the bar there set them in the midst for the sanhedrin sat in a circle and those that had anything to do in the court stood or sat in the midst of them the question they asked them was by what power or by what name have you done this by what authority do you these things this was a notable miracle that had taken place and they had questions they wanted to answer what do you say that what did you say that caused this to happen and when they found out that it was the name of jesus they said what we want you to do is close your mouth up we don't want you preaching that we don't want you mentioning that we don't want you talking that because that is how this happens can i tell you the adversary would love for you and i to take those same terms today somebody needs to hear me right now there are people gathering all over chattanooga today having church and they're worshiping they're singing but there's something different that we do around here we preach the name of jesus we sing and worship the name of jesus and because of that people's lives are changed people are set free people are delivered so he told him he said don't you do that anymore but they come back and they said we ought to obey god i don't want to stir anything up here today i really don't i'm an evangelist i want to get invited back but my wife and i was talking about this on the way over here today 2020 the government mandated things on us i don't know why that surprised us if you grab the word of god and go searching through it they did that back in the days of daniel and three hebrew children we're going to play music you bow down if you don't and daniel you can't pray to your god and sounds like covet to me but those guys just seemingly came to a conclusion that my prayer that my prayer is more important than your decree that my god is more important than that fire and they ignored every bit of it and i wonder what would happen among us uh that you know let me just give you in a clue you know i'm on medication now that you know i'm supposed to eat which is a really good thing yeah everyone say amen yeah i feel you right now you got to eat because you'll get sick at your stomach but recently now and i hadn't ate today so that's a good thing i'm going to try to hurry i'm hungry but recently i told the lord you know i really don't care what doctors say i really don't care what they say you know what you know people say well faster your cakes and if you're diabetic you're supposed to be eating out anyways well i didn't get much hallelujah man you must be cheating you must have had a cupcake ah but but but i came to my and i thought you know what lord it don't matter to me if i die doing this you know the the apostles they said we're not only willing to suffer for this but we're willing to go on ahead and die for it and so many times we make excuses for this and that can i tell you god wants to work in our midst he wants to work in our families he wants to work in our community and in our church but he wants to know who it is that's going to side with him as the pastor said and sacrifice even when it don't seem right yeah they said it they said don't you teach or preach in that name i told you we first came here i gotta tell help me i would share but i told you about this bible i have here with me my dad had one and i tried to find it when he passed away and i found this one thought it was thought it was my grandmother's but uh or his turned out to be my grandmother's on my mom's side my dad had it he stole her bible she passed away he ended up with it she kept it now i got it my grandmother's bible you got to know something about my grandmother time i was born to the time she passed away she lived with us every day i was 15 years old when she passed away but i was privileged to see her she went and i thought about this when we was praying around here this morning right here i wonder who's going to have a testimony before this day's over right now because she made her way down for prayer she had cancer she had a cancer protruding out right there on her on her chest about that far she goes down somebody lays hand on her prays for her and she comes back home and she tells my mom she said i'm not going back to the doctor and naturally my mom was like you know mama it'll be okay doctors are fine it's okay for you to go to the doctor my grandmother said no she said i'm done i'm not going back to the doctor my mom said well she said why why are you taking that stance she said well something happened this morning when i went down for prayer and she said when i was standing down there at the altar this is why you need to listen to your pastor or whoever it is instructing you to come for prayer she went down and she said when they laid their hands on me and prayed for me she said a hand she said all i saw was a hand that came down out of the heavens and she said the finger of that came and touched the tip of that cancer she said i'm not going i'm not going back to the doctor she said i'm fine i'm okay and my mom was trying to talk her and she when she saw she wasn't gonna you know do any good she said okay mom she said if that's what you're gonna do she said i'm okay with it she said i'm gonna agree with you and everything will be fine and so there there we go my grandmother lived with us and probably about seven months later six between six and eight months later she's there in the kitchen and she's sweeping the floor there and she's just doing the thing as grandparents used to do as you know they'd all talk to themselves you know and and all that and i'd be like seriously who were they talking to now that i've got old i know or older and so she she she's in there sweeping the kitchen floor and all of a sudden that cancer falls off in the floor falls off in the floor falls there in the floor and behind that cancer it was just like that of baby's skin everyone say a notable miracle i wonder in this room here today how many really believe that we serve a god that steel delivers and still sets free and steal the come on let me preach right now let me pray if you believe that why are you carrying that load around you're caring why are you battling those things you're still battling i'm here to tell you the name of jesus can set you free it will deliver you he can heal you he can and he desires to do that today in jesus name the devil would love for us too abide by those terms i was driving down the road one day traveling listening to a talk show and that talk show they were discussing the fact that they felt like they had found the bones of jesus now naturally that caught my attention i thought that's an interesting subject they really were giving some discussion to and in fact i had read the article and the paper about it they were discussing the fact and this conservative talk show host guy was dealing with it and so this is what he said he said i have a question from my radio audience today he said why are all of you guys always picking on jesus i want you know my foot got heavy on the accelerator i mean dude i was just like well i felt the holy ghost and i got a lead foot i had to back off a little bit what really got me going was they didn't know how to answer it that's what got me you know he had opened the phone lines up and and and this and that and and he goes well my question is good question that's a really good question i thought dude that's a good question why is everybody always picking on jesus and and then they just kind of you know they went on their way and and then the phone call in and i'm thinking hey i'm trying to get i'm trying to call in i'm trying to i'm driving down the road i'm trying to i'm trying to get couldn't can't get through you know all that stuff and and i'm thinking guys come on so i couldn't answer them so i'll answer you you know you can hear my answer but my deal was the why is everybody always picking on jesus why don't they go pick on mohammed and why don't they go pick on confucius why don't they go pick on allah why don't they pick out some of these other quote-unquote gods and kick them around a little bit huh and then it dawned on me why they pick on jesus it's because jesus can literally heal you this morning he can save you this morning he can set you free today buddha can't do anything for in fact he's deaf he has ears and can't hear can i tell you allah can't save you he didn't anybody hear me now say jesus say jesus and every demon in hell right now it's trembling it's trembling in fact about the bible says he believes in one god and trembles i've added to that scripture that have been three of them he'd have shook himself to death turn your name so my god's alive come on somebody say he's not dead i can take you to the we can take you as they did in the word of god to the tomb and the angel is there saying he is not here for he has risen but those other quote unquote gods they are still dead they are still entombed our god is alive and he's here today in our midst to heal you to deliver you yeah see no wonder the adversary could care less what songs we're singing as long as we don't sing about jesus he doesn't he doesn't care what i get up here and preach this morning as long as i don't mention jesus preach anything in fact the matter he's telling me today to just to preach anything but jesus just and we get so caught up in good cute sermons and cute songs that sometimes we leave out the deciding factor and the deciding factor is jesus it's hey you sing you sing just don't sing about jesus you can preach don't just preach about jesus but i'm here today i'm not going to sing for you we'll have the singers do that but we're going to sing about jesus we're going to preach about jesus because there is power in the name i wonder how many old timers we have here today years ago i'm reminded an old psalm in the name of jesus there's power to set you free i feel the holy ghost here right now in the name of jesus there's glorious victory over sin disease and sickness power to walk in liberty through faith in his wonderful name can i dig down and preach here a little bit i told you i want to get invited back but sometimes you just got to say what you feel to say in the holy ghost but it's amazing to me how many of us have and i've pastor i was about ready to you did you got it you was on it today you were there but i'm really wondering we'll preach about god delivering the alcoholic and the person that's addicted to you know this and saying all these things but sometimes one of the greatest miracles that needs to happen is it's the church we the church need to be delivered from just having a church get our songs in get and i love it pastor how you pushing and probing and then see here's the example blind bartimaeus he's crying out thou son of david have mercy on me he's making such a commotion and such a racket that he embarrassed his disciples they said jesus you know the peace he got we got to get him to be quiet he's making too much noise and the bible said when that went on he began to cry the moor oh my god i feel like do you know the ones that's trying to get you to be quiet you know who's trying to get you to be quiet the person that can see the person that can see the color in the trees the color in the sky the color of the robin the color of the red bird but that person that has never had the privilege of opening its eyes and seeing anything he's out there she's out there making a racket and making a fool out of herself or themselves hey those that are trying to get them to be quiet they're okay here's the issue we've learned to live with our handicap we've become content pastor you was all over i thought dear god we've learned to come in here service after service week after week discouraged depressed beat up be now i told you i take medicine now there's some medicines i don't take i don't take the whatever but it's no matter what it is you take listen to me when we take it we put the pill in our mouth we take our water and swallow it down you know what we do we're telling ourselves this is gonna help me this is going to take care of my issue do you think jesus could help you with your issue just as we have faith in our medication i did i preached at one time in the church now listen to me i'm going somewhere i was i was preaching at one time and they got all over me bro tore me up well you mean you don't believe it so will a god for you to be sick i said well i ain't really thought about it they said well i do believe that i said really you believe that yeah i believe that i said let me ask you a question i said are you on any medication right now yeah i said quit hindering the will of god i did get invited about two back later come on somebody sometimes i don't know that we really believe what we believe sometimes and somebody can i tell you while i was preaching in that pulpit i got absolutely sick as a dog while i was in that pulpit none other than the adversary attacking my body but can i tell you before i was even finished god brought a miracle and a healing into my body can i tell you god is a healer you don't have to live with your sickness you don't have to live with your addiction any longer why do we do that why why do i do that yeah paul and silas the woman that was following them around the woman with a spirit of divinition i don't have time to look it up acts chapter 16 that count through there the bible says this and this she did many days it says it acts 16 and this she did many days finally paul turned around he said in the name of jesus christ of nazareth and that demonic spirit left that lady so everyone say immediately so here's the deal everyone's saying this she did everyone say many days why have you been putting up with that many days we sing about the joy we sing about the excitement the deliverance is right here right now you literally can be delivered and set free before you leave here it's just really a matter of whether you desire that to happen or not you can have it but see here's the deal i'll go back and pick it up some of us have learned to live yeah here it is everyone say blind well i'll just learn braille i'll just buy me a cni dog yeah kinda like that guy walked in that store and he had that little cni dog with him walked in there picked his dog up spitting it around that store and said can i help you he said no i'm just looking around oh lord but you see we've learned oh i don't i don't want to make a scene i don't want god to i don't want to bother god i don't want to bother him with this situation and so therefore we learn to live with it we learn to operate and so we come in here and lift our hands and we maybe just jump a little bit and act like we're okay and act like it's fine when deep down inside there's a frustration inside of you you want to be free more than anything in the world you want deliverance you want salvation more than anything in this swirl and god's here right now another song here i've got another song please sing jesus is the sweetest name i know and he's just the same as his lovely name and that's the reason why i love him so for jesus is the sweetest name can i tell you right now in the holy ghost if you're in this room i believe everybody in this room loves the lord but i felt compelled while i go to do this if you're in this room pastor talked about the baptistry if you're in this room and you've never been baptized turn to your neighbor say in jesus name say in jesus name you need to be pastors back here there's ushers there's greeters there's somebody you can find that can tell you get to them and tell them i need to be baptized why do i need to be baptized in his name because that is the only name whereby you must be saved and you're that's how our sins are washed away in baptism in his name just talking to a guy recently about that naturally you know matthew 28 19 comes up i told him i said look if you don't think the name's important i said i i'm gonna give you a thousand dollars right now check let me give it to you i said but i'm gonna what bank do you bank at i'm just gonna go down there and tell them baptize that in that father's account i mean cash it back deposit it baptize you know put that just deposit that in the father's account he's a father uh baptist you know go deposit that in the sons now you're a son he goes well that's no i don't i didn't make sense according to your your doctor i said go go deposit that in the husband's name and the husband no no no i said if you're gonna give me a thousand dollars and want me to depo i'm gonna tell you what name is on the account to put that in and it's the same with baptism when matthew 28 19 says go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy if you're going to do that just don't do it in father because there's many fathers don't just do it in sun there's many signs don't just do come on somebody do it identify how you want that done because there is salvation in no other how about somebody in jesus name miracles yeah i'm just about done listen this i had i believe this message should i even dare go there pastor was talking about that this morning a little bit what's the deciding deal in this hour that we're living in i don't want to take away from anything right now because i believe in everything that we stand for in dress and separation everything i believe it but the but the deal was it said you'll be hated of all people from my name's sake because that other stuff is not going to save you or deliver you or set you free he's the one going to do it now as i close the lane man everyone say from his mother's womb say from birth we're not so quick to throw our hands in the air i'm convinced and i want you to stand i'm convinced that one of the greatest revivals to ever sweep across the land if you please it's going to start put your hand on your chest and say right here when i get tired of fighting the same old thing over and over listen to me that account they brought that lame man to the gate everyone say daily there may be somebody you feel like you're carrying to a miracle today your question is this how long have i got to carry them how long have i got to do this can i tell you in the holy ghost until the miracle happens i believe god wants to do it today i made my job my marketplace when i was working i was known as preacher man matter to me what they call me it didn't but i was i had a 66 year old man speaking in tongues at my press in fact he came by the house this week he did and i had another guy he said i want to help you do some things and i said i want you to come church with me on this particular weekend we was talking i was preaching that weekend and trying to get him to come to church and he said i'll be there i'll be there so when i showed up to work monday he didn't come on sunday i showed up there at work on monday and he came running to my press and he goes i promise you i didn't do that intentionally he explained to me and he said he really did have a legit excuse he did and i said okay stand right there don't move i said don't move i looked at my watch i had a few minutes before the buzzer went off and i rared back and i went to preaching just like i was in the pulpit i mean i hammered down for five minutes i let it rip tears dripping off his cheeks he opened his wallet up gave me a 100 bill i said well i said i'll be preaching next monday same place same time i said i'll be the preacher and the usher that started my wife sitting right there that started a 5 000 miracle in our life because i was having surgery living on whatever they call it short-term disability which is a really short short amount of money but it started with that brother and it goes back to provision turn to your neighbor and say he's here right now we got to get past this thing where people is rolling and flopping and jumping and running say he's here right now i don't know what you have need of we've prayed already today but we can pray again and if you really desire god to do something in your life why don't you just run down here at the front to this altar i said last week if you have to put your toes on it just put your toes there on the off whatever you got to do come on somebody really or are you going to obey the crowd and just be quiet i really believe that somebody in here really wants deliverance today you really want god to do something in your family you desire that he does something in your marriage come on now i'm not going to go around here and be the one that asked you this i will tell you something has happened to me in the last week or two in this particular account that i that i just preached of blind bartimaeus not ever preached in this fashion that i'm fixing to say right now but jesus made his way to blind bartimaeus now you listen to this passage of scripture this is what jesus done he walked right up to him and he said this to blind bartimaeus this blew me away he said what would you have me to do for you now i i believe jesus knew what was wrong with him you got to get that part i believe jesus knew he was blind but he walks up there and he says to him what would you have me do for you and you know what blind bartimaeus said he said that i may receive my sight the the hardest thing for us to do is to admit to jesus what it is we want him to do even though he already knows what would you have me do you don't have to tell me brother all that matters is you tell him so let me ask everybody in this room right now as i set this up for prayer let me talk to you brother tim listen to me what if get this mental picture right now that somehow jesus is standing right there he's standing right there and you walked up to him each one of you in this room and said jesus i need you to do this what do you believe he would do i believe he would literally meet your need now you and i can't see him standing right there but he's in this room right now and i'm asking you the adversary don't want you to pray in his name do whatever you got to do that's why everything that happens he doesn't fear pastor all those other and i don't mean this i'm just gonna say it he doesn't fear any of the other churches today that have gathered together and that people they're leading people to a baptismal tank he's like go ahead go ahead it's okay but when he sees this church people that believe in his name when we start leading them toward that tank he gets nervous because he knows this baptism is going to be different than any other baptism in jesus name so whatever it is right now i'm not jesus but what would you have him do right now lift your hands lift your hands and why don't you just talk to him and tell him why don't you with your mouth confess what it is that you desire that he do for you right now if you need the holy ghost evidence speaking with other tongues in jesus name come on somebody let's begin to pray all over this room you need healing ask him specify that what would you have and the blind man said that i may receive my sight and jesus healed him those of you be sensitive to those around you right now begin to pray for somebody begin to pray with them cry out to god it's okay i'm not going to tell you to be quiet because i really do understand your need is legitimate i've got one i've got some that i need him victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to jesus victory becomes to jesus jesus come on pray church praise jesus jesus jesus victory belongs to jesus all that tries come on let faith grow right now i'm trusting you foreign i will open my mouth i will declare it today that's right that's right in the name of jesus yeah come on ricardo run into his presence today let him fill you with the holy ghost jesus jesus jesus oh yes yes yes there is joy in the house of the lord today there are answers in the house of the lord today that's right healing in the house there's healing in the house salvation in the house oh that's right come on in the name of jesus in the name of jesus come on good people need the holy ghost today somebody pray right now that's right come on breakthrough there is breakthrough there is breakthrough that's right there is breakthrough in the name of jesus there is breakthrough in the name of jesus come on that try and push back the enemy today i come in the name of jesus i come in the name of jesus oh come on that's right healing restoration in this place forever there is restoration in the room today yeah yeah yeah yeah the name of jesus i will bless your name i will worship your name i will declare your glory oh come on that's right press through the fear now move past the doubt right now jesus i trust you jesus i trust in you jesus that's right in the name of jesus victory belongs to him i love you lord i need you jesus victory belongs to him love you jesus i love you jesus oh that's right come on that's right restoration let him restore you today let him change your life today in the name of jesus oh come on somebody's got faith right now reach out pray for somebody go across the room pray for them god you can move them you can change them you can heal them lord jesus you can restore them glory glory glory glory glory to the name of jesus i need you lord i trust you today i trust you today jesus that's right come on the miraculous happened in the name of jesus great is your faithfulness great is your faithfulness jesus come on victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to him come on say it victory belongs to said victory belongs to him oh lift your voice victory belongs to jesus say it victory belongs to him lift your voice come on victory belongs to jesus victory belongs to him victory belongs victory belongs to him oh that's right come on the holy ghost right now is there anybody that'll worship the lord right now we got hungry souls for the holy ghost that's right jesus pour out of your spirit right now lord jesus pour out of your spirit right now i'm believing you for the miraculous of salvation you are the great god you are the great god you are the great god only you can do the word jesus yeah victory belongs to him hallelujah oh come on somebody know the lord's doing the work right aren't you thankful lift your voice right now to the lord i thank you jesus
