you have your Bibles turn to Hebrews 12 and let me say this to help Finance the um concession stand area they're going to have a walkway and they're selling brother Hammond will be much much better at this than I am to give the announcements on this but they're selling going to have a walkway of Me a Memory walkway and you can buy a brick that'll have your family's name on it or anything like that and I plan to buy one I plan to buy a brick for all my grandchildren plan to buy one for uh uh my mother-in-law and I plan to buy one for my mother who passed my father who passed and U I'm G buy I'm I'm keeping me I'm even I'm going I'm just going to shoot straight with you I had two precious dogs to die within about four months period I'm going to buy one for you will you s can I do Bentley and Einstein keep them in memory huh cats I better get to preaching you ready to go to work with me this morning Hebrews 12 and 14 follow peace with all men and and Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord looking diligent why don't we read that verse together why don't we read it together let's read it together looking I want to preach this morning for a few moments I can't get it out of my spirit I started on Wednesday night I preached on the poison root on Wednesday night and today I'm going to change the title up a little bit I'm going to I'm going to preach on the poison root part two all right because I can't get it out of my spirit father I love you thank you for your word that's going to do the work today Father the words that come out of my mouth if they are not your words they have no power Lord the words that come out of my mouth if they're not coming from Heaven they have absolutely the power of a man but Lord if I can somehow be anointed to minister your word god chains will fall off Deliverance will take place the washing of our vision the washing of our souls will take place a springtime spiritually will begin to come into our hearts and our minds Lord we'll live again we'll laugh again we'll breathe again we'll love again Lord help me today to bless this congregation in in Jesus wonderful name we pray amen and amen you may be seated thank you for standing Paul gives the admonition that we're to pursue peace with men matter of fact wouldn't we all say Amen to this it's much better getting along with people than fighting with people he said pursue peace with all men and then he threw in Holiness and that is a relationship with God and then he just simply said said without this no man will see the Lord as a matter of fact we can tie both of these together he said how can you say that you love God whom you have not seen but you hate your brother whom you have seen and U without Holiness no man sees the Lord so he's putting these two you got to be in the right relationship you got to pursue it you got to be in the right relationship with man as much as you can and you have to be in the right relationship with God with all of your heart now he tells the reason if we neglect to be in the right relationship he said that you need to look diligently and he uses the word diligently uh on purpose uh you need to look diligently you need to do a fine search um lest you would fail of the grace of God you you you need to realize that you need the strength of of God and then he says lest any root a bitterness that's a word that means poison springing up of course we know where it comes from right it comes out of our heart springing up trouble you trouble you I've talked to a lot of people that just simply say I'm I'm I'm troubled I'm troubled well let's go sit down and have a cup of coffee let's talk about it but they begin to say well I I don't really know what I'm troubled about I'm just I'm just troubled I just have a troubling about my my life and I submit to you if you would fall into that category this morning that you really need to do a diligent heart search of anything that's under the cover of your heart unresolved issues unforgiveness just things that are under the surface that have not been dealt with a name that is mentioned in your hearing that causes you to grit your teeth a subject that comes up that causes you great grief it's things that are under that are under the surface that you've not dealt with he said it would trouble you and then he said many be defiled that word means to be stained it means to be contaminated um and and and and not only will a one individual's heart trouble them but if left unchecked it'll trouble the people that are around that are around them I I begin to think about the book of Jude chapter one it only has one chapter chapter 1 verse number 11 I'd like to look at a couple of verses here in reference to things being under the skin of your heart things that have not been dealt with properly and um in the book of Jude verse 11 if you found it say I've got it if you're not there yet say I'm looking for it and if you're saying I'm looking for it look on the screen all right woe unto them well they have gone in the way of Cain ran greedily after the era of balum for reward and have perished in the gainsaying of Kora if there's three men if there's three people we need to learn from here it would be Cain balum and Kora Cain's simple sin was he was going to worship the way that he wanted to worship he was going to worship the way that he felt that was the right way to worship he was not going to submit himself he was not going to listen to me church he was not saying I am not going to worship you God he was saying that I'm going to worship you the way I want to worship you and of course we know because of that Cain had great emotional he was unstable he was unstable emotionally he could not control his emotions uh that's one of the reasons he had anger in his heart what did what did the anger lead him to the anger led him to murder he murdered his own brother why he could not control his own emotions why could he not control his own emotions because he could not submit to worship how do you know it was emotions God said it was when God came down to try to help him he said why are you rth that's anger that's an emotion and why is your countenance that's the outside Fallen you you appear to be emotionally unstable and is all tied into worship I will worship the way that I want to worship we know the end of Cain and then there was the era of balum what was balum balum was a man I've often called him a mystery man in the old test T because he did have a connection with God he did have the ability to hear from God but he also had a greedy heart he had a greedy heart he used his gift for money and that's where he got in a lot of trouble that's where he got in a lot of trouble um they came to him and they said we want you to curse God's people and um they kept bringing bigger sacks of money until finally he said I'll go curse them of course we know the whole story The the donkey that he was riding crushed his foot and uh trouble just was in his pathway and finally uh he submitted and told them I cannot bless I cannot curse whom God hath blessed I can't I can't curse these people why because God has blessed them I'm going to tell you something let me stop here for a moment not in my notes but I'm going to thank God that I'm in the church I thank God that I'm in the church because the church cannot be cursed of hell hell cannot curse the church hell cannot defeat the church Upon This Rock I will build my and the will not what Prevail against it so I'm glad I'm in the church today because the church cannot be cursed of of of of of Satan it cannot be overcome of Satan but you can't make unless you're in the body if you're not in the body hell has a hay day with your life that's why you better get in the body of Christ and you better stay in the body of Christ because the body of Christ will not the body of Christ will not be cursed that was balum what about Kora what was kora's deal Cain's deal was I'll worship the way that I want to worship balam's deal W is I be connected with God but for money's sake and Kora what was kora's issue he did not like Authority and structure he did not like having a man of God Called Moses in his life he did not like having the structure of Aaron in the priesthood and the Levites he did not like falling under the structure of Spiritual Authority and so Kora dies because he will not submit to Spiritual Authority I I I've got news for you I just love our Blunt County police force I love them how about Alcoa how about Miracle huh come on how about the blue don't you don't you love them don't you love when they come through the neighborhood don't you love when you see them out don't you love don't don't you don't you love don't don't you love when you you see them out and about does it bring a good feeling to your heart I on tell you the only people that don't like them is law Breakers and we're in a crazy upside down world right now because we've got people that are thinking we've got people that are thinking that Authority is wrong and Authority is what's caused all the Rebellion Authority has not caused the Rebellion Authority has revealed Rebellion is there thank God for Godly structure I thank God for Godly structure thank God for I think I thank God I thank God for for Godly structure you want to love Godly structure because you don't want to be out from under Godly structure you you you you want to follow you want to follow a god calleded a god calleded structure well let's read verse 12 Jude uh verse one and verse 12 it mentions three of them um Cain balum and Kora and then verse 12 he tells you what who they they are these are spots in your Feast of Charity when they Feast with you can I tell you something every enemy is not out there goodness I said every enemy is not out there have you ever read the parable about the wheat and the where's the tears at right beside the wheat so don't just think every enemy in your life is out there sometimes there's enemies right Among Us that we have to be careful of and say Hey you look like your kin to Cain hey you look like your kin to balum hey you look like you're King to Kora I I I don't know I I may want to move I may want to move off the Pew that you're on because cor had the Earth opened up and swallow him I don't want to be back here just the place I go to the B whatever but when I come here oh when I come here I'm approaching to my God now I know he lives in my heart I I I know he lives into my heart when I come here to worship worship Him in a corporate way I just respect this place around here I just respect my behavior around here cuz you know what I I I don't want to Feast myself without fear look at that verse 12 again feasting with you feeding themselves without fear I don't have any fear I don't have any this I don't have any of that I I I got news for you I got a Godly fear in me this ain't an ordinary house today this not an ordinary place today this is that this is that this is the House of God and and again I'm I'm real oldfashioned but you won't find me walking out whenever when when when there's prayer going forth from here you you you won't find me walking out because I I just believe when that prayer Goes Forth that we're in the presence of the almighty God and if I can with all my heart I'm going to stay right where I'm at because once again have I told you this is just no ordinary place here it's just no ordinary place here feeding themselves without fear yeah they don't care don't care what they say don't care what they do as a matter of fact as a matter of fact I don't claim to be a great spiritual Guru but you know they got this seismic indicators that can tell you earthquakes and and they can tell you how much because they've got indicators in the ground and and in the spirit I just feel a little trimmer right now just a little trimmer little trimor I feel a little trimmer of can in the house today I feel a little I feel a little little trimor of can now aren't you thankful I've been in some Churches when I have felt a huge shock of can because there's more canes there than there is Ables all right but I'm glad here today that God I'm glad here today it's just a small little trimmer going on and it's a small little trimor and I just like to tell you if you're having any issue with this today just you need to really let God come into your heart you really need to let God come into your heart because you can you've got an issue with it because there's an issue in your heart you don't blame it on people around you you don't blame it on the circumstances around you when you get ready to fix your life don't look without you need to look within that's where the work needs to start it's amazing when I get me right I see you right but if I don't ever get me oh come on somebody if I don't ever if I don't ever get me right I'll never see you right oh you ought to give God some praise right here in the house you you you you you you ought to give God some kind of worship right now you you you ought to pray get get get you right well who are these they are verse 12 clouds without water carried about with winds trees who trees whose fruit withereth now what are they they're clouds without what what's the purpose of a cloud to water the Earth there are people with no oh Lord have mercy brother Hammond they are people with no purpose I don't know about you people in their lives because they have no purpose people don't want to get up in the morning because they have no purpose people are medicating themselves because they have no purpose they are clouds without water they don't have any purpose in their life oh God help us all today to have the purpose and there's no greater purpose than to be involved in the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ it is an eternal purpose when time is said and done and gone God's Eternal Kingdom and what you have done for him will go on over into eternity forever and ever and ever you want purpose get a hold of God today you you you you want purpose get a burden for a loss in a Dying World today clouds without water what happens to those clouds without water carried about of winds they don't stay long they don't stay long they they don't stay long did you hear me mention four or five generations back here today did you hear me mention that about the pile family do you did you hear me mention that and while while I while I'm I keep Mary Lou is that you way back there in the back would you stand right now this is Troy and Ruby prophet's daughter right there and uh there was a time in this church just remain sty for a moment there was a time in this church that Troy and Ruby prophet and that old pawn shop on Old Knoxville Highway was a tremendous Not only was Ruby and Troy a prophet tremendous blessings with their faithfulness to be in the house of God but they had a burden to financially support First Apostolic Church sister rwood in its infancy they had a burden and probably you say well God would have raised it up another way sure he would have but aren't you thankful Mary Lou to be sitting here today and hear your parents spoken they're still being remembered why they had a purpose thank you they had a purpose purpose they were not clouds without water they had a purpose I I I I I I want to preach this to you today you need to be a cloud that hangs around you need to be a cloud that has some water you don't want to be driven by every wind of Doctrine every wind just move some people they don't stay long any place you know why they don't have purpose and because they don't have purpose they don't have water a cloud that is full of water is not easily blown about by wind it's got more weight to it it stays where it needs to be oh God help me to be a cloud that is full of water today that I can find a place and I can just water it and water it and water it and water it I can see one generation and two generations and three generations oh somebody give him a praise right now clouds clouds without water carried about of winds am I still in the book Church am I still in the book say Amen if I'm still in the book carried about of winds trees whose fruit withth without fruit what you had see see this is not something you say well I got in church I I got in church years ago you had fruit but something happened and now you're without fruit all right you had it you had a memory of I used to go to the altar used to pray a lot used to be on the visitation team used to be in the prayer room used to used to used to yeah and when you used to do it you had fruit but when you let the spirit of Cain come in you let the spirit of Kora come in let the spirit of bam come in guess what you're finding now you have no fruit but here's the place look at it closely now somebody say the next two words huh how many times dead now these are for these people that believe in unconditional eternal security all right how can you be twice dead how in the world can you be twice dead who's he talking to the church how can you be twice dead well twice dead is when you die out to your sins we we we don't believe in going out to lunch we believe in dying out some people come to the Altar and hang a be back at 2:00 sign on the door we die out everybody say die out I ain't talking about hair either we die out all right we die out we die to sin hear me we die to sin come on Apostolic church we die to sin we repent of it we're sorry for it we're sorry over the life we used to live we're sorry over of the things we used to go and the things we used to say we don't come to the church I've seen some people get up and they talk about oh I was in the world I was singing and I was doing all this and I gave it up to follow Jesus as if there's not another nasal sounding voice that couldn't have took your place you got to look at the world you came out of and say God I'm so thankful I'm out of that world I I'm so thankful I'm not drinking anymore I I'm so thankful I'm not waking up with vomit all the way I'm sorry I'm so thankful that I'm not waking up with vomit all the way down the front of my shirt don't even know where I'm at walk out in the driveway and the side is knocked out of my car reach into my billfold to get my paycheck and it's all gone I don't know about you but Goodbye World goodbye and I'm not even talking about the Rapture either Goodbye World goodbye this world doesn't have anything to offer you I'm glad I'm out of this world I'm glad I repented of my sin I'm glad I'm a follower of Jesus Christ I'm glad I've been baptized in his name and filled with the Holy Ghost I'm glad I'm glad I'm involved in the house of God I'm glad I've got Divine Purpose I I I'm glad I'm glad I'm glad I I I just wish somebody help me praise him right now I I'm I'm just glad I'm glad I'm glad how many times dead are Christ dead you died out to the world but boy this is one death you don't want to die out to don't die out to the spirit I don't want to die spiritually I don't want my spiritual life to be on life support I don't want to be plugged up to something and they say well if you unplug them they're gone I I I I don't want my I don't want the Pew to be my plug I I don't want the church to be my plug if you unplug me from this I'm absolutely going I don't want I don't want to be twice dead and then plucked up by the roots can I tell you eventually your issue under the surface will be dealt with but it'll be too late eventually we'll all stand there's going to be two judgments if you look at in the scripture there's two judgment seats one's the Judgment seat of Christ to where at the Rapture when we are raptured we will go to the Judgment seat of Christ individually to stand before God and have a reward given to us for the works that we have done here on this Earth it's the Judgment seat it's the Judgment seat of Christ has nothing to do with your salvation you're already in heaven and on and on and on you say well I get to heaven somebody may have a bigger Crown you won't care I promise you you will not not care if they got a bigger Crown you you you won't care but if you want a big Crown get to working on it right now you I mean he you know you're going to be rewarded for the works that you have done to his name but then there's the second judgment you you you don't want to be there it's the white Throne judgment and that's where man's going to be judged all the way from Adam and Eve Adam and Eve will stand at the white Throne judgment they'll start with them and go to Cain and Abel they'll all be resurrected and stand there and they will they will be judged and you you know I would rather get the root out right now than to have him take the root out because when he deals with it I'm sorry it's too late when he deals with it because that's why he gave me my free will nobody's making me do it this is how I want to live I'm searching my heart I'm plucking at the roots I'm getting that animosity I'm getting that hatred I'm getting that unforgiveness out I'm asking God to help me because I don't want my life to be poisoned I don't want my life to be poisoned I could talk to you today and I've spent the majority of my Bible study and I'm maybe we'll have the poison root part three you know if Jaws can have part three I guess I could have part three you know how about Saul in the Bible how about Saul how about a man that um watched a little Shepherd boy kill a giant took the little Shepherd boy took the little Shepherd boy called David made him a captain said man son you need to go fight from from from you need to go fight on my my for my armies you need to go fight you need to go fight and that makes sense doesn't it Church brother brother DSE that makes sense I mean if if there's a giant over here and and and I haven't killed him cuz I'm afraid of him but in comes a fair-haired Shepherd boy with a slingshot and he kills him I'm hiring the kid he ain't going home to keep sheep I'm hiring him and I did he did he hired him became the captain of Saul's Army but in 1st Samuel 18 and seven the Bible said and the women answered one one another as they played and said Saul has slain his thousands how many David killed 10 thousands and Saul was WTH very WTH thank you and Saul was very rough and the saying displeased him and he said they have ascribed unto David 10,000 and to me they have ascribed a thousand and what could he have more but the kingdom and Saul I David from that day forward and it came to pass on the tomorrow that the evil spirit from God Came Upon Saul and he prophesied in the midst of the house and David danced with his hand and David played excuse me and David played with his hand as at other times and there was a javelin in Saul's hand and Saul threw the jablin to kill David what do we have here we have a man that's got unresolved issues in his life because it's all about Saul It's All About Me Me Mine me my life my life my kingdom my Saul my life and he had no problem with David killing Goliath because now he's my captain in my oh we need to be delivered from my you hear me we need to be delivered from my you'll never find God's purpose nor peace nor happiness until you allow God to deliver you from my army fighting my battles but when David come in and David didn't even tell those women to sing David had no part of it women came out in the streets and started to sing Saul has slain his thousands and David and David has slain his t tens of thousands let me stop right here and just add this if if I could add this to the movement conference woe be to the pastor who can't Rejoice about the next man doing more than he did woe be to any of us who can't rejoice when our brothers have more than we have oh come on you you all know you you you you all you you God God's moving here today woe be to somebody that can't Rejoice over somebody else having more because that reveals to you that you got you too big in your life David didn't tell them girls sing that song they sung it on their own and when they sung it they pierced Saul's heart when they sung it they they rang his Bell when they sung it he automatically you see your heart is the filter your heart is the imagination feed it and it will develop whatever is in there it will turn it out what was in there was too much of Saul that's why the song upset him and he went ahead and surmised what could he want more but the kingdom and he eyed him you do you read that with me do you see that and he eyed him it means he saw him differently on on that day why didn't you stop him when he ran across the valley to kill Goliath cuz I didn't see him that way why didn't you stop him when he was filling out the papers to become a a captain in your army because I didn't see him that way why do you now see him a different way because he done punctured something inside of my heart and I'm now insecure that something's going to be taken away I I got news for you I got I got you will be a miserable person clutching everything in life if God gave it to you God can take it away from you and if God takes it away from you God's got something better to give back to you it's it's a miserable it it I I just wish somebody help me praise him right now yeah you're holding on to things and fighting over things and it's mine I should have got it I should have been the one I I I I my God deliver you from I today it's a poison it's a poison so what do you want to do when you allow jealousy the Bible said an evil spirit came from God no it's kind of a it's kind of an oxymoron it really is it's like jumbo shrimp it said and Saul prophesied and an evil spirit came don't you pat yourself on the back because you can prophesy give God praise when the Holy Spirit comes just because you sing in a choir don't make you right they'll make you ride a bit more than standing in your garage makes you a car or belonging to the Lion's Club makes you a lion don't make you a Christian C you're sitting here today come on I'm glad I'm glad to be and we're changing Blunt County and we're changing Alcoa and we're changing Friendsville and we're changing Greenback and we're changing towns and and we're changing Seymour that's when we're going to cloud down to to Madisonville and the raining down in Madisonville with an Apostolic Church I'm glad God picked up and blew a cloud down to Cleveland Tennessee and brother Fallon's down there building don't want to deal with their heart they want to kill whatever upsets them interesting story of John the Baptist really is John the Baptist ministered to Herod Herod was a man had two sides to him he had a church Church side and had a world side he could step out in politics he could step out in the world and nobody would know that he has an appetite to hear John the Baptist speak because late at night John late at night Herod would go down to the prison and he was in prison John was in prison because he confronted sin C can I tell you maybe back to the movement every every preacher ought to be aware when all men speak well of him it may mean you're not saying nothing I'm not saying I'm not saying offend people on purpose but the gospel if you don't want to get sin out of your life you don't want to live for God the gospel not might might Maybe Might offend you it will offend you the Bible didn't say when Peter got through preaching the Bible doesn't read this way and they were tickled on the insides and said unto Peter and the rest of the Apostles oh my that felt fuzzy and friendly I I think I'll join you all and when they heard this they were boy I'm glad I'm at church to have to choose where you stand and Herod threw a party his daughter danced which meant she really stripped her clothes off and that's perverted you know your own daughter at your banquet entertainment is your daughter comes and strips naked for the men who are drunk to look at that's perverted but anyway we're talking about a man that don't know where he stands and so the little dance pleased the father so well that he said Herod said he said ju just ask me whatever whatever you want here's a check but I'll write you a check for half of what I got right now and she slipped off and got her mama she got the one that was really offended and said Mama Mama Mama Mama He's he said for the little dance that I did he said ask whatever I wanted and she said I got him now you go tell your daddy I want the head of John the Baptist on a silver platter Bible said the little girl came walking back in the room and I can see Herod now he's ready to stroke out the check he's ready to give her a castle somewhere he's ready to build her some kind of elaborate Resort somewhere and she said Papa I want to head John the Baptist on a silver silver charger want the head John the Baptist and the Bible said he was sorrowful something struck him he didn't want to do it but when you run with the wrong crowd it's hard to make the right decisions when you're running with the that's why you need to run with the right crowd and that's why you may need to tell the wrong crowd if you don't get right I'm going to go find me somebody that is right why would you want to do that because I want Divine Purpose in my life I just believe I'm made for something better than this I think I'm made for something bigger than this I'm made for something bigger than bitterness I'm made for something bigger than revenge i i i my God I'm made for brother snitcher I'm made for Revival not Revenge my my life is oh Lord have mercy is it 25 to 12 Oh My My My you don't mean that man I feel an anointing here that he cut John the Baptist head head off Josephus the historian that lived during the time said that they put John the Baptist head on a charger a silver charger and they they even pulled out his tongue and drove a steak through his tongue and they gave it to Herod it's an interesting thing that when Jesus Christ brother Hammond was standing in pilate's judgment Hall Pilate hears that Herod is in town and pilate says pilate says and know me throw this in pilate and Herod became friends over the rejection of Jesus you better be careful what causes you to be friends with other people oh we got something in common yeah I know you do you hate Jesus what is that something to have in common he heard pilot heard CU I I can't get him off my hands I I got my wife coming out of the bedroom saying she's had a bad dream and my wife a Pilot's Wife is saying don't have anything to do he's a holy man I've suffered many things this day in a dream because please honey don't have anything I've done took a pale of water stood out before them and said I I wash my hands of this I I've done done everything but wa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa Herod is in town let's see if oh Herod can help us out so he ushers Jesus over to herod's place and oh Herod got glad because for a long time brother Joel he had desired to see a miracle from Jesus for a long time he had heard about this man
