turned with me in your Bibles tonight to the Book of Mark chapter 2. we'll begin reading it verse number one I'm going to conclude a series that we've been on for about a month now I thought it was just going to be one Wednesday night and then one Wednesday night went to two Wednesday nights and we seem to have a series here called blessed by blessed by association blessed by association Mark chapter 2 and verse number one and again he entered into Capernaum after some days and it was noise that he was in the house straightway many were gathered together in so much that there was no room to receive them no not so much is about the door and he preached the word unto them and they came they come unto him bringing one sick of the palsy he's paralyzed which was born of four and when they could not come nigh unto him for the Press they uncovered the roof where he was and when they had broken it up they let down the bed where in the sick of the palsy lay when Jesus saw their faith he said unto the sick of the palsy son thy sins be forgiven thee but there were certain of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts why did this man thus speak blasphemies who can forgive sins but God only and immediately Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reason within themselves he said unto them why reason ye these things in your hearts is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy thy sins be forgiven thee or to say arise take up thy bed and walk but that ye may know that the son of man hath power on Earth to forgive sins he saith to the sick of the palsy I say unto thee arise take up thy bed go thy way into thy house and immediately he arose took up the bed and went forth before them all in so much that they were all amazed and glorified God saying we never saw it on this fashion you put your Bibles down tonight close your eyes let's just ask God to touch us tonight in the name of Jesus Lord I thank you God for the association of your spirit I thank you God that you came down to this earth and you Associated yourself of humanity God you became one of us so that we can become the sons of God Lord tonight the next few moments would you touch my voice touch my mind Lord would you help us God to be able to keep our minds focused o God upon your word Lord that we can learn glean and grow God and understand the value of being associated with the things that you're in in Jesus name we pray amen and amen God bless you may be seated this evening now I'm using this story in The Book of Mark where a paralyzed man a man that was paralyzed was brought by four men he was carried by four men into the presence of Jesus the Bible said that just to set the set the tone the Bible tells us that it was noised abroad that Jesus was in this house and the crowd gathered in such numbers that they filled the house and they even blocked the doorway into the house into the front door that they could not no one else could enter into the house but there came one there came one that was sick of the palsy he was paralyzed I want you to understand those simplistic it may be I believe it needs to Bear out that this man was associated with at least four friends he was associated with at least four friends now the Bible doesn't say that he was a wealthy man doesn't say they were servants so let's just leave the silence there that this man had four friends that he was associated with and the only way he got his healing was through the association of four men that knew the power and the place where Jesus was these four men they brought they brought their friend who was paralyzed on a stretcher they brought him to Jesus now when these four men when these four men get there I can only surmise but I wonder on the dusty road there as the four men were carrying him on that stretcher did they ever think in their wildest dreams that when they turned the corner their hearts might have sunk when they looked and they saw the front yard field and the house filled and you see there was a bunch of desperate people there so most of the time desperate people they're in just as need of a healing as the paralyzed man so nobody is feeling sympathy for him so nobody's stepping out of the way and saying come on come right on in the front door so now they stand there but there's four of them there's four of them and somehow someway maybe one of them said and again please don't search for it in your Bible and run the concordance and send me an email tomorrow asking where it's at but I surmise that maybe one of them might have said well we tried but maybe somebody else said what about the roof and maybe someone else said well there are some stairs going around the side of the house and so now remember now I want you to always keep in mind the man is paralyzed he's paralyzed he is helpless his only chance at healing is the four men he is associated with paralyzed he cannot he can't get to Jesus he can't climb a ladder but the four men the the four men Get Up on the Roof and the four men begin to dismantle the roof he can't dismantle a roof he's paralyzed the four men begin to tear the roof off the four men begin to create a hole in the ceiling large enough to lower the man that's paralyzed down now this is in the Bible this is in the Bible they tear the hole open enough the roof open enough to begin to let this man down in Mark chapter 2. and verse 5 says when Jesus saw their faith and wait a minute he didn't say when he saw the faith of the man that had policy he didn't say when he saw the faith of the man that was paralyzed it said when Jesus saw their faith let me tell you something tonight you may be here and you may be paralyzed in your sin but I want you to know you're associating yourself with some people this evening that believe that God can bring you out of your sin we believe that if we can create if we can tear the roof off and we can create an atmosphere through our praise and worship and adoration to God we believe that the spirit of God can come down and God can touch the heart of a person that's that is absolutely helpless to get into his presence but God can do it this man was associated with four men that knew how to get to Jesus this man was associated with four men that when the going got tough the tough got going and when they lowered this man down into the presence of Jesus can I tell you something if you will associate yourself with what God is blessing you will get far more than you ever believed out of your life God will do far more for you than you've ever thought imaginable some of you got a ceiling on your life you've got your own dreams and visions of what you would be like going to be like one day can I tell you surrender your heart to God associate yourself with people that can get you in the presence of Jesus because you're going to get more out of life than you ever dreamed possible let me show you why did they bring the man to Jesus did somebody help me tonight why did they bring demand to Jesus for healing is that right I hear healing well they're about to get more than they're asking for because in verse 5 when Jesus saw their faith he said unto the sick of the palsy son thy sins be forgiven thee you see which is more important getting a temporary healing on Earth or having your sins removed and enjoying eternity with God so what was he saying y'all see this tonight what was he saying he is saying when you associate yourself with people that have the agenda to get you in the presence of Jesus Christ you're going to get more than you ever dreamed in all of your life he said let me give you more then you come for son your sins are forgiven of course then the Pharisees they begin to say this man's blaspheming who can forgive sins but God only Jesus spoke to them and he he said whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy thy sins be forgiven or to say rise take up thy bed and walk that's verse number nine you know what Jesus was saying he said it's just as easy for me to forgive sins as it is to heal but I did this to show you that I'm willing tell you that when you come in my presence you're going to get more than you ever thought imaginable he raised up Jesus told him to rise take up the bed the man came down through the roof praise God he walked out the front door he came down through the roof laying on a mattress he walked out the front door with the mattress rolled up on his shoulder and he walked out and people began to say we never saw it on this fashion before you see once again I want to hammer away at the thought blessed by association that when you attach your life to what God is in the church when you attach your life to what God is in the word when you attach your life to what God is in then all of a sudden you're overcome with blessings because you are blessed by association turn with me to Ecclesiastes chapter 4 and verse number 7 I don't want to be a loner I don't want to be all alone matter of fact I don't like loneliness now I know there's a few people that say oh I I love just to get alone I I love used to be all by myself I don't all right I I I I don't I I like to be around people I like to I like to talk to people I I tell I tell sister Carpenter often I tell her often that I want us to spend as much time together as we can and and I'm just I'm as I'm as serious as I can be about this I said I don't want to have guilt one day if you go before I go I don't want to sit around and have regret I wish I'd spent more time with her I don't want to do that I I if she goes before me I want to be able to say I think I spent a matter of fact I might have been the reason she went on early I don't know but I don't like being alone I like being associated with others because I find I find that loneliness can be haunting loneliness can be dangerous do you realize that when you are a loner that you have no accountability when you are all when you are all alone you are more susceptible to bad behavior because you have no accountability there there's nobody there to keep you accountable do you know that when you are a loner that you lack motivation because when you are all by yourself you set the bar for yourself and then stand back and applaud yourself but do you know interaction with others helps to motivate you to say you know what we're running 50 in Sunday school I think I'll associate myself with somebody that's running a hundred why because I want to run 100 someday right so if you're a loner you're more susceptible to bad behavior hey sin and if you're a loner you're more susceptible to not being motivated to improve your life let's let's look at Ecclesiastes four and seven then I returned the wise man Solomon says then I returned and I saw vanity Under the Sun vanity means it's no Prophet there's no Prophet to this here it is there is one alone and there is not a second yea he hath neither child nor brother let me stop your menteeism you notice how Hollywood glamorizes the long Rangers and the Clint eastwoods and the John Wayne's these old rugged Cowboys all by themselves that's not happiness that's not happening happy they tell you some happiness man out in the middle of a cow field and they put a slogan over his head selling Marlboro cigarettes come to where the flavor is well I don't know about you if you've ever been to a cow pasture there's not a lot of pleasant flavors in the cow pasture but you see the world wants to glamorize this this this uh cleanest wood this Superman this man got it all by himself don't need anybody else church that's not of God we need one another we need each other he said there is one alone and there is not a second yay he hath neither child nor brother child you'd have to be in a relationship with a woman and brother you need to be have a relationship with a family people that are loners don't have relationships yet there is no end of all of his labor neither is his eyes satisfied with riches neither saith he for whom do I labor and bereave my soul of good this is also vanity yea it is sore to Baal look at verse 9 now two are better than what come on say it all of you two are better than what two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor an association is better than isolation an association is better than isolation some of you are more Associated right now with your cell phone your cell phone is not going to bless you what's going to bless you God is not in your cell phone God is in the preaching of the word so if you'll understand if you'll understand two are better than one get associated with what God is in two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor you can get more done in life when you're associated with the right thing if they fall the one shall lift up his fellow but woe to him that is alone when he falleth he hath not another to help him up you're a loner and you fall it may be days before someone finds you it may be days before someone finds you you're a loner and you fall I remember reading a story of a couple and I believe their children were under the age of five and there were two of them and they decided on a on a on a Saturday morning to drive out into the desert and there do a little exploring and and there have a picnic out in the the desert area and uh the wife told the husband said tell somebody where we're going and he thought she was going to tell somebody but the end of the story is they go way out in the desert and their car broke down and they didn't have a cell phone and out there in that out there in that desert they come just close to uh to to dehydration in in I wouldn't bore you with the Gory details of what they had to do to stay alive but for days they were out in the desert trying to keep themselves alive and finally after about a week when one of them didn't show up for work and some other kin folk got to call and did they put a search party out but do you know they could have spared themselves from about losing their two children had they just told somebody where they were going you see there is there is a blessing spiritually when you're attached let me keep on reading here verse 11. again if two here's the number two Association if two lie together then they have heat but how can one one be warm alone and if one Prevail against him too shall withstand him a threefold court is not quickly broken this is this is this is verse 13. pay close attention better is a poor and wise child then an old and foolish King who will no more be admonished can I tell you something about isolation isolation you get to thinking that you have all knowledge when you're isolated you become judge jury you become everything and nobody can tell you nothing you I mean you know it all you you you've got all knowledge you're like one of job's friends job had a friend and job said to his friend he said I reckon that when you die all knowledge shall cease to be on this Earth folks plea come on can we just can we just be transparent with each other tonight if you're a pastor will tell you if your pastor will pull the blind down tonight and tell you I don't know at all I don't know at all I get help sometimes you they don't know it you saints of God here at this church help me out sometimes God uses you sometimes I've been in conversations I've been in conversation with some of you sometime and you just start saying something you don't know it you don't know it but I'm thinking to myself that's right well they're they're telling that that's that's exactly right woe be to a man or a woman that thinks they know it all and can't be told anything just about the time somebody tries to help them they put their nukes up come on I mean tell you they get all defensive yeah I mean you're trying to tell me I've got something wrong with put your gloves down put your hands down he says better is a poor and wise child than an old and foolish King that they ain't nobody can tell him anything as nobody can help him with his life watch this he's not through with this Old King for out of prison he cometh to Reign who comes to reign the old foolish King where does he come to Reign out out of prison because when you're not associated with anybody else you are a prisoner in your own little world you're a prisoner in your own little world we're out of prison he come up to rain whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becoming poor you know Lord help me to articulate this the way I want to say it but when a mom and dad when a mom and dad are isolated and they think they know it all they raise kids that think they know it all when mom and dads are isolated and they're in their own little prison guess what they produce they produce little kids that are in their own little prison oh God help us to raise our children help us to be young couples in middle-aged couples and elderly couples in this church that know that we need each other we need to be blessed by the Association of one another go ahead and give him a hand if you will many of you good saints of God have influenced my life many of you good saints of God has spoke a word you didn't even know you were speaking the word to me but when you spoke the word when you spoke the word it clicked and the big picture came on decisions that I needed that I needed to make there's the power of influence who is influencing you there's the power of influence who is influencing you well there's no one influencing me oh yes someone is influencing you no I don't have any friends in this church there's no one influencing I don't have any friends I'm a loner then I'll tell you who's influencing you you are influencing you and when you influence you I heard it said that when a man is all wrapped up in himself he makes a small package when when you influence yourself it's like a dog chasing its tail it's like the hamster in that cage you just kind of keep on running and you never get anywhere are you tired of never getting anywhere we're almost here to the close of 2022. 2023 is just around the corner are you in the same place you was when 2022 came wouldn't you like to get off of that little round gerbil deal that you're in wouldn't you love to stop chasing your tail wouldn't you love to stop going in circles like a dog then realize that you've got to attach yourself with what God is but find somebody find some don't find somebody popular find somebody spiritual don't find somebody that agrees with the way you run your house find somebody to look around and say that man looks like he's happy that wife looks like she's happy let's get over there and rub shoulders with them and let's find out with all the power of influence called The Power of influence and the first book of Corinthians chapter 7 verse number 12. the church had been started and Paul is giving some advice because he was having a man come to God but not his wife or a wife come to God and not her husband and he's giving some he's giving some Holy Ghost Direction to a family that may be the husband is full of the Holy Ghost and the wife is still a pagan or the wife is still the Holy Ghost and the husband is still a pagan and listen to Paul in First Corinthians 7 and 12. he says but to the rest speak I not the Lord and that's an interesting phrase right there because Paul is saying that the Lord didn't tell me to say this but he has permitted me to say this he has permitted me to say this and so there are things in your Spiritual Development that may not be spelled out in black and white in your Bible but God is permitting your pastor to say it because he's saying it for your spiritual benefit but to the rest speak I not the Lord if any brother hath a wife that believeth not and she be pleased to dwell with him let him not put her away and the woman which had the husband that believeth not if he be pleased to dwell with her let her not leave him for the unbelieving husband is Sanctified by the wife and the unbelieving wife is Sanctified by the husband else were your children unclean but now are they holy now let me tell you what it's not saying it's not saying that if the wife is saved that her life saves her husbands it's not saying that it's saying that her Godly influence causes God to recognize that home causes God to recognize that home understand this and this may be a hard pill because we have been we have been intoxicated with a god of grace and mercy and love and not a god of judgment God does not know Sinner's names he doesn't he only knows your name if you've been born again he doesn't know your name if you're a sinner if you're born again he knows your name depart from me I never knew you your name has never been written in the Lamb's Book of Life but if a husband or wife or may I even add a child in that family is born again God recognizes the family now not saves the family but God recognizes that family now there have been unshaped people that have benefited in temporal things because someone in their family someone in their family was born again and so Paul is simply saying don't leave the man don't leave the woman your influence your influence their association with you their association with you can have an impact on them to want to serve the Lord you can influence them and I I do believe with all my heart that if we live right with God we will be an influence on our unsaved loved ones they will see that our lives are much much better now than they were when we were living in the world the unbelieving let me go verse 15. but if the unbelieving depart let him depart brother sisters not under bodies in such cases but God have called us to peace for what knoweth thou o wife whether Thou shalt save thy husband or how knowest thou o man whether Thou shalt save thy why is this is it it could have could a light of Revelation come on in your mind if you are the only one in your family living for God if you're the only one in your family could a light come on in your mind no wonder the enemy's fighting me the way he is no no wonder the enemy's fighting me the way he is could it be tonight that that we ought to really praise and brag on young people that don't have parents here at this church that are coming on their own accord living for God on their own don't you know that hell is going to try everything that it can why because hell knows all that needs is just one witness in a house and just one witness in a house can turn a whole household upside down I hope that encourages you tonight if you're the only one living for God in your family of why you're facing what you're facing because hell would like to put your flame out hell would like to put your light out Acts chapter 27 and verse 21 there's 276 people on board a ship one man on that ship by the name of Paul told them not to leave Harbor but Paul his counsel was overthrown the ship was in a tremendous storm acts 27 21 they all thought they were going to die they had to sing the sun or moon in many days they throwed all the cargo overboard but the Bible says in Acts 27 21 but after long abstinence Paul had got off by himself but after long absence Paul stood in the midst of them one man stood to 275. and said sirs he should have hearkened unto me and not have loose from Crete and to have gained this harm and loss and now I exhort you be a good cheer cheer up for there shall shall be no loss of any man's life among you but of the ship for there stood by me this night the angel of God whose I am and whose I serve saying fear not Paul thou must be brought before Caesar and lo God hath given thee all them that sell with thee look up here at me tonight had there not been an apostle Paul on board that ship of 276 Souls that ship would have sunk and those Souls would have perished but because Paul was on board that ship God was upon the ministry of Paul God wanted Paul to go to Rome to preach the gospel because that one man was on board that ship all 276 people survived that storm that's the power of just one get associated with what God is blessing be a part you can make a difference you may be the only one on your job shine brightly young lady you may be the only one in your family testify loudly young man you may be the only one in the Book of Genesis the Book of Genesis is the book of beginnings the first thing God desires for us to know as we open our Bible the first thing God desires for us to know is the power of His word it's the first thing God wants us to know it doesn't say Genesis 1 and 1 hey I'm God I know there's going to come a time they're going to tell you I don't exist hey I'm God he didn't come declaring who he was he came declaring his word and God said let there be light and there was light and God said let there be a firmament and the firmament was whatever God said came into being thus God wants us to understand the power of His word after God establishes the power of His word the the created Power of his word brothers and sisters tonight young people middle-aged people older people whoever you are can I tell you you're not facing anything if it's wondering what university you need to go to to wondering about health care can I tell you God's word covers it all there's nothing from the Cradle to the Grave that God's word cannot help you with it is created Power in your life now after God established himself is his word he then said I want to form a covenant with you I want to form a covenant with you now I've displayed to you how powerful my word is now I want you to enter a covenant with my word I want you to enter into my word I want you to begin to believe my word I said I would do this if you would do that watch me keep my word I'm seeing if you'll keep your word and God forms a covenant with Abraham and Sarah but you you know one of the first things God said it is good it is good it is good God saw the light it's good God saw the Seas it's good God saw this it's good remember how many times God said it's good in creation it's good it's good it's good but did he not come to one thing did he not come to one thing and say it is not good that man be alone now let's just let's just understand something God didn't create something and then say oops oh I'm sorry I created Adam and oh oops he's alone no no that is there for us to understand still today it is not good from man to be alone it is not good for man to be alone and so God made him a helpmate the help mate typifies the church now again listen the church at its worst is better than the world at its best parents so foolishly I've seen parents foolishly keep their young people keep their children away from all that that bad Youth Department yeah there's there's some kids in there that that are rotten there's some kids in there they need help I said they need help and you know what the church is where you need to get the help rotten kids can't get ripe until they get in the church but you know what if you'll be patient with kids I pastored here long enough to see some kids that were rotten really turned out to be good right people but had we thrown them away in that time in their life had we just throwed them away and made them feel like you're beyond repair they wouldn't be here today but because the church loved them I want to be associated with the love of God I want to be associated with the mercy of God hey folks we understand we all need the mercy we all need the love of God we all we all need this wrapped around can you say Amen he said man needs a help mate he needs something he needs something to help him with his he needs something to help him with his loneliness he needs a completer he needs something to help him it's not good for him to be alone good for us to be alone do you know the longest chapter in the book of Genesis the longest chapter in the book of Genesis in Genesis 24. it's the longest chapter and in my estimation it's the most important chapter why Abraham has come out of sin and God has fulfilled the promise of the first generation and Abraham and Sarah have had a baby by the name of Isaac but this second generation is where many times I think we fail because sometimes in the second generation they don't have the experience that Mom and Dad had in the first generation God brought Mom and Dad out of Honky Tonks and Hell hoes and drugs God brought Mom and Dad out of poverty and all of this but the second generation comes along they've got it a little bit better so everything hinges on the seed of Isaac and Isaac shall thou see be called but now it hinges upon who Isaac's going to marry and the 24th chapter of Genesis the longest chapter in Genesis is all about Abraham the Bible says he's blessed with everything he's got everything but he's missing one thing the Bible says sister Carpenter God had blessed Abraham and all these things but there was one thing Abraham lacked who is Isaac going to marry because whoever Isaac marries will determine if Isaac keeps on fervently serving the god Jehovah who Isaac marries determines all of this and so Abraham called his servant Eliezer that his best friend his most trusted friend and he said I want to I want you to go get a wife for my son and I want her to be of the same cloth that I am I want you to go back to where I came out of and I want you to get a wife from my son I want her to have that same leaving that I have I want her to have the same sacrifice that I had I wanted to have the same love that I had and Eleazar says to him elieza says what if she won't come with me you're asking a whole lot you're asking a whole lot what if she won't come with me I'm going to travel all the way to where you came out of what if she won't come after all we're living in a new day now after all it's a new day it's a new error after all he said Eliezer said to Abraham said Abraham if she won't come with me can I take your son back to where you came from and he said God forbid that you would take my son back to where I came out of you see why I want to stay associated with God God brought me out of that world I don't want my son to go back there I don't want listen don't you believe the lie well kids ought to have to get out and they're not going to really enjoy life and God until they get out and get in sin and come back I don't believe that a bit more than nothing I I don't want him to ever go back that's that's why some Churches can ever get it together because they're just recycling the second generation goes back to the world the second generation goes back to what the parents laid down he said God forbid don't take my son back if she won't come with you then the deal is simply off but oh Rebecca Rebecca was willing to follow a Eleazar all the way back and we have the Christ child the promise of the Christ child I want to read a few more passages before we go home Psalms chapter 133 and verse 1. Psalms 133 blessed by association blessed by association Psalms 133 and verse 1. behold how good and pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in unity what did God say it is not good that man should be alone and David beholds the 12 tribes of Israel worshiping he beholds the 12 tribes of Israel worshiping he beholds musicians getting up on a stage he beholds at 7 30 young people standing up and getting on pianos and organs and drums and getting microphones and he beholds people coming from all over the city and coming into the building and David says behold how good and pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in unity can I tell you church can I tell you we are blessed by association we are not going to encounter things of Egypt and the things of this world because we have learned the value of coming together behold how good and pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in unity it is like the precious ointment upon the beard that ran down upon the head excuse me and ran down upon the beard even to Aaron's beard that went down to the skirts of his garments as the Dew of Herman and as the do that descendeth upon the mountains of Zion for their the Lord commanded the blessings even life forevermore can I tell you something right here on a Wednesday night God commands there to be a blessing right here on a Sunday morning God commands that there be a blessing right here on Sunday night at six o'clock God says here is where I'm going to get the blessing here is where I'm going to command the blessing and if I could preach anything if I could teach anything to you if I could just pour anything into every young father into every father tonight associate your family with the house of God associate your family with prayer associate your family with Bible reading associate your family with what's Godly and what's wholesome I promise you you're going to live to Rejoice behold how good and pleasant it is for us to dwell together in unity if I could plead and I hope you hear the I hope you can hear the pleading of my heart I hope you can hear the pleading of my heart because in this last day in this last day the church has been devalued it's the Hypocrites have been magnified the church has been devalued now the megaphone of hell well I I don't have to go to church you don't have to go to church to be saved well you just made a statement that the Bible so disagrees with you forsaking notchers assemblings of yourselves together as the manner of some is but so much the more as you see that day approaching I want to read you something that Spurgeon wrote you will go home Spurgeon wrote about these scriptures here in the midst of unity God commands a blessing Spurgeon wrote and he said oh for more of this rare virtue not the love which comes and goes but that which dwells not that Spirit which separates and secludes but that which dwells together not that mine which is all for debate and difference but that which dwells together in unity I'm not here tonight to pick at your flaws I'm here to tell you let's love Jesus together I'm not here tonight to look at you and remember your record or remember your faults or your failures no a thousand times no I'm here to look at you and say I see Jesus in you and hopefully you see Jesus in me and together and together God get together God can rain down his presence oh give him glory tonight give him praise tonight give him love tonight give him Thanksgiving tonight great is the Lord and greatly to be praised stand with me tonight oh let me read that again I read that from I want to that's what I'm gonna build my life on now one last one last little Illustrated part of this sermon and I want everybody I want everybody to to uh participate all right I'm gonna count to three and I want you to say loud enough I want you to say loud enough your name all right your your first name all right at the count of three loud enough that you can hear yourself how many is going three the name you were baptized in one two three folks that ought to be enough to tell us that we when we all got our own little ideas and we think we're all little Islands to ourselves we sell like a bunch of massive confusion but when we all get together in unity we sound beautiful don't we come on right now unless everybody just lift up our hands and let's give God praise Glory and Honor of Jesus God keep your hands upon us Lord Jesus Keep Us Safe God lord we give you praise we give you honor we give you glory in Jesus name we pray oh Lord would you just would you just tolerate me for
