Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Two texts: the vineyard and the vine
- He reads 1 Kings 21:1 — Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria — and John 15:4-8, where Jesus says the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine, and without me ye can do nothing.
- He announces his subject, called to be a Naboth, and notes the name means fruits, or produce: Jesus wants to reproduce himself through our lives, our words and our actions — not visiting Jesus, but living in him.
Scriptures: 1 Kings 21:1; John 15:4-8
Ahab and Jezebel: the culture Naboth lived in
- From 1 Kings 16 he reads that Ahab the son of Omri did evil above all that were before him, took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, and went and served Baal and worshipped him, rearing up an altar and a house for Baal in Samaria — the demonic duo of the Old Testament.
- In that same culture Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho, laying the foundation in his firstborn and setting up the gates in his youngest son, according to the word of the Lord spoken by Joshua — a prophecy hundreds of years old had not lost any of its power.
- Ours is a culture that mocks the Bible and the prophecy of the Bible, that calls religion a drug and wants people out of the Bible; but God's word is still the truth, Jesus is coming soon, and the rapture will happen.
Scriptures: 1 Kings 16:30-34
Save yourselves from this untoward generation
- Acts 2:39: the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call — the continuation of what this church is celebrating.
- Acts 2:40 is as needful as Acts 2:38: the one can take us out of the world, the other can keep us out of it. Peter testified and exhorted, save yourselves from this untoward generation — untoward means crooked, curved, wicked, perverse; it was the culture that crucified our Lord.
- John the Baptist came preaching repentance to that culture; in Luke 3 he is the voice of one crying in the wilderness — prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God. We need the voice of one, people who do not have to have a crowd to believe.
Scriptures: Acts 2:39; Acts 2:40; Luke 3:4-6
The Lord forbid it me: the vineyard is not for sale
- Ahab's palace had not always been close to Naboth's vineyard; somebody had to sell their inheritance for the palace to get that close — with every compromise, the enemy takes a step closer, and a little compromise is like being a little pregnant: you either is or you ain't.
- Ahab offered a better vineyard, or the worth of it in money, wanting to change the vineyard into a garden of herbs — to change its purpose and its culture. Naboth's answer was not sentiment; it was an emphatic no from the word of God: the Lord forbid it me that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
- Leviticus 25:23 was the ground he stood on: the land shall not be sold for ever, for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me — I can't sell what's not mine; the property was given to ancestors who came out of Egypt, and every day behind the plow reminded him it was God's.
- Naboth believed Proverbs 23:23 — buy the truth, and sell it not — and the currency you buy the truth with is obedience to the word and the actions the word produces.
Scriptures: 1 Kings 21; Leviticus 25:23; Proverbs 23:23
The lie, the stoning, and the word against Ahab
- Ahab came home heavy and displeased and would not eat bread; Jezebel asked, dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel, and promised to get the vineyard herself — when authority and deception get married, woe be to the people in its path.
- She wrote letters in Ahab's name, sealed with his seal, proclaiming a fast and setting Naboth on high; two hired witnesses — paid-off fools — lied that Naboth had blasphemed God and the king, and he was carried out and stoned. Everything that sounds spiritual isn't; the only thing the culture can bring against truth is a lie.
- Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: hast thou killed, and also taken possession? In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine. Ahab answered, hast thou found me, O mine enemy — the culture sees the Bible as its enemy, but the Bible is not the enemy; the culture is.
- Time passed and the prophecy was still true: Ahab coveted more land and drew the king of Judah into his campaign; the 400 prophets promised victory with their iron horns, but the one prophet Ahab hated said, I will speak only what the Lord puts in my mouth — and a soldier's arrow, drawn at a venture, found the king anyway, and his blood was washed out at the very spot where Naboth's had been spilled.
Jezebel thrown down, and the Jezebel who still teaches
- Years later God raised up a zealous man to end Jezebel: when he came to Jezreel she painted her face, tired her head and looked out at the window, and at his word — who is on my side? — the eunuchs threw her down. They went to bury her and found no more of her than the skull, the feet and the palms of her hands, according to the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah: get her out, remove her totally, and have no regrets about putting a demonic spirit to death.
- In Revelation 2 the Lord tells the church he has a few things against it, because it suffers that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce his servants — and to the rest who have not this doctrine he says, hold fast till I come. The spirit of Jezebel and of rebellion will try to get into the church; anything that questions truth is not of God.
Scriptures: 2 Kings 9:30-36; Revelation 2:18-28
Hold fast to the truth
- He leads the church in its confession: there is only one God, and his name is Jesus — the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, the Holy Ghost in the church today; there is only one way to be baptized, in Jesus' name, and the Holy Ghost is still received with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
- He closes on submission: a person gets nowhere with God until they open this book with submission — submission is to the understanding of this book what home plate is in baseball; you start at home plate, and after touching every base you must come back and touch it with the same submitted spirit.

While you remain standing in honor of the reading of God's word, you would turn with me to the first book of Kings, chapter 21 and verse number one. Please leave your Bible open to this chapter because we will be coming back to it. First Kings chapter 21 and verse number one. And it came to pass after these things that Neabboth the Jezraelite had a vineyard which was in Jezreel hard or close by the palace of Ahab, king of Samaria. Go to the Gospel of John, chapter 15 in your Bible, verse number four. you brought your Bible if you would travel there with me. John 15:4. If you don't have your Bible, it's on the screen here. We'll provide it for you on the screen. John 15:4, Jesus said, "Abide in me." It means to live in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide or live in the vine, no more can ye except you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me, and I wish we all could get baptized with this verse, for without me you can do what? >> Nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered. Men gathered them and cast them into the fire, they are burned. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my father glorified that you bear much fruit. So sh so shall you be my disciples. I want to minister today on this subject. Called to be a neaboth. called to be a neb. Or if they want to change it on the screen, if brother Dale McBrroom and the team wants to change this, you could change it. It's up to you today. You could either leave what I sent you earlier, call to be a nebop, or in light of what's happened this week, we could change it to call to be a Charlie. Charlie Kirk, called to be a Charlie. You may be seated in Jesus' name. Today, we're definitely living in perilous times when just a few hours from here, a young lady escaping the war from Ukraine would find her way to the land of the free and the home of the brave, find her land of the great lady of liberty that stands with opportunity, would find her way from a war torn country of Ukraine, come and get a job here in a pizza place. Only to be on a subway or a train and a senseless killing would take place. A person who demonic in its origin, it it's got to be demonic in its origin. It's got to be demonic in its origin, would take the life of this young lady. A few days later, our nation would be shocked when a precious young man that has dedicated his life to speaking out of the morals and the fabric of what has made our country great today would be shot and killed, assassinated while giving a speech on a college on a college campus. Today I use my text Today I use my text from First Kings 21. It's the story about a man named Neabboth who owned a vineyard and a man and a woman by the name of Ahab and Jezebel. These are the three characters of this story. Ahab, Jezebel, and Nabba. It's amazing today that the name of Neabboth goes back to what my verses were in the book of John. Jesus wants us to bear fruit. He wants us to reproduce himself to reproduce him through us. That's what being a Christian Christlike is all about. It's about reproducing, having Jesus reproduce through our lives, through our words, through our actions. Abide in me and I abide in you. Not visit Jesus but live in him. And then he simply says as you the the the vine, the the the branch cannot bear fruit unless it it's attached to the vine. Jesus is the vine. And then he simply says, "Well, what if I don't want to be? What if I don't want to be attached to him?" The Bible simply says that your life will be fruitless and that at the great end of time, the branches will be bundled up and cast into the fire. And I don't think that needs to be elaborated on for you to understand what that means in destruction and the end. And then he simply says this, if we will bear much fruit, our father is glorified through us. How many want to glorify Jesus Christ through your life? >> How many want today to leave a legacy behind that the one thing they remembered about you was not where you worked, not the kind of clothes you wore, or not your neighborhood or anything else. But how many want to be remembered by he simply glorified Jesus Christ. Amen. I want to be remembered that I glorified. Well, the name Nabboth, the name that Nabboth means fruits. Fruits or produce. In other words, he worked in a vineyard. He was a man that produced fruits. But let's see what happened. These next two characters that I would introduce to you today is a king by the name of Ahab and a woman by the name of Jezebel. They really represent the culture of our time. Would I have to expound very much today that the culture that we're living in right now was not even the culture that we were living in 10 years ago? How many have heard it said or how many have said it? If my grandparents were alive today, they would roll >> in their grave. And not only do we have to go back to grandparents today, we can say if our parents were still alive or 10 years ago. So you understand that we live in a culture. We live in a culture and it is not a godly culture that we're living in. But the darker the night, the brighter the light. Ahab, Jezebel. Let's talk about them for a moment. We find them in First Kings chapter 16 verse number 30. It's going to tell us a little bit about them. And Ahab the son of Omi did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him. Now we find out that uh it was bad with the former kings. It was bad with the former kings, but he outdid them all. He was more evil than all that was before him. Verse 31. And it came to pass as as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel, the daughter of Ethbel, king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshiped him. He reared up an altar for Baal, and the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. Ahab made a grove and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings that of Israel that were before him. Are you getting the culture here? I I mean this is the Bonnie and Clyde of the Old Testament. This is the demonic duo of the Old Testament. Not only was Ahab evil and wicked and did more wickedness than any king before him, he uped and married a woman by the name of Jezebel, the daughter of Ethbel. And they worshiped and served Baal. Baal is the god of work and God in is the god of money. The god of work and the god of money. So now they worship this false god. Ahab builds this false god a house. And Ahab worships this false god. Now he never came out and vocally denied the God of Israel. You don't have to vocally deny God. You just live like there is no God. >> So he lives like there is no God. Although he didn't vocally say that he didn't believe in Jehovah. Not only that, it was these things called prophecies. It was these things called prophecies. And when the prophets would give these prophecies and for foretell the future, the people would listen to them and then they would wait with expectation for the prophecy to take place. When Jericho hundreds of years Before Ahab was king, when Jericho was destroyed by Joshua and his armies, Joshua begin to prophesy. We find the prophecy here in verse number 34 of chapter 16. in his days. Speaking of the culture of Ahab and Jezebel, in his days, in the culture of Ahab and Jezebel, did Hyel the Bethleite Bethlite build Jericho? Wait a minute. You're not. The prophecy said you weren't you weren't to do that. He laid the foundation thereof in Abram, his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son, Sigram, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. I want you to look at this now because this was prophecy. Although it was hundreds of years old, did not mean it had lost any of its power or that God wasn't going to deliver it. It was going to come because God knew there would be a culture. Joshua said, "Jericho is to remain a city of ruins. It is to remain a heap rubbish of stones. It is to remain a monument to what God's people did when they came across the Jordan River and said, "If you ever rebuild this city, if you ever remove the fact that God brought us here, you'll lay the foundation with one of your children." And when you set up the gates, the next child will die. And sure enough, when Hyel laid the foundation for Jericho, he lost a child. And when he got it finished and they set up the gate of the city, he lost another child. Just like the prophecy said. Can I tell us today that we're living in a culture that mocks the coming of the Lord? We're living in a culture that mocks not only the Bible, but they mock the prophecy of the Bible. They do not believe in the virgin birth. They do not believe in miracles. And I'm going to tell you what's sad about this. A lot of so-called denominations have publicly came out and said they don't believe in the miracles. The book of Jonah about Jonah being swallowed up by a well is just a story that was made up to prove a point and the virgin birth. Mary wasn't a virgin. And on and on it goes. But I'm going to tell you, it doesn't matter what this culture wants to tell us and wants to saturate the minds of our children and of us. God's word is still the truth. Jesus is coming soon. The rapture will happen. >> It's a culture. It's our culture. I wish you'd say that with me today. It's our culture. >> Are we not built not only on Acts 2:39? For the promise is unto you >> and to your children and to those who are far off, even as many as our God shall call. Isn't that the continuation of what we're here today celebrating? >> We got to understand forever. Acts 2:39, there's an Acts 2:40 that's just as powerful as Acts 238 and Acts 239. Acts 2:40 is just as needful as Acts 238 because Acts 238 can take us out of the world. But Acts 2:40 can keep us out of the world. >> What does Acts 2:40 say? Acts chapter 2 and verse number 40. And with many other words did Peter testify and exhort, say, save yourselves from this. untored generation. The word untored means crooked. It means curved. It means wicked. It means perverse. When Peter stood there that day and said, "Save yourselves from this unto generation." Do you realize it was the culture that crucified our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? It was a culture that would rather have a murderer turn loose in their streets than a miracle worker. It's a culture that cannot discern its left hand from its right hand. It's a culture and Peter said, "Save yourself from this crooked, perverse, wicked culture that we're living." Jesus Christ was God manifest in the flesh, but also he was in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Do you understand today that Jesus constantly would tell them in that culture, "Search the scripture." That's the word. Search the scripture for in them you think you have life, but these are they that testify of me. It is a culture that would crucify the word of God. John the Baptist came preaching repentance to this culture. He came preaching repentance to this culture. And as he preached repentance to this culture, Luke chapter 3 verse number four, here's John's preaching as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet. The voice of one. Somebody say one. >> The voice of one. I'm going to tell you what we need today. I'm going to tell you what we need today. You're going to find out about Neboth in just a moment. But we need more people that are not have that you don't have to have a friend to believe. We need more people today. We need more people in our church today that doesn't have to have a small group. I'm not preaching against small groups. Thank God for nurturing fellowship. But I don't have to have a small group to believe what I need to believe. Thank God for the I wish somebody just shout the voice of one. >> The voice of one. God give us the spirit of the voice of one >> as it is written saying the voice of one crying in the wilderness. What's he crying? Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make his paths what? Straight. Every valley shall be filled. Every mountain and hill shall be brought low. And the crooked shall be made straight. And the rough shall be made smooth. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. So let me just tell you in preaching about Neabboth, Ahab and Jezebel, I had to talk about them first because they represent the culture. They represent a godless culture. They represent the world in which Nabboth lived. Now go back to First Kings 21 and we'll reread. We will we'll reread verse number one. It came to pass after these things that Neabboth the Jezraelite w had a vineyard which was in Jezeb Jezel hard close by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. Ahab spake unabboth saying give me thy vineyard that I may have it for a garden of herbs because it is near unto my house. I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it, or if it seemed good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. And Nabbot said, and Nabbot said to Ahab, it's time for some Neabbots to speak to the culture. >> It's time for us to open up and not be ashamed >> of what we believe. And Neabb said to Ahab, "The Lord forbid it me that I should give the inheritance of my fathers un unto thee." Now he said, "I'll give you." Now look at what the culture offers them. I I will give you. Now the first thing, let me mention this. Ahab's palace was close to Neabb's vineyard, but it hadn't always been close. Ahab's palace and Jezebel's palace was their winter home. It was a place that they had looked the landscape over to have a winter home to go to. Neabb's vineyard was there before Ahab's palace. Somebody had to sell their inheritance for Ahab to get close to Neabb. >> Folks, we don't need compromising >> because the more you compromise, the closer the enemy moves in. >> With every compromise, he takes a step closer to us. Somebody told me one time they wanted me to preach for them and they said, "Well, there's just a little compromise there." And it was saying it like it's not that bad. But a little compromise is like being a little pregnant. You either is or you ain't. >> I don't want any compromise in my life. Because the more truth we compromise, the more we allow our culture to downgrade and dumb down the word of God and we allow the culture to move in. It's getting closer and closer and closer. We need the truth and nothing but the truth. And so help us God. And please families of First Apostolic Church, don't you compromise. Because the more you compromise, the more he moves in toward the church. >> Somebody sold out. Somebody let down. Somebody allowed the culture to say, "I'll give you another vineyard. I'll give you a better vineyard." Boy, isn't that what our culture says to us today? Like to give you something better. We sell out to the culture of mammoth. We sell out to the culture of money. He said, ' If you don't want a better vineyard, he said, ' Then I'll give you money for it because I'm going to change I'm going to change the purpose of the vineyard. I'm going to make it a garden of herbs. I'm going to change its culture. I'm going to change what you plant there. A vineyard produced wine. Wine was meant for the joy and wine was also for medicine. It was medicine in that day. Herbs is just something herbs is just something he wanted to change around. It's more like flowers that he wanted that he wanted to grow. But thank God for a man that referred to the word of God. He didn't say, "Well, I I don't really want to do this. I've lived here a long time. I really don't want to I really don't want to do this." He told the reason that he would not sell out. It was an emphatic no. He said, "The Lord forbids me to sell this. It is written in the word of God." Now, Ahab, I know that you have no respect for the word of God. I know that you think people that have Bibles. I know that you think people that have Bibles are are just, you know, there there's something wrong with them. They need a Jesus crutch. They need a crutch called the Bible. Those poor, pitiful people that get their Bible out on a plane. I I've noticed this when I study my Bible on a plane. I notice it gets one of two reactions from people around me. I either get questions asked to me about the Bible or you will see they'll almost turn their shoulder away. You can open up any magazine and not not upset them. But when you begin to open up a Bible in this culture, it seems to have an offensive odor about it. But Nabboth, he was a man that produced fruit. And when Ahab said, "The Lord," the Ahab said, "I want your vineyard." Nabbas said, "The Lord forbids me to sell you this vineyard." Leviticus chapter 25 verse number 23. Look at this. Leviticus 25. This is the land that Nabboth was living on. God said, "The land shall not be sold forever, for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and souljourers with me." In other words, he says,"I can't sell what's not mine. This is what's called an inheritance. My parents lived on this property. My greatgrandparents lived on this property. My my my descendant, my my my my ancestors that came out of Egypt and made it through the wilderness were given this property called the promised land. It doesn't belong to me. I'm reminded every day that I put the plow in the ground. I'm reminded every day when I walk around this property, it doesn't belong to me. I'm blessed because of this property. I'm blessed because of this vineyard. This is where I make my living. This is where I raise my children. This is where we live. We live on God's property. Oh, today that you and I could be baptized with an understanding that every good thing comes from God. Everything it's not mine. It's God's. I'm just being able to live on it and live from it. But Ahab and Jezebel have no respect or regard for the word of God. But a but Nabboth does. Nabboth believed the scripture in Proverbs 23:23. Buy the truth and sell it not. What do you buy the truth with? You buy the truth with two things. You buy the truth with obedience and action. If you want, what's the currency to buy the truth? You buy the truth with obedience to the word and you buy the truth with actions that the word produces. No, Neabb. No, Ahab, the vineyard is not for sale and it's not for trade. No. Verse four of First Kings 21. And Ahab came into his house heavy, displeased, because of the word which Nabbot the Jezraelite had spoken to him. For he had said, "I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers." And he laid down upon his bed and turned his face and would not eat bread. You big baby. We live in a narcissistic world. When they can't control us, it bothers them. >> It bothers them. That big thumbsucking baby went home and got in his bed and pulled his covers up and put his big thumb in his mouth and turned his face. They tried to bring him dinner and he turned I don't want to eat. I'm upset. It bothers me. It disturbs me. But here's the problem. Ahab represents power. He's the king. But Jezebel represents spirit. She's deception. >> And when authority and a and deception, you hear me now? When authority and deception get married, woe be to the people in its path. Jezebel, verse five, Jezebel his wife came to him and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad that thou eatest no bread? He said unto her, because I spake unto Nab the Jezraelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money, or else if it pleas thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it. And he answered, he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. Watch the spirit go to work. Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dust thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? Are you not in power? Arise, eat bread, and let thine heart be merry. I will give thee the vineyard of Neabboth the Jezraelite. He She says, "Are you not in power? Is your power not able to override the will of the people?" >> You just let that sink in for a moment. The people have no will. Those in power, those in power want to override the will of the people. Say, "Aren't you in power? I don't care if I don't care that he doesn't want to sell his vineyard. I don't care that he doesn't want to trade his. Are you not in power? I will get it for you." Now, watch how she goes to work. Verse eight. So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, sealed them with his seal. She used his signature. She used his authority. She didn't came as the deceiving Jezebel. She came as the king. She wrote letters in the Ahab's name and sealed them with his seal and set the sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city dwelling with Nabb. She wrote in the letter saying, "Proclaim a fast. That sounds spiritual." Can you Can I tell you something? Beware. Everything that sounds spiritual isn't. I care if it sounds spiritual. The word has got to back it up. That's why we worship God in spirit >> and in truth. If it's spirit with no truth, stay away from it. >> But you'll never have truth with no spirit. She wrote letters, proclaim a fast, set Nab on high among the people, elevated, and sent and set two men, the sons of Bal. Those are those are foolish men. Those are hired fools. That's what they are. They're they're hired fools. set two men sons of Balile hired paid off fools before him to bear witness against him saying thou did blaspheme God and the king then carry him out and stone him that he may die in other words people today the culture we're living in today will say things that are not true for the purpose of gain Verse 11. And the men of his city, even the elders, the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them. And as it was written in the letters which he had sent, which she had sent unto them, they proclaimed a fast and set Nabboth on high. The people, can you see Nabboth thinking that this is a spiritual thing? He may even be thinking he may even be thinking that he's going to be praised for not selling out. They set him on high and while he set on high there came in two men children of Blay paid off fools and set before him and the men of Bal witnessed against him. It was a lie even against Nabbot in the presence of people saying Nabbot did blasphemed God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city and stoned him with stones that he died. Then they then they sent to Jezebel, saying, "Nabboth is stoned and is dead." Can Can you see that today? The only thing the culture can bring against truth is a lie. >> Let me say it again. The only thing the culture can bring against truth is a lie. That's why we need to be students of truth so that we identify the crafty way that Jezebel weaves her lies into us. They stoned Nabboth. Nabboth died. Verse 15. Came to pass when Jezebel heard that Nabboth was stoned and was dead, that Jezebel sent to Ahab, arise, said to Ahab, "Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Nabboth the Jezraelite, which which he refused to give thee for money, for Nabboth is not alive, but dead." Came to pass when Ahab heard that Nabboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Neabb, the Jezraelite, to take possession. Now I'm going, man, isn't that cruel? They stoned him. He's dead. They've lied on him. They've lied on him. The culture has buried him. Hear it, please. The culture has buried him. But because the culture will bury you doesn't mean that God has forgotten you. >> You got to always remember, culture doesn't have last say. God does. You got to remember with anything going on in your life right now, don't have sleepless nights because of what people say, think, or feel about you. Because in the end, God has the last say about your life. God has that last say. >> Go down and take it, man. and he goes down. He going to get in that vineyard. He going to get in that vineyard. He going to possess it. But verse 17 comes, and the word of the Lord came to Elisha the Tishbite. Arise, go down, meet Ahab, the king of Israel, which is in Samaria. Behold, he is in the vineyard of Neabboth. Wait a minute. No, no. Neabboth's dead. Oh, no. Not to me. He's not. He's in the vineyard of Neabb whether he has gone down to possess it. And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus sayeth the Lord, hast thou killed, and also taken possession. And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus sayaeth the Lord, in the place where dogs lick the blood of Nabboth, shall dogs, Here's some more prophecy coming. Here's some more prophecy coming. You see, I the culture doesn't believe in prophecy and they ridicule prophecy. But here's some more culture. Here's some more prophecy coming. The word of the Lord said, "The blood the the the dogs that licked up the blood of Nabbot shall lick thy blood even e even thine." And Ahab said, look at no repentance here. And Ahab said, "Hast thou found me, oh my enemy?" Stop right there. Is that not what the culture of our day sees the Bible as? >> Is that not what they say? Is not communism? Was not that not built on it is they said it is the opioid of of of the people. Religion is a drug. We got to get That's what it is. We got to get people off drugs. We got to get them out of the Bible. We got to get them out of this so we can preach to them what we want preached. But thanks be unto God. I'm preaching today from a book that will be alive and real when the world is on fire. I'm preaching from a book today that's anointed. It's God ordained. It is the living word of God. It last outlast kings. It outlast it outlast tyrants. It has survived time today. Culture cannot drown the word of the living God. The Bible is not the enemy. The culture is the enemy. Read your Bible, you'll be healthy. Read your Bible, you'll be happy. Obey your Bible, you'll have wholeness on the inside. Obey your Bible. Have you found me, oh mine enemy? And he answered, come on, answer back to culture. And he he said, "Have you found me, oh my enemy?" And he answered, "I have found thee, because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord. Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity." And I I can't I had down not even to read that verse right there. That it it gets real graphic right there. All right. He said, "You're not going to have any descendants. You're not going to have any sons when God gets through with you. Nobody's going to keep your name. Nobody's going Nobody's going to have your name. Here is prophecy. Here is prophecy delivered. You see, don't lose your faith in the promises of God, church. Please, please, please don't lose your faith in the promises of God because you expect it to come just right now. The promises of God will come when God's will says the promise comes. Keep believing. Keep praising. Keep worshiping. Keep living right. And the promise will come. Let's stay where we're at. Let's believe what we do because it's the word of God. And one day a trumpet's going to sound and it's all going to be over. And as the old song says, it's going to be worth it all. Some beautiful, wonderful, happy day. It's going to be worth it all. It's going to be worth it all. But can I tell you, I believe it's worth it right now. How many are glad that you obey the Bible? How many can remember when you didn't obey the Bible and you're obeying the Bible now? And life is way better for me right now than it ever was back then. So time passes on, time rolls on. Ahab lives in the vineyard, changes it from a vineyard to herbs. Ahab gets more space to his house. Ahab lives on. Time went on. The prophecy was still true. Prophecy was still true. Time went on. But oh, Ahab, he's he's a land greedy guy, man. He's he's greedy for more land. So, he says, "You know what? Rayoth Gilead belongs to us. Let's go up to Ray Gilead. Let's let's let's get Rayoth Gilead." But but Ahab, king of uh king of Israel, he he wants to get he wants to get Jehoshaphat, king of uh Judah. He wants to get him involved in the battle. He needs some men. He needs some men to work. He needs a uh confederation to help him kind of go against Ray Gilead. So he goes down and he gets Jehoshaphat and he says to Jehoshaphat, he says, "Hey, does Rayoth Gilead not belong to us?" He said, "Yeah, it does." He said, "Why don't you join with me? Why don't you join with me? Let's go take Rayoth Gilead." And uh Joshua had had he he wasn't a perfect man is but he was way more godly than Ahab. He says, "Well, let's hear what the word of the Lord says." And the word of the Lord. Well, I got 400 words of the Lord. I I got me 400 prophets and they knew what Oahab wanted. Yeah. Can I tell you this culture has a religion >> and it changes its Bible every month. I don't care how big it is. >> This culture has a religion. >> And that religion, those 400 false prophets knew exactly what Ahab wanted to hear. So they told Ahab, "Aren't you thankful today that when we preach from the word of God, it's not what we necessarily want to hear, >> but it's what we need to hear, man. I feel the Lord. >> I got 400 of them. I got I got 400 of them. I got 400. I got to go. I got to I got to hurry. I got 400 of them. Come on. Let's go down here to the 400 show. You've heard of the 7 700 club. Let's go down here to the 400 club. All right. Casting no light just using two. Man, them 400 guys, they got it. They had a big show. They had iron horns and two of them 200 got over here and 200 with iron horns got over here and they said, "Thus sayeth the Lord, we shall push back Rayoth Gilead." And they'd take them iron horns and they'd push him of the 200 back. A wayab looked at Jehoshaphat and said, "What do you think about that?" Jehoshaphat said, "I'm a little uneasy here." Said, "Is there not one more? Do Do you not have one more that we could hear from?" "Yeah, I got one more, but I hate him." Well, why do you hate him? He never prophesies good for me. I hate him. He said, "Well, bring it. Go get him." They went and got him. Maya, they went and got Maya and they said, "Uh, well, they went and got him because he wasn't with the 400. >> God have mercy." Folks, let me tell y'all something. You know, I've uh I've had a issue with my left foot, my heel. My arches are falling at McDonald's. And uh um so I' I've been I've been it's been it hurt. I've done everything. I I' I've done everything. I froze every bottle, rolled my heel on every bottle. So Friday Friday I finally went broke down, went to the doctor up here at Blunt Memorial. He said, "I don't normally give you a shot. I don't cortisone whatever. I don't normally do it on the first visit." He told me everything I've been I've been freezing a bottle and rolling it. I've been taking a towel and pulling my big toe up. I've been doing everything. He said, "Uh, you want a shot, don't you?" And I said, "Well, I'll be honest with you, that's what my wife told me not to leave here with. So, she told me." He said, "It's going to hurt." He said, "It's going to hurt." I said, "Well, how bad?" He said, "Well, it's going to really hurt." I said, "Well, I've had a shot in my hip." He said, "Oh, that's a shot right there." Said, "I do them, man." He laid me back, brother or he laid me back on that table. He grabbed my foot and I was clawing. I I mean, I'm the little paper they got out there for you. lay on. I start ripping that back clawing that paper and I said, "Is it done?" He said, "I ain't even started yet." I was, "Oh, God." I went home. He gave me that shot. And I'm going tell you something. He had to tell me one time. He said, "Breathe, breathe." He says, "Third sex breathe." I stop breathing. I get in the wall. Oh, you you y'all know. Anybody ever have shot in your heel? Anybody? Oh, Jesus. love you. I went home and I was telling Lauren about she said, "Oh, don't talk to me. I've had three babies." I said, "I'd go to test with you right now." I said, "All that to you this, I can run now." And if it wasn't for I'm running the clock right now, I'd run around this building. But I am glad when they have to go get a true man of God that they had to go somewhere else than the 400 >> because some people are more they're they're more mindful of being part of the crowd than they are standing for the truth of God's word. I'm talking about being a Nabboth. I'm talking about being a Charlie. I'm talking about being somebody that can stand up for what you for what you believe in. They had to go. They had to go get him. >> And when they went to get him, when they went to get him, the guy that went to get him said, "Now see here now, 400 have already said good things. Go up to him. You You say the same thing." He said, "I shall say nothing but what the Lord puts in my mouth." >> So he got there and they said, "What say you, Mia?" He said, "Well, go up to Rayob Gilead and prosper." And it made the king mad. He said, "Haven't I always adjured you to speak nothing but the truth in my presence?" Oh, is it truth you're wanting? Oh, the truth is, oh, you soldiers need to go home because I saw the Lord showed me all of Israel scattered upon the hills. said, "You need to go home." He said, "Didn't I tell you? Didn't I tell you?" He never prophesized nothing good. He said, "Well, I'm not done yet." He said, "I also saw the Lord sitting on the throne, and the angels were on his left and his right." And the Lord said to the angels, he said, "Uh, could somebody help me? Can somebody tell me how I can convince Ahab to go up to Rayoth Gilead that he may die in battle? Because prophecy says, "Brother Art, he's going to die." Could somebody tell me? And one angel said this, and another angel said that. And then came a spirit into the midst. And the spirit said, "I can convince him to go." And he said, "How would you do that?" He said, "I will go and be a lying spirit in the mouth of his prophets." He said, "Go." And he said, "Uh, you'll not come back from this battle. You'll die. You'll die in this battle." And he said, "I want you to take this prophet and put him in jail. Feed him nothing but a little bit of water a day and a little bit of bread a day until I come back." Then Mia looked at Ahab and he said, "If you come back, I'm no prophet at all." Now, the rest is kind of little odd. Ahab and Je Ahab and and Joset go to battle. And right before Ahab gets on the battlefield, that dude comes out of his kingly garment, he says, "Uh, I I'm going to take my crown off my head and I'm going to take my robe off and I'm I'm going to get into battle." Now what he was doing, he knew very well that they would only fight with the kings. So he didn't want to be a target. But you see Jehoshaphat and be careful when you go to battle with >> Oh, Jehoshaphat. He just as dumb as a box of rocks. He got his throne. He got his crown on, his robe on, got a big J on the back, you know, got in a fancy chariot. >> When the army on the other side said, "Hey fellas, don't fight with anybody but the kings." Well, man, the next thing knew Jehoshaphat was being peppered with with arrows and things and he cried out. He cried out, "I'm not Ahab. I'm not Ahab." No, no, no. And they left off fighting with Jehoshaphat. But oh, Ahab was still in the crowd. And at the end of the day, a soldier on the other side, Brother Marshall, he just took a bow and he held it up like this and he just let it go over over the over the crowd. And when he did, that arrow came right down, found its man. Its man had been prophesied that you'll die. And that spear went into the most vulnerable part of his armor. It went in and through his chest. And he cried out. Ahab cried out, "Take me out of the battle, for I am wounded. Take me out of the battle." And they took him and they took him to Jezrael. They took him right to the spot where Nabal's blood where where excuse me, yes. Nabbal's bloodbath's blood. Let me get the right Bible character. That Nabboth's blood was spilled. They took him right to the spot and there they washed his chariot out. There they washed his armor down and the blood came and the dogs came just like God's word said. Well, time is beating me right now. But old Jezebel is still alive. She's still alive. And years go on. She is so demonic that she has her own son killed because she's afraid that he'll overtake her. She She don't She won't keep anything, brother Hammond. She won't keep anything around her that can reproduce. You'll always find Jezebel You always find Jezebel surrounded by Unix. Unix can never reproduce. She she she always has an environment around her that can never reproduce anything different than she is. Time went on and God raised up a an enthusiastical zealous on fire man by the name of Ju. Raised a man by the name of Jahu. God said to Jahu, "Prophecies clock is clicked. It's time for Jezebel to die." Jahu went down with his horses. And the Bible tells us that Jezebel heard Jezebel heard that Ahab was coming. 2 Kings chapter 9:30. I hope this is all right today. >> I could run around this building right now. >> I'm more determined right now this week to be the voice of one than I have ever in all of my life. I am more determined right now to preach truth and nothing but the truth than I have ever been. And listen, I I may I may have turned 65 years old, but I am more determined right now to be a voice in this culture. They'll want to silence us. They'll try to kill us, but you can't kill truth. You can't kill truth. Kill Nebot, but he still owns a vineyard. Take the life of Charlie Kirk, but it'll raise up an army of people today that see it for what it is. How many want to be? I may take a little bit of our altar call time here. 2 Kings 9 and 30. And when Jahu was come to Jezrael, sound familiar? That's where Nab had a vineyard. When Je when when Jay Hugh was come to Jezrael, Jez Jezebel heard of it and she painted her face and tied her head and looked out at the window. Now, she didn't paint her face to be a what we we talk about. Oh, that girl's a Jezebel. That woman's a Jezebel. No, she's trying to disguise herself. See, the spirit of Jezebel that's still in our world today has to disguise itself. It's got to disguise itself. She tied her head. Now, make this one point and and I'm inspired by these two young men on the front row here today. Um, Brother Toro, brother John Phipe. And I and I call you brothers because you're going to grow up to be the finest men this church has ever seen. You're you're going to grow up. And would you please notice a different generation took care of Ahab and another generation took care of Jeze Jezebel? >> Our last generation took care of one thing. But don't you, dad think that we're getting weaker as the time goes by? >> One generation will take care of Ahab and another generation will take care of Jezebel. >> One generation. We we got saints of God that can't be here today because of their age and unable to get out of the house. And they slew the Ahabs. But the church is not going down because we got a new generation that's saying, "Wait a minute. There's a spirit that's aloof today. There's a spirit that's got to be fought today. Verse number 30. Let me try to read this. Let me try to read this. And when Jay Hugh was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, she painted her face and tied her head, looked out a window. And as J as Ju entered into the at the gate, she said, "Have Zimr peace who slew his master. And he lifted up his face to the window." She's trying to insinuate. She's trying to get him off the subject. And he lifted up. Ju lifted up his face to the window and said, "Who is on my side? Who?" And there looked out to him two or three unics. Remember what I told you about Jezebel? And he said, "Throw her down." So they threw her down. And some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall. I'm sorry for you that haven't had breakfast this morning. And on the horses. And he trod her underfoot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink and said, "Go now and see this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter." Can I tell you, you shouldn't have any regrets when you put to death a spirit that is demonic in its nature. You shouldn't have any regrets that you have put to death. Don't let Jezebel speak from the grave and have any sympathy. You ought to take care of Jezebel. Get off your horse. go into the restaurant and eat a meal and come back out. You shouldn't have any regrets. If you got any regrets of leaving the world, you're going to go back to the world. But I don't have any regrets of leaving this world. This world is not our home. This culture has nothing for us. Come on, praise him right now. I said, "This culture has nothing for us. The music has nothing for us. The entertainment has nothing for us. The fashion industry has nothing for us. It has nothing for us. He went in, had him dinner, and came back out, said, "You know what? She is a king's daughter. We ought to bury her." Verse 35. And they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands. Man, even the dogs didn't want to eat her head. Even the dogs didn't want to eat her ugly hands. Even the dogs didn't want to eat her feet. Verse 36. Wherefore they came again and told him and said, "This is the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezrael shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel, and the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezrael, so that they shall say not, "This is Jezebel." In other words, get her out. Get her out. Remove her totally. That's one of the last places in the Old Testament that Jezebel's name's mentioned. You see, Jezebel gets a lot of pullpit time when a preacher gets attacked. Oh, the spirit of Jezebel is after the preacher. Spirit of Jezebel is after the word. >> So that would mean that Jezebel is not only after me today. He's after you. Revelation 2:18, unto the angel of the church in Thyati, write saith these things, saith the son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass. I know thy works, charity, service, faith, patience, works, and the last to be more than the first. You're doing more now than you've ever done. Notwithstanding, I have a few things against you, God says, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetus to teach, and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to all idols. I gave her space to repent of her fornication. She repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into a great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he which searchth the reigns and hearts. I will give to every every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, unto the rest in thy retire, as many as I as have not this doctrine of which have not known the depths of Satan as they speak, I will put upon you none other burden. But that ye which have already that have already hold fast, say the last words of that, hold fast till I come. And he that overcomemeth and keep my works unto the end. To him will I give power over the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers. Even as I received of my father, I will give him the morning star. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear what the spirit says. Can I tell you what is in our day today? The spirit of Jezebel. It is not only in our world. It will try to get in our church. It will try. The spirit of rebellion will try to get in our church. Can I tell you, you got to search the truth. You got to know the truth. You got to identify the truth. And anything that questions truth is not of God. that this spirit of Jezebel, this this calling herself a prophetus, this this this fornication, this adultery, having interaction with that which is not truth. What do you say today as you stand? What do you say? Let's be a nabboth today. Come on. Have anybody in this place today that you would say, I want to be a neb. I want to be a neighabboth today. I want to be a neighboth today. I got news for you. Let's hold firm to the word of truth. >> You got your Bibles with you today? Would you hold it up with me right now? Would you hold your Bibles up with me right now? If you got your Bibles today, shake them real good. Would you? Come on, Sister Bernett. Let's hold on to truth today. Let's hold on to truth today. We going to get prayer good and stirred up in this church and then we're going to go into Bible reading more than we've ever we've ever went into Bible reading today because ye shall know the truth and the truth shall come on today. How many of you be a neabboth today? Let's hold firm to the truth. Let me hear it today. There is only one God. only one God. >> There is only one God. >> And his name is Jesus. >> He's the father of creation. >> He's the son of redemption. He's the Holy Ghost in the church today. There is but one God that is true. Well, brother Carpenter, yeah, Brother Carpenter, it just depends on what side of the fence you're on. No, no, no. Don't be on either side of the fence. Be on the fence cuz the fence is truth. There is only one God and his name is Jesus. He's the father of creation. He's the son of redemption. He's the Holy Ghost in the church today. When we die and go to heaven, we're going to see one seated upon the throne and it is the glorified Jesus Christ. There's only one way to be baptized and that is in Jesus' name. There's only one way to receive the Holy Ghost and that is the evidence of speaking in other tongues. There's only one way. How many you don't even have your Bible? I want to have to come walking down the aisle today with their Bible making a declaration. I'm going to be a neabboth. I'm going to be a neabboth. I'm going to be a nabboth. I'm going to believe. If it kills me, I'm going to believe. If the culture won't fellowship me, I'm going to be I'm I'm going to believe. If people won't be my friend, I'm going to believe. If people turn their back on me, I'm going to believe it. Every time they want to tell me there's more than one God, I'm going to witness that there is only one God. Every time they want to tell me you don't have to be baptized in Jesus' name, I'm going to tell them you do because of what the Bible said. Every time they tell me the Holy Ghost is not for us today, I'm going to tell them that the promise is unto you and your children as many as the Lord I got shall call. Come on, move in close. Move in closer. There's a lot of people coming right now. Come on. Come on. You're needed. Come on. You're needed. Come on. You're needed today. Don't tell me you believe if you're ashamed to speak it. Don't tell me you believe it if you're ashamed to speak it today. Speak it. Speak it. Speak it. Speak it. Speak it. Woo! Hallelujah. Come on. I will be a Midnab of the Apostolic Church. I will be a Charlie Kirk. I will be a Charlie Kirk of the Apostolic Church. Hey, yeah. Come on. I'll be that one. Come on. sincerely. Please, please God. Get your mind on him right now. Prophecy is going to be fulfilled. Jesus is coming soon. There's a heaven to gain and a hell to shine. He's coming soon. Come on, please. Yeah. Come on, raise your hands right now. The enemy wants to assassinate you. The enemy wants to silence your voice. The enemy wants to silence your voice. >> I'm not apostolic today >> because there's a denomination. I'm apostolic because it's true. This is my soul. Here is where I live. >> You may kill me down here, >> but I'm going to live forever over there. >> This is my lay. >> Oh, I wish you'd get in the Holy Ghost right now. This is my >> Oh, I wish you'd pour your heart out to God. >> This is my >> Oh, I know it's I I know I preached a little long today, >> but I beg you in Jesus name. Cry out to God. >> I'll be a neighbor. I'll be a Charlie Kirk of the apostolic faith for you to do whatever you want. Do whatever you want. And I will make room for you to do whatever you want to. Do whatever you want to do. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. I love the truth and I'm not going to sell it. I love the truth and I'm not going to sell it. I'm not going to sell it. I want the truth and I'm not going to sell it. The Bible says to raise your hands. The Bible says to lift your voice. The Bible says to clap your hands. The Bible says to shout with the voice of triumph. Oh my break down the wall. Oh my. >> I'll be a rainbow. I'll be your neighbor. I'll be your neighbor. I believe in your way. I will make you. We will be the neigh box. And a man is a man. And that a woman is a woman. I'll be a neigh box. That a man should dress like a man. And a woman should dress like a woman. I'll be a neighbor. I'll be a neighbor. >> Come on. Will you be a neighbor? All my tradition. Straight up the ground of all my tradition. Break down my walls. All my religion always. Let's close with this. Let's close with this. A person gets nowhere with God until you open this book with submission. Submission is to the understanding of this book what home plate is in a baseball game. You start at home plate and you finish at home plate. I said submission is the home plate in baseball. You start at home base and you finish with home base. Can I tell you today, I hope this sinks down into your soul. Submission is knowing that you don't know all. Submission is knowing. You know why I'm going to come to church and hear the Bible preach? It's because I don't know it all. I don't know it all. I thought I saw Sister Jean Phipe here that day. If you're here, Sister Jean Phipe, raise your right there. I should know he's down here in front. I should know that. She's a professor at University of Tennessee, Study of Trees. I I was wanting to ask you this and I hope it goes the way I hope it goes. Okay. You studied trees. You're just in Germany this week, weren't you? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're back at church today. Fast planes. Yeah. Slow layovers. Yeah. So, you've studied trees. Do you know everything about trees? You don't. You don't know everything about trees. Do you still study about trees? Great. It works with my sermon. We didn't talk before this, did we? There's no free pass to the coffee shop. Okay. Ought to give you one though. Can I tell you something? Get this book and open it up and read it. But as you read it, understand know that I don't know all. And when the word when you come and sit down and you you hear a God- ordained system, God ordained system, pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, when they open their book, and you stand before them, stand there and say, "God, I don't know. >> I know that I don't know." That's why I'm here, pastor. I know that I don't know. If you ever remove submission from your life, hear this now. If you ever submit, if you ever remove submission from your life, nothing works. Nothing works. And it's possible to have submission when you're on first plate. You You don't get the first plate first base till you start the home plate. >> You don't hit the ball from I and I'm insultive. You're intelligent. You don't hit the ball from first pl first base. You hit it from home. But how many people, how many baseball players have knocked it out of the park and made one crucial mistake? They got to first and they touched first and they got to second and they touched second and they got to third and they touched third. But when they rounded to come to home plate, they simply failed. I mean, you see all kind of dives, slides. Matter of fact, okay, now I didn't talk to you before. If anybody gets in my way between third base and home base, do I have to go around them, go through them? Wouldn't I be disqualified if I run over them? Just jumbly. You know something about baseball? I'm not I'm not getting my answer. >> I thought you told you're just being arrogant because Georgia barely beat us last night. All right, that's that's >> you. I can't run them over. Can I tell you something? in between third base and home base. When it comes to this Bible, it gonna be a lot of things because the devil knows his time is short. >> He gonna put everything in your way. >> But I'm going to tell you something. Get you a good head of steam and just run over it. But be sure that you left your left home plate with submission. And you got to reach back and touch it with submission. Keep that same submitted spirit. Well, Lord Jesus, thank you for today. I want to be a I want to be a Nabboth. I want to be a Charlie Kirk of the apostolic doctrine. God, I want to be Lord. I want to be that man that'll stand against the culture, raise my children, preach to the church. God, keep us safe. Lord, keep us safe on our way home today. Keep us safe coming back to the prayer room at 5:30. God, keep us safe tonight. Let the word be anointed tonight. I submit myself to thee in Jesus name we all pray. Shake hands, hug next. God bless you. You're dismissed.
