you have your Bibles and would stand with me this morning thank you for coming to the house of the Lord today summer has started summer has started and these hard-working people here many of them are on vacation and God bless them as they receive rest and as they return as they return home Genesis chapter number nine and verse number eight is where we we will begin Genesis chapter 9 and verse number eight and God spanked unto Noah and to his sons with him saying and I behold I establish my Covenant with you and with your seed after you and with every living creature that is with you of the fowl of the cattle and of every beast of the Earth with you from all that go out of the Ark to every beast of the Earth and I will establish my Covenant with you neither shall All Flesh be cut off any more By the Waters of a flood neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the Earth and God said this is the token or a sign this is the sign of the Covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you for a perpetual or Perpetual Generations I do set my bow in the cloud and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the Earth and it shall come to pass when I bring a cloud over the Earth that the bow shall be seen in the cloud and I will remember my Covenant which is between me and you and every living creature of All Flesh and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh and the bow shall be in the cloud and I will look upon it that I may remember the Everlasting Covenant between God and every living creature of All Flesh that is upon the Earth and God said unto Noah this is the token of the Covenant which I have established between me and All Flesh that is upon the Earth simply today I want to begin a summer series if I could say it that way on covenants covenants the backbone of the Bible covenants the backbone of the Bible if you pray today please remember to pray for brother Darren Cooper yesterday they lay his grandmother to rest down in Mississippi let's pray for comforting touch for him our great God Of Heaven this morning we come before you Lord we know that your word is powerful God man's words man's words are not Eternal man's words can carry no power in and of themselves but God we know what you say and we know your word Lord has eternal power Lord for the next few moments today let me set the stage to talk about the covenants God that run through the Bible Lord I ask God that you would comfort the Cooper Family Lord that you would be with them today and comfort them and we'll give you praise and honor in Jesus name we pray amen amen Give the Lord a hand of Praise before you're seated when you grab the Bible and you hold 66 books in your hands this Bible has one theme that runs from the first book Genesis to the last book revelation this Bible has absolutely one thing all of the stories the thousands of years it covered covers it has only one thing it is a book about Redemption it is a book about Redemption everything that takes place through this book from Bloodlines to Blessings all have one thing to present to you and I this morning a god of redemption God had become angry and God purposed and repented that he'd ever made man upon the Earth and through a series of verses the same God that created this Earth decided that he would destroy a man and all things that had the life of breath in them but among Humanity stood a man by the name of Noah the Bible simply tells us that Noah that he walked with God and that Noah found Grace the eyes of the Lord to the best of Noah's ability he was trying to maintain a righteous Spirit he was trying to live Godly in a corrupt generation he was trying his very best to be a man that was after God and God spoke to this man by the name of Noah and God gave Noah A Plan of Redemption that Noah was to build this vessel we know as the ark that a worldwide flood was coming upon the Earth that the only way to be saved and preserved was to build this humongous floating vessel we call The Ark Noah followed God's instructions to the team the type of wood the lent the width the height everything that God told him the Bible says Noah did just like God had commanded him and finally God had Noah to enter into the ark and God shut the door of the Ark the Bible said it began to reign and it rained 40 days and it rained 40 nights but not only did it rain was the rain a cause of the flood the Bible says that The Fountains of the deep were broken up The Fountains of the deep the water underneath the surface the water underneath the surface of the Earth The Fountains of the deep erupted and began to flood the Earth the Bible says the rain lasted in the floods the Deep were broken up until the tallest mountain was covered by 20 feet of water after about 150 days of being in the ark the ark comes to rest and they removed the cover to the ark what a feeling it must have been Church to Noah and his family to know that they're the only people upon the Earth they have the only life inside of that Ark is the only life wherein there is the breath there is the breath of life Noah did a great thing the first thing Noah did when he came out of the Ark the first thing Noah did when he came out of the Ark was not to build himself a home the first thing that Noah did students he built them he built an altar unto God the first thing that Noah did was to bring out clean animals fit animals prized animals there he offered these animals as burnt sacrifices unto the god that had kept him and his family safe through the flood and the Bible says that the Lord smelled a sweet saver God smelled an aroma that triggered the memory in God's mind of when he walked with Adam in the cool of the day it triggered a moment in his mind when man was without sin it triggered this moment of being pleased in his mind and it was God that wanted to make the very first Covenant in the Bible now a covenant some of the some of us may say well I'm familiar with covenants brother Carpenter because a covenant is like a contract well it is and it's not you see a contract is between two parties let's say let's say that most of us when we purchased a home went to a lending institution and there we sat down the haunt the house was for x amount of dollars of which we did not have but the lending institution had so we sat down and there's a contract that you have to sign 14 million times there on that table that day all right sounds like some of you been there and you sign and you sign and you sign it's a contract between two parties it's a contract between two parties The Lending institution is saying we're going to give you that money now we're going to make available these funds to the seller now we're going to go ahead and give them what they're asking but in return we're going to add interest and you're going to have monthly payments for 15 20 30 years you're going to have these payments that you that you pay back to us and as long as you fulfill your end you're in at the end of the payments you will own this house clear we'll remove any restrictions we'll remove anything from a title it will become years Lock Stock and Barrel but the difference with the Covenant is it is between two parties but the purpose of God's covenant is to build relationship it is to bring the two parties closer together I doubt very seriously you're wanting to know your lender more closely I would say that you're looking for the day that you stroke that last check I would say you're looking for the day that you no longer have to send that off to them and you can say Good Riddance so a contract does not build relationships yet but God so orchestrated that through his word through this book that we hold there are several covenants that God Made It Wasn't Man pleading with God it was God saying I am going to make a covenant with you now I believe that at the core of this very first Covenant that God made because at this at this core of the Covenant I personally believe is that God didn't want Adam or excuse me Noah to live a life of fear God didn't want Noah nor his family that had been eyewitnesses to the flood to live their life in fear of another flood because in order for God to sustain life he must bring clouds and he must bring rain in order for there to be crops to eat in order for there to be life God says I have to cause them to have cloudy days I have to cause them to have storms and I have to cause them to have rainy days they can't live without rainy days they can't live without the clouds they can't live without the storms but I know the tendency of Noah I know the tendency of man when it begins to Cloud up and it begins to rain will my people live in fear is God going to do it again will God destroy us by a flood again will there be another flood will we be destroyed kids hurry up and get in the house we must needs build another boat God may be angry again and so it was God it was God that said Noah I want to establish a covenant with you I want to make you a promise Noah that I will never again Destroy All Flesh by a flood now many that one of many that want to say to the Bible has errors all through it we'll point out and say well if that was true why do we have flooding today we do have flooding today but we don't have worldwide flooding today what God promised was not that there would be no floods but what God promised was that there would know that he would no longer Destroy All Flesh by a flood and so this God of Covenant that cared about Noah think about it now I want to just really establish this series this God that cared how Noah felt this God that cared that Noah would have the emotion of fear the next time it clouded up and began to rain this same God said Noah I want to remove the fear I want to remove the fear from you no I promise you I covet I make a covenant with you that I will no longer I give you my word I will never again Destroy All Flesh by a flood and to show you a visible sign of my Covenant I not only want to tell you about that I don't only want to tell you and let you tell your children but I am going to so design that after the storm and after the rain that I'm going to sit in the sky in the midst of the clouds I am going to set the beautiful rainbow in the sky and when you look at that rainbow and I forget I'm thinking maybe it was Sister Patterson that sent me one of the Saints sent me the most beautiful picture of this church here after a storm and just perfectly over this church was a rain was it was a rainbow it would it would go ahead and give the Lord a hand of praise it was just a beautiful rainbow that was over that was over that was over this church and he said Noah every time when it rains and you get to feeling like it's that you you you your fear begins to strike your heart he said I'm going to set my bow I'm gonna set my bow in the sky and said you can look at that visible sign and you can tell fear to be released from your life because in life I'm going to have some reins and I'm going to have some storms and I'm going to have I'm going to have some clouds in my life but in the midst of Noah's clouds No as rains and Noah storm he could step out and say did the sun do you see that up there do you see that up there what is it Papa that's a rainbow what is that Papa that's God telling us to tell fear to go on because he will never once again destroy all the Earth could you give God some praise in this house today oh I I I believe the first Covenant I believe the first Covenant in the Bible dealt with fear I believe it dealt with fear because fear is common to all of us fear is common to all of us all of us will have the temptation to fear all of us will have the battle to fear fear is the unknown and the only way that we can overcome the unknown is to know that we're in the hands of a God that knows us the only way that we can overcome fear is when fear begins to bring the storm and the clouds and the rain and we begin to paint in our mind that we're going down and everything is against us somehow or another we have a faith in our God that says no I know the god that keeps me I know the god that he's got me in the palm of his hand and no one is going to snatch me out in first John the gospel not the gospel but the Epistle of John first John chapter 4 verse 16. even here in the Bible they're trying to tell the people about fear first John 4 16. and we have known and believe the love that God hath to us God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him God is love that God is love I want to go back to that verse 16 again and we have known and believed the love that God hath to us let me tell you where you need to start building your faith don't build your faith on your love to God build your faith on God's love to you now if you understand God's love to you you're going to understand your love back to him but you will never understand your love to him because that's up and down because we always don't do like we should do but God has never faltered God is never he listened God's love Stock Exchange has never suffered a decline God has never declined in his love from man God's love has remained the same so man I feel the Holy Ghost thank you Jesus I'm going to tell you if you try to live for God and start with your love you're starting at the wrong point John 4 16. first John 4 16 and we have known and believe the love that God had to us God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him verse 17. herein is our love made perfect look at that God's love is not made perfect our love is made perfect I can't understand my love until I comprehend his love but when I comprehend his love my love is made perfect that doesn't mean without flaw that means to mature that means to mature that means I not only believe that God loves me when I get that unexpected bonus I also believe he loves me when I get that unexpected layoff slip that means I believe God loves me when the doctor looks at me after a checker true story and tells me tells me you have the heart of an athlete tells my wife that works out we're gonna have to give you this this and this and this we're going to help you out and she just says this is not fair and let's walk out of the room I said God's favor just God's favor yes baby so help me the doctor said you're one of these people that'll turn 100 years old I know that's bad news but you're one of these people that'll turn a hundred years old it's not talking about being perfect it's talking about being mature it's talking about understanding that God is not the fickle little boy that wonders if the girl still likes him and gets a clover she loves me she loves me not she loves me she loves me not we don't go and grab life and say Monday God loves me Tuesday God does it Wednesday God's love no no no no our love becomes mature that we understand that we're going to have to have some clouds and we're going to have to have some rain for there to be life we've got to have some days that are not like every other day but in the midstand herein is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as he is so are we in this world there is no fear in love Noah I don't want you being fearful I don't want your grandchildren running and saying papa is God going to kill us is God going to kill everybody again there is no fear in love perfect love casteth out fear because fear hath torment he that feareth is not made perfect in love now he's simply giving us a Bible lesson if you have fear you need to understand you need a baptism of comprehending God's love God is not going to allow you to listen all of God's children get healed hear me today good people all of God's children get healed all of God's children get delivered all of God's children are going to prosper you say well how is that you're preaching funerals left and right some of God's children receive a temporary healing you see Lazarus was raised from the dead once but you know that boy died again that was a there was a time Lazarus died that on the fourth day Jesus didn't come you say well then that's defeat that's not defeat that's not defeat when a child of God dies for God has chosen to give them the ultimate healing God is giving them the ultimate healing well this thing doesn't work for me he delivers all of God's children he'll either deliver you out of that trial or he'll give you the strength to walk through that trial but whatever it is God will give you the ability oh folks I'm just gonna go ahead and tell somebody you might want to watch getting up and walking out for the next few moments because I may just take a lap around this building because God says I don't want you to be fearful of the unknown I want you to rest in a God that loves you I'm able to deliver you out of it I'm able to take you through it but I am going to be able and no weapon that is formed against you is going to prosper I'm able to take you through there is no fear in love perfect love casteth out all fear because fear hath torment he that feareth is not made perfect in love and here is here is the antidote here is the medicine you need to take today we love him because he first we love him start stop starting at your love started his love stop starting it how you love him and what you've done for him because yours is going to be tainted with failure start at the very top God you love me back when if you're in this building today and you were delivered from alcohol and drugs and that's way in your past I got news for you today God doesn't love you any different today than he did when you were on a bar stool or driving around a corner by an illegal drugs God doesn't love you any different today when you didn't have any morals of your life and you went from one relationship to the other and you got the love of God on you and you got born again and you quit doing all that now God may be more pleased with you but God doesn't love you anymore today than he did back then oh you see fear fear involves torment that agonizing fear that robs our soul of joy and confidence in God Romans 8 28. it goes on the screen I wish we'd all read it together and we know and we know and we know and we know and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose Romans 8 30. moreover whom he did predestinate now follow this what is predestination predestination is before he ever formed Adam on the floor of the earth God had already predetermined and predestined that humans would live with him in heaven that was predetermined it was already predetermined before he ever breathed before he ever formed man on the on the floor of the earth God's plan was this man is going to be redeemed and when I redeemed this man I'm going to sanctify this man I'm going to justify him that's the first thing the first thing is predestination before the man was formed I predetermined I predestined the human beings are going to be justified from their sins justification a simple a simple definition is just as if I had never sinned it's called being born again because God became the answer for sin and through the man Christ Jesus we have the wonderful beautiful opportunity to be born again that is justification just as if I had never sinned after justification comes sanctification sanctification is a work that he's doing in our life it is a process I am being Sanctified Sanctified means set apart for the Master's use I am daily being Sanctified you are daily being Sanctified we are being separated through prayer Bible reading Church attendance witnessing living for God we're becoming less like the world sanctification and more like our savior sanctification but there's coming a day that sanctification will come to a screeching halt because he will work on our sanctification until that day of glorification and on that day of glorification the Bible simply says I will show you a mystery we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye this Mortal what was being Sanctified shall put on immortality that's a glorified body that's a body that doesn't need a heartbeat doesn't need a drop of blood and doesn't need oxygen that's a body that'll never suffer death that's a body that'll never suffer cancer that's a body that will never need glasses that is a glorified body and it will happen at the rapture oh my God would you praise him right now with me I feel the Holy Ghost I feel the Holy Ghost in This House today come on praise him right now we have been predestined we have been Justified we're in the process of being we we're in the process of being Sanctified and any moment we could receive glorification listen to chapter 8 and verse number 30. moreover whom God did predestinate them he also called that's the preaching and whom he called them he justified and whom he justified them he glorified how what shall we say to these things what he got to say about God predestined you God sent you a preacher to preach to you you said amen to the preaching you got born again of the water and the spirit God God had Justified you you're in the process of coming back to church and being and being Sanctified and at any moment you can receive glorification what have you got to say to this what shall we say to these things if God be for us who can be against us he that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all how shall he not with him also freely give us all things who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect it is God that justify where they're talking about my sin well who are they they can't forgive you of those sins all they can do is gossip about your sins well somebody said this about me what who are they it is God that justifies I submit to you today we need to get our mind on the one that matters we need to get our ear upon the one that matters thank you oh my God my God my God back to verse 33 back to verse 33 who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect Ed who who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect God that justified who then who who is he that condemneth it is Christ that died yea rather that is risen again who is is even at the right hand of God who also maketh intercession for us say it again verse 35 who shall separate us from the love of Christ Come On Noah I won't give you a covenant because I love you for God so loved the world God should I love you Noah I love your wife I love your family I love all the people that are going to issue out of your loins I love them and I don't want them to be fearful I love them and I don't want them to live in fear I give you this Covenant no I give you this Covenant knowing us let's look at it again who shall separate us from the love of Christ that is a question mark there it is asking a question here it goes shout tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or Peril or sword as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter nay no he says I know what they're saying about you he said they are saying that you're like a bunch of you're like a bunch of mute sheep being slaughtered you're like a bunch of mute sheep having troubles he says as it is written as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long and we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter whose sake are we killed Jesus sake whose sake are we persecuted Jesus sake because at the end of the day it is not about you that the devil is after it's about Jesus and you're just in between Jesus and the devil and if he can get you he's got the witness on the earth of who Jesus is but as long as you're proclaiming as long as you're praising as long as you're worshiping the adversaries say can I tell you when persecution becomes personal you're going to take it personal and shut your thumb when tribulation becomes personal you're going to start sucking your thumb persecution is not personal it is trying to remove you from your God nay in all things we are more than conquerors through him that what somebody shouted through him that what to him that what not blessed us through him that what not blessed us through him that what we got a generation that's just wanting to serve a blessing God I'm gonna serve a loving God because if I serve a loving God the blessings will always come to my life who shall separate us from the love of Christ Our tribulation distress persecution famine nakedness Peril or sword as it is written for thy sake are we killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that for I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus oh my goodness I just don't know how to work I just don't know how we're containing this today just think about this today we'll say I've not been living right I've not been really serving God like I should when I get my praise up I feel like God loves me it has nothing to do with your puny hallelujah or your puny glory to God it has everything to do with he loves you he loves you when you're praying he loves you when you're not praying he loves you when you're on your game he loves you when you're not only he loves you here the love of God the love of God foreign ER I haven't spoken tongues in a while I I understand that I understand that and I want to tell you something speaking in other tongues after you've spoke initially should not be the product of frustration or speeding up your Hallelujah and hoping you get a sign you want to speak in tongues again comprehend the love of God so what's the love of God got to do with tongues let me see what Romans 5 5 says keep that in mind what does the love of God do with speaking in other tongues Romans 5 5. hope makeup not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad and our hearts by the which is given unto us when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and spoke in a Heavenly language you got more than just an outward sign of the better Covenant you receive the love of God as a matter of fact I'm telling you you're just mimicking someone if you can speak in tongues and still hate your brother yeah I'm sorry I'm just gonna say it you're just mimicking somebody if you can speak in tongues and still hold a grudge you're just mimicking something you've heard you've just got you just got you just remember what you said a few years ago you cannot do that in the Holy Ghost and keep on hating this one and hating that what the love of God and God does not dwell in you Romans 8 15 Romans 8 15. for ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father brother Carpenter I just feel like I'm a Sitting Duck I just feel like I'm a sitting duck that's how I feel what I'm going through right now I just feel like I'm a Sitting Duck let me help you out I I don't feel like I'm a Sitting Duck right now I feel like I'm a lamb of God in the hands of my savior I feel like I'm a lamb I feel like I'm one of God's children brother Purdue I'm not a Sitting Duck waiting for the world just to do whatever it was I'm in the palm of my father's hand and no man can pluck me out oh that ought to make you get up and shout that ought to make you wanna shout oh my praise him right now praise him right now just praise him right now glory to God glory to God glory to God we have received the spirit of adoption not the spirit of bondage I'm just locked in here no no no I'm not locked in here I know who I belong to and he's on the way he's inside of me and he's outside of me but he's on the way I sleep in Comfort because he's inside of me and he's on the way he said we're about carbon out I'm just a Sitting Duck I I'm just left out here on the live Seas to get cancer or get anything else if God really loved me why did this happen why did it have the cancer why did these things happen listen if God knew the very moment that sale went astray and spit off and become aggressive and turned into a cancer long before you got a lump under your arm long before the doctor said there's something wrong with you God Almighty that knows the hair of your head God Almighty that knows your how you sit down how you get up he can recognize a walk out of eight billion people a god of Heaven said I already saw it and God has planned to do Glory God is going to bring Glory that's what you got to get your mind on when you go through a trial not poor pitiful me but how can God get Glory how can God get Glory out of this I'm just looking for God to get some Glory that's what I'm looking for would you love him just one more time with me would you love him use one more time hey oh Hallelujah second Timothy chapter one verse number one verse number seven second Timothy chapter one verse number seven for God hath not given us the spirit of fear but a power and of love and of a sound mine sounds like if I got the spirit of fear brother Grizzle sound like if I got the spirit of fear I don't have any power sounds like if I got the spirit of fear I doubt whether he loves me sounds like if I got the spirit of fear I've got a mind that's not made up but oh God give me your Holy Ghost and I'll have power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you I have love and I'll have a sound mind we read this verse of scripture so many times but I hope that you'll never see it again Psalms 23 and verse number 1. the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want I wish we'd say it let's when I read it out why don't you put your name there the Lord is brother Carpenter's Shepherd brother Carpenter shall not want he maketh brother Carpenter to lie down in Green Pastures he leaded brother Carpenter beside the Still Waters he restoreth brother Carpenter's Soul he lead it brother Carpenter and pass them righteousness for his name's sake yea yea though brother Carpenter walked through the valley of the shadow of death brother Carpenter will fear no evil for thou art with brother Carpenter thy rod and thy staff they Comfort brother Carpenter thou prepare us to table before brother Carpenter in the presence of my enemies thou Anonymous brother Carpenter's head with oil brother Carpenter's cup runneth over surely goodness and mercy shall follow brother Carpenter all the days of brother Carpenter's life and brother Carpenter will dwell in the house of the Lord forever did you put your name there did you put your name there it ought to be there because that's how strong God feels about you oh let me bring this to an end let me bring this to an end today God must be fond of the rainbow God must be fond of the rainbow for God said it's my idea I will create light moisture to hit at the right level and create a rainbow in this rainbow will be for a sign that I'll never destroy the Earth again but at the core of the sign is I don't want you to fear but I do declare that God must be fond of the rainbow for God's people were in bondage and captivity they had sinned to the point that God had taken them from Jerusalem into Babylonian captivity they were mocked they were scorned but in Ezekiel the first chapter even the prophet was in Babylonian captivity the old Prophet Ezekiel begins to prophesy and he said I looked out toward the North and there came a great wind he really describes a tornado he really describes a storm and he says that's the tornado and the storm got closer he said I looked in the core in the core and he said in the core of that it looked like metal that had been melted he said as it got closer to me he said I saw chariots he said I saw I saw their writing there was there was vessels chariots that came out it's in the first chapter of Ezekiel he said they had a wheel and it's where we get that song There was a will in the middle of the wheel and he said Creatures got out of those chariots he said they had wings and there was sounds and there was noise and when you study the entire chapter you see it is God's Entourage it is God about to arrive God is just setting forth I'm on my way here comes the storm here's the here's the vessels here's the here here here's the the the creatures that had four faces on them here they come in Divine Glory but they're just God's Entourage because in Ezekiel chapter 1 verse 27 almost at the end Ezekiel says and I saw as the color of amber as the appearance of fire round about within from the appearance of his loins upward and from the appearance of his loins downward he said I saw one and said he describes from his loins down in his loins upward I saw as it were the appearance of Fire and it had brightness round about as the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain so was the appearance of the brightness round about this was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord when I saw it I fell upon my face and I Heard a Voice one that spanked can I tell you God must be fond of the rainbow because when he wanted to go down to an oppressed children an oppressed people he said I got to get that rainbow back out because I don't want them to fear I know they bachelored I know they've sinned I know they've done a lot of things they shouldn't but ah God I wanna show up and I want them to know that I am the god that wants to remove all fear I don't care how sin has knocked you down today child of God get back up he's a god well stand with me just in case just in case just in case is anybody here today with the sit down there you got the rainbow it you got the rainbow with Noah and you kind of tie them in a little bit with Ezekiel but I don't believe you can build a Doctrine on that brother Carpenter well I just choose to politely respectfully disagree with you because Revelation one two and three is all about the church he's straightening the church out he's rebuking reproving and praising the church but at the end of chapter three in this symbolic book called revelation John said I Heard a Voice as a trumpet and that voice said come up hither and said immediately I was in the throne room Rapture happen Revelation 4 and 1. after this I looked and behold the door was opened in heaven the first voice which I heard was as it were a trumpet talking with me which said come up hither and I will show thee things which
