thank you thank you amen amen if you would honor the word of God tonight and stand with me and how many believes the word of God is worthy and that we should stand at the reading of God's word amen don't you love God's word tonight I know you do I I know you do I I do I know you do if you turn to Genesis chapter number one and we're going to read verse 26 and verse number 27 of the good word of God tonight Genesis chapter 1 and verse number 26 and 27 and God said let us make man in our image after our likeness let them have dominion minion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the Earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the Earth verse 27 so God created man in his own image the image of God created he him male and female created he them let's all pray tonight and um you know the word of God is so good and it's so essential could we give an hearty Amen to this statement that I'm about to make you cannot be saved without the word of God right somebody said the word bible is an acronym for best instructions before leaving Earth all right and uh it's the book that'll change your life it's the book that it'll change your life and so having said that could we all really pray and um I'm G to place my hand on my heart because I want God to do something to me tonight during the teaching of the word of God let's all pray father Lord work on me through your word tonight God God I am so far from being what I need to be Lord that I need you to continually mold me and shake me through your word word God help me tonight to pay attention to the word help me tonight God to fix my mind upon your word and what you want to say to us tonight through your word and Lord if you will anoint me that I'll be able to deliver your word tonight I'll be so careful and and so mindful to give you the praise and the glory because it is not the word of a man it is the your word God I give you praise in Jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated tonight I want to I want to teach a Bible lesson tonight entitled created created for relationship created for relationship it's interesting these two verses tonight I'm going to choose a word from each verse verse 26 and then I'll choose one word from verse 27 in verse 26 God God said let us make man and the word I want to underline and draw to your attention is the word make could we all say that word together make and then in verse number 27 it says so God created man the one word from verse 27 that I want to emphasize is the word created created now the difference between let us make man and God creating man is really mindboggling because in verse 26 When God says let us make man he is speaking of a preexisting plan that he already had for for man was a plan that he already had before he ever before he ever created man he already had a preexisting plan for man and this is the reference of the word let us make man he is speaking of what is already in the mind of God to do and although man has not been made or created it's already preexisting in the mind of God now it fascinates my heart and mind and I hope it does yours that God the almighty God would have a plan and purpose for our lives even before we were conceived in our mother's womb God this is mindboggling that God would already have a plan and a purpose for your life he didn't ask your permission all right he didn't allow you to sign off on it he's God Father Knows Best can you say Amen he's God he's our father and he already had a pre-existing plan for our lives even before we were cons received in our mother's womb let's look at a few verses to um let's look at a few verses to to bring this out Ephesians or excuse me uh Jeremiah let me go to Jeremiah I've got my verses out of order to those that I gave my verses to I have them out of order so just go down to Jeremiah chapter 1 go to Jeremiah chapter 1 verse number four Listen to What God Says to Jeremiah Jeremiah 1 and4 then the word of the Lord came unto me saying before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee and before thou camest forth out of the womb I Sanctified thee and ordained thee a prophet unto the Nations God said about Jeremiah he's a teenager at this time in his life but God went ahead and told him before you were conceived in your w womb in your mother's womb this was the plan that I had for your life before you came out of your mother's womb in birth I had already in my pre-existing plan I had already ordained you and I had already called you to be a prophet now let's go back up that's Old Testament and so let's go to the New Testament to see if any of that would identify with us the book of Ephesians chapter number number one in verse number four he's referring to the church and I want to draw your attention to this in Ephesians 1:4 according as he ha chosen us and church the us there is us the church all right it's talking about the church as he hath chosen God hath chosen Us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and Without Blame before him in love and as a matter of fact God had already chosen the church before the foundation of the world in other words the church did not evolve Through Time what we're doing here tonight being filled with the spirit of God being a spiritual body with one purpose and one plan was not something that evolved in time before the foundations of the earth were laid God already had the pre-existing plan for the church just as he had for Jeremiah the prophet go to Second Timothy chapter number one and verse number nine here again we're going to see this preexisting plan second Timothy 1:9 who hath saved us that's that's the church and called us with a holy calling not according to our works but according to his own purpose and Grace which was here it is given us in Christ Jesus before the world began that's powerful that that's powerful let's continue on in the New Testament go to the book of Galatians chapter 1 and verse 15 and may I add here this is the Apostle Paul speaking this is writer of over half the New Testament I think if you really hold on to this point I believe it'll bless you tonight in a lot of areas so really give me your undivided attention right now Galatians 1:5 listen to Paul but when it pleased God who separated me from my mother's womb and called me by his grace to reveal his son in me that I may preach him among the Heathen immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood now Paul writes to the church and he says basically mom-in-law he says basically the same thing that God told Jeremiah before you were in the womb I knew you before you came out of your mother's womb I already called you and Sanctified you to do the work of a prophet and Paul says that this God that he preaches that he was separated unto the gospel to preach the gospel from his mother's womb he was called of God God's Master pre-existing plan for Paul was to be a preacher of the Gospel now this is interesting Paul is born with a purpose why don't you say that with me born with a purpose say it again you you know I think if we can all understand this and I'm going to I'm going to tell you tonight every human being every breathing human being in this room tonight is born with a purpose you you were born with a purpose Paul was born with a purpose now this is interesting he was separated from his mother's womb he was called to preach the gospel from his mother's womb now follow with me now now 1 Timothy 1 and verse 12 Paul is talking about his life now he goes from saying God called me from my mother's womb and now he's going to talk about being a preacher but there was some stuff in between that we need to talk about tonight I thank God look at verse 12 I thank Christ Jesus our lord who hath enabled me for that he counted me faithful putting me into the ministry when did God put him in the ministry from his mother's wom who before verse 13 WHO before who who was before a blasphemer a persecutor and injures but I obtained Mercy because I did it ignorantly and unbelief now I want you to watch this I want you to watch this from his mother's womb Brother P from his mother's womb he's born with a purpose in the pre-existing mind of God the baby that's coming out of that womb is the Apostle Paul writer of over half the New Testament coming out of that mother's womb is a preacher of the Gospel the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ an Apostolic preacher from the mother's womb go all the way over here to Paul preaching all right but you really got to look at some stuff in between because there was some stuff in between that Paul was fighting the very thing that he was going to preach he was fighting the very call of God although he didn't recognize it he didn't realize it he was fighting the very purpose that God had called him for and I want you I want you to hold on he was fighting was he not a fighter he was a fighter he was fighting he was a blasphemer injures he he he uh he he did great harm to the church as a matter of fact let's let's look let's look at the first Deacon Stephen who is being stoned Stephen has preached he's made them mad they have picked up stones to Stone him to put him to death and one of the things you would do if you were absolutely absolutely behind the stoning if you were 100% behind the stoning you would step up not not everyone was allowed to throw the stones only the elders were allowed to throw the stones but if you wanted to show that you were 100% behind the elders guess what you did you stepped up and you took their coats in other words you don't need to lay Elder you don't need to lay your coat on the dirt I will stand here with your coat in my hand and I will tell to everybody standing around I am 100% For You killing stoning stepen acts 758 acts chap 7 verse 58 and they cast him out of the city that stepen and stoned him and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet whose name was Saul now we we'll know him later as Paul but here's what I really want to I really think will help us tonight because he's already got a pre-existing plan God has already got purpose for his life God has already got his life mapped out but in between God having that plan and Paul preaching the gospel was some pretty ugly mistakes that he made some bad stuff that he did some bad stuff he held the clothes well let's go on to Acts chapter 8 verse one Acts chapter 8 verse one and sa was consenting unto his death that's stepen and at that time there was great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria except the apostles devout men carried Steven to his burial and made great lamentation over him as for Saul why don't we say those first three words as for Saul he made Havoc of the church he made Havoc of the church entering into every house and hailing men and women and committing them to prison I mean he was violent about this he was absolutely violent about it he was arresting men and women he was dragging them out of their houses and and taking them to court and seeing them fogged he was making Havoc confusion he was trying to Stamp Out you you see how you see how and I want you to see this tonight he's fighting the very purpose that God has called him to do but he was ignorant about it was ignorant about it let's go on to Acts chapter nine and verse number one once again and Saul yet breathing out threatenings and Slaughter against the Disciples of the Lord went unto the high priest look look at that verse breathing out he breathed out he cursed them he was loud about it if there had been social media in that day brother Roberts Paul would have been on it he would have been the biggest critic the biggest slanderer you know he would have been the God's breathing out threatenings and Slaughter I'll shut it down I'll stamp it out I'll kill every one of you Jesus followers I I mean he's he's wild about it once again he's fighting the very purpose that God has for his life he desired of him letters the high priest verse two to Damascus to the synagogue that if he found any of this way whether they were men or women it didn't matter to him he might bring them bound into Jerusalem and as he journeyed he came near Damascus and suddenly there shined round about him a light from Heaven he fell to the Earth and heard a voice saying unto him Saul Saul why persecutest thou me why are you fighting me why are you fighting me he said who art thou Lord his world is about to change and the Lord said I am Jesus whom thou persecutest is it hard for thee to kick against the Pricks and he trembling and astonished said Lord what will thou have me to do the Lord said unto him arise and go into the City and it shall be told thee what thou must do now follow this now follow this can you imagine this I mean he's breathing out Slaughter he's going to Stamp Out the church he's going to arrest every Jesus follower he's going to stamp this new movement out he's got letters to go as far as Damascus man a light knocks him off his animal it blinds him and he knows this light is a higher power he even says Lord and him being a Jew you know what that mean who are you Lord the next phrase changes life I am Jesus whom you persecute and then he said these words don't you find it hard to kick against Pricks a prick was a long stick with a sharp point they used it with animals to keep animals moving along if animals would stall in the middle of the street they would take that long stick the point and they would jab it in the back of it leg and it would cause pain and it would cause him to go on and he said Paul you've been thinking you've been I'm G to tell you if you could have stopped Paul before Damascus he would have been the most convincing man to you I am doing the will of God I am doing the work of God I am in the will of God to kill these Christians I am in the will of God to arrest that woman I'm in the will of God to drag that man out and take him away from his family I am in the will of God to stamp out this he would have told you he's in the will of God but at the same time God informs us that he was being Afflicted in Afflicted with great pain so here we have a man here we have a man who believes he's doing the will of God but he's also suffering with great pain with great pain on the inside of him he believes he's doing the will of God but he's suffering with pain let me tell you the reason people in my opinion have unrest and I you know the challenge of a 21st century Pastor is drama I I mean people you know sometimes and and I'm sorry but I'm sorry if you put it out there and it gets to me you put it out there okay but there are some people that are chronically going through a valley if you don't believe it look at some of their Facebook post pray for me it's dark I'm making decisions in my life and somebody bring it to pastor and I I you know I I don't I don't I don't know what's going on with their life I and I try to go up to them say hey you all right sis yeah I'm fine well not according to your Facebook you're not put them feet out there tonight now not according to your Facebook post according to your Facebook post you're confused you don't know which way's up it's dark you're friendless and then I don't know if you're addicted to the comments you know oh we're with you we're with you but can you come on and get delivered from drama are you going to spend your in are you going to spend your inti life in drama will I go to church will I do this at church I'm heavily involved you can do you can be thinking you're doing the will of God and be filled with pain on the inside and what you're really feeling is God pricking you saying you need to get busy in my job my pre-existing plan for you was not to Babys set you through the drama and for you to get all the attention it's not about you it's it's about a world that you need it's about being a husband to your wife and a wife to your husband and mother and father to your children and have and so I'm convinced there's people way over here that you I know every La every last one of you in this room tonight every last one of you in this room tonight have pre-existing purpose from God but some of you call caught up in drama you got fighting on the inside you got drama you got unrest on the inside and you're thinking I'm doing the will of God and God just kind of shook Paul and said how many times have I been pricking you I believe sister Franklin when Paul stood there with those coats in his hands and Steven be to pray and stepen said father lay not this sin to their charge and fell asleep I believe it rocked his world most men die of a stoning putting their hands up over their FA most men die trying to dodge rocks stepen died calling on God saying Lord Jesus receive my spirit can I tell you something when you have found the will of God sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never harm you because you are born with a don't you want to find out what that purpose is don't you want to find out the reason people have unrest drama coupled with the misery of life is because they're fighting their own purpose they don't realize it they are going in the direction that God that they are not going in the direction that God has for them and although and see we're in the 21st century so we can go to church and get a little we can get our conscience saved that well I was at church tonight well well I I I I'm gonna bring some of them gift cards by and I help I help I help stuff those baskets and I I I I I do this in the church and I do that that's all well and good but if your life is car characterized by drama and unrest that's not good because God never called us to a life of internal fighting within ourselves we were created to have a relationship with God that is joy unspeakable and full don't you want to drink from that wh don't you want to drink from that wh at that joy unspeakable well let's listen to what James says James chapter 4 verse number one James 4 and one James says from whence or where come War Wars and fightings among you and I'm I'm going to tell you tonight you don't need to be as nearly concerned about the war in Israel as the war you have on yourself he said where come these wars and fightings among you now he's going to tell you where they come from come they not hence even of your own own lust that war in your members you lust and you have not you you kill and desire to have and cannot obtain you fight and War you you have not because you ask not you ask and receive not because you ask a m that you may consume it upon your your lust and this is really try telling people that they believe in prayer they really believe that prayer is given to them to help them overcome all their drama in their life not so prayer is to help us evangelize a lost world you listen it's not prayer that you need to get over your drama it's grow up it's grow up it's understand it's understanding that life is not all about you it's about finding my purpose in him he said you you you you you ask but you have not verse three again you ask and receive not you ask because you ask a Miss in other word you you're you're you're you're you're you're praying about something that's not God's will that you may consume it upon your lust ye and this is what he calls you ye adulterers and adulteresses know you not that the Friendship of the world is enmity with God whosoever therefore will be a friend of of the world is an enemy of God now he calls you when we get our spirit see I've already got that pre-existing plan of God but I've got some junk going on right here in the middle right Paul had that pre-existing plan of God but he had some junk going on he thought he was doing the will of God but he had this ugly junk going on and sometimes we get caught right here we get we get caught right here and and we we've got we've got this this this Wars and fighting and then and then we got this drama going on we got this drama where where we got a little bit of church little bit of prayer but a whole lot of drama we got all mixed together got all mixed together little bit of church little bit of prayer little bit of worship some of you a little bit of worship some of you know worship and you know okay okay no worship Church big romen you mix it all together do you know the word adultery the word adultery means to mix things that shouldn't be mixed together all right a married man should only be with his wife a married woman should only be with her husband if you mix with another woman or another man or another another person you are an adulterer now James isn't calling these people sexual adulterers here he's calling them drama adulterers because here you've got the call of God you got a little bit of the word a little bit of preaching you got the you got the exposure of the spirit of God but you're mixing it all up with drama he says adulterers adulteresses men or women and he said it's it's it's all you've got it all mix up God deliver all of us from being sidetracked and distracted by drama God help us all to find that purpose that God before we came out of our mother's womb that God already said I've got a purpose for you Roger clayber I've got a purpose for you brother mcfaden I've got a purpose for you I've got a purpose for you brother a brother Amber I've got a purpose I've got a purpose for you brother Ben I've got a purpose for your life don't you church family tonight don't you want to live that purpose isn't life too short to live it in drama to live it in setback you see Paul was doing what he thought was the will of God while suffering from God jabbing him with the point of the prick well let's turn to Numbers Chapter 33 and verse 50 can you say Amen tonight I wonder if you'd say I'm glad pastor's back now numbers 3350 listen to the Lord and the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho saying Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them when you pass over Jordan into the land of Canaan then you shall drive out all all everybody say all all the inhabitants how many how many of the inhabitants are we to drive out all of the inhabitants of the land before you and destroy their pictures wow it's going to get radical here drive all of them out destroy their pictures and destroy all their molten images and quiet pluck down all their high places and ye shall is possess the inhabitants of the land and dwell therein for I have given you the land to possess it you shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families and to the more you shall give the more inheritance and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance Every Man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot fth according to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit it but if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you then it shall come to pass that those which you let remain of them shall be Pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides and shall Vex you in the land wherein you dwell moreover it shall come to pass that I shall do unto you as I thought to do unto them hold on buckle up you see the red sea being divided separated me from Egypt separated me from my bondage in Egypt but the Jordan River that I had to cross by the same Miracle hand Separates Me from my Wilderness Journey what was happening in the wilderness murmuring complaining would the God we stayed in Egypt oh Moses I mean Moses he he thank God they didn't elect Moses because there would have been times he would been voted out of office I I mean one day Moses when the waters coming out of the rock Moses is the greatest thing since slice bread I mean when when honey and water's falling and and Bread's falling he's the greatest thing but let them go to a trial would to God we have died in Egypt what's wrong with you Moses bringing us out here is it was it there no graves in Egypt and so when they crossed over Jordan when the they cross to the Red Sea that shut Egypt out now I thank God thank God you don't smoke anymore you you you you you're not doing drugs anymore you you you you come out of Egypt in the Red Sea and you got testimonies behind you and I thank God for that but yet murmuring and complaining and drama and drama and drama and your life's full of drama that's the Wilderness you're not in the promised land you're not you're you're not you're you're not settled in your land you got to go across that next Jordan oh thank God because I'm gonna find my purpose and my purpose isn't being in a washing machine spirituality you know what a washing machine is Soak rinse spin you know it goes through a cycle and sometimes if we we we don't get drama and stuff like that out of our life we go through this cycle where on the mountain we go to camp meeting we go to youth camp well we're shouting the victory but just as sure as we don't get enough hours on our job and we have to start depending upon God for stuff we start saying well I you know tithing don't work for me and church don't work for me and all of this and you're just in a circle and God says I want to deliver you from that because I want to bring you into the promised land I want to give you your own land I want to give you an inheritance I want to give you your own land and then he said once I give you Canan he Saidi want you to drive these hindrances out of Canaan he said he said dispossess them in other words drive them out don't let them stay around folks if there's if there's um fleshly uh habits in our life of anger jealousy bitterness you better get that out of your Canaan land you you you better get that after you you Something's Happened to you something happened to you and you got bitterness you you need to pray and you need to chase that out of your Promised Land be because if if you don't chase it out matter of fact M matter of fact did did did that not kind of strike you plain he said don't only drive them out he said if they got pictures drawings of them tear them up if they've got molten images get rid get rid of every reminder and I I would just say to you tonight keep working on when your brain wants to go back and your thought process wants to go back to your hurt keep working stop it it's a road it's a it's a road you you you realize this that thoughts thoughts in your mind are is is like you got a luscious green front yard of grass but somebody takes a wheel barrel full of bricks and they don't go on the sidewalk to go to your backyard they go right through the yard right now if that wheelbarrow keeps going through that yard Time After Time what's it going to wear through the yard a path now you know that if you've ever pushed a wheel barrel across a yard it has a lot of resistance but if you can find a path it's easier for it to flow on a path than it is the yard so now what you have to do you keep having these thoughts that keep taking you back to your offense and you keep boiling you keep adding fire to your offense does it matter you come to church does it matter you shout and let me tell you this tonight don't anybody leave right now it doesn't even matter if you come to church and talk in tongues if you cannot control your thought life it doesn't matter how high you jump here it doesn't matter how many tongues you speak here doesn't matter how much you're in the prayer room we don't live here in this building we live out there in a world so those thoughts wear a path in your mind and it's just easy to go there it's just easy to push it but when you begin to say no I'm not going to let that go across my mind no I'm not the Bible says bringing into captivity the Bible says bringing into captivity every thought to The Obedience of Christ what what does that mean brother Mayo that means you need to take every thought before the presence of God and let the presence of God approve of this thought or not you need to take everything thought you need casting down casting down imaginations you see thoughts become images thoughts become images and images become reality so what you have to do is you have to you have to I'm getting this drama I got to get this drama out of my life I got to get past this because God has got this unbelievable calling for my life I have purpose in my life God separated me from my mother's womb now there's some ugly stuff happening right here but but but isn't the isn't the Apostle Paul a prime example that although you've got some ugly stuff in the middle God can eventually work it all out for good but you have to say no that's not mixing with my mind my mind great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them great peace have they whose minds are are stayed on thee no no no don't don't don't bring that wheelbarrow across my mind because I'm going to grow some resistance up here and all of a sudden all of a sudden when that thought pops up you begin to say no not going there today not coming across my mind today not messing up my mind today I was made for better for this my mind was made for joy peace my mind was made for wholeness my mind was not made for fighting my mind was made for wholeness not going there today but now he says he says you you you throw their pictures out you throw their molten images out you dispossess them but then he knew the nature of man he says but if you don't drive them all out if you don't drive them all out come on don't be happy with your life until you have driven everything out that is unlike Jesus Christ will you say Bill Car how long would that take until he comes don't be content don't be content don't blame your temper on your nationality don't don't blame your temper on on the color of your don't don't don't don't go there because you're making excuses for it put it where it ought to be on the Flesh and you start controlling the flesh so he says now if you decide look at verse 55 he says you decide not to drive them out he said I'm going to tell you what they're going to become they're going to become now now notice this brother Sullivan verse 55 they shall become Pricks in your eyes now that's odd because a farmer never takes that prick to the eye of the animal he always takes that prick to the back of the leg but why does God say the enemy shall be Pricks in your eyes because because if we allow drama to be the characteristic of our life we never are able to see what God has got planned for us if we allow drama to be in our life we never see that God would want us to be whole because we were created for relationship that we were created to be whole within oursel that we were created and that our marriages were created to be happy and holy our our marriages were created for that and our children our homes are not war zones our homes are not places that we dread to go home to but there are places that we try to rush home to get with our mate to get with our children because God has given us that Vision that's the truth that's the truth and I I I know she's not here tonight I know she's not here tonight but I I'd say it whether she was here or not and I'm going to tell you something I don't stay gone from Sister Carpenter La even when I'm gone from her I don't like it I don't like it most of the time if I go somewhere without her and I'm within decent and I pulled a good one over on her hope she's not watching but she caught me though I was preaching up in Madisonville Kentucky and and she said now don't you drive Kenny don't you try to drive home tonight don't don't you try to don't you try to drive home I never answered her I never I never answered her never answered her at all want to be accountable before God don't you ever I didn't say no I won't drive home I never answered I just got her on a different subject hey how's the baby doing hey hey hey how's the uh how's the church doing how you and so about 2 o'clock in the morning she called she said are you driving I said ' aren't you asleep yet she said ' are you driving I said yeah she said I am so mad at you I said here I am trying to get home to see you and you're mad at me what a way to treat a man like me what a what a go ahead clap that make me feel good that what a way to treat a man have we had to work through some issues in our Liv sure we did just like you did when you first got married all right just like you did just like everybody does but you know what you do you work through it and you don't accept it and you don't let little things stay and fester under the surface you communicate you talk to one another and God develops a beautiful marriage for your life to where man I I want to get home I I want I want to get home I want to be I want to be with my family don't don't all of us want that right all of us want that he said there'll be Pricks in your eyes there'll be Pricks in your eyes you'll never see what God I'm going tell you something if you don't be delivered from this if you don't believe delivered from this you'll never see what God had planned for you way over here you you'll never you you'll never see you you and I I won't call it I won't I won't call any names because I just I just won't tonight but I have seen single parents in this church I've seen single mothers in this church bring their babies to God bring their babies to the church bring their children to church didn't get any support from home matter of fact maybe have got things from home that was was was was trying their best to keep them from the church but when we kept telling that mother God's got a plan for that child God's got a plan for that child God's got a plan for that child oh how those single mothers and single parents must feel tonight to see those small babies who have grown up to be teenagers and even marriage and see them bringing their children I'm going to tell you you would have never seen that had you not got the drama out of your life and just realized we're in a war to live for God if I'm going to get to that place that God called me to I got to forget about all this and when God lays me flat of my back here's the spirit that I'm going to have Lord what would you have me to do I'm going to submit to his will he said there'll be thorns in Pricks in your eyes and thorns in your side and I don't know that's bad enough that's bad enough but look at verse 56 with me if that's not you don't drive them out they're going to be Pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides they're going to Vex the land that's not bad enough look at verse 56 moreover it shall come to pass that I God it's God speaking that I shall do unto you as I thought to do unto them in other words God says
