if you're not already standing stand with me tonight in honor in honor of the reading of god's word mar john excuse me john chapter 20. we're actually going to read from two passages john chapter 20 verse number 24 and then we're going to read from hebrews chapter 11 and verse number 6. john chapter 20 and verse number 24. if you found that place in the bible or you see it on the screen or you're going to see it on the screen say amen but thomas one of the twelve called didymus was not with them when jesus came the other disciples therefore said unto him we have seen the lord but he said unto them except i shall see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails and thrust my hand into his side i will not believe and after eight days again his disciples were within and thomas with them then came jesus the doors being shut and stood in the midst and said peace be unto you then sayeth he to thomas reach hither thy finger and behold my hands reach hither thy hand and thrust it into my side and be not faithless but believing thomas answered and said unto him my lord and my god jesus saith unto him thomas because thou has seen me thou has believed blessed are they and we'll stop right here i want us all to say these words that's me blessed are they said again blessed are they that's me that have not seen yet have believed hebrews 11 and 6. hebrews 11 6. hebrews 11 and 6. but without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to god must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him just for a few moments tonight i feel very compelled in the lord to minister to the church on the simple word the simple word faith faith father i thank you tonight lord for this bible lesson lord i thank you tonight god that you have dealt with my soul today on the subject god that we would discuss and that we would read from tonight lord someone is here that needs a turnaround in their life lord someone is here that needs a new perspective god about the things that's in their life they're haunted they're tormented they've given up but god i pray that tonight would start lord a series of motivation actions within them that lord that they would begin to believe again they would begin to trust again and they would begin to receive again lord touch me for the next few moments in jesus name we pray amen and amen give him a hand to praise before you're seated please faith faith seems like we are always asking questions about how important a subject is and we're asking things that you know is it essential we hear those words a lot is is this essential well we understand when it comes to faith when it comes to faith that the bible simply says that without faith without faith it is impossible it is impossible to please him and the reason reason that that impossibility is there is because faith gives us the right perception of our father faith gives us the upright understanding of the god that we serve and the god that we worship and the god that loves the god that that loves us do we all realize tonight that within each of us is no good thing and what makes us so special tonight is not within any of us but what makes us so special tonight is that you and i are the object of the love of god god loves us god loves us and so he said without faith you can't please god and then he tells you why because he that cometh to god must first believe that he is but don't stop there and that he is a rewarder you see every child of god ought to walk with the expectation and look over their shoulder because something good is about to happen to them every child of god in a healthy relationship with god doesn't see the glass half empty they always see it half filled every child of god lives every day of their life knowing that god is a rewarder he is a reward does it matter what's happened in the past god is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him i found myself today in the book of john chapter 20. let's go back to the text john chapter 20 verse number 24. let's discuss the text for a moment jesus has been brutally crucified he has been brutally crucified right before their very eyes right before their very eyes he has been whipped he has been beaten he has been nailed to a cross he has been crucified right before their very right before their very eyes right before their very eyes they watch as they take his lifeless body his lifeless body down from the cross right before their very eyes they watch as they wrap him and they take him to a tomb now we understand and we want to zero in on one of the disciples one of the apostles by the name of thomas all right would i be safe to say and a good amen would be appreciated but would i be safe to say that thomas on that day lost all faith in jesus christ he lost all faith as far as him being messiah would i be safe to say brother stumbo would i be safe to say that the key word in thomas's mind or the key words was it's over you think things like this came to his mind it was good while it lasted right it's over it was good always lasted man we had we had hoped you know we had hoped that this would have been the one and good while it lasted but it's simply over so when thomas left thomas not only left the cross he left the fellowship of the other disciples he left he left congregating with them because after all what brought us all together was that we had nothing in common some were fishermen some were tax collectors we had nothing in common but jesus that's all we had in common and now we don't have him in common anymore so thomas just kind of fades away he fades away while the resurrection happened he fades away while mary magdalene on the early that third morning comes running back in he's alive he's alive he fades away he fades away when mary magdalene says to peter he wants to appear on a mountain to us he wants all the disciples to go back and you know all the disciples went back but one thomas thomas thomas wasn't there when jesus showed himself to the disciples that he was alive that he had overcome death and that he was alive thomas wasn't there he wasn't there and so now we go back to verse 24 of john 20. i think this will better help you to kind of see where we're talking about it says in john 24 but thomas one of the 12 called didymus that means he was a twin was not with them when jesus came it's obvious why he's not with them it's over it was good while it lasted the other disciples therefore said unto him listen to the other disciples we have seen the lord man what must that have sounded like to thomas thomas we have seen the lord but he said unto them except i shall see notice this except i shall see in his hands the print of the nails and put my finger into the print of the nails and thrust my hand into his side i will not believe in other words the only way i'm going to believe is to see a reverse of what i saw that caused me not to believe i've got to see this reversed i had no trouble following jesus when he was alive i had no trouble obeying him and following him when he was alive but when i saw with these eyes him being crucified when i saw with his eyes it will take the same thing as a matter of fact i will i will not only have to see him but i will have to reach out and touch him i will have to i saw that day when that roman soldier took that spearhead and made a gaping hole up under his rim i saw that except i could just ram my hand into that side i will not believe i've got to see it i've got to see this reversed you know when i studied this i thought a lot of times that's where faith challenges come in we see a lot of things sometimes on a daily basis that can rob us of our faith we see a lot of things with these natural eyes that can absolutely rob us you know we have faith to believe that our loved ones are going to come to church we have faith to believe that our children are going to come to church we have faith to believe that things are going to change in our lives but how many has been on that roller coaster of believing in your spiritual mind but what you saw with your eyes caused you to doubt if that would ever ever take place well thomas just simply says i am telling all of you right now that unless i could see this i will not believe here's something interesting here about faith something interesting look at verse 26 and after eight days again his disciples were within and thomas with them that's interesting he may not believe but he's hanging around he may not believe but he's hanging around can i tell you something don't ever let the tempter tell you that because you're in a spiritual slump it's not doing you any good to come to church if you just hang around long enough i believe jesus is going to show up in your life you just hang around long don't don't give up because what he wants to tell you what the tempter wants to tell you is doesn't do you any good to come i mean here's a man that evidently has just simply said i will not believe unless i can see but he hung around he just he just hung around after eight days the door was being shut jesus come and stood in the midst of them and said peace be unto you then saith he to thomas richie come on thomas put your finger in my hand come on thomas put your hand up here in my side come on thomas come on believe me reach out and touch me thomas not only did thomas believe but isn't it beautiful what he said in verse 28 my lord and my god i mean not only did he believe but he also had that revelation that he wasn't just an ordinary man see an ordinary man can be crucified an ordinary man will die an ordinary man will stay in the tomb but jesus was an ordinary man so when he said that he said oh my lord and and my god but now listen to what jesus said because it has to do with all of us tonight listen to it jesus said unto him thomas because you have seen me thou has believed you have seen me you have had the reverse of what you saw with these you've had the reverse and that's caused you to believe but blessed are they that have not seen and that's us blessed means fortunate well-off highly favored blessed highly favored well-off is the first apostolic church wednesday night bible study group that did not see with these right here him crucified and risen again we did not see with these right here the reverse but here we are tonight and you know why we believe we believe because a message i'm here tonight because a message that i believe in a message that was preached and that message started 2000 years ago on the day of pentecost and i believe it i believe it i believe it i stake my life upon it i live my life upon it that jesus christ rose from the dead on the third day and he's alive he's alive as alive come on give him some praise he is alive i believe i have faith you have faith tonight he is alive turn with me over to the book of romans chapter number 10 of the book of romans paul writes and he says in chapter 10 i want to begin reading at verse number 13. you see if faith is so important in the message of faith then how can i get faith you can't you you you don't see something to get faith you hear me you don't see something that causes you to get faith you hear something so stop waiting to see something to get faith and start hearing something that can cost you you know the story when they crossed the red sea brother poole and miriam got out the tambourine and they all started dancing and they all started praising god the red sea had split and they got over there and the the egyptians were dead and the bible said they saw the egyptians dead on the seashore and they broke out in praise can i just tell you not being disrespectful to our good old testament saints we'll meet them in heaven some may be eavesdropping tonight but what we do who can't shout after you see the enemy dead who can't believe after you see them drown who who can't do that that doesn't take very much but can i tell you god had some better things in store for the new testament church i've never seen it but i sure have heard victory i've never there's certain things i haven't seen yet but i sure have heard them with the ear of faith because what makes us more blessed is we believe the message we believe the message go ahead and give him a hand to praise we believe the message romans romans 10 and verse number 13. listen to paul for whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed it's a series of questions let's talk about it look at this look at look at this statement in verse 13 whosoever calls on the name of the lord not might not maybe but whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall somebody shall shall come on shout it shall whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved here's the questions how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed that's good that's right how are you going to call on someone that you don't believe in right how are you going to call on someone that you you don't believe in and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard look at this series of questions he says how could you call on someone that you don't believe in and how can you believe in if you've never heard and how shall they hear without a preacher so he's going to tell us how we get faith someone proclaims the word that you hear the word you believe the word and you call out upon the lord isn't that simple really tells us how busy we need to get telling folks got to hear the word believe the word call out on the lord how many believes god cares about you tonight you believe god cares about you tonight i do verse 15 and how shall they preach except they be sent as it is written and and how shall they preach except they be sin it's one of the many reasons i am an apostolic preacher because i'm going to tell you this is a very simple thing to believe but the only proof positive that we know of the men that god sent the only proof positive is that the bible says in the book of john chapter 17 i send these apostles into the world that's the only proof positive that's the only proof positive that we have some people choose a preacher by emotions they choose a peop a preacher because of personality traits those are all sorry reasons to choose a preacher you ought to choose a preacher because you know he's been sent from god and the only way that we know to tether us back to jesus is he preaching what the apostles preach how shall they preach except they be sent as it is written how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring good tidings or good news of good things but they have not all obeyed the gospel for isaiah said who hath believed our report so you see even though you hear you are the gateway to your to your heart just because you hear the word doesn't mean you believe the word because you have the option of whether you're going to buy in or not you have the option to whether you write it off as thomas it's not in the bible but you you can't kind of think thomas sister cano you think thomas kind of went off and said you know those other yeah who's can believe that if they want to you know but i just don't put much stock in those 11 guys you know i just don't you know i just don't don't do that you see just because you hear it you get to choose whether you believe it or not i just don't know if i'm going to buy into it i'm doing pretty good right now and you may be doing pretty good as far as the world standards but there is a judgment day coming that's really the day you need to be knowing that you're doing good so he said they have have they verse 18 again but i say have they not heard yes verily their sound went into all the earth and their words are to the end of the world but i say did not israel know first moses saith i will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people and by a foolish nation will i anger you and so he's simply just saying the word went forth but they decided some decided to believe it some decided not to believe it boy it'd be my good pleasure tonight to know that everybody in this house would believe god's word everybody would believe god's word please believe god's word trust in god's word even when you have a spiritual slump hang around eight days just hang around you things turn upside down in your life just don't don't let go they tell me that sail boats sailboats are designed that if a sailboat capsizes and turns completely over they tell the men hold on to the sailboat because it's designed to flip itself back upright can i tell you hold on to god it may turn over sometimes but just hang around eight days it'll flip back over it'll it just flip back over and you'll you'll find you'll find yourself back up could you give him some praise right now turn with me to the book of galatians the book of galatians chapter number three you know when you begin to date books in the bible the book of galatians was one of the first ones to be written and the reason being galatians chapter 3 and verse 1 is where i want to go to the reason that galatians was one of the first epistles to go out to the church mother thorpe was because the church in galatia was in trouble was in trouble because there were those that came back to the church at galatia and begin to tell them that that that that you have forsaken the law and you need to go back and get the law you need to go back and pick up the law again you've forsaken the law and you need to go back and pick up the law again that's that's the only way you're going to you're going to make it and the danger was some of them bought into it some of them bought into it you know we may not have the law that we're tempted to go back and pick up but you will come through some things in life that the enemy will say you know some of the things that you stopped doing y'all go pick that back up again some of the places some of the friends you ought to go go pick that back up again so paul is writing to the galatians galatians chapter 3 verse 1 he says oh foolish oh foolish galatians who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes jesus christ hath been evidently set forth and crucified among you he said who bewitched you who bewitched you that means to put a spell or an influence on you means to be brought under the bewitched means to be brought under the influence of demonic behavior means to be bewitched you're under the wrong influence do you understand the value of preaching do you understand that the value of preaching keeps you in your right mind that the value of the word of god keeps faith pumping to your mind it keeps faith pumping there and faith just keeps saying i don't care what i see out on the horizon things have turned upside down i still believe god is in control i still believe that god has this in the palm of his hand hey gas gasoline can go to ten dollars a gallon god's still in control a pound of bologna can go to twenty dollars a pound god is still in control there can be all kinds there can be all kinds as a matter of fact i just didn't have it but our district superintendent from west virginia sent it to me i have it on my phone but i i just uh we had some heavy traffic getting here but but he has got a flyer an advertisement from uh from uh um the gay community the gay and lesbian community and uh they're they're throwing a special dance they're throwing a special dance and they're inviting all the youth of the community to come to this special dance that they're going to have and down below it simply says please take note parents slash guardians are not allowed you can bring the children but you can't stay here yeah you know that's happening right but i don't care let let let the world roar let things fall apart and we're watching it and it's prophesied that it would but our faith isn't out there our faith is in here if we get more news than we get good news we'll be of all being most miserable that's kenny chapter one verse two we'll be of all men most miserable right that's why faith pumps it to your brain i believe it's going to turn out all right i'm one of god's children he said i will never leave you nor forsake you not even to the end of the world amen i bless you going out i bless you coming in i'll open up the windows i'll be the friend that sticks come on now i'll be the shrimp that sticks closer than a brother i believe god deserves come on call out upon his name right now call out upon his wonderful name oh foolish galatians who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the word of truth before whose eyes jesus christ hath been evidently set forth and crucified listen to verse 2. this only would i learn of you i want to learn something please teach me something paul says paul says set me down and give me a lesson oh galatians receive ye the spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith what did you receive the holy ghost by and the holy ghost is the most wonderful gift god ever give to anybody oh the baptism of the holy ghost isn't it wonderful isn't it great to have the presence of god dwelling within you isn't it wonderful to have god's presence dwelling within you greater is he that that is within you than he that is within the world paul just simply says you all are boasting about the holy ghost i want to ask you a question did you get the holy ghost when you were obeying the law or did you get the holy ghost by the hearing of faith did you get the holy ghost when you were circumcising when you were bringing animals when you were bringing a pound of meal and a pound of oil and all of these gifts to a dead oil did you get the holy ghost then and i can hear the glaciers saying no how did you get the holy ghost the hearing look at the end of verse two the hearing of faith that's how we got the holy ghost verse three are ye so foolish are you so foolish having begun in the spirit are ye now made perfect by the flesh have ye suffered so many things in vain if it be yet in vain he therefore that ministereth unto you the spirit worketh miracles among you doeth he it by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith how many in this room i mean this room has been healed in your body and you know it was god that healed you i mean you know it was god mother-in-law i affectionately call her mamaw but she's my mother-in-law remember when you broke your arm remember that and how that bone just without any aid of a dog without any aid that bone grew back together god did it god did it can i see the hands again of people that have been healed can i see the hands of people that have been here lord have mercy all over this building people hands that have been lifted i've been healed that you know that you know that you know it was god did we receive that because we did a bunch of works or did we receive that because somebody preached to us that by his stripes we are healed by his stripes we were healed now this may be a little silly to you it's not to me but it's maybe silly to you i thought famous last words i thought that the warranty on my car was 75 000 miles so it started having a little rattling in the motor when you start it up motor kind of rattles for a little bit and my good faithful help mate reminder continually said you got to get this to the shop oh after this camp after this meeting after the rattle rattle route and so finally i said you know 75 000 miles on a car and it's 73 000 now i better call so i called to get an appointment at the dealership and i told the lady who i was she looked us up on the computer she said oh i'm so sorry mr carpenter but said your warranty was only for 70 thousand miles i said no no no it's 75 000. i i'm sure that's what that she said no sir it's it's it's 70 000 miles i said well the motor's rattling and the motor's rattling all right right when you start it up runs good in the other time but right when you start and then not only did i had to hang up the phone had to explain to my better half i don't know which is worse the mode of rattling or have to tell her that well let's just let's just keep driving it let's just keep driving it let's just keep keep driving it can't just rattle for a little bit when it starts let's just keep driving it folks other than god bro solomon other than god i can't tell you why but i woke up monday morning this past monday morning just woke up and um i just decided i was going to clean out my nightstand his and her nightstands and sister carter does not stand it's got files in it it's all labeled what goes what my nightstand they may be osama bin laden down there i mean it's just a it's hodgepodge it's just you wouldn't you know you wouldn't jam your hand down in there you know so i don't i cannot tell you why i got up monday morning and i just decided pulled out the drawer got out a garbage can and i started just chunking things away ink pens i listen i had ink pens from every church in pentecost i mean i had i i had ink pens from foreign missions i had to say all kind of gifts rocks and and i'm just you know now the little sten boy gave me a rock i never thought away all right now i said rock i think i heard him perk up he gave me one one christmas time he come to me and he he had a rock and he said he said i don't have money to get you a gift certificate he said i want to give you my favorite rock and that little rock means more to me i i still got that rock i was just cleaning things out and got the bottom of it and i looked down and i saw a paper there and it was an envelope and i opened it up and it was from the lincoln dealership and it said we have a recall and said does your motor when you first start and i'm thinking but it's out of warranty and i kept reading it said even though you may be out of warranty if you will bring this car in by july 31st of 2022 said it would be fixed free of charge i just i don't know that's silly to you but you know what i believe it was with all you can't convince me any other i believe that god looks out for his own he knew that letter was in that drawer he knew that he just kind of had to give me an unusual mood to clean out a a a a nightstand and i would do it you know who i pray you know that's just chance i don't i don't certainly got a chance i serve the god that knows every hair of my head i serve the god that knows everything about me and if he knows everything about me knows my car needs to be fixed and he knew i had a letter right beside my bed and to him i give anybody else got a story like that that you would just like to give jesus praise tonight you just like to give him praise and honor right now you may not be able to tell it like i do over the pulpit but would you just like to stand right now and say lord i remember back when when you opened that door i remember back then when the hospital called and said we're just going to erase that bill i remember back then when they said that back a year ago we didn't pay you enough on your job and we're going to give you just a little extra i remember i remember i remember i remember i remember somebody say i remember i remember you may be seated i'm hung up on this for a moment i'm i'm hung up on this hang around hang around it may be a season you're in hang around seasons change i don't know i don't know i can't answer for you but i'm telling you it is too blazing hot for me right it's too hot for me but guess what i'm not putting up a sign and moving to canada you know why i'm just gonna hang around because fall's coming and that's my best time of the year right are you in the grubs hang around just don't give up thomas i don't know what may just do it but something made him something made him hang around eight days eight days because he hung around yeah but i heard that i was going to get this yeah you can hear the word of faith well i know that sunday i got really i got really built up that it was going to happen and monday came and tuesday came and wednesday came and it didn't happen and hang around come on just hang around matter of fact let me before i let you go home let me share with you first kings go to the old testament first kings chapter 18. verse number i believe it's 41. first kings chapter 18. man we had that revival first kings 18 41. we had that revival of brother mark brown and oh brother carpenter how i i just was believing that brother carpenter has been a few months since that revival and nothing's happened listen to you pastor i know it's not greek or hebrew hang around just hang around would you hang around when your ship comes in don't be at the train station hang around don't give up but i heard you know so did first kings 18 in 41 three and a half years of drought 41 and elijah said in ahab get thee up eat and drink for there is a what is that word there there is a there's what there is a sound of abundance of rain he heard it didn't he that's where faith goes off in your mind you hear the word and faith goes off he said i hear the sound of abundance of rain good people it's not over when you hear the word of faith you got to hang around you got to hang around you need patience to hang around now watch it now watch it so ahab went up to eat and to drink verse 42 and elijah went up to the top of carmel and cast himself down upon the earth put his face between his knees and said to his servant go up now and look toward the sea and he went up and looked and said there is nothing and he said go again seven times now look at this now why does he tell the servant to go look out over the sea because that's where the storms came in from because i've heard the sound of the abundance of rain why do you get down on your knees put your face between your knees because that is the posture of prayer that is the posture of prayer why do you send the servant boy to look out over the sea that's the direction that the blessings or that the rain comes from now follow this now just because we had a powerful revival doesn't mean you don't need to pray just because we had a powerful move of god doesn't mean that you you've pushed your order at sonic you've drove up to sonic you've pushed your order and you're gonna wait for god to bring it to you know after you hear it then you go into prayer and after you go into prayer you start looking toward the direction of the blessings where it comes from people it comes in the house of god it comes from your bible it comes from fellowship it comes from getting up around the altar would you just hang around he said would you go up and see if there's any rain coming see if there's any clouds coming he goes up once and i hear his feet i hear the man i look you see the man of god looking up in anticipation in anticipation yeah yeah yeah there is nothing go up again and if you count the number of times he went up eight times seven is the number of completion eight is the number of beginning all back over again what you have completed you complete in seven if the answer doesn't come in seven you go back and go back in to the circuit of doing it again and on the eighth time the number of beginning over again on the eighth time he comes back and he says i see a cloud the size of a man's hand now count with me right now do you all understand you all understand this in getting anything from god you have to put up with seven nothings to get one something you put up with seven nothings i'm not gonna tell you every time you come to bible study you're gonna have a due dad run across your arm i'm not gonna tell you that every time you come to church and praise god something super duper fantastic is going to take place of your life sometimes we come and it's simply we've done what we've called to do but there is nothing apparently that changes in our lives let's just get real with each other all right there's nothing that apparently changes but i believe that thomas if you'll just hang around i know you're dogmatic and i will not believe but if you'll just hang around on that eighth day or it was the eighth day with thomas on that eighth day the door is gonna open and jesus is gonna walk through and he's gonna say go ahead thomas can i tell you tonight don't give up on your prayer he knows you're lonely he knows what your needs are he knows what you have need of before you ask just keep on hanging around just stay in the position of prayer praise and doing what god tells you to do would you just lift your hands with me right now and give him praise come on just if you have enough faith to praise him do you have enough faith to praise him right now just just enough faith to praise him come on enough faith to praise him do you have enough faith to lift your voice up right now do you do you have enough faith to wave your arms to the lord do you have do you have enough faith right now do you have enough faith brother troy after the praise team would it would it be would it be possible right now would it would it be possible for you to come back up and just lead us in that little course that you did god is god is up to something turn with me to deuteronomy chapter 32 deuteronomy chapter 32. deuteronomy 32 and verse 20. the law of the law first mentioned the first time that faith is mentioned in scripture the first time faith is mentioned in scripture is mentioned in deuteronomy 32 and verse 20. god says i will hide my face from them i will see what their ends shall be for they are a very forward generation children in whom is repeat the last two words is it amazing that the first time we find the word faith mentioned in the bible the lord is saying of course israel is backslidden they are worshiping under idols they're worshiping they're doing all kinds of grotesque sin they're going and building idols they're just grotesque in their sin their behavior is all wrong if you'd read the entire chapter deuteronomy 32 god is rebuking behavior behavior behavior behavior behavior it's wicked behavior it's wicked behavior he's rebuking it and then at the end of verse 20 he gives the whole reason he gives the whole reason for their wicked behavior the whole reason they're acting the way they're acting he said they are simply children that have no faith they don't have any faith that's why they're acting can i tell you tonight you know why this world's crazy right now you know why we you know why there's seven dead people in america at least there's more than that that went to a parade a parade for god's sake and little did they know a mom and dad holding the hand of their two-year-old child both mom and dad would be gunned down and killed and that little two-year-old child will be found wandering around the street trying to find its mom and dad you know why it is this world has no faith because they have no faith their behavior is evil and their behavior is wicked but then here comes habeka and habeka gives us a scripture as a matter of fact that catholic monk martin luther that catholic monk got a hold of a scripture that simply said the just shall live by faith the just shall thrive on faith the just shall live can i tell you that faith is to you and i what a vine in a melon patch is without the vine the melon will not grow we live by faith we are nourished by faith here's could you help me pray tonight i i got a text from brother ankenbauer sister colleen is going to be having surgery tomorrow at ut and uh she's going to be in the hospital about three days could we pray for sister colleen hank and bower tonight that god would keep his hands on her would you join me in prayer father i pray again for all the needs of these people lord i know at times we're praying for lost people god we're praying for worldwide evangelism but god may we never forget in the midst of reaching out to worldwide evangelism that god you love the flock that's right here in this building god in that we we talk about those that are coming in and being baptized and we certainly are thankful for that but lord you care equally as much with those god that just gather and worship you and praise you i pray for sister anken bower right now that the surgery would be successful god i pray that you give her a fast and speedy recovery and bring her back god to the house of the lord
