Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

To everything there is a season

  • The series on time, talents and treasures opens by teaching what the Bible says is the value of time, and reads Solomon's catalogue: to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.
  • Verse 11 stands over the whole catalogue: God has made everything beautiful in his time.
  • Later in the lesson he calls the verse back to the screen and reads it again — at the end of Solomon's teaching on time: as a man weaves his way through seasons of things being born and things dying, God makes everything beautiful in his time.

Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; Ecclesiastes 3:11; Ecclesiastes 3:11

The whole duty of man

  • Solomon sums up his own road: fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man — the way, he says, to stay off the road of backsliding.
  • For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.

Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Carry up my bones

  • Joseph is the son of Israel's old age, loved more than all his children, and made a coat of many colors.
  • Dying in Egypt, Joseph takes an oath of the children of Israel — God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from hence — and he is embalmed and put in a coffin in Egypt, waiting on the promise.
  • At the exodus, Moses takes the bones of Joseph with him, for Joseph had straitly sworn them; the coffin rides out of Egypt with the delivered people.
  • The bones come to rest at last at Shechem, in the parcel of ground Jacob bought — the long wait ends in burial in the promised land.

Scriptures: Genesis 37:3; Genesis 50:24-26; Exodus 13:18-19; Joshua 24:32

Beautiful in his time

  • The bride speaks of the bridegroom: thou art beautiful, O my love, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.
  • Isaiah prophesies of Christ: in that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious — the branch of the Lord, he says, is the Lord Jesus Christ, God in flesh.
  • The psalmist looks past death: as for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
  • Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be; but when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Scriptures: Song of Solomon 6:4; Isaiah 4:2; Psalm 17:15; 1 John 3:2-3

The judgment seat and the great white throne

  • After the church is raptured and resurrected, all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether good or bad.
  • At the very end stands the great white throne, from whose face the earth and the heaven flee away; the dead are judged out of those things written in the books, and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
  • Daniel closes the lesson: at that time shall Michael stand up, there shall be a time of trouble such as never was, and many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake.

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11-15; Daniel 12:1-3

that are going on God all the teachers that are implanting the word into our children's Hearts tonight on their age level Lord I pray for anointing in every class on this campus Lord I ask you tonight the next few moments to be upon me with the adults and God that I could somehow help us all to see the value of time in Jesus name we pray amen and amen give him a hand of Praise as you're being seated time time time see if any of this sounds familiar to you have you heard anybody ever say what are you doing killing time killing time have you ever said to someone hey you're wasting time you ever said GPS doesn't know as much as you let's go down this road I think we can save some time of course people have actually said let's make some time and that's a false statement there's nobody can make time because God is the only one that made time of I got a little funny story when we go into this much deeper I read about time I stay on time and I this little quote come up it said how can you tell when your clock is hungry answer it goes back for seconds okay through everything there is time there is time amen Solomon as he wrote the Book of Ecclesiastes thank you Solomon thank you thank you Solomon because Solomon had it all given to him Solomon had God given to him through a father named David Solomon had all the worship demonstrated before him but Solomon somehow got Wayward on God Solomon yes Solomon backslid Solomon backslid he somehow never denied God he never he never denied that there was a god he just opened up his mind to other thinkings and he opened up his mind to other teachings and other religions and he married many strange many women who served and worshiped strange gods and Solomon became hungry for the pursuit to fill his heart he just never could when he walked away from God he didn't realize it at the time but he just never could be quite satisfied nothing nothing never quite would satisfy Solomon he had all the wealth he had he had all the Trinkets and the material things that that he could ever want but he begins to write about of course he returns back to God but he was so thoughtful of a generation to say don't come down my path Ecclesiastes is really a book written by from a backslider's point of view and Solomon is really saying don't make the same mistakes that I made don't don't don't go down the road that I went down don't don't fall into the pits of life that I fell into stay away so he writes the book of Ecclesiastes in an attempt to get anyone that knows God to stay on that road and and he uses the word over and over again vanity and Vain and empty and and he's just simply saying he's crying out he's really crying out don't go down the road that I went down I made it back I made it back but don't you go down that road is it any Wonder when Solomon closes the Book of Ecclesiastes he closes the Book of Ecclesiastes Ecclesiastes chapter 12 and verse number 11 he closes he closes it out chapter 12 excuse me Proverbs chapter 12. verses 13 and 14. he's he's ending it he's done with trying to tell you he's he's done with trying to tell you not to go down not to go down the road here's the last two verses here's the last two verses let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter he said let's just sum it all up I just want to I just want to sum everything up this former backslider says I just want to sum it all up in other words he's saying here's how to stay off this road fear God fear God and keep his Commandments for this is the whole duty of man he says you want to stay off the road of backsliding fear God have a healthy fear have a healthy fear of God I heard much to my surprise and I just had to speak out loud my wife was showing me a video that was written and it was about a a a minister that had went astray he had went astray and he had done tremendous immoral illegal criminal activity uh just grotesque sin that had put him in prison and another minister went to see him and he asked that Minister that was in prison he said when did you fall out of love with Jesus when was it in your ministry that you fell out of love with Jesus and the man that had committed that while in the ministry had committed grotesque sins and even criminal activity that landed him in prison he said oh I never fell out of love with Jesus I never fell out of love with said the whole time I was doing all of those deeds I loved Jesus I was in love with Jesus but I fell out of the fear of God well I'm going to tell you how wrong that is you can never have the fear of God without having the love of God and if you have the true love of God you will automatically have the fear of God you cannot have one without the other if you fear God you will love God and if you love God you will somebody help me you will fear God Solomon says stay off the road I'm on I was on he said it's simple fear God and keep his Commandments you say I don't see love there anywhere Jesus said if you loved me what will happen you'll keep my Commandments he says these two things in verse number 13. he says fear God it's a whole thing it's the whole it's it's everything if you want to just condense it all down it's not complicated you want to live for God fear God and if you don't know what the fear of God is ask God to show it to you if you if you're one I don't know what the fear of God is it's a reverential fear of God that you consider your actions in light of him it's not that I fear a lightning boat it's that that I Fear God because God only wants what is good for our lives and so every decision has the fear of God coupled in it and when you have the fear of God the next thing is just keep his Commandments he says in verse 13 for this is the how much of the duty of man it is the whole duty of man verse 14. for God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing whether it be good or whether it be evil he just simply says let me tell you fear God keep his wall and always live with the understanding there's nothing in secret that we're all one day all of us all of us Solomon's saying we're all going to stand in judgment for our lives that we lived on this Earth and so Solomon wants to teach us the value of time and he simply wants you to know this this valuable thing called time he says to everything there's three words in in Ecclesiastes three and one there's three words here season time and purpose season time and purpose the word time is also can be interchangeable with the word opportunity because time is an opportunity we have an opportunity with time so in this third this first verse of the third chapter three words season time and purpose God has a purpose for our lives and because God had a purpose for our lives God has given us the time the time the opportunity he's given us time to fulfill that purpose and with time God gives us God gives us Seasons he places Us in seasons of our life Seasons that are there to develop things in us that we don't have that God has to say I've got to put you in a season now just get ready for this because as you live as you live you see what Solomon says time to be born A Time To Die we see life we see life from the hospital with the announcement of a new birth and we also come to the end this church has seen I don't know how many young mothers and fathers bring their newborns some of them bring their newborns with this this is the first Sunday of their life and they're here in the house of God and they come and they're joyous and we all gather around and we Rejoice with a new life as a time to be born but how many of us have gathered here when a Hearst is setting outside and we come here as the oars did some time ago we come here as the Ammons did some time ago because it's sure enough is there's a time to be born there's a time to die right then he just simply Solomon just simply weaves his way through life there's a time to plan a time to pluck up a time to kill time to heal he just takes us through and I won't do it again but it just takes us through this Winding Road of life this Winding Road of life that it's just it's just there it is a Winding Road of life time Church is a gift from God it is a gift of God that we choose you and I choose what we will do with this gift from God we choose this tonight you see in all the places you could have been tonight in all the places that you could have been tonight nobody held a gun to your head nobody is threatening you we don't believe in the guilt trip around here when it comes time to give offerings we're not condemning you because you spend more on shotgun shells and dog food than you give to missions we don't do that here all right but you do realize that we are in possession each of us are in possession of two documents that pretty well tell our story as far as God our calendar in our checkbook our calendar our time our time where we spend our time nobody held a gun to your head tonight I'm not a condemning preacher I just preached the value of the house of God you've obeyed it that's why we have an unusual amount that's here uh on Wednesday evening I had to I had to uh Brother Dean I had to correct a woman in the mall we were walking the mall on Monday and a woman recognized us and she said we want you to know in whatever denomination she was she was mistaken she said do you know that we and she named her church are the only people that have church on Sunday night I said ma'am you are mistaken and she said now before she could listen to me she said now we've not went back to Heaven midweek yet but we have it on Sunday morning and Sunday night I said I got you beat we went back to having midweek we have it and she got to tell him and she said well she said before long said we're going to be the only two churches in this entire County it's going to have church I told her I said I haven't had the thoughts of of doing away with the service I will confess to you I've had the thoughts of adding more services you know I've had thought of more prayer meetings and more times to get together but our checkbook and our calendar are documents that tell where we spend our time thank you for spending your time in the house of God time is a gift from God God gives us time and to see what we will do with it Solomon said time is like Patchwork time to be born time to die time to plant time to read time to time to hey of course we don't hate people we hate what people do but we don't hate people right he talks about all these different times that we go through and as I was I was just weaving my way through study today a time for this and a time for that because eventually at the end at the end could everybody say at the end at the end of of Solomon's teaching on time he says this beautiful verse God makes everything beautiful in his time in other words as I weave my way through life and sometimes there's things being born sometimes there's things dying and I weave my way through life and sometimes there's times for dancing sometime there's times for weeping as I weave my way through life sometimes there's a time to speak sometimes there's a time to remain silent but I understand as God puts our lives together much like Patchwork anybody ever seen a quilt sure you have what a ridiculous question to ask to Southerner that patchwork that person that takes those small patches and sows this patch to that patch and when they're all done with that quilt what looked like a pile of nothing but strips of cloth becomes a beautiful quilt that you'll put on your bed I believe God is doing the same thing with our lives there's times in our lives I don't like you ever been in a time you didn't like sure you have you ever been in a season of your time you don't like the season but you know one thing don't give up on God nor his ways regardless of the season the seasons are going to change don't sell your snow shovel come April 1st because the cold weather will come again patchwork somehow my mind when I was thinking about patchwork my mind went to Genesis 37 and verse 3. it's about a young man by the name of Joseph Genesis 37 and verse 3. the Bible says now Israel Love Joseph more than all of his children because he was the son of his old age and he made him a coat of many colors he made him a coat of many colors now this coat looked like a quilt it just had sleeves and Pockets he was long enough it covered Joseph I've studied that this this robe was probably to his hands and maybe a little longer than his than his hands would be to flare out on the end because you you knew royalty in that day because the the Royal ones were never going to work with their hands so therefore the robes would always cover their hands was down to their feet but be well assured of just one thing it was a coat of Patchwork it had many different patches sold to it was it just one solid color the Bible says it was a coat of many it was a coat of many colors and it was a coat of many colors because his father loved him now let me allow me a little wiggle room here I wonder if this is not typology of how much God loves us how much God cares for us do you know that things in our lives will never be developed with God if God didn't give us such a diversity of times if it was all shouting we would get bored with the shout if it was all weeping we would get bored with the weeping but God seems to add variety to our lives church he seems to add ups and downs and valleys but when we stay true to God the darkest Valley is always welcoming the brightest morning that comes to our lives that's why we never give up that's why we keep on moving with God even when we don't understand God I don't understand God sometimes and I try to correct my prayer time because sometimes in my prayer time it's informing God on how he ought to do and what he ought to do and that's just not how God works and so there's times I don't understand him they cannot get a witness tonight there can't be any times we don't trust him because that's when we take matters out of his hands and say God you're not doing a good job with my life I'm going to take matters into my hand I'm going to do this my way and we all know how that shows how that ends up Could It Be I'm just asking you now I'm asking for a little consideration and could it be that somehow Israel is a typology of God and Joseph is a typology not only of Christ but Joseph is a typology of you and I and that God loves us so much that he makes us a coat of many colors because we can never become the people that he wants us to be unless we walk through low valleys and went over high mountains and walked on planes and been in the Heat and been in the cold and been in the dark days and the light days we can never know God the Bible said he made him a coat of many colors oh yes all of us love the color favor don't we love that color of favor oh you hear people they'll say how you doing blessed and highly favored problem is they have a hard time uttering that when they're going through a trial you see when God favors you he puts a certain patch on there that identifies you as favor but what about when your own brothers hate you what does that patch look like how about when they throw you in the pit of hopelessness how does that Pat patch look like of course there's nobody in here has not ever been in a pit of hopelessness right you know I'm being facetious how about the color of the unknown Egypt how about the color of the favor of the world may I I couldn't get the favor of my brothers but the world sure does love me boy they've accepted me in Potiphar's house I am sure loved in Potiphar's house you're loved in the world as long as you please the world you're loved in the church when you please it and when you don't and I'm telling you that's a big difference between the church and the world you mess with people out in the world they write you off you mess with people in the church they forgive you and there's reconciliation and we go on and we live for God together amen you know that's the truth tonight you know it's the truth how about the color of the hatred of the world how about when Potiphar's wife gives you a false accusation how about when she claims you've tried to rape her anybody ever had the patchwork of a false accusation how about the color of being forgotten there in the prison how about the color of Hope again how about the color of the reason why Joseph went through all that Patchwork Joseph could stand as the vice president as the vice president of Egypt as a vice president and he can look at his brothers come down and bring his other family and he could say I have the why of why my life has had all these different days I have the why of why we went through what we did you meant it evil remember that remember Joseph's sister's Brothers I know why I went through all that I went through you meant it evil but God meant it for good to prepare this bread for this famine but can I tell you something this evening life is more about after we've lived then why we're living we have to we have to move the standard of just thinking life is up to the to the last breath we breathe no we live our lives for that glorified breath after death Please Don't Judge Christianity up to the time that you die please don't judge you I I just don't know I I just I just don't I just don't know I just don't know about this just look at look at sister Thompson over here she's got cancer inside her body what a God she serves wait a minute you don't understand it's not in this life only that we have hope come on this is what separates us from the so-called Christian churches that only preach about life here Destiny health wealth Prosperity things are going to turn around this and that I get it I understand it all right nobody wants to be sick and nobody wants to be poor all right I get it I understand it but those are not the standards for being in the will of God so we need to we need a new testament Church oh we do well let's bring Paul because Paul has got a servant Paul has got a servant and Paul writes a letter and he says I left my servant at melitus I believe it was or troas one of the two it's not a Salvation issue if I messed it up it's not going to determine whether we go to heaven or hell all right it's either malitas it might have been my lead it's the name but the servant was left in a city and Paul says sick wait a minute Paul they take handkerchiefs and tie onto your side and they send them out and people are healed that's right but sometimes life says that you're going to be sick that doesn't mean you're out of the will of God sister Thompson I preach to you tonight you're not out of the will of God I preached to you when the Demons of Hell want to try to come through your windowsill and tell you that this is payment for some kind of sin that God hasn't forgiven you of I am telling you that is a Lie from the pit of Hell life is not all about it's not all about here it's not all about here well let me go verse go back to it put me Ecclesiastes 3 11 back on the screen for just a moment because here was the patchwork of all of his life but God in verse number 11 God hath made everything beautiful in his time could we read that together as a church because I really want this to be a a scripture that gets a hold of us tonight let's read it together as a church I'll begin it all right he hath everything in his time wait a minute now God takes all the patchwork and God makes everything beautiful in his time brother Carpenter my life's not beautiful right now I got one word for you it's not his time stop ping your watch and saying all right God this isn't beautiful God says in my time notice what it says there it says whose time does it say our time his time how's it what's he going to make out of what is that word everything he's going to make he's going to make it what beautiful beautiful he's going to make everything beautiful in his time Song of Solomon chapter 6 verse 4 Song of Solomon the bride the woman typifying the church this woman typifies the church she speaks of Solomon who typifies Jesus Christ she says in Songs of Solomon 6 and 4. she says Thou Art beautiful oh my love as tarza tarza was a very beautiful place tarza was a very beautiful land it was an incredible Village it was very beautiful she says Thou Art beautiful o my love as tars up comely as Jerusalem terrible now that's not terrible like we say terrible it's awesome as an army with banners the bride was saying to the bridegroom Jesus Christ you are beautiful you are beautiful you're awesome you're so beautiful Isaiah and Isaiah chapter 4 just stick with me now Isaiah chapter 4 and verse number 2 Isaiah is going to prophesy about Jesus Christ in Isaiah chapter 4 verse number 2 he says these words in that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious and the fruit of the Earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel beautiful the branch of the Lord is the Lord Jesus Christ it is God in flesh that is the branch of the Lord and and Isaiah says that branch of the Lord is beautiful Song of Solomon said the bridegroom is beautiful now turn with me to Psalms chapter 17. Psalms chapter 17. verse number 15. and we'll see if I can connect this for you tonight Psalm 17 verse number 15. ask for me I will Behold thy face in righteousness I will be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness the psalmist is talking about dying he's talking about death if you had read the whole 17th chapter of Psalms he's being hated by men he's being chased by men life is falling apart and all the things he says when death could come to him the only thing he says he says as for me I know I'm going to see your face I know death is going to come and when I open up my eyes after death I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness I am going to awake in your likeness what is Christ described as beautiful what is he described as beautiful the beautiful Branch the beautiful bridegroom so if I just measure life up to the time that I'm old and I die in a hospital somewhere or in a nursing home frail weak when I just view life up to that time I will miss the mark of what life is all about life is not about the time we spend on this side but life is all about the other side of death when I wake up and I'm in his likeness that's the truth right now I'm going to wake up in his likeness oh I've got to read this in first John chapter 3 verse number two don't you love Jesus tonight Church aren't you thankful that you got to Hope beyond death aren't you thankful that every Hearst you ever passed you don't have to look with Gloom and think is this all there is to life if death is all there is to life why don't you just end it and get it over with but to the child of God that knows that's not the end of life when I wake up after I've served god with time when I wake up I'm going to wake up in a beautiful situation because all them coffins has come through here all the compass from the Kathy Belcher to the lowest ore to the Jeff Rutherford's and I I'm gonna I'm gonna miss some I'm sure I know that we look at that that body that body is corruptable but the Bible says we sow that body in corruption but it'll be raised incorruptable it died because it was Mortal but it's going to be raised in or immortality oh death where is your sting and oh grave where is we ought to be the happiest people in town we're spending our time right I wish somebody would give him some praise here tonight says the carpenter John the Apostle is about 90 something years old he's about 90 years old that's one of the reasons when John when John writes his Epistles he refers to everybody as little children I guess when you're 90 years old a 70 year old man would be a little child he says in First John 3 and verse 2 First John 3 verse 2. beloved now are we the sons of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be but we know that when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is listen get him off the cross get him wrapped up like a mummy in a tomb he's not hanging on a cross gasping for breath the cross is empty and the tomb is empty and the only thing that's walking around is a glorified Victorious over death hell and the grave Jesus Christ and he says beloved it doth not yet appear what we shall be stop looking at the patches on your life right now and getting depressed it does not yet appear what we sh what we shall be but we know that when he appears we shall see him as he is and we shall be like he is look at verse 3. every man that hath this hope in him every man that hath this hope you know why a lot of people are not purifying their lives because they're living until the time they die grab all the Gusto you can enjoy all you can enjoy all you can well when you live like that you don't have any motivation to clean your life up but when you know there's a Judgment Day the Bible said every man that hath this hope in him what does he do purifieth himself even as he is pure instead of wait a minute brother Carpenter wait wait wait just a minute just hold on a second brother Carpenter you had us talking about Joseph and you left us with Joseph standing and telling his brothers I'm the vice president of Egypt God sent me here before you to prepare bread but please dear student of the Bible don't stop with Joseph there let's go to Genesis chapter 50. and verse number 24. let's go to chapter 50 of Genesis verse number 24. because God's not over with Joseph's life he's got a coat of many colors and God makes what everything in whose time verse 24 of chapter 50. and Joseph said unto his brethren I die and God will surely visit you and bring you out of this land into a land which he swear to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob and Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel saying God will surely visit you and ye shall carry up my bones from fence from hence so Joseph died being 110 years old and they embalmed him and he was put in a coffin in Egypt now he made them swear he made them take an oath he's old and he says I'm dying but before I die I want to prophesy and I'm going to tell you the Lord is going to visit you and the Lord is going to bring you out of this place and the Lord is going to boy when I when I'm on my deathbed I hope I'm prophesied I hope I'm prophesied I do I hope I'm prophesied on my death said the Lord is going to be with you and the Lord is going to bring you out of this place and because you know why because he said it to Abraham Isaac and Jacob said the Lord is going to bring you out of this place and he said now I need you all to take an oath I mean I'm serious about here get the recorder down here get get get the lawyers down here get everybody in this room in this sick room and I am I'm gonna make you sign papers what do you what do you want us to take an oath for when God visits you when God sends when God visits you sends Moses down here and God does mighty Miracles and when God visits you and God brings you out says the night that bring God brings you out somebody go get my bones somebody go down to that old guy and I imagine wouldn't you imagine he's second in control in Egypt I just imagine he wasn't buried in no pauper's graveyard I I just admit there's probably a monument there there was probably a monument to Joseph and he said I want you to go down and I want you to take a crowbar and I want you to pry off them old Lids of marble and I want you to pry it open it and said when you open up my coffin said I'm gonna be nothing but a bag of bones he said I want you to put all my bones in a bag and says when you're leaving in Victory he said take me out of here too aren't you thankful you can die in hope that God is either able to take it you know oh my Lord oh my God I can't teach I never have been able to teach I just love to preach do you know this is typology of the Rapture of the church because when God raptures the church there's two people that are going up them that have died in Christ and them that are alive in Christ the Josephs that have died all right sister Thompson I don't know if God is going to heal you but we're gonna live a life of Faith Joseph said I die but take my bones out of here I don't want to stop I think I hear my Bible talking to me but I would not have you to be ignorant Brethren concerning them which are asleep that's your sorrow not even as others which have no hope for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him for this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we wish are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep for the Lord shall himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the Archangel and the Trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall foreign I'm 75 years old and I've been hearing about the Lord coming he ain't come yet I'm 80 years old I'm 35. that's all I've ever heard take my bones out of here how many years you reckon went by that old Joseph laid over a dead in that mausoleum can I just give you a little hint around 400. and 30 years that's right they were slaves that long but something happened something something happened let me go back here and get it something happened 400 can you even grasp 400 400 years 400 years 400 years but that night came God's sin is his angel and that night came I wish somebody would say that night came I don't care how long it is I don't care if it's 400 years or 2000 years the night of the Lord's coming is coming you write it off say we're mentally weak and we need a crutch of something all you want to but you better keep it alive because that night is going to come 430 something years later Pharaoh says get out of here get out of here leave Exodus chapter 13 verse number 18 happened Exodus chapter 13 verse number 18. they're getting ready to leave Exodus 13 and verse number 18. but God led the people about through the way of the Wilderness of the Red Sea and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt they're coming out of Egypt and Moses took the bones of Joseph with him for he had strictly sworn the children of Israel saying God will surely visit you and you shall carry up my bones away from hence unto you let me tell you something I don't know if it went something like this has eaten Passover and it there's even pass over and the death angel came and and Pharaoh saying get out of here and everybody's getting in the streets leaving Egypt 430 years somebody said hey you better get your crowbar and we better get a bag and we better go down to that Mausoleum we better go down to that Monument I just imagine I don't think I'm far off that was probably one more Monument there in the square in Egypt and they begin to pry that old that old marble back up and they opened up that coffin and they got down and they got the bones and you can look you said man look at them going out Egypt and you can look at them going through the Wilderness they've got the Tabernacle now they've they I run the I run time up and they've got the Tabernacle now and there's the shoe bread table and there's the Ark of the Covenant there's a lamp stand and and somebody said underneath that cloth is a golden Altar and underneath that cloth is the Brazen Altar and I imagine somebody said can you tell me what that one man is carrying that bag over his shoulder he's a man got it got it got a big old long backpack over his shoulder and somebody said that's a bones of Joseph right there that's the bones of Joseph because Joseph was brought out of Egypt but he wasn't just brought out of Egypt he wasn't just brought out of Egypt the Bible says when they settled in the land of sweet Canaan they settled in the land of sweet Canaan it's a land that God gave it's the promise fulfilled Joshua 24 32. Joshua 24 32 and the bones of Joseph which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt buried they in shechem in a partial of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of hamor the father of shechem for a hundred pieces of silver now watch this now and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph can I tell you something tonight Mom and Dad build your Hope on God because it's going to be the inheritance like no other inheritance To God Be A Praying mom be a Praying dad be a worshiping dad be a worshiping mother have a worship about you let your children know that you're godly and when you're long dead and gone and your goals are in the grave it's going to be something that your children have for an inheritance well I'm so thankful tonight that God can take our lives and we don't live this positive mental uh attitude that everything's going to be all right down here we live and understand that God has given us time and what we do with time what we do with time will determine what God does with us in eternity and I want you to know that if you're in the church when the Rapture happens give you a little just a little next few moments just a little uh bible study on on what will happen when the Rapture happens the church does not go to the great white Throne judgment we don't go to that place because at the great white Throne judgment is to determine whether you come into heaven or you're cast into the Lake of Fire when the church is raptured and Resurrected the Bible says in second Corinthians 5 and verse 10 for we must all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ that everyone may receive the things done in his body according to that which he hath done whether it be good or bad now don't stumble over that bad part it's just simply we're going to be saved but God is saying this bad here is really referring is really referring not to having the right attitude all right not having the right attitude notice he didn't say you're going to receive according to that which you have done whether it be good or or sin or good or evil but it's just good or good or bad the attitude that's why as as children of God let's really work on having the right attitude foreign based on your attitude you you you you you'll be judged by that I want to have the right attitude because we're going to all stand before the Judgment seat of Christ but now in Revelation chapter 20 and verse 11. and I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away and there was found no place for them you're not going to escape it I saw the dead small and great stand before God the books plural were open another book singular was open which is The Book of Life and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books plural according to their Works she gave up the dead which ran it death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them and they were judged every man according to their works are you following along with this verse according to their Works death and hell were cast in the Lake of Fire this is the second death and whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire now when the church is raptured that's the that is the Judgment seat of Christ at the very end of time at the very end we've went through revelation we went through tribulation we're coming to the end of time God will set up his great white Throne judgment no man can hide from it they'll cry out for the rocks to cover them up but no man it's not the church no man can hide small and great poor Rich famous unknown the list goes on and on since Adam since Adam all the way up to our present day will stand before God and the books will be opened the books the plurals 66 books of the Bible that's why we ought to study this book we're all going to meet this book in judgment you got to study this book there's dispensations in this book dispensation is a period of time that God dealt with man in a particular way has a has a beginning and an end it has judgment God judges the first dispensation with Adam was a dispensation of Innocence God created man and innocency put him in the garden only gave him one commandment man failed that commandment innocence ended in him being expelled from the Garden of Eden we didn't enter into the second dispensation conscience man LED and would guide himself by an inner knowledge that failed because of the worldwide flood judgment ended then there was a human government the dispensation of human government the dispensation a promise the dispensation of law and the dispensation that we're under right now is the dispensation of Grace the grace of God the gospel of God the only dispensation that gave the ability for man to truly be born again so whether wherever you live or lived in that dispensation when you stand before him the books will be open and you'll be judged out of the books a court just out of the books according to their what Works how many knows I wouldn't be stretching if I said what you did with your time because you can't have Works without time what you did with your with your works now it's not happens yet it's not happened yet but Daniel chapter 12 verse number 1 Daniel chapter 12 verse number one someone say praise the Lord Daniel 12 and 1. in the Book of Daniel Daniel never mentions the church he never mentions he never mentions the church he stays strictly with Israel and at that time shall Michael stand up the great Prince was standeth for the children of thy People Israel and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time that's Great Tribulation and at that time thy people shall be delivered everyone that shall be found written in the book and many of them let's talk about Israel and many of them shall that sleep in the dust of the Earth shall awake some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt and they that be wise shall shine is the brightness of the firmament and they that turn many to righteousness as the Stars forever and ever that's where we kind of got this thing every time you went win a soul you get a star in your crown that's kind of where this this this came from but do you understand Joseph if I could prophesy to Joseph Joseph it must have been fantastic when you saw God's plan in your life and how God sent you before but Joseph you requested your bones not to be buried in Egypt because one day Joseph is going to be Resurrected and Joseph is going to be given a glorified body that won't die and Joseph although he is not the church he is not the church Joseph will be Resurrected and I just would like to be with Ojo when he walks to the Pearly gate I'd just like to be with him when he beholds and God shows him the dispensations of time and God somebody Taps Joseph on the shoulder and says you were a type of Jesus Christ all that that you went through can I tell you I just imagine that Joseph's mouth will be like our mouths when we open up our eyes and behold who he is we're going to we're going to want to sing the song it was worth it all it was worth it all ever long mile ever long trial it was all all church it's going to be worth it all spend your time on things that promote the kingdom spend your time what are you doing with your time you stand thank you thank you that's what you're doing with your time and last but not least sister Yates and her kitchen crew all right now let me tell this our kitchen here at the church we get we get inspected and graded just like Applebee's just like uh Cracker Barrel we fall in the same inspectors that come years ago when we started the inspector told us the inspector told us don't expect a 100 on your grade don't expect that and here's what he said he said if I put down that you this is a 100 percent grade that there's nothing wrong they don't believe there can be a kitchen that nothing is wrong and they'll believe that I haven't been out so they say we're always going to find something we'll examine and see if there's a dent in a can or if there's a mop not hanging the right way we're going to find something but our inspector came was it this week this week our inspector came and our inspector gave us a 100 rating and wonderful sister Yates thank you for your leadership in the
