Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The Head Text: Hear, O Israel

  • He reads Deuteronomy 6:4 as the head text: hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord, and announces his topic from its first three words.
  • The oneness of God stands whether a man believes it or not; what decides whether he profits by it is the hearing part, which is his own responsibility.
  • He calls the verse the foundation of Israel, as Acts 2:38 is the foundation stone of the apostolic church, and says the shama, as they call it, simply means to hear.

Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:4

The Church as the Israel of God

  • From Galatians 6 he reads that God forbids glorying except in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, that neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything but a new creature, and that peace rests on as many as walk according to this rule, and upon the Israel of God.
  • He reads in Galatians 3: all are the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus, as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, and those who are Christ's are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.
  • He takes Jesus at his word that upon this rock he will build his church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Scriptures: Galatians 6:14-16; Galatians 3:26-29; Matthew (book-only, as spoken)

Responsible to Hear, and the Famine of Hearing

  • He presses Jesus' word in Matthew 11:15, he that hath ears to hear, let him hear, and teaches that we are responsible for the hearing part of our salvation.
  • He reads Amos 8:11, where God sends a famine in the land, not a famine of bread nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord, and warns there is no more helpless person than one outside the hearing of God's word.
  • Israel tired of Samuel the prophet and asked for a king like the world has; the fault they found in him was that he kept reminding them of their need for God.

Scriptures: Matthew 11:15; Amos 8:11

Two Ways of Hearing at Ephesus

  • He reads Acts 19:1-7 entire: Paul finds certain disciples at Ephesus, asks have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed, learns they were baptized unto John's baptism, and they are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus; Paul lays his hands on them, the Holy Ghost comes on them, and all the men, about twelve, speak with tongues and prophesy.
  • He teaches that John's baptism had an expiration date at Calvary and that it was not Paul's preaching but their receiving of the word that did it.
  • Reading on in Acts 19:8-10, Paul speaks boldly three months in the synagogue and two years in the school, yet many are hardened and speak evil of that way; the difference between the twelve and the multitude is how they heard the word of God.

Scriptures: Acts 19:1-7; Acts 19:8-10

Thunder, an Angel, and a Voice

  • He reads in John 12: Jesus prays, father, glorify thy name, a voice comes from heaven saying I have both glorified it and will glorify it again, and the people standing by divide over it, some saying it thundered and others that an angel spoke to him; it was one sound heard two ways, by the condition of the heart.
  • He reads Acts 9:3-6, Saul's conversion on the road to Damascus: the light from heaven, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me, and the humbled man asking, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do.
  • Acts 9:7 adds that the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no man; they heard a voice and not the conversation.
  • In Acts 22:6-10 Paul rehearses the same testimony and says they that were with him saw the light and were afraid, but they heard not the voice of him that spoke to him; humility decides whether a man hears a voice or a conversation.

Scriptures: John 12:27-29; Acts 9:3-6; Acts 9:7; Acts 22:6-10

Dry Bones Must Hear

  • He goes to Ezekiel 37:11-14: the bones are the whole house of Israel, saying our bones are dried, our hope is lost, we are cut off; God answers, behold, O my people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, and shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live.
  • The story hinges on the word spoken to the bones first: O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord; God could not raise them until they were willing to hear.
  • No one in the house is beyond help or outside the reach of the power and the hand of almighty God.

Scriptures: Ezekiel 37:11-14; Ezekiel 37:4

The Mouths at War

  • He warns of antichrist spirits whose great swelling words are trained to deceive unstable hearts and to mock the way of holiness.
  • From the book of Revelation he retells the antichrist who was given a mouth speaking great things, and the one riding upon a white horse, his vesture dipped in blood, his name called the Word of God, out of whose mouth proceeds a sharp two-edged sword; the great mouth is shut up, but the one with the sharp sword lives on forever.
  • He closes in praise of the word: it will last longer than your trial, and every promise in the book is yes and amen.

everybody said amen you may be seated thank you for standing here oh Israel Church how fortunate We Are Tonight how fortunate We Are Tonight how blessed We Are Tonight fortunate that we have the word of God how fortunate tonight how blessed how honored how privileged that we are to have a Bible to be able to hear the Bible being taught tonight to be able to hear the word of God I U like to read you a little something that I found the other day it simply says God wrote a book God wrote a book that reality blows me away every time I stop to think about it pages and pages of God his thoughts his words his heart right there just a few inches away from our hands God wrote a book and with his book these words in front of us he awakens our dead he awakens our dead bored souls he frees us from bondage to Sin from desires that Rob us of life he Comforts The depressed come on somebody he Comforts The depressed inspires the discouraged anybody ever fall under that category he inspires the discouraged guides the confused he empowers us to make our lives count for his cause in the world he satisfies us comp completely can you say completely he satisfies us how farely he satisfies us completely and forever with his words how blessed privileged and honored we are to have God's word as a matter of fact the scripture begins tonight most of the time when you hear this scripture read in an opening text you're going to hear the tremendous treasure that our God the Lord our God is not two he's not three he's not six he's not nine and as one so-called Theologian tried to say there's really 18 but I'm here to tell you tonight we have the safety of the scripture to know that there is only one God but that's not my text tonight or that's not my that's not what I want to examine in this text I want to examine the first three words here oh Israel here oh Israel as a matter of fact this is so important among God's people of the Old Testament Israel God's people that have endured time tragedy hatred and still to this day there is a deep disdained and hatred toward Jewish people and it ought not be but they're hated because of who they are but they have survived every pharaoh and they have survived every Roman Emperor and they have survived every Hitler and the reason that they have survived is that they are God's people they are God's people as a matter of fact Deuteronomy 6 and4 is a foundation of Israel God's people it's as if this is Deuteronomy 6:4 is to the Jewish Nation what acts 238 is to the Apostolic Church I remember many years ago a radio station opened here in town a Christian radio station opened man I buzzed right down there over on Broadway I buzzed right down there to buy time on that radio station little did I know the owner of that station was a pastor here in town and uh he he wasn't all that happy to see me and being a younger man and him being an older man he tried to Bluff me had a church check I was ready to pay for few weeks matter of fact the name of it was anybody remember the name of the radio program we had years ago keys to the kingdom is what it was keys to the kingdom and um as we sat down he said now I I want you to know that we don't want none of that acts 338 preached and I was trying to think and I didn't have brother Frank Jones there if you all knew him you would know him I really didn't know right off that what acts 3:38 meant but I assured him I said well I I I I won't really be preaching a lot of Acts 338 I said said but now I will preach a lot of Acts 238 he said well that's what I was talking about I folded the checkup I said I'm sorry I said um I can't sign a contract such as that put the check back in my pocket and evidently um he changed his tune all right he changed his tune and said well that's okay you can preach it but hero Israel the Lord our God is the foundation of the nation of Israel just like acts 238 is a foundational Stone to the Apostolic Church they call it the shama the shama simply means one word it means to hear it means to hear you see God is one God is a blessing God but everything hinges upon us being responsible to hear God will not hear for us it falls on us to hear oh Israel the Lord our God is one it is my responsibility it is my responsibility if I am going to be saved it is my responsibility to hear the word of the lord it's my responsibility to hear the word of God it's a matter of fact I told you Israel was God's people in the Old Testament but when God birthed the church at Pentecost the church made up of Jews and Gentiles becomes what is referred to in the Bible as the Israel of God look with me in Galatians chapter 6 and verse number 14 Paul is dealing with the church Gentile and Jew Galatians 6:14 listen to Paul very closely God forbid that I should Glory except in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ by whom the world is crucified unto me and I un to the world now what he's talking about boasting they would boast that they were Jews they would boast that they were the Seed of Abraham they did great pride great boasting that they were were a Jew but Paul said God forbid that I would boast except I'm going to boast I'm going to boast in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom the world is crucified unto me and I unto the world now let me break that down simply and tell you because I boast in the cross the world sees nothing in me that it wants the world does not want the church there's nothing in the church that the world wants except us preaching Jesus Christ he said there's nothing in the church there's nothing in the church that the world wants are you listen and there's nothing in the world that the church wants he said save the cross of Jesus Christ let me read on verse 15 for in Christ Jesus there is neither circumcision neither circumcision availeth anything nor uncircumcision but a new creature he said in Christ whether you're circumcised or not circumcision meant that you were either a Jew or a proelite and that you had a covenant relationship with God and that was the Old Testament but Paul says now that we're in Christ Jesus you don't have an advantage whether you're circumcised or you're uncircumcised he says for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything nor uncircumcision but a new creature and as many as walk according to this rule peace be on them and mercy and upon the Israel of God he just described the church and he just described the church as the Israel of God and just like I told you Pharaoh's could stop them Emperors couldn't kill them Hitlers couldn't annihilate them just as in the natural seed of Israel is the Church of the Living God no wonder Jesus said Upon This Rock I will build my church and the Gates of Hell shall not Prevail aren't you thankful to be in something tonight that the Gates of Hell cannot over come the Israel the Israel of God well let's go to Galatians chapter 3 verse number 26 Galatians 3 go back a few chapters Galatians 3:26 for ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus for as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek there is neither Bond nor free there is neither male nor female for you are all one in Christ Jesus and if ye be Christ then are ye Abraham's seed and HS according to the promise this is the reason the next time somebody tries to challenge you that the Old Testament is not applicable for us today you need to tell them that you are a spiritual Jew and that you want to read in the Old Testament what God required of a natural Jew because what he required then and what he did then and what he performed then and how he protected then is how he is going to protect the Church of the Living God is Israel not full of Miracles throughout the Old Testament sure it is and so we read the history and we know that just as God took care of that natural seed he will much more take care of this spiritual the spiritual so going back to my text tonight here oh Israel we are responsible we are responsible for the hearing part of our Salvation we are are responsible for the hearing part of our Salvation no wonder Jesus said in Matthew chap 11 verse number 15 maybe this will come to light and help us a little bit Matthew 11 verse number 15 listen to Jesus he that hath ears to hear Let Him hear he says that over and over and over again he that hath ears to hear for you and I are responsible for the hearing part of our Salvation The Book of Amos chapter 8 verse number 11 God was angry with Israel God was angry with Israel because Israel got bored with his word Israel got bored with the prophets a matter of fact they didn't treat the prophets kindly because the prophets came from God and how did the prophets open up their messages hear the word of the Lord that's how they would start their messages oh Israel hear the word of the Lord and because they got tired of the prophets and they stoned many of them and they despised many of them and they hated many of them and because of all that God said I tell you you don't like hearing preaching you don't like hearing the prophets you don't like when you walk down to the town square and Ezekiel or Isaiah one of the prophets jump up on a railing and begins to say Israel hear I want you to hear the way you you you you don't like that dud you don't like that God said well here's what I'll give you in Amos chapter 8 verse number 11 God said behold the days come sayith the Lord God that I will who's going to send it who's going to send it I will send a famine in the land a famine is simply a lack of basic needs of Life a famine is a scarcity it's a shortage it's barely having enough to maintain life and God said I will send a famine in the land no not a famine of bread nor a thirst for water but of hearing the words of the Lord he said no no I'm not going to put you in a depression and take your material things from you I'm not going to put you in a depression and take bread and water from you he said I'm going to give you a famine and it'll be a famine of the shortage of the word of God I'm going to tell you there is no more helpless person than a person that's outside of the hearing of God's word I would rather be bankrupt and be able to hear God's word than to have 10 million dollars in the bank and not have an ear to want to hear God's word he said it's not going to be a famine of bread and a famine of water he said I'm just not going to send them prophets to you you're not going to you're not going to be able to hear the word of God how thankful and grateful and I'd like for us just to take a moment and thank God tonight that we are not in a famine of the word of God you'll hear it pro preach and preach go ahead you'll hear it talk you'll hear it preach you'll hear the word of God you'll hear that word you'll hear that word of God but you know prophets and pastors and preachers are probably some of the most misunderstood people if you don't have a love to hear the word if you don't have a love to hear the word the pastor the preacher the prophet the Evangelist whoever he is do you know what he come across he'll come across as a tyrant he'll come across as a control freak he'll come across oh that's some oh this he just he just has to have control he just he just has to you know have control of everything and and um you know Samuel came to the end of his days Samuel came to the end of his days and Israel got tired of Samuel the prophet now when when we get tired of the world or we get tired of the word we don't get tired of the world you see there's either a decrease of the world in your life and if there's a decrease of worldly things in your life there will be a there will if there's an increase excuse me if there's an increase of the worldly things in your life automatically there will be a decrease of God's word but if there's an increase of a desire to hear God's word that will automatic Al be a decrease of the things of this world and so Israel at that time they said Samuel you're old you're old you're not the young Samuel that used to be you're you're you're you're old you're old you you know something people may grow old but this word don't grow old people may grow old but this word doesn't grow old and he said and your children they don't walk with God make us a king like the world has you know Samuel it no doubt it upset him no no no doubt it upset him he called him all around there and he said whose donkey have I taken he said have I stole any have I stole anybody's donkey here he said who have I defrauded said speak up if I've taken any money from you if I've if I've lied to you if i' if I've robbed from you if I've taken something from if I've defraud you in any way he said speak up speak up he said the issue you have with me is I keep reminding you of your need for God you think about that you think about that the next time you don't understand why pastor wants everybody in the auditorium and up around the ey here here he is going to make us come up around the altar well come on Einstein what do you think I want you up around the altar four I want you engage with God is that a fault do you fault me because I want you to be engaged with god oh there it goes I I'm not put on duty I'm not put on duty like I used to be put on because I don't make all the services he he's just a little control he just a little Hitler up there he just a little control freak up there can I just tell you why I want you here I want you he so you stay in a healthy relationship of hearing of the word that honest to God I'm not trying to be a smart elic tonight I I I I have I have no motive for wanting you to be engaged in service I have no motive to tell you hey why you're on duty why why you're on duty either upstairs or or the security team or wherever and you don't have to be on your cell phone don't be on your cell phone be why is that we is trying to control tell me when I can be on my cell phone and when I can't no no no no no please don't hate me for that please don't don't hate me if I steal something from you you hate me if I if I if I carjack you ton not going home hate me for that but don't hate me because I just want to Le you into a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ you you the last thing you want is a pastor that doesn't care if you show up or not the last thing that you want is a pastor that could care less if you come to the altar or not that that's the last thing thing you want you ought to be thankful that I I know it sound like I'm slapping myself on the back but you ought to be thankful for a pastor that wants you to worship and thankful for a pastor that want you wants you to go to marriage or treat thankful for a pastor that wants these things that's good preacher I'm telling you you're preaching if that's good pre telling that's great preaching I think I'll join this church thank you sir thank you for that sir I appreciate that you're a nice looking man thank you sir do you know that how we choose to receive the word of God that's our choice I said that's our choice here o Israel the Lord our God is one you do nothing about what comes after Israel what comes after those first three words brother Justin here o Israel there's where you do nothing about it the Lord our God is one Lord he's one whether I believe it or not he's one whether I worship him or not he's one whether I tithe or not why he's even one when I'm not even here at church Church He Still Remains one whether I believe him or I don't believe him doesn't make him any more or any less God he is God period but what determines whether or not I become a recipient of that is those first three words hear oh Israel that determines it all you choose you choose how you will receive the word of God will you receive it tonight with an open heart or you will you receive it tonight with a closed deer will your heart be open or will your ears be closed Acts chapter 19 let's see if we can see something here Acts Chapter 19 Verse number one are you still happy say Amen amen and it came to pass that while apalus was at Corinth Paul having passed through the upper Coast came to Ephesus finding certain disciples he said unto them have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed they said unto him we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost and he said unto them unto what then were you baptized they said and and they said unto John's baptism then said Paul John barely baptized with the baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Paul laid his hands upon them the Holy Ghost Came Upon them and they spake with tongues and prophesied and all the men all the men were about 12 brother Ericson would you like to teach a Bible study like that brother Nolan I came in the office tonight you're teaching a Bible study Brother Art snitcher you're probably watching tonight we're praying for sister Debbie too but brother snitcher you're probably watching tonight sister car you're a Bible study teacher would you not like to have a Bible study where you just walk in and say have y'all received the Holy Ghost since you believe and they' look back at you and say well we haven't heard whether there be any Holy Ghost and you would say back to them well then how were you baptized and they would say well we were baptized by John the Baptist and you would say well that baptism it had an expiration date and the expiration date for John the Baptist baptism was Calvary it inspired at Calvary and now people are baptized in the New Testament in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ the one who died for our sins for the remission of our sins and they would say wonderful baptize me and you baptize them and they come up out of the water and you lay your hand on them and not one of them gets the Holy Ghost not two of them gets the Holy Ghost not three of them gets the holy but all 12 of them start talking in other tongues now who wouldn't want a Revival like that tell you I would but you see it wasn't Paul's preaching that did it it was the receiving of the word of God let me show it to you where what verse did we end don't somebody tell me what verse we what verse did we end on huh Acts 19 and what seven okay did is that where we ended yeah that's where we ended verse what comes after seven that's what I thought and he went into the synagogue that's Paul and spake boldly for the space of three months now do you think it took Paul three months to teach that Bible study where 12 people got the Holy Ghost got baptized sound like to me sister car three minutes he goes and y y there verse eight and he went into the synagogue and spake boldly for the space of 3 months disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God so he goes preaches the same thing he preached to the 12 but when divers that means many were what hardened and did what but spake evil of that way before the multitude he departed from them and separated the disciples disputing daily in in the school of tanus and this continued and this continued by the space of two years so that they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus both Jews and Gentile now I read that whole thing there to say this you got a three minute Bible study where 12 get baptized and get the Holy Ghost you got a thre Monon teaching Revival and at the end of it many are hardened many believe not and many start speaking evil of the word what's the difference how they heard the word of God 12 received the Holy Ghost because they had an open heart to the word of God 12 went home with joy unspeakable and full of Glory 12 went home with their lives just gloriously changed but a multitude left with hard rock hard Hearts why the way they heard the word of God maybe tonight what you don't need is your favorite music played here at the church maybe what you don't need tonight is your favorite evangelist or Prophet telling you what you ate for breakfast and what your social security number is maybe what you need tonight is not a mo notable Miracle of somebody leaping out of a wheelchair but maybe what would adjust and what would correct everything about our lives tonight is how do I receive the word of the Lord am I sitting on the edge of my Pew tonight am I hear saying God God it's you that's keeping my life in line God it's you that's giving me the wisdom to order my steps God it's you that's keeping my marriage together God it's you that's giving me the joy oh Israel hear the word word of the lord it's interesting isn't it 12 get the Holy Ghost no disputing no arguing they just open their minds to the word of God John chapter 12 verse number 27 John 12 and verse 27 the Greeks had come and they had said s we want to see Jesus Philip and Andrew went to Jesus and told Jesus that the that the Greeks desire to see you when they told Jesus that the Greeks wanted to see him Jesus starts talking about dying and going to Calvary he starts talking about burial then he comes to verse 27 he's not even talking to the Greeks yet he comes to verse 27 he says to Philip and Andrew now is my soul troubled and what shall I say say father save me from this hour but for this cause came I unto this hour then Jesus begins to pray father glorify thy name then came there a voice from Heaven saying I have both glorified it and will glorify it again Philip and Andrew are standing there and Jesus starts praying father glorify thy name and all of a sudden a voice Came From Heaven the voice said I have glorified it and I will glorify it again but listen to that next verse the people therefore that stood by heard it and said that it thundered others said an angel spake to him what in the world there's a vast difference between the voice of an Angel and the sound of thunder so was it two different sounds absolutely not was it two different sounds they heard it was two different conditions of the heart no doubt there were enemies of Christ there were mockers of Christ were people that stood around him to catch him in a word try to trip him up and I submit to you to those when they heard I have glorified it and will glorify it again all they heard was Thunder all they heard was commotion but I believe there were people there that were hungry maybe the Greeks that desired to see Jesus and they heard and it was as the voice of an Angel oh I hope on this cold Wednesday night that you made your way to the house of God you made your way to the house of God I hope nobody under the sound of my voice is hearing thunder tonight I hope nobody under the sound of my voice is just hearing racket tonight I hope nobody under the sound of my voice that that the sound of my voice is as is like that annoying dog that continues to bark in the neighborhood and you wish somebody would shut him up I hope tonight that you're listening and saying oh I'm going to buy me a Bible oh I'm going to get my Bible you know I've not been B bringing my Bible to church like I ought to I've not been reading my Bible like I ought to I'm going to start studying the scripture because it is God's word it is God's word this is not an isolated thing that happened when Paul brother Hammond was converted on the Damascus Road Acts chapter 9 verse number three look at this with me as Paul or Saul is converted from being a Christian hater to being a preacher the Bible said and as he Journey he came near Damascus and suddenly there shined round about him a light from Heaven Paul fell to the Earth and he fell to the Earth Heard a Voice saying unto him Saul Saul why persecute thou me he said who art thou Lord the Lord said I am Jesus whom thou persecutest it is hard for thee to kick against the Pricks and he trembling and astonished said Lord what will thou have me to do the Lord said arise and go into the City and it shall be told thee what thou must do sound like a conversation doesn't it well it is but it's not a conversation between a hardened Saul a Christian hater and God it's a conversation between an humbled man who's laying on his back who knows that he's been he's been overpowered by God it's a man who's been overpowered and laying on his back you know sometimes when we won't listen to God on our feet he has a way of putting us on our back there's a lot of people that pay me no attention sitting on a church pew but I sure have got their attention when they're in the hospital now I'm not advocating God don't want you to go to the hospital but God don't want you lost either and I'm here to tell you whatever it takes for me to be saved God put me through it God if if I get too prideful if I get too big on my feet then God lay me on my back because I got to have the Living Word of God I've got to have God I hope you feel the same way that I do tonight I've got to have God's word he's a Christian killer he hates the church he hates Jesus Christ he believes he's a fraud he believes he's a phony and he's having people killed but when God lays him flat of his back and shines a great light in his face he begins to say who are you Lord and the Lord says I am Jesus and you're kicking against the prick and he says what will you have me to do Lord let me tell you that's that's another thing I can preach about right there when you're truly repented to God you're not telling God what you will do What You Won't Do you're just saying God what will you have me to do I I don't believe in the heart of any Christian tonight ought to be one thing that you're say well I'm tell you I'll never do that and I'll tell you I no no I believe it ought to be wide open God whatever you would tell me to do whatever you would tell me to do God would you would you lift your hands and give God praise and honor right now come on would you would you lift your voices up right now would you give him praise oh thank you Lord Lord we got to hear your word tonight here oh Israel we got to hear your word tonight we got to hear your word tonight God we got to hear your word tonight God verse number seven Acts chapter 9 verse number 7 Paul has had a conversation with the Lord he knows to get up and go in the city but while this conversation was going on there were men standing right there with Paul the Bible said in verse number seven and the men which journeyed with him stood speechless hearing a voice but seeing no man hearing a voice now I want you to notice something with me doesn't say they heard the conversation says they heard a voice they heard a voice well let's let's look at that word for a moment let's go over to Acts chapter 22 and verse number six where Paul is rehearsing his testimony he's rehearsing his testimony before a king and he says in Acts chapter 22 and verse number six it came to pass that as I made my journey and was come nigh into Damascus about noon suddenly there Shone from Heaven a great light round about me I fell unto the ground and heard a voice saying unto me sa sa why pers persecutest thou me and I answered who art thou Lord and he said unto me I am Jesus of Nazareth whom thou persecutest and they that were with me saw indeed the light and were afraid but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me and I said what will you have me do Lord I believe that Paul is giving here all they heard was a voice and not a conversation so all they heard was a voice and not a conversation because humility determines whether you hear a voice or just a conversation oh I would much rather know a conversation tonight I would rather I would rather much have a conversation can tell by the clock tonight I've got more scripture here and most of you are familiar with ezekiel's Boneyard ezekiel's Boneyard represented the spiritual condition of Israel it represented where they were at spiritually represented that they had once had life and because of their sinful ways they're laying in a bone in the graveyard with nothing but bones and when a person dies the last thing to decompose is their bones it's the last thing to be decomposed is their bones or their flesh their organs things like that decompose over a few months but it takes years it takes years for bones to decompose it takes years for bones to go back to the dust and I use that tonight I use that tonight to say this that God was saying to Israel as long as I can find you with just a bone if I can find you just a bone somewhere because the whole story really is about Ezekiel 37 verse number 11 just for time sake let's go directly there Ezekiel 3711 then he said unto me son of man these are the these bones are the whole house of Israel behold they say our bones are dried our hope is lost and we are cut off from our parts man what a what a what a depressed condition to be in Israel is saying there's no hope for us we ain't nothing but a bunch of Bones and we're separated at that we're not even we don't have structure anymore bones just bones that's all we are our hope is lost we're cut off verse 12 says therefore prophesy and say unto them thus sayith the Lord God behold oh my people I will open your Graves and cause you to come up out of your Graves and bring you into the land of Israel and you shall know that I am the Lord when I have opened your Graves oh my people and brought you up out of your Graves and put my spirit in you and you shall live and I shall place you in your own land and you shall know that I am the Lord that I the Lord have spoken it and performed it sayith the Lord God is saying don't don't say that you're lost don't say that you don't have any hope don't say that you're beyond help don't say that tonight no nobody in this building say that tonight I'm without I'm beyond help you are not beyond help God looked out at Israel and said you're saying you don't have any hope he said don't say that he said I'm able to put my spirit in you I'm I'm able to put Flesh on you I'm able to bring you up out of your grave I'm able to take you back to your land and we all say that's good but I read to you the last of the story and not where it all hinges and it's very familiar God said Ezekiel prophesy to these bones and say look at this oh you dry bones hear the word of the Lord God could not resurrect them and bring them out of the Grave sister white and give them hope and restore what they had lost until they were willing to hear the word of the Lord somebody under the sound of my voice tonight you have spoken those very words I am cut off I have no hope I am not living I am just existing I can't wait for my life to end I've messed up I'm 30 years old and I have thoroughly messed up my life I am coming tonight as a represent representative of Jesus Christ to tell you that you need to hear the word of the Lord you need to hear the word of the Lord you are not helpless you are not outside of the reach of the power and the Hand of the almighty God I am able to bring you up I am able to turn you around I wish somebody would help me praise him right now oh want you to stand with me right now and I don't know if I need to put just just drive a nail in this and take back off next week but there's power in words you hear me there's power in words do you realize that we're living in a day of the Prelude to the Antichrist there is now hear me now there is many Antichrist don't don't don't don't mistake that there are many Antichrist Spirits there will be one the Antichrist and the Antichrist spirits that we have in our world today twice in the Bible describes them the Antichrist spirits who was in the New Testament church that's still here today they are identified twice in the scripture by simply saying and these speaking great swelling words even our culture today trains its Executives you got to know how to communicate you got to know how to make the sale you got to know how to articulate the product you got to know skill you got to know how to put wording together and that's even in our Workforce and there's nothing wrong with that but I'm here to tell you just as the internet has a good side and an evil side communication can have a good side and an evil side and it all depends on what it's trying to sell there are great swelling words from Antichrist spirits today that butcher the church that butcher the way of Holiness that that cause that that that that that put such terms on us such as legalist legalist and can't help you over 30 years ago I heard that term as in an elevator I about take you to where I was at as in an elevator UT hospital and a man got on the elevator he recognized me and with disdain he said you're a legalist well I stood there for a minute I didn't want appear to be unimac and and so I I thought I'm a legalist well legal it's good I don't want I he could have called me an illegal legalist legal's good and us is more of I said well thank you I try my very best little did I know that that's some of that great swelling word conversation with people that want to mock the way we dress and the way we Act and the St standards of Holiness that we hold they want to take great swelling words you know why because the Bible simply states that they want to deceive unstable Hearts they will deceive unstable Hearts but the great battle of all battles will be held against the Antichrist and Jesus Christ and both of them have something to say about their mouth and the Bible says in the Book of Revelation brother Troy that to the Antichrist there was given to him a great mouth speaking great things it's why the Antichrist swayed the world he could articulate he could sell his product he knew how to do it he had great speaking words and he could he could rule and Reign but he only ruled in reain long enough for the Heavens to be split and our Lord and savior riding upon a white horse with many crowns on his head and a his vesture dipped in Blood and his name is called the word of God he's the king of kings and he's the Lord of lords and he's coming out of heaven and the Antichrist has got a great tongue but when you look at the one riding on the White Horse out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp two-edged sword and he smites all of the people there with that sharp two-edged sword coming out of his mouth and he puts to silence and the Antichrist is taken and bound with a chain and throw it in the bottomless pit and his great mouth is shut up but the one with the sharp sword in his mouth lives on forever and ever and ever and ever I'm glad to have I'm glad to have the word of God tonight could we just take a moment or two and magnify the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord come on aren't you glad for the word tonight aren't you glad for the word tonight the word's going to last longer than your trial the word's going to last longer than your mistak the word's going to bring you up and the word's going to bring you out and the word's going to oh thank God for the word come on lift your hands up come on lift your hands up tonight come on lift your hands up tonight we going we going to dismiss here in just a moment but will you thank God for the word will you thank God for the word come on some 20 some 20 students I met in the coffee shop today and I spoke to you the word of God would you students get your hands lifted and would you students begin to worship God tonight come on a weary businessman tonight would you get your hands lifted and can we worship here oh Israel here oh Israel here oh Israel come on praise him here isy God all across this house tonight is come on if you know the word of God is true there something you want to live by tonight could you just magnify The Giver of that word right now come on every promise is good in the book every promise
