you have your Bibles join me at Second Chronicles Second Chronicles chapter number seven and verse number 14. second chronicles chapter number seven and verse number 14. it'll be just in a moment it'll be on the screen and we can read this passage of scripture tonight I'm starting a brand new series tonight on If my people if my people Second Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14. God is speaking here If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their Wicked Ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land if you'd put your Bible down for just a moment join with me in prayer father I ask you tonight that you would give me the ability to teach your people Lord it is your will and your plan that through your word and the teaching of your word and the good way of your word God that it would affect our lives in our daily Walk with You Lord help me tonight to convey to the people on the power and the privilege of prayer that we all can do Lord I'll give you the praise and the honor and the glory in Jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated tonight thank you for standing in honor of the reading of God's word it's always best to understand scripture by knowing what the scripture is set in the context of Solomon has completed the house of worship for Israel of which of which we call Solomon's Solomon's Temple is what we call it Solomon's Temple several years ago when I was privileged to go to the Holy Land our true God one day asked me uh knowing that I was a a preacher a student of the word she said she said do you know where Solomon's Temple is at and I was thinking about pointing in a direction and she said no no no Solomon's temples were right here she did this right Solomon had just completed the house of worship of which we call after him Solomon's Temple they had just placed all of the furniture in the proper order and they had put the Ark of the Covenant set it up they had placed the altar in the wood the fire and they had thousands of thousands of sacrifices just ready just ready to be offered it was then in second chronicles 5 and 11 you get the scenery with me now because we're going to come all the way back around to that verse in scripture I started with If my people but in second chronicles 5 and 11 everything had been said in order it had been built the furniture had been placed the wood was on the Altar and the sacrifices were waiting to be offered and II Chronicles 5 and 11 it simply says this and it came to pass when the priests were come out of the Holy place for all the priests that were present were sanctified and did not then wait by course also the Levites which were the singers all of them of ASAP of human of Jennifer with their sons and their Brethren being arrayed in white linen having symbols and sultries and harps stood at the East End of the altar now I'm going to really preface that tonight because it's very important to know for the rest of the Bible study where all of these things are happening at they are happening at the altar we have the priests that have set up the Tabernacle they've come out of the Tabernacle we have the musicians that are on one side of the altar praising God and we have the priest on the other but I want to bring emphasis to this is happening at the East End Of The Altar and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets it came to pass it came even to pass as the trumpeters and singers were as one that's Unity to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the lord and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and symbols and instruments of music and praise the Lord saying for he is good for he is good Israel recognized that God was a good God for he is good for his Mercy endureth forever that then that then the house was filled with a cloud even the house of the Lord so that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud for the glory of the Lord had filled the house now I want you to get the scenery here I want you to get the scenery they've set up the temple they put the altar in its place they've got the wood ready to light the fire they've got animals standing waiting to be sacrificed but they first begin to praise God they first begin to worship God and some of the first words out of their mouths was for the Lord is good you know we need a revelation that he is a good god I don't believe we'll ever serve him very long if we don't see him as a good God I believe if we see him as an old task master or somebody that's wanting to make the class so hard I'll never pass I don't believe we'll ever serve God but I believe if we can get a revelation that he is a good god when you come to prayer you need to know you are praying to a good God not a reluctant God you are praying to a good God praise God his Mercy his Mercy you ever wondered why it says his mercy endureth forever why do you put Mercy besides enduring because the enduring has to do with you and I could I say his Mercy puts up with us forever his Mercy puts up with us forever his Mercy has to endure a lot of things from you you and I but I'm glad tonight to tell you his mercy endureth forever they were not expecting this but as they just got in unity saying the Lord is good and his Mercy endured forever all of a sudden the glory of God as a cloud came down and the glory of God the glory of God filled the temple now just get the scenery with me they're standing out in the courtyard at the altar they're at the altar and they're they're praising God and they're about to start sacrificing when all of a sudden the glory of God in a cloud comes down and just goes in and feels the Tabernacle now now the the temple now they possibly could have looked in and saw things inside the inner court but now the glory the glory of God came down and the glory of God has filled the temple now there's three things I want to leave you with tonight three things I want to bring to your attention about when the glory of God filled the temple is that first the glory of God field completely completely filled the temple completely feel the temple lift room the Bible says the priest could not enter to even minister because God had field the temple because when God feels something there's no room for man to get in God completely filled the temple that's the first thing I want to bring to your attention and the second thing I want to bring to your attention God said about this Temple Solomon's Temple he said I put my name in this Temple I put my name in this Temple II Chronicles 7 16. look at this closely with me II Chronicles 7 16 this is God speaking about the temple for now I have chosen and Sanctified this house that my name may be there forever and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually I got my eye on this house but I've also got my heart on this house but I have put my name in this house now what is it what has he done he has filled the house with his glory and his presence he has spilled the house with his glory and his presence and then he says I'm putting my name in this house but now the last thing the third thing that I want to bring to your attention he said this will now become a house of sacrifice second chronicles 12 or excuse me second Chronicles chapter 7 and verse number 12. and the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said unto him I have heard thy prayer I have chosen this place is House of God to myself for a house of sacrifice now let's look at these three things about Solomon's Temple it was full of the presence of God it was completely full of the presence of God it had God's name upon it and it was a house of sacrifice he was a Dwelling Place of sacrifice you soon begin to see that Solomon's Temple is Old Testament typology of when God became a man when God became a man you realize that Jesus Christ was God's house was God's Temple John Chapter 2 The Gospel of John chapter 2 verse number 18. Jesus has just cleansed the temple turned over tables driven the money changers out and they're standing around asking by what Authority do they die what gives you the authority to do this and in John chapter 2 verse number 18 then answered the Jews and said unto him what signs show us thou unto us seeing that thou doest these things what what you need to give us a sign of authority Jesus answered and said unto them destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up then said the Jews 40 and six years was this temple in building and Wilt there thou rear it up in three days but this spake he of the Temple of his body when therefore he was risen from the dead his disciples remember that he said unto them and they believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had said Jesus Christ God Jesus Christ was the temple of God just like Solomon's Solomon's Temple or Solomon's building that he built man built it became the house of God because God filled it the man Christ Jesus was the temple The Dwelling Place of the almighty of the almighty God somebody uh I I'm looking for this on my my notes tonight and I seem to have forgotten to put this down but I need somebody give me Colossians 2 and 8 on the screen Jesus Christ is is God's Temple um his name is upon Solomon's Temple and his name is upon Jesus Christ that name Matthew 1 and 21 what are we going to call this child what are we going to call this Temple what are we going to call this child and she shall bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins don't you see the parallel here Solomon's Temple had the fullness of God's presence dwelling in there had his name in there and was a place of sacrifice Jesus Christ Jesus Christ God's Temple he said destroy this Temple and in three days Colossians chapter 2. can you give me that verse Colossians chapter 2 and verse number verse number eight beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ give me verse 9 please for in him who for in him who is him Christ for in him dwelleth the fullness fullness fullness not part not one-third not one half not three quarters he didn't become God in his baptism he didn't become God at 12 years old he was God conceived in the womb of a woman and the man Christ Jesus was the Tabernacle of God Almighty and he was the fullness of the godhead bodily just as God put his name in Solomon's Temple God put his name on that Temple and he said Thou shalt call his name Jesus Solomon said my house shall be called God said I have chosen this house as a House of sacrifice Ephesians chapter 5 and verse number seven verse number two boy I hope you're enjoying this time I hope you're in you're enjoying this tonight half as much as I am I hope you I hope you just enjoyed it half as much as I am tonight Ephesians chapter 5 and verse number two and walk in love as Christ also hath loved us Christ also hath loved us and hath given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savior do you see the parallel there Solomon's Temple had three things had the fullness of God God's Cloud filled that that Temple it had it had God's name he said I'll put my name there and he said it'll be a place where sacrifices are performed Jesus Christ God's Temple was the fullness of the godhead bodily and it had God's name there Jesus said I got my name from my father I came in my father's name so my name is there and then Jesus Christ became the ultimate sacrifice for our sins you got the fullness of the godhead you got the name of Jesus Christ and you've got the sacrifices for our sin as it matches up there but let's not stop here you and I sit tonight the Church of God here you and I set tonight the Church of Jesus Christ when did we become the Church of Jesus Christ we became the Church of Jesus Christ in Acts chapter 2 and verse number one when did we become the Church of Jesus Christ and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord in one place now look back at the parallel when did the cloud fill the temple when the praisers and the singers were in one Accord brother name me the spirit of God filled Solomon's Temple and now we have it some years later hear these disciples on the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind and it filled all the house sounds like God doesn't it it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them clove and tongues like as a fire and it's set up on each of them and they were all filled filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance go all the way back to Solomon's Temple it's nothing but a man-made structure until that day they got in one Accord and God said I feel that man-made structure I'll put my name on that man-made structure and I will cause it to be a house of sacrifice Jesus Christ made of a woman made under the law to redeem them that are under the law God filled that vessel at conception it was conceived as God his name was there and at Calvary he became the ultimate sacrifice he became the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I could become his body here on this Earth and we are his body when we are filled with the Holy Ghost that's why you need to stay full of the Holy Ghost don't run on half full don't run on a quarter tank you gotta a fool of the Holy Ghost if you don't stay full of the Holy Ghost other things will start creeping and coming down inside of you and it'll become an obnoxious mixture of God and flesh Let's Stay full of the Holy Ghost First Corinthians 3 16 Bears this out Paul said to the Corinthian Church know ye not First Corinthians 3 16 know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you First Corinthians 6 19. now he's rebuking them here for their behavior and he starts out with what know you not that your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you which you have of God and ye are not your own for ye are bought with a price therefore now this is for these people that just say it only matters what's on the inside this verse is for you therefore glorify God glorify means to call attention to all right that's what it means to glorify God means to call attention to him when we praise God we're giving him glory when I say give glory to God I'm expecting you to get your hands up and get your mouth open and start saying Jesus I love you Jesus I praise you he says therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are gods it doesn't matter these people well it just matters what's on the inside no he said your body is my temple and I want you to glorify God in your body I want the way that you act I want the way that you talk I want the way that you interact with other people I want the way that you look I wanted to bring Glory and Honor I want you to I want it to bring glory and honor to me this one verse right here will help every man and woman when they go shopping for clothing ask yourself the simple question does this glorify God just saying well you back up to the mirror and look in the mirror and wonder how good this makes you look you need to ask yourself the question how good does this glorify God well let me go I'm talking about prayer tonight First Peter chapter First Peter chapter 2. verse number five ye also as living stones are built up the church are built up a spiritual house holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ now wait a minute Solomon's Temple had the glory of God filled it Jesus Christ was the fullness of the godhead bodily and the church is filled the Believers are bodily filled with the Holy Ghost and we become the temple of God here on this Earth but God not only put his spirit in Solomon's Temple Jesus wasn't just the fullness of the godhead bodily Jesus bore a god-given name where it is the church where does the church get the name of the Lord now go back to Colossians chapter 2 and verse number eight we'll read it again Colossians 2 and verse number eight speaking to the church beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily and you are complete in him which is the head of all principality and Power in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ the Old Testament the Old Testament God gave the Covenant of circumcision to Abraham he gave the Covenant of circumcision to Abraham and he told Abraham that it was a sign of a covenant it was an outward circumcision was an outward sign of a covenant between Abraham and his descendants God felt so strongly about the Covenant about the circumcision and about the sign that God said If a person would refuse to circumcise his child his male child if you would refuse to do that that child has broken the Covenant I no longer ambound to him to be the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob so he gave the circumcision to Abraham when Christ came and fulfilled all the law circumcision as a sign of the Covenant was done away with but there became a different sign that was symbolic to circumcision he says and I'll read verse number 11 again in whom also you the church are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands Abraham's circumcision took the hands of someone to perform this circumcision but this circumcision is made without hands in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ what is the circumcision of Christ buried with him in baptism wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God who hath raised him from the dead unto the Old Testament a child was not named until he was circumcised they received their name at circumcision you can find this in the gospel circumcision gave them their name before circumcision the child was not in Covenant with God when the child at eight days old it was eight days old was circumcised the child was then given the name we have no name we have no Covenant with God until we get his name and how do we get his name a circumcision made without hands buried with him in baptism that we take off The Old Man and the new man arises because our sins have been washed away thank God Solomon's Temple had the fullness of God's presence had the name of God and had a place of sacrifice Jesus Christ was the fullness of the godhead bodily had the name of God and was the ultimate sacrifice and the church we are full of the Holy Ghost and at baptism we have the name of Jesus given to us at baptism we have that name given to us but where's the sacrifice Romans 12 and 1. remember God said about Solomon's Temple it's a place of sacrifice Jesus Christ was the ultimate sacrifice and now in Romans 12 and 1 listen closely I beseech you therefore Brethren by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a Living Sacrifice holy acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service can I tell you something tonight we gave God a sacrifice when we came to his house to worship him tonight we gave him a sacrifice we could be at a thousand different places tonight but we said God we're going to sacrifice our time and we're going to go and take our families and we're going for midweek Bible study and when we got here we just we when we got here the sacrifice didn't stop when the singing started people begin to lift their hands they begin to open their mouths they begin to pray they begin to offer up sacrifices I love you Lord I Praise You Lord your wonderful Lord You're Beautiful Lord you're good Lord and that's offering up sacrifices is unto God thank you Jesus now now let's having said all that I hope I have prepared you to understand you're ready for prayer you're ready you're ready for prayer you're full of the Holy Ghost you've got his name and you're ready to sacrifice you're ready to pray prayer is an outward sign of our faith that we believe in our God prayer is an outward sign of our faith we believe in our God the lack of prayer is an outward sign of a lack of faith in our God when we pray we believe God hears and he does praise God he does anybody ever got a prayer answered sure you have sure we've all had prayers answered now sometimes they've not been answered like we sent the Christmas list off to him but she ever live you've lived long enough to know what the what the fellas saying one time or what was the sermon I thank God for prayers he didn't answer because you look back and you you see that God knows far more than what we what we know back to the altar second um Chronicles chapter six verse number 12. now the glory of God the glory of God Has Fallen people have laid on their faces and second chronicles 6 and 12 and Solomon in verse 12 and he stood before thee altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands where is he at again where is he at again they're around the altar where's all this action happening at you want some you want some action in your life get around the altar you want some action in your life you want your you want the atmosphere of your home to to be changed put a family altar in it instead of having a family entertainment center have a family altar have family prayer time Saturday you'll start you you start changing the atmosphere of your home he stood before the altar I hope you see this tonight he stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands but Solomon had made a Brazen scaffold of five cubits long and five cubits Broad and three cubits high and it's set into the midst of the court and upon it he stood and knelt knelt down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands toward heaven I'm going to stop right here and tell you Solomon is the leader of Israel Solomon is the leader of Israel now a lot of our children are out of here tonight we are moms and dads and grandparents we're the leaders we're the leaders Solomon is the leader of Israel and Solomon knows the power of leadership if you want the people to do a certain thing don't tell them show them it's better to show your children how you want them to behave then to tell them show them so you know what Solomon did he built a scaffold many of you Builders are familiar with scaffolding he built something that he could be Elevate he built him an elevated platform and he climbed up on this elevated platform and when he got up on that elevated platform that put him above the people that put him above the people but he didn't build the platform so everybody could could see him but he built it so they could see how he worshiped and when he got up on that elevated platform he knelt down and when he knelt down on his two knees he raised both of his hands to heaven you know what Solomon is doing he's doing what good leaders do I'm not going to tell you to pray I'm going to show you how to pray Solomon said I'm not going to tell you how to worship God I'm going to show you how to worship God because worship and prayer is not for the new people coming in and once you pay your dues you don't have to pray or worship anymore hogwash on that business worship and prayer is for everyone if you've been in the church 80 years and you can Worship You Need To Worship if you want to if you want to affect your family be a be an example of worship build your build your Scaffolding in your home and show your children This Is How We Do It can you worship him right now praise God can you worship Him it'll turn your life around it'll it'll turn you around it'll turn your family around so somebody be a model of worship praise God be be a model of worship tonight Solomon built that scaffold he stretched his hands in verse 14 and said O Lord God of Israel there is no God like thee in the Heaven Nor in the Earth which keepeth Covenant and showeth mercy unto thy servants that walk before thee with all their hearts thou which has kept with thy servant David my father that which thou has promised him and spakest with thy mouth and has fulfilled it with thy hand as it is this day now therefore O Lord God of Israel keep with thy servant David my father that which thou has promised him saying there shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel yet so that thy children take heed to walk to way to walk in my law as thou has walked before me let me stop that verse 16 and tell you something Universe thing Solomon said God you keep your Covenant God you keep your Covenant God has never broken his law God has never broken his word if you won't go if you want guidance in this dark day find you scripture and pray those scriptures if you feel alone you need to get hold of scriptures that say I will never leave you nor ever forsake you God always keeps his word he don't keep his word most the time some of the time God keeps his word all the time he is a god whose promise is have never have never failed he comes down to verse 18. I'm just gonna I'm gonna skip around through here verse 18. Solomon says to God but will God in very deed dwell with men on the Earth behold the Heaven and the heaven of Heavens cannot contain thee how much less this house which I have built in other words it Dawns on Solomon it Dawns on Solomon that he may have the fullness of God but he don't have all of God there it Dawns on it Dawns on Solomon it it Dawns on him that God you are you are so vast God you are so vast and I I have built I have built you a house and then verse 19 he says have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant and to his supplication oh my oh Lord my God to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee now he gets right down to it on why he has a house why he built God a house he built God a house because man needs a place to pray he needs a place that God will look upon and that God will hear the prayer that is prayed where his name is recorded so he just he just gets right down to it and he says God we have built this house for a house that when we look at closely verse 19 to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee as two types of praying there's praying and boy there's times your back's against the wall you're going to cry out to God they're just times when when you just got to cry out to God you you have uh let's say in your automobile you're able to you're able to to keep up with the traffic at at 60 60 miles per hour but let's say you need to pass and and you come around I I I I and I'm probably way off base here I don't know if cars still have this and I'm sure some of the mechanics will tell but they used to have a passing year remember that had a pass in here and uh you'd get out and you want to pass somebody and you push down an accelerator and it would kick in it was a passing year you know my prayer has a passing gear when I'm just going through the normality of life and the sun is shining and things are normal kids are well bank is good all of this everything's going good I I have a maintenance prayer I keep a good relationship with God but when things start falling apart when things just start falling apart in my life aren't you thankful you have a passing gear aren't you glad that I can not only come and just Lord I Thank You Lord I Praise You Lord You're a good God Lord I Thank you there's times you've got to come and say God I need your help God I need I know God I need some help Lord God my life is falling apart God I'm battling depression God of my marriage is falling apart God I need some help my children are getting out of church God I need some help aren't you glad you got a time like that that you can cry out to God oh Hallelujah to God oh Hallelujah to your heart he said I I built me a house I can either pray or I can cry to you in this house verse 20. verse 20 that Thine Eyes thank the Lord that thine eyes may be open Upon This House day and night upon the place wherewith thou has said that thou wouldest put thy name there to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth before that he said I've built Solomon's Temple I built Solomon's Temple I put my name there I filled it with my glory and I put my name there but my eye is always up on that house day and night my eyes never off the place where my name is at I don't know about you but that makes me feel real good that day and night God's always got his eye up on we don't have to set up an appointment several years ago I had a doctor's appointment brother or I had an appointment to go to the doctor and that early that morning the nurse called me and they said you we've got to we we've got to cancel your appointment today said the doctor is sick can I tell you something you don't have to have an appointment with him you can be sick and they can tell you well we can check your heart rate out two months from now well we can get you in oh you're having a hard time breathing it's the month of January you're you're hardly breathing we can I think we can slide you in around April I think we can get you in oh you've got something wrong with your heart well I think we can get you back here two weeks later just really take it easy all of that can I tell you something that would frighten me but when it comes to our God and we've got his name day or night 24 7. we can call out you better use your opportunity why don't you use your opportunity you can't sleep get to praying you're troubled in your mind just begin to pray God here it is three o'clock in the morning and I can't go to sleep but you are all together lovely I praise your name God I magnify your name God lord I know your hand is upon me and I know that no weapon formed against me will prosper and I know God you got everything in your hand and I'm gonna make it all the way oh come on that ought to make a Deadman shelf right there that ought to make a dead man get up and shout right there hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah this is how you're going to overcome things in your life hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah well let me hurry on let me hurry on he says in verse 21 hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant and of thy People Israel which Thou shalt make which which they shall make toward this place hear hear thou from thy Dwelling Place even from heaven and when thou herest forgive boy Solomon just really told us didn't he you know he he said anytime you interact with heaven be ready to go to him and ask for forgiveness forgive if a man sin against his neighbor and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear and the oath come before thine altar in this place then hear thou from heaven and do and judge thy servants by requiting the wicked by recompensing his way upon his own head and by justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness now he's the first thing he said he said the Altar and the house of God is for people that can't get along that's right he said here if two people disagree it's word for word it's it's his word against my word you have to take it before the judge and you have to take it before an oath in the temple he said God when these when these two men take an oath he said God you know the truth and you go ahead and pay the wicked and pay the righteous you you know can I tell you when life hasn't treated you fair will balance the scales when life has it when you've been done unfairly don't quit going to church that's the that's the that that that's the craziest thing you could ever do is to quit going to church somebody do you wrong and we smack God in the face don't stop doing that can I tell you something if you've done wrong if you've been done wrong keep on praying and God will even the scales God will make it all right God will bless you God will give you more than you deserve got to put a blessing on your life a Praying Church is a church that gets alone I didn't say a Praying church is a church that doesn't have any trouble because we're going to have trouble because we're flesh but I pray in church gets along because somebody we need to resurrect an old term from the from 30 or 40 years ago we pray through what do you mean by pray through we pray through the problem we pray through the issue we used to call it did you pray through what are we saying I had a mountain I I was struggling but I prayed through I had a situation but I prayed but I prayed through well time is time has just got me tonight Time's Got Me Tonight um Solomon prays and he goes into a lot of prayers here and and he goes into a lot of ifs if if the people go to war if the if the people sin against you he goes into a lot of ifs if this if we do this and then he he comes to the end of the if and he says but if they'll pray and call on your name he goes in chapter six he talks about if the people because of sin be carried away into a Strange Land but if if it's filled with ifs if you just go through the highlighter and Mark in chapter six at Mark in chapter six uh with your highlighter every time they say if if if but if they get in that Strange Land and if they begin to turn their head they begin to turn their faces back to to thee then you'll hear and it's just a it's just a bunch of if this happens they do this and then in Chapter 7 after Solomon had ended his prayer and the glory of God he ended his prayer and he said put the animals on the sacrifice on the Altar and they put him on the Altar and Solomon ended his prayer and fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice but then in second Chronicles chapter seven verse number 12. see you don't pray to God what God won't talk to you hear me you pray to God and God will talk to you Solomon had spent a lot of time praying and in chapter 7 verse 12 and the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said unto him I have heard thy prayer and I have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice if if if I shut up the heaven that there be no rain or if I command the Locust to Devour the land or if I send pestilence among my people If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves you got Pride you want you won't pray but if listen God knows how to break the knees of the prideful he knows listen you're either going to talk to God on your knees or you're going to talk to God on your back I'd much rather talk to God on my knees than talk to God God loves you too much God loves me too much to let us walk the road of Pride and and go far from him and so if we don't humble ourselves he'll humble us he says if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their Wicked Ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land now my eyes shall be opened and my ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place for I for now have I Chosen and Sanctified this house that my name may be there forever and mine eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually old church can I tell you that when we as the house of God bend down beside our bed or our Lazy Boy or wherever we have an altar in our home and we begin to lift our hands and we begin to say God I need your help God I need you to help me in this situation God looks down and and he sees a house that his fullness is in he sees a house that his name is in and he sees a house that has given him sacrifice and he said his eye and his ear is always open oh this morning at 6 30. when we get in here some that are early risers get in here and we begin to pray everything in our flesh says what are you doing here what are you doing here people walking around praying walking because if they kneel down they might go to sleep they're walking and talking and clapping their hands and now listen we might laugh at that but you know that's Bible the Bible talks about the priests that had the night shift the priest that had the night shift and the Bible said bless the Lord oh ye that watch by night in the house of the Lord that you stand and lift up your hands in the Holy place if you're a night shift priest the last thing you want to do is try to set down you go to sleep sitting down but them night shift priests oh brother Marshall they did some walking through the Tabernacle you know why they're trying to stay awake I'm working the night shift so I'm going to stay away and I'm gonna lift I'm gonna lift my hands and praise God do you know that when we're in here doing all of that and to the world it might look ridiculous but there's a God that says not only do I honor the vessel that's doing the praying but I honor this edifice that they have built they have built me a house and it's exclusively for the worship of the one true God it's for exclusively for the worship of Acts 2 38 and the apostles Doctrine don't have a singing group call me we want to rent your building and we're going to sell tickets and we can give you fifteen thousand dollars if you'll let us rent your building and bring all of these less than true filled singing groups no sir our Auditorium is not for rent it's exclusively used for the name of Jesus it's exclusively used for that it's a half you can't tell me God doesn't honor that conviction and God says that's my house they've held that house go ahead stand with me right now stand with me right now I don't know more check Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah now I want to end with this I want to end with this this morning in my prayer time here I started reading that verse If my people were called by my name shall humble themselves and seek my face as never before I saw that face there and as if God was saying I want the people to seek my personality I want them to seek what I'm like and I and I began just to linger in that for a moment God is love God is love God is love and if God is love and he wants me to seek his face then I'm going to be somebody that's going to love everybody if you listen you're going to have to work hard to make making make an enemy here you you're going to have to you're going to have to work you're going to have to work real hard and you know what there's a lot of things that you can stop me from doing you can stop me from shaking your hand if you don't want to meet me in one of the aisles you can get out of here before I got time to get a hold of you all right Pro Bishop told one night there was somebody kept Lee he's trying to get he's trying to to love on one of the Saints and they had kind of got their feelings hurt a little bit and all that and he said that person kept getting out of church he said they now run over me one night in the parking lot I I almost got run over you know you might can do that you might can do that but there's one thing you can't stop me from doing you can't stop me from loving you you can't stop us from loving when folks the move of God that I'm wanting to see in our church is not a move of God we're all the men are running the aisles and all the women are shouting their hair down they just hold up we've almost seen that that's the Revival we're praying we're just praying for a Revival where everybody's shouting I guess this morning in prayer I begin to talk to the Lord and I asked him to give God I said send us a Revival where everybody loves one another send us a Revival where everybody loves one another it's a Revival where we prayed over hurt feelings we've prayed over being offended pray God give us a Revival Lord that that we're above getting our feelings hurt God send us a Revival where we just love one another did any of you imagine Jesus ever saying this I don't know there's just something about that man I don't like somebody said ouch I started praying this morning God I'd give listen if listen yes I'd like everybody to shout but far more than everybody shouting I want everybody to love one another so why don't we just take a minute I got two minutes to the sacred cow hour of nine why don't we put our hand over on somebody and just pray with them right now father in the name of the Lord Jesus God God I can't reach all the way back there to brother and sister Purdue but God I pray for them right now in the name of the Lord God I pray for them I pray for their children tonight God I pray for their Ministry God God I pray for them God tonight in the name of the Lord I pray for brother Matt Sister Mary and I God I pray over them right now God I pray Lord they receive the love that I have for them God I I pray God that they receive that right now God lord I can't I can't reach all the way to Art Schnitzer and Debbie tonight but God I love them with the love of the Lord God I I love them right now with the love of the Lord oh God In The Name of tonight oh God let love Triumph in this church Lord God let love be all through the daycare workers Lord God let love be all through the school teachers God Lord let love God be all through the seniors and the Juniors and the sophomores God let there be no bullying God in the school God let love God be at Avalanche table God let love God be in every group Lord God I rebuke the spirit of clicks God I rebuke the spirit God that would that we would want to get segregated Lord God I rebuke that because Lord we love one another tonight God we love one another tonight Jesus Lord we love one another tonight God lord many Waters cannot quench love God many Waters cannot drown live Lord love is a fire god that burns oh God in the name of Jesus Lord Lord in the name of Jesus God I pray Lord thank you tonight for this Bible Lesson God thank you tonight Lord for the people that are coming to prayer thank you for the people that are waking up and praying in their homes Lord thank you God for the spirit of prayer that's moving all over this church and God for keeping us Lord father bring us back lord in the morning at 6 30 and Friday morning God bring us back Sunday safe and with a visitor with us ready to hear the word of God we give you praise and honor tonight in Jesus name we pray amen and amen God bless your church you dismissed
