Psalms 101 Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord All Ye Lands serve the Lord with gladness come before his presence with singing know ye that the Lord he is God it is he that hath made it us and not we ourselves we are his people and the Sheep of his pasture enter into his gates with Thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name for the Lord is good his Mercy Everlasting and his truth endureth to all Generations that's the Old Testament that's the Old Testament David let's read the New Testament Paul 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 and verse number 18 1 th Thessalonians 5 verse number 18 are you thankful this morning are you thankful this morning in everything give thanks for this is the will of God God in Christ Jesus concerning you for a title this morning church I simply want to preach on this subject in everything give thanks in everything give thanks father I love you thank you today for this privilege to preach to your people Lord you said to Peter if you love me you'll feed my sheep now father today help me to feed your people have come Lord these people that have gathered that have entered the courts and the gates with praise and thanksgiving Lord help me this morning to minister the word of God on the subject of being thankful in Jesus name I will give you praise today I know as never before God as never before I need you in Jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated today thank you for standing in honor of the reading of the word of God scripture tells us that we are fearfully and we are wonderfully made in other words us and all of our our our organs our our heart our lungs our kidneys our brains our muscles everything about the human body is fearfully and wonderfully miraculously made because we know today that man is not the product of evolution we know today that man is not the product of a cosmic Collision we know today that man is not the product of evolving from monkeys and apes I told somebody I'm going to see King Jesus not King K we are fear fearfully and miraculously made there is a chemical in our brain called dopamine and when research is done or was done on this we find that giving and gratitude helps dopamine in your brain dopamine is a natural pain reliever matter of fact dopamine has been proven to improve sleep um dopamine is that area of your brain that is released when you have feelings of pleasure and satisfaction motivation but I've come to tell you this morning that scientists have now proven that being thankful being grateful finding things that give you pleasure in being thankful for those things actually affects the development of more dopamine inside of your body and so when I I read across that I thought how marvelous that is today and we see the need to be ever so thankful because there's a lot of things in this world that we could be negative about and I I know a lot of people that the only time they're positive is when they're positively negative about something all right but when we begin to look upon the good side of life and God is on the good side of life all of a sudden we just begin to say Thank you Lord I Thank you for this God I thank you for what you have done and what you're doing in our lives this first Sunday in November is the month of which holds a day that we call Thanksgiving Thanksgiving is in the month of no November but when we go back to the origin of Thanksgiving this first Sunday of the month that I want to kind of direct us toward Thanksgiving that very first Thanksgiving there is a man by the name of Edward Winslow who wrote in a diary in 1621 about the first Thanksgiving the first Thanksgiving that took place he writes a long list and he tells how the governor uh sent men out to bring uh uh foul uh into uh and that's I believe that's probably where we got the turkey from and and he he writes in there and talks about how much foul came in and he writes and tells how the uh the Native Americans there how that they brought deer and there was deer meat there and there was turkey and it was a great time they had just received the first harvest of their corn and they were very uh jubilant they were they were excited they were happy but he writes in the diary and this is one thing that caught my attention that I would like to share with you he says this was 16:21 he says and although it be not all always so plentiful in other words he said the food that was brought in we've not always had it this good it's not always been this way we've not always had this amount he says and although it be not always so plentiful so as it was at this time with us yet by the goodness of God we are so far from want that we often wish you part Akers of our plenty now I don't know about you if if we can sink our teeth into that statement he made we are so far removed from want that we want to share our abundance we want to share our abundance of Plenty with others we are so far from want that's the thing that got a hold of me in every everything give thanks we are so far from want now as American citizens we are blessed but as God's children we are abundantly blessed as a matter of fact the blessings that come with being a child of the Living God far far far exceeds the blessings of an American citizenship I'm here today to tell you we are so far away from want and blessed with plenty that we want to share what we've got with others that are around us give the Lord a hand of Praise right now we are so far from want we are so far from want let just share something with you as Americans as far as money is concerned when we begin to look at the average wage and the annual income of others such as our neighboring country to the South Mexico the average monthly wage in Mexico the average monthly the average monthly wage bringing the highest to the high and the lowest to the low and making an average is $900 a month in India in India the average annual income in India is $2400 a year I dare say today all of us here as Americans and I I mean this the way that I want it to sound if you can work it's God's will for you to work if you can work it is God's will for you to work work is good work is good now I know there may be some that are physically unable to work and you have to depend upon other means for an income we get that we understand that and we're thankful that that is here for you but if you can work you need to work it's good work work is good and we live in a great country that gives us great opportun unities of which we ought to be thankful for today that's why people want to come to this this country they're not coming to this country for our Beauty they're not coming for the Grand Canyon they're not coming for our redwoods they're not coming for the beaches that we have many of them have some of the same in their country they're coming here today because America is baptized in Opportunity we have great provisions and great opportunities we have great Provisions but my prayer this morning for myself my church my family the church I Pastor is to realize that just to realize just how blessed we are not only because we are American citizens but because we're Children of the most high God we realize how blessed we are as God's children nobody will have to cheerlead us to praise if we realize how blessed we are as God's children we will be not only stronger spiritually we will even have better health when we realize just how blessed that we are to be God's children you know I think today that my my issue here that I'd like to jump on and just really try to wear it out is that we have become confused and disillusioned about what is a need and what is a want we become disillusioned we think our wants are our needs and when we have our wants your wants will run crazy your wants will lead you to your destruction because anything you've ever wanted will not fulfill that god-given empty place that's inside of your heart nothing you'll ever acquire no amount of Fame no amount of Fortune no matter no no no matter what you get in this life will ever make you satisfied it is not your want that you need to be in in in interested in today it is your need that you need to look at this morning your need well Paul said it this way if you join me in Philippians chapter 4 and verse number 10 and I believe by these uh short verses that I'm going to read you're going to understand why we believe in giving to missions the while we believe in helping those in other countries especially poverty stricken countries we believe in helping them because not just so that they have their belly full yes that's part of it not just so they have a well that they can come and get water from but we use that opportunity that they're hungry to feed them with the Real Living Word of God the truth of God's word so this is actually a letter Philippians 4:10 Paul is writing a letter let me give the background for a moment Paul is writing a letter to the Philippians a church about how they communicated with him in in giving him the ability finances to be able to preach the gospel look at verse number 10 of chapter 4 but I rejoice in the Lord greatly Paul says that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again wherein you also were careful you were mindful of me but you lacked an opportunity not that I speak in respect of want now watch that word there want he said I'm not talking about I in respect of want for I have learned in whatsoever State I am therewith to be content he said I've just learned that wherever I'm at in life whatever is going on in my life I have learned to be content I know how to be a base I know how to abound everywhere in in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry both to abound and to suffer need now he says I have I have learned that whatever if if if I'm being if I'm being pushed down by people or if I'm being lifted up by people Paul said I've just learned how to live in all these different environments if I'm hungry I know how to live if I'm full I know how to live how can you do this Paul how can you be content in whatever season of life that you're in verse 13 gives the answer I can do all things through Christ with strengthen of me can I tell you today your need is not your want your need is to make sure that you're leaning on the Everlasting faithful Arms Of God almighty our our our goal here today what we're driven with as a church brother Erikson what we're driven with as a church brother Hammond is to get people in a relationship to get them in a relationship that they understand no car no home no husband no wife no perfect Mayberry surroundings at your community is ever going to take the place of you knowing I have the Lord Jesus Christ and if I have the Risen Savior on the inside of my life I can do all things oh come on give him some praise for that today I can do all things verse 14 not withstanding ye did you you have well done that ye did communicate with my Affliction now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the Gospel when I departed from maced IA no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving but ye only he said you know in the beginning you were the only ones helping me out not that I desired a gift look at verse 17 not that I desire a gift but I desire fruit that may abound toward your account he said I wasn't just want an offering for the sake of having an offering he said I wanted I wanted you to support me so that I could go preach so that you could have fruit now imagine that today when we're giving to our missionaries around the world it's just not a one-way trip that way God somehow brings the fruit back to us because when we hear in another country that a 100 receive the gift of the Holy Ghost it's the same as merville receiving 100 getting the Holy Ghost when we receive when we receive from Africa from the continent of Africa hundreds being baptized and hundred hundreds of churches turning over their faith they didn't they didn't have the fullness of Truth they didn't have the fullness of the word of God but somehow a missionary got there and gathered three or 400 pastors together and they all came to the revelation of who Jesus is and what name he to be baptized in and all those congregations turned over it's not just the missionary it's that the First Apostolic church that helped that missionary it comes right back around to us and we have have fruit just follow this with me for a few moments just just just follow this with me for a few moments now he says Verse 18 is where I left off but I have all but I have all and abound I am full having received of epher oitis that's a a brother that was working with Paul the things which were sent from you an odor of a sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable well pleasing to God now watch this next verse because this is what we get this is what we get when we try when we realize what that man realized in 1621 we have plenty we have plenty look around here look around your family look around your house we have plenty we have plenty and it's God's will that we share our plenty with those that are in need because after we share our plenty look at what happens to us in verse 19 why don't we read it all together as a congregation but my God shall supply all your need according to his riches according to his riches by Jesus Christ look at that whatever you have need of whatever you have need of my God shall supply all of of your need according to his riches in glory you'll never exhaust his riches in glory do you realize today this ought to put a smile on your face this ought to put a hand clap with you this ought to cause your toe to start tapping a little bit today when you realize that the god you Embrace and the god that you serve and the god that goes with you today and the god that stays with you today is able to supply all of your need well will he ever run out well will will will he ever run out can I tell you something today if I brought a water hose in here and I filled up a glass of water and I started giving water to everybody today I started filling up glass of water sister Tharp I gave you a glass and took the water hose filled up another glass and I I I gave brother Wimberly I gave you a glass and I kept filling up the glass is the source all right that's the source of it but the water hose hooked to the plumbing hooked to the water supply in mville is the resource The Source may run dry but the resource never runs dry our cup sometime will be empty but aren't you thankful you're serving a good shepherd and you will say my cup runneth over there will never be a time that God does not meet your need for my God shall supply all your Lord have mercy I'm might call the choir back up a minut I got to thank you on my lips I got to thank you on my heart when I don't know the words I just make them up you see today that last verse of my text Psalms 100 verse5 I wish you read it with me I wish you'd read it with me for the Lord is what I said for the Lord is everybody say stop all right you you see those movies in the telegraph days I'm not going to say we live there you see those movies they'll tap tap tap stop and they'll say something stop that stop so we going we're going to do Telegraph right here let's say it again stop his Mercy is Everlasting stop and his truth endureth to all generations look at those three things number one get it in your heart God is good why wouldn't you want to serve him why would would you want to serve him you see I believe a lot of people they just need to we need to preach to them the goodness of God CU why wouldn't you want to serve God if we can get this community to understand God is good God is good we get people to understand God is good I can't help but believe they wouldn't want to serve him well who would want to show up to worship God at this church today when they understand you know God is good tell God God is good I mean we'll go to a restaurant CA they got good food I believe we'll come to a church because they preach a good God I'm preaching a good God today that whatever season you find yourself in you can turn around and say you know what he's a good God man I got I got Health in my body he's a good God man I got some pain up under my arm the doctor says I got a mass under here he's a good God I'm going through some treatments I know we got we got people here diagnosed with cancer that are that are currently right now taking treatment for cancer but but in the midst of it all when you understand my want is to live but my need is to my God and I can say God God God is good women here today that's lost the hair on the top of their head because of a treatment can stand and say God God is still God is still good I can say he good when I got money I can say it's good when I don't have money I can say it's good when the economy is good I can say it's good one the come on I'm preaching a good God to you today I don't mean to B burst anybody's bubble today I I don't mean to burst anybody's bubble today but sometimes as the economy goes That's How Some of things go in our businesses if you don't believe that God called for a drought upon on the land of Israel did he take care of the Prophet I'm sure he did sure he did he told him to go down by a brook and Ravens would feed him Ravens would feed him there and he did and God took care of him but because of no rain the Bible says the brook dried up one minute now that that's where that's where the prophet's at the brook can't dry up where the prophet's at oh yes the brook can dry up but just because the Brook drives up doesn't mean God doesn't have other places for you to go I got a widow that will sustain you I got I got this I'm going to move you from here to there so as the economy goes no some of you Builders today some of you business owners today live in the land of reality as the economy goes up sure your business can can flourish and as the economy comes down you cannot have as much business as you used to have you get that don't ever when you don't have the business you used to have don't ever blame God don't don't don't ever blame God because your Brook can dry up but you need to realize what makes me different than anybody else is I've got a resource that never runs dry I said I've got a resource that never runs dry when some people all they've got a source that's all they're living out of the economy is just giving them the source their resource is the economy but when their resource dries up we have another resource that can't dry up we got another resource that's Wall Street Wall Street does not have a hand on we oh I ain't preaching this morning we got we we've got another resource today oh yeah yeah let me keep on my assignment this morning for God is good stop for his Mercy for his Mercy is Everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations number one God is good the Lord is good I know it's Elementary but let's just say it today for the Lord is say it again the Lord is good for the Lord is good thanks and praise are right in connection of God's good goodness God is good in his plans he is good in his strength he is good in his forgiveness he is good in his Covenant God is good in every aspect of his being God is good well you know I wasn't planning on this I wasn't planning on burying child but God is good I wasn't planning on cancer but God is good wasn't planning on bankruptcy but God is good wasn't planning on going through a divorce you hear me today but God is good you ever been to a place to where you have to look at yourself in the mirror and say how did I get here my God we're in a nightmare how did we get here I want I want to wake up I want to pinch myself we're in this horrible nightmare but in the midst of reality we have to step out of the Nightmare and say God is good the bad is not my resource God is my resource and in one Earthly cup I might be empty but in the other Heavenly cup it just keps running over and running over and running over and running over why because God is good if that doesn't make you want to do something if that doesn't make you feel good if that doesn't make you want to say you know what this is not as bad as it this is not as bad as I think it is because God man I I feel my doine coming on right now God is good God is good say it again with me God is good God is good but wait a minute Romans 8:28 Romans 82 28 and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God and to them who are the called according to his purpose now it's not all things work together for good period you got to qualify for it that's why I'm here all things work together for good to them that that love God and to them who are called according to his purpose God's purpose is that the Plan of Salvation wraps around this globe God's purpose is that man receives the only message and The Only Name that can change his life God's plan is to take his blood that was shed and his name that was given and his plan that was given and let every human being have an opportunity to hear about the blood and the name and the plan and that is God's purpose all things don't work together good period Humanity you're you're a human all things are going to work together for your good not so they only work together when you love God and when you are a part of something that is reaching his world with The Only Name the only blood and the only plan is a matter of fact we are blessed financially not so that we can hoard it up but we are blessed that so we can keep reaching and reaching and reaching and reaching and God we're not only we're not only sending out we're not only of this local church sending out uh finances right now brother art snitzer and and we'll be talking about this a little later but uh he a few years ago got in touch with some hungry people on the continent of Africa and through the internet through the zoom he began to teach them and he's been there I think a couple of times and he's baptized and he's discipled them and he's now a recognized representative missionary with the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ so we're not only sending out funds now we're raising up people out of this church that are going and that are reaching uh Becca berc uh Becca berc well she not berc yeah thank you I hear that coming from the Hispanic side of our church today she marries an Apostolic boy whose dad's a missionary in Mexico and now Becca is Becca Rodriguez and right now probably this morning somewhere in the country of Mexico is a little girl that grew up in this church a little girl that came through Sunday school and a little little girl that came through Strong Tower and a little girl that was baptized here filled with the Holy Ghost here she is now speaking Spanish and she is ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ I got news for you I don't care what we go through for we know that all things work together for good to them that love I just wish somebody would shout this morning I just wish somebody would shout right now that's the church I want to be that's the place I want to be boy you know that all things work together for good to them that love God and who are called according to his purpose verse 29 for whom he did Forno God knew the church in eternity that's why you you need to make sure you're in the church the body the Ecclesia for whom he did for another he also did predestinate now now listen to me real quick the church did not come into being 2,000 years ago at Pentecost the church was God's plan in eternity it was just manifested 2,000 years ago just like God becoming flesh you know he didn't become flesh 2,000 years ago in bethlehem's manger he had become flesh in his plan that was was before the foundation of the world look at this God here today for whom he did for no he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the first born among many Brethren now he says I I fornew you I predestinated you to look just like you're looking right now I I predestinated you to be a Holiness Church I predestinated you to be a distinct Church a separate church he says in verse number 30 moreover whom he did predestinate them he also called and whom he called them he also Justified and whom he justified them he also glorified just to make it simple the call was the preaching the call was when you heard the preaching of the Gospel that's the call if you answered the call he justified you justification is simply this when you repent and you are baptized in his name in water you receive justification and justification is just as if I had never sin the Born Again message is the greatest restart Humanity has ever received when we are given the opportunity I didn't say reform we don't reform siners we reborn that's the Plan of Salvation And when we are reborn we walk in a spirit just as if I had never sinned if I was a murderer before I was born again in God's eyes I'm no longer a murderer whatever sin I might have committed in God's eyes it's just as if I had never sinned it is sin that weighs man down it is sin that causes man to have a poor self image of himself but let me get him in Jesus if I can get him in Jesus and them he justified he also what so end verse number 30 glorified that's the change of the Rapture that's the change from this body to a Heavenly Body verse 31 what shall we say then to these things we ought to read this together if say it you know it sounds to like we're a bunch of monks in a cave somewhere if God be for us can be against us come on get your religious voice out of that if God before us boys perk some of you up today if you just if you just if you just put half the amount of emotions you put in this that you put in telling people how down you are if God be for us who who who if God be for us who can be against us he that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all how shall he not with him also freely give us all things who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect it is God that justified well brother ker these people reminded me about what I did way back then is that right well talk to God about it because God's already Justified you oh I got to go who is he that condemneth it is Christ that died yay rather that is risen again who is even at the right hand of God who maketh intercession for us who shall separate us from the love of Christ shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or Peril or sword as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us for I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor power nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our lord be thankful today church when you are in God and you are a part of God's purpose be thankful today because all things work together for good to them that are called all things work together for good yes my brothers hate me my parents don't understand me I'm having dreams and my dreams my dreams are dreams of greatness but my brothers hate me my parents don't understand me my brothers will hate me to the place to where they will attempt to kill me and when they see they can make some money out of my cell they'll throw they'll pull me out of the pit and sell me to ishmaelite Traders I will be taken down to a strange country in a strange tongue and be sold on an O Auction Block I will be sold pitifer will buy me I will become his slave I will sweep floors and clean toilets and bring water in there in that house I will be light on by his wife she will try to seduce me to have adultery with her I will leave my very cloak she will lie on me I will then be arrested I will be arrested found guilty of attempted rape I'll be placed in a prison but they in the prison I will tell two men the Baker and the butler I'll tell them a dream the dreams will come true the baker will be killed and the butler will will go back to giving the king the wine I tell the B I tell the butler before he goes please tell the king if I've got any hope at all it's in the most powerful man in the world please tell the king Pharaoh that I've been lied on that I've been sold please tell him but two long years will go by and I hear no noise but in one day's time I'll be brought up from the prison I'll be placed in the company the most powerful man in the world there I'll tell him a plan of a famine that's coming and how we have to save and we have to be able to endure the seven years of famine I'll be made in a moment's time the vice president of pharaoh I'll be given a ring and a chariot that'll make me a powerful man I'll watch my brothers come down and kneel before me I'll watch them as I reveal who I am they'll take wagons back to my father who has grieved for 17 years that his son Joseph is dead wagons will come back and my old father his spirit will revive they'll come back to Egypt and they'll they'll live in Goan they'll live there as invited guests but a few years later Joseph's father would die his brothers would know his brothers would get together and they would say it's over for us our father is dead and no doubt Joseph will have us executed we'll go to Joseph and we'll beg for our lives from our brother Joseph but in Genesis chapter 20 excuse me in Genesis chapter 50 and verse number 20 when they're cowering down in front of Joseph saying please don't kill us please don't kill us for lying on you please don't kill us for throwing you in the pit and selling you Joseph will give answer in chap 50 verse 20 he'll say but as for you you fought evil against me but God meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day to save much people alive he said you were working to kill me you were working to erase me you hated me with a hatred a a a hot hatred you hated me and you did all the these things to me but there was a God that had a plan for my life there's a God that says all things work together for good to them that love God and who are called according to his purpose you meant it evil but God meant it oh friend I don't know who I'm talking to today I don't know who I'm talking to today but somebody's got a Target on their back somebody's getting some getting some ridicule and some pushing down and some holding back don't fight don't fight they mean it evil but God means it for good you know what we lord I feel the Holy Ghost you may be SE we have to be willing we have to be willing to wait on God and again I say wait on the Lord we have to be willing to not have a microwave God or an instant God or a prayer line God I'm not against all those things we have to be willing in the midst of our storm regardless of how long your storm lasts you have to be willing to plant your feet in a god who's a good god he's a good god want to saddest stories I've ever told you about it was a minister a licensed Minister who was an accusation brought against his life a moral accusation his District board had to hear the accusation a woman claimed that he was immoral with her and before the District board and before humiliation this woman painted a story The District board had to hear the story and based on what the woman said at the end the District board came to an agreement that the man had been the man was indeed guilty although he claimed he was not the District board for charges of immorality took his license from him and all the man said my brothers today I shall not grow bitter with you for my God in time shall vindicate me my God in time shall testify for me the man lost his license several years later he and his wife received a call it was from the woman that made the accusations she's dying and she's on her deathbed she knows that a day or two she'll meet her God she calls the man to her bedside along with his wife and said I was insanely jealous of you and insanely jealous of your relationship with your husband I was so jealous of you that I couldn't stand the sight of you and I decided to fabricate a story about your husband of which none is true at all you see you see today you see well that's not a that's not a real good story to end this sermon with oh I I think it is I think just like Joseph's brothers that hated him and tried to kill him can eventually come around because I want you to know your enemies need to be prayed for our Bible tells us that we pray for those who despitefully use us and there may be come a day that some of your enemies will call you and they will ask for your forgiveness and you will be there just like that minister to say I forgive you in the name of the Lord God shall vindicate if you keep your feet Anchored In God God is good and God will prosper would you just lift your hands and praise him for a moment come on praise him for a moment for all things work together come on praise him for a moment some some of you are going somebody in this room right now is going through something and the Holy Ghost is dealing with you right now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in the name name of the Lord Jesus Christ in the name of the Lord come on right Nowa right now in this room receive that receive that touch from God right now come on receive that touch from God right now for God is good God is a good God God is God is good receive that touch right now receive that touch right now in the name of the Lord the name of the Lord receive that touch right now receive that touch right now but why brother Carpenter why the cancer why the loss of a child Callaway if you're watching today why I need a surgical procedure done but the doctor say I'm not strong enough why why my baby why my family can I just ask you something today is there any one thing that you could say this morning that God has been good God has been good God has been good I'm not talking about cheap materialistic things I'm not not I'm not talking about a quarter a quarter raise on your job I'm talking about God is good job one day the sun is shining I can hear the music from the eldest son's house it's birthday I can hear the music all my children are there I can hear their laughter in a moment's time feel the Lord in a moment's time job loses his wealth and his health he loses everything in a moment's time and in Job chapter 2 and verse number 10 his wife comes to him and he says job just Curse God and die but he said unto her thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh what shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil in all of this did not job sin with his lips he said I I got to tell you something woman I got to tell you something wife you speak like a foolish woman you speak like a woman that has no interest in her husband have we not been the recipients of God's hand bringing us good things can we only Say Yes to God and shake his hand when it's something good shall we not take evil off we say why would God take why would God give us evil God allows things to come into our lives to either draw us closer to him or give us a greater revelation of him let me say it again God allows things to come into our lives to either draw us closer to him because he wants you to spend eternity with him some of us are too comfortable on this Earth some of us just have a god of a car payment or a god of
