shalt not give me anything if that will do this thing for me I will again feed and keep my flock I will pass through all thy flock today removing from thence all the speckled and spotted channel and all the brown cat cattle among the sheep and the spotted and speckled among the goats and of such shall be my hire so shall my righteousness answer for me in the time to come when it shall come from my hire before thy face everyone that is not everyone that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and brown among the sheep that shall be counted stolen with me and Laban said Behold I would it might be according to thy word and he removed that day the the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted and all the she coats that were speckled and spotted and every one that had some white in it and all the brown among the sheep and gave them into the hand of his son's father I love you today thank you for your presence and thank you Jesus for what you've already done God you have already touched lives here in online you've already ministered and lord I pray today that the word will be our direction the word God today will speak two hearts in this room anoint your servant I love you help me to feed the flock today in Jesus name I pray amen you may be seated let me set the tone here Jacob has served his father-in-law for 14 years he walks on the farm of Laban and 14 years later he's married to both of Laban daughters and he has a large family but Jacob begins to understand one thing he's always working for Laban he's always increasing Laban 's wealth and so the day came that Jacob approached his father-in-law Laban and he he said I want to leave and I want to strike out on my own and I want to begin to to earn a living and not just a living but something that I can pass down to my sons and Laban said to Jacob he said 14 years ago when you walked up on the farm I had few a number of livestock I had a few sheep few cattle a few goats but Laban said I have learned by experience that God has blessed me because of you the livestock begin to grow Fang begin to change and basically Laban said to Jacob name your price name your price tell me what it would take to keep you on the farm and Jacob made him the offer he said from now on every spotted sheep every speckled cattle every spotted goat shall be mine now the reason that Laban answered so quickly was because the spotted speckled animals were extremely rare they were extremely rare solid-colored animals was the choice of the day and was more in number so Laban jumped upon this offer and Jacob said my righteousness will answer for me in that day now the first thing I want to bring to your attention today is that Jacob chose something that was rare speckled spotted and when he chose something that was rare he coupled it with his lifestyle he said I'm going to choose something rare it didn't make business sense but Jacob said I'm going to choose something rare and he said my righteousness shall answer for me he removed that day as I read you a few little speckled goats in a few little speckled sheep and a few little speckle cattle and he took that few and he gave it to his sons and he told his sons take what's mine and take it three days away from this place I want you to separate what's mine and I'm gonna I'm gonna make key thoughts that we're gonna come back to in just a few moments from others I read an interesting story that's going to tie into discernment instead a young man dreamed everybody say dreamed dreamed a young man dreamed of being an actor true story but in the early 80s he wasn't getting any of the big parts that he was wanting broke and disgusted and discouraged he drove his beat-up old car to the top of a hill overlooking the city of Los Angeles and did something unusual he wrote himself a check in the amount of 10 million dollars and he put down Preston this check is for your acting services this check is rendered to you for your service as an actor he kept that 10 million dollars in his billfold where he at times thumbed over a few $1 and $10 bills he would always be reminded Abby he would always be reminded of that ten million dollars this young man had grown up so poor his family at one time had lived in a Volkswagen van the entire family had lived in a votes wagon van I sought one out in the parking lot this morning I hope nobody's living in it so he put that check in his wallet and kept it there when things got tough he pulled it out and looked at it to remind himself of his dream 12 years later that same young man now the comedian Jim Carrey was making 15 million to 25 million dollars a movie but he would tell you today had it not been for a check that I kept before me I had some low times I was looked over I was even taken advantage of but every day that I got to my wallet I looked down and saw that 10 million dollar check you know studies have proven that we do move toward what we focus on now that's a study whatever you fix your life on you begin to move toward that Jacob chooses something rare I can see his father long after all Laban represents deceit we're really I'll tell you what Laban was - what Laban was - Jacob Laban was God's Way of pay Jacob back Laban was God's Way of teaching labor a Jacob a lesson Jacob you've been a trickster Jacob you been a deceiver and you're going to go through a period of your life that you're going to have to learn the lesson of what it feels like to be deceived it was father-in-law you know he loved Rachel y'all know the story of love Rachel he served his father lost seven years for Rachel but Oh Laban deceived him and took Lee and put me in the tent that night instead of Rachel and Jacob got a little dose of his own medicine you know in life let's not be discouraged sometimes we get a little dose of our own medicine but you see Jacob makes a statement to Layton because Layton just jumps on this because the the speckled spotted a channel or few and number Laban leaps right on this oh absolutely but Jacob and injects but my righteousness it's going to answer for me the way that I live and the way that I focus my life on it's going to answer me in the days to come we grab a take what we focus on oh I want to focus on the Lord this morning but I not only want to focus on the Lord this morning I want to focus my entire life upon the Lord I want to I want to gravitate toward what is spiritual the Bible said in Psalms 37 verse 4 and 5 July I self also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of their heart let me read that again delight thyself also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart commit thy way unto the Lord Trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass the word delight means to be happy the word delight means to be joyful about in the summer said if you will learn to focus and delight yourself in the Lord get happy about the Lord get joyous about the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart Oh Jacob you had been a trickster Oh Jacob you had been some more deceiving man but you come to a time in your life when you say I'm gonna let my righteousness answer for me I'm going to let the way that I live answer for me can I tell you something this morning that there is more power in righteous living than any other thing your big break is not getting noticed by your boss your big break is not finding favor with man I'm gonna tell you where you'll get your big break in line start living right start living right living right will be the biggest break of your entire life you might have been oh come on let's just really amen he said he said I know I've been a Johnno I've been a trickster I know I've been a deceiver and I know that he appears to you laman that I've made a sorry choice you know sometimes people look at the choices we make and they'll say that's a that's a sorry choice but I choose to look at it and say it's a rare choice it's a rare choice you see living for God is not the popular thing today but I choose to do something rare as a teenager I choose to live for God oh I choose to do something rare as a young adult I choose to live for God I choose to do something rare it's a man that's about to turn 60 I choose instead of starting to look at the majority that says it's time to close up shop it's time to start winding it down can't you see the sunset of your life brother carpenter I'm just gonna tell you this morning then I think I'm gonna do something rare instead of waiting to draw a cheque I think I'm going to you know hey you can turn 60 and look for the Undertaker I choose to turn 60 and look for the upper teacher choose something rare everybody's laying down everybody's getting up everybody's given up everybody's thought in the town why don't you choose something round my righteousness shall answer for me second Samuel 22 21 the Lord reward listen to this second Samuel 22 21 look at it real close the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness according to the cleanness of my hands he hath recompense me don't you know God sees in secret don't you know - P - many people think their big break is getting noticed don't you know that too many people are giving up on life because of what others think about them that didn't even hardly function because of what somebody says about him or thinks about him they can't even they keep their Hermits they got to be all alone because they can't stand the thought that somebody might say something about me can I tell you today it is not what happens in public that you should be concerned about it's what happens in private that you should be concerned about did not Jesus say you have no reward if you give your arms out in public if you're out in public throwing your arms around did Jesus not say if you're out in public lifted up your voice and pray you have no reward he said get down on the street corner throw your arms out for everybody to see you he said you have no reward he said get out in public and pray real flowery prayers for everybody to think your spiritual he said you have no reward he said go without food and fast and takes some old substance and put on your face to make it look wore out and wrinkled he said you have no reward but then he said this he said get in a secret place and begin to give your arms get get in a secret place and begin to give your prayers get in a secret place and begin to have your days of fast and he said the father that cieth in secret shall reward thee openly today I submit to you that what I bless your life on Sunday it's not what you do between 10:00 and 12:00 but what you do between 12:00 and 6:00 that's going to be the blessing to go come on all over this building let's just lift your hands it's a god thing it's a god thing it's a god thing the story goes on Jacob can you see him walking off with a few spotted cattle swaying back and forth and a few leaping rams and a few billy goats and there Laban is with a big herd of solid colored animals I do not have the answer to all of this some of it but not all of this Jacob goes back to the farm he's got his cattle over here spotted speckle cattle he goes and takes him a saw and he saws branches out of trees the Bible says he sawed branches out of a poplar tree out of a chestnut tree and out of a hazel tree he got him rods sticks limbs and he trimmed him down they were all dark bark and he took a knife out and I'm not adding to this it's right there in the Bible he took a knife out and he began to peel he begin to make notches and he began to cut black bark back until the white on the inside but he didn't peel him completely he did not peel them completely peel don't bit this side and peeled a little bit that side peeled a little bit that side and peeled a little bit that side until he had a backdrop of these branches that you could see dark and white I guess you could see spotted he placed them and as I said again I I have no answer for this other than the Bible he stood that as a background behind the watering troughs of his so when the sheep and the cattle and the goats came to drink they looked up when the spotted sheep in the spotted goats and the spotted cattle looked up when they were drinking they looked up and they could see the spotted background and some of your thinking today where in the world is our you sure you send him the right notes verse 37 Genesis 30 makeup' took him rods of green poplar and of the hazel and chestnut tree and peeled white strikes in them and made the white appear which was in the rods and he set the rods which he had peeled before the flocks in the gutters that's the watering in the watering troughs when the flocks chained the dream that they should Seve when they come to drink so Jacob did something here he satisfied the sheep and when he satisfied the sheep they naturally wanted to mate when the sheep were satisfied it was their natural tendency to want to mate so without getting too graphic you got them coming down to the water trough thirsty longing but they begin to drink and as they drink they desire to want to mate but Jacob had them mating in sight of what he wanted to be reproduced he had them getting satisfied and mating in light of what he wanted to produce they produce what they focused on whatever they focused on was what they produce Jesus is our water jesus is our worship the Spirit is that mating that we have inside of our heart when things are conceived in the Holy Ghost but we've got to have something out in front of us of what we want to produce we need to have Jim Carrey's check we need to have something visible in front of us as we're coming to worship Jesus and the Spirit is causing there to be a divine conception that goes in our hearts what are we wanting today what do I want my life to produce in the future where do I want to be a year from now well church it all depends on what you're looking at if you're looking at defeat if your little listen there's nobody that drives any great distance looking in your rear-view mirror too many people spend all of their time looking in their rearview mirror you're gonna wrap your life looking in the rearview mirror don't you know that God gave you a big windshield come on where do you want to be a year from them they produced they produced what they had focused upon they produced I want you to read why would you realize that they produced what they were focused on verse 40 and Jacob did separate the Lambs and set the faces of the flocks toward the Rings straight that's a that's the speckle and all the brown and the flock of Laban he put his own flocks by themselves and he put them not under labels when things begin to grow Jacob said I don't want Laban my past and this is an issue today I want to help somebody in Jesus name I want to help somebody on this Memorial Day weekend some of you come here and get God's kiss upon you but the reason nothing ever works for you is that you're keeping Laban mixed with what you're producing you're always keeping the past right in the midst of what God's trying to do in the present don't you know that's why I said I put your sins in the sea of forgetfulness never to be remembered so the first thing Jacob did when Eminem spotted sheep when him spotted sheep started having more spotting sheet in those spotted calves and and on and start producing he said first thing I'm gonna do is take what some producing and I'm gonna separate it from laymen's I'm putting Laban stuff over here oh Jesus I wish we can learn how to separate things in the past stop talking about things in the past stop rehearsing things in the past stop treating people through the eyes of the past he's a longtime God he's an ever-present God His mercies upfront hey if you're having a problem being merciful it's because this morning when you walk out your door from heaven there was delivered a fresh box of mercy because the mercies are new every day get Laban stuff out of here Laban represents my payback Laban represents what I've done what I was deceitful when I was deceitful verse 41 and it came to pass when so ever the stronger cattle did conceive that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters that they may conceive among the rods but when the cattle were feeble he took them not in so the feebler were Leighton's and the stronger Jacobs and the man increased exceedingly ximénez men you you make such a wrong decision well the man increased exceedingly man you should have chosen the brown will the man increased exceedingly because sometimes I don't have an answer it's not Talent this and God wants conviction and character way over Talent in your life God can take a man that's not educated God can take a woman that's entered that's not educated God can take some no-name somebody that you don't have any connections in any of the field that you want to excel in but if you will righteously live before God God is able to look down and cause your spotty cattle to begin to multiply so he he began to separate them he didn't allow Levens to mate among his because it was it was weaker and he listened let's read why don't we read verse 43 together and man ah something good to happen Oh later and begin to notice I'm having scrawny sheep and scrawny Catalan and and and and and look over there on the side that Hill looks like what in a world that's a multitude of sheep you're all spotted that's a multitude of chatter and they're all spotted that's a multitude of all these that are all spotted boy Jacob knew was in trouble because Laban that that greedy man that rubbed his hands that day Jacob said I'll take the spotted that greedy guy that's a deal they don't Gil deal deal that greedy guy now's looking at him like you pulled one over on me I don't understand all that the rods in cut places in the rods but you pulled although when you pull one over until Jacob had to get his wives together and he had to start talking to him he had to start telling him we got to leave Laban we got to leave here but listen to this now listen to this chapter 31 verse number 11 now now remove yourself from from from Jacob and Laban now it's Jacob talking to his wives about what's happened because Rachel and Leah don't know why the cattle is growing the way they are and the Bible says in verse number a chapter number 31 and verse number 11 of Genesis and the angel of God Jacobs trying to explain it and the angel of God spake unto me in a dream saying Jacob and I said here em I don't miss that don't miss that that's not there just to fill up the page Jacob here am i it's called are you available are you available because your life will be greatly blessed if you will give it to God and get into constant Enda and what God's wanting to do this earth is going to burn up one day church all the houses cars clothes gold everything's burning up and you're either going to go to heaven where you'll be rewarded for the life that you lived for him or you'll go to hell for the life that you live for your self now I want you understanding that God is looking for your availability he's calling your name but he's waiting for you to make the answer back here am i I'm available Oh precious Jesus today I wonder if the Holy Ghost is not scouring this auditorium today many of you have tried a lot of things in life I'm not talking to the sinner today I'm talking to the church and nothing ever gives you fulfillment that's because you have not gotten onto God's agenda you have not gotten onto God's agenda it's not that your utopia is a house paid for when you're 15 your utopia is not your 401k your utopia is not the kids staying in church your utopia is to be available for what God wants to do I wonder there's anybody in the house today I what if there's anybody that would you stand and say here am I here am I here am i God here am I here am i God I got more money than I know what to do god I've got all the plants from the office god I've got all the the things in life that I shouldn't be happy but I'm not happy you're here I may be seated here have here am i are you available here am i next verse and he said and the angels talking to Jacob lift up now thine eyes and see and all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked speckled and grizzled for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee I am the God of methyl where they'll notice the pillar and where thy vows to vow unto me now rise get me out of this land and return into the land as I can look at that I figured it out and studying the other day for some time I read it so many different ways God helped me with these rods and the sand help me with cutting spots and peeling God help me and it was I went to the next chapter and I figured it out how did he know to do that God gave him a dream he didn't just step back and take hitting this step back and say I think about if I peel rods and put them in from the sheep that they that they will increase God gave him a dream and when God gave him a dream he gave him a dream and said Jacob look lift up your eyes take it I think the first thing God wants us to do is to get our eyes off of the current situation we didn't start lifting up our eyes he says Jacob lift up your eyes he said I lift up my sister do you see something take it Jacob said yeah he said I see the mating of the spakest my spotted speckled I see the mating of all the spotted going on so when it came time for Jacob to strike his deal with Laban he did it by the dream although it was rare when God gives you a dream I'm gonna tell you something friend dreams are rare when God gives you a dream dreams around everybody and your family maybe going in a gentler direction but God has given you a dream and it doesn't make sense you make decisions in your life that people stand back and say that's a stupid decision to make that's a that's a ridiculous decision to make but you know God has given me a dream I got to keep my ten million dollar check in my billfold because God has given me a dream he saw in the dream exciting new to do that he saw it in a dream now I know that Sony's Pentecost Sunday we're going to celebrate the coming of the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues but God showed me something in Acts chapter 2 and verse number 17 we are real strong about do they speak in tongues and I you know how I feel about that but I'm gonna tell you something there's more that goes along we're getting the Holy Ghost and just speaking in tongues oh let me say that again I said there's more that goes along with the Holy Ghost then you're speaking in tongues but what is it Acts chapter 2 verse number 17 it shall come to pass in the last days saith god I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams you sell all them young people they see much promise on out of young people when's the last time you saw a young person prophesy when's the last time you saw a young man or young woman get up and prophesy what is prophecy declaring that which is not as though it is I'm gonna tell you what prophecy is prophecies you think you're stepping out in a boneyard of dead dry bones and he begins to prophesy he all dry bones hear the word of the Lord aho Whakaari when's the last time you saw a young person prophesy when's the last time you saw prophecy get on a young lady and she starts promise sign of what God's gonna do God's gonna change my momma's heart God's gonna change my daddy's heart God's gonna do some great things in my family doc come on I like that see my tie tie my tie Rider Honda but I won't you seek some privacy I want to see some young people get the spirit of prophecy on God come on young person instead of you feeling sorry for yourself promise I instead of you talking about I don't have a daddy I don't have a mama I don't have to you thought oh why don't you step back yet full of the Holy Ghost and begin the proper song what talking about your problem all day long talking about what you don't have all day long why don't you step out and begin the promise on what I should I'm getting on Thank You older folks for helping me with these young folks but you know why I think we don't have young people prophesied because we ain't got old folks dreaming dreams how do they know what to prophesy if we ain't dreaming dreams quiet in here now so you're getting what you you're getting once you stuff you're getting what you stacked and from your watering hole you're getting sixty-two and a check you're getting sixty-five and a check you're getting sixty seven or hold out to 70 and get a little bit more and a check my precious Lamb of God my brains were made for bigger stuff than that I thought oh lord have mercy we might not get out of 12 I'm gonna tell you something if I thought that my life was gonna consist on once a month getting I automatic deposit in my account so me and Mama can sit in the house and do nothing Oh dreaming a dream got the young men and women prophesied and hold my servants and on my handmaids well i pour out in those days of my spirit and they shall prophesy three three categories of people don't old men dreaming got young folks prophesied and got workers in the field you know what when the Holy Ghost comes it's more than just tongues one way you know you got the Holy Ghost you want to work none of this stuff who-who ever told us we retire from acquiring we retired from teaching and we were we retire we retired from all this well I I've paid my dues no you not paid your dues I'm gonna try to find the problem somebody in your life has not been dreaming and I wanted it not to be your pastor if you're not prophesying I don't God to be saying they're not prophesying because you're not dreaming I don't want to have a lack of workers because we got a lack of prophecy because we got a lack of dreams so let's just settle it on Memorial Day weekend your old man pastor has to this old man I've had a dream I know it's rare God is attracting God is attracting young men and young women to this church right now and we're having a housing problem we're looking at a place to house some of you Saints have been so good in the house them but we need to get a dorm for these kids we don't need to have to send our kids off there ought to be a place right here they feel like the ministries where they want to be there ought to be a place right here they come and it's time that the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ has a Bible College from Florida to Michigan does not count on in a California high Dre I just mean you maybe see you know feeling some prophecy coming on because my dream is no good I'll tell you in but my dream is no good if I don't have any prophecy so why in the world did you bring the cheese out that's the last thing that's the way it is with dreams God shows you the last thing in order to get you through everything you got to go through to get here wonder what would have happened by the hide several years ago when we broke ground for this building if I'd have stepped out here both I'd have known that I'd have done it if I stepped out here when they were digging in the dirt for the food or not said somebody ordered a carpet they said you're crazy I might be crazy but sometimes when God gives you a dream he shows you the keys it shows you the keys Saru the bow momentum has been lost living living in a group of people that once had momentum to do something for God but they lost their momentum and there's nothing any harder to get back into it sure it's easier to start momentum than it is to regain momentum zerubabbel pastored people that had lost their momentum and God spoke to you in Zechariah four and one and the angel that talked with me it came it came again and waked me as a man that way awakened out of his sleep Sakurai 4:2 and he said unto me what seest thou and I said I have looked and behold a candlestick all of gold and the bowl so I answered and spake unto the angel that talked with me saying what are these my lord then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me knowest thou not what these be I said no I don't know what the lamp means I don't know what the jugs of oil mean then he answered and spake unto me saying this is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel and I want to stop you and say this is the word of the Lord to the first Apostolic Church of Maryville and Sevierville this is the word of the Lord and as arou Bible saying not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the Lord of Hosts who are now over a mountain well bro you don't know what I have in front of me but you don't know who's talking to my Mountain who are now a great mountain before saruba bow before first Apostolic today suffering with chemical addiction I challenge you to write a note and put it in your pocket book of your billfold and save 365 days I've been free from alcohol and pain meds you celibate harbor Church in Knoxville or my little girlfriend penny Bennett's gonna be coming out and this young 22 year old boy drove all the way through the night all the way at parking this day and pulled it without a wink of sleep a lot of love but it was another wink asleep I picked her up at school at 3 o'clock I stayed at her house she lived over here off a singleton Road I stayed at her house to about 11 o'clock or midnight I went back home we lived in Buffalo rifle range Road in Fountain City I drove all the way over there my mama died my stepdad Neumann Langford lived over a mobile home I drove all the way a good hour God isn't one o'clock got back up at 6 o'clock to drive another hour back across town because I was going to take her to school that morning little sleep dropped her off at school hung around to 12 and ate lunch with her 12:30 I got in a car drove six hours to Sanford North Carolina and started a revival all right can I tell you that makes me tired just seeing that if I tried that today and find me to rest off for a pilot station round kicks our kennel we getting out there you think these keys are something I look for it this morning couldn't find it Beckham's got it hidden but I also want me a little plain I look me a little airplane because the older i get i'm not gonna be able to drive him long miles and I'm just gonna believe that God's gonna let somebody give for our Bible College the more that we give to missions God will provide the means for our Bible College and the concrete trucks will come and the footers will be dug and the brick will go up and the roots will be put on the children and students will learn about the Word of God and missionaries will go forth new pastures will go forth it's all because our pastor had a dream a prophesizes that churches will be started from our Bible College prophesizes that countries will hear the word of God from our Bible College I prophesizes that Bible studies will be taught from our Bible College and it's not me saying this it's the Lord who prophesied through in Jesus name in Jesus name I prophesied that go we begin to send laborers God into this church God that would begin God at each of this Bible College I promise I God the unexpected financial blessings will be unlocked with in this church God in the name of Jesus prophesied that dry bones would hear the Lord well God would be good to see the future and they would not be God looking at their past in the name of Jesus I promise all the laborers would begin to come got up on the side of the systems and protocols materials to use in the name of Jesus can you hear the sound it's the heartbeat of God he's calling us God for more we're just getting started in Jesus name hi professor I promise ah wait family go ahead no I hope I'm not out of line at all but this is very weak admits that all the wedding planning God is beginning to deal with my heart about the schedule of a Bible College and it's not even anything that we have even been talking about the Lord's been beginning to deal with our hearts about schedules and processes and so I know that this is from the Lord so I knew streaming all I can do stream it I like to do college that will bring revival to cities one day the back of our property will hold the revival that will breathe to countries that have never heard the word of God prophesied in the name of Jesus means for this building you will give us the means for it oh god as we step out our prophesy that you will provide the finances for this building in the name of jesus having different props i can trim in the heels of the Smoky Mountain I lift my eyes beyond where we sit this evening where your family members where you built two memorial tiers and you built a memorial of a book of prayers as they did in the scripture that you prayed and you prayed and I lift my eyes to seats that maybe you cannot see that sit your son and your daughter and your family and your boss and your coworker the mayors of this county the people that dictate what goes on within that the severe county in Boyd County and Knox County will sit in seats that sent me beyond the wall that have not fallen yet I wish right conceive a child you've had to stand and watch others bring their babies in you've been disappointed after testing for testing for Tennessee I challenge you to go buy a diaper bag today a challenge you go by your diaper bag today and put some newborn diapers in that bag you spit up rags in that bag go fill that bag up just like you had a baby keep it somewhere in your house because just like my
