oh yes lord he loves me like i was his only child oh god loves me like i was his only child don't you feel that way tonight he loves me like i was he is only only child i give god praise for that tonight everybody ought to feel like that that he loves you in a special special way i want to greet all of our guests that are with us tonight and i'd like for us to give them a first apostolic the very bleak without any favor at all report on sister hintz and his wife with a bad report of cancer the bad report of cancer and he is calling and texting all churches to bind together and pray and i ask you tonight we'll pray for it for sister hansen when i pray for my message tonight and um i'll tell you there's just one verse of scripture reminds me of when we worship together it says and the shout of a king was among them and i just believe there's a shout of a king that's just resident here at first apostolic church we just come together and there's just a shout that our king is in the house and i give him i give him praise this evening got a good report from sister amanda sullivan it's so good to see her her mother back from louisiana as they headed up a princess within conference there in a women's correctional center i sent sister sullivan a text earlier this morning he said how did it go and here's her text i'm going to share it with you she said it went very well so many stories so many backsliders that prayed through that haven't spoken in tongues for over 20 years one lady got the holy ghost that she has been in prison for 33 years she gets out in two weeks and we were able to hook her up with a church in her hometown and one of the preachers was there to help us got a good report that's a good report we had she adds we add 28 signed up to get baptized in march and they're going to allow a couple members of our team to go back in and baptize them that's just a good report that's that's just a good report that's a good report first john first john chapter 4 and verse number seven first john was written by the elder john he is believed to be in his probably his late 90s when he writes this as a matter of fact the epistle his epistles are some of the latest that were written this epistle was written in 90 in 90 a.d it was written in the year 90 a.d the book of revelation was written in 96 a.d you know that it is the obligation of a preacher it is the goal of a preacher to describe the indescribable that's the goal of a preacher to tell you what god is like and to bring him down in the word of god in such a way that you can mesh your life you can join your life with the word of god first john chapter 4 and verse number seven john says beloved let us love one another for love is of god and everyone that loveth is born of god and knoweth god he that loveth not knoweth not god for god is love for god for god is love i want to minister to you tonight on this sunday evening on this simple phrase love is a verb love is a verb put your bibles down help me pray tonight father lord i thank you tonight as we interact with your word lord god is we have worshiped you in spirit lord our souls and our spirits have been lifted up above the shadows of doubt and fear but now i open up my mind god to receive your word tonight lord to have an understanding god would you help me tonight to describe you would you help me tonight through your word lord to minister to this congregation and to the unseen congregation lord tonight that you are love god i'll give you the praise and the honor and the glory in jesus name i do ask amen and amen give the lord a hand to praise as you're being seated love is a verb love is an action word many places in the bible were given short statements to describe the indescribable god would allow us in his word jesus christ mentioned and he said for god is a spirit god is a spirit they that worship god must worship god in spirit and in truth he is the omni-present spirit what i mean by i'm not present that means he's present everywhere goes beyond our ability to comprehend but he's the omnipotent spirit he's the all-powerful omnipotent omniscient all-knowing he is spirit and other passage of scripture says and god is light and in him is no darkness at all that word light there is meaning information and i'm going to tell you something in god is the right information there's no disinformation in god i said there's no fake news in god there's only good news in god in him is no darkness at all but i am hung up tonight on this passage of scripture let us love one another gives us a reason we should love one another for god is love and he says everyone that is born of god loveth and he that loveth not knoweth not god in the simple phrase at the end of verse number eight it simply says for god is love for god is love i want to you follow me tonight to these songs of solomon the songs of solomon several chapters in solomon chapter 8 and verse number six several chapters in the songs of solomon are describing the love relationship between a husband and a wife between a bride and a groom it is a loved relationship that this couple haves they are they are madly in love with one another if you if you read the songs of solomon you you you find that that they they are absolutely finding ways to get together and they're they they they are they're describing being together at a banquet and and uh his banner she said his banner over me was love here in the eighth chapter of the songs of solomon here is this bridegroom relationship which which is typifying how the church should feel about our heavenly bridegroom jesus christ and how our heavenly bride groom jesus christ feels about his bride the church she says here in verse number six set me as a seal upon thine heart and as a seal upon thine arm for love is strong as death jealousy cruel is the grave the coals thereof are coals of fire which hath a most beheminent flame many waters cannot quench love neither can the floods drowned it if a man would give all the substance of his house for love it would utterly be contempt she begins by saying would you set me as a seal as a badge this seal here was a visible sign of ownership a visible sign that you possess me i am yours i belong to you she says would you set me as a seal and says the first place i want to belong is in your heart i want to belong in your heart and i'm glad to report tonight that the church of jesus christ is loved and is in the heart of god set me as a seal ownership possession and as a seal upon thine arm notice the two two places that she wants to seal she wants it inside of his heart inside of the love and then she wants a visible sign on his arm which means his power his power to possess she goes on and she begins to describe she says for love is as strong as death love is as strong as death now death is the product of sin and death is universal death is universal the fact tonight not morbid it's just a fact that if jesus christ doesn't come for his church in the next 100 years every person here tonight listening to me tonight will without fail be somewhere in a cemetery in this city doesn't matter how spiritual you are doesn't matter how much you tie doesn't matter how much you come to church i'm telling you death is universal it affects all of us in the word of god there's only of course jesus christ was victorious over death held in the grave enoch and elijah have been taken out of here to appear again in the book of revelation but when all the billions of people that have ever lived that's the short list that has cheated or defeated death he says she says excuse me for love is as strong as death bible simply tells us in romans 5 12 that death passed upon a double l all men death didn't pass over most men death didn't pass over 99.9 but death passed over all men so i flipped that tonight she said that love is as strong as death and so if death be universal i stand here tonight and tell everybody here that god's love is universal there's not an individual here tonight that god does not love you said that comforting tonight that god loves you well i don't feel you don't have to feel that his love is not conditional upon you accepting it are you feeling it god loves you unconditionally it is a universal love the strongest death his love is universal all men are loved by god john 3 16 for god so loved the church no for god so loved an organization no for god so loved or wish somebody would shout it for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life god so loved the world can't understand tonight people's thinking when they get in the church and they begin to serve god and they have some slips and falls and then they battle whether god loves them or not but they have no problem accepting a god that loved them when they were on a bar stool if god loved you on a bar still sir god loves you on a church view if god loves you when you were out of the church god loves you now that you're in the church love is a verb romans 5 and 8 but god commendeth his love toward us look at romans 5 and 8 romans 5 and 8 but god commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners christ died for us look at that and i want to try to i want to try to so bless you tonight to understand the fact that when we were in the world lost and undone there was a god there that loved us because love is a verb titus chapter 3 and verse number four but after that the kindness and love of god our savior toward man appeared now she goes on and she says that jealousy is as cruel as a grave as as cruel as the grave what does it mean by as cruel as a grave it takes everyone the grave doesn't care to rob the uh the infant i see you at a hospital death or grave doesn't care to take someone directly from the womb and death doesn't care to take the oldest among us jealousy is cruel as the grave the cause thereof are coals of fire which have the most vehement flame now why are you talking about jealousy for because you have to understand anytime you love something you are possessive over it anytime you love something you don't want anything coming in between you and what you love you don't want anything coming in between you and what you love jealousy has the coals of a fire in a vehement flame flame because something god loves us so much that he possesses us so much that if anything comes between us and him guess what god gets god gets jealous he gets jealous if anything starts coming in between us and him god gets jealous and i'll use the words of bishop j.h osborne god gets so jealous that he will kill whatever comes between him and you no wonder some people lose possessions because they've allowed possessions become to come between them and their god some people lose other people out of their lives because they have allowed those people to become in between them and their god i want you to know tonight i want to love god with all my heart i don't want anything to come between me and my god he doesn't mind if you have things that just don't let things get between you and god he doesn't mind if you have friends he doesn't mind if you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend as long as you're not married he doesn't mind all of the he doesn't mind all of that but just don't let it get between you and your god because he'll kill it he'll kill it he'll kill it it's jealous i was probably six years old when i saw jealousy firsthand my father worked on magnolia in knoxville at the free service tire company for one day i went down and my father took me down a side alley to a little a restaurant called how many years old enough to remember the blue circle huh dad and i went in the blue circle i just a little boy probably six or seven years old and we were sitting there ordering a burger and something to drink when i noticed there was a man on the counter and he was leaned way over and i even noticed as a six or seven year old lad i even noticed that he was very close to the woman taking his order so close that his face was against her face served so close that they were kind of rubbing the sides of their face as a young boy i thought that was odd but boy didn't the fireworks go off when that man's wife came in i witnessed her jerk that woman across the counter plates went everywhere hair was being pulled and i mean to tell you they were in an all-out cat fight right there in blue circle dad picked me up and we got out of there but i saw it firsthand do you know what that was that was jealousy when that woman walked into that now she should have beat the tar out of her husband but that's another story for another day but when that woman walked into that restaurant and saw something in between her and what she loved she got violent about it god is a jealous god you have to understand tonight if you're going to live for god there can't be anything between you and that god in god exodus chapter 20 and verse number 3. one of the commandments says thou shalt have no other gods before me thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is under the water under that is in the water under the earth thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them for i the lord thy god somebody help me now for i the lord thy god am a jealous god visiting the iniquity that's that killing part visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me he said i am a jealous god i don't want anything coming in between us don't you make an idol don't you make something to bow down worship i don't want to see you give more emotions to something other than me i don't want you i don't see you spending more time with anything more than you spend with me now let me go somewhere with you tonight i believe the utopia of our emotions should be displayed when we worship our god you cannot you listen your heart is deceitfully wicked your heart is deceitfully wicked don't tell me well that's just not my personality to worship god that's just not my personality to get happy and shout and all that and when you get a hole in one that can heal you hear you all the way over and not county when you are on the golf course or when you get that scope right on that deer i don't know what it would a with a 16 point but i don't know anything about deer i just hear him talk about 8.4.8 point would a 16 pointer be a good deer to get a 20-pointer the rich somebody said that'd be a record you scope it in there man bam you hit he falls or he or she falls whichever she falls to the ground and all that shows you what i know about deer and all of a sudden you're a hollering a hooping and man you're jerking that thing you done had to walk 22 miles to you said that god is blood out and you just trying to find the blood spot you dug down in the woods and and you huffed and you puffed and you got it out took you hours to drag that bambi out of the woods and put it on the hood of your car and all that and all of a sudden you come to church and you can't find a parking spot and you're going to drive on out of here and you and you walk into the church and man it looks kind of crowded in here i don't know about i'm going to tell you something god is saying you pay until you you're giving too much emotions come on you're hard to tell on you right now your heart will your heart will tell on you you see he's a flaming fire he's a flaming fire church he's jealous over us he possesses us and he doesn't want anything to come between us and him well i i just can't relate to them songs that you're singing i just can't relate to them songs you're singing i was getting me a cup of coffee the other day up there on y road where it goes out onto chapman highway as and i went in and get me a cup of coffee fix me coffee in that little market and i was a prisoner to the music they piped in there but i got to listen to it all right so help me and i stood there and i tried to get people's attention like are you here when i'm here this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard in my life the guy was singing through his left nostril and he was singing you fooled around with two or three it's all right to come home baby and fool around with me and i thought to myself that's right i kept looking around i couldn't get anybody to agree with me i was looking around like but if you can get excited and tap your foot and patch your dashboard as you're going around town because you fooled around with two or three and you can fool around with me and you can't get excited what a friend we have in jesus all our cares and griefs to bear come on love is as strong as death and jealousy as his cruel is a great he gonna come in and kill some things in your life he loves you too much your heart will tell on you your heart will tell on you you know there's really two there's really two documents that tell your story and my story there's two documents that we have that tell our story tonight our calendar and our checkbook where you spend your time and money tells the totality of your life it tells what you love and it tells what you're willing to support i want my calendar in 2023 to tell good things about me i want my checkbook in 2023 to tell good things about me because i love god tonight i love i love god tonight i love i love him i love him i love him i love him i love him hebrews chapter 12 verse number 28. wherefore receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved let us have grace whereby we may serve god acceptably with reverence and godly fear i'm sorry but we just not going to serve god any old way we're going to have to serve him reverently and we're going to have to serve him with godly fear why verse 29 for our god is a consuming fire i'll tell you we'll have more god in our life and we'll have more god in our families and we'll have more god in our church if we'll reverence god more if when we come to the house of god our minds are upon jesus when we come to the house of god it's not to find the latest dirt or to pedal the latest dirt around here there ought to be a holy awe about us it says when i go in that house that's the house of the lord they're about to start singing and i need to find a place around that altar to tune my life up why because our god is a consuming our god is a consuming fine you better serve him with reverence and with godly fear he is a consuming fire moses met him at the burning bush he was a consuming fire they met him on the day of pentecost he was tongues of fire can i tell you our god is still burning today and fire can be used for a good purpose or fire can be used to destroy fire can be used to illuminate your pathway fire can be used to cook your food fire can be used to warm you when you're cold or fire can burn everything that we've got down i want you to know that i want to serve god with reverence and godly fear because i want the fire to warm me i want the fire to lead me and i want the fire to guide me because our god is a consuming fire god is a god of love and church should we love him back right now could we just love our god back tonight he loves us and we ought to show our love back to him tonight with lifted hands and lifted voices to god love is a verb he came to this world and hung on a cross for you and i and showed us how much we he loved us can we not raise our hands tonight and raise our voices tonight and can we not show god in return god i love you tonight go ahead right now go ahead right now lift up your voice lift your up your hands lift up and show god that you love him tonight show god that you love him tonight oh in the old testament in my opinion there is one of the greatest love stories of god in the old testament it's a love story that is in the book of hosea hosea was a prophet he spoke to god's people he was god's man when god's people got out of line it was hosea that god would speak to when god's people needed to be encouraged it was hosea that god would speak to hosea was god's man there come a time in the history of the people of god that they went far from god they went far from him begin to worship balaam and all the gods of the land and in hosea chapter 1 verse number 2 it simply says the beginning of the word of the lord by hosea and the lord said to hosea go take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms for the land hath committed great whoredom departing from the lord so he went and took gomir that's i'm trying to say that in a feminine way because it's gomer but i think it would sound better as a woman gomir so he went and took the mirror the daughter of dib liam which conceived and bear him a son as a matter of fact god said i want you to go marry this woman that is the product of whoredom i want you to marry this woman that is a product of the sin of the land so he went he married her he loved her they had several children together he loved her but then without notice without notice the prophet would be a living illustrated sermon he loved gomir he loved her but he would be publicly humiliated when gomir left him and began to play the harlot hosea 2 and 5 says for their mother played the harlot she that conceived them hath done shamefully for she said i will go after my lovers and give my bread and water and my that give me my bread and my water my wool my flats my oil and my drink therefore behold i will hedge up the way with thorns and make a wall that she shall not find her past gomir said i'm going to leave you hosea i'm going to leave you because there's something else out there for me there's other lovers that can give me much more than what you're going to what you're giving me there's there's there's got to be much more out there and she left seeking these lovers she publicly humiliated hosea she publicly left him with children to raise she publicly left him and she played the harlot oh the whispers that must have went around town as hosea walked around and people would begin to whisper because the preacher's wife had left him and he he made a bad decision in choosing her and i can hear the list go on and on and on he's publicly humiliated with what she's doing but then in chapter 3 and verse number one then said the lord unto me go yet love a woman beloved of her friend yet an adulteress according to the love of the lord toward the children of israel who look to other gods and love flagons of wine so i bought her to me for 15 pieces of silver and for a homer of barley and a half homer of body look what happened she left her hosea she left that life looking for lovers to give her all these different things but you know where she found herself she found herself used and abused and she found herself unwanted she left the prophet's house a young beautiful woman a young beautiful mother but when the world got through with her they took all the shine off her face they took the twinkle out of her eye they took the spring out of her step they aged her beyond imagination until she finds herself being sold on an auction block what it must have been like to have been there that day when they dragged her on stage they dragged her on the platform the old auctioneer began to make several several remarks about the woman she's used and abused she's a woman of bad reputation she's a she's a woman of the night uh she she her health is gone due to her promiscuous lifestyle her health is gone maybe she can scrub a floor or two or maybe she can take a cow to town every now and then and swap around but she's just not worth much who will start the bidding and a man in the back of the room began to bid a very high price for her 15 pieces of silver he kept on bidding and kept on building bidding and finally i could hear the auctioneer as he says sold to the man in the back sir would you tell me your name and he said my name is hosea my name is hosea i can see your mirror as she looks up i can't believe it you're not here to judge me you're not here to say i told you so you're not here to ridicule me no the first time i entered into a marriage contract with you but now i have bought you i seen put his arm around her and say with an everlasting love i will love you that's what god was trying to get through to israel you left me for many lovers you went out into the world and now your health is broke you're used and abused but in the auctioning time there's a god that comes down and there's a god that'll say i'll pay a high price i won't send gabriel to die for you i won't send michael to die for you i'll roll myself in flesh and i die you were mine by creation but now your mind by redemption come on love him tonight come on love him tonight love him tonight love him tonight oh love carpenter that's a pretty good story for the old testament but we're in the new testament brother carpenter can you bring me something out of the new testament about god's love i sure can romans chapter 8 and verse number 29 talking about the church for whom he did for no god foreknew the church you see we are the product before the foundation of the world the master plan the utopia was the church listen the galaxy was not god's was was not god's ending the the beautiful grand canyons and the mountains were not god's ending we were god's ending the earth was made for the church and god had this in mind this is his that a group of people would be called out of sin by his spirit and a group of people would believe upon him and a group of people would repent of their sins and a group of people would be water baptized in his name and a group of people would receive his spirit and a group of people would be so dedicated to god that they would meet throughout the week and they would begin to sing praises and honor to him we are god's utopia for who for whom he did for no that's the church he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the fourth first born among many brethren now let me tell you something i do not believe nor does the bible teach individual predestination that you're either predestined be saved or you're predestined to be lost there's a listen you'd be surprised the number of churches in this town that believe exactly what i'm telling you they believe the doctrine of predestination they believe that god chose you before the world was and that god predestined for you to be saved or god didn't choose you now there's a one word i'd like for them to explain to me that jesus said whosoever will let him come now i do not believe the individual predestination but i do believe in the predestination of the church can i tell you that the church is predestined for glory the church is predestined for victory nothing will sink mother zion nothing will stop the church of the living god she has been marching against adversity for over 2 000 years and she hasn't been stopped rome could not burn her the middle ages could not dissolve her and modern technology today cannot stop her she is the church of the living god and she is predestined to go to heaven that's why you ought to work you listen you ought to be in the church i'm not talking about a building i'm talking about a body you've got to be in the church because the church is predestined it is predestined for heaven it is predestined for glory nothing will ever defeat the church of the living god verse number 30. moreover whom he did predestinate that's the church them he also called and whom he called them he also justified and whom he justified them he also glorified what shall we then say to these things if god be for us who can be against us he that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all shall not he how shall he not with him also freely give us all things who shall lay anything to the charge of god's elect it is god that justifieth now i said this morning though the hardest person to forgive is not a per another person that has wronged you but the hardest person to forgive is yourself and i want to tell you when it says who shall who shall lay anything to the charge of god's elect it is god that justifieth who is he that condemneth it is christ that died rather yea that is risen again who is even at the right hand of god who make of intercession for us who shall separate us look at verse 35 who shall separate us from the love of christ who the who is you the only person that can separate you from the love of god is you i don't want to hear it my husband my wife my kids my church my this i'm telling you the only person that can separate you from the love of god is you you're the only one that can separate yourself from the love of god who shall separate us from the love of christ shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us can i tell you knowing that god loves you will take you through any trial in your life just knowing that god loves me he hasn't given up on you he hasn't turned you over he hasn't stopped loving you he still loves you and in the midst of your trial if you can just know i'm loved by god i'm loved by god god loves me god loves me nay and all these things we are more than workers through him that loved us listen to this now for i am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities that covers all the demons in the world don't tell me that a demon can get get a hold of you nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor hype nor death nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of god which is in christ jesus our lord are you hearing me tonight church there is nothing that can separate your past can't separate you the uncertainty of your future cannot separate you from the love of god come on let's love him right now all over this building let's love him right now let's love him right now come on love him right now i love him right now he loves you i'm trying my best to describe to you the indescribable god is love god is a love god is god is trying my best to describe to you the indescribable that god is love young man i don't care if you know who your father is if you've ever laid eyes on your father god is love young lady i don't care what kind of home you come from god is love you know it seems like we spend a lot of time and maybe rightfully so trying to tell a youth group that god loves them because sad to say many of them are not coming from homes that give them the reassurance and the encouragement that they are loved but can i tell you something tonight after reading isaiah chapter 46 and verse 3. after reading isaiah 46 and verse 3 listen to god listen to god as a matter of fact isaiah 46 verse 3 hearken unto me hearken unto me god is saying would you listen to me would you listen to me would you listen to me god is saying would you listen to me oh house of jacob and all the remnant of the house of israel which are born by me from the belly which are carried which are carried from the womb i believe god wants me to preach to the youth group tonight and tell you god loves you god loves you you might have got a rough start in life you may have had a rough start in life you may not have come from an environment of love but you found yourself in a pentecostal apostolic church and there's a preacher up here tonight trying to describe to you that god is love the indescribable and i want to tell you that before you were in your mother's womb god knew you and god sanctified your life and god mapped out your life and when you came out and they laid you upon your mother's belly god was there and god had you in the palm of his hands young people you're loved young people you're loved there's been decisions made you had absolutely no control over there's been nights you've cried yourself to sleep there's been times that you have wished that that you you have looked at other you've looked at other in the youth group and wished i wish my family was like that can i tell you something tonight if your family is not like that stay connected to god and god will bring a beautiful husband into your life or a beautiful wife in your life and you can have the family that you wanted to have i'm trying to preach tonight yeah yeah i'm just trying to get you to understand the end that god is love tonight you don't have to give up on god because you've been set back you don't have to give up on god because there's been some handicaps god loves you and many waters cannot quench love many waters cannot put the love of god out in your preaching to the young people tonight wait a minute look at verse 4. of isaiah 46 and 4. i was there when you were conceived in the womb it was there when they laid you on your mother's belly i carried you from the womb now verse 4. and even to your old age i am he and even to your whole hairs that's white hairs like i'm getting and even to your hairs will i carry you i have made i will bear even i will carry and i will deliver you i don't only have a message of love to our youth tonight i've got a message of love for our elderly tonight when the devil comes slithering under your door into your home telling you that you're of no value and you're just taking up space that you're not really important anymore in all of that i've come to tell you we need you you are loved tonight god said i got a hold of you when you're in mother's womb and i carry it i kept you safe when you were jumping rope and i'm gonna keep you safe when you're on your walker coming down the middle of aisle i'm going to keep you safe i wish somebody would just clap their hands and love god tonight shame on every insurance company that won't give medical treatment because of somebody's age that's the world for you isn't it you're not worth a hip replacement you're not worth a heart valve you're not worth major surgery you're 79 years old yours is simply not worth it with my friend what a time to be in the church because god can give you a hip replacement and he doesn't care if you're 179. there's no age limit on healing there's no age limit on blessing there's no age limit on answered prayer he said from the from the time you were in the cradle to the wheelchair i have carried come on love him with me right now please love him with me right now please elderly saint receive this tonight please receive this tonight elderly saint oh please receive this tonight elderly saint oh please receive the love of god don't you go back home to a an
