"May I Put You On Hold?" - The Apostolic Connection

just for a few moments I want to draw your attention to the word of God The Book of Leviticus chapter 24 and begin reading at verse number 10 just for a few moments and the son of an israelitish woman whose father was an Egyptian Went Out Among the children of Israel and this son of the israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp and the israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord and cursed and they brought him unto Moses let's go to verse 12 and they put him in Ward that the mind of the Lord might be showed them they put them put him excuse me in a ward that the mind of the Lord might be showed them it could be said that they put him on hold until the mind of the Lord could be sought I want to use as a title today something that we all hear at one time or another when we call businesses I want to preach for a few moments on May I put you on hold may I put you on hold I don't know about you but I don't think any of us like to hear those words do we do you mind if I put you on hold and they don't give you time to respond you're automatically on hold and when anybody walks by and sees the phone to the side of your face and they say to you you say I'm on hold I'm on hold you don't normally say it with a smile it's normally with a little bit of frustration I'm I'm I'm on I'm on hold here it's very interesting when we study where this is at in our Bible it's in the Book of Leviticus Leviticus is filled with all the ways we worship God and worship Jehovah Leviticus is filled with all the ways the cuting of the sacrifices and the feast days and the all the different ways that we were to to worship God and to serve God it's just filled with all of that as a matter of fact the 24th chapter of Leviticus has to do with the children of Israel bringing oil to the Tabernacle and it has to do with the children of Israel going and bringing meal that the holy bread or the shoe bread could be presented has all to do with laws and regulations and you Worship On this day and you come together for three days and and all of this and right in the midst of all of that stuff something happened to men fought and one of the men blasphemed the name of the Lord this hadn't happened before we don't believe because it's of such great importance that when this man blasphemed the name of the Lord they brought him unto Moses but Moses had to put him on hold he said he's blasphemed but I truly don't know what we need to do to him I I really don't know what needs to be done could I be speaking to anybody here today that have found yourself in a situation of life where you just truly don't know what you need to do well Moses said let's put him on hold let's just put this on hold as a matter of fact they constructed the first Old Testament jail there they built a ward or they built a holding sell and they took this man and they put him on hold until the mind of the Lord could be known we want to know what the Lord wants us to do we come in our lives to places that we truly don't know the next turn we truly don't know to back up go to the left or go to the right or go forward we find ourselves sometimes in in in predicaments that we have just simply say I don't know what to do do you know what that's all right because God allows us to be put on hold until the mind of the Lord may be known we need to be put up put put it on hold just just put it on hold over here we'll say well what do I do while I'm on hold well just bring some oil to the Tabernacle well what do I do when I'm on hold well just bring some meal to the Tabernacle well what do I do when I'm on hold well just bring God some praise and bring God some worship the one thing you don't want to do is to become unoccupied one thing you don't want to do is to become inactive in your walk with God right in the middle you see this Leviticus this book of how to worship God was really intended to keep the likes of you and I busy doing the right thing so that we don't have any time to do the wrong thing you see when God gave Moses or Noah excuse me that job of building that Ark God could have created an ark for him God could have spoke an ark into existence but God knew the power of a corrupt world and he knew that no man can stand against this corrupt world so he gave Mo Noah a job to do he gave him an occupation to do and as he was doing the occupation of bringing go for wood and nailing it up and day in and day out he was keeping his mind occupied in the right thing that he didn't have time to become involved in the wrong things brothers and sisters today you are not alone when you find yourself not knowing what to do you are not alone when you don't know do I go forward back turn to the left or the right where am I at uh uh uh spiritually You Are Not Alone to feel that way job felt that way he talked about all the directions he went trying to find God you are not alone put your situation on hold but don't put God on hold put the man that blasphemed in a ward but don't put God in a ward keep on going to the house of God keep on lifting holy Hands In Praise keep on lifting up your voice voice in praise and adoration keep on going to church and supporting your local church with tithe and offerings keep on going to the local church and supporting it with your presence there somebody needs to see you your life is on hold but your God is Not on hold Moses I don't know what to do I've brought you out of Egypt I've LED you out here but it looks like to me I've LED you all in the wrong direction it looks like to me that this Pillar of Fire by night and pillar of cloud by day sister prent it looks like God has led us in the wrong direction God where are you leading me God I thought this was you God but God this has no rhyme nor reason God there's there's no method to this madness God what in the world have you done we're right here in the middle of the Red Sea in front of us and Pharaoh's Army behind us God you let us here Lord what are we to do put it on hold because God said these words Moses stand still and see stand has to do with your position steel has to do with your spirit sea has to to do expecting your Miracle to come can I tell you one thing the enemy wants us to do when we when we get in a situation we don't know what to do is to remove ourself from the sight of a future Miracle can I tell you in the house of the Lord this has been a place that has witnessed Miracles Through The Years God shows up when his people begin to praise him God shows up when his word begins to be preached you may not be feeling it today but just stand just stand don't leave your church don't leave your Bible believing church just stand right where it's at stand somebody shout stand stand just stand Moses don't leave here Moses don't run off Moses because if you run off here's the spot I want to do the Miracle at I want to do the miracle right here I've LED you here Moses I brought you down here Moses because you don't know my plan Moses my plan Moses is to absolutely render Egypt ineffective to ever come after you my plan for you isn't that amazing that Moses did not know God's plan God's plan was I'm not through with Egypt I I want to take all of its armies and drown them in the Red Sea I want to take all of those Egyptians that used to beat your back and I want to I want you to see them dead on the seashore I want you to see what you fear most totally conquered by the great hand of God because it's not God's will that we live in fear all of our Lives of our past catching up to us that brothers and sisters is not God's will that's one of the reasons and the reason of baptism in the name of Jesus because when we're baptized in our Red Sea all of that come on you need to put it on hold I'm going to put it on hold some of you I believe I'm preaching to somebody in I believe I'm preaching to somebody in this room today that you've not been having a bad week you've been having a bad year you've been having a bad season as a matter of fact it's starting to affect you and and you're starting to let it seep into your Leviticus worship you're not worshiping God the Leviticus way like you once did you're not coming in a systematic way and raising your hands your famine has got so so rough on you that it's caused your hands to wither and fall down by your side situations that you see around you have turned out in such a way I didn't plan it this way I didn't order it this way when I made those decisions I didn't believe it would happen this way well you know what I can't answer all the questions of life but I can tell you why don't we just put it on hold let's just put this on hold until the mind of the Lord can be known can I tell you your best day spir your best days spiritually are not behind you they're only behind you if you say they're behind you but you can put that situation on hold and let God come in and begin to move in your life oh would you Worship the Lord with me today Moses build a Ward and put him on hold Moses stand still that's your spirit too many troubled spirits too many things we allow to mess up our day too many things have access to where my spirit lives too many things can take me from from the Peaks to The Valleys too soon too many things I allow to trouble my spirit Moses said God Moses said to God God said to Moses excuse me God said to Moses Moses stand still get your spirit conquered get your spirit under control when the voice is see what comes to trouble your spirit is a voice you hear in your head it can be the voice of G doubt it can be the voice of condemnation it can be the voice of you listen I'm totally convinced God the easiest thing in the world is for God to forgive you the hardest thing is for you to forgive yourself some people repeatedly go back to God over and over again and I do declare God probably says what sins are you talking about if you ask me me to forgive you I cast them into the sea never to be remembered again and can I add something to it and then he puts up a old fishing sign you see many times we allow that we allow just with without a whim that thought to come back around our mind like a record player and all of a sudden it brings that past sin and all of a sudden my spirit goes from my God loves me to well just condemned I'm never going to be nothing and then what we begin see this is so reason to keep our spirit in check how you feel about yourself is how your spirit convinces you that everybody else feels about you see that's why you can be in one of the most and I believe that First Apostolic Church of mville is one of the most loving restoring Body of Christ Church in in in all the world I believe this is a second chance church I know it's a second chance church I know it's a church that accepts people just like like they are when they come in we don't we don't look at we don't we don't look at what kind of car a few years ago we got a um um a letter an advertisement from a from a company from a company that said that um uh for x amount of dollars they will provide us with a mailing list and I I get a little attitude every time I tell this story I don't know why I keep telling it sent me a letter and said we we we we have a a marketing firm and and said for x amount of money a month we're going to tell you all the people that have moved into your community and we're going to tell you the levels of their income so that you can see if they would be comfortable in your Auditorium throw that trash in the trash can no don't even don't even dignify my trash can just I mean just put it in a garbage can outside I mean just can you imagine that we would get a letter and look through and say oh so and so they live over here in this gated community or so and so oh they're down here in this bad part of town we don't want them kind of folks can I tell you today that First Apostolic church is one of the most loving restoring churches Second Chance churches that you'll ever come in contact with but it's all rendered useless if your spirit tells you that you can't be forgiven you'll see every per listen You'll see a person that walked down a hall that just didn't walk over and Shake Your Hand you'll see that is oh they don't love me you'll hear a message on sin and you'll think oh he's just oh boy he's wearing me out again that preacher back at my hide again he's back back at me again can I tell you brothers and sisters today one reason you need to control your spirit it tells you your feelings about yourself and then it tells you how everybody else feels you that's why God said to Moses stand position steal spirit and see that's the spirit of expectation I woke up this morning so help me I woke up this this morning and the first thought I had on my mind is something good is going to happen today something good is on its way I'm not looking for the black clouds of tribulation I'm looking for a white cloud of the Lord coming back because something good come on if you believe that today stand on your feet and give God a shout of Praise I'm looking for something good to come my way come on give him a praise this morning
