well grab your Bibles real quick John chapter 7 John chapter 14 and verse number one and let me say that the the the praise and worship and your response to the praise and worship you know AR aren't you aren't you so thankful that the praise and worship team around here believe in doing things with with a spirit of Excellence no no now hey let's face it let's face it I can eat a peanut butter jelly sandwich out of a brown paper bag today but I not going to don't know where I'm going there probably going to be a place I'm going to sit down and they're going to have a nice plate of food in front of me let's just face it you can have church with a peanut butter jelly sandwich and a brown paper bag but I like sitting down with a plate everything's on key everything's done with the spirit of excellence and I just think our music department this morning the choir all of them I just think these people deserve I really do one one one thing before I read my text y today last um uh last Sunday morning my wife and I were in Porter Texas at brother Joel McCoy's Church great man of God a great church there in the suburb of Houston and um um there and I guess something sto me off today the scripture reading is not ESV it's KJV it's King James version all right all right can you put that y'all don't see that but I do okay okay kind of U to me King James version if it was good enough for Paul and silence it's good enough for me all right can y'all tell I'm getting old so we were there at brother Joel McCoy Sunday morning walked out into the auditorium and a man came up and started talking to Pastor McCoy and um he said pastor I just want to tell you we got in our new house and last night was the first night and he said slept like a baby and the man walked away and brother McCoy told me he said some time ago that man came to our church homeless said he was homeless and I told him that if he would get a job and work that job and tie unto the Lord that the Lord would do great things for him and he said they just bought a house him and his wife just bought a house first time they' ever had a home they just bought a home the first night they slept in it and U I am I am so I am so thankful that yes God keeps his word amen all right are you ready to go are you ready to go today John 14 And1 let not your heart be troubled you believe in God we going to have the verse up here on this screen please all right there you go you got your heart right let not your heart be troubled you believe in God believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also and whether I go you know and the way you know Thomas saith unto him Lord we know not whether thou goest and how can we know the way Jesus saith unto him I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the father but by me if you had known me you should have known my father also and from hence forth you know him and have seen him Phillip saith unto himl show us the father and it saith us or satisfies us Jesus saith unto him have I been so long time with you and yet hast thou not known me Phillip he that has seen me he that has seen me has seen the father how sayest thou then show us the father believest thou not that I am in the father and the father in me the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself but the father that dwelleth in me he doeth The Works believe me that I am in the father and the father in me or else believe me for the very works the very Works sake I want to minister today on this subject our soul source of light our source of light would you repeat that with me today our source of Life father I thank you for your word thank you God that I've been privileged to be called to preach your word thank you today that I've not only been called to preach your word but Lord these people that stand before me and the people that are streaming with us today online and God I I just ask that you would anoint our hearts for we as your children are hungry to hear from your word your word is our light your word is our Compass your word is our comforter your word is our guide on this Earth we give you praise and give you honor in Jesus name we pray amen give him a hand of Praise before you're seated our source our source of light a great percentage of the Book of John is dedicated to one week in the life of the time of Jesus Christ Jesus begins to reveal and tell the disciples that he's soon to go to Calvary he's soon to be crucified he's soon to be delivered into the hands of of Sinners to be crucified and uh he is telling them that he is soon to leave of course uh as scripture shows us he had to say um uh let not your heart be troubled don't don't don't don't have a troubled heart about what I am Telling You In my Father's house or many mansions and if I if it were not so and kind of like where the Hem referenced uh prove me now Jesus said in my father's house are many mansions dwelling places if it were not so I would have told you in other words I I'm not telling you something today that's not truth I go to prepare a place for you if I go to prepare a place for you uh that I will come again and U receive you unto myself and he goes all the way through and then he comes to verse four and he says you know where I'm going and you know the way that I'm going you you you know the destination and you know the route to the destination what is that time and any good Bible student would when something is said that you don't understand Thomas interrupts the Lord and says Lord we we don't know where you're going we don't know where you're going and if we don't know where you're going if you don't know we don't know where you're going how could we possibly know how to get there and of course very familiar passage Jesus said I am the way I am the truth and I am the I am the truth and I am the life you know it's amazing how Jesus would communicate with people H and reveal reveal to them his identity he told a religious group of phes that were not hungry for him he looked at them and said I am the door I I am the door in other words he's saying to them if if you want to get in you got to come through me I I am I am the door uh he shows up at Mary and Martha's house they four days before that just buried their brother Lazarus and guess what he says to them Martha I am the life you see how he he fits himself to the situation he gets around Hard Hearted Pharisees and he says hey fellas I'm the door he comes to grieving Mary and Martha that's grieving over a dead brother and he says I am the life he comes to Thomas when Thomas is saying we don't know where you're going and we don't know how to get there and he says well let me just explain it to you this way I am the way I am the truth and I am the life all right I am the pathway and I am I am the destination I am the destination I am I am life and then he said no man can come unto the father but by me he said if you've known me verse seven you should have known my father also and from henceforth you know him and and you've seen him now Thomas has interrupted with a question and now it's Philip's turn to interrupt Philip saith unto him Lord show us the the father and it saith or satisfies us now I want to take just a moment and tell you the definition of the word the Greek word saith or satisfies it means to be in possession of unfailing strength really hang on to that it means to be in possession of UN failing strength it means to be strong it means to be enough it even means to defend or ward off to be satisfied to be contented Phillip said if you can show us the father it will suffice us if you can show us the father I will possess unfailing strength if you can show us the father I will have strength I will have enough I will be able to defend and W off I will be satisfied I will be contented you got to hang on that for a moment because evidently up to this time although Phillip had witnessed miracles signs and wonders he still didn't have a full revelation of exactly the identity of Jesus Christ and not having the identity of Jesus Christ he Witnesses with his own words if you could show me the father it would suffice us if you could show me the father we would now possess unfailing strength it would be enough we could Ward it off we would be satisfied now just stay with that for a moment which means at that point he was not satisfied although he had seen Miracles at that point he did not feel that he possessed unfailing strength Jesus answers Phillip with a question have I been so long time with you and yet hast thou not known me Phillip in other words just as puzzled as Philip is of show us the father Jesus is a Phillip that he had been three and a half years with him and you haven't seen the father you haven't perceived him Jesus said how is it that I've been so long time with you and yet you that Hast not known me Phillip verse n he that has seen me has seen the father how sayest thou then showest the father he's saying if you seen me you've seen the father believest thou not that I am and this is where we're going to spend a little bit of time Jesus said believest thou not that I am in the father and the father in me the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself but the father that dwelleth in me he doeth The Works believe me that I am in the father and the father in me or else believe me for the very Works sake now I'm going to tell you right there is a spiritual tongue twister I am in the father and the father is in me now unless you really dive into a Biblical explanation of what is Jesus saying there when he says I am in the father wait a minute you just said if I've seen you I've seen the father but now you say I am in the father and the father is in me exactly what does that mean because modern day definition missions of God that came out of the second and third Century that did not come out of the word of God has God divided up into persons separate distinct persons so you really have got a spiritual headache when you try to get one person in the other person and the person that's in in the person can I get a witness today so instead of just putting the blank scratch Mark through this and say oh it's just a mystery I think we need to delve them to it today because anything any Revelation that would give me unfailing strength I want it any revelation of God that would give me the strength that is unfailing I would be satisfied I would not be wondering the only hunger we should have as God's children is more of him more of him when we understand the ways of the Eternal God we can have a correct view of scripture we have to understand the ways of God to have a correct view of scripture I invite your attention to Romans chapter 1 verse number 18 and here Paul is addressing the sinfulness of man and the depravity of man and the downward spiral into sin of man and he says in verse 18 of Romans 1 for the Wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness now now follow with me now that word hold there means to suppress it means to suppress means to push back to try to keep down keeps popping up and you want to push it down it means to suppress he says they are holding these unrighteous ungodly men who suppress the truth or hold down the truth look at Verse 18 they hold down the truth in unrighteousness now here we got people that are living ungodly unspeakable despicable acts of gross immorality and what a what a what a shape this world is in today what a what a shape this world is in today but Paul addresses that same day and he says these same people that are committing these ungodly unrighteous acts are having to suppress the truth because the truth keeps wanting to come back up what is the truth verse n verse 19 because that which may be known of God is Manifest in them in other words God's knowledge is in them it's manifest in them for God God hath showed it unto them all right now they have this knowledge and God has showed it to them this this knowledge that God has showed but they choose to want to live unrighteous ungodly acts but this knowledge keeps popping up are you are you getting it now this knowledge keeps coming up but guess what they do instead of turning and repenting they want to suppress the truth kind of sounds like to me getting all worked up over ten commandments being in a courtroom sounds like to me getting worked up about a school day starting with prayer sounds like me getting me getting all worked up over a nativity scene on the Town Square why would you get all worked up about that because it reminds them of something that they want to try to keep pressed down uh Lord should I say it sure y was going to say it before I even said I was going to say it you can figure out why some people don't like you because you remind them of what they should be and a hungry sinner will follow you to church and a person trying to suppress righteousness will fight you going to church that's right that's right so if you don't want to be hated don't follow Christ because the world is not going to give you the key to their City matter of fact Jesus said it this way don't set well Jesus said it this way he said Marvel not if the world hates you it hated me before it hated you you all right what is it verse 20 for the invisible things of him this God from the creation of the world are clearly seen being understood by the things which are made even his eternal power and godhead so that they are without excuse these people that want live ungodly and unrighteous and at the same time have to suppress the truth have to do so because God revealed himself on the planet they lived on they live on God reveals himself in the solar system God reveals himself in creation and so they can't get out of this world they can't remove themselves from this world they're tormented in this world because God created this very Earth to be a witness and a testimony of his eternal power and did he not add the word godhead godhead what does godhead mean godhead means God's headquarters what does God's headquarters mean it means where God dwells so he said in creation I made known to them my eternal power and godhead so that they are without excuse are y'all still with me this morning God reveals invisible things about himself by visible things he created again God reveals the invisible things about himself by the visible things he created Paul just said it this way Paul said we can understand the godhead as we study creation we can understand the godhead Paul said as we study creation well let's go let's study let's study the godhead here let's study the godhead here all right let's study light somebody finish it out for me and there was light Genesis 1:16 chapter 1 verse 16 and God made two great lights the greater light to Rule the Day and the Lesser light to rule the night he made the Stars also and set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the Earth and God made two great lights those two great lights is the Sun and the Moon and that this was created on the fourth day God said let there be light on the first day and on the fourth day God said let there God created he made two great lights the Sun and the Moon listen to this closely God created light on the first day and then on the fourth day created the source of light the Sun so the source of light the sun dwells in its own effects of light and the effects comes and dwells in the source now let me explain this God created light on the first day God created light on the first day and on the fourth day God created the source of light now man man has to create the source first and then the effect but God isn't man and God creates the effects on the first day and then the source on the fourth day I believe we're going to get an understanding when he said believe that I am in the father and the father is in me in other words I am simply the source of the light on this Earth but the effects of the light were before me for you cannot have Jesus Christ the man Eternal there's no way that the man Christ Jesus is eternal there's no way there's no scripture that says he's Eternal you can't have the words the only begotten and that's one of the reasons and I kind of played with you all today I do believe in other versions of the Bible I study other versions but when it comes to preaching I'm KJV I think I've got a stamped ins my my suit coat right here but but but listen to me for a moment listen to me for a moment Jesus Christ the man is not Eternal he was begotten he is the only begotten Son of God he is not Eternal he is begotten but you got to be aware some of the new translations are removing the word begotten oh it's just a little simple word begotten it it it it it it does away with the Beautiful Doctrine nowhere in the Bible does does it ever call Eternal Father nowhere in your Bible does it say Eternal Father and nowhere in your Bible does it say Eternal son because there was a time that God was not the father of creation or a father and many times God identifies himself as the father of creation but as a father to denote relationship all right he wants to denote relationship that's why he had told Moses God told Moses Moses you go tell Pharaoh let my son go well if God is saying to Moses go tell Pharaoh let my son go who is God he's father it's father used in relationship and U but the only time in scripture you might want to write this down does it ever refer to Eternal it says through the eternal spirit he offer himself because there's been a time when there wasn't a father of creation and there's been a time when there was not a son of redemption flesh Bethlehem but there has never been time because he is the Eternal God there has never been a time that God has not been his Essence and that Essence is spirit so man has to create this first before it can get this man has to create this before he can get this but God is not man he creates the essence and then thousands of years later creates a source of that Essence John 10 and verse number 30 then the Jews took up stones again to Stone him they're always upset at Jesus the Jews took up stones to Stone him again Jesus answered them many good works have I showed you from my father for which of those good for which of those Works do you Stone me verse 33 the Jews answered answered him saying for a good work we Stone thee not but for blasphemy because that thou being a man makest thyself God you see man thinks like man man's got to have this first to have this and so they looked at Jesus and they said you're a blasphemer and you need to be stoned he said for what good work do you Stone me was it blind bardus getting his sight was it Lazarus coming out of the Grave was it the feeding of the M what are you stoning I said oh no none of the good works were stoning you for none of the good works he said this is the reason we're stoning you because you're being a man maketh thyself God you've got it backward it's not he was a man that made himself God but he was God who made himself man he was the light on the first day he was the light on the first day but on the fourth day he created and I believe that we're going to have a better understanding of when Jesus said believest thou that I am in the father and the father is in me you see again in my notes Man created a light bulb and then Light Came Thomas Edison but with God God is light God is light first John not the Gospel of John but first John first John chapter number one chapter number one and go ahead and give me verse 5 first okay give me verse five and then let's go back to verse one but I want to read verse five first verse 5 says this then is the message this then is the message which you have heard of him and declare unto you this is the message that we that that that which we have heard of him and we've declared it to you that God is somebody say those words with me that God is light and in him is no Darkness at all now let go back to verse number one now now that you know that God is light God is light and in him is no Darkness at all listen to John John 1 and one first John 1 and one please that which was from the beginning which we have heard which we have seen with our eyes which we have looked upon and our hands have handled the Word of Life John is describing John is describing Jesus Christ The Man He's describing Jesus Christ the man he said that which was from the beginning which we have seen with our eyes we have looked Upon Our Hands have handled the word of life for the life verse two was manifested that means brought forth made known and we have seen it and bear witness and show unto you that eternal life which was with the father and was manifested unto us that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you that he also may have fellowship with us and truly our fellowship is with the father and with his son Jesus Christ and these things write we unto you that your joy may be full brother Carpenter if there's not two a father and a son why does it say that all the scripture go back 2,000 years ago the reason the Holy Ghost inspired the writers to put down in our Bibles that he that God was his father was so that we would understand the mystery of humanity and deity robed together because if you just have him a man he is not he is not the payment for our Redemption if you just have him God he doesn't have the blood to redeem us but if you can put them together Jesus was no ordinary man he was not a prophet he was not born by the product of a male and a female coming together he was no ordinary man he was God 1 Timothy 3:16 robed in flesh he was Son of God all through the Bible he was Son of Man All Through the Bible what's the distinction of Son of God God and son of man when you say son of man you link him to his lineage to the flesh but when you say son of God you link him to the very God of Eternity he is both God and man he oh Hallelujah he is both the light and he's the source of light woo Hallelujah to God oh you might want to watch men in the aisles today because I'm telling you this is what what we believe this is what we believe the Bible teaches here oh well see how Mighty God he is both Jesus is both the source but the source didn't come about until bethlehem's manger but the essence is eternal that's why the essence was created on the first day and the source wasn't created to the fourth day am I making any sense to anybody in this room right now no wonder Paul said they're trying to suppress down the truth they're trying to hold they're trying to hold down the truth they're trying to suppress the truth and while they're trying to suppress the truth God said if they would just study creation they would understand my eternal power I guess he does have eternal power because at the beginning of creation he speaks things into existence by saying let there be light and there was light God God's mind God's ways are so beyond what we can comprehend God can just think it and speak it and there it is what a God thinks it speaks it and there it is it already exists because he thinks it but when he speaks it with his word the expression of his word causes it to be sounds like good preaching don't it God wants to change your life God wants to give you a miracle of Salvation God wants to change your life but until you hear the expression preach you can't be saved until you hear the word of God but when you begin to hear the word of God and you begin to believe the word of God salvation oh let me let me let me keep on going let me keep on going John go back to the Gospel of John not the Epistle of John but the Gospel of John John chapter 1 John chapter 1 and verse number one in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God the same was in in the beginning with God all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made in him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shineth in darkness and the Darkness comprehended it not verse 14 and the Word was made flesh dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth in the beginning w r d was the Loos that's what that that's what that Greek word word means is logos and the word logos means a thought a plan and an idea and if you simply let me go back over it in the beginning was the thought the plan the idea and the thought plan the idea was with God and the thought plan the idea was God when God created in Genesis 1 let there be light essence and then on the fourth day let there be a son he made the son he was simply he was simply showing us that there is deity God light that's everywhere that's everywhere but the light emanates or originates in the source of Jesus Christ Our Lord can you say Amen in the beginning if I could use this analogy a contract has the blueprints to build a house now the contractor builds many houses in his lifetime but no doubt it's a probable that there will be a time that that contractor will build his own house he'll have a set of blueprints a set of plans that he's going to build that house and that house is where he's going to live in the beginning was the thought planned the idea word and the thought planned the idea was with the contractor of the universe and the thought planned the idea was God in other words the whole plan was that God was going to become one of us so that we could become like him verse 14 the word was made flesh dwelt among us go back to First John 1 John Chapter 2 and verse number 18 just in case anybody here today you know because we live in a day when people say oh you know it really doesn't matter really really really doesn't matter about the Bible you and and and we so take the Bible so lightly and it has to do with the part of us it has to do with the part of us that's going to live forever and none of us would lay down on a table to Asser surgeon that would look at a surgical book on how to perform open heart surgery and say ah I don't really think that matters I don't really think I got to do that there's none of us that would lay down no they're going to go absolutely by the letter and church can I tell you today when it comes to your soul please in Jesus name go absolutely by the letter God will reveal to us his truth if we're hungry but if we're trying to suppress the truth God would reveal the truth to us if we're hungry let's see if let's see if you if you lived in the first century church if what the word is saying to us today would have been of importance 1 John 2 and8 now you got to remember this would probably probably be some 60 to 70 years after the crucifixion some 60 to 70 years after the church was founded on the day of Pentecost first John chapter 2: 18 the Apostle John who was probably in his 90s said little children it is the last time and as you have heard that Antichrist should come even now are there many Antichrist whereby you know we know that it is the last time boy a lot of people for prophecy ought to perk up this morning because he said said hey you all have heard that the Antichrist is coming and I'm telling you Antichrist means against Christ he says I I I I want you to know that there are many Antichrist that's already here whereby we know that it's the last time verse 19 where did these antichrists come from they went out from us but they were not of us for if they had been of us they would have no doubt have continued with us us but they went out that they might be made manifest they were not of us now what what what why did they leave you John and and just talk to your Bible your Bible will talk back to you if you'll talk to it it'll talk back to you John why did they leave you why were they among you and then why did they leave you verse 20 but we have ye have an unction from the Holy One and know all things that word unction there is like a burst of power you have an unction I'm going to tell you we we felt it a few moments ago we felt it a few moments ago when truth kept clicking together until it gave you a picture and a spirit of worship you remember that a few moments ago a spirit of worship you know what that's really called unction he said we have got a truth that gives us unction it gives us it gives us that boost of energy but you ye have an unction from the Holy One and ye know all things I have not written unto you because you have not known the truth but because you know it and that no lie is of the truth John why did they leave you because they begin to present lies why did they leave you John because truth and this is it you don't have to preach error preach truth truth will re R error right so so we we don't just preach error we preach truth and truth will reveal error he says I want you to know that no lie is of the truth and then he's going back to why they left verse 22 who is a liar who is this liar but he that denied that Jesus is the Christ he's the liar when you say that he is not the Christ the anointed he is Antichrist well who is Antichrist that denieth the father and the son whosoever denieth the son the same hath not the father but he that acknowledges acknowledgeth the son hath the father also when they were preaching that Jesus Christ was both God and man heresy arose people begin to say he wasn't a man at all he was an angel that was a popular belief in that day that that Jesus Christ was just simply an angel he was not an angel angels cannot redeem us and then they said Jesus Christ was nothing but a man he was not V Virgin birth he was nothing but a man if he was only a man he was as sinful as we are and unable to redeem us so they begin to deny that he had come from the Father the essence and was the source of life and that old John said I'm going to tell you you're waiting on an antichrist to put a stamp on your head he's already here messing with the identity of the Lord Jesus Christ and you can't say that Jesus is not God and wrap your hands around Abraham as your father because if you deny the son the same denies the father oh I hope you've seen this today how is this if I deny one I deny the other look at verse 23 again whosoever denieth who who soever deny the son the same hath not the father If you deny the son you don't have the father is that what you're reading that's what I'm reading you deny the son verse 23 the same hath not the father but he that acknowledges the son have the father also look at that If you deny the son you don't have the father but if you accept the son for who it is you have the father you have the father look at Matthew 11:27 with me please please listen to Matthew 11:27 all things are delivered unto me of my father and no man knoweth the son look at that no man knoweth the son but the father neither knoweth any man the father save the son and to whom other the son will reveal him he says the son will reveal the father look at this the flesh the flesh The Source will reveal the essence he says the source will reveal the essence now the son keep that in mind the son will reveal the father go to Matthew 16:16 somebody say praise the Lord and Simon Peter answered and said Thou Art the Christ the son of the Living God verse 17 Jesus answered and said unto him blessed art thou Simon bar Jonah for Flesh and Blood it not revealed it unto thee but my Father which is in heaven look at how the father and the son work together the son The Source will reveal the essence the father and the Father the essence will reveal the source the son and these three Jesus said it in John I and my father are one not two separate beings but we're one we are the source and we are the essence come on Praise Him Right Now Praise Him we walk after his Commandments folks don't fall for this cheap greasy Grace in gospel lace oh we just love one another here at our church well we do too oh we just we promote love we love we love all preacher got up and started preaching against the way that you live and you know you love one another and you can come on down here Church don't fall for that don't fall for that he said you've heard the Commandment from the beginning that we love one another but it don't stop there verse six and this is love everybody say those four words and is love that we walk after his Commandments this is the Commandment that as you have heard from the beginning you should walk in it now watch him again you see what's on his mind for many deceivers are entered into the world who confess not that Jesus in its infancy and he tried to kill the church and you know how he did it he tried to infiltrate it inject it with false Doctrine about the identity of Jesus Christ boy I got him treed today and he knows I got in treat today he tried to inject the identity of Jesus Christ for many deceivers are entered into the world who confess not that Jesus Christ Has Come In the Flesh this is a dece and an father and the son if any man if any come unto you and bring not this Doctrine receive him not into your house neither bid him God's speed for he that bth him God's speed is partaker of his evil Deeds there's people today that have evil Doctrine but they're not evil people they've got evil Doctrine but they're not evil people this is one of the reasons why this pull pit will only have someone who the Sunday of the city preachers pastors exchange pull pits as one said you can Mark First Apostolic off they just won't do that they won't do that and there's a John the Beloved an old man that lived to be in his 90s that's in glory that I hope when I walk through those pearly gates and after I worship my God I hope old glorified John comes over it says thank you Son thank you for keeping the truth you don't have to be mean to them you don't have to be mean to them but you don't have to bring them in your house and you don't have to bid them God speak let me read two more passages of may not be an altar call for backsliders it might not be an altar call for Sinners today this is an alter call for the recommitment of Truth we commit ourselves we recommit ourselves to truth we've
