Praying Out of the Tabernacle | Senior Pastor Kenneth Carpenter

I'd like to ask you remember last Wednesday night I said that the most unusual thing brother Wimberley a very unusual thing in 39 years of pastoring I've never really known far out in the future I've done seminar I've done series of lessons and knew that maybe for the rest of the month I was going to teach on giving or or doctrine but it's the Lord dropped in my heart that for the rest of the year you're going to hear about two things remember you remember two things prayer and show winning prayer and so winning can I tell you you will not be overcome if you will learn how to pray if you will for the next 45 minutes or so if you will give me your undivided attention and you will you will certainly ask God lord I want to know how to pray I I want to know I want to know about this prayer I promise you it will revolutionize it will revolutionize your life your joy will come back your peace will come back your future will enroll to you it will be it will be revealed to you what God and how God wants to use you rest of the year say it with me prayer and so winning let's all say it together again please prayer and soul winning Matthew chapter 6 and verse number 9 and verse number 10. Matthew chapter 6 verse 9 and 10. Jesus said after this manner therefore pray ye Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven praying out of the Tabernacle father I love you tonight Lord I want to know about prayer God is our study to feed this church God I gleaned from it myself Lord I thank you tonight for prayer and I ask you for the next few moments that you would touch me that I would articulate and teach your word that it will find a Hungry Heart on these pews to drink in deeply of your word I'll give you praise and honor in Jesus name we pray amen amen Give the Lord a hand to praise and a good one and a good one as you're being seen prayer prayer is all about developing a relationship with God prayer is all about prayer is all about developing a relationship with God a relationship that will lead you to seeking guidance and direction from God you see some people live in the shallow Waters that prayer is only something you do when you need a miracle prayer is something you do when life falls apart I need an answer Pastor we've got to have God give us an answer we've got to pray but can I tell you that prayer is much much much much deeper than simply getting an answer prayer is about developing a relationship with God but a relationship with God that turns you to seek his Direction that turns you to seek his guidance can I tell you this evening that prayer is an outward sign to God prayer is an outward sign to God that you need his guidance prayer is an outward sign to God when you pray see sometimes people live in the shallow Waters of well I didn't feel anything when I pray I I don't really feel like I got a prayer answered see you need to understand that when you pray it is an outward sign to God that you're telling God I need your leadership I need your guidance the Bible said when you pray say our father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name it's interesting it's interesting that that word name is there look with me in Psalms chapter 31 and verse number three Psalms 31 in verse number three simply says this for thou art my rock and my Fortress therefore thy name's sake Lead Me and guide me psalmist Cries Out he says you're my rock you're my rock now as you study this phrase you're my rock in the Bible he will understand that in Bible days they didn't have road signs they didn't have signs that said 75 north or 75 south or Lexington this way or Atlanta this way so what was their road signs many times the road signs was just large rocks large rocks you knew that you were going the right direction when you came when you would come upon a large rock you knew the plan had been set and so when the psalmist in verse 3 says Thou Art my rock he's really saying you you are my direction I know where I'm going I I feel safe right now that I'm not wondering and then he said you are my rock and you are my Fortress and then he says therefore you're my rock and you're my Fortress that's protection and then he says therefore thy name's sake because of who I am and who I represent I want you to lead me and I want you to guide me now turn with me to Jeremiah chapter 10. in verse number 23. further proof that we need guidance from God further proof that we need direction from God and the only way to get that guidance and the only way to get that direction is through prayer it's through prayer Jeremiah 10 verse 23 O Lord I know that the way of man is not in himself it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps what's this what's Jeremiah saying he's basically repeating the same thing that the psalmist said and they're basically repeating what the Lord was going to say about prayer we don't know how to direct our paths we don't know how to guide our past we if we leave it up to us it is not in man to direct his steps it's not in us to direct our steps now turn with me to the Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 13. one of the many reasons we emphasize birth of the spirit is not only for regeneration of Salvation it's not only for that but we emphasize birth of the spirit because look at verse 13 how be it when he the spirit of Truth talk about the Holy Ghost is come what will he do what will he do church he will guide you into all truth so tonight I believe I've got a good foundation to preach about prayer for the purpose not that I need to get an answer I need a relationship I need to develop a relationship with God that leads me to trust him that he has never led me wrong he is always been nothing but good to where I can trust the Lord for guidance in my life I can trust the Lord for the leader leadership that he's going to give when his word tells me things that go against my flesh I can trust the Lord that he's going to lead me in the right direction now the last last week I spoke to you about three things that was in the holy of holies the holiest of holies I spoke to you about three things that lay before the Ark of the Covenant one was the pot of manna the other was Aaron's Rod that miraculously budded blossomed and produced almonds and the third thing was a written copy of the law that God gave Moses not the Ten Commandments that the but the laws that God gave Moses as far as worship all three of these items laid out before the Ark of the Covenant the subject is praying out of the Tabernacle when when I pray in my prayer time I start in the holy of holies I start where Jesus said when you pray say Our Father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name and so I start in my mind I am in through the name of Jesus I am in the holy of holies we spoke about the pot of manna last week of how God provides for us and God watches for us now tonight we come to the second piece of furniture the second thing that lay there on the ground which was Aaron's Rod that budded now before we go in to Aaron's Rod that budded I want to read one more verse of scripture I want to read one more verse of scripture because we are either being led by the spirit don't you want to be led by the spirit don't you want to be led by the spirit and the word we're either led by the spirit or we're led by our flesh we are either we either have a fleshly mind we are we are processing things through a fleshly mind or we have a spiritual mind that we are processing through a spiritual mind let me read to you Romans chapter 7 and verse number 18. written by the Apostle Paul for I know that in me that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing he says I know that in my flesh in my flesh in my flesh there dwells there dwells no good thing there dwells no good thing in my flesh now we all have to come to understand that tonight there's no good thing in our flesh now I got baptized I'm glad you did I did too but there's no good thing in My Flesh well I've got the Holy Ghost I speak in tongues I do too but I'm telling you there's no good thing in our flesh if you want to get tripped up just forget what I just told you let him that think he stand take heed lest he fall now let's just put the let's just let's just let's just put it out all on our table tonight please a matter of fact I may ask you to put your hand on your chest and let's all say it together for I know that in me that is my flesh dwelleth no good thing all right so let's just settle that right now tonight we've been baptized we've had the Holy Ghost we worship good tonight and oh yes that group of students that came down came out of their pews and stood in the Altar and worshiped God would you please give them a hand tonight wouldn't that wonderful that beautiful now go to the book of numbers with me we find the rod that budded in chapter 17. of the Book of Numbers we find the rod Moses told the 12 tribes to bring a rod for each tribe they were going to lay the rods in the presence of God and God would show who would be the leader God would show who was going to lead Israel is going to show them we know the next morning 11 of the rods were just as dead as they were when they were brought in the night before except Aaron's rod Aaron's Rod had budded blossomed and there was almonds hanging on it these three stages it budded blossomed and had almonds on it and that Rod determined that Aaron's tribe would be the leaders for Israel now I I I can't really teach you number 17 and you really won't know the value of the rod that budded until you have a concept until you have a concept of Numbers chapter 16 of Numbers Chapter 16. it's ugly it's ugly in Numbers Chapter 16. everybody say it's ugly it's ugly you know can I tell you why it's ugly because it deals with flesh and flesh left unchecked by prayer will lead to ugly situations ugliness in your life ugliness in your marriage ugliness in your family ugliness around you because flesh left unchecked it's just it's it's it's just it's just ugly okay it's just ugly Numbers Chapter 16. let's begin reading it verse number one now Korah the son of assar the son of kohath the son of Levi and Nathan and a Byram the sons of iliab and on the sons of pileth Sons of Aaron took me in now I want you to make a note I want you to make a note and I believe I'll remind you about it when we get to this verse but I want you to say now one man say it with me one man this whole chapter here starts with one man with one man verse number two they rose up before Moses was certain of the children of Israel 250 princes of the assembly famous in the congregation men of renowned and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron and said unto them ye take too much upon you seeing all the congregation Are Holy every one of them and the Lord is among them wherefore then lift up lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the Lord now here's where just put your finger on that verse four but here's where I need you I need your help tonight I'm not going to preach or teach about rebels in the pews okay and Rebels coming against um the authority of the pulpit I'm not going to preach that and I'm going to tell you for 39 years I've been blessed to have a church that has never risen up against biblical pastoral Authority and that is the gospel truth now if you're not going to teach on that then what are you going to teach on well there's this man named Cora and this man named Cora was in the flesh and this one man and you'll see it in I believe it's verse 23. this one man in the flesh stirred up other men men Nathan in a Byram 250 princes to come against Moses Moses Korah came against Moses and Korah said he you take too much you have lifted yourself up above the people and all of us Are Holy here's what I want to share with you tonight Cora represents the flesh Moses represents the spirit now I want you to listen to the statement tonight there's a Cora in all of us there's a Korah you know just a moment ago when I had you pat your chest and say for I know that in me there dwelling no good thing there's a Korah in every one of us but just as sure as there's a fleshly man in every one of us there's a Moses in every one of us there's a spiritual man what we have to decide through prayer is who is going to rule us Cora or Moses I believe after I read the 16th chapter tonight you're going to say blessed Lord Jesus let Moses leave me I don't want to let my flesh Lead Me so Cora he brings these men and I ended at verse 4. and when Moses heard it he fell upon his face you know why he did he knows the price of rebellion he knows the price of rebellion rebellion's ugly Rebellion will promise you Liberty but I want you to know it will deliver bondage to you it'll promise you a bed of roses but it'll take everything away from you Moses knows this and he falls on his face verse 5. and he spake in Decorah into all his company saying even tomorrow the Lord will show who are his and who is Holy and will cause him to come near unto him even him whom he had chosen will he cause to come near unto him he says you're trying to put us all on the same level but he said tomorrow the Lord will show you who he has chosen and he will do this by verse 6 do this take sensors take sensors Cora and all his company sensors represented prayer prayer the lack of it reveals Kura prayer the abundance of it reveals Moses he said go ahead Cora bring your prayer life tomorrow verse 7 put fire therein the censor and put incense in them before the Lord tomorrow and it shall be that the man whom the Lord doth choose he shall be holy ye take too much upon you you sons of Levi in other words he simply said to him the spiritual man said to the fleshly man you're out of control you're you're taking too much you're taking too much upon you you see tonight the flesh will always tell us we're overdoing it with this worship of Jesus Christ but the flesh will be out of control the flesh will will will do you know the flesh it's it's it's amazing it's amazing people that can get up before the break of day to go to a romance sale but oversleep on Sunday morning people that'll get up to dig through somebody's leftovers will have a hard time getting up to come and search through the king's Treasures he said what is it ain't got nothing to do with the preacher being boring ain't got nothing to do with routine you know what's got to do with it's got to do with who's in control is Corey in you Cora likes that rummage sale Cora likes that because in a rummage sale you're never asked really to dig down deep in your spirit and give God some praise you're just looking for a good bargain there so Moses says Moses says back to Cora he says back to Korah there in the seventh verse he said you're out of control Moses said verse 8 and Moses said unto Korah here I pray ye sons of Levi seemeth it but a small thing unto you that the god of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel to bring you near to himself to do the service of the Tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them can I tell you what quora will do can I tell you what a lack of prayer will do in all of our lives he will cause us not to recognize how blessed we are a lack of prayer will cause us to recognize just how blessed we are to have a church to go to just how blessed that we are to have a church and on midweek service we're not full of a bunch of clubs and games and all of that we're coming in the house of the Lord to Worship the Lord games and all of that don't take care of Korra it only Fosters Korah but a good prayer meeting before church and a good praise service before preaching and a good attendance to the word of God that will feed our spiritual that will feed our spiritual man verse 10. and he hath brought thee near to him and all thy Brethren the sons of Levi with thee and ye seek the priesthood also for which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the Lord and what is Moses that you murmur against him let me leave verse 11 for a moment he just said let me tell you what this is all about because the flesh said we want everything on an even level all God's people are holy all God's people are on the same level Moses said the real reason you've come against us is not for us to be on the same level but you want the priesthood also the flesh wants to get in our minds and tell us what spirituality is and isn't the flesh wants to tell us well you went to church tell the preacher to calm down you tithe the flesh will tell you all of this but the real answer is are you a Moses did you worship did you reach down deep inside of yourself and are you seeking God for direction are you seeking God are you seeking God for guidance let me let me continue to go down through this verse 12 and Moses sent to call David in a Byram the sons of iliab which said we will not come now can I tell you that when the flesh begins to rule when the flesh begins to rule it will not only deceive you but the flesh will show itself in Disobedience it will show itself and disobed Nathan or David excuse me in a Byram had seen the mighty works of God in Egypt Nathan in the ballroom had been brought through the Red Sea Nathan and the Byram had seen the mighty hand of God they'd seen Moses raise a stick out over the ocean and divide a Red Sea by the help of God but you see when the flesh begins to rule that same man that brought Deliverance that same mind that you had that said I'm going to the altar if you allow Korah to rule it'll be that same mind that'll say I'm not going I'm not going that same day thing in a Byram that when Moses said let's leave Egypt they were glad to jump on board but now Moses sins for Nathan and Byram to come and listen to what they say they say in verse 12 we will not come up without prayer without Prayer church our flesh not maybe not might without prayer your flesh will turn in to Korah we will not come but now listen to them listen to him talk Disobedience always leads to deception listen to them they say is it a small thing that thou has brought us up out of the land that floweth with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness except thou make thyself all together a prince over us Nathan in a Byram what in the world are you talking about brought you out of the land of milk and honey take your shirt off and look in the mirror to your back it's beaten there's stripes on your back that were placed there by the Egyptian taskmasters some of you don't even have your children because they died early some of you don't even have your wife because she was carried away captain and you are telling me that I have brought you from the land that floweth of milk and honey if we don't pray what we were glad to March out of we'll get deceived and want to go back to we want to go back to that if we don't pray if we don't pray the world will begin to glitter again if we don't pray we'll see the church as the place of onions and leeks and slavery he said what do you mean you didn't bring us you brought us from the land that flow of milk and honey to kill us and now do you want to make a ruler over us moreover thou Hast not brought us into a land that floweth of milk and honey or giveth us inheritance or fields or in Vineyards wilt thou put out the eyes of these men we will not come up now watch it now they go from disobedience to deception to deception about Moses about Egypt you brought us out of the land flow of milk and honey why didn't the world's wrong with you but then watch watch this they turned Moses into a cruel man they said what are you going to do put our eyes out isn't it amazing if we go prayerless we can see spiritual activity as cruel spiritual activity is cruel lives pastor friend of mine one time told me that that they were having vacation bible school and he said I had some youth in the church some young kids and said their dad wasn't really praying like he should wasn't living for God like he should and praying like he should coming to church Cora comes to church coming to church but he got so mad his boy got up there crying his girl got up there crying under conviction and he got mad and walked into the midst of that Vacation Bible School and jerked his kids up out of the altar and said that's this is a little bit much kids don't need to be crying kids it's a Happy Time for Kids they need to be crying I'm gonna tell you what you did Cora those kids are not in church today I wonder Cora if you'd have been a Moses like the rest of some of us are here we love when our kids get under conviction we love we'll talk about it we'll text it around hey hey are our little ones talking about getting baptized Pastor hey our little one got the Holy Ghost Pastor that's music to our ears that's music to a Moses's ears when the little one we let them cry let them let them cry we don't watch it Cora will make us appear to be cruel verse verse 7. verse number 15. and Moses was very rough and said unto the Lord respect not thou their offering I have not taken one ass from them neither have I hurt one of them you know Moses said there can I let me just say because I'm going back and forth I don't want you to see a person hearing a person there I don't want you to see Corey here and Moses here I want you to see there's a core inside of us if you have a quarry inside of you you're not going to get a prayer answered David said if I regard iniquity in my heart God you will not hear me when I pray folks that's the Bible First Apostolic of Maryville tonight that's the word of God don't be deceived if you are allowing akorah to rule your heart you can pray all day long but you're not going to get a prayer through it's only when you allow Moses the spiritual man to say created me a clean heart o God and renew within me the right spirit let the words of my mouth and let the meditations of my heart be acceptable unto thee oh God oh God wash me and cleanse me how often do you pray that prayer Bella Carpenter ever a day ever day ever day every day you know why I want Moses to rule my life I don't want to have the ugliness of Korah I want Moses to rule my life verse 16. Moses said unto Korah be thou and all thy company before the Lord thou and they and Aaron tomorrow and take every man is sensor and put incense in them and bring ye before the Lord every man is censored 250 sensors thou also and Aaron each of him is censored and they took every man and sensor and put fire in them and lay in sincere on and stood in the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation of Moses with Moses and Aaron and Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation now I want you to get the imagery here because the flesh gathered all against the spiritual man and pressed him at the door of the Tabernacle can I tell you the real battle for spirituality is fought on Wednesday nights Sunday mornings and Sunday nights your flesh will press you your flesh will press you just as hard as it can press you Moses your flesh will try everything from cell phone distractions to people that don't come to church a bit more to worship God than a man in the moon I can't I guess maybe you could read me as paracetical I can't imagine people that would come to church with anything else but Jesus on their mind well I thought I'd get more response I I can't I I can't I can't imagine people I can't imagine how far away from God you are how far away from God you are that you would go to church be oblivious to worship be oblivious to being broken in the presence of God Cora don't want to be broken Corey don't want to be broken Coral wants to have that smug got it all together look Moses Moses has said God I need you God God I I've got to have you God I I I've got to have you and the battle starts in the house of God Tonight Tonight your Korah will push you all the way up don't you raise them hands don't you dare consider having a prayer life tune him out he's getting old can't you see how gray-headed he is tune him out he don't relate to me anymore tune him out you better not tune me out because there's some ugliness that's coming your way there's some ugliness that's coming your way there there's some things if you don't get Cora subdued if you don't get Korra under your feet there's some things that are going to take place in your life in your marriage in your children that you're going to come running begging for more oh Moses Moses Moes pushed them all the way to the door and can I tell you something they pushed them all the way to the door and there's a time when God steps in if you will stand for God God will stand with you I said if you will stand with God will stand with you when you're standing you think that God where are you at just keep standing I believe I hear a scripture that says stand therefore and having done all to stand what what's the next what's the next word God do everything can to stand you know why Moses keep on standing because it's not maybe God will show up it's just when God shows up God will only let that flesh push you so far but if you'll stand up if you'll keep saying Jesus I love you Jesus I magnify you Jesus I glorify you all of a sudden God says I'm going to step in and most of the time that's when you go to talking in tongues that's when you go to feeling the Holy Ghost and the flesh that has you the Korah that has you beat down is now under your feet he's not in your face he's under your feet and your are y'all understanding what I'm saying tonight are you really understanding what I'm saying tonight verse 19 and Corey gathered all the congregation against them under the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation and the Lord spake unto Moses and into Aaron saying separate yourselves from among this congregation that I may consume them in a moment and they fell upon their faces and said oh God the god of the spirits of All Flesh shall one man sin y'all remember when I first started y'all remember when I first started did I tell you to say one man you gotta you got an entire nation stirred up over one man can I tell you you really need to see both sides of the coin one man one woman can stir up a lot of trouble or one man or one woman can stir up a lot of blessings I think I know which you want to stir up one man or one woman can stir a lot of trouble up one man or one woman can take a whole family out of church or one man or one woman can put a whole family in church one man or one woman can rob the youth class of sons and daughters but one man and one woman can put many use inside of that youth class it's just which one you want to be do you want to be a Cora tonight or do you want to be a Moses tonight they fell on their faces and said oh God oh God the god of the spirits of All Flesh shall one man sin and will thou be wrath with all the congregation and the Lord spake unto Moses saying speak into the congregation saying get you up from about the Tabernacle of Cora dathan and a Byram get away from their houses get away from their houses he says he says you tell the congregation to get away from houses that are fleshly driven and Moses rose up and went unto Nathan in a Byram I guess they ain't going to come to him he's got to go to them and the Elders of Israel followed him and he's spoken of the congregation saying depart I pray you from the tents of these Wicked Men Touch nothing of theirs lest you be consumed in all their sin and they get up from the Tabernacle of Cora David and a Byram on every side and David and a Byram came out and stood in the door of their tents and their wives and their sons and their little children listen to one man if I say one man one man and now you got three families standing at their front door with their wives their sons and their little children and I believe as we research this verse 27 there's a difference made between sons and little children more than likely that's their grandchildren and Moses said hereby shall you know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works for I have not done them of my own mind if these men die the common death of all men or if they be visited after the visitation of all men then the Lord hath not sent me in other words here's what he said he said if they all die of natural causes if nothing happens to these men if they die of natural causes if they live a long time and die of natural causes I put my calling on the line God has not sent me but if the Lord make a new thing and the Earth opened her mouth and swallow them up with all that I pertain unto them and they go down quick into the pit at work quick there means they go down alive into the pit then shall you understand that these men have provoked the Lord and it came to pass as he had made an end of speaking all these words that the ground claim a Sunder that was unto them the Earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up and their houses and all the men that appertained unto Korah and all their goods they and all that appertained to them went down alive into the pit and the Earth closed upon them and they perished from among they perished from among will you bring me something lay on my pages of my Bible tonight I I got to hold these Pages down where am I reading at right now verse number 34 um and all of Israel thank you thank you brother thank you brother Noah and all of Israel and all verse 34 and all of Israel that were round about them fled at the Cry of them for they said lest the Earth swallow us up also and there came out a fire from the Lord and consumed the 250 men that offered incense and the Lord said unto Moses speaking to eliezar the son of Aaron the priest that he take up the sensors out of the burning and Scatter thou the fire Yonder that they are that for they are hallowed the sensors of these Sinners against their own Souls let them make them broad plates for coverings of the Altar for they offered them before the Lord therefore they are hallowed and there shall be a sign unto the children of Israel and aliaser the priest took the Brazen sensors wherewith they were we're with they that were burnt had offered and they were made broad plates for the covering of the altar to be a memorial under the children of Israel that no stranger which is not of the seat of Aaron come near to offer incense before the Lord that he be not as Kura and as his company as the Lord said to him by the hand by the hand of Moses now let me let me let me stop right here for a moment and and I know this is not a this this is not a message this is not a message you want to hear but it's a message you need to hear because it deals with our flesh and and can I tell you the one thing that has caused everybody that has ever backslidden out of church there's only one thing that causes it prayerlessness don't talk to me about this sin don't talk to me about that sin oh they they didn't like the standards oh they didn't like this no no no that's all the excuse the reason is they were not praying and they allowed their mind to become a core of mine and not a Moses mind now now look at this I told you it's an ugly chapter it's an ugly chapter you've got you've got three families that are standing there can you imagine can you can you imagine standing there can you imagine standing there with with with your wife can you imagine standing there with your wife and can you imagine standing there with your sons and can you imagine standing there with your grandchildren at the door because a fleshly mind will cause you to be deceived the the the church the word is my enemy that old outdated book called The Bible That's warping people's minds today preaching on the Rapture listen you preach on the Rapture and they'll blow the internet up that that you're you're trying to warp the youth group's mind you're trying to put anxiety on it we ought to have anxiety about the rapture we ought to be thinking about the folks the Lord is coming you hear me the Lord is coming this might be outdated preaching but I'm here to tell this church that the Lord is coming you you better get you better put Cora under your feet tonight and you better say come on Moses can you imagine you may brother not only come on back over here for a minute I'm gonna dismiss in just a minute can you imagine standing there you got your family standing there defiant to Moses and then you got 250 men over here with their sensors which was prayer and they're standing there and Moses says if these die if they die a natural cause God has not sent me but if the ground open up and no sooner right you you heard it as they were standing there probably smug probably smugged probably smug probably when Moses said would everybody raise their hands they didn't have to raise their hand I raised my hands when I want to I'm a man's man you ain't man enough to worship real men worship real men worship I get a little tickled sometimes we go down to this exercise place in the mall and I don't go to lift weights that's obvious but they got mirrors Uncle Kip they got mirrors all over that place and there's guys in there lifting weights but what tickles me is they want to look at themselves and I'm over here I'm doing the preaching all right but isn't it amazing that's totally acceptable but old Cora doesn't got in your head that to come to church and have a man say would you lift up your hands would you gather up around the altar with me his Pew is good enough back here I can stand right here yeah you can Cora you can be just as smug as you can be dude dude and do that all right Cora and Kirk Carey all right I wonder if how smug he was until the ground started and then all of a sudden the ground opens up you say you really believe that happens happen the ground opened up core his wife his son and the Bible even says they were crying they just they didn't just fall down they were Claw on the walls they were crying Help Us save us but no sooner the pit received them it closed back up the Earth everybody said the Earth you say does that happen today it does Earth fleshly what are we made of we're made of the Earth new flesh is closing up on us as we stand with our families and then no sooner had they sunk down into the Earth and the Earth had shut itself up their tents no longer stood there vacant Lots were there it was all empty and it all settled back down fire came out of the holy of holies fire came out and consumed the men that carried the 250 uh sensors and then God said to elieza he said go pick up the sensors or round bowls he said cut them in two and beat them flat and then nail them to the altar that they may be a memorial to everybody let me tell you something anybody that you have seen lose out with God ought to be an inspiration to you to live for God every batch lighter you see every backslider you see every backslider you hear on Facebook ought to cause you to get office oh God that could be me I don't want to get in that mind of Korra I don't want to get in that mind of course every time you may be seated for just a moment every time they went to the altar they were reminded that better women than me have fallen into sin better men that may have fallen into sin better people that's why I want to preach to you you've got to have a prayer life you've got to have a Moses it's not about getting an answer if you lose your job or getting an answer if your kid gets on go it's about developing a relationship with God that you're seeking for his direction of God it's an ugly motherly it's an ugly chapter it's an ugly chapter but chapter 17. God said Moses I want you to put them rods in that house and the man that I choose the man that I choose to lead you Dave and Byram is not going to lead you Cora is not going to lead you but you're going to have proof positive who should lead you and when they brought out that Rod of Aaron that priesthood that Rod that did three things budded blossomed and bore almonds all right it budded blossomed and bore almonds can I tell you that prayer is good for the beginner budded and prayer is good for them to that's been at it for a little bit blossomed and prayer is good for the 50 year old prayer Warrior that's produced the almonds it's good for all of us the preaching of the word is good for those new converts that just got baptized it's good for those that have been in church five years but yes it's good for those that have been in the house of God for 50 years stand with me tonight staying with me tonight now I'm just simply going to ask you every time you sit out to have a daily prayer life two voices are in your head one is Moses and one is Korah whether your family is going to be a beautiful family or your family is going to end up in ugliness it all started do I not have book for this it all started with what one man the ugliness in your in your life starts with one man who simply listens to Korah simply listens to that voice but I'm persuaded tonight I I just believe that I Pastor a church full of a bunch of Moses's I I really do tonight I I may have a quora or two treat here tonight and I hope to God they get out of that tree and get to the Altar and get their life together because if they don't it's going to end up ugly for them it's going to you're going to go through things you never listen don't tell me it's the will of God don't die I hear people say a lot of time well the will of God that I'm in this hospital no it wasn't a will of God that you went out and got intoxicated or you went out and got high and drove your car into a telephone pole and broke your back you're laying on don't tell me it's the will of God it's the consequences to your sin now it may be the mercy of God that you're still alive but it wasn't the will of God I am telling you tonight I'm trying to stop preaching but there's just something boiling over there's a lot of ugly stuff God wants to spare us from but just going to a church where the pastor prays ain't gonna get it I'm praying for my listen I'll pray for you but I can only pray for you to come to the trough I can't make you drink I can pray I can I can create the atmosphere through prayer but I can't drag you down to this Altar and make you drink come on Church let's tell Cora goodbye once and for all we got to have a Moses raise up in our life right now let's just take a couple of moments could we all just gather around the altar tonight just for a couple of moments God I want to live the way you want me to live God I want to be a Moses god I want to yield myself to you God God I want I've got to have a prayer of God I've got to have the guidance of the Holy Ghost Lord I've got to have guidance in my life God Jesus Jesus Jesus come on just for another moment or so let's pour out God it all started with one man oh yes I want to ask you Church I want to ask you to make prayer first I want to ask you to make prayer first and what makes prayer first is the first thing of the day make prayer the first thing when you get up in the morning make prayer the first thing if it means you got to set the alarm clock a little early you'll hear two voices oh yes you will you hear the voice of Moses it's real strong right now but I promise you if you normally your alarm clock set for 5 30 you have to get up at 5 30 and make it to work tonight instead of going to bed with 5 30. won't you go to bed with it at 5 15. in those 15 minutes is for you and God to talk and just commune thank him for the day thank you for what's going to happen address issues of your life and struggles of your life now I promise you you'll probably hear you'll probably hear from Cora as you're setting that dial tonight you'll probably hear from Cora but if you could somehow see that one man can determine whether a whole household will come to church one man May determine whether his kids have a spiritual appetite or they have no appetite at all just one just one man thank you for
