well if you have your Bibles and would remain standing with me and would join me in the Book of Proverbs Chapter number 16 verse number 18 The Book of Proverbs and uh I know that we have been a little inundated tonight with different announcements with Easter just around the corner and say I I've got some names on my card also that that I've got some commitments I've got some commitments of course um I kind of use a different different approach I just met a couple in the mall today and I said hey I want to see you Easter Sunday morning they said yes sir we'll be there and so uh try my method if it don't work try your Method All right but uh remember that but also remember uh your mission recommitment that we want to turn in this coming Sunday and this is going to help us to know as we tally all of these up together as a church it's going to help us to know our mission's budget uh for the next 12 months and so we we we'll kind of know where we're at and what we can do uh having said that I do covet your prayers uh first lady and I will be leaving in the morning very early uh to go to Honduras and then we'll be there uh tomorrow we'll get there we'll get there sometime tomorrow evening and then Friday night um they're having an open air Crusade they told me today said don't worry said uh uh we're having it in the evening said it's uh around 100 uh plus degrees during the day but said it gets down in the 80s at night so uh we're going to have a good time we're going to have a good time promoting the kingdom there amen and so that I ask for you all to pray for us and then we will turn right around and uh the Lord willing we'll be right back here Sunday morning ready to do it all over again amen you aren't you thankful you know never get tired of church never get tired of never get tired of church um after I read my text and we have our customary prayer over the word would you please remember brother Dwayne Callaway it's brother and sister Callaway's son um I went to UT hospital hospital today he is having part of his foot amputated and there's several there's several complications that have set in but uh do we know the Miracle Worker tonight we know that please lift up please lift up that name but let's go to the Book of Proverbs For a Moment The Book of Proverbs chapter 16 and verse number 18 Pride goeth Before Destruction and a halty spirit before a fall better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud another reading from Proverbs Proverbs Chapter 11 and verse number two and someone say praise the Lord pise the Lord Proverbs 11 and verse number two when Pride cometh then cometh shame but with the lowly is wisdom one more reading from Proverbs tonight Proverbs Chapter 13 and verse 10 only by Pride cometh contention only by Pride cometh contention but with the well advised is wisdom we'll get into my title a little bit later but I'm going to minister tonight on prideful King Saul prideful King Saul Heavenly Father tonight we come before you we hold your precious word in our hands and Lord we want to hear the word tonight we want the word to lead us and guide us and we want the word to speak to us tonight yes that's what we want Lord we want your word to speak to us tonight Lord we want your word Lord to find us where we're at lord lord your word is the only true thing that we have and Lord we want your word tonight to speak to us God and Lord I pray that you would use the vessel tonight that carries the word and you would anoint it that Lord I could feed your sheep and father I I pray tonight for Dwayne Callaway I ask you Lord to touch his body God and Lord the infe God that's in his body right now I pray for Lord Dwayne tonight I pray for his mom and dad brother Callaway pray Lord that you would touch them and strengthen them God God we'll give you the praise and give you the honor in Jesus name we pray amen amen you may be seated tonight thank you for standing in honor of the reading of God's word pride pride pride is the cancer the terminal cancer to a spiritual life it is the terminal cancer to a spiritual life Pride liken liken to cancer there's many times that Pride can be in your life much like cancer can but you don't realize that it's there until it's too late that cancer called Pride what exactly is pride when we use the word pride what are we talking about simple definition in my opinion of pride is to believe in one's heart that you are superior to believe in one's heart that you are superior and because of that way of thinking which will soon develop into an attitude you you you think in your heart you are superior just a little bit better that thinking turns into an attitude an attitude that you can only see and believe and promote yourself that's why people that have pride are self centered people they are self-centered people they think of no one other than themselves that's Pride it it exalts it exalts promotes lifts up only sees it only sees itself it only sees itself only three readings from Proverbs tonight I could have used many more throughout the scripture but I believe three should be sufficient for us to know that pride is a Bad Thing pride is something that you need to really check and I need to check and always make sure that we're not operating in a prideful way because my first reading said that Pride goeth Before Destruction Pride goeth before d destruction Pride will cause you to believe that the highway is clear and the prosperity is clear Pride fails to inform you that you're on a dead end road to destruction I uh Pride Grew Up Before Destruction if we only had that one verse in the in the Bible it would be enough to stay away from you realize that Pride opens the door to destruction and uh if there's destruction if there's destruction there is a destroyer and we know who he is if there's only one verse I would read that would be enough but let's throw in Proverbs 11 and two again when Pride cometh when Pride cometh and we know that Pride goeth Before Destruction that ought to be enough that ought to be enough enough to arrest our attention tonight but then it says when Pride cometh then come then cometh Shame Shame Shame Pride will temporarily promise you an emotion of being number one but Pride will soon deliver you a great container of Shame there is two verses and if if if that if that was enough we could stop there and we would say hey I don't want Pride because destruction would be in my path and we could say hey I don't want Pride to come into my life because Pride's only going to produce shame in my life shame and then Proverbs 13 and10 says only only by Pride cometh contention you'll notice something people that have pride in their life are some of the most contentious people you'll ever get around they're contentious they uh they're they're just always because most of the time they're contentious because you don't see them like they see themselves and so there's there's contention there few examples I should give you about Pride people that that started out well and ended up terribly because the pride Isaiah 14 and verse number 12 we're going to talk about Lucifer we're going to talk about one of the created cherubims one of the created angels of God and the Bible says in Isaiah 14 and2 how art thou f fallen from Heaven oh Lucifer how did you fall so far how did you fall so far how did you fall all the way from Heaven oh Lucifer son of the morning how art thou cut down to the ground which did weaken the Nations how did this happen how did someone fall so far how did they fall how did you fall all the way from he from Heaven how did you how did you with such power to weaken the Nations how did it happen verse 13 a good God would let us in on how he fell so far for thou Hast said in thine heart I will Ascend into heaven I will exalt my throne above the stars of God now watch this Satan was one of an inumerable number of angels and so Pride started when he said I will Ascend in heaven I will exalt my throne above the Stars first I will exalt my throne above the other angels I will exalt my throne above them I will sit upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the north I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will be like the most high do do you realize that the DNA and the root of pride is to make yourself equal to God is to make yourself equal to God did he not say that my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways they're higher my ways are higher than the earth and so when Pride begins to come in obviously when when Pride become comes in then this book becomes like a cafeteria line where you take your tray of life and you move through the line and you pick what you want and leave the other left there because Pride puts your thoughts and your words equal to God's thoughts and God's words I will be like the most High verse 15 and it happened yet Thou shalt be brought down to Hell to the sides of the pit Jesus testified being God the Eternal God robed in flesh he said I beheld Satan as he fell from heaven like lightning you see pride will really take you in the opposite direction Pride will not Elevate you Pride will not exalt you Pride will bring destruction to you Pride will not Prosper you Pride will bring destruction to your life Pride will not give you the emotions that you think that you that you're going to live off of the emotions of the Applause or what have you Pride will bring you Pride will bring you to shame Pride will not cause everybody to want to be around you much on the contrary Pride will make you a contentious individual that no one will want to be around I don't know about you tonight but I want you to go on the journey with me because I'm reading these scriptures tonight and I'm saying oh God I want to do a checkup I want to make sure that I don't ever operate in that ugly spirit that ugly Spirit of Pride it was another man another king that allowed Pride to get in his life and I'm going to tell you that we serve a good God and we serve a blessing God we serve a a God that gives us so many good things but we just have to be very careful to always give God praise oh that's another thing that's another thing that you'll probably find people with pride are not worshippers because they actually worship internally because they worship themselves all right so people that have pride they're they're they're really never praisers because why should I praise why should I praise God when I've got it all together so here's a king that was blessed of God we find him in Daniel chapter number four chapter 4 and verse number 29 this is where we find This Man Called Nebuchadnezzar a mighty king it says in verse number 29 of chapter 4 at the end of 12 months he walked and it's talking about Nebuchadnezzar he walked in the Palace of the kingdom of Babylon the king spake and said is not this great Babylon that I have built for the house of the Kingdom by the might of my power and for the honor of my Majesty now I'm going to tell you he he got to surveying all that he had he got to looking out over his vast Kingdom he got to looking out over all the houses he got to looking out and again I'm going to he got to looking out over all of his material things he began to look out over all of his material things and he laid claim to it he called it his and he even he even began to talk about look at what I have done can I tell you God has nothing against us having things but God certainly does have something against things having us or we looking at things and believing that by our our ability we got this and I I understand we work hard and I understand all that but it was God that gave you the strength to work hard you wouldn't even be here without God it's he that have made us amen it's he that have made us would even be here I heard a story of two s to a scientist that it's just a story that challenged God to a contest of creation and uh the scientist said I believe I can create better than you God and uh God said okay that we we'll have a contest and God said scientist I'll let you go first the scientist reached down and scooped up some dirt and God said uh uh uh uh use your own stuff do you realize it's his air we breathe so I got the deed to the property over here I got to tell you you may have the deed to the property but it is the Lord that owns the earth and the fullness thereof so it's his air we breathe we're living in bodies that he made so this Nebuchadnezzar he he he began to really this is my kingdom my Majesty verse 31 while the word was in the king's mouth there fell a voice from Heaven saying oh King neb Nebuchadnezzar to thee it is spoken the kingdom is departed from thee and they and and they shall Drive thee from men and thy dwelling shall be with the Beast of the field they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen seven times shall pass over thee until thou know that the most high ruleth in the heavens of men and giveth it to whomsoever he will the same hour was the fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar he was driven from men he did eat grass as oxen his body was wet with the de of Heaven till his hairs were grown like Eagle's feathers his nails like bird Claws and at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven and my understanding returned unto me and I blessed the most high I praised and honored him that liveth forever whose Dominion is an Everlasting dominion and his kingdom is from generation to generation and all the inhabitants of the Earth are reputed as nothing and he doeth he doeth according to his will in the army of Heaven among the inhabitants of the earth and none can stay his hand or say unto him what doest thou at the same time my reason returned unto me and for the glory of my kingdom my honor and my brightness returned unto me my counselors my lords salt unto me I was EST established in my kingdom and an excellent and excellent Majesty was added unto me now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the king of Heaven all whose works are truth and his ways judgment and those that walk in Pride he is able to obey hey like he threw that in there he said I got so prideful I started claiming that I built this and I did this and I made this and it's by my power I did look what I'm doing look what others are not doing he said I I did all that but then all of a sudden God took his mind and he dropped down on all fours and he started acting like an ox and the counselors the the the the men in his kingdom come and got him and let him out back behind the palace and he ate grass like an oxen and he slept and the rains fell down on him and he acted like an animal until one day he looked up and he acknowledged the god of heaven and when he acknowledged the god of Heaven God gave him his mind back God gave him his kingdom back but this time he's a man that's thankful for what he's got this time he's praising and exalting the Lord this time he's a different man he's not looking out over his palaces saying look what I've done he's looking out saying oh praise be unto God isn't the Lord good to us oh oh praise be unto God isn't the Lord so so good to us Nebuchadnezzar prideful King Saul prideful King Saul let me just take a moment right now lift our hands thank God for how good he's been to us tonight you just add a little volume to that voice right now oh just give him some praise prideful King Saul Pride ful King Saul oh prideful King sa I I sure hope you're on a Pew with people praising God right now I sure hope if if you're sitting beside somebody that's been baptized in Jesus name and filled with Heaven Sweet Holy Ghost I sure hope they're praising God right now and I sure hope they're worshiping God right now because God's been so good to us oh oh God's been so good to us I come on God's been so good to us come come on church God God's been so good to us when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all that he's done for me my soul Cries Out hallelujah thank God for saving me oh you're good you're so good you're so good you're so good you're so good you're so good prideful King Saul prideful King Saul let's jump in let's jump jump into his life in 1 Samuel 10:26 let's jump into shortly after he's anointed king let's jump into his life right here 1 Samuel 10:26 and Saul also went home to giba and there went with him a band of men whose Hearts God had touched and I'm going to tell you something one way to be prideful is to run with prideful people one way to be a praiser is to set with praisers well Saul you've started out so well can anybody see how he starts out so well what do you think what do you think about this B hand of men what makes him special brother Sullivan whose Hearts God had touched the word band there means Circle you know if you're going to surround yourself with the right people surround yourself with people whose heart God has touched well if I want to run with some people I want to run with some people whose heart God and touched then this three chapters later something happened we don't hear about these men anymore really in scripture three chapters later in 1st Samuel 13 verse number one Saul reigned one year and when he had reigned two years over Israel Saul chose him 3,000 men of Israel I going to tell you something there's more power power in a band of praying men and thousands of men in an army what's wrong Saul Saul chose him 3,000 men of Israel whereof 2,000 were with Saul in mmh and in Mount bethl and a thousand were with Jonathan in giba of Benjamin and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent SE several things I see here you'll always know about prideful people they always want more than what you get because Saul took 2,000 but he only gave his son a thousand and then Saul evidently pride pride has a way uh of of of you missing the value of people Pride will have you sending people away from you that you really need CU he sends the rest of the people home do you know tonight every person in this room every person in this room is a value to God well you don't know me I don't have to know you you're here you're breathing you got a soul and that soul is so powerful that soul is so valuable that that in God's eyes your soul is worth more than all the gold in Fort KN your soul is worth more and um he just sent the rest of the people home he said really don't need you really don't don't don't need you I'm going to tell you a spirit of Pride on a person will cause people around to feel like they're not needed and they're not wanted he said how do you think it felt y y'all just go home to your tent verse three Jonathan smoked the Garrison of the Philistines that's a Garrison's a troop a number of the Philistines the this is the enemy the Philistines of the enemy that was in giba and the Philistines heard of it and uh now now let me just ask you follow along with me verse three I might just ask verse three and Saul smoke the Garrison of the Philistines that was in giba who smote him huh and Jonathan excuse me and Jonathan smok so who kind of Elementary I kind of want to get you interact kind of Elementary who smoked the Garrison that's right A+ Jonathan smoke the Garrison of the Philistines that was in giba and the Philistines heard of it they are the enemy and Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land saying let the Hebrews hear who blew the trumpet who attacked the Philistines you're still M your A+ a little little lower on the I know I know you're thinking I'm tricking I promise no no trick no tricks no tricks Jonathan smites the Philistines Saul blows the trumpet saying let the Hebrews hear okay here what verse four and all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a Garrison of the Philistines and that Israel also was had an Abomination under the Phil with the Philistines and the people were called together after Saul to gilo look at pride pride is taking the credit for what somebody else has done Pride he blew a trumpet who blew the trumpet Jonathan didn't blow a trumpet it was Jonathan that did the fighting it was Jonathan that had the sword it was Jonathan that was tired from the from from the fighting it was Jonathan that did all this but it was Saul that grabbed the trumpet blew it and said hey I want everybody hear something I have attacked a Garrison well you haven't attacked a Garrison somebody else did it can I can I tell you something I don't care how successful we are here tonight you're here because some somebody helped you to get where you're at you're here because somebody helped you to get to where you're at if you've got a mom and dad that brought you to the house of God don't you ever don't you ever fail to give God the praise that you had a mom and dad that live for God that brought you to church when you couldn't even talk they brought you to church when you couldn't even walk they brought you to church when you didn't even want to go to church they brought you to church and you're here today you're here today yes by the grace of God but you're here today because somebody helped you get here the old saying goes like this if you're walking down the street and see a turtle sitting on top of a fence post it didn't get there by itself so we have to understand Saul takes the credit because pride is beginning pride is beginning to take hold of Saul chapter 14 or excuse me verse number eight I want you to go to verse number eight with me chapter 13 and verse number eight so now youall realize as you read these chapters Jonathan attacked them Saul took the credit for it and the enemy invaded the land why Pride goeth Before Destruction I believe that if Saul could have been humble about that that God could have given the Philistines a spirit of fear and they would say hey we better not go into that land we better stay out of that land but because Pride was involved it opened the door and here they came they came in and Saul realized he was in trouble the Philistines filled up the land filled up the land Saul realizes he's in trouble and you know prideful people most of their decisions are mist mistakes but not all of them but most of them are he makes one right decision he calls for the man of God he calls for the word of God he says hey we're in trouble somebody better to get the prophet Samuel hey we're in trouble we need the prophet to come down here and offer up a sacrifice we are in trouble Prophet sent word back I'll be there in seven days but let's look at verse eight for a moment and he carried seven days AC according to the set time that Samuel had appointed but Samuel came not to gilgal and the people was were scattered from him and Saul said bring hither a burnt offering to me and peace offerings and he offered the burnt offering and it came to pass that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering behold Samuel came and Saul went out to meet him that he might salute him Samuel said and Samuel said what hast thou done and Saul said because I saw that the people were scattered from me and that thou comest not within the days appointed that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Mitch Mitch Mash then said I the Philistines will come down upon me to gilgal and I have not made supplication unto the Lord I forced myself therefore and offered a burnt offering now here's the problem it was against the word of God for anyone other than a priest or a prophet to offer a sacrifice it was against everybody say against it was against the word of God for him to do that but you see people with pride have a funny way of justifying things people with pride also have a tendency not to wait not to wait because I believe a closer examination of the scripture I do believe that the prophet came seven days I just believe he didn't come at the time of day that Saul thought he should have come I do believe he came you see it is a day for 24 hours for 24 hours it is that day it is that day for 24 hours whether it's it's midnight or it's 11:00 p.m. it's still that day so let me tell you something an indicator that Pride may be in your life is when you know something in the word is black and white but you find a way to justify it you find a way that well well well well you didn't come and and and and and I forc myself and all of this saw it would have been better for you to have waited than until you than you getting out of your place place can I tell you tonight that Pride will cause you to get out of your place Pride will cause you to get out of your calling Pride will cause you to justify decisions in your life when really you just need to wait on the Lord I'm going to tell you I have never regretted waiting on the Lord but I sure have regretted getting ahead of the Lord oh I believe he deserves a hand I do got out of his calling he lost the calling that he had can I tell you that Pride will create unsafe places in your life to live when he forced himself and I could read to you the scripture but I I slowly watch the clock back there and I want to stay I want to stay ahead of my my my schedule tonight but the Philistines came into the land after this Samuel bidded Saul farewell the Philistines filled the land and the Philistines organized three groups that came out and did nothing these three groups these three groups came out and did nothing but Rob the land of Israel these three bands the scripture says there was three bands that came out and just went through the land of Israel they robbed them they took from them and then if that's not enough they forced Israel into this ugly season of no Victory but no no defense just merely existing just just merely existing the Philistines came in Pride created an unsafe place the Philistines came in and the Philistines said here's what we're going to do we'll allow Saul to have a sword and Jonathan to have a sword but those are only two men that have a sword those are those are the only two men that have swords now I'm not trying to be political tonight I'm just trying to give you a fact this evening I have witnessed in other countries that have banned guns and how tragic it is when criminals with guns come among people without guns it's tragic it's tragic I'm not trying to be political de see because I believe you can out I believe you can outlaw guns and they'll pick up rocks and go people then you'd have to Outlaw Rock you'd have to Outlaw rocks and then they're taking trucks and cars and running them through crowds what are we going to do Outlaw cars it's not the gun it's not the rock it's not the car it's the evil that's in the person man the Philistines knew it they that they had it right man just you don't have to worry about it I mean all they got a rake and all they got a bunch of farming tools I mean that that that you I can hear them getting in their tents now say just go down there you get anything you want the worst thing happen they'll chase you with a rake and so they they they they push Israel into this ugly ex I don't know about you but I don't want to just exist I don't want to just exist I just don't want to go through life I I just don't I just don't want to go through life we are made for better than just going through life we're made for better than just a routine we're made for better than just living and hoping at 65 we can retire and and I hope I got enough money to last me till my last breath I want to pull ever hair out and I can't do it cuz I'm losing some anyway I I I I want a stream we were made for better than that we were made for the glory of God we were made to be instruments of the glory of God oh yes we were made I'm looking so forward Friday night sister Carpenter to stand there in Honduras in that open meeting and preaching Jesus Christ and water baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost I am I am so looking forward to that because one day when I lay my head down in death I'm going to open it up in the glories of Glory where where God is at oh what a life to live oh what a life to live can I tell you what Pride will do prideful people are unhappy with themselves prideful people don't smile a lot prideful people you hear me tonight you put them feet back out there so I can step on them prideful people are unhappy with themselves and they want they want company they but they can't stand it when you're happy misery loves company they can't stand it because you're happy but the best thing you can do for Pride for people the best thing that you can do is to say to the prideful person I'm not living here I'm not living at this place of no Victory and no defeat I'm I'm I'm not I'm not I'm not living this way the best thing you can start telling yourself I'm going to tell you something else too to prideful people are toxic the Bible says keep not company Proverbs again keep not company with an angry man lest do you learn his ways it's dangerous to keep company with a prideful person because you just might to pick up some of their spirit and you just may be you just may be prideful right along with them prideful people are miserable people prideful people are not happy and they can only run with other people that are not happy but I'm going to tell you count me out take me off of that group text defriend me unfriend me whatever you got to do but I'm not living there he came that we might have life he came that we might have life he came that we might have life and that we might have life more abundant that's the party I'm running with that's the group of people I'm going to run with let me show you something else let me show you something else tonight let me show you something else um um Proverbs 2811 Proverbs 2811 somebody say praise the Lord came that we might have life and might have it more abundantly Proverbs 2811 listen to God and the Lord shall make the plenus in good there's materials in the fruit of thy body that's my kids that's my grand babies amen every let me tell you something I'm I'm looking at it right now grandbabies every grandparent in here smiling right now grand every one of y'all I'm smiling I I I'm smiling right now I'm I'm smiling grand babies we got we got to keep our Magnolia for for for for a couple hours today and and and and and and and grandbabies is a great grandbabies grandbabies grandbabies we get around the table with our with our Magnolia and we s all of us sing to they probably think we're crazy at a restaurant because we start singing through one one one one way to God one one one one way to God she got that little finger one one one way to God baptized in Jesus name can I tell you something that's living man do you hear me I said that's living man I turned and told my son tonight I I turned saw him worshiping God I turned I hugged him I said no a I'm so proud of you buddy I'm G to tell you something money can't buy what's on that front Pew during praise and worship money can't buy it money can't buy it m money money can't buy it money money can't buy it in the fruit of thy body look at that in the fruit of thy cattle in the fruit of thy ground in the land which the Lord swear unto thy fathers to give Thee the Lord shall open up to thee his good treasure the heaven to give rain upon thy land in his season and to bless all the work of thine hand and thou shalt lend unto many nations and thou shalt not borrow and the Lord and the Lord shall make Thee the head and not the tail and thou shalt be above and thou shalt not be beneath if that thou hearken unto the Commandment of the Lord thy God which I command thee this day to observe and to do them I'll make you above and not beneath that's why I work on the terminology how you doing well under the circumstance I'm doing all right we should never be under the circumstance we're on top of the circumstance because we're above and we're not beneath we're the head and we're not the tail we we we we we he he's put a blessing he he came that we might have life and that we might have it more abundant man you can't you can't you can't live any better listen to this Pride will cause you to live way way way below where you should be living it'll cause you to live way below and you think you're really you're a you're really believe that you're really you're you're the tough guy oh you're really the goodlooking gal you know you're really you're living so beneath Mighty God let me be your pastor tonight you're living so beneath where you could be living let me tell you what Pride's going to do to you though let me tell you what Pride's going to do to you now I'm not prophesying I this is uh this is just going to be the law of reaping the law of reaping and sewing pride is going to First Take Your Peace you are not happy and you know you're not happy beneath that mask of you brother Macho beneath that mask that you got beneath that mask that you got SS there's a person that is not at peace you know why Pride took it pride will take your joy Pride will take your contentment and leave you with a spirit of unrest Pride will run your marriage well you finances no no let's stop talking about the symptoms and let's talk about the cause Pride will Ru your marriage Pride thank you y'all may be seated Pride will ruin Pride will ruin your marriage and pride will run your kids off from you little tight in here tonight isn't little little tight right here tonight but I'm here to tell you something if we want peace back lose your pride if you want your joy back lose your pride go back to your first love when you would let it be known I tell you I love God I'm so in love with God I'm in love listen don't I'll come to church early and clean the floor I'll get in the choir I'll teach Sunday school I just love everything we're doing around here man we're making a difference in the Kingdom but you you let sounds like this well I love the Lord and everything I just don't act like some many people up there act well well understand that but you ought to have some signs of life like are you breathing do you have a heartbeat you know I realize everybody's not going to be de demonstrative like I like I am I that's just me and I don't realize that but I think everybody ought to have some forms of worship I I think there ought to be times that your face can be seen going oh God I just love you God I just need you God but you see when you let Pride wrap around you there's a Jonathan in there doesn't need a big crowd or a little crowd he just needs determination that's all God needs you hear me God just needs determination and everything and anything is possible if you just give God your very best God will just come in and take care of the rest they poked their head up the Philistines looked up they begin to taunt them and then one of the Philistines said one of the Philistines said come on down here we'll show you something Jonathan looked down and said the Lord is on our side they jump down and I I love this if you'll read it correctly it really says that Jonathan shoved them down and his armor Bearer slew them that's why you need to get with somebody that's shoving the enemy down so you can come by and put him under your feet you see we we look at these praise and worship team you know what they really did tonight you know what brother wle and his team did tonight they shoved the enemy down but now it's time for us to come through and say I'm going kill the enemy right now what we're doing right now I can't kill him for you I can shove him down tonight but I can't kill him for you you you got to kill it you can't you can't think your Victory is hinging upon me I'm doing everything I can for you to get Victory but you have got to want the victory I can shove him down I can preach faith I can get the Holy Ghost moving in here by put getting in the prayer room and just begging God asking God let your spirit fall all I'm doing is shoving him down but if you want Victory you got to come by and say you know what I I I I'm going I'm going to slay this right now I'm I'm I'm going to slay two men two men two men slew 20 men and then God said I think I'll just let the Earth tremble a little bit and the earth started trembling and the earth started shaking and the Philistines got discombobulated and the Philistines started running out of their tent they saw 20 dead and and and they get discombobulated and the Philistines start fighting among themselves and the ground starts shaking and the Philistines start starts fighting and the other Philistines that are on the outside of the camp they start running because there's some kind of War that's broke out it's crazy it's pandemonium in here Philistines are fighting one another they're running off and Saul begins to hear it and Saul says what in the world is going on and and and and and then Saul brings the Ark of the Covenant they're trying to get a hold of God it gets louder and louder Saul says take your hand off the ark and finally it Dawns on Saul that Jonathan is gone and probably is the cause of this and it gets crazy because prideful people do crazy things you got the enemy running you got a whole multitude I hope I'm not boring you tonight you got the whole see some of us don't know how good we got it but when you got Pride you can't see how good you got it Saul is so blinded by Pride he can't see how good he's got it I mean the enemy's running he's standing on the hill watching the Lord God of Israel liveth Thou shalt surely die crazy crazy but Pride will come calls you not to care anything about the people that you should be willing to lay your life down that's why I had that's
