i would like for you to turn in your bible with me tonight to the book of numbers chapter 13 verse number one brother hassler it is so good it is so good to see you sir so good to see you his wife earlier last year got her graduation papers and went on to what the bible said to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord but the hassle is so good to see you with your hands lifted praising a god who is faithful amen a god who is faithful yes that's right a god who's faithful it'd be a week ago it'd be a year ago next week that kathy our mother took her flight from this world and in that room when we stood around that bed and mom probably didn't have 10 minutes left she stared up i told her i said mom i said let's just get our mind on jesus and mama fixed her eyes on the ceiling and the most pleasant i have never in all the years that i knew my mother i had never seen my mother i had never seen my mother with this look it was the most peaceful look that you could ever imagine a smile came across her face my brother jerry said what's she looking at i said jerry it's not a what it's a who aren't you glad tonight for that blessed hope so good to have the fallons here from the cleveland church tonight could we just say hello to them man they're doing a great work they're doing a great work it's so good to have the and dolls with us tonight and that's right go ahead they going to get back to ireland in jesus name you believe that and i had a precious family a pastor from the johnson city area brother bean and are you here tonight if you're here would you wave your hand he's there on the back brother bean it is so good they pastor a church in the johnson city area and they drove all the way down here to be in church and i've got a book written by an apostolic legend there's an apostolic legend his life was cut short in a car wreck he impacted he was a man that was ahead of his time his name was verbal bean verbal being had a prayer ministry and he taught a lot of prayer matter of fact i've got a book of a sermon right now and i was sitting talking to brother bean the other day and i mentioned to him i said you wouldn't by chance be any kin to verbal being he said well i reckon i would that's my father that's my father and we are so glad to have y'all in the house of the lord tonight please forgive me for having you stand and the lord spake unto moses saying send thou men that they may search the land of canaan which i give unto the children of israel of every tribe of their fathers shall you send a man everyone a ruler among them and moses by the commandment of the lord sent them from the wilderness of peyran all those men were heads of the children of israel go on down to verse 16 if you would please these are the names of the men which moses sent to spy out the land and moses called hoshido the son of nun jehosha or joshua for a few moments tonight the lord has dropped this in my spirit today simple little phrase seeing and saying father i love you tonight lord i do believe that there is a shift in the spiritual winds i do believe tonight lord that there have been battled wearied people that held on and the winds of change are blowing and the gift of faith is operating lord i pray tonight on this first sunday night of 2022. that you would anoint me these are your people lord you died for them you shed your blood for them they are baptized in your name and they are filled with your spirit god i ask that you would help me tonight to preach faith into their hearts that they would become overcomers they would be overcomers in jesus name we pray amen for your seated just give god a praise just there's something about it you may be seated please i hope that you didn't allow it to go by very quickly it's amazing that the lord spoke to moses when he was about to lead israel in to the canaan land not egypt and not the wilderness he's about to establish them as a people it was about to take them into their canaan land but it's interesting that god did something and commanded moses to choose a man from every tribe that were 12 in number to choose a man from every from every tribe and that the men were to go into the land of canaan and they were to search the land they were to search the land they were to see if it had timber they would just to see if the cities were walled and the people there of the land god wanted to know god wanted to know what the people were saying about the land of course israel numbered in the thousands so no one man could no one man could stand and tell the true temperature of the faith of israel it took a leader it took a leader from every tribe a leader from every tribe and it was a command of the lord the lord spoke to moses and commanded that this and for the lack of a better word they were to survey the land they were to survey the land they were to see what kind of land it was they were to simply survey this land i believe with all of my heart that there was a simple phrase that had they really put their spiritual teeth into this phrase anything they saw would not have affected their speech anything they saw would not affect they would say it's found in verse number two the command came in verse one send thou men god says that they may search the land of canaan here it is which i give unto the children of israel now it is already theirs because god said it it already belongs to them it all it already is theirs but god simply wanted to know what they had to say about it god wanted to know i i simply want to know what are you saying about what i have given you what do you say about this what are you saying i believe the lord is interested tonight in what you and i have to say about what he has promised i believe he's interested in in what we would have to say about his promises his promises are sure heaven and earth shall pass away but god's word will be alive when the world is on fire but somewhere in the midst of all that god is interested in what we have to say about this word i do know on one occasion jesus asked the disciples he said hey i am interested who do the men say that i am what who do people say that i am and of course whenever you ask you have a plethora of opinions well some say you're john the baptist world can't come together for nothing some say you're john the baptist some say you're this prophet or that prophet but the lord didn't stop there did he he said but who do you say i am i know what the world says but i'm interested in in i'm interested in what you're saying i believe we're going to turn this year upside down because we're going to start saying the right things about what god has promised because if god promised if god promises it's kind of like this it's kind of like this they miss and i just gotta let this soak in tell them to search the land of canaan which i give unto the children of israel tell them i give them the land i want them to search it it's interesting sometimes god can give us things so simple and plain but we fail the test i was told once that on a a test paper one of the questions was when was the war of 1812 fought the funny thing is there were students in the room that missed it i wonder sometimes if our help isn't just right before our eyes that we could start living our lives no matter how large the giant is regardless of how uphill the land is regardless of all the things that are in the land you walk in the land with the blessed assurance and the blessed confidence from god god already said it's ours god already said it was mine have you seen that giant it doesn't matter god said it was ours have you seen how many people are here god said it was ours it's interesting though from verse number four he begins to he begins to name the twelve leaders you know it's really important as men heads of our home well i know that's an old-fashioned statement but it's a biblical statement it's a biblical statement that the direction of this church is not going to necessarily be determined by what you hear from this pulpit but it'll be because it'll be by what they hear at home from verses 4 through 15 he lists all the names of the individuals 12 in number but an interesting thing happens when he comes to verse 16. he comes to verse 16 and he says these are the names of the men which moses sent to spy out the land and moses called hoshiya the son of nun jehoshawa or joshua why the name change could it be that hoshiya simply means salvation boy isn't that a broad brush salvation by who if we get the land i know salvation went with us but who is that salvation well moses said i'll go ahead and decide that for you i'll change hoshi's name to joshua hoshea means salvation but joshua means jehovah is our salvation in 2022 i have received a promise from god it's in the bible i will never leave you nor forsake you my my emotions can just take a year-long vacation because i have a word from god that i'm taken into every day of my life i will never leave you i will never forsake you i am with you alway they went to search the land chapter number 13 verse 25 continues and they returned from searching the land after 40 days and when they were when and they went and came to moses and to aaron and to all the congregation of the children of israel under the wilderness of paran to qaddish and brought back word unto them and unto all the congregation and show them the fruit of the land now i want you i want you to get this now because it's very important that the nucleus of leaders speak faith because faith is contagious and negativity is contagious and we have to decide what do we want our family to catch faith or negativity do we want them to catch on that god has already said i'd give you the land it's already yours when you walk it look at a place to build a house when you're walking look at what's going to be yours i've already given you the land you got to understand something over 24 months ago one man that they believe flew here from out of out of the country one man flew here and one man had the covet 19. and one man was diagnosed in one hospital that he had coveted and within a matter of days that had swept it it went from one man to tens to hundreds to thousands and millions and i say tonight i believe the power of faith is greater than the power of covet if one man can have a virus that affected a whole country i believe that one group of people can have a faith word that can affect everything about our homes oh i think we're setting the sales for 2022 i think god has anointed us on this holy weekend to set the sails for 2022 it's our year we are the head and not the tail we are above and not beneath it is our year if you believe that stand to your feet and give him a thunderous applause it is our year it is our year for baptisms it is our year for holy ghost baptisms it is our year for miracle signs and wonders it's our year for prodigals to come home it is our year entire year it's our year they gather the people together in verse 27 and they told him and said we came into the land whether thou sentest us and surely it floweth with milk and honey well sure it does sure it does because anything god ever gives you is abundant people talking about the days of healing are over hogwash people talk about the days of miracles are over hogwash god has never gave a miracle that he was short in supply yeah i believe it was a land flowing with milk and honey what would you expect god to give you a land of drought a land of just enough no we're not listen let me tell you something in egypt they didn't have enough in the wilderness they had just enough but in the land of canaan they had more than enough don't know about you but i'm not in egypt anymore i've been born again i've been blood washed i've been spirit-filled i'm not in egypt anymore and i go ahead and tell you this i'm not in the wilderness either in egypt they didn't have enough in the wilderness they had just enough but i'm living on canaan i've got more than enough come on i got more than enough god could heal somebody in this room tonight god could fill somebody with the holy ghost tonight and we come to our land it was flowing with milk and honey well dove what would you expect god wouldn't give you anything chintzy they said this is the fruit of it now watch this they had come and cut down a big cluster of grapes how big we're used to buying these little grapes in bags at kroger's you know we got to change our mentality this was a cluster of grapes that they wrapped around a pole and two men had to carry it one man at the front one man in the back and it bowed that that that rod was carrying it you know there's a lot of folks they want that they want a kroger bag full of fruit they don't have burden for it they just want to have a bag of it just enough can i tell you you're not going to flirt with god you're either gonna marry him or he ain't gonna flirt with you back god's not a flirt you're either gonna get serious about him and he's gonna get serious about you or he just gonna let you go in your little religious flirting circle and just let you have your life that way but i'm here to tell god tonight fac doesn't want to flirt with you god we want to marry you you said that you were the same yesterday today and forevermore come on get your faith up he is the same yesterday today and forevermore he is still in the holy ghost baptizing business he is still baptizing people and let me go ahead and tell you if you're here tonight and you don't have the gift of the holy ghost with the evidence speaking in tongues what are you waiting on tonight is your night more than enough they laid that they laid that cluster of grapes on the ground and i can see all of israel oohing and awning ah we didn't see grapes like that in the wilderness ah we had onions and garlic and leeks in egypt grapes look at these grapes i see them oohing and eyeing but you see this group of negative spies knew that they were going to present the positive first and then they were going to introduce a word in verse 28. look at this word in verse 28 never the less now they're going to start a conversation without god they didn't they missed the war of 1812 they flat out failed that question because god said this is the land that i have given you that that now they're getting in because any time that you exclude god from your life well i guess you get that first word nevertheless because you can't have god and have the word no no no he's not into nevertheless he's not into you having less than you had when the devil had you don't you believe that you have less when the devil had you no i think i hear my savior whispering to me tonight and saying tell them that i came that they might have life and that they might have life more abundantly can i tell you that's why jesus needs to be in your heart that's why jesus needs to be on your phone that's why jesus needs to be in the music that's why jesus needs to be on your lips i woke up this morning with my mind stayed on jesus if you want to live with nevertheless you can but i don't want to live with the less never nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land cities are walled very great moreover we saw the children that ain't there the amalekites dwell in the land of the south the hittites and the jebusites and the amorites dwell in the mountains and the canaanites dwell by the sea and by the coast you can have all the eyes you want to but they failed the question of 1812 because when you know that god is with you it doesn't matter if the land it doesn't matter if the people is strong our god is stronger it doesn't matter how many ice there are they can be maribelites and termites it doesn't matter to god because he is the mighty god mightier than all the ice that can come your way he is the mighty god oh i want to preach faith to you tonight oh tell me something deep preacher can i tell you something the most simple profound things can be found right under our nose have they just believed the land was theirs listen i am not about to get the victory i have the victory i'm not going to get the victory when i get on streaks of gold i currently as a child of god have the victory first corinthians 15 57 come on first corinthians 15 57 but thanks be to god which giveth us the victory through our lord jesus christ he didn't listen it's not going to be given to us at a later date i currently have the victory that i need why are you weary why are you warned why are you downtrodden this is the house of the lord it's a place of joy it's a place of peace it's a place of praise it's a place of victory no weapon formed against us will prosper nevertheless oh at first corinthians 15 57 doesn't do anything to you maybe romans 8 35 will do it who shall separate us from the love of christ shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter verse 37 nay nay in other words this is what is said but i'm putting a nay to it you can go through life like a little beat down persecuted child of god nobody likes you everybody hates you i think that i'll just eat a can of worms you know i think i'll just feel sorry the worst thing any of you young people can do is feel sorry for yourself the worst thing matter of fact not any young people everybody in this room the worst thing you can do is to feel sorry for yourself and may i ask you as your pastor what's there to feel sorry for you you've been brought out of your sin by the blood of the lamb you've been baptized in jesus name you've been filled with the holy ghost and talking in tongues you tell me watch the feel sorry for you the worst thing you can do is to get a victim mentality the worst thing you can do is talk about it's all stacked against me i can't get ahead in life every time i try to get ahead somebody pulls me down that's the last attitude you need to have you need to have the attitude that if god be for me who can be against me you need to have the attitude hey sir my life is not in your hand my life is in the hands of the almighty god listen you're only beat down if you believe you're really in the fate of the hand of man but when you understand i am not in the hand of man i am not in the hand of man the bible said my beloved you are in my hand and no man can pluck you out help me praise him somebody help me praise him right now somebody help me praise him right now come on he's a great god and he's greatly to be praised i feel like running through a troop and leaping over a wall tonight i feel like 2022 has dawned and there's victory in the house there's victory in the house tonight come on praise him hey praise him come on you're going to get a fountain broken up in a moment come on you're going to get something broken up in a moment oh you don't know what the economy is saying you don't know my god oh you don't know what's happening now you don't know my god god said it's mine verse 37 nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us for i am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of god which is in christ jesus did you hear me tonight people just losing their sentence their mind they're losing their sanity over the threats of viruses what are you losing your sanity over you might die if you get that you might die if you get it yep you might die in a car wreck tonight you might die in a shooting in a restaurant you might die because you got cancer in your body but can i tell you if god holds your life that's not the worst thing that could happen to you it is absolute absolute graduation for me to live is christ and to die is gain that's why brother haslam can be here tonight he's not bitter with god that's why me and kathy sue can be here tonight i'm not bitter with god because to live is christ to die is gain oh oh i don't want to get old oh it would be so depressing to get old you only feel that way if god is not holding you in his hand can somebody say amen said pastor tonight pastor you don't know you're preaching from another planet tonight you're almost right i'm preaching from another world from another world you see because if you really believe they should have been elbowing each other when somebody said amen do you see that 13 foot tall guy over there he should elbowed and said god said it's our land hey man look at that big stone wall over there it ought to have been like larry curly and moe somebody smacked him when they had power don't you know god said this is our land and you and i first apostolic church of america ought to spiritually gear up tonight to where whatever comes our way we simply look around and say god's with me and god's bigger than the mount god's bigger than diseases you can either get a disease you can get a disease and have one of two healings you can have a temporary healing or an ultimate healing god can either heal you temporarily so that you don't die or god could allow you to die if you know him and receive the ultimate the ultimate healing we all like to preach about lazarus being raised from the dead but you do know lazarus died again so pitiful lazarus oh no oh no had a man make a statement at a funeral that really changed my world you know that little verse of scripture when jesus went to the tomb of lazarus and the bible simply says jesus wept i heard a man one time say do you know why i cried i said no sir i've looked at a lot of books and i haven't really the closest i can find is that they were friends and he was showing his humanity he said no i don't believe that he said i believe it was as god he was calling lazarus back from paradise he was calling him back from paradise a place where cancer cannot enter death cannot enter disease cannot enter spirits cannot enter and he stood there and he said brother i got to call you back into this world of sickness and disease god has made us a promise what are we saying about it tonight see how we see things is what we say about them in the bible there was a a woman who brought a very expensive bottle alabaster matter of fact the bible says very precious ointment and she poured it upon jesus and when she poured it upon jesus his own disciples were stirred with indignation and anger why did she do this this is a waste why would she waste this very precious ointment but you see what they call waste jesus called worship you see the carpenter you gather people to church you gather people in a room and basically you all do the same thing uh-huh let me let you know the secret because he's worthy he's worthy if we met five times on sunday he would be worthy and what some people call a waste of time we call worship it's just all how you see it don't mean you're going to church again yeah because i want to worship him again i can't get enough of him i want to go back in the evening service and love him again i call it worship hey leave her alone she has worshipped me you see it as waste i see it as worship how about another man in the book of acts i'm safe to say he was a drug dealer his name was simon he was a sorcerer that word sorcerer in the greek ties into pharmaceutical he had bewitched the people he had put them under spell he was a drug dealer he made money whatever the concoction was i know not but whatever it was he had he had bewitched the people of samaria they were addicted they were addicted to simon and simon was wealthy until one day an apostolic preacher came to town by the name of philip philip began to preach the name of jesus in the kingdom of god and miracles began to happen crippled legs began to walk blind eyes opened deaf ears and stopped demons were crying out of people and the spell of simon's drugs were broken the bible says that simon believed but don't get too caught up in that his belief is not sincere he believes and is baptized but word got to jerusalem that the samaritans have received the word of god and have been baptized but they have not yet received the gift of the holy ghost it's there in the book of acts acts chapter 8. the samaritans have received the word of god but the holy ghost has not fallen upon them they sent peter and john down and peter and john walked into samaria and peter and john laid his hand their hands on the heads of those samaritans and their heads begin to shake and their mouths opened and they begin to speak with tongues and magnify god and simon looked at this and guess what simon saw it's the first root of the commercialization of the gospel of jesus christ when simon saw john and peter lay in their hands and they got the holy ghost simon saw dollar signs and simon said to peter would you how much would it cost how much would it cost i would pay you for it that you would give me this power that on whomsoever i lay my hands they may receive the gift of the holy ghost simon you are seeing wrong just like the ten spies saw canaan wrong just like the disciples saw worship wrong he said simon you see this all wrong this is not about making money it is about lives being changed and if you don't repent simon you're going to perish and your money is going to perish with you brothers and sisters tonight i preach unto the sweat has filled my shoes tonight but i want us in 2022 to have a baptism of a new vision about living for god it's the greatest life it's the most wonderful life walk with your head held high walk with the spirit of expectation come on stand with me tonight stand with me tonight walk can i tell you i want to talk just for a moment to every teenager here tonight i want to talk to every i want to talk to every college student here tonight the land is yours the land is yours the jobs are yours we are living in a day when drugs and perversion has burnt the minds of teenagers up if there's ever been a day that you would get filled with the holy ghost and say this is mine it's not a waste of time it's not a waste of my time it's not a waste make up your mind get that crazy date out of your mind when i turn 18 i don't have to come to church anymore you get that crazy junk out of your mind get that crazy junk out of your mind that's demon stuff that's devil stuff he'd love for you to count the days and miss out on your opportunity we're gonna raise up the best businessmen in this city we're gonna raise up the best business women in this city the land is ours there's something special going on here this this morning and tonight god i feel like has given us two messages to set the sales for 20 22. but there's one thing we'll fail if we have eye problems you'll never live holy looking at a world that you think is prospering being unholy there's reality and there's perception the world is good at commercializing realities they give you perceptions man look at that guy he don't go to church on sunday night man look at that girl with that man and if the devil can he'll give you eye trouble and you'll walk in the promises of god when god has said if you will delight yourself in me i'll give you the desires of your heart i don't have a mate yet don't start looking for one you serious pastor i'm serious with a heart attack don't don't don't stop don't start looking for one you know what you need to do you need to start looking to please god start looking to please god and if you'll please god the bible said if you will delight yourself in the lord he will give you the desires of your heart there is nothing wrong wanting to have a new car or a better car or a better suit or a better home there's nothing wrong with that and we may not admit it but we all say that we live a better life some people are some people don't want to brag some people don't want to tell what they got they're afraid somebody's asking for something i'm just going to tell you tonight i'm a blessed man what are you blessed with it's right here this right here this right here is what i'm blessed with you know what you want something a better car don't start looking at the car lot find yourself a tithing envelope did the microphone cut out you want a better truck you want a better business don't start out there starting here starting here if you will delight yourself in the lord he will give you the desires of your heart i'll close with this there's been this is the second time i'm going to ask you today i'll close with this brother nolan preached a message a few sundays ago about the church of laodicea what was the one thing wrong with the church of laodicea now now you can name a lot of stuff they said they were rich they said they were increased with goods they said all this but what was their problem they had eye trouble they had eye trouble they were the church but they had the eye trouble how they see things how they see and the lord said come up here lay out to see you and let me anoint your eyes come up here leo to see you and let me put some salve in your eyes oh god tonight there's a young woman here oh god there's a young woman here tonight that unless you let the lord anoint your eyes more than likely 2022 will go down in your history is the year you got out of tonight i'm tired of seeing the negative in the church the positive in the world i reverse it tonight i see the positive of the church is come on church leaders come on church leaders there's young people that need to be prayed for tonight come on there's young people that need to be prayed for tonight go to the crowd and touch come on oh yes pray pray come on my soul don't you get shy on me lift up your soul but you've got to lie to me don't you get shy on me get up and praise the don't you lord shy on me oh is inside of those mmm is except oh come on church praise him oh praise him i
