you stand with me I had preached for the Dowdy's but I had not entered their lives as far as my son wanting to marry the daughter and the granddaughter Bishop dowdy and you've just got a no Bishop dowdy you just got to know him but I I figured out real early that I was gonna get along with brother Bishop Gerald dowdy because Nolan and I went to st. Louis and met them for dinner and was doing a marriage retreat there and no one comes in the Dowdy's were all sitting at a table and and Nolan is the last to come in and when he came in Bishop doubt he greeted him by saying what's up ugly I thought then we gonna get along with this family get along with this family thank you so much we look forward and took a few moments out today but I think it's very important I think it's very important that not just myself but your you too you're important who our children marry Exodus chapter 20 and verse number 22 Exodus chapter 20 and verse number 22 again thanks to the church for your love and kindness X is 20 and 22 Exodus chapter 20 and 22 please and the Lord said unto Moses thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel you have seen that I have talked with you from heaven you shall not make with me gods of silver neither shall you making to you gods of gold an altar of Earth thou shalt make unto me and shalt sacrifice there on the burnt offerings I peace offerings thy sheep and the oxen in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee and I will bless thee for a few moments today the benefits of the name the benefits of the name father I love you today God I believe that you want to visit us at the end of this message because there's power in your name there's healing in your name there's deliverance Lord in your name it's in the name of Jesus that we have our salvation God touch us all today touch our hearts touch our students today touch our elders today Jesus name help me preach amen you may be seated God was giving instructions to a delivered people Israel he was giving them them Commandments that would govern their lives thou shalt not which was actually although we may see them in a negative light they were positive in their core nature the commandments were to bless in to keep Israel from going astray a delivered people must have a constitution because we cannot enjoy freedom of deliverance without having laws to govern because now we're no longer slaves in Egypt we are now the redeemed of the Lord God begin to tell them in chapter 20 he said there will come a time when you will build an altar unto me he said you got to see that I talked with you from heaven our way of communicating with each other is not like the heathen pagans around you you shall not build idols of gold or silver for you have seen how that I have talked to you from heaven there will come a time when you will build altars you will need to sacrifice your sheep you will need to sacrifice your off your oxen and then in verse number 24 he said something amazing about the altar he said the altar is going to be a place that I record my name I'm going to record my name there the word record here means to be remembered or it means to be honored God said you're not going to worship the way the heathens do don't pick up their ways don't try to approach me through their methods you build an altar you offer your sacrifice because I'm going to record my name there my name is going to be remembered it was just a few chapters later chapter 23 and verse number 20 that God had given them the commandments and given them all the laws and now God says I'm sending you on your way it's time you've been hearing me talk about that thou shalt nots and you've been hearing me talk about what kind of animals to bring alright Israel it's time for you to go it's time for you to go into the Promised Land and God says behold I send an angel before thee to keep thee in the way and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared now when we mentioned in the Bible we mentioned the angel or the angel of the Lord we understand that beside God there there there are such created beings such as angels but there are also times that God would make himself appear as an angel was not just an ordinary angel but it was Jehovah himself there it was Jehovah himself he said I'm going to send an angel before thee you see there's benefits he said this angel is going to keep you and this angel is going to bring you to the land that I have promised two things there thank God for his protection God has protected us from a lot that only Heaven's going to tell us what God has protected us from there's a lot of things matter of fact I'm of the persuasion that there are far more things God has protected you from that you don't know then things that God has protected you from that you do know how many's thankful guess the most common would be I've been in a million automobile that was out of control but I think God chip his hand of protection upon us kept his hands of protection upon us there are some people here today that had cancer but you are a chance you're free and I believe you ought to give God thanks every day that God protected you from allowing that cancer to run through your body it's a lot of protection that God has given you and I but not only that I'm glad today that I'm further on my road to heaven than I was last year at this time he has kept me in the way and I'm glad that I'm father on my journey than I was last year there are some people that do not have that testimony because they fell out on the way and they are not closer to their destination today they are farther away from it he said this angel is going to protect you can I get a witness this angel is not only going to protect you but this angel is going to guide you in verse 21 talking about the angel beware of him beware of him and obey his voice provoke him not for he will not pardon your transgressions for my name is in him they said you got to understand there's something about this angel and there's a lot of typology because this Old Testament angel had the job of getting Israel into the Promised Land but this Old Testament appearance of God was not like the New Testament manifestation of God in flesh the Old Testament angel of the Lord had not the ability to pardon sinners but the New Testament God robed in flesh was able to pardon sin and so God says to Moses he said you you tell them that that it's wonderful that they're protected and it's wonderful that they're being guided but said they need to walk with the understanding you need to be aware of this angel you need to obey his voice obedience is a must you must obey his voice don't provoke him don't have any kind of behavior that would seem to provoke him you you don't want to provoke the angel you want to obey the angel and then he said he doesn't have the ability to pardon your transgressions and he said all of this because my name is in him my name is in him there's some benefits today to that name verse 22 says but if thou shalt indeed obey his voice and do all that I speak then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies and an adversary until I had the series now now what about that benefit church he said that because I've got an angel among you that has my name in him if you've got an enemy he becomes my enemy and if you've got an adversary he becomes my adversary for mine angel shall go before thee and bring thee in unto the rights to Hittites the parasites and the Canaanites and the high bytes and the jebusites and I will cut them off he said there are no people that's going to be able to stand before you because you are being led by an angel that has my name in it there's no one that can stand before you there's no man that can detour you if God students if God be for you who could ever be against you and it's all because there's an angel with my name he says thou shalt not bow down to their gods nor serve them nor do after their works but thou shalt utterly overthrow them and quite break down their images and ye shall serve the Lord your God and he shall bless thy bread and thy water and will take sickness away from the midst of thee I'm talking about the angel that has the name inside of him he said I'm going to the water in the bread was your essentials that you had to have you had to have water and bread and I'm glad he said if you'll listen to that angel and you'll obey that angel that there's no man that can stand before you I'll Drive out all the the hindrances to your life and not only that the essential things that you need I'll bless your water and I will bless your bread and he said I'll take sickness from the myths now you're going to know something here he doesn't say I'm gonna take all sickness from you he says I'm gonna take sickness away from you I wonder somebody asked me the other day and I don't even know how to get this started but they wanted to know the statistics among the oneness people of those who had cancer they wanted to know the statistics among the oneness people of those that have that the divorce rate and all of it well I don't have those mystics right before me but I really do believe that we are kept maybe not from all sickness but I do believe because we're serving a God who has the angel with his name in him I do believe there's a lot of things God has protected us from sometimes he lets us know something's not right sometimes he lets us know something's not right so that he can step in and take care of it so that we know to give him praise and glory and honor amen I think something happened years ago with my wife she had a lump in her body and they they they they were sitting her for tests and all of these things but somewhere between when they found a lump somewhere between where they they they they looked into it somewhere between there and actually going to plan how to go further another exam was done and the doctor said the love that was there is no longer there I want you to know God may not keep us from all sickness but I do believe we need to pause for a moment and thank God that he has kept us from sickness today could you give him a praise right now oh I think we need to do a little bit better than that because I'm talking about the benefit of the name the benefit of the name I'm gonna bless your bread I'm gonna bless your water I'm gonna take sickness away from the midst of thee there shall nothin cast their young there's not going to be any miscarriages there shall nothing cast their young no miscarriages neither barren there's not gonna be anybody that's going to have a miscarriage there's not going to be anybody that's going to be barren he said in the end up in bile and the days and the number of days I will fulfill I will send my fear before thee and will destroy all the people to whom thou shall come I will make all my enemies turn their backs unto thee I will send Hornets I will send Hornets before thee God had the first Air Force I will send Hornets before thee which shall drive out the Hittites and the Canaanites and the hittite before thee I will not drive them out from before thee in one year lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field multiply against it God said I'm not gonna take care of all your problems in one year he said because it wouldn't be good for me to take care of all your problems in one year because if I took care of all your problems in one year then the beasts of the field will come in and take over so God said I'm gonna do this for you I'm gonna drive them out can I get a witness today I'm going to drive them out verse number thirty by little and little when I drive them out from before thee until they'll be increased and inherit the land can I tell you I'm not waiting on a big blessing to praise God I'm not waiting on a huge blessing to praise God I'm not waiting on a huge report to give my god thanks I'm just go struck thanking him because he said little by little I'm just going to drive them out little by little I may not be where I need to be this Sunday but I'm just a little bit further down the road then I was last Sunday I may not have my big blessing yet but I'm thankful to God come on you got to get ready to praise him for a little blessing today just a little blessing today her friend somebody's got a prodigal child that just called up and said mom I'm thinking about Jesus I know they haven't repented I know they haven't got back in church but you oughta get up right now throw both your hands up in the air and begin to magnify God because he said little oh I'm a anot I've got my dollar a race on the hour but thank God for my nickel I may not have got this but thank God for my my little and little will I Drive them out from before thee until they'll be increased and in inherit the land I will set bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines and from the desert under the river for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand and thou shalt drive them out before thee thou shalt make no covenant with them nor their gods they shall not dwell in thy land lest they make these sin against me for if thou serve their gods it will surely be a snare unto thee brothers and sisters this morning if I haven't taken the last 15 minutes and whet your appetite there's a benefit in his name there's a benefit in his name the Israelites served a god that was a benefit to have his name that was before he ever died on a cross shed his blood and sent his spirit the Old Testament Saints had nowhere near what we've got but if the Old Testament Saints had a saw a small sampling of having the benefit of the name how much more should you and I begin to look around and realize we've got a lot of benefits today because of his name later on in Exodus chapter 25 verse number 8 it was God's plan to build a tabernacle the church house a place where God and his people could come and meet together and the Bible says in Exodus chapter 28 verse number 8 or excuse me chapter 25 verse number 8 let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell then the whole purpose of the sanctuary was that God desired to dwell among his people but in second chronicles chapter 5 and verse number 13 we find that God not only was going to dwell there but in second chronicles chapter five and verse number 13 it says when they built the tabernacle or the temple and they dedicated it it came to pass now Solomon has built the temple and he has now dedicated it and it came to pass and it came even to pass as the trumpeters and the singers were as one to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord and when they lifted up their voice with trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music and praise the Lord saying for he is good his mercy endureth forever that then the house was filled with the cloud even the house of the Lord so that the priests could not stand to Minister by reason of the cloud for the glory of the Lord had filled the house they dedicate this temple brother Nolan and when they get in one mind one of unity praising God one central theme in the house of God for the Lord is good that God came down and he filled the house with his glory but something happened The ministers could not go in to minister God had occupied all the space that was in the tabernacle Solomon steps back for a few verses and we go to second chronicles chapter 6 in verse number 18 Solomon has to give an explanation for why the ministers no longer have room to minister he stands back and he says in verse number 18 but will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth behold the heaven of the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee how much less this house which I have built Solomon steps back and he says how foolish I was to believe that I could build a house that could contain all of God how foolish that I was and Solomon speaks of the omnipresent of God when he said the heaven of heaven of heavens cannot contain me and then I can see Solomon taking a gesture and pointing toward the house that's smoking with the glory of God he says how much less if the heaven of heaven of heavens cannot contain God then how much less this house which I have built verse nineteen have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant and to his supplication o Lord my God to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayed before they gonna stop there for a moment so he switches subjects he says now figured out that we can't have all of God in this house but God we built this house for the crying out of the needs of Israel we built this house because humanity has needs we built this house because we are deficient we built this house and I love the old song I can't even walk without him holding my hand we built this house because we are in need of God the Sun can be shining brightly on us by Monday but Monday morning the Sun can be shining bright but one phone call can turn our world upside down we can think man we got life by the tail but just one phone call can shatter ever dream we ever had about a child but glad that God has orchestrated that there is a house that we can bring not only tidings of great joy we can not only bring the prosperity of praise but as a house that I can run to when my life has fallen apart come on praise Him with me for a moment I feel the Holy Ghost movement here hallelujah have respect therefore to the prayer of my servant and to his supplication o Lord my God to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayer before thee that thy eyes may be opened upon this house day and night upon the place where of thou has said that thou wouldest put thy name there to hearken unto the prayer which is thy servant which thy servant Prayuth toward this place hearken therefore unto the supplication of thy servant and to thy people Israel which which they shall make toward this place here now from by dwelling place even from heaven and when thou hearest forgive Solomon says I understand I thought I was going to build a house that could contain God but the heaven of heaven and heavens cannot contain you but then Solomon said but really the house was made for man to cry out and God although you cannot dwell in this house in totality your eye can be on this place and I like how he said it day and night but he didn't stop there he said the house that I have put my name there there's got to be something to this God said I record my name on an altar it God turned around and said I'm going to take you into Canaan and you're going to eat from fruit of Canaan land but you're only going to get there because there is an angel that has my name in it Israel you need a tabernacle you need a brazen altar you need a labor you need a teaching priest you need a way to get the blood on the Ark of the Covenant but most of all you need a place where my name is at and the place where my name is that my eye looks down upon this place now folks that's Old Testament that's Old Testament but they got a lot to thank God for in the Old Testament but I haven't come to give us a history lesson today because the book of Hebrews in the New Testament is no more than one solitary book telling how we came out of the old law and we came into the new dispensation of grace the book of Hebrews is a book that just tell us what those sacrifices and all of that stood for everything that I've talked this morning the book of Hebrews says that was for them but it was a shadow of better things to come the word better appears more in the book of Hebrews than any other book in the entirety of sixty-six books the word better better better that's why what I'm about to turn this message toward the altar is that if they have the benefit of a name on the altar a name in the angel and a name in the tabernacle how much more do you and I have the benefit today of having the name of Jesus in our lives Jesus come on us let's just thinking for a moment Jesus Jesus I love you Jesus I praise you Jesus I believe that you're going to start working right now because your name brings your presence the name of Jesus the Bible tells us in Galatians chapter four verse number four but when the fullness of time was come God sent forth his son made of a woman made under the law to redeem them that were under the law that we might receive the adoption of sons can I tell you just like in Exodus 25 when God told the people to bring material to build a tabernacle that I may dwell among them that God's ultimate plan was not to dwell within linen curtains God's ultimate plan was not to dwell behind the veil but God's ultimate plan was to dwell in a human body and the Bible said when the time came when the fullness of time came God sent his son made of a woman the time came and God sent his son made of a woman Hebrews chapter 10 and verse number five this is prophetic language here the man Christ Jesus the man Christ Jesus these words were spoken prophetically about the man Christ Jesus because to truly understand and I purposely I requested that song today let me tell you who Jesus is because it is essential that you and I know who Jesus is it is essential that we be reminded who Jesus is it is essential that new people coming in the church understand who Jesus is because if we don't understand the oneness of God nothing else in Scripture begins to fit baptism derails spirit baptism derails water baptism derails holiness false doctrine understand it is imperative that we have an understanding of the dual nature of Jesus Christ this baby that we're about to celebrate his birth into the world this baby was 100% human just like you and I but he was also 100% deity he was Almighty God robed in flesh not half not one-third he the fullness of the godhead dwell in him sometimes he spoke as a man when he said I must be about my father's business other times he spoke as a God when he said have I been so long time with you and you don't know me Philip he that has seen me has seen the father how say us now then show us the father oh I'm greater than Abraham you do what I'm greater than Abraham I'm greater than Abraham he said how you're not yet fifty years old and you claim that you're greater than Abraham and then he astounded them when he said these words before Abraham was I am their mouths gaped open they couldn't heard the blessed they couldn't believe the blasphemy aswer they heard they picked up rocks and they begin to stone him and he stopped them and he said this to you before you throw the first rock he said why are you stoning me and they said which is why we're strolling you because you are a man who is making yourself God how backwards religion has it religion is always headed backwards it wasn't a man that made himself God it was God who made him man Oh hallelujah I'm telling you they said benefits to the name of Jesus oh my gosh somebody help me praise him today if you are a one god believer why don't you get on your feet right now and begin to magnify the name of Jesus Christ I wrote on my behind momdad a listen to this prophetic language listen whom speak prophetically Hebrews 10 5 wherefore when he cometh into the world he saith sacrifice and offerings that would it's not but a body thou has prepared me in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sins thou hast no pleasure Old Testament then said I listen to Christ listen to the man Christ Jesus then said I lo I come the word lo there means to look low I come in the volume of the book Old Testament it is written at me to do thy will O God above when he saith sacrifice and offerings and burnt offerings and offerings for sin thou wouldest not nothing from the Old Testament he wanted neither has pleasure therein which are offered by the law then said he listened to the man Christ Jesus lo I come to do thy will O God he taketh away the first the Old Testament that he may establish the second the New Testament by the which we will we are sacrificed and that we are sanctified excuse me through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all and every priest standing daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifice which can take away sin but this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever set down on the right hand of God her friend can I tell you who Jesus is this Sunday morning he was a man he was man but he was God and he came and he said in the volume of the book it is written of me all the Old Testament stuff he had no pleasure in because he was waiting for the fullness of time when God would send his son made of a woman made under the law the Old Testament sacrifices had to repeatedly year after year after year they could only push up the sins one more year but when that man Christ Jesus came and he said sacrifices and offerings that wouldest none but a body thou has prepared from me when he gave his body at Calvary a friend not ever again would he have to be crucified the body the blood was so powerful so potent it so effective that it reaches to the tallest mountain it flows to the dead lowest valleys that blood of Jesus Christ come on praise him with me for a moment my my Sakai yeah Matthew chapter 1 matthew chapter 1 verse number 9 18 matthew chapter 1 verse number 18 now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise when asked his mother wasn't spouse to Joseph before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Ghost then Joseph her husband being a just man not willing to to make her a public example was minded to put her away privately but while he thought on these things behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto Him in a dream saying Joseph thou son of David fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost she shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sin now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord spoken of the Lord by the Prophet saying behold a virgin shall shall be with child and shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel which being interpreted is God with us we said no no his name would be called Jesus but his name would also be called Emmanuel no his name wasn't called Emmanuel the name of Jesus was called Emmanuel because his name is wonderful counselor mighty God Prince of Peace everlasting father wonderful is not his name counselors not his name mighty gods not his name everlasting fathers not his name principals not his name the name of Jesus and the name of Jesus is wonderful the name of Jesus is the counselor the name of Jesus is the mighty God the name of Jesus is the everlasting father and the name of Jesus who is this Jesus well he's a manual well who is Emmanuel well he's God with us just like God put his name on an altar just like God put his name in an angel just like God put his name in the tabernacle God put his name in the body of the men crossed Jesus and I'm glad to have the benefits of his name I've got a rush this morning an angel in the Old Testament the angel in the Old Testament took the people of God into Canaan but could not pardon sin but what God used in the in the New Testament the men Christ Jesus had both the power to pardon and the power to bring in to our spiritual Kingdom of rest John 1 and 1 in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God in the Word was God John 1:14 and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth Jesus said in John chapter 2 and verse number 16 John 1 and 1 in John 1:14 is no more than God saying my fleshly body was a tabernacle my fleshly body was a tabernacle sold it was our bodies throughout the Bible are referred to as temples and Tabernacles because our bodies house our spirit and they're referred to as temples and Tabernacles and in John 2 and 16 he said unto them that sold doves take these things hence make not my father's house a house of merchandise and his disciples remembered that it was written the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up then answered the Jews and said unto him what signs show us thou unto a scene that thou doest these things jesus answered and said unto them destroyed this temple and in three days I will raise it up then said the Jews forty and six years was this temple in building it wilt thou trier it up in three days but this spake of the but he spake of the temple of his body when therefore he was risen from the dead his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them and they believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken just as Exodus 20:5 records that God dwelt in the Old Testament Tabernacle brothers and sisters today the New Testament tells us that Almighty God dwelt in the tabernacle of the man crossed Jesus because how can you say destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again he didn't say somebody else would raise it up he said in three days I will raise it up how can you say and he was speaking of a temple of his body they scratched their heads and said we were building this place 46 years and you think you're going to raise it up in three days he wasn't speaking about brick and mortar he was speaking of his own body he said I am only God only God can give up the ghost only God can determine the exact time of his departure from that body when he said it is finished and he gave up the ghost but only God can set his alarm clock only God can put the man Christ Jesus to sleep for 72 hours and set the alarm clock and wake it back up in 72 hours and raised it back up that's why I said destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up but I really got off just a little bit today about Jesus being God I want to keep emphasizing the benefit that we have of knowing the name of Jesus there's power in that name there's joy in that name there's deliverance in that name there is an atmosphere change in that name if you begin to pray in that name singing that name preaching that name believe in that name things begin to happen evil demonic worlds begin to be warded off because he said I'll drive out the Hittite I Drive out all these for you well let me continue today musicians would you come for a moment Jesus said in John 17 verse number 6 John 17 verse number 6 he was praying for the disciples the apostles and he said I have manifested thy name the man the man Christ Jesus is praying to his father and he says I have made known by name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world then they were they gave us them me they kept thy word what name did Jesus manifest his father's name so when Jesus told them about the name Jesus it was his father's name his father's name he said I made known your name to them no wonder when he's about to leave the disciples they would be left on their own and they would be left with a word the old testament we now have the old and the new testament when he left them he emphasized his name the last words he spoke to them while on earth emphasized his name although many people have misinterpreted matthew 28:19 the true interpretation of that is take my name to humanity take my name to humanity Luke would say that repentance and remission of sins Luke 24:47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem mark would record the last words of Jesus mark 16:15 he said unto them go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature he then believing that it's baptized shall be saved he then believeth not shall be damned and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name they shall cast out Devils men and brethren what shall we do men and brother what shall we do then Peter said unto them acts 2:38 then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins the first miracle was performed and they were arrested and told not to preach any more but their rebuttal at the trial was this acts 4:12 neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved the church is well established years have went by there's churches in Colossae those churches in Rome there's a church in Philippi and in Philippians two and five it says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made himself of no reputation took upon him the form of a servant it was made in the likeness of men and being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself and became obedient unto death even the death of the cross wherefore I wish you'd read this with me wherefore God have highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven of things in the earth and things under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord the night Paul Paul spoke to apostolic believing men that worked on jobs and Paul spoke to apostolic men in first Timothy six in one he said let as many servants as are under the yoke count their masters worthy of all honor that the name of God and His doctrine be not blessing he said on your job treat your Foreman with respect on your job treat who's over you and respect on your job on your job treat those that are over you oh he didn't listen to all they don't treat me right Oh his son Oh his he's a family run this is no no no he didn't bringing in that business him he said if you've got a manager if you've got a somebody that's over you he said you treat them with honor why so that the name of your God and the doctrine be not the book of Revelation flips over and the book of Revelation symbolically talks about two groups of people in Revelation chapter 13 and verse number 16 the N of Christ the Antichrist I don't want to be a part of the Antichrist I want to be a part of Jesus Christ watch this now revelation 13:16 he causes all both small and great rich and poor free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their forehead another passage of scripture says a number a mark or a number as all the Antichrist is giving you all the Antichrist in the sea of humanity you're just a stat you're just a dot and all
