you have your Bibles in return with me to the Book of Exodus the book of Exodus chapter 33 verse number 12. Exodus chapter 33 and verse number 12. Moses is speaking with God and I believe that if Moses was alive and here today that he would agree wholeheartedly with the song that we just sang I need thee Oh I need thee listen to this conversation between Moses and God and Moses said unto the Lord see thou sayest unto me bring up this people and thou has not let me know whom thou Wilt sinned with me in other words Moses is saying you've told me to bring up these people but I can't do it by myself I can't do it by myself you stop here and tell you something you can't do Life by yourself yet thou Hast said I Know Thee by name and thou Hast also found Grace in my sight now therefore I pray thee if I have found Grace in thy sight show me now thy way that I may Know Thee that I may find Grace in thy sight and consider that this nation is thy people and he said God replies and God said my presence shall go with thee and I will give thee rest please connect his presence with rest if you have his presence you have his rest and Moses said Moses replies back If thy presence go not with me carry us not up hence in other words if you don't go with us I don't want to go for a few moments today I just want to teach on the baptism of the Holy Ghost the baptism of the Holy Ghost father I love you this morning thank you Lord for the awesome your awesome presence is here thank you God for everything you've already done thank you Lord for what you're going to do Lord Jesus we give you praise and honor anoint your servant today as I Minister your word in Jesus name we all pray amen give him a hand of Praise please as you're being seated everything in the Old Testament sets the foundation for the New Testament we are living in a culture now is more that that is more aware of the spirit world than ever before we live in a culture that is aware of the spirit world and several years ago it broke on the news it came out that Nancy Reagan had brought a spirit Channeler or a psychic Channeler to the White House seeking Direction after that seemed to open the floodgates seemed to open the floodgates that they frequent those in high offices seek after guidance from from the spirit world well I'm going to tell you there is only one spirit that we should seek guidance from only one spirit that we should seek guidance and that is God's spirit God's spirit Moses had that conversation he said God you've given me a task that is too large for me I cannot do it on my own and you're going to have to show me tell me who's going with me and God simply answered that my presence my spirit my presence is going to go with you and I will give you rest and Moses replied and simply just said if your presence doesn't go I don't want to take another step forward carry us not hence now I come this morning to talk is to teach on the baptism the infilling of the spirit of God the presence of God the same presence of God that Moses was led by is now in the New Testament the same spirit of God the same presence of God that is in the believer that is in the church it's called the baptism of the Holy Ghost we first hear of it in Matthew chapter 3 and verse 11 and keep your Bibles handy today Matthew chapter 3 and verse 11. John the Baptist the Forerunner of Jesus Christ he said in Matthew 3 11 he said I indeed that word is action I have in action baptized you with water under repentance I I immersed you that's what that word baptized means he John said I immersed you in water you stepped into the water and I immersed you under the water unto repentance in other words it was a baptism that show that the individual had repented changed their mind about the life they were living and the sin that they were committing and John said I have indeed in action baptized you and with water under repentance but he that cometh after me and this is Jesus Christ is mightier then I whose shoes I am not worthy to Bear he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire early on in the ministry of Jesus Christ it was already announced by John it was already announced that I am immersing you in water for the purpose of repentance but there's coming one after me that is mightier than I in other words I believe he was just simply saying I know that you I know that you think this is a phenomenal thing that's happened I know that I am greater than the rabbis and the priests that have been dead for 400 years teaching from the Old Testament I know that you've been used to all of that and I know that when I came out of the Wilderness crying to repentance and it stirred up the region and you came and was baptized I don't want you to think this is the best that God has because there's coming one after me who is mightier than I I'm not even I'm not even worthy you you esteem me as a prophet you esteem me as a man sent from God but I'm telling you there's coming one after me I am not I'm not even worthy to bear his shoes he's going to baptize you he's going to immerse you with the Holy Ghost and Fire it would be in John chapter 3 and verse number one Jesus Christ is approached by a religious Man by the name of Nicodemus this religious Man by the name of Nicodemus this man that studied the law this man that thought he had a relationship with Jehovah this man comes to give Jesus Christ a compliment follow me in verse number one of John 3. there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews the same came to Jesus by night and said unto him rabbi we know that thou art a teacher come from God for no man can do these Miracles that thou doest except God be with him Jesus answered and said unto him verily verily I say unto thee except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God let me show you what just took place this religious leader is bringing his endorsement to Jesus Christ he is bringing in endorsement we know that you are a teacher come from God we know we understand we perceive that you are a teacher come from God for no man can do the Miracles that you do except God be with him now what Jesus turns around and says basically is you really don't know who I am you really don't know who I am you you don't have the fullness of who I am I'm more than a rabbi and I'm more than a teacher sent from God and I am I am I'm more than a miracle worker but then he tells them I will tell you how to get a full understanding of who I am because you cannot get a full understanding of who he is until you are born again you've got to be born again Jesus answered and said verily verily I said unto you and he says it he says it's so many words except the man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God he says you've got to be born again to really perceive the kingdom of God in your mind you you've got to be born again to see the kingdom of God in your mind Nicodemus saith unto him how can a man be born when he's old can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born several here believe that Nicodemus is insulted because he came to get a compliment he came to give a compliment and he got a Bible study all right he came he came as if Jesus is going to woo and wow at what you're saying the Pharisees endorse me wow that he was met by Jesus just simply saying you really don't know who I am you really don't know who I am you must be born again and it's believed that sarcasm that he speaks back and he says what are you talking about could I enter my mother's womb the second time and be born Jesus answered verily verily I say unto thee because Nicodemus is asking how can this new birth take place how can this birth take place Jesus said I say unto thee except a man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit of spirit marble not don't be amazed don't be puzzled marble not that I said unto you you must be born again he is telling Nicodemus you you can't understand the kingdom of God until you have a new birth and when you ask the method of this new birth you asked about going to your mother's womb and being born a second time if you don't know God the first time you were born you would just simply be twice ignorant if you were born the second time and he simply said the new birth consists of water and of spirit let's go on to John chapter 7 verse number 37. since you're in John chapter 7 verse number 37 in the last day that great day of the feast now this was a feast this was a feast of Tabernacles this is when they would the last day as they would they would bring water to the top of the steps of the Temple and at the top of the steps of the temple would be a pot of wine they would pour the water and the wine together in that ceremony and pour it down the steps of the Temple it spoke about the coming day of God pouring out his spirit it has been said by historians that on this religious day that Israel would shout Pastor Erickson they would shout louder than they shouted before they said that on this day everyone was anticipating and that they would Shout it was on this day verse 37. in the last day that great day of the feast Jesus stood and cried now he may be lifting up his voice here because they are shouting over this ceremony he lifted up his voice and cried saying if any man thirst let him come unto me and drink is there anybody thirsty let him come unto me and drink and he's not talking about physical thirst he's talking about that thirsting of a man's soul of a person's spirit that religion and ritual can never feel he says if any man thirsts let him come unto me and drink follow this now Jesus said he that believeth on me as the scripture has said boy that's very important that's that's really important you need to believe on him as the scripture has said out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Water now now we we get to thinking that that part of that belly there is really talking about his loins it's talking about what he will produce in life in other words if you will believe on me as the scripture has said out of your belly shall flow rivers of Living Water that's why we are told in the scripture that when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost we become Witnesses unto him something flows from us continue now verse 38 again he that believeth on me as the scripture has said out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Water verse 39 but this spake he of the spirit which they that believe on him should receive for the Holy Ghost was not yet given because that Jesus was not yet glorified in other words he's talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost if you believe on me according to the scripture out of you will come a river of water if you believe on me according if you believe on me according to the scripture it's very simple to see this today scriptural belief brings a spiritual experience if you believe on him according to the Scripture it brings on you a scriptural spiritual experience now I want you to notice something if you have your Bibles today and the words of Jesus are in red in your Bible I know some Bibles don't have that but most Bibles do you're going to find an interesting thing that starts in chapter 14 of John and just as we must do it together real quick as you go from John chapter 14 you'll see a lot of red all right John's got a lot of red there John 14's got a lot of red John 15's got a lot of red all right just going on to John 15 got a lot of red how about John 16. got a lot of red how about John how about John 17. got a lot of red you know why it's an interesting thing do you know that most of the Book of John has to do with the last eight days of Christ Ministry because he's there he's there at the Passover and he begins to tell them what's going to happen in a few days from now for it was in John 14. it was in John 14. verse number 3. Jesus said these words and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also now please just let me take one moment I know you've heard this in funerals you've heard this at funerals in my father's house or many mansions if it were not so it would have told you I go away to prepare a place for you and where I go if where I am there you may be also and I know that we've used that in times past the Lord's been gone for 2 000 years building mansions and you know he created the Earth in six days and if he created this beautiful Earth in sixth day my what my Mansion ought to look like when you really understand the scripture you really understand scripture The Mansions are already there in my father's house are many mansions and that just really mentions there as a Greek word means large rooms okay and I'm sorry for all of you that think you're getting a cabin in the corner of glory land all right it's more like the old TV show The Ewings we're all going to live in one big house praise God all right sorry so what's he talking about I go to prepare a place for you he's talking about the place of a mediator because before God became a man and bled and died and suffered for our sins and was the payment for our sins there was no mediator between God and man we had to go through the Old Testament laws and he's simply saying I'm going away to prepare a place for you that where I am there you may be also and so he's just telling them I've got to leave you and we know the scripture said their hearts were full of Sorrow he is a man saying I'm going to be leaving you verse 3 again and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also going down to verse 16 of the same chapter of John they're sorrowful now you got to understand they're perplexed they're scratching their heads he's leaving us but Jesus is beginning to comfort them with these words he says when I'm gone I will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter another comforter that he may abide with you forever even the spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not doesn't understand him neither knoweth him has a relationship but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you now I know some people get real confused here because Jesus is saying I'm going to pray to the father he's going to give you another comforter Jesus is the mediator the Bible says in Timothy there's only one God and one mediator between God and man the man Christ Jesus and so when he says I'm going to pray the father verse 16 again and he shall give you another comforter another comforter now according to Thayer's Greek Lexicon of the word comforter it means one who pleads another's case before a judge a pleader a council for defense a legal assistant an advocate one who pleads another's cause with one an intercessor it means a helper an aide an assistant so Jesus is saying I'm going to give you another comforter he uses the word another he uses the word another because he hadn't been their comforter he had been that one that walked with them but now he says I'm going to give you another comforter go back to John 14 verse 16 again I will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever even what is who's this Co who's this comforter even the spirit of Truth now wait a minute now even the spirit of Truth the spirit of Truth but didn't Jesus say in John 14 6 I am the way the truth Jesus was the person of Truth but Jesus is going to die he is going to be raised from the dead he is going to ascend into heaven we're going to see him no more but he is going to send us the spirit of Truth Spirit of Truth now just stay with me for a moment even the spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it's seeth him not neither knoweth him watch this but you know him who who do we know who are we talking about here in this verse somebody help me now who do we know the spirit of this the subject matter here is the spirit of Truth follow it closely follow it very closely he says in verse 17 even the spirit of Truth the world cannot receive because it's seeth him not neither knoweth him but you know him talk about the spirit of Truth for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you he was saying to them I'm more than a teacher I'm more than someone God uses I am God manifested in the flesh I am with you right now but my ultimate plan is not to be with you so you can see me and feel me and hear me with your five senses that I am going to be in you the world doesn't know me and the world can't see me but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you look at Verse 18 I will not leave you comfortless I will come to you yet a little while and the world seeth me no more but you see me because I live ye shall live also and at that day at that day he's talking about the day of Pentecost at that day you shall know that I am in the father and ye in me and I in you when the wind starts blowing on Pentecost morning you're going to be filled with joy and excitement because you're going to know that I just didn't disappear into the mid sky but that I am seated at a place of honor and authority and that I am alive I am your mediator and I am in you and you are in me talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost going down to verse 25 verse 25. these things have I spoken unto you being yet present with you but the comforter which is the Holy Ghost whom the father will send in my name he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever whatsoever I have said now I mentioned to you about the spirit world and I told you there's only one spirit that you ought to have interaction with and that is the holy spirit or the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost only comes in Jesus name you don't want to you don't want to ask for a spirit to come that doesn't come in Jesus name because you'll get the wrong Spirit visiting your your house you don't want to go to anybody and sit down and say let's let's get in the spirit world all this stuff of people trying to and and and I realize it's commercial it's commercialized but the devil will work through commercialization and ignorance and people get in a room having seances and people get in a room and I'm able to channel the dead and I'm going to talk to you through your your dead dad and all that well let me tell you something friend let me just let me tell you something the Bible says the dead no not no nothing all right so there ain't no dead people talking back through some man to you but the devil will jump on spiritual ignorance that's why demon possession is very open in thorough third world countries that's right demon-possessed people in America are dignified there's demon possession here but they work through other means but you go to third world countries and you get all planes and walk through neighborhoods demons cry out our missionaries report demons cry out to them saying things like we know you and they curse them so you never want to try to engage in a spirit without taking the name of Jesus Jesus is The Only Name you should use but oh when you mention his name When you mention the name of Jesus There's Something About the Name of Jesus your knees can be buckling your belly can be in knots you can think I can't go one more step father but you begin to mention the name of Jesus and something begins to happen somebody giving praise right now the name the name of Jesus goes before the baptism of the Holy Ghost the understanding of the name of Jesus goes before the baptism of the Holy Ghost follow me in Luke 24 47 listen to Jesus as he gives the apostles the last the last few instructions before he leaves Earth he says to the apostles and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem you're going to preach repentance and remission of sins in Jesus name it's going to start at Jerusalem verse 48 and ye are witnesses of these things and behold I sin the promise of my father upon you what is that that's the baptism of the Holy Ghost but he doesn't mention Spirit baptism until he mentions his name because the Holy Ghost comes in Jesus name and I I am not stress enough you will get yourself tied up and defeated if you try to seek help from a spirit that you don't take the name of Jesus with you the name comes first and then the spirit look at Acts chapter 2 and verse number 38 somebody help me now Acts 2 38 then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name Jesus Christ for the remission of sins what happens after that and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost Acts chapter 8 verse number 12 but when they believe Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ they were baptized both men and women then Simon himself believed also and when he was baptized he continued with Philip wondered and beholding the Miracles and signs which were done now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God they sent unto them Peter and John who when they were come down prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost so the name goes before the the baptism of the Holy Ghost well what about Cornelius in Acts chapter 10 Cornelius now watch this now because people say well Cornelius got the Holy Ghost and then he was baptized and you're exactly right but can I tell you what Cornelius got before he got the Holy Ghost Acts chapter 10 34 Peter's opening remarks to Cornelius acts 10 34 then Peter opened his mouth and said of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons but in every nation he that feareth him and work of righteousness he is accepted with him the word which God sent unto the children of Israel preaching Peace by Jesus Christ he is Lord of all Cornelius got the Holy Ghost before he was baptized I have a personal I have a personal thought of that Cornelius was a gentile the Jews thought Gentiles were dogs and had no place in the kingdom of God I personally believe that God gave the Gentiles the Holy Ghost so that the Jews would offer water baptism to them because if you'll read The Narrative when Peter is preaching but he's already mentioned the name I got to stress that acts 10 30 before he mentions the name of Jesus and then he preaches the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and while Peter yes fake these words the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word they have a circumcision which was the Jews were astonished because that on the Gentiles was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God then Peter answered and said can any man forbid water he talking to the tongue talkers here he talking to cornelius's house they're talking in tongues he's talking to those six Jewish men whose mouths are public gave to open look and said they're getting the Holy Ghost just like we did acts 11. they're getting it just like we did then Peter turns around and says could any of you tell me why we should not baptize these in Jesus name that have received the Holy Ghost as well as we then he turned around and he looked back at a soldier and boy if a soldier brother pool if a soldier knows one thing a soldier knows commands and the Bible said he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that name comes before I'll send the Holy Ghost I'll send the Holy Ghost in my name it'll come and it'll come in my name as a matter of fact when you understand the importance of his name it triggers spiritual activation when you understand the power of His name it opens up your mind because he sends the Holy Ghost I'm going to hammer this for a moment the Holy Ghost will come in my name the more you know about his name the more open your mind is to receive the spirit of God look at Acts chapter 19 Acts chapter 19 and verse number one he came to pass it while Apollos that's a preacher was it Corinth that's a city Paul having passed through the upper Coast came to Ephesus another city finding certain disciples he said unto them have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed they said unto him we have not so much has heard whether there be any Holy Ghost he said what are you talking about Holy Ghost we've not we've not even heard about the Holy Ghost Paul says in verse 3 and he said unto them unto what then were you baptized and they said in John's baptism he said how were you baptized if you if you've not heard of the Holy Ghost how were you baptized and they said well we were baptized unto John's baptism the light came on with Paul he says in verse 4 then said Paul John verily baptized with with the baptism of repentance it was a baptism that show you had repented saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus now you remember what I said you remember what I said what I said earlier about the name John said I baptize you under repentance but one's coming after me who's going to baptize you with the Holy Ghost and Fire when they said to John when they said to Paul we were baptized unto John Paul explains what John's baptism was for and then he goes on he goes on to say that that in verse 4 let me read that again then said Paul John barely baptized with the baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus they said well we don't have the Holy Ghost yet why because we don't understand the name but if I can begin to understand the name they said we need to be baptized in the name of the one who died for us we need to be baptized in that name remember he'll send the holy ghost in my name watch what happens when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and when Paul had laid his hands upon them the Holy Ghost came on them and they spoke with tongues and prophesied once again Church the baptism of the Holy Ghost has everything thing to do with the name of Jesus Christ go back with me now I'm flipping you all over the Bible this morning go back with me to John chapter 16 the several chapters that are that are just about all read John chapter 16 and verse number 6 Jesus said but because I said these things unto you I've been saying I'm leaving sorrow hath filled your heart nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away for if I go not away the comforter will not come unto you but if I depart I will send him unto you it is expedient that I go away I have to go away I have to become the mediator the spirit of God fills the heavens the spirit of God fills the heavens of Heavens waiting to get back into the heart of man but the spirit of God will not descend from heaven and come into the heart and feel the life of a person until the mediator is seated and he said it is expedient that word expedient there means to your advantage I know that you don't want me to leave I know that you don't want me to go but I'm telling you something better is coming it is expedient for you that I that I go away for if I go not away the comforter cannot come unto you look at verse number nine he's talking about the reasons we are filled with his Spirit he's talking about the reasons here we're filled with the spirit of sin this is the reason I'm filling you with my spirit of sin because they believe not on me of righteousness because I go to my father and you see me no more of judgment because the prince of this world is Judge he says I have to go away and he said if I go away here's the three purposes that I'm going away and he names them of sin because they believe not on me can I tell you the reason there is a Spirit-filled church the church is a visible reminder to a lost world that they need their sins forgiven and only Jesus Christ can forgive sins the reason we need a Spirit-filled church and the church should never become like the world it is God's will for the world to become like the church but if the church ever becomes like the world we'll never change the world but we need to be a Spirit-filled church so that the world can see their need of a savior now now we must understand there's going to be two categories the church rubs shoulders with those that are lost and hungry that want to change that are looking for a change that are crying themselves to sleep at night for a change that are on medication for a change that are alcoholics for a change that are drug addicts for a change all of these spiritual all of these vices and and bondages that are in our world today speaks a megaphone I'm looking I'm searching I need God in my life so we have got to remain the Spirit-filled church so that we can be the answer to this lost and Dying World Jesus is no longer here in a physical body walking around there's over seven billion people on the Earth and one human can't touch them all but let me feel you with my spirit I'll send you to the Philippines I'll send you to Africa I'll send you all around now there's two there's two groups of people I'm trying to rush to an altar service here there's two groups of people we're going to rub shoulders with people that are hungry for God and people that hated Jesus when he was here and they'll hate us because we're here because as long as we stand as a Spirit-filled church we're a reminder to a world and even religions that they need to change their lives and there's some folks that would love to cover up then repent they would rather try to destroy the Church of the Living God and you are such a foolish individual to think that you would dare destroy the Church of the Living God she is 2 000 years old the masterminds of Rome tried to destroy her they dipped the Saints in wax and used them as street lights to line the cities of Rome but to their surprise the Christians did not diminish they just kept multiplying and multiplying and multiplying Rome Rome in their coliseums at halftime in their coliseums half times when they're Gladiators were fighting each other at halftime they brought out the Christians and they fed them to the Lions only to watch these Christians come out and and one historian said it was amazing to watch these Christians go to the guillotine it was amazing as they were released from their jail and they were walked through the city streets to be beheaded these ignorant fools walked as if they were walking in a parade they walk as if they were walking to something they were looking forward to well let me tell you historian the Bible says for me to live is Christ and for me to die is gay that's why you can be sharpening the sword to cut off the Apostle Paul's head but Paul writes his last letter and says there's a crown waiting for me and not only you're not going to destroy the church oh my God the church is a visible reminder to a lost world that they need their sins forgiven and only Jesus can forgive their sins of righteousness verse 10 John 16 10 of righteousness because I go to my father and you see me no more you see we have received the righteousness of God because we believe in his word as Abraham did we are the sons and daughters of Abraham we are the spiritual Jews of Abraham we're the spiritual Jews he was a lineage of Jews but we are the spiritual Jews of Abraham blessed by the same righteousness what righteousness was that let me tell you what righteousness is righteousness is God looking at you and saying God is saying you are right and you are justified in my eyes it's God's sin that you're right you are in right standing with God you are in right standing with God now I know we work to be on on the good side of people but can I tell you work believe to be on the righteous side of God how was Abraham righteous God spoke a word to him and God said so shall your seed be in Abraham looked up into the dark skies and saw the stars and he looked and said God I'm hearing you but God what I'm seeing I'm an old man and I've never I I have never given my wife and I have never had children I'm an old man and and and we've never it's impossible but Abraham looked up into the Stars and he said God your word there's nothing impossible and you and I as the spiritual Sons and Daughters of Abraham we embrace the promises of God the promises of God says if any man be in Christ he's a new creature old things have passed away behold all things are new I just believe that amen I just believe that verse it says all things work together for good to them that love God and whoever called you say man don't you see how your life is messed up you're sitting here today man if I went on what my life looks like I'd get up and walk out right now we don't look at what our life looks at right now we look into the Skies of the Eternal Word of the Living God and I know that he's with me and I know that he's inside of me today come on give him praise in this house this morning I'm giving you the Holy Ghost I'm giving you the Holy Ghost for three reasons because the world needs a witness and because I want to see in you the same DNA that was in Abraham I want to put my spirit in you and you're going to believe me although you don't see it you're going to believe me in the last thing he said of judgment verse 11 of chapter 16 of John of judgment because the prince of this world is judged can I tell you something the devil isn't going to be defeated he is already defeated really really he's oh absolutely he's already defeated he he he's already defeat don't know he's much alive well he may be much at work right now but he knows his time is short and I'll go ahead and tell you this he may be able to work on those that don't have the spirit but he has to get permission to come into the fence of my yard and if he gets in the fence of my yard I have to accept a couple of things God you let him in and if you let him in you allow him to test my faith and I don't care what he wreaks havoc in my life I'm never going to stop believing God I'm never going to stop trusting God and I'm I know this trial is going to come to an end and just like job when it came to job's end God blessed him with twice as much as he had before twice as much children twice as much cattle twice as much God bless hey oh if I don't watch it I'm gonna start preaching about a double portion of the spirit because I'm talking about Evelyn he's already defeated he's already defeated of judgment because the prince the devil Satan is judged he is judged musicians would you come the prince of this world is judged you must say he is judged first John now not the Gospel of John but the Epistle of John first John chapter 4 verse number one I want to show you something very quickly beloved believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world know ye not no there hereby excuse me hereby know ye the spirit of God now he said this is how you're going to know the spirit of God because there's a lot of spirits now you got to realize John is writing to people that don't have a Bible all right you still with me this morning John is writing to people that don't have a Bible and there was a lot of people coming around saying thus saith the Lord he was even in the Old Testament there's false prophets in the Old Testament and he says he says you got to try the spirits you you've got to put the spirits to the test now nowadays thank God for our Bibles because you don't try the spirit you don't test the spirit you go examine the spirit what are they preaching what's his relationship with God like because you're not going to get a banana from an apple tree I don't care if somebody takes a banana on an apple tree don't believe it's a banana tree and you're not going to get the word of God from somebody that don't know God see you go to this book right here but they didn't have it but here's what they said verse two you said hereby I know ye the spirit of God this is how you're going to know the spirit of God every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God this is that Spirit of antichrist wherever you have heard that it should come and even now already is is it in the world now watch this this is the year about A.D this is the year about about 80 90 about 80 90. all right the church is a little over 60 years old and Hell wants to stop this church hail sees you can't persecute them and kill them you read the book of Acts persecution you're not going to kill them they just multiply Rome can't Stomp Them Down they just go somewhere else and begin to preach somewhere else and start another church somewhere else and so hell said the only way we'll defeat the church is to confuse the identity of Jesus Christ so he spoke into men's ear to say go out and say that Jesus Christ was an angel he was just an Angelic being he was just a a a a a like a like you'd cast an image on a wall from a projector he was just an image there don't save it wasn't alive don't say he didn't live because he'd done too many miracles just say he wasn't he just doesn't angel and there were people that began to believe that he wasn't flesh if you don't believe he's fleshed and you don't believe in Calvary and so John just simply said If a person comes and tells you that Jesus was not in flesh that's the Antichrist that's the Antichrist you see the first works of the Antichrist wasn't a number on your forehead it was to confuse the identity of Jesus Christ and I don't have time to get into that today but for hundreds of years there was mass confusion until this third century when they bottled that confusion and they put it in a dogma and it's believed today he said every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh that spirit is of God verse 4. you are of God little children and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you then he that is in the world that's why I stand and say today the devil isn't going to be defeated he is already defeated because there is a greater spirit in US oh just let me bring this to a close this morning let me bring this to a close verse 5 the same they are of the world they therefore speak they of the world and the world Hearth them you see these false prophets the world are hearing them you're of God he that knoweth God heareth us he that is not of God heareth not us hereby know we the spirit look look at this what two Spirits are here the spirit of Truth and the spirit of error Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error I'm trying just to plea please give me just a moment I want to bring this to a close and um it's two Spirits in our world today the spirit of Truth the Bible said You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free free shall make you free free but the spirit of error the spirit of error will put you into greater bondage then you're already in you'll go from bondage to bondage to more bondage to more bondage because it's the spirit of error the Gospel of John chapter 8 verse 39. Jesus is trying to tell the Pharisees who he is he's trying to give them his identity before Abraham was I am and he's trying to tell them who I am John 8 39 he's in conversation with these Pharisees John 8 39 they they answered and said unto him Abraham is our father Jesus saith unto them if you were Abraham's children he would do the works of Abraham but now you seek to kill me a man that told you the truth which I have heard of God this did not this did not Abraham verse 41 Jesus says to them you you do the Deeds of your father then said they to him we be not born of fornication we have one father even God now here's what they try to do to him he was commonly believed that Joseph's Mary and Joseph committed fornication before they were married and it was commonly spread that Jesus was born of fornication and they threw it in his face they said we're not born of fornication we have one father even God Jesus said unto them if God were your father you would love me for I perceived forth and came from God neither came I of myself but he sent me why do ye not understand my speech even because you cannot hear my word you are of your father the devil and the lust of your father you will do he was a murderer from the beginning and Abode not in the truth because there's no truth in him when he speaketh when he speak of the LIE he speaketh of his own for he is a liar and a and the father of it and because I tell you the truth you believe me not he says you can't hear me because you're used to hearing a lie you're of your father the devil and notice it called him a murderer from the beginning what did he murder I'll tell you what he murdered I'm gonna tell you what this is in reference to when Cain slew his brother Abel who was sacrificing the devil was in Cain and the devil said Cain you got to kill that sacrifice because if they kill if they keep on sacrificing they're going to sacrifice their way into freedom and so Cain under the influence of Satan killed his brother Abel can I tell you today the voice of the enemy is trying to keep you away from Calvary the voice of the enemy is trying to keep you away from the payment that was paid for you on an Old Rugged Cross for your sins the adversary today is trying his best to tell you it's just another church he's just another loud fast preacher it's just another song and it's just a bunch of emotion and hell is hoping that you believe that lie and that you get up and you walk out of here so that he can continue the spirit of error the spirit of air but the spirit of Truth is here today he loves you that's Truth for God so love the world that he gave he loves you that's truth he came to change your life that's truth he wants to fill you with the Holy Ghost that is truth today but there's something about his name would you stand with me today can I get you to begin to praise the name of Jesus right now come on if this is error today if this is error today would you just begin to praise the name of Jesus would you would you allow the name of Jesus to roll off your lips to roll off your tongue Jesus Jesus I'll send a comforter in my name I'll send the comforter in my name There's Something About the Name Something About the Name of Jesus Jesus come on now come on come on now sing it sing it Jesus Christ I want our altar workers that we worked with for several weeks I want our certified altar workers would you step up here to the front for a moment now these these Ultra workers that are coming right now and I just I just like for our altar workers to come right now are all to workers our
