Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The blood that cries: Abel's voice and a better word

  • His head text is God's word to Cain: the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
  • Abel's blood cried from the ground for revenge against the brother who murdered him in the field.
  • Against it he sets the blood of sprinkling, which speaketh better things than that of Abel: the blood of Jesus cries mercy to mankind, not revenge.
  • Without the shedding of that blood there would be no resurrection and no new life; we would still be in our sins.

Scriptures: Genesis 4:10; Hebrews 12:24

The life of the flesh is in the blood

  • After the flood God teaches Noah's family that the life of the flesh is the blood thereof, and flesh with its blood is not to be eaten.
  • Whoever sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed, because man is made in the image and likeness of God.
  • From then on, whenever Israel saw the blood of a sacrifice, they understood they were seeing the life of that sacrifice given.

Scriptures: Genesis 9:4; Genesis 9:6

Voices, signs, and the blood of deliverance

  • God gave Moses signs that themselves had voices: the rod become a serpent, the hand made leprous and restored, and at last water from the river become blood on the dry land.
  • On the Passover night the lamb without blemish is killed and its blood struck on the two side posts and the upper door post of the houses.
  • The blood is a token on the houses: when I see the blood, I will pass over you — and God dates a new beginning, a first month of the year, from the blood of the Lamb.

Scriptures: Exodus 4:8-9; Exodus 12:1-8; Exodus 12:10-13

The blood of the covenant at Sinai

  • At Sinai Moses builds an altar, takes half of the blood in basins and sprinkles half on the altar, then reads the book of the covenant in the audience of the people.
  • He sprinkles the blood on the people themselves, saying, Behold the blood of the covenant which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.
  • His application: the life of God is in the word of God, so the church needs no gimmicks to draw people — somebody just has to preach the word.

Scriptures: Exodus 24:1-8

By his own blood he entered in once

  • The first covenant had its worldly sanctuary and ordinances, but into the second tabernacle went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, and the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest.
  • If the blood of bulls and goats sanctified to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who offered himself without spot to God, purge the conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
  • He entered in once into the holy place by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us — and on the cross, having received the vinegar, he said, It is finished.

Scriptures: Hebrews 9:1-14; John 19:30

My blood, shed for the remission of sins

  • At the table Jesus gives the cup with the words: this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
  • Remission, he insists, is not sins merely stopped but sins let go as if they had never been committed.
  • The risen Christ opens the apostles' understanding and sends the message out: repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Scriptures: Matthew 26:27-28; Luke 24:45-47

Beginning at Jerusalem: what shall we do?

  • The apostles return to Jerusalem, the very place where repentance and remission were appointed to be preached first.
  • Peter ends his preaching that day: let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ — and the hearers, already believers, are pricked in their heart and ask what they must do.
  • Peter's answer is the sermon's doctrinal centre: repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Scriptures: Acts 1:12; Acts 2:36; Acts 2:38

Faith in his blood, and sins washed away

  • All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood.
  • Faith in the blood is where a believer starts, but he warns against staying at faith alone and mistaking the joy of repentance for the remission itself.
  • Paul himself, a believer three days blind, had his sins washed away only when the man sent to him said: arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Scriptures: Romans 3:21-25; Acts 22:16

Clothed with a vesture dipped in blood

  • His closing read is the returning Lord on the white horse, Faithful and True, whose eyes are as a flame of fire and who is clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, his name called The Word of God.
  • The blood is not a one-time act to rest on: if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all unrighteousness.
  • Two are baptized that morning in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins, and he charges any who doubt their own baptism to ask two questions: was the name of Jesus called over you, and was it for the remission of your sins?

he would remain standing only in honor of the reading of God's word I'll direct your attention to the Book of Genesis chapter number 4. we'll begin reading there at verse number 10 and then we're going to go all the way to the back of the Bible in reference to Genesis and that is Hebrews chapter number 12 and verse number 24. next Sunday we will be celebrating the resurrection of Our Lord but this Sunday we're going to discuss we're going to discuss the shedding of his blood the shedding of his blood Genesis chapter 4 and verse number 10. and God said what hast thou done the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground the voice the voice of thy brother's blood crieth to me from the ground go all the way to Hebrews chapter 12. into verse number 24. Hebrews chapter 12 verse 24. and to Jesus the mediator of the New Covenant that's New Testament and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of Abel the blood that speaketh better things and so this morning I'd like to minister to you on the subject The Cry The Cry Of The Blood The Cry Of The Blood please remember in prayer you know for some time now we have been we have been translating our service into Spanish but because we are having so many people move to our area that are not fluent in English we're finding it very needful to look into Avenues of other languages more than just Spanish Mandarin Chinese and that we would be able to take this service and and that they would be able to hear it in their in their language amen don't you think everybody should be able to hear in their language and so um Tim and Leah Lee will be with us from Singapore and they're going to help facilitate us being able to interpret into into other languages Jesus is coming and we need to get ready father I love you thank you for the word today that you've given me Lord over the past few days what you've spoken to my heart to speak this morning Lord I Thank You For Every Soul that's here this morning every person God I thank you for our special guests that are here I thank you for our guest Cindy that I met before service I thank you Lord of all the churches she could be it she she chose to come here thank you Lord I'm just privileged and I honored God that these people would come and I praise you today in Jesus name we pray Give the Lord a hand of Praise as you're being seated The Cry Of The Blood The Cry of the blood next Sunday we're going to be emphasizing we're going to be emphasizing Victorious over death Hell In The Grave we're going to be emphasizing uh the resurrection of Jesus Christ the new life that through the resurrection that he has given to us but we must understand that without without the shedding of that blood without the horrible scene of Calvary and what he submitted himself to the crucifixion that there would be no Resurrection there would be no new life we would still yet be in our sins I begin to to look at the subject of blood the subject of blood and of course the first reference in the Bible to blood has to do with the first murder that took place we understand that these two brothers Cain and Abel Abel worship God in an acceptable way with an acceptable sacrifice and Cain in the process of time chose to be stubborn and still self-willed and he chose to give God what he deemed as appropriate we know that that God God did not bless uh Cain and his offering and the blessing must have been apparent it must have been something a fire coming down from heaven and consuming the fruit that he brought or whatever but evidently it it touched his emotions and the emotion of anger began to boil in Cain and it had its it had its peak when Cain when Cain murdered his brother Abel he took the life he took the life of his brother Abel he thought it had been hidden because he killed murdered Abel in the field he thought it had been hidden from sight Adam and Eve didn't witness it he thought that it had been hidden but God comes and God asks a question to Cain where is your brother and in a very sarcastic way he says to God in a sarcastic way am I My Brother's Keeper very sarcastic and of course I don't want to get off my subject today but but 10 out of 10 people that don't worship are sarcastic about the ways of God where is your brother I don't know am I My Brother's Keeper and then God revealed to Cain he said your brother's blood is crying to me your brother's blood is crying your brother's blood has a voice and your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground that received the blood and so I begin to as I looked at that I began to understand that blood has a voice especially when I cross-reference Genesis 4 10 with Hebrews 12 24 God wanting to tell the people at that time how much better the New Covenant was that was sealed in his blood how much Superior how much better the New Testament was that was sealed in his blood he uses cane or he uses able and he says that he says my blood that was shed speaketh better things than those of Abel Abel's blood cried from the ground for Revenge Abel's blood was crying out revenge for this murder revenge for this wrong but the blood of Jesus Christ cries out from Mercy to Mankind I'm so glad today that we have a God that shed his blood to give us the voice of Mercy I'm glad today to tell someone that God will accept you if you will come to him today God will accept you into his family if you will allow him to identify that which stands between you and him and that is sin and what can wash away our sins nothing but the blood of Jesus what can make us whole again nothing but the blood of Jesus turning over to chapter 9 of Genesis verse number four the flood has happened no way is given a New Covenant from God Noah's given a little bit of the rehearsal of the former Covenant the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon the Beast of the earth and the fowl of the air and he comes all the way down to verse number four of chapter nine and he says but flesh with the life thereof which is the blood thereof ye shall not eat so God begins God begins to educate man much like the discipleship class was educating these beautiful men and women that came across today slowly but methodically God began to weave the importance of the blood he tells he tells Noah and his family the life of the flesh is in the blood now this is back before scientists and all kinds of discoveries that give us today the obvious we know that the life of the flesh is in the blood but they were not aware of this and so God says to Noah and his family the life what causes you to have life in your body is the blood that is in your body and then God gave capital punishment he said if a man would take the life of another man shed his blood take his life then by man's hands would his life be taken why would that be why would it be that God would require if one person killed another person by shedding their blood why would that person's life need to be taken and the explanation is because man is unlike the animals man is made in the image and in the likeness man is made in the image and in the likeness of God verse number six who so shedeth man's blood by man shall his blood be shed for in the image of God made he man so now Noah in this new this new world that they're in the next time they offer a sacrifice and they see the red blood they understand that the red blood that comes from that sacrifice is the life of that sacrifice it is it is a life that has been given so they begin to see that when you saw blood you saw the life of whatever the blood had come from you saw the life of that of that of that animal and then sometime later you would join me in Exodus a few hundred years later God's people have been in bondage by pharaoh and it came time for God's people to be delivered from pharaoh and from and from Egypt and so on that night on that night they were instructed in Exodus chapter 4. in Exodus chapter 4 and verse number 9 excuse me this is the beginning of the Deliverance I I'm ahead of my notes just a little bit this is the beginning of their Deliverance you do remember when Moses was told by God to go down and demand the release of God's people the Israelites that God gave Moses the the ability the ability to to cast his rod down and it would become a serpent and then if they didn't believe the voice and it's interesting it's interesting that God uses the word voice he said when you cast your rod down and it becomes a serpent he said if they won't believe that voice if they won't believe that voice then he said take your hand and put it in your garment and when you put your hand in your garment bring it back out it'll be left for us and he said if they won't believe that voice and put your hand back in and it was cleaned of leprosy then God said if they won't believe these voices if they won't believe these voices look at Exodus chapter 4 and verse number eight and it shall come to pass if they will not believe thee nor hearken to the voice of the first sign that they will believe the voice that they will believe the voice of the latter sign and it shall come to pass he said there's going to be they won't believe one voice they won't believe this one voice but you're going to have another voice that they believe verse 9. and it shall come to pass if they will not believe also these two signs neither a hearken unto the voice that thou shalt take of the water that thou shalt take of the water of the river and pour it upon the dry land and the water which thou take us out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land and Moses said unto the Lord oh my Lord I am not eloquent and he goes in he goes into talking about not being eloquent but then in chapter number eight this is what God said if they won't believe these signs then you're going to turn the Nile River into what blood it's judgment this is blood that you're going to turn the Nile River Exodus chapter 8. and verse number 14. it says in chapter eight and let me let me go back up to um let me go back up just just just for just for a second the Nile River the Nile River is turned into blood the Nile River is turned into blood uh if has any of you ever written something down incorrectly you had the right thing on your mind but you wrote it down incorrectly could you raise your hand with me for a moment thank you that's what I've done I'm not alone here today so the the blood as they struck the Nile River with the rod the Nile river which had been their water source now is turned into blood and not only are they unable to drink they even the scripture says dig around the Nile River trying to find water but they cannot find water but not even that were they without water but the Bible says that the fish that were in the Nile River died and there was a tremendous odor of rot that came from the Nile River again God is using the symbol of blood as a symbol of judgment Pharaoh would eventually bow to this Moses and the god that this Moses represented and then in Exodus chapter 12 and verse number one God speaks to Moses and God spake unto Moses and Aaron's saying in the land in the land of Egypt saying this month shall be unto you the beginning of months it shall be the first month of the year to you please notice something with me now as we begin an analogy of the blood of the Lamb of Jesus Christ that God gives them a new calendar he says you're not going to be on the old Egyptian calendar anymore this is going to be when I begin to do my work with you through this Blood of the Lamb this is going to be the first month of the new year to you and I'm so thankful today to publicly praise God that he's a God that's able to give us a new beginning and a new year in the way go ahead if you'd like to give him a clap offering today if you're here today and you can relate to this and if you're here today and you can't relate to this my prayer is that one day you will relate to this but when God gives you a new life you begin to talk about your life before Christ and after Christ because he makes a notable difference in your life you could talk about that that's that was me before Christ that's what I did before Christ but now I'm a new man praise God verse number two this month shall be unto you the beginning of months it shall be the first month of the new of the Year to you speak you into all the congregation of the children of Israel saying in the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb according to the house of their fathers a lamb for a house and if the house so be too little for the lamb let him and his neighbor next unto him take it according to the number of the souls every man according to his eating shall you make your count for the lamb your lamb shall be without blemish a male of the first year ye shall take it from the sheep or from the goats and you shall keep it under the 14th day of the same month and the whole congregation the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening and they shall take of the blood and strike it upon the two-side post and upon the upper door post of the houses wherein they shall eat it and they shall roast the Flesh in that night roast with fire and they shall eat the Flesh in that night roast with fire and unleavened bread and with bitter herbs shall they shall they eat shall they eat go on down just with me for just a moment to verse number 10 of the same chapter and he shall let nothing of it remain into the morning of that which remaineth of it unto the morning you shall burn a fire and thus shall you eat it with your loins girded and your shoes on your feet you're stabbing your hand you shall eat eat it in haste it is the Lord's Passover look at verse 12 closely for I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will Smite all the firstborn of the land of Egypt both man and Beast and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment I am the Lord and the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses that word token there means a sign upon the houses this Blood shall be to you for a token a sign upon the houses where you are and when I see the blood I will pass over you and the plague shall shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt Again Church follow this God is telling us the life of the flesh is in the blood now he says blood is a something of judgment but now he comes around and he says blood will judge but now he is telling them about this Blood of the Lamb that they're the eat the lamb inside the house but on the outside of the house they are to smear the blood of the Lamb he said well that doesn't make any sense to me it doesn't have to make sense to you it only has to make sense to God because God said when I see the blood iron with me as I want to quickly East scripture stations I'm reading could be a series in and of themselves so I I want to go very quickly now a few years later a few years later in the book turn with me the book of um of Exodus the book of Exodus chapter number 24 and we'll begin reading it verse number one years later they stand at Mount Sinai years later they have been brought out of Egypt by the blood of the Lamb if you had a house that had the blood of the Lamb on the doorpost you were saved that night from your firstborn dying but if you didn't have the blood on your doorpost the death angel came and took the firstborn out of your house the firstborn even in the fields it would take but now Israel has been brought out of Egyptian bondage they have been brought through the Red Sea they are on their way to Canaan land they're on their way to Victory they pause they stop in chapter 24 because God has given Moses God has given Moses laws and God has given Moses ways that the people are to sacrifice and ways that the people are to live God has given Moses Ten Commandments that cover the moral behavior and civil behavior and and God has given them all these plans and then he comes to verse 1. of chapter 24. and he said unto Moses come up unto the Lord thou Aaron nadab and Abby Who and the seventy Elders of Israel and worship ye afar off and Moses alone shall come near the Lord but they shall not come nigh neither shall the people go up with him and Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord Moses comes and tells the people the word of God and all the judgments and all the people answered with one voice and said all the words which the Lord has said we will do Moses came down and he said congregation this is what God has said for us to do this and he lays it out about sacrifices and how to worship and and all of these different ways he said people this is the manner of our god this is how our God wants us to to live and desires for us to live verse 4. and Moses wrote all the words of the Lord and Rose up early in the morning and built an altar under the hill and 12 pillars according to the 12 tribes of Israel and he sent the young men of the children of Israel which offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the Lord in the sacrificing of these animals came the life of those animals what was the life of those animals the blood was alive the animals were sacrificed on fire and consumed but now the blood is brought verse 6 and Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar follow this closely and he took the book of the Covenant what was the book of the Covenant the word of God it was the word of God he took the book of the Covenant and read there in and read in the audience of the people and they said all the Lord has said we will do and be obedient once again Moses reads and the people once again give affirmation all the Lord says we will do and be obedient and Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said behold the blood of the Covenant which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words then Moses went up and Aaron and nadab and abio and the seventy Elders of Israel now this is what I want you to understand today when Moses sprinkled that blood on that book and Moses sprinkled that blood on Israel he was actually giving the Old Testament given the Old Testament typology of what you and I would enjoy through the shed blood of Jesus Christ his life blood is in the word of God we don't have to we don't have to come up with gimmicks as a church we don't have to come up with gimmicks to draw people to God we just need to preach the word if we preach the word the life of God is in the word just preach the word we don't have to come up with gimmicks we don't have to become a worldly church we don't have to become people friendly or relevant to everybody somebody just has to preach the word something happens when you preach the word what is it the blood that's upon the word is the life of the one of the one that is sacrificed now go all the way with me now to the book of Hebrews chapter number nine because A New Day Has Gone brother Creasy a new dispensation they're no longer under the law they're no longer under the Old Testament works of the law bring sacrifices cut their throats pour the blood out give this offering that we're living now under the grace dispensation the strength of God the strength of God dispensation some in the Bible were finding it hard to let go of long ingrained ways of approaching God Paul writes in the book of Hebrews and and I know there is some debate of whether it was Paul that wrote the book of Hebrews tonight or today and and uh all of that I don't really would never spend much I wouldn't spend any time arguing over who wrote who wrote Hebrews I personally believe that Paul wrote the book of Hebrews and if you don't believe that we're Americans and I believe you got the right to be wrong all right so we just kind of moved right up we just kind of moved right along Paul and Hebrews chapter 9 verse number one Paul says then verily the first Covenant which is what I've just read you of this morning the Old Testament had also ordinances ways of fulfilling what God Said in the Old Testament of divine service and a worldly Sanctuary now that's not worldly like we would think today it meant that God had something on Earth the Tabernacle he calls it a worldly sanctuary but it had Divine service to it in other words how they operated in this worldly sanctuary was how God told them to operate verse 2. for there was a tabernacle made in the first wherein the Candlestick the table the shoe bread which is called The Sanctuary now after the second Veil The of the Tabernacle the Tabernacle which is called the holiest of all which had the golden sensor and the Ark of the Covenant overlaid roundabout with gold wherein was the golden pot that had the manna and Aaron's Rod that budded and the tables of the Covenant the old The Ten Commandments and over it the cherubims of Glory overshadowing The Mercy Seat of which we cannot now speak particularly of verse 6. now when these things were thus ordained in other words when they were first set up the priest went always into the first into the first Tabernacle accompanying the service of God but into the second when the high priest alone once every year not without blood which he offered for himself and for the errors of the people for the Holy Ghost this signifying that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest while the first Tabernacle was yet standing in other words while they had that worldly Tabernacle the way into the holy of holies was not yet was not yet made verse 9 talking about the worldly Tabernacle which was a figure for the time then present in the which were offered both gifts and sacrifices that could not make him that did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience which stood only in meats and drinks and divers Washings and carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of reformation but Christ being come a high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect Tabernacle not made with hands that is to say not of this building neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy Place having obtained Eternal Redemption for us for if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean Sanctified to the peering of the flesh he said if God honored Those Old Testament bulls and goats and the offering of the the ashes if God would purify that way how much more I just gotta pause for a moment how much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offer himself without spot to God to God purge yourself from dead Works to serve a living God can I tell you today to next Sunday Lord willing we're going to celebrate an empty tomb we're going to celebrate a resurrected savior but we would have never had that had he not given us his life come on give him praise this morning give him praise this morning he gave his life he gave his life the Gospel of John chapter number 19. the Gospel of John chapter number 19. and verse number 30 Can someone say praise the Lord can someone that's glad for the blood say praise the Lord when Jesus therefore had received the vinegar he said it is finished and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost when he was finished when his life was given when his blood was shed when his blood was shed please see the two things here please see the two things twice in Exodus did God use the blood once for judgment upon the Egyptians and the second time he used it for deliverance for the children of Israel the judgment was the body of the sacrifice the blood that was shed is the basis and the foundation for our new life the blood that was shed turn with me to Matthew chapter 28 Matthew chapter excuse me Matthew chapter 26 Matthew chapter 26 and verse 28. Matthew chapter 26 and verse 28. this is the night before Jesus would be crucified the following day we have communion this is the meaning for the communion that we have but Jesus there that night as he took the cut in verse 27 and gave thanks and gave it unto them saying drink you all of it for this is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins for the remission of sins why is his blood shed for the remission of sins what keeps us from a new life is sin the only thing that we can grasp that can Deliver us from sin is the blood of Jesus Christ this blood is shed look at look at it there in verse 28 this his blood is shed for many for the remission of sin now let me give you the definition of the word remission it means letting them go as if they had never been committed some want to use the terminology I have cancer I'm in remission I don't believe that that is a good analogy because all they're saying is is the cancer is not growing it it it is stopped you are in remission but remission of sin isn't something is there I'm just I've just got in the church and I'm a better boy now I've got better Behavior now no no no no when the blood is applied If any man be in Christ he is a come on somebody shouted he is a oh things have passed away and behold All Things become new can somebody give him praise right now I'm shedding my blood Matthew 26 28 I'm shedding my blood to give you the remission of sins now go over with me today go over quickly with me today to the Book of Luke The Book of Luke chapter 24 and it'll be Luke chapter number 24 and verse number 47 the resurrected Christ he is resurrected from the grave he is about to send into heaven and in Luke 24 45 let's go there Luke 24 45 he's about to send back into heaven then opened he their understanding this these are the apostles Jesus opens their understanding that they might understand the scriptures and he saith unto them thus it is written and thus it behoove Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem he says at Jerusalem Andrew I'm about to leave he says but at Jerusalem you're going to hear a message at Jerusalem somebody say at Jerusalem you're going to hear a message there of repentance and remission of sins the word repentance is that blessed thing that we must do in order to turn about face stop going the direction that we're going in and going the opposite direction that we're going in young convert one night at Young convert brother Ambrose he got excited one night he was testifying bless his heart I know he meant well but he's telling how great God had done how God had changed his life and he said God touched me and I did a complete 360. right there I did a complete 360. now I know he meant to say a 180. but I I think there's too many people that are doing a 360. you see that this true gospel here causes you to turn around it causes you to face the shedding of the blood the remission the remission it's going to have repentance and remission and remission of sin beginning at Jerusalem Acts chapter 1 and verse number 12 the place where remission of sins and repentance would be preached would be at Jerusalem acts 1 and 12 then they returned they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called all of it which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath Day's Journey so now we have the place he said it would be at Jerusalem that repentance and remission of sins would be preached Acts chapter 2 the Holy Ghost comes the church the New Testament Church is birthed they gathered around after 120 had received the Holy Ghost that day and the Jews gathered around and they said what is this what meaneth this some mocked and said they're full of new wine they're a bunch of religious crazy people full of new wine but Peter stood up and Peter said we're not drunk as you suppose seeing but it's early in the morning but this is that which was spoken of the Prophet Joel and Peter began to preach the only saving message on Earth the only message that will get you out of here and to get you to heaven is the death burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ it is the only way we can get out of here oh give him praise right now give him praise right now give him praise right now he goes all the way down through the second chapter of the book of Acts and he comes up for air he comes up for air in Acts 2 36 Peter ends his message therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly Acts 2 36 no assuredly that God hath made that same Jesus whom you have crucified both Lord and Christ now when they heard this they said they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles men and Brethren what shall we do brother Chrissy they are believers right now they are believers they've heard the message of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and they believe that they have crucified their long-awaited Messiah they are believers if they hadn't been Believers you don't ask what must I do unless you believe you need to do something they were believers they believed that message oh Hallelujah I wish I could just teach and not want to preach but anytime you get God's life on you you can't help but move a little bit I'm not reciting poetry up here today I'm not reciting some historical it's got blood all over it it's got life all over you oh God Mighty God Of Heaven it's got men and Brethren why what shall we do remember what Jesus said beginning at Jerusalem where are we at now beginning at Jerusalem where are they at right now Jerusalem then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost he set my blood is shed through the remission of sin oh and then he said you go back to Jerusalem and you wait until you're going to hear about repentance and you're going to hear about remission of sins let me see just a minute act like I'm just a worldly Egyptian up here I'm walking by them crazy Jews done now boy that done messed up the pretty facing on the front of their houses look at them crazy people hey well some say they believe that you got to have that blood you got to have blood the Death Angel The Death Angel's gonna come through Atlanta you got to have that blood ain't gotta go ahead is that why they messed up their pretty facings on that house yeah look at them whacked up weird old people they they just believe it that way but I'm gonna tell you something less than 24 hours later they wasn't around accusing God's people they were trying to bury their firstborn they were trying to get shovels and bury the cows and bury the kids around because God kept his word please don't allow a worldly word don't allow a religious world to look at us and say tomato tomato it doesn't really matter how you're baptize it doesn't matter until you want to do it in Jesus name let's just say that it then all of a sudden now all of a sudden oh it matters oh it don't it they'll even tell you they'll even tell you it has no nothing to do with salvation but when God begins to lead a man and God's man wants to do it then all of a sudden let's take his license let's take it it's not just a pool of water it's just not somebody up here publicly when we say upon the profession of your faith I now indeed baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin every sin has been remitted it is as if it no law no faith and belief faith and belief is in the blood Faith In The Blood where you start out I start with faith in the blood but I'm not going to stay at faith in the blood I'm not going to State Faith In The Blood Romans just real quickly put me Romans chapter 3 just real real quickly I know some of y'all already called into Aubrey's already got a seat waiting on you right now just just hold on just hold on somebody just might want to be baptized this morning so somebody may just want to see look at Romans look at Romans chapter 3 and verse number 21 Romans chapter 3 verse number 21 but now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested in other words Paul's saying let God show you what righteousness looks like being witnessed by the law and the prophets even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe for their for there is no difference now here's what I want to see the righteousness even the righteousness which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all of them that believe I believe I believe in the shed blood of Jesus Christ I believe there's power there is power not was there is power in the 2000 year old shed blood of Jesus Christ verse 23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God being justified freely by his grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus where's the Redemption at in Christ Jesus where's the Redemption at in Christ Jesus whom God hath set forth to be the propitiation that were their propitiation means the covering it references The Mercy Seat the covering where is redemption at where's Redemption at church in Jesus Christ whom God has set forth to be the propitiation through faith through faith through faith in his blood through faith in his blood there's power in his blood through faith through the faith that is in his blood let's give him praise right now through the faith through the faith that is in his blood through the faith that is in his blood his faith can you say Amen the remission of sins faith in his blood well let me trim out some of this today Paul were your sins removed when you fell backward from that beast on the road to Damascus and you said who art out Lord and the Lord said I am Jesus Paul was your sins removed when you became a believer when you said Lord what will you have me do were your sins removed now if the Bible says that they were removed they were removed but Paul went through a series of things who are you Lord I'm Jesus Lord what will you have me do evidently he's a believer he says to the Lord Lord what will happen I've been fighting you and you're Jehovah you're the Lord what will you have me to do get up go into the city a man's going to come in and pray for you you're going to be three days blind but a man's gonna come in lay his hands on you you're going to be filled with the Holy Ghost and that man came to him Acts chapter 22 and verse 16 Bears it out a little bit clearer what happened in that room what happened in that room that day Paul is long removed from laying on his back in the dirt and asking Lord who art out this is after three days and the man comes to him and here's what the man says in Acts 22 16. and now why Terry is thou in other words what are you waiting on Paul what are you waiting on arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins calling on the name of the Lord don't settle that you felt Joy when you repented I did too when that load lifted from me but don't settle for remission of sins and mistake joy for remission of sins Joy is an emotion God can help you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that your sins have been remitted when you go down in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of those sins I want you to stand with me today I I just cut through some verses here musicians would you come thank God for his blood thank God for his blood I guess today there ain't nothing wrong next Sunday morning we're going to be celebrating New Life we're going to be celebrating an empty tomb songs will be upbeat we'll be celebrating an empty tomb we'll be celebrating New Life but can I tell you I would be a sinner unto God as a preacher of the Gospel to want to preach an empty tomb in a Victorious Christ and not tell you and I What it Took to get that empty tomb it took blood it took it took blood I want to read one more verse of scripture but before I do I want to ask that every person understands what I've been teaching for the last 45 minutes or so I want you to give a public display of how thankful you are for the blood oh God oh god oh what an opportunity today to be washed in the blood oh what an opportunity today to be washed in the blood brother Creasy brother and sister Ambrose and I've been privileged to meet several of their friends that were evangelists are our evangelists preachers and one of the things I talked to them about because if God has used me to help play a little role in their life causing them to see the name and the importance is it Alabama camp this year I sat down with brother Keith and we begin to talk about we begin to talk and he said well first thing he said well we real well we really stumble at in our movement is that we've been told by some of you that we don't have nothing that we don't have nothing I said well listen you're not talking to some of them here I believe they do have something I do I believe they do have a walk with God but you know what just as we have to meet them there and say but come a little further let go of tradition and come a little further we need to watch it on this end that we don't put our faith in the act we don't put our faith in the ACT well well I was baptized we don't put our faith in the act the outward because watch this now watch this now what remits our sins what remits our sins my blood that is shed for the remission of sins the act of water baptism it's not a work an act of water baptism initiates the remission of sins but not only that the Bible says to the believer that has been baptized my little children I write unto you that you send not but if any man sin we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have Fellowship one with another and the blood of his dear son cleanse it us from all unrighteousness I just didn't go get water baptized and that was it still today the only thing that can wash away sin is the shed blood of Jesus Christ I close with this today do we have a baptism this morning two to be baptized this morning and while they're getting ready I want to read to you revelation chapter 19 and verse number 20 the end has come God robed in flesh is coming back to this earth to do War and in
