if you have your Bibles tonight if you have your Bibles tonight and would stand with me in honor of reading the word of God in Joshua chap 1 verse number one I read some of this text last Sunday Night Under the Tent thank God we had to receive the Holy Ghost last Sunday night in the backyard of this church back there Under the Tent God filled too with the Holy Ghost and thank God this morning inside of this building God filled five precious Souls of the Holy Ghost I forget which gentleman I was praying with but he would say plainly I love you Jesus and then he would go into a moan and you could kind of hear you could kind of hear the Holy Ghost breaking through that moan and I just whispered in the ear and I just told him I said you're saying I love you Jesus plainly I said concentrate on what's trying to speak out of you in between and boy when he did boom he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost God wants to pour out his Spirit on my on how much flesh come on on how much Jesus is coming and I love him I'm here tonight because I love him I'm not here tonight because I have to be here I'm not here tonight and that's what makes it so beautiful with you too you're here tonight because not you don't have to be here you're here tonight because you want to be here you see people that are scared last about a month but people that are in Love Last about a lifetime and by the looks of this crowd tonight I believe there's a lot of people that love the Lord that love the Lord in this place well let's preach for a few moments tonight Joshua 1 verses 1 and two now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of none saying Moses my servant is dead now therefore rise and go over this Jordan thou and all this people unto the land which I do give them even to the children of Israel go down to verse 10 of the same chapter please verse number 10 then Joshua commanded the officers of the people saying pass through the host and command the people saying prepare you vitual now see that word is in the Bible that does mean food Jed clampet said viddles but it was really visuals prepare you vitual for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it go down to verse 16 verse 16 and they answered Joshua saying all that thou commandest us we will do and unto thee only the Lord thy God be with thee as he was with Moses whosoever everybody say whosoever whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment and will not hearken unto thy words and all that thou command him he shall be put to death only be strong and of good courage two more passages of scripture flip over to chapter two of Joshua chapter 2 of Joshua verse number nine Rahab the Harlot speaks and she said unto the men I know that the Lord hath given you the land and that your terror is Fallen upon us and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you for we have heard we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt and what he did unto the two kings of the amorites that were on the other side Jordan Sion and OG whom you utterly destroyed for a few moments tonight to the church I want to minister this subject the four voices in the church four I want to preach tonight on four voices in the church if you be so kind to put your Bible down and just lift up your voices tonight let's ask the Lord to speak to us through the word God I thank you tonight Lord that we spoke to you God through prayer tonight God we talk to you through prayer this evening before church begin and God we talked to you through songs and we spoke to you God through the giving of an offering but now holy God we come to you through your word and now it's time for you to speak to us Lord I pray tonight that you would touch Every Soul under the sound of my voice those that are present those that are watching online that you would begin to move with your Mighty Redemptive power right now Lord there's no man no woman that is too far from being saved tonight there's no one tonight under the sound of my voice that's beyond the point of receiving grace and mercy and receiving a new beginning Lord Jesus I just ask you to anoint your servant tonight God I'll give you praise and honor and glory in Jesus name we pray amen and amen Give the Lord a hand of Praise as you're being seated tonight four voices in the church voices are important voices are important they're important because voices have agendas behind them voices have purpose behind them Paul when writing to to the church at Corin said that there are so many kinds of voices in the world today First Corinthians 14:10 Paul said there are so many kinds of voices in the world today and none of them is without signification he said there's a lot of voices there's a lot of voices in our world today and all of them have an agenda he calls it signification but he said all of them all of them have purpose now knowing that there's all kinds of different voices in our world today there's all kinds of different voices in our world today alluding even back to the war that's going on in Israel right now there are all different kinds of voices that's being said about what is going on understanding that there are kind many different kinds of voices and they all have an agenda would you not agree with me tonight Church that it is of the utmost importance that you and I listen to the right voice we listen to the right voice oh God help me I want to listen to the right voice I want to listen to the right voice voices are powerful speeches are powerful do you do do you realize do you realize history has been turned on the speech of a man history turns on speeches that men give Adolf Hitler Adolf Hitler was a tremendous now he was wrong and and please nobody I don't I don't need you to come at church and tell me how I know how Wicked the man how Wicked and demon possessed and all that but what made him powerful is he was a tremendous orator some of his speeches went on for hours and he took his ability to speak to speak into the German nation and the tide was turned Martin Luther King Jr stood for a most worthy cause civil rights and that speech that he gave at the Lincoln Memorial I have a dream still yet to this day sends chill bumps up and down I've been on the mountain I can hear him B I've looked over in the promised land that speech there turns turns the tide Abraham Lincoln with the gidd isburg address and on and on but oh what about the most important speeches what about the voice of one in the wilderness John the Baptist saying repent or what about the most important voice that there is the voice of the Lord now there's a voice that I want to tune my ear to I want to tune my ear to the voice of the Lord you know why the voice of the Lord is powerful the voice of the Lord can take chaos and turn it into creation the voice of the Lord can take a storm and turn it into a calm the V voice of the Lord can take a dead man Lazarus in a tomb and the voice of the Lord can Thunder and Lazarus who had been dead four days will come out of that grave Bound in grave clothes but he'll come out alive can you say Amen tonight oh that voice of the Lord the first chapter of the Book of Joshua and the Book of Joshua is a transitional book Israel is going to go from wonders to surveyors they're going to go from people that just wander around in the desert for 40 years they're going to go from people that just get up every morning and it's the same old same oh they're just going to walk today but there's going to come a time when Israel is going to go from wonders to surveyors surveyors I mean they're going to come to that time when Moses is going to die sometimes things have to die in our lives for us to enjoy a Promised Land amen sometimes we have to allow some things to die in our lives if not we just wander around hurt we wander around bad decisions we wander around things happen in our past and we can't do anything about we wander around for year after year after year and sad to say some people die when they could be surveyors Joshua's this transitional book When God says I'm getting you ready for something new I have taken your leader I have taken Moses to the top of the mountain now you may W you may wonder is he there getting another Revelation but I know for a fact that Moses is dead God says because I took him and I buried him but because the worker is dead does it mean that the work doesn't go on the work goes on regardless if the worker is still alive Moses is dead and then the first chapter if you just allow me a few minutes to lay the foundation for this message tonight the four voices in the church the first chapter of the Book of Joshua this transitional book has 18 verses in it it has 18 verses in Joshua chapter 1 over half of the first chapter nine verses half of the first chapter is given to the voice of the Lord the voice of the Lord begins to speak to Joshua and the voice of the Lord says Moses mes my servant is dead now therefore I want you to arise isn't that amazing God says your Moses is dead but it's time for you to get up feel like telling somebody tonight there's some situations in your life that's dead it's time for you to get up and continue to live life your life isn't over welcome to the house of God welcome welcome to the place of New Beginnings welcome to the place to where God do you believe that tonight where God makes all things new welcome to the house of restoring your joy welcome to this house tonight Moses my servant Moses my servant is dead I want you to get up I want you to get up Joshua and I'm going to go ahead I'm going to go ahead start reading at verse three of chapter 1 every place that the soul of your foot shall tread upon that shall I give you that shall I that that shall I I have given unto you as I said unto Moses from the Wilderness this Lebanon even under the Great River the river Euphrates all the land of the Hittites under the great sea going down toward the going down to of the sun shall be your Coast now follow this he said look at what I'm going to give you look at what I've already given you look at what's already there Joshua I've already given it to you listen to verse five there shall not be any man able to stand before thee all the days of their of thy life as I was with Moses so I will be with thee I will not fail thee nor forsake thee be strong and of good courage For unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land which I swear unto their fathers to give them only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee turn not from it to the right hand nor to the left that thou mayest Prosper whether soever thou goest now I want you to understand something God is encouraging Joshua to go ahead and get up and go over into the promised land god tonight God tonight could make us but God tonight is into obedience and God wants to prag us God wants to move us tonight to get up and he begins to prag us with a promise as I was with Moses so shall I be with you church tonight if you've ever heard or ever seen anybody healed God is still the same if you've ever seen God miraculously make a way and open doors God is no respector of persons and if God Did It for one God can do it for all of us tonight take courage tonight God is still powerful and God is still on the throne tonight and God is still for his people he's progging us as I was with Moses I will be with you and he tells him not once but twice be strong and of good courage now when I read that when I was reading this first chapter and I keep hearing God say to Joshua over and over again be strong and very courageous I had in my mind the attitude that he had to have toward the enemies that were in the promised land I had that I had to be strong toward the enemy I had to be strong toward the adversaries I had to be very courageous and I had to go out and fight but when I begin to read this tonight when I begin to read it some time ago I found out I found out that in verse number six where he says be strong and of good courage For unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land which I swear unto their fathers to give them look at verse seven only be thou strong and very courageous that that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law he's not telling you to be strong for the enemy why he's already taken care of the enemy he's not telling you to be courageous toward the enemy that's in the promised land why in God's mind I've already fought your battles I've already fought every battle I've already fought every battle that you're going listen every battle that you or I are going to face God has all already fought that battle and God has already won that Victory so why does he telling to be strong and very courageous because where we stumble is in obeying the word of God look up here at me tonight church let me tell you as your pastor if you will be strong and very courageous and not not back down from obeying the word of God there is nothing that's impossible for you tonight whatever scriptures you're stumbling with whatever you're stumbling with be strong and of of great courage and God will give you that land well brother Carpenter I just don't understand this praise and this worship business the only thing you've got to do is obey it if you will obey it you will understand it if you will just obey God takes Delight in your mouth being open and praise issuing and gushing Hallelujah and praise the Lord and thank you Jesus he loves hand clapping and he loves hand waving he loves all of this worship tonight can I tell you if you'll just be strong and be a worshiper God Will Make A Way you'll never enjoy Financial Freedom and financial blessings until you're strong and very courageous with your finances you'll always listen until we obey tithe and offerings doesn't matter how much you make doesn't matter the promotion doesn't matter how much more on the hour you got holes in your pockets brother you got holes in your pockets I don't care that you see the light at the end of the tunnel that's an oncoming train you got holes in your pockets that's right but until you learn how to be strong and very courageous and give God what is duly his and then give him a love offering you're going to struggle you're going to live in the land of you're going to live in the land of lack in Egypt they didn't have enough in the wilderness they just had enough but it's time for you to move over to the promised land where my God is more than enough but you got to be strong and you got to be very courageous you got to give one it's your last dollar because if it's tithing it's not your last dollar it's God's dollar but if you can ever be strong enough just you mean I can't dress like this not if the Bible says not to right but you see you got to be strong and very courageous oh they're going to make fun of me why you they crucified Jesus that's right They Crucified him are we too good or are we too worldly minded to face a little persecution how about facing a little persecution for him as long as it brings him glory you got to be strong and you got to be very courageous for nine verses for nine verses the voice of the Lord spoke over and over to Joshua be strong and very courageous go into of the land every place that the soul of your foot the soul of your foot shall tread I'm going to tell you why some people cannot enjoy freedom is that the soul of their foot is not in it now I know the soul here I'm going to play on some words for a moment he said ever place the soul of your foot s o l l e the soul of your foot he said every place that the s o l e can step I'm on give it to you but that's the Old Testament but now God says in the New Testament I Want You To Worship me with all your heart all your mind and all your soul s o u l you see some folks can never walk in Victory because their s o l is not in this you you got to get your s o UL inside of this you got to get your soul inside of this you know why men be men and women become great athletes it's not just that they became a great great athletes their soul was in it they didn't practice on Game Day When the Crowds of 880,000 were there they practice on a rainy day running up and down bleachers why because their so s o u l was in it and if we can get our s o u l in the church if we can get our soul in the church I want to be here I want to be to the house of God it's not oh is it Sunday again it's man it's Sunday again it's not oh is it Wednesday night it's oh it's Wednesday night I was glad s o u l I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house get your soul in this thing Church get your soul in this thing the voice of the Lord is that first voice the voice of the Lord is that first voice that speaks it's the most important voice voice that there is the second voice tonight the second voice tonight I I always love to hear a preacher preach don't you that has like four points and he tells you up front I've got four points because you can sit there and say okay he got one down it's only 9 minutes after seven he's got one down let me give you the second voice the second voice was Joshua the second voice was the voice of the preacher you see the voice of the preacher we don't need lectures we don't need speeches we don't need motivational speeches we don't need we don't need men we don't need song writers that can write a song that can relate to the world and Jesus we don't need listen one of the listen one of the insults that I would ever receive is somebody and I don't think let brother Arnon I don't think it'll ever happen I don't think any Corporation in town is going to call me to come and give a motivational speech but if I was a preacher and I was only getting invited to go to uh uh some kind of Corporation and give speeches I think that would bother me because what we need to be this preacher is nothing but an echo of God's voice that's all he is God spoke to Joshua and Joshua spoke to the people thank God for the preacher thank God for the men and women of God thank God that somebody hears from God you see today don't slap me brother Nolan on the back dad you did a good job this morning five got the Holy Ghost all I was was an echo in a canyon because 2,000 years ago a God died and said I want to F every human being with the baptism of the Holy Ghost we're just an echo the preachers just an echo God wants to bless you God God wants to be with you God wants to see you through God wants to be your midnight comforter God wants to be your all in all God wants to be your everything Joshua speaks Joshua steps out and Joshua begin to tell the people let's go back to verse 10 and see it again Joshua goes verse 10 read it with me look at it with me closely then Joshua commanded the officers of the people saying now God spoke now Joshua heard now Joshua speaks to the people much like we're doing here tonight Joshua commanded the officers of the people saying pass through the host command the people saying prepare you vitual for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan and go into the into possess the land which the Lord your God give give you to possess it I said it last Sunday night I want to say it again tonight Joshua was giving a message of the miraculous it is God that's going to make a way through the Jordan River it is God that is going to miraculously prepare a path through the Jordan River for Israel to go across on dry land but in the midst of the miraculous there is simply the practical that takes place the Practical takes place Joshua simply says hey boys pack your lunch bring something to eat have something ready to eat because it doesn't matter if you're waiting on the miraculous you still live in a fleshly body that is going to get hungry can I tell you tonight let's be practical until the miracle comes I've got to be practical and until the miracle comes I need to I need to be practical I need to understand there are basic things I have to have in this world well brother Carpenter I'm just not really going to get a job because I'm believing Jesus is going to come any day I believe you're very foolish to believe that I believe you need to get a job and let the Rapture interrupt you on your way to work because an idle mind more people have lost out with God over an idle mind than they have over any kind of sin that Satan can be you need to have a job you need to get up in the morning you need to put diapers on your children you need to make sure their teeth are brushed you need to make sure their hair is combed you need to make sure they're going about their work you say I thought you was talking about the miracle I ain't going to get to the miracle if I don't have some practical there man man we had a real good service this morning I think I'm going to go back tonight no your mind ought have been made up before we had a good service this morning I get tickled at people I get people tickled at people to sell me every time we have a good service I'm gone stay here that's how you cure that practical is I need to have a daily prayer life I need to have a time of talking to God every day Joshua said pack you some food boys I know God's going to do the miraculous but pack you some food be ready pack you some food Joshua said three days three days we're going over the Jordan River pack your food up pack your food up then Joshua spend a few verses talking talking to the r gadites and the reubenites that lived on that side of the Jordan River that Moses had given permission to and he said Moses gave you permission to live on this side of the Jordan River but when we pass over this Jordan River I want you to leave your wives and your cattle and I want you to go over Jordan River and I want you to fight for your brother and help your brother get Victory you see tonight I'm just going to tell you I hope nobody gets upset with me right now but life could not brother Wimberly life could not be finer for me personally right now I couldn't have it better I I hope I hope I hope that doesn't sound bragado doia I'm just telling you how I feel tonight I'm living the dream I'm living the dream I Pastor one of the prominent churches in the Apostolic Pentecostal movement and that's just I you said well that's a little bragging I call it bragging if you want to it's just one of the most prominent churches in all of Pentecost I am I am the morning brother Larry the morning the morning after I was elected the general superintendent of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ I woke up the next morning and I rolled over and I said to my wife Am I Dreaming or what I've been elected the superintendent of one of the greatest of one of the greatest organizations Oneness organizations in all the world in all the world as a matter of fact to the glory of God the assemblance of the Lord Jesus Christ is larger right now than it's ever been in its entire 70E history and I I give God I give God I give God praise I give God praise I give I give God praise life could not be any better life couldn't be any better to me I mean look look at my wife get stand up right now look at this runway model right here that I got hey family get up on your feet right now look at my family my f go ahead get up on your feet right now my family I I I couldn't I couldn't be living life any better Zach you know my family I can't help I can't I can't help that Tennessee is going to beat Georgia I can't help that I can't I can't mother-in-law stand up tonight stand up tonight got the best mother-in-law any man could ever have loves me more than she Lo he she loves her own daughter I'll go ahead and tell you I'll go ahead and tell you and and I go ahead and tell you Christmas time Christmas time I get a fresh as being her son-in-law I get a fresh sister Callaway a fresh $100 bill for being a son-in-law her daughter Penny gets a fresh $100 bill for being her daughter me I get another $100 bill for being her pastor which I think she knows that her daughter gets it so you know there there they go but my whole point in telling you this tonight is life could not be better for me you say man I I wish it had that way you know what but God has raised these people up and I'm not the only one I'm not the only one tonight I I am not the only one tonight I'm not the only one tonight in this place is there anybody else tonight that just for a moment would like to stand and say brother Carpenter life has been good to me I see you brother or I I see you back there life could come on just just for a moment I I want you to Crow right now I want you to Crow right now life could not be better life could not be better life could not be better oh life could not be better for me but listen to me now but reubenites and gadites you may be seated reubenites and gadites remember I got two more points to make reubenites and the gadites life couldn't be better for you your your cattle are growing you've already got surveyed your land but now here's the beauty of this place brother Seth here's the beauty of this place to those of us that have it together and we may not always have it together what I just described to you may not always be but I'm going to tell you what I got tonight let tomorrow take care of itself but tonight I got it all together and this is what makes the house of God so beautiful that when we gather and we who have it all together is not setting in a section to be admired by those that don't but us that have it all together is coming down and saying let me pray for you right now let me help you let me pray for you right now I know you're going through a trial I know you may not have it all together like I have it all together but God said I got a cross over Jordan and I've got to help you get your Victory and if I can help you get your Victory I can go back and enjoy my victory tonight that's what makes the house of God so important tonight is that those that have it all together can come and say let me help you let me help you get it together let me help you overcome let me help you have victory tonight all the joy of the house of God tonight that's why it's full in this place is because somebody's here that needs somebody to help them out come on brother I'll help fight with you come on brother I'll help fight with you hey hey hey hey hey I'll help fight with you you want to raise up a Hispanic church we'll help fight together we'll help fight together we'll help fight together he had to to receive the Holy Ghost this morning we will fight together come on somebody help me right now we will fight together I'll go back to my land I'll go back to my good house I'll go back to my title but right now on a Sunday night I'm looking for somebody to help you get Victory because we got a fight together let me see if you're listening to me tonight the first voice is the voice of what the first voice is the voice of God the second voice is the voice of the preacher preacher here comes the third voice at 20 minutes after 7 is the voice of the people is the voice of the people I fear that churches have become like theaters where people come and sit in seats and critique the stage but that's not a church the church is where people come and sit in the seats to hear the voice of God tell them how they ought to order their lives and when God begins to tell you how to order your life there needs to be a voice from the people listen to the people in verse number 16 and they answered Joshua saying here's the people and they answered Joshua saying all that thou commandest us we will do and whatsoever you send us we will go go according as we hearkened unto Moses in all things so we will hearken unto thee only the Lord thy God be with thee as he was with Moses now listen to the people listen to the people listen to it real closely pick up on this the people said this is the only voice that we want in our lives and if we find any other voice that's contrary oh Jesus God verse 18 listen to the people whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment and will not hearken to thy words and all that thou commandest him he shall be put to death only be strong where'd you get that at only be strong and of good courage listen to what the people said it wasn't a preacher it wasn't a preacher always nagging people keep those voices out of your life it was the people that got smart and the people begin to say we're going to keep any other voice out of our life don't you come around me if my pastor preaches on Holiness don't you try to Corner me in the parking lot don't you try to Corner me on Facebook don't you try to Corner me and begin to tell me we don't need to be holy I'm going to put you to death I don't want to hear that voice in my life I want to hear the voice of God that comes through the voice of the preacher I want to hear that voice oh God some of you will lose out with God because you are daily giving your ear to a voice that is not a voice that has come from God you are daily the Bible says that lot vexed his righteous Soul the Bible calls lot a righteous man it calls lot a righteous man but he vexed his righteous Soul daily hearing and seeing the UN the wickedness that was in Sodom and Gomorrah can I tell you something it's not okay it's not okay to hear the gospel bashed it's not okay to hear somebody tell you over and over again it doesn't matter how you're baptized tomato tomato it doesn't matter matter what is said it does matter what he said because what was said didn't come from Rome what was said came from God come on folk come on folk you got to put that stuff death in your life I'm let me take you back a few years in Deuteronomy chapter 27 in Deuteronomy chap 27 verse 1 2 and 3 this is going back a few years Joshua is here ready to cross the Jordan River but in Deuteronomy 27 in verse one and Moses with the Elders of Israel commanded the people saying follow this now keep all the Commandments which I command thee command you this day and it shall be on the day when you shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee that thou shalt set up great stones and plaster them with plaster and thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law when thou art passed over that thou mayest go in into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee a lamb that floweth with milk and honey as the Lord God of thy fathers have promised thee thee wherefore it shall be when you be gone over Jordan that you shall set up these Stones which I command you this day in Mount ebol and thou shalt plaster them with plaster now Moses never saw this day but this day was lived out through Joshua but Moses said there's coming a day when you're going to cross over Jordan and when you get over on the other side of Jordan I want you to take a bunch of rocks and I I want you to plaster them and I want you to make many Billboards I want you to make chalkboards out of this plaster and I want you to write on that plaster all the words of the lord I want you to plaster upon this you see tonight the world is trying to get the church to blend in to the world because the church bothers the world as long as we're a city set on a hill we are a witness to their sinful Deeds so the world says blend in stop doing this just accept this but the Church of Jesus Christ has been delivered and we have come across Jordan and we are going to still preach water baptism in Jesus name we're still going to preach Holiness unto the Lord we're going to still preach that our women look like women and our men look like men we're still going to preach that a marriage is a man and a woman wish oh I wish the people would get noisy I wish the people would get noisy I want to tell you Daddy when you're getting noise noisy about this message you got a little boy looking up at you right now and he's saying Daddy's noisy about this mama I want to tell you when you're noisy right now you've got some grandchildren that's seeing their memo noisy come on God won do it all by himself God won't do it all by himself the preacher can't do it all by himself we got to have the voice of the people somebody say amen amen 27th chapter of Deuteronomy Moses is saying it's going to happen you're going over Jordan but look what happens keep your Bible open to Deuteronomy chapter 27 keep your Bible open to Deuteronomy chapter 27 and verse number 14 when you've got it in your Bible say amen and when you see it on the screen say Amen Deuteronomy 27:14 we're going over we're going over some things are going to change I feel the Holy Ghost right now there some things going to change in your life there's some things going to change in your life because you're listening to God you're listening to The Voice the echo of the pastor and God is hearing hear amen God is hearing your worship some things well I feel the Holy Ghost right now some things about to change Hallelujah Moses said you're going over Moses said you're going over then he said this Deuteronomy 274 and the Levites shall speak and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice why why we got to be loud why is it bother you we're loud your ball game's loud your activities you have is loud but oh I guess God gets held to a different standard we don't have a volume setting on our entertainment but we sure have a volume setting on our worship I I want to give you something tonight if you'd have you a good season of prayer before church starts it might blow your mind how better church will be after you're here oh our hearts are deceitfully wicked our hearts are deceitfully wicked the Levites were loud they were loud they were loud that's the truth that's the truth and I'm not a backing down from it either that's right that's the truth you'd have you a good prayer meeting before church and kill a lot of that rotten flesh you got you might feel the presence
