Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Not everyone who says Lord, Lord

  • He continues what was started last week on a relationship with God — the most important relationship we will ever have — and reads the warning: not every one that says Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of the Father.
  • Many will say in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, and in your name cast out devils, and done many wonderful works — and he will profess, I never knew you; depart from me, you who work iniquity. An experience can never take the place of a relationship.
  • The wise man hears these sayings and does them, and his house stands through rain, flood, and wind because it is founded on a rock; the foolish man hears and does not, and great is the fall of his house.
  • His burden is stated plainly: you do not want to be at the white throne judgment; you want to be at the judgment seat of Christ.

Scriptures: Matthew 7:21-27

The great white throne

  • John saw a great white throne: great for its finality, white for holiness and righteousness, a throne for authority and power — and from the face of him who sat on it, earth and heaven fled away and no place was found for them.
  • It is an appointment no one chooses and everyone keeps: people want the pleasure of sin without its consequences, but on that day they have no choice but to come into God's court.
  • The dead, small and great, stood before God; the books were opened, and another book — the book of life — and the dead were judged out of the things written in the books, according to their works; the sea, death, and hell gave up their dead, and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death.
  • Whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire; no one walks there voluntarily. If you are born only once you will die twice; if you are born twice, you may die only once.

Scriptures: Revelation 20:11-15

The grace dispensation: where our strength is

  • The Bible runs in seven dispensations — innocence, conscience, human government, promise, law, grace, and the coming millennial reign — and each ends in judgment: innocence in expulsion, conscience in the flood, human government at Babel, promise in Egyptian bondage.
  • The law did not end when Jesus was born; it ended when he hung on the cross and fulfilled it, saying, it is finished. The grace dispensation began when the day of Pentecost was fully come and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
  • The gospel is his death, burial, and resurrection, fulfilled in the beautiful scripture: then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  • Our strength is in his death: for when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law — but thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ; therefore be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.

Scriptures: Acts 2:1-4; Acts 2:38; Romans 5:6; 1 Corinthians 15:56-58

How much more: the blood of the new testament

  • He says it outright: nothing will ever take the place of good systematic Bible teaching. Christ has become a high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands.
  • Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us; if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer sanctified to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
  • A testament is a will: it is of no strength while the testator lives, and is in force only after his death. The first testament was dedicated with blood — Moses sprinkled the book and all the people, the tabernacle and its vessels — for almost all things are by the law purged with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission.
  • Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; and now once, in the end of the world, he has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Asked where the blood is applied in Acts 2:38, he answers: all over the word — when you believe, at the altar of repentance, in the baptismal pool, and when you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost — and it still cleanses those who walk in the light.

Scriptures: Hebrews 9:11-26

The judgment seat of Christ: the judgment you want

  • Why do you judge your brother, or set him at nought? We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. You will have a full-time job judging yourself; leave other people to God.
  • If our earthly house of this tabernacle is dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens; we groan not to die but to be changed — mortality swallowed up of life.
  • The Holy Ghost is the earnest of the Spirit — God's down payment in us; the only ones going in the rapture are those who have his name and his spirit: his name taken on in baptism, his earnest put within.
  • We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad — and bad there means worthless; knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. We should gauge every action, word, and habit: am I a benefit to the kingdom of God?

Scriptures: Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:1-11

Build with gold, not stubble

  • We are laborers together with God — you are God's husbandry, God's building. According to the grace of God given to him, Paul laid the foundation as a wise master builder, and other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ; every man must take heed how he builds on it.
  • What we build with runs in degrees — gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble — degrees of how we value him; stubble praise costs nothing, but gold praise is given when we are tired and in a dry season and do not understand his ways.
  • Even the parable of the sower runs in degrees: of the seed that bore fruit, some brought forth thirty, some sixty, and some a hundredfold — the hundredfold believer pulls the sixty up, and the sixty the thirty.
  • He closes the Bible lesson praying that the church be rapture-ready: any who have not been baptized in his name, to accept and do his word; any who have not received the Holy Ghost, to hunger for it tonight.

have done many wonderful works then will i profess unto them i never knew you depart from me ye that work iniquity therefore whosoever heareth these sayings are mine and doeth them i will liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon a rock the rain descended the floods came the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell not for it was founded upon a rock everyone that heareth these be with these people in verse number i believe it is 22 of chapter 7 in that day in that day and i want to teach tonight that you don't want to be you do not want to be those of you under the sound of my voice tonight you you do not want to be at the white throne judgment you you don't want to be there we get asked a question often um can someone be saved after the rapture of the church can someone be saved and i always before i give them a yes or a no i like to reason with them now when the rapture of the church happens and satan is allowed to go full throttle on this earth now if you think he's not full he's not full throttle right now he is not working to what he look around he is not working at what he wants to and i i would be of the opinion if he's not working at the level he wants to work because the bible tells us there's something that hinders him from working and that is the church the church his spirit god's body here on this earth is a hindrance to satan he cannot work full throttle because of the church that is here but paul told us that there will come a day when that will be taken out of the way and when that is taken out of the way then satan will be able to go full throttle here and i just reason with people you know if you can't serve god right now what makes you think you would serve god in order to buy a loaf of bread you've got to have a mark you've got to have some kind of mark on you in order to buy bread and in order to do that you have to pledge your allegiance to this and if you can't well jeremiah said it this way he told the people of god this he said if the footmen have wearied you if you have been weary with soldiers marching if that's bothered you what are you going to do when the horses come he said if you've been weary because there's foot soldiers then then what are you going to do when the horsemen much more powerful soldiers come well i just think that reason would tell you if you can't serve god now what makes you think you would serve god then but this is in that day of what jesus is referring to is the great white throne judgment the great white throne judgment now this white throne judgment is found in the 20th chapter of the book of revelation chapter 20 and begin reading at verse number 11 revelation chapter 20 and verse number 11. he said and i saw a great white throne now those three words you know you understand that we can interpret the book of revelation a great part of it because it's in it's in symbolic form there's a lot of symbols there that you you look at and you get the meaning of something number one he said i i saw a great now whatever this is it's great it's great it's it's it's final it's it's it's great white white is a a color that speaks about holiness and righteousness he says i thought i saw a great white throne and throne speaks about authority he speaks about authority and power i saw a great white throne and him that set on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away and there was found no place for them now whatever and we know who it is but the earth does not want to face this day they do not want to be brought in to accountability they want the pleasure of sin without the consequences of sin and so on that day they don't want to be they don't want to come into god's court they don't want they don't want to come in to that court but they have no choice they have absolutely no choice but to come in and i saw a great white throne and him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away and there was found no place for them in other words it's a judgment it's a time it's an appointment that you will keep you do not decide you you you can't decide whether you want to keep it you're going to keep disappointment and i saw verse 12 and i saw the dead small and great stand before god the books were opened and another book was opened which is the book of life and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books plural according to their works and the sea gave up the dead which were in it death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them and they were judged every man according to their works death in hell was cast into the lake of fire this is the second the second death you see there's two deaths there there is to some and i'll simply say it this way if you're only born once you'll die twice but if you're born twice you may only die once if you're born once you will die both a spiritual death or a physical death and you will die a spiritual death but if you're born twice naturally born and then spiritually born again then you may only die once only once and the bible says this is the second death we all want to escape the second death amen verse 15 and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire now notice this no one will voluntarily walk into the lake of fire they will have to be cast into that lake of fire now as i said this is a judgment that you do not i hope that i can can persuade you to let god help you you you do not want to be at the white throne judgment you want to be at the judgment seat of christ which goes before the white throne judgment now let me break it down to you this way in the bible the bible informs us of seven periods of time from genesis 1 to the end of revelation there are seven periods of time we call them in in bible study we call them dispensations is what we call them dispensations the word dispensation comes from the word dispenser okay because it is a dispensation or a dispenser of how god begins to deal and the perimeters and the requirements that god puts on man of these seven dispensations we have innocence conscience human government promise law and the one that we're currently living in right now the grace dispensation the grace dispensation and then after that we have the dispensation that is the 1 000 year millennial reign of jesus christ now each dispensation ends with judgment it ends with judgment now when we think about the word judgment in the bible we think about something that is that is bad and no doubt there are some judgments that are bad but there are some judgments that are good judgments it just depends on which side of the judgment you fall on you see it in the papers someone got a judgment a lawsuit they got a judgment and they were made millionaires and and on and on it would go well when god first dealt with man in the garden of eden the first dispensation was the dispensation of innocence all they had was one law to obey don't eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil this one one law to be obeyed they broke that law adam and eve broke that law and then that dispensation of innocence ended in judgment they were driven from the garden of eden they were driven out and by the sweat of adam's brow he had to earn the bread that he would eat and eve her judgment was and sorrow she would bring forth children and then death came there was that judgment and so innocence ended in in judgment it ended with judgment and then the second dispensation was conscience conscience and you if you spell the word conscience you can break it down and and c-o-n is khan and that means n-word inward inward and then after khan is science conscience science and it's a inward knowledge man had an inward knowledge of god and of course we see where the dispensation of conscience ended the dispensation of conscience ended in a worldwide flood because every man did that which was right in his own eyes if his conscience didn't bother him then he felt it was appropriate it was acceptable and god sent a flood in the human government and i could go on and tell you of all these that will happen but i want to bring you to the grace dispensation because innocence ends with them being expelled conscience ends with the flood human government ends with the dispersion of of the nations or the dispersion when they tried to build the tower of babel and they were dispersed there and then the promise god gave abraham a promise and the promise ended with egyptian bondage and then we have the law and the law ended when jesus christ and this is what a lot of people need to understand the law goes into the new testament now the only reason i say that sister carpenter is because so many people believe that the law ended when jesus was born the law didn't end in matthew 1 1. the law did not end in matthew 1 1. the law didn't end the law did not the law didn't end until he hung on a cross and fulfilled the law and said the words it is finished all right it is finished and the grace dispensation you know where it started acts chapter 2 and verse number 1 when the day of pentecost was fully come they were in one place one mind one accord suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind filled all the house where they were sitting there appeared in them clothing tongues like as a fire and it set up on each of them and they were all filled with the holy ghost and began to speak with tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance and now today we have the grace dispensation the strength of god how do you do what you do by the strength of god what is the grace of god the grace of god is the gospel of god what is the gospel of god the gospel of god is his death his burial and his resurrection and then being fulfilled in the beautiful scripture then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost you know where my strength is my strength is in my new mirror oh hallelujah but this dispensation of grace is going to end the dispensation of grace is going to end it's going to end with what we know as the rapture of the church the rapture you do not want to be at the white throne judgment you want to be at the judgment seat of christ you want to be at the judgment seat of christ i tell you give me romans chapter 5 and verse number 6 because this dispensation that we're living in right now is strength it's the greatest strength that man has ever known since the fall romans chapter 5 and verse number 6 for when we were yet without what would somebody say that what were we what were we without we didn't have what when we were without strength in due time christ died for the ungodly where do we get our strength from his death we get our strength from his death now turn with me to first corinthians chapter 15 and we'll possibly come back to this verse maybe a little later in the bible lesson tonight but in first corinthians chapter number 15 and verse number 56 first corinthians 15 verse number 56 the sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is what the law where does sin have its strength in the law and that's where the law always defeated us because paul even said it when i would want to do good evil was present things i didn't want to do that i did and he he's talking about the the strength of the law the strength of sin is the law but look at verse 57 but thanks be to god but thanks be to god the law i could never read something and obey it i could never read the commandment because my flesh was weak but thanks be to god which giveth us the victory through our lord jesus christ therefore my beloved brethren be you steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the lord for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the lord so it gave us our our victory it gave us our victory hebrews chapter number nine hebrews chapter number nine and and um please understand something tonight um i love inspirational preaching i love having to stop and and and let you clap and rejoice but can i tell you there's nothing that will ever take the place of good systematic bible teaching to get something up here to get something up here hebrews chapter 9 and verse number 11 but christ become a high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands that is to say not of this building i want to stop there and tell you what paul's battling with with when he writes the book of hebrews is that there were those that were being born again of the water in the spirit acts 2 38 and they were reverting back to the old testament works of the law the old testament tabernacle the altar the labor the candlesticks the incense the offering of lambs the sheep and all of this they were reverting back to that and paul is writing to them and he says but christ has come a high priest of good things to come by what by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands that is to say not of this building look at verse 12 neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood he entered into in he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us for if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctify to the purifying of the flesh now stop there here's what he's saying god had a system and god is god and if god wants to push people's sins up if god wants to push people's sins up by the blood of a bull or the blood of a goat if god wants to have a system down where you can take the ashes of a heifer and you can sprinkle them on unclean and they're cleansed if god has that god is god now having having said that let me read that verse 12 again neither by the blood of goats and of calves but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us for if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctify it to the purifying of the flesh in other words he said if that worked for them back then how much more look at verse 14 how much more i wish we'd all say that right now how much more see that's why we're living in the greatest dispensation how much more he said if god had a system where the blood of bulls and goats and ashes sprinkling people could cleanse them how much more shall the blood of christ who through the eternal spirit offer himself without spot to god purge your conscience from from diff purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living god in other words he says look at this people if god would let the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a hepper cleanse the unclaimed how much more shall the blood of jesus christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to god purge icon why are we dabbling in the old testament law anymore why are we dabbling in this when we have the wonderful blood of jesus christ oh thank you jesus well let me read on and for this cause he jesus is the mediator of the new testament that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first coven first testament they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance for for where a testament is now now i want you to understand what a testament is a testament is a will it is a will you matter of fact you you'll hear uh it said that this is their last will and testament while they were living they had a will while they were living they sat down and wrote a testament out a wheel out for where a testament is there must also of necessity be the death of the testator in other words they sit down and write a will a testament but in order for that will to be effective it requires the death of the testator in other words the will can be written and it not affect any you can be in someone's will tonight and it not affect you in any way why because there's not the death of the testator it can be there your name can be there what you're going to get is going to be there and all that but as long as the testator is alive it doesn't do anything for you for where a testament is there must also of necessity be the death of a testator for a testament is a force after men are dead otherwise it is of no strength all the while the testator liveth whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated he talked about the old testament the old testament the old will of god was dedicated without blood where neither the first testament was dedicated without blood for when moses had spoken this is the first testament for when moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law he took the blood of calves and of goats with water and scarlet wool and hyssop and sprinkle both the book and all the people now watch this the first testament in the old testament even when god gave his will moses steps out with blood he sprinkles the commandments and he also begins to sprinkle the people with blood this testament is a force this testament is of force through the blood verse 20 saying this is the blood of the testament which god hath enjoined you too you you unto you enjoined unto you now now that old testament blood joined them to the one the testator that old testament blood enjoined them it brought them together the the testator saying verse 20 again this is the blood of the testament which god hath enjoined unto you moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry and almost all things are by the law purged with blood and without the shedding of blood there is no remission it was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these but the heavenly things themselves which with with better sacrifices than these i love this for christ is not entered into the holy place made with hands which are the figures of the truth but into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of god for us he now is in the presence of god for us nor yet that he should offer himself often as the high priest entered into the holy place every year with the blood of others for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world but now once in the end of the world hath he put away hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself i love that part that said he did all of that to appear into heaven for us he is our mediator i thank god for my spirit baptism i thank god for my water baptism but can i tell you everything about the tabernacle was sprinkled with blood everything about it someone asked where is the blood applied in acts 2 38 the blood is applied all over the word it is applied when you believe upon the lord jesus christ it is applied at the altar of repentance it is applied in the baptismal pool it is applied when you receive the gift of the holy ghost but it doesn't stop there for the bible says if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and the blood of his dear son cleanses us from all and i'm glad i'm still walking in the blood tonight i'm still walking in that wonderful blood this evening i'm still walking i'm still walking in that blood but the next thing to happen the judgment that you must prepare yourself for is called the judgment seat of christ that's where you want to go i want to go to the judgment seat of christ why because if i make it to the judgment seat i have made it to the rapture you have got to keep thinking about the rapture because it's not if the rapture happens it's when the rapture happens brothers and sisters tonight the rapture is going to happen the question is will we be ready for it will we be ready for the rapture will we be ready and the only way you can be ready for the rapture is to be in a relationship with the one that will rapture you you've got to be in that that relationship with him because he is no respecter of persons he is very he is very just he is very just in his judgment he is righteous the bible talks about him being righteous in judgment and judgment he's righteous now if at the white throne judgment he says to people who cast out devils who did many marvelous works if he says to those people depart from me i never knew you then he would be absolutely just in not taking us with him at the rapture if he said the same thing about us i don't know you i don't have a relationship with you in church tonight an experience can never take the place of a relationship an experience can never take the place our experience ought to lead us to a relationship but it can never take the place of a relationship well i don't feel the same way that i oh brother kevin i just don't feel the same way i felt the first time i heard you preach the first time i came to church the first time i went to the altar absolutely that's normal with all of us but now we've entered into something greater than an experience and that is a relationship and with a relationship with god we learn to trust god we learn to depend upon god we learn to see that all things do work together for good to them to them who are the called turn with me in your bibles to romans chapter 14 this is the judgment you want to go to and this even in the setting that it is in even in the setting that this romans 14 and verse number 10 is in is an interesting thing because what they're battling here what they're battling here is people that were weak in their faith they were weak in in faith they were still going back they were still believing that there were only certain days of the week they should observe and sabbath days and new moons and and and they wouldn't eat certain things and and all of this and there were those that had been born again and they had very strong faith and they understood that the sabbath was a day of rest spiritual rest and a lot of folks get hung up on when's the sabbath day and saturday or so and i just simply say this in other in in order to know in order to know when the seventh day is you need to know when the first day is all right and and so you don't want to get hung up on days because the sabbath is a day of rest and since jesus fulfilled the law all days are a day of rest and you don't get hung up that he just meets us on saturday or he just meets us on sunday all days have been fulfilled as a day of rest so now what was happening there was there was some judging going on in the church they were judging one another and in verse 10 of chapter 14 paul simply said this but why dost thou judge thy brother or why dost thou set at not thy brother for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of christ now this will help us tonight this should really help us tonight you will have a full-time job judging yourself don't try to judge anybody else i'm going to say that again you will have a full-time job judging yourself don't ju don't try to judge other people will you brother you don't know what they're doing let god do it leave it alone you're not the judge leave them alone and he says this he says just stop judging one way to get off track one way to get off track is start judging one another in the church well they're supposed to do this well they're supposed to be this and they're supposed to be that best thing to do just always keep your own heart right with god judge judge your own heart and then he gives he gives a little phrase for we must all stand before the judgment seat of christ there it is the judgment seat of christ not the white throne judgment you don't want to go there have i told you that enough tonight you don't want to go there but you do want to go to the judgment seat of christ turn with me now to second corinthians chapter five second corinthians chapter number five someone say praise the lord second corinthians chapter number five verse number one for we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved speaking of your body of your body right now for we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved we have a building of god a house not made with hands eternal in the heavens in other words i have a spiritual body waiting on me i have a spiritual body made without hands eternal in the heavens for in this we groan earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked for we that are in this tabernacle this body do groan being burdened not for that we would be unclothed but clothed upon that mortality might be swallowed up of life you see to the child of god as our bodies begin to age and weariness can set in and we groan we as christians don't groan to die we've grown to be changed there's a big difference a lot of folks are wanting to die the child of god mother thorpe is groaning to be changed because we know that if this house be dissolved we have a body eternal in the heavens verse 4 for we that are in this tabernacle do groan being burdened not for that we would be unclothed the clothe upon that mortality might be swallowed up of life now he that wrought us for the selfsame thing is god who hath also who also have given unto us the earnest of the spirit earnest of the spirit guess what we got when we got the holy ghost sister sudden we got the down payment we just got a little down payment you know we go to buy something and we'll put some money down on it and isn't it amazing what we call that money we call that money earnest money we call it earnest money we go to buy something we said let me let me write you a check here this is telling you how serious i am i'm going to come back with the finance and i'm going to buy i'm going to buy the whole thing but let me give you a little earnest money to hold it you know that when he gave us the holy ghost he put a little earnest money inside of us he put a little down payment inside of us he he did something on the inside of us he put a little earnest it says it says he has also given unto us the earnest of the spirit therefore verse 6 therefore what's boy this is deep bible college stuff here therefore what's the therefore therefore he's given us earnest because he put his spirit inside of us therefore we are always confident knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the lord for we walk by faith and not by sight we are confident i say and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the lord wherefore we labor we're working that whether present or absent we may be accepted of him for we must all appear before he are y'all seeing this for we must all appear before the judgment seat of christ now i want to be ready for the rapture now let me tell you tonight the only ones going in the rapture is the bride the only ones going in the rapture is those that have his name and those that have his spirit it's the only ones going in the rapture if you don't have his name you need to get his name tonight if you well how do i get his name you're baptized by his name into his name and with his name it's more than just a little uh just y'all said a little bit different no we put a name on that baptism because that's how we take on his name he's in a watery grave for the remission of our sins and when we are baptized in the name of jesus christ we take on his name why because we're the bride and the bride always takes on the name of the groom we take on his name oh hallelujah to god i'm about to go from a bible lesson to a camp meeting message right now we take on it what you're thankful you took on his name i'm going to tell you something else it's going to take more than his name it's got to have his spirit he had to put his earnest inside of you that's why it's a promise to you that's why he wants you to have it that's why he'll give it to you if you're hungry for it you will ten people out of ten get the holy ghost that are hungry for the holy ghost you will get the holy ghost because the only people going in the rapture is those that have his name and those that have his spirit now i got his name and i got a spirit but i am working right now on this wednesday night to be acceptable unto him i am working right now on a wednesday night to be acceptable unto him why verse 10 for we must all appear before the judgment seat of christ that everyone may receive the things done in his body according to that he hath done whether it be good or what's that other word do you know that in reference to serving god as far as the new testament church is concerned this is the only place good or bad is mentioned most of the time it is good or evil matter of fact what was the tree the tree was the knowledge of good and evil you'll find a lot of references in the bible to good or evil but when it comes to the judgment seat of christ you do not find good or evil because if you're evil you're not going to make it you've got another judgment waiting on you and that's the white throne judgment but it does say to receive to receive verse 10 according to that he hath done in his body may receive the things done in his body according to that he had done whether it be good or bad now i looked up that greek word bad and it just simply means worthless worthless i looked up the word in the greek good it means to be a benefit all right so as we go through this life we have to have a value system about our actions about our words about our habits about our values and we have to begin to ask ourselves is the way i'm living and we can't get wrapped up in ourselves that that life is all about us for god bless us for and no more or god just helped me out god it's what life's all about me come on be my life coach brother i'm not going to be your life coach i'm going to be your rapture ready coach because i can get you hyped up on good sermons and tell you your destiny's waiting and you've got dreams that need to be fulfilled but you need to gauge your life am i a benefit for the kingdom of god am i helping someone turn toward jesus christ am i helping someone live for god was that conversation that i had about that individual will it help them be lifted up will it help them serve god or am i all wrapped up in myself till one day when i stand before god he would just say oh i made it in the rapture i made it in rapture but when i stand there before him and i'm at the judgment seat of christ and he is giving rewards out he is giving rewards out to those that have lived their life they've lived their lives to say i want to be a benefit i want to be a benefit to others i don't want my life i don't i don't want to take any bad with me to the judgment seat of christ and it just goes down and let me let me finish this out tonight it goes down and says according to that which yet done whether it be good or bad knowing therefore the terror of the lord and that word terror there don't don't it's it's not like it's it's it's ugly it's just knowing the awesomeness of the lord we persuade men but we are made manifest unto god and i trust also are manifest in your consciences so this judgment seat this judgment seat of christ i'm going to close with going to first corinthians chapter 3 first corinthians chapter 3 because it spells it out so beautifully here first corinthians chapter 3 verse number 9 for we are laborers together with god we are working together with god that's what we're doing tonight for we are laborers together with god that's why we're here tonight the musicians played they're working with god brother andrew hannah and the praise team tonight that did an excellent job they're just working with god for the andy on the sound the men and women upstairs and there with all the different translations and all the things they're doing they're just working with god your pastor here tonight that's got the word out you know what i'm doing i'm just i'm just working with god for we are laborers together with god ye are god's husbandry ye are god's building according to the grace of god which is given unto me listen to paul talk according to the grace strength of god which is given unto me as a wise master builder i have laid the foundation and another built it thereon but let every man take heed how he build it thereon for other foundation can no man lay than that which then that is laid which is jesus christ there's only one foundation what a glorious gospel we have what a wonderful savior we serve tonight what a wonderful savior what a wonderful savior we serve tonight his name is jesus he loves us he created us he redeemed us he loves you tonight what a wonderful savior what a wonderful savior that we have here's the foundation for other foundation can no man lay then that is laid which is jesus christ now if any man build upon this foundation gold silver precious stones wood hay stubble you know we're just talking about your response to the foundation how you responded to the grace of god it goes from gold something of high value to stubble something of little value oh i don't want to build on this foundation with stubble i don't i don't want to live for god always looking to give god something that didn't cost me anything i want a place of high value our life depends upon this i high value upon serving god i don't want to give him stubble praise i want to give him gold praise i don't care if my back is hurting because i've worked all day long i don't care if i'm physically tired i don't want to give him some kind of stubble praise because anybody can praise him when they feel good anybody can praise them when they've got some unexpected blessings coming their way anybody can reach down in their pocket and give him some stubble praise but it takes a real man and woman that can come here tonight and give him some gold praise i god i just praise you i i don't understand all the ways god but i just give you praise i give you honor come on can we give him some gold praise right now oh can we give him some gold praise right now some gold come on give me some gold praise if you're not standing will you stand with me right now can we give him some gold praise right now oh i'm a little tired just let me sit here let me just stand up and give him some gold praise right now i give you gold praise tonight god i give you gold praise i love you jesus i worship you god i magnify you lord i thank you god for all that you've done all that you've been in my love i thank you god i may be in a dry season right now but i praise you god oh hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah i give him some gold praise you remain standing with me tonight look at the look at the level gold silver precious stones wood hay stubble no doubt tonight no doubt tonight we all even in this room and this is bible doctrine but even in the room with people ready for the rapture there are degrees in how we value him there are degrees they're just simply degrees you see even in the bible even the bible there were some that just said when i get ready to build on this foundation where would i have been without the lord where would i be without him he gets gold precious stones then there can be those that allow the world and allow other things to come in because at the judgment seat of christ there are going to be those there that take things there that are bad worthless they're bad just just worthless jesus talked to sower went out to sow the word 75 percent and and sometimes when i'm speaking to ministers i i speak this as a word of encouragement but when jesus spoke of the parable of the sower and the seed which is the sower is the preacher the seed is the word 75 of the seed sown did not bring forth any fruit 75 75 never brought forth anything of the 25 that did bring forth there's even variations you can read it there's variations the bible says on the good ground was it 25 some brought forth 30 some 60 and some 100 fold there was even variations of that but see don't run somebody off from this church that's that's producing 30. well you just don't know i'm doing twice as much i'm a 60. that's right and if you'll just stay right there the man that's doing the 100 can help pull you up and you that's doing the 60 can help pull the 30 up right you got good i want to respond right to god god if i'm 30 tonight i thank you from a 30. but lord i want to make 60. right i want i want to i want to be able to i want to be able to look back on my life and say i'm doing more now than i was a year ago i don't want to look back on my life and say i'm doing less now than i was doing five years because that meant you went from 100 to 60 to 30. i want to do all thank you tonight i know it's been a bible lesson tonight but we need to know bible doctrine we really need to know bible doctrine i love y'all father i just pray tonight that you would continue to bless this church congregation lord i just i just pray tonight god that you would let this bible lesson god just get in our hearts that we would we would know that we're ready for the rapture god if there's any under under the sound of my voice tonight they have not been baptized in your name lord i pray that you will deal with them god that they will accept your word and they will do your word and they will be baptized in your name if there's any here that's not received the holy ghost evidence by speaking in a heavenly language god that would get hungry for it tonight lord i pray that your hand be upon us bring us back lord sunday morning ready to give praise and honor to your great name in jesus name i do pray let's end by giving him a great hand clap offering tonight god bless you
