glory to God and everybody said praise the Lord praise the Lord isn't God good man I've got I've got sophisticated I used to say ain't God good and somebody said that that ain't good grammar isn't God good well it's not good grammar but it's good Doctrine that's right isn't God good tonight isn't he wonderful tonight we find no fault in him Jesus Is Everything Jesus is everything he's a good God Jesus Is God manifested In the Flesh God is love Jesus is the manifestation of Love Tonight he's everything we need you don't need anything outside of Jesus he's our all and all and you know what the best part is Yet to Come the best part is yet to come he's My Savior My Healer my deliverer but the best part is Yet to Come what is that he is my sooncoming king he is my sooncoming king soon and very soon soon and very soon we are going to see the king soon and very soon we're going to see the king our nation seems like it's about to implode things are falling apart around the world but I'm glad to be in something that the Gates of Hell cannot shake I'm glad to be in the church Liv of the Living God that's are you glad tonight to be in the Church of the Living God glad to be in the Church of the Living God well if you have your Bibles you would join me tonight in the Book of Revelation chapter number 17 and we're going to begin reading at verse number one Revelation 17 and we going to read verse 1 through 7 tonight at the end of my message you will be given an opportunity to come and have an interaction with the Lord you'll have an invitation to come and interact with the Lord do you know that the Lord has never and will never turned a worshipper away right he'll never turn a worshipper away I'm going to give you an opportunity at the end of the sermon tonight say I met a wonderful young lady this evening coming in a neighbor of sister Haner and U when I begin to talk to her I could tell automatically that by her accient she wasn't from here and I couldn't pick her up she was from up North uh out in California out in Cali or whatever and she's from Russia and uh Liv Liv in green back now she waving her arms back there the Russian people are a beautiful people and we are glad to have you tonight we are glad to have you at First Apostolic church amen we are glad I've been to her country several times and been honored to preach there and um it's a beautiful place and Beautiful People to interact with Revelation 17 And1 and there came one of the seven seven angels which had the SE had seven vials and talked with me saying unto me come hither and I will show unto thee the Judgment of the great that sth upon many Waters with whom the kings of the Earth have committed fornication and the inhabitants of the Earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication so he carried me away now listen to John listen to John talk so he carried me away in the spirit Into the Wilderness and I saw a woman sit upon a Scarlet colored Beast full of names of blaspheming having seven heads and seven horns and the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color and decked with gold and precious stones and Pearls having a golden cup in her handful of Abominations and filthiness of her fornication and upon her head was a name written mystery mystery Babylon the great the mother of harlots and Abominations of the earth a and I saw now listen to John again and I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the Saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus Christ and when I saw her would you repeat that with me again and I saw oh come on everybody tonight and I saw her I wondered with great admiration I wondered with great admiration and the angel angel said unto me wherefore did thou Marvel or why did you Marvel at this woman I will tell thee The Mystery of the woman and of the Beast that carth her which has seven heads and 10 horns tonight I want to minister the thought that God laid upon my heart the final Temptation the final the final Temptation father I love you tonight I thank you for the privilege and the opportunity to be called to be a preacher I thank you God for the power that's in your preached word I thank you God that there's not a bondage there's not a situation tonight that if the individual will begin to worship you and begin to call out upon your name that you will not flood their soul with delivering power power and salvation power Lord we know that you're coming soon to take us from this world we know God that we are the apple of your eye we are the bride of Christ and Lord tonight I ask you to anoint me and let me feed your people in Jesus name I do pray amen and amen you may be seated tonight thank you for standing in honor of the reading of God's word the final Temptation Of course tonight we know the symbolic of the chapter the chapter is describing a religious system the woman is symbolic that there is a world religion a world religious system that has gain so much popularity and so much prominence that this world religion has infiltrated governments and kings and the powerful rulers of our world we understand that this false religion is depicted by a woman who is a harlot and she is riding a beast and she has a cup in her hand she is AR raided in beautiful purple and Scarlet she's decked with all kinds of gold and pre precious stones and Pearls from her cup that she has in her hand is a wine that is filled with the false doctrines the false teachings the misleadingsilhouette she was drunk with the blood of the Saints and she was drunk with the martyrs of Jesus Christ and here's where verse six gets a little fuzzy John the Revelator John the man that could stand to be boiled in oil as tradition says John was boiled in a condr of condr of oil and didn't die and so they exiled John to the aisle called patmas and there John could get in the spirit on the Lord's day and there John be to write the revelations that God was giving him about the end of time but here in chapter 17 we come to verse number six and it gets real fuzzy here because John says and when I saw her when I looked at her when I looked at her pearls and precious stones and gold and costly array when I looked at her I wondered I wonder now if it would stop there we could explain this John is trying to figure out who this is but then the next three words says I wondered with great admiration I had great admiration for a split second I was mesmerized for a split second I was caught off guard for a split second I was being attracted to this woman on this Beast to for a few moments I looked at her with great admiration as I considered myself being boiled in oil as I considered all of the things that we were going through I seem to have caught myself looking at this woman looking at something that was false looking at something that was not real I caught myself looking with great admiration the only thing that stopped John is Chap is verse 7 where John says the in the the angel interrupted me as I was fixated on this woman the angel so to speak broke broke the stare that I had fixation upon this woman it was the Angel's voice that ask a piercing question to me wherefore did did you Marvel why were you looking at this false system with great admiration why for a moment did you get your eyes off of him who was and is and is to come why did you get your eyes off of the alpha the Omega the beginning and the ending how did you get your eyes off of him that liveth and was dead and be behold is alive forever more how is it that you got your eyes off of what was reality Victory and you got fixated on something that wasn't even real something that that was false how is it that you marveled and the angel said I will show you the mystery of the woman and not only did the angel show John The Mystery of the woman but the angel also showed John the destruction of the woman in other words John what you are marveling at what you have in great admiration here what you have been for a moment taken off guard by something that is false I've got to show you the end of this religious system I've got to show you the the destruction of this religious system thus I have entitled the night's message the final Temptation because Satan Church and I want you to be ready to meet him when he comes as a matter of fact the job of a Ministry is to make sure the bride is ready to meet him when he comes we have the obligation of evangelism we have the obligation of discipleship we have the obligation of pastoring pastoring part of that job part of that Ministry is to make sure that you're ready when he comes and to make sure that you make it and so I want to preach tonight on the final Temptation Church Satan is a master of disguises you must understand that Satan is a Master of Disguise Satan is able to wrap up death he wraps up death because that's all he has to offer us tonight all he has to offer you is death all Satan has to offer you is Misery all Satan has to offer you is heartache boy I hope I I I I hope you know somebody said y' y ought not poke the bear I may not poke a Sleeping Bear but I sure will poke a devil and I know this may not go across and I've really put it through my mind a couple times where whether I ought to say it or not but I got news for you I'd like to tell you tonight I believe the devil's an idiot I can't help it I got mamas holding their kids ears right now oh we don't want him to hear that well I'm telling you the devil I just want you to know tonight he's an idiot I just want him to go down publicly with say you might stir him up bring it on because greater is he that is within us than he that is in the world the last thing you ought to be is afraid of the devil I got news for you he's afraid of you tonight that's why he's always on you he's afraid that you're going to keep on come on praise him right now with me Jesus is wonderful and the devil is an idiot you hear me tonight Jesus is wonderful and the devil's an idiot if he thinks I'm going to give up now he's got another thing coming I'm not ready to slow down I'm ready to speed up I'm not ready to calm down I'm ready to get a little bit more noisy I'm not I'm not getting ready to dumb message down I'm getting ready to be radical about the message oh yes the more he wants to mess around with us the more we ought to praise him if you know it's the devil messing at your house you ought to be on your feet right now and you ought to let the devil know the more you mess with me the more I'm going to praise God that's what I'm talking about tonight that's what I'm talking about tonight sleep in and sleep in and try to take my sleep from me I'll get up and have a prayer meeting I'll begin to call upon on the Lord my God now I want you for a moment I want you for a moment to give God praise like you're going to make it come on hey I'm not only doing this to God I'm doing this to the devil tonight do you hear us come on up here sister gner July the 20th my bride of 40 years my bride of 40 years it's coming July the 40th 20th may be seated my bride of 40 years she been a good bride she's met all of my expectations she is a better I was going to say a better woman than I am but I'm not woke she's far met my expectations Jesus been a faithful wife been a good wife tended to me when I was sick I remember one time Glenna you remember when we poured that footer down at the church me and you and brother Lee and and I fell down in the ditch and I didn't have any concrete boots on and concrete got up about halfway up my leg I took the I took the sprayer and sprayed it off but I got what was called concrete poison and my ankles swoll up and big old red bumps came out out they said you got concrete poison said the only true for this is have your wife all your feet down every night and rub them real good boy she did even after the red bumps were gone and the swelling was done I'd say I feel like at concrete Poison's coming on again when we first got married you remember this when we first got married now she's long been graduated from this i' I'd say you you don't love me I don't think anybody loves me and she would just well I'm going to tell you something they can't jump that high now God help them Lord and we come through here and we we see whether it's at a restaurant or whatever as a matter of fact if it's at a restaurant one of these restaurants when they don't dress decent when they come to get the tip see they think it they'll be good to the men the men going to give them a tip they got nothing coming to me cuz I purposely when they hand me the receipt hand it over to my wife yes you do you won't look at them you give them you give them you give them the tip you see when they come by and oh boy y'all are quiet tonight this is a Kodak moment right now when they keep coming by and trying to Allure and stepping by and turning around and all that you know what I start doing yeah you I start doing this right here I start he's so bad went down in went down in Disney the other day somebody kept spinning around coming right where I trying to sit spinning around and all that here she come I got her just like this right here I'm going to tell you something friend we were in a city one time and the gay community where there having a convention Jesus they were there and they were walking hand in hand man and woman and if this offends you tonight you're just offended because we're in a church that believes the Bible yes Jesus now we love him but we don't condone it that's right and they was all walking hand in hand man and man and woman to woman and I caught myself walking about about two steps in front of her and I said hold on Penny get back here and I put my arm around her just like this right here and I might have done a little bit of this right here too I don't I I I don't know yes now as long as we were walking separate the community was smiling at us and nodding at us but just as soon as I put my arm around her and and just as soon as I they begin to give me dirty looks can I tell you can I tell you something tonight I want to love on Jesus when the Devil comes around with all of its fashion and its Pride I want to love on Jesus Satan you are an idiot if you believe I'm going to leave my Jesus my Jesus has done me nothing but good he's been my savior he's been my healer he's been my way maker he's been my problem solver he's been everything to me he's been everything you ought to praise him like that tonight Satan is the Master of Disguise he wraps up death he wraps up death in wrapping that appeals to the eye but to the child of God tonight we listen to the old Apostle John 1 John 2:15 love not the world the things that are in the world if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him for all that is in the world the lust of the flesh the lust of the eye the pride of life is not of the father but of the world nothing wrong with sports but you better not love it that's right you better not love it you better know the names of the 12 apostles more than the starting five you better know the stats in your Bible more than the stats on March Madness nothing wrong with sports ain't gonna preach against it but if you love it I'm after you tonight I'm after you tonight if you got more emotions over a game if you got more emotions over some basketball or football or golf if you've got emotions over that but you can't get excited to Jesus I I got to tell you tonight Sports that's nothing wrong with sports but you better not love it nothing wrong with fashion but you better not love it nothing wrong with a good-look suit but you better never come in here with a good-look suit and you can't worship God nothing wrong with a good-look dress but you better not get a good-look dress and come in here and not be able to worship God nothing wrong with a good-looking hairo on you Lady but you better not have a hair do that that God wanted to jerk you a little bit and move on you a little bit come on now come on John what do you have your eyes on John what in the world do you have your eyes on John nothing wrong nothing wrong with sports nothing wrong with sports but if you spend more time in the lobby talking about who won and who was in your bracket and your bracket's broke and all that than you did in the prayer room tonight I got an issue with you that's right nothing wrong with fashion but if you can't bend down to the altar because you'll put some creases in your pants I'm sorry nothing wrong with sports and nothing wrong with fashion and there's nothing wrong with God non God related Hobbies but you better watch them because they'll soon separate you from your love of God that's right you better have some comparables you better be able to say God I love you more than this and for God to say oh you love me more than that when's the last time you got up day break and talk to me do what God well I know you got up at day break to go crappie fishing God I love you more than anything you do when's the last time you spent more than two hours in the house of God without complaining what do you mean God would you set six hours in a deer stand as a matter of fact you you've got your deer stand all comforted you got an air conditioner you got a sinks and all that and that's good but I'm going to tell you something when we spend more time on nonrelated spiritual matters than we do God folks if you miss the Rapture you've missed everything what are you looking at John what are you looking at you'll soon be drawn away it'll soon slowly surely draw you away 1 Corinthians 7:31 simply says Paul was and I'm kind of taking this verse just this one verse he's in a h he's in a whole topic about having God as your main thing in your life and he says in verse 31 and they that use this world as not abusing it for the fashion of this world world passeth away another translation puts it like this we are to live as those who live in the world system but are not absorbed by it for the world as we know it is quickly passing away I want you to know tonight I want you to know tonight I don't like worldly singing on I want you to know tonight I want you to know tonight that my gauge on any singer or any preacher is do they preach truth oh you ought to hear this one saying listen all I'm interested in do they know truth all I'm in oh you ought to hear this guy preach the first thing I'm asking you does he or she preach truth because it's going to be truth that sets you free Jesus said Jesus said it this way you shall know a good sermon you shall know a good message and a good message shall set you free that's not what he said he said You shall know somebody say it with me you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free it is it is the truth it is the truth I'm out of step with the world I'm out of step with the things of the world I'm out of step with what makes them laugh I'm out of step with what entertains them we should be out of step with the world James 4 and4 ye adulterers and adulteresses know you not that the Friendship of the world is enmity with God whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God can I tell you the only way the world will ever accept us is that we join them that there is no absolutes that's the only way the world will accept us we have to get up here we will be a Target we have to get up here and say there is no absolutes a woman gets pregnant we say what are you having and to be acceptable with the world we would have to stand there as she says I don't know I'm going to let it decide it's the only way the only way the world will ever accept us is we have to drop our absolutes we have to drop our absolutes the only way the world will ever accept us is for us to say well we believe in one God but you know if you want to believe in two that's okay the only way the world will ever accept us is say we baptize in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins but if you want to do it another away that's okay the only way the world will ever accept us is for us to say oh we believe that the initial sign that the Holy Ghost has filled you as you'll speak in other tongues but if you get it another way that's okay the only way the world will ever accept us because the world is called adulterers and adulteresses and what an adulter is is someone who mixes with something he shouldn't or she shouldn't be mixing with that's what an adulterer or adulterous is you have mixed is something you have no right to be mixed with and church we are the Bride of Jesus Christ righteous holy and we are not to mix and mingle with the world as a matter of fact I'm telling you tonight that right in this very house there are Idols inside the house of God right here in this very house I could Point them out to you tonight they on cell phones there's music on cell phones tonight that should not be in the house of God and they should not be on your cell phone there's Entertainment Tonight thank you y'all may be seated tonight there's Entertainment Tonight that's on your cell phones that's an idol you know how you know an idol you give it your time you give it your emotion and you got to have it but church is give or take I can go or I cannot go but that cell phone don't you take this cell phone away from me I'll go absolutely ballistic if you take this away from me come on Church we've got to be ready what are you looking look at come on get that off your cell phone get that stuff off your cell phone get the music off your cell phone it's not going to hurt me it's not going to hurt me oh it's not Proverbs 23 and verse 31 Proverbs 23 and verse 31 but wise man said look thou not upon the wine when it is red when it giveth his color in the cup when it moveth itself a right he said don't be deceived by wine he's not just talking about wine he's talking about Temptation you better really examine what you're looking at when it moves just right in the cup and the color is just right to you and the the wrappings is just right to you and and and and and and and and and and things are you're you're trying to justify how could this be wrong how could this be wrong the wise men said you better watch that cup of sin you better watch how it moves just right he says in verse 32 at the last it biteth like a serpent and stingeth like an Adder that's the way sin does sin will invite you in and When sin invites you in sin will bind you up and when sin has bound you up sin will destroy you and move on to something else but you have tonight get your Eyes Off Of The Last Temptation is to look at the things that you shouldn't be looking at you see when you look you need to study the consequences see that's a problem with too many people they get fixated but not on the consequences they get fixated what person who took their first smoke of a marijuana cigarette that's what you call it I don't know blunt or Blount or whatever whatever you call it I don't know what you call it I don't know and you ain't going to help me okay okay I don't I don't know what's called what if you told that young 14-y old girl when somebody handed her one what if you said wait a minute honey can I talk to you about the consequences cuz you're going to go from smoking this to popping pills and after you go to popping pills you're going to go to shooting things in your veins and you're going to get so hooked you're going to take this first smoke of this marijuana and it's not going to be something you have to have you you you're just going to get started but sooner or later you're going to get the shakes if you don't get something in your arm and it won't be long I know you never believe this but it won't be long you'll go down on a street corner and you will sell your body to Absolute strangers so that you can buy you a fix to go in your arm you see if we could get a hold of people and tell them if we could get a hold of people and tell them when you're looking at what you shouldn't look at please consider the consequences what about men and women good men and women that come to this church that come to be free class boy they could be my biggest testifiers tonight the men and women good men and women good men and women that are coming to be free class and they're addicted to things in their life and they want to get rid of it whether it's drugs or alcohol I'm going to tell you if they could go back tonight when that first can of beer got offered to them they would throw it back in their face and say nothing doing but we have too many people looking and not considering the consequences Satan wants to do it quick fast and hard so that you don't have time to think about it I have never bought a car I have never signed one contract that somebody put me under pressure you got to do it right now if it's a good deal today bub it's a good deal tomorrow but the devil has to get you to sign it quick smoke it quick drink it quick get in the bed quick give your virginity away quick you got to think about the consequences what are you look at at single people hear me tonight young people hear me tonight when you're dating stay in a crowd when you're dating stay in a crowd when you're dating when you're dating you need to remember the standard standards of this church and that is handholding and brief kisses and when you kiss you keep your tongue in your mouth Oh I thought I let me tell you something if the devil thinks he's going to shut me up he's an idiot I got to get a people ready for the Lord I ain't got time to be intimidated by the devil we're not a cult we're a church man I my my hips bother me tonight I wish it'd be a young preaching out of town one of the few times I didn't take sister Carpenter with me and Pastor dropped me off in front of a very nice hotel and old D me old lame brain me goes to the lobby there's some women in the lobby they're sitting on couches and they said good evening sir oh lame brain me I thought they worked at the hotel I later found out they do work there good evening sir good evening went on to the room got in the room took my coat off my tie off getting ready for bed look the little peepo woman from Lobby manager probably wants to know something open door she said did you find no don't do she didn't say I don't know why they do that stuff looks like that little monkey I used to have as a kid did you find your room okay I said yeah would you like some company so no I'm fine I shut the the door and it daed on me God that's one of them so help me I did this I took the dresser and I pushed the dresser up to the door first person I called was my wife I said penny I'm in a room and said one of them come to the door I shut the door I hung up with her I called the pastor I said pastor one of them come to the door you know why it's not tempting why would I want to throw away why would I want to throw away come on Dad's come on Dad's tonight your kids think you're the best thing since Superman and Batman don't throw it away come on Mom your kids think you're the best thing don't throw it away come on Pastor your kids think you're the best thing go look don't look I wish I could sing the song Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus behold his glorious face and I'm not singing it right and the cares of this world will grow strangely dim in the light glory and grace let i s It Right Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus behold his Wonder F face and the things of this world will grow strange de in the light of his glory and grace oh Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus sir Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus it may mean turning your television off but Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus it may be turning the wrappings of the devil that gives you all the beauty it may not to your flesh be beautiful Jesus there was no Beauty found in him but if you could learn to Turn Your Eyes Upon him because he's deeper than the beauty he's got life and he's got life Everlasting don't look at the church as a bunch of rules and regulations look at it as Liberation look at it as Freedom look at it it's power Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus study the consequences come on Eve Genesis 3 and 6 and when the woman saw that the tree was good for food she shouldn't have just saw that it was good for food she should have saw the consequences death death Joshua 7:21 and when I saw among the spoils a goodly babylonius garment it's achen achen took something that was not his and because of that he his wife and his entire family was stoned and burned and set up as a monument never to do that come on Samson judges 141 Samson went down to Timnath and saw a woman in Timnath come on Samson it's the end of your ministry Samson it's the end of your ministry come on David man after God's Own heart and I want to tell every man in here tonight including the man that's preaching to you don't ever get to believing that you're beyond Temptation don't ever get to believing you're beyond falling the devil's got a Temptation especially wrapped up for you come on David get off that Housetop 2 Samuel 11 and2 came to pass in an evening time that David arose from off his bed walked upon the roof of the King's house and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself come on David because of this your name will have a blot on it because of this David you're going to have four Sons to die prematurely come on David you're going to bury a baby come on David come on David look at the consequences come on Judas Matthew 273 then Judas which had betrayed him when he saw that he was condemned repented himself and brought again the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests and Elders verse four saying I have sinned and that I have betrayed the innocent blood and they said what is that to us see thou to that verse 5 and he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed and went and hanged himself come on Judas before you sell him out you better weigh you better weigh the consequences let me tell you something the final Temptation that you and I will have will be fixing our eyes on what is profitable and refraining from fixing our eyes on sin what are you looking at John here's the second tempt ation here's the second Temptation it's found in well wouldn't you have it is found in the last chapter of our Bible the final temptation is in the last chapter of our Bible Revelation 22 verse1 he showed me a pure River of Water of Life clear as Crystal proceeding out of the Throne of God and of the lamb in the midst of the street in and on either side of the river was there the Tree of Life bear 12 manner of fruits and yielded her fruit every month the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the Nations and there shall be no more curse but the Throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it and his servants Shall Serve him and they shall see his face and his name shall be in their foreheads and there shall be no need of night there and there shall be no night there and they need no candle neither light of the Sun for the Lord God giveth them light and they shall rain forever and ever and he said unto me these things these sayings are faithful and true and the Lord God of the Holy prophets sent his Angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done behold I come quickly brother Hammond and behold I come quickly blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book here it is the final Temptation and I John saw these things and heard them and when I heard and seen I fell down to worship before the feet of the Angel which showed me these things then saith he unto me see thou do it not for I am thy fellow servant and of thy Brethren the prophets and of them which keep the sayings of the book look at how it ends in verse n worship God can I tell you no one or anything should be the thermostat for your praise and for your worship no one nothing no emotion no heartache no Valley should be your thermostat to praise God and to worship God John was amazed with what he saw and when he saw it and heard it he fell down at the angel speak to worship
